20 Best Treadmills For Heavy Runners (2023 Updated)

We live in a 2nd floor condo and this is HEAVY, my wife and are quite strong but we struggled moving the unpacked parts, hence my suggestion to assemble it in the area where you intend to use, it is actually easier to move once assembled with the wheels installed as delivered, but we had a restricted route to the final place of usage.

The instructions were excellent and if you take your time its easy. Be careful with the connector between the main frame and the console mine arrived with a bend pin which I managed to straighten but it looked at first that this was a doa unit.

_x000D_ The connector is not flimsy just needs confident and careful pushing together once you’ve cut off the retaining clip. _x000D_ _x000D_ Just started using it and it is quiet and easy to use, very gradual in start up and the handles make you feel safe.

This is a fantastic treadmill. It was easy to put together and easy to use. It was worth every penny and I would recommend it to anyone who would like to have a very quiet treadmill in your home. I can walk on it at night when everyone is sleeping and no one hears me walking.

I absolutely love this treadmill. Very high quality and well built. I live in a small apartment and the treadmill works out perfectly in here. The low deck is a plus also. It’s only 4″ up off the floor to step on up to.

I would suggest though to have 2 people available to have you bring it in and unboxing it. After that your golden.

Love my new treadmill! It came fully assembled which is a bonus. Just needed help lifting up the top of the treadmill as that part is quite heavy. at least for me. I like the pause button if you need to get off it for a few seconds your progress isn’t lost.

And I love the wide running mat.

I did A LOT of research. This is hands down the best tread for the money. I’ve had it about a month and it is great! It’s right outside of our nursery and is quiet enough for me to use while my baby sleeps.

I primarily walk on it (no running) and it’s great for that. I have a lot of orthopedic issues and so far it seems to be keeping me pain free. I was a little worried about using it to primarily walk after reading reviews, but I’m very happy.

We put the tread on our second floor and my husband said it is extremely heavy. When delivered, it was left on a pallet in the driveway, so you will definitely need help getting it inside/where you plan to keep it.

The biggest downside is that there is no cup holder and no option to even buy one. I wish this was different for the pro. I am going to figure out a way to build my own. If this tread is going to be in a residential setting, it needs a cup holder option.

Also, we are working on a way to lock it up so kids can’t play on it. It would be good to have a way or an accessory to do this as well.

Very disappointed! I purchased the air runner days before you ran your special when if you bought the air runner you get the stationary air bike free. I called your company to see if you would honor your special.

I was told No! That is very poor business!! I will not promote your product to friends or family. I will not speak highly of your product. For a matter of days you don’t honor this promotion?????? Why not? I have 3 children that have beautiful home gyms.

All three are looking for top of the line treadmills. Because of this they are looking at other top of the line treadmills. They will not consider purchasing anything from assault!! I will continue my efforts verbally and on all social media urging others to purchase treadmills other than the assault air runner.

Shame on you!!!!!.

Easily the first time I’ve enjoyed running on a treadmill. I’m usually an outdoor runner or trail runner, but I wanted something at home to do sprints and to use for training in the winter. I had never used a manual tread before so this was a bit of a risk on my part, but the reviews were hard to ignore.

Assembly was simple, delivery was quick and I immediately felt a difference when trying it out. The tread was so smooth and easy to get started. I also noticed my running form was getting better. Honestly surprised at how much I’m enjoying it and I can’t wait to add another Assault product to my home soon.

This one was a win!.

It performs as it should. Somewhat difficult to line up parts during assembly. Difficult to gain access under belt to apply lubrication. The wheels on the unit provided to move the treadmill from one location to another are not adequate nor functional.

The treadmill is quiet during use. It is safer to use than most other treadmills due to the side railings. We are happy with it.

Great treadmill. I am a Plus member of many years. I had just gotten out of the hospital after a month long bout of issues that kept me bedridden and needing to learn to be mobile again. I found this item.

Only 3 left. I immediately researched this product and found Sam’s price the lowest of anywhere )plus no shipping. I snatched this treadmill up. My home therapist was skeptical when I told him what I had ordered the next day.

