20 Best Treats For English Bulldogs (2023 Updated)

My 26lb, ~2yr old pup has a pretty sensitive tummy. These are somewhat stinky, soft and very crumbly. I always introduce new treats very slowly to my pup with just 1 or 2 treats a day broken into very tiny bits.

These have not caused her any tummy troubles. They’re easy to break into bits because they’re so crumbly. Some people may not like this property. It’s just my personal preference that soft, crumbly treats allow me to use very tiny bits as treats (esp useful while training because you don’t want to go overboard with the pup’s calories!) The ingredients seem simple and minimal too.

My dogs absolutely love these treats, but be careful what you order them with as they are fragile – and Chewy has never treated them as such. When shipped with light items – all’s good, but anything heavy, the treats are crushed – and you get crumbs.

Every so often I forget, i. e. I ordered them with my pee pads, or one time I ordered with my 15 pound of dog food. Sigh. Chewy has always been great about responding – but who wants to call and complain.

I used it to sprinkle over my reg dog food, but would rather use it as a treat. Again – highly recommend this product – just don’t order with anything heavy.

My Aussie is so picky with her food and treats due to allergies and digestive issues. It seems like the only foods she can handle are salmon, white fish, etc. And even then she’ll turn her nose up to them.

Needless to say I was shocked when I received my order today and found her nosing through the box. She actually pulled out these treats! She could hardly contain her excitement. I gave her a few and she gobbled them down.

I had to hide them or else she would eat the whole bag. Now we wait to see if she has any reactions. So far, so good! Yea! I think we have a winner!.

Before we found another method to train our puppy, this treat was the only one that has held his attention the longest. Now, my husband and I use a game of tug to train him, but we also use these treats for when he is doing an especially good job during training! As soon as I reach for the bag, he is already guessing what trick he needs to do and it is just the cutest thing! Also, I am a big fan of the ingredients (so is my puppy!).

I tried putting these in my puppy’s Kong and he won’t touch it. I even tried to train him with these while he’s hungry and motivated by food–but he takes one sniff and refuses them. When I offer them freely, he backs away from them as if they’re a threat and prefers to play with them instead.

When I put them in his puzzle toy mixed in with other kibble and treats, these are the only ones he leaves behind! He REALLY HATES these!.

These are absolutely fantastic treats. They are big and soft enough to easily cut up into 2-4 pieces for smaller dogs or puppies, or just to stretch the treat budget, but miracle of miracles, they don’t crumble away to nothing like most other training treats I have found.

I have actually cut some up into as many as 12 pieces, but the resulting bits were much too small for my big boy. They still didn’t crumble, though. It was amazing. Most importantly, of course, my dog also loves them.

So why only 4 stars? Because they stink to high heaven, with a seriously noxious odor that nearly makes me sick to my stomach every time I open the bag. I mean, like uncleaned outhouse level stench. Truly unbelievable.

I still buy them because of their virtues, but I alternate with Zuke’s Minis just to have a break from the odor even though they crumble more. My pup likes them both equally well.

my husky loves these treats! since he’s a big dog i love to use them to teach him teeth awareness. i hold the treat in my fingers and he nibbles at the treat gently. these are also perfect for training on the go! small enough to not be filling during training, and don’t seem to be “fatty.

” my baby loves these and i love them too! i wish there would be deals where you buy a certain amount and get one or two for free. we will continue to buy these for him though. they are his favorite treat!.

So I have had my two mini pomsky girls, 2 years old and I have had them on this brand for the past Year now. looking back on all the reviews on different brands and the amount of money I’ve waisted I came across this one.

I’ve seen Allergies clear up which is the real reason I switched over to this Brand based on reviews. I purchase the small bites because small dogs don’t eat normal sized bites. I really don’t care for their after breath smell but no big deal.

I brush their teeth before bed time. So I figured I will go ahead and purchase the treats as well! When I received the treats I gave a whole one to each girl. The size was good but still too big. I normally break treats in several pieces anyways to last longer and feeding too many treats that big isn’t good.

After a month of these treats it’s still hard for the girls to chew but I am okay with it as it gives them time to enjoy it, keeps them occupied, and I’m sure it help with scrapping their teeth. All in all I think the brand is awesome.

My girls seem to love it. FYI they are picky.

I bought these treats for my Coton de Tulear. She has terrible allergies. We finally had allergy testing done and discovered she was allergic to so many things. I found the Zignature Kangaroo food and started her on it.

She loved it and her skin started doing better. I saw these treats and figured I’d give them a try. She gobbles them down! They are pretty hard but she doesn’t mind. Now, when my granddog Beagle comes over he wants these as well.

It’s kind of funny to hear both of them crunching away. I’ve even started ordering 2 bags at a time because I don’t want to run out.

Our large breed dog loves these treats. They are very hard and she loves to crunch them. We sometimes break them into smaller pieces for walks or for practicing tricks and training. But they are quite hard to break.

We use them mainly for finishing a training session instead of at beginning or middle because she does better with chewing when she is done with activity. We use smaller treats for advanced training.

These are good smelling treats, very hard consistency better for large breed dogs.

At first my Coco didn’t seem interested but a day later I saw him figure out how to get something real tasty out of the center. I bought 3 and he only has one side that still has some stuffing left. Pretty good size for a yorkie but he loves the stuffing.

Well unfortunately I got a variety of all those shin bones that were stuffed and when they got to my door I can hardly pick up the box they were GiANT!! I guess I was never told how huge they were but I guess I never asked either but I have a 23 lb sheltie and a 28 pound sheltie/American Eskimo and neither one of them could even pick them up but all my neighbors have bigger dogs and I shared them with them so I’d like it to be known that they Are not the size they look on the website there for large dogs and when I even got the small sizes.