Now after a friend put this together with no problems. My therapist wonders why everyone does not know about this treadmill. I stand taller than when using a roll-a-tor for mobility. I am starting out slow (0.

2) and can only do a minute at this time. But every minute is a step in the direction of mobility again. I can not recommend this treadmill highly enough for anyone going through health issues and in need of rehabilitation.

The treadmill is perfect as a minimalist device just the basics (speed, HR, time, distance), the lack of motor is a nice change my walk is more natural and I have better control of my pace since I only walk on it it’s great for me.

I also find I feel the workout more than a motorized treadmill though for running I would probably use a motorized treadmill. Not needing A/C and having a small footprint I have more options for placement.

For me, this treadmill is perfect. And I studied a lot of treadmills, including the two that I almost bought (a Nordictrack $800 one, and a Smooth Fitness $900 one). It was easy for a 63 yr old lady who has a bachelor’s degree in health, physical education and health, to put together; most of it was already put together at the factory.

I’m pleased that I’m not using any electricity, since I’m cheap, always trying to save a buck. All I wanted was something to push the heart a bit, and this really does. I simply walk inside the house for a set time, and then hop on the treadmill for an additional 10 or 15 minutes of uphill.

I don’t run, but walk, but you can increase/decrease your workout on this treadmill by simply walking faster or slower. It is very easy to pace yourself, once you get the knack of walking on it. The LCD display is great, although myself, I find it sort of distracting to know I’ve walked a long time, only to look to see that I’ve only burned about 10 calories.

:/ Of course, this isn’t the machine’s fault. It works quite well, not a lot of bells and whistles, although it tells you basics (time, distance, calories burned, pulse rate) It doesn’t take up lots of space, and I guess it folds up, but why would I want to fold it up? I just GOT it.

How can I use it if it’s folded up? Well, in the end, yeah, I would definitely recommend it. But remember, you can only go uphill. That’s what keeps the belt moving, but that’s what keeps your heart moving, too, which might be why you’re alive now and reading this, especially if you’re an old bat, like me.

The picture does not do it any justice, put a motor on it and you’d think you had one of those professional models. I was amazed when I got it setup. I am 5’7 and I was worried if it would be a short stride walkin on this treadmill.

I can keep a long and consistent walking stride. The 3 inclines suprised me as well. With this being manual it makes you work you don’t get to pace on a motor ran belt (I like that part). I did put it together myself (female here.

sigh you might want to find a friend) plus side it is majority put together in the box. you have to put on the console the wires are already ran through the rails all you have to do is plug them in and put in the 2 batteries (they give you) for the console readings.

The heartrate sensors are pretty good another surprise. Lastly it folds up so if you have a place to push up against a wall you’ll be good on saving space if you needed. Overall, I am just happy and tickled pink with this purchase.

I wanted a strong manual WALKING, yes this is only a WALKING treadmill and this was the one for me.

Awful. Came in dozens of pieces. Took over an hour just to unbox. The instructions were horrible and half the pieces were warped and wouldn’t go together without a lot of encouragement from a hammer.

The arm on the base that holds the track up when folded sticks and is a nightmare to get it to open to let the base unfold. The hydraulic arm doesn’t work all the time and it’s a struggle to get it to let the base go all the way down (when the other arm isn’t stuck).

I also don’t for one second believe this thing can handle anywhere near 400 pounds. If I could figure out how to repackage and return this thing, I would. (I have owned this brand of treadmill, just an older model, in the past and I loved it.

Definitely not the same quality it used to be! I am also very skilled at assembling all sorts of things, treadmills included. This one really is just a piece of junk. ).

Easy to assemble, but the very first piece that I had to attach was defective. It was too narrow to fit. I contacted the manufacturer and was immediately sent a replacement part at no cost. It arrived within a couple of days.

There was also one area on the main tredmill that was missing a hole for a screw to go in. At that point I decided to continue the assembly without it. I would probably have to take the whole thing back to the store and I didn’t want to deal with that.

It works great even without the missing screw. It dosent take up as much space as I thought it would.