He loved it in the beginning. But once he got the stuffing out so far he couldn’t reach the rest and it hardened so he lost interest. I have tried to soften it by adding yogurt and peanut butter. It helps to a point but I will probably end up scraping out the reminder with a knife.

The bone is a bit to heavy for him to carry easily.

I’ve bought 4 boxes so far and my Corgi pup loves them. Not all the sticks in the box are fat and chunky. Some are skinny and some are odd shaped. Regardless of the “less than ideal” size and shape, I still think it’s a great deal.

Plus my dog enjoys the size variety. Most recent box I bought in Apr 2021 had red/pink color bully sticks. They weren’t brown like the previous boxes I purchased but my dog enjoyed them a lot and it DOESN’T STINK! Thank goodness for the improvement!! The older version was very stinky but I only put up with it because my dog loved them so much.

I will continue to purchase. If you receive reddish/pinkish colored bully sticks, don’t worry it’s not defective! Thank Chewy for sending you non-stinky bully sticks ;).

I got this to wear to a concert as they have the ‘leather’ look to them and sure enough I had a couple of people ask if they were leather. I wore them all afternoon and into the night and they are so comfortable.

I didn’t get hot either! A plus for a over 50 woman. I did a ton of walking and up and down dancing. They fit well and most important, stayed put! No falling down and having to constantly adjust them.

Sorry I don’t give a 5 star on any product but it would be a 4 and 3/4 if I could.

I have numerous pairs of MPG, all medium. These are very compressive, snug in waist. Slippery inner so I pulled up several times. But, if you have shapely legs, get a pair cause man, they make your legs look fantastic.

Fit like a glove! I first purchased the black and then came back for the port. I am not usually into shine, but I wanted to try something different. I am very happy with both pair. I bought the black in large and decided on medium in the port.

My dog (Belgian Malinois) loved this. I really liked that they are individually wrapped. Makes it easy to carry in my purse. The only downfall is they make a big crumbly mess. Nothing a vacuum cleaner couldn’t handle.

Our dog loves these. Its almost as though she can smell them through the box. She is a very food driven dog, so she chews through these in about 20 minutes. She is a parsons terrier.

We have two Labradoodles and they love this treat. We get all different flavors and they’ve never turned their nose up at any of them. We love Chewy and their fast, free shipping. The way they treat their customers is absolutely the best in the business.

My adopted dog is about 1 year old and I’ve been taking her to in-person intermediate obedience classes. She has a really strong desire to play with the other dogs and has a hard time focusing in class.

Finding treats that keep her attention has been a struggle and I usually need to bring about 5 different treat options to the hour-long class because she’ll quickly lose interest in each one. These come in bigger strips, so I broke them up in to small bits ahead of training.

And my dog LOVED them. I was able to keep her focused on me using these treats for 30 whole minutes before I had to swap out to something else. By comparison, her typical Zukes training treats we use successfully at home lasted her 3-5 minutes in class.

My dogs love tripe, and this product is not an exception! Tripe is great for stopping dogs from eating grass, so I always recommend green tripe as a well needed supplemental food. This product originally came in sheets, which could easily be broken up into training sized pieces.

However, Pet Kind has changed the shape into rolled-up bones. My dogs still love the product, but I will not buy it anymore due to the shape change. This is great if you want to feed your dog a bone, but it’s almost impossible now to break them up into training sized treat pieces.

So if you want a “treat” – no, I wouldn’t recommend this product. However, if you want a “bone” this product is the way to go! I’m disappointed in the shape change, but my dogs don’t care (which matters most)!.

All dogs like tripe treats, and my dogs love them. They are soft, so older dogs can chew them. Also, they can easily be cut up into smaller pieces and used for training treats. My only complaint is the cost.

They are too expensive. Chewy has other brands of tripe treats of equal quality, and you will get more for less.

My dog Sage just turned ten. She is a Husky/Collie mix about 80 pounds. Her arthritis was getting worse and I had her on generic rimadyl daily. Watching her trying to stand up, painfully hopping up stairs, and needing a boost into the car was heartbreaking.

Knowing that rimadyl is hard on her and needs to be monitored with bloodwork, I decided to try CBD. I am only using one treat per day, but the recommended dose it 2-3 per day. After just two days, she was much more comfortable.

Our 17 year old Schnauzer needed something badly. She was struggling with OCD behaviors as well as not being able to sleep through the night. We tried xanax but it seemed to make her even more neurotic.

The vet suggested CBD so we found these. She loves the treats but they are really hard and she has few teeth and the few she has aren’t in great shape so it takes her a long time to eat them. We will be moving to oil once the treats are gone sadly.

She was groomed shortly after and our groomer couldn’t believe how much better she did there. Our pet sitter said he was shocked how much better she was when we were gone. I was losing hope we’d find anything to help her with her dementia and OCD but this did the trick.

We can also tell her arthritis isn’t bothering her as much anymore. I have already suggested this product to many people in hopes it can help their pets as well.

We gave our Doberman Lola the Peanut Butter and Banana treats a couple of hours before the weather really got nasty. She is normally panting and highly distressed by thunderstorms, so we prepared for the hurricane by trying out this product.

IT WORKED! She normally hides in the closet, wimpering, panting, but she was walking throughout the house and was calm. We were really surprised. I’m buying more because we get big thunderstorms (and hurricanes) in Florida – the “”lightning capital of the usa””.