Have had this treadmill for a couple weeks and my initial impression is that I am impressed overall though it has some less than desirable traits. First the build, pretty straight forward for the most part but one problem I ran across and have seen other reviews state the same thing, there are plastic cover pieces that connect the handle handle bars and console.

These are just cosmetic pieces to cover where the connection between the two units occur. Talk about a PITA, you have to connect a super tiny screw from underneath through the plastic piece to the console area.

This alone was over half the time the build required and even at that I was only able to get 3 of the 4 screws in the right location. The forth screw is angled inside the side of the plastic piece. Bad design but it doesnt affect the overall use of the treadmill.

The treadmill itself and power it has really feels like a solid unit. The motor is quiet in comparison to some other treadmills I have used and when it elevates its very smooth. The basic programs and functionality of the unit work great and I enjoy the basic screen display.

Overall the controls are pretty well though out. One issue I had was the User 1 and User 2 settings. Either I don’t fully understand how to use these or they are not very functional. It isnt something I would have needed anyways.

Couple things to keep in mind as far as the Sole Apps, the two Android apps are useless. First they wouldnt work, they were glitchy and pretty useless to keep track of your workouts. I use another app on my phone and manually enter my data.

There is a program called Studio that they show on the Sole website that offers 30 days free trial which is a digital fitness platform. Here comes the issue with that, its only for iOS products, so if you are like 70+ percent of the public and use Android you wont be able to use this platform.

Nowhere on the Sole website does it state this information. I had to contact Studio and they informed me only Apple products are supported and no plans to move to Android in the future. So that was a bummer.

The fan and speaker on the unit are useless. Which I think won’t really matter for most people. Most treadmills have weak fans and anyone who needs air flow will have a powerful fan off to the side blowing on them.

The Tiny speakers don’t really come into play either because just like most people you either don’t have any entertainment on and go quiet running, have a tv on in front of you are use headphones and stream your music.

These are all things future models could improve on but are not the main reason you buy a treadmill. Overall value is excellent though and the hope is it will continue to perform well for years to come.

This was actually my second choice in treadmills but had to go pick it up because of a big issue with Nordictrack aka iFit. I have iFit products and have enjoyed the on screen workouts but had some issues with their equipment.

Regardless I purchased a 1750 direct from Nordictrack which was only supposed to take a couple weeks to be shipped and received. Well long story short, they shipped in 3 days, the delivery company had the product but wouldn’t schedule delivery, nobody ever called me to schedule a date.

After two months of endless phone calls to Nordictrack they finally cancelled my order out of the blue. Seems as though Nordictrack/iFit is having some huge problems with distribution and nobody at that company wanted to help.

So after the cancellation instead of ordering online Dicks had the F80 (which was my initial second choice) in stock where I could go pick it up and be done. The people at Dicks were very nice and helped load the big box.

I highly recommend the staff at Dicks over these online direct ship retailers.

This is a great treadmill! We are very happy with this purchase. It feels very sturdy, runs smoothly, and it looks great. We bought this thinking that we needed something as quiet as can be, and this is even quieter than I expected! If you turn off the fan, it makes it even quieter.

We have this on a treadmill mat on carpet, and it’s very stable. The folding up feature of the treadmill makes it easy to save a bit of space when needed, and makes vacuuming underneath a breeze. To be able to push the lever and then let it fall slowly all on its own back to running position is important.

I didn’t want a treadmill that could fall and hurt kids or a pet if it gets bumped, and I didn’t want to trust our teen to rely on strength to lower it safely. The iPad holder (including for the larger Pro) with a USB-A charging port there means that the whole family can cycle through taking turns while having some entertainment.

I used a stick-on clip to position a charging cord there, and that cord now blends in and lives right there all the time. I really like the incline and speed up and down buttons on the left and right arms.

They are very convenient. There are tons of great storage spaces for water bottles, towels, phones, things from your pockets, etc. Additional comments / potential improvements:People have mentioned that the lag time between selecting an incline and getting to that incline is slow, but this doesn’t bother me at all.

It seems to start on its way right away and make slow, gradual motion until it gets there. No problem! I’m not trying to simulate speed bumps. I have no problem with the behavior of this treadmill in that regard.

My one complaint (it’s a small thing, but for me, personally, it’s a tough one) is that there is no hundredths place on the mileage. This is such an easy thing to have included that it’s disappointing it’s not there.

I, and many others I know, make running on a treadmill into a mind game. “Just a little further. ” “I’ll stop when I get another quarter mile in. ” I can’t do that NEARLY so effectively when I don’t see the hundredths place tick by.

I wish Sole had enabled that resolution or at least provided a setting to show it for those of us who do want it. This comment is here mostly in hopes Sole will see it and make a change to future models, because overall, the product is a winner, but had I realized this ahead of time, I may not have wound up with this product.

Regardless, I’m glad we did, because this is a great treadmill!.

It is a complicated thing to design and manufacture a treadmill; to send it from the factory in China; to have it shipped from the port in Los Angeles to me in San Francisco; to have technicians set it up all this was done, even in the midst of this pandemic, smoothly.

I dealt with companies in Salt Lake City, Texas and Oakland, not to mention the engineers who designed it, the company in China which did the assembly, packing and shipping, and the ocean freighter which brought it to Los Angeles, and everything was coordinated to perfection.

I admire whoever is overseeing the system. It seems strange that an ordinary person like me should be able to own such a miracle of fabrication and organization. I had a treadmill before, which was probably a good brand, but which failed probably because I over-oiled it.

But I like this one better. Strangely, because it seems so trivial, one of the things I like best is that the Sole has a stand on which I can put my iPad and watch movies. The model I had before required that I rest the iPad over the control screen.

This caused my wife to have an accident, because she did not see the control screen (the iPad was resting on it) as she pushed the acceleration button past the speed she could handle. Small things, but important.

One improvement Sole could make is make it possible to dim the control screen so that its light does not interfere with the movie you are watching. I had to put a piece of cardboard over the control screen to block out the light, which is somewhat low-tech but effective.

There are a lot of nice features one of course being the monitor. It also has an amazing heart rare monitor that is accurate and is helpful in keeping you on your target zone. There is a fan to help cool you down.

A bottle holder up top to make it easier to grab and see so youre bit fumbling around. It has an emergency stop key should you slip. The belt is quite and has a nice shock rebound while running so it doesn’t bother your body while running.

I tore my knee last year which is why I purchased a treadmill it is much easier on my knee and body. The screen is 22 inches and easy to see and watch programs. The screen is touch screen and easy to control.

There is a nice range when it comes to incline and speed. – 3-12% for the incline and has a max speed of 12mph. This is a well made treadmill. Everything was made to last. The frame is steel and has a few plastic features to protect you.

I received this treadmill complimentary in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The delivery process went incredible smooth, the packaging came in excellent condition and there was no physical damage to the unit itself.

The installation was a little time consuming, I would recommend paying someone else to do the install if possible. The instructions were clear, but the unit is pretty heavy and more than one person is needed for a few steps.

The appearance of the treadmill is excellent, its sleek, looks of high quality, and comes with a great 22 inch screen. The screen has been a fantastic feature, one that I enjoyed more than I initial thought I would as someone who doesn’t always care about the newest best technology.

The software that comes with it as well as what’s included in the paid ifit membership. I am more of a speed walker and incline walker, than a runner, but do jog once or twice a week. The incline and decline feature has been more than sufficient for what is needed.

Overall I have truly enjoyed my experience and think the unit is made of high quality and am excited to continue to use my treadmill.

I am very disappointed in the entire process from the minute my treadmill was delivered. First it was assembled incorrectly. The person who delivered and setup the treadmill probably needs retraining.

The belt did not move when turned on and I had to wait 3 weeks for service. The service technician finally arrived yesterday and discovered that the motor was not installed correctly causing the internal belt to pop off the wheel.

There was also a piece that was just lying below the motor that was supposed to be put on. He said that if we used the treadmill with hat piece off we could have damaged the motor. The arm assembly is not on correctly and he said this was done in the initial assembly.

Ge could not fix that. The rubber to the arm is chipped and I would like that replaced. A new treadmill should not look like this. I would like to be contacting regarding this message.

This is a good, basic treadmill if you’re not looking for anything fancy. After getting this for Christmas, during the winter months in Maine I used it about 4 times a week for both running and walking.

I personally don’t mind switching the incline/pace when I’m doing a speed workout (about once per week) so it works well for my needs. I have two main complaints about this treadmill. I don’t know if they’re typical or if my experience is abnormal due to my home, etc so I’ve only removed one star but considered giving it three stars instead.

Twice while walking and once while running the treadmill has just shut off, causing me to lurch forward and grab the support bars. Luckily I have not been injured but I’m very nervous about it happening again.

I keep the treadmill in a mostly unfinished basement next to a gym setup, set around 55 degrees and I’d gone less than 2 miles each time this happened. My other complaint is more minor but more annoying day to day.

I love that it can connect to the smart TV through bluetooth, but plugging earbuds into the treadmill results in a weird background buzzing sound, and the volume of the buttons becomes unbearably loud to the point that I have to remove the earbuds from my ears before changing the speed – not ideal for speedwork.

On a budget or need a basic treadmill? This one will work and I would buy it again. Have extra money to spend? I might consider upgrading in that case.

What a machine! This thing is a beast. Thankfully I didn’t have to put it together as it was installed upon delivery… There are literally a silly number of videos to choose from and most of them are brilliant.

I really wasn’t expecting much of the AI that adjusts the difficulty automatically and didn’t think it would work, but it does which is really impressive. Takes a few sessions to work out how fit you are and after that it’s spot on.

This is a very high quality piece of kit which has met and then exceeded my expectations!.

This treadmill is awesome, it has every feature you could desire and then iFit actually keeps you engaged and interested. I used to just stare at my time or distance, wishing it was over. Now I quite enjoy the experience and find it flies by.

Very happy with my purchase. Only downside was receiving two power cables which do not fit Australian power outlets, still chasing up a replacement, but my computer monitor cord is being used as a temporary stand in.

The product is exactly what I wanted. Very engaging. Only issue I have encountered is that I forgot to check the height of the equipment (my fault). On a lower ceiling (about 8ft) and me being 6ft, I cannot set an incline to > 30% without my head brushing against the ceiling.

Still very happy with purchase. Assembly requires 2 but is definitely achievable by anyone that can assemble ikea furniture.

Well, I had some of the same trouble putting this together that others did–the one stabilizer wouldn’t go on because of the adjustment peg, but I tapped it (literally JUST tapped it) into place with a hammer and I was good to go.

As far as the electronics and wires go, you know, you are supposed to shove the extra wire back into the handle and the actual electronic plugs go back into the hole of the computer, right? You should never have dangling wires.

I had one weird screw that fell out from “somewhere” when I was pulling it out of the box, and I’ve yet to figure out where it came from. It’s fairly tiny, too. So it squeaks constantly and it CLUNKS every so often.

And I’m a little irked that it is now about $60 LESS than I paid for it 10 days ago. I’ll contact Walmart about that. Yes indeedy. The instructions are Engrish–when you see phrases like ” Computer got trouble” and “Power IC board get trouble” you know you’re not dealing with something made in an English speaking country.

While there is SOME direction with regard to oiling the belt, this issue doesn’t seem to be coming from the belt, and I don’t think oiling the belt is going to stop the clunking, either. Meh. Not impressed.

Stops every 10 mins, and make a horrible smell. I’m worried I’ve been breathing in some sort of fumes because I’m sitting here feeling like I’m about to throw up. I have to reset the power on it roughly every 10 mins.

It just cuts off. I’m starting to think it’s getting too hot and burning something that’s causing a smell. Not to mention when it stops it’s instantly and very jarring. I’ve nearly fallen a couple of times and it’s made my leg sore.

I had to go to the doctors for Achilles tendonitis. I can’t prove it was the fault of the treadmill but seems odd to happen right after getting this torture contraption. I want to take it back but I really don’t want to have to disassemble it and then put it into my car and drive it to the store.

No box anymore either. BEWARE – You get what you pay for. Also, when it is working, the buttons on the handle are easy to hit by accident and will stop the treadmill. I feel like the other reviews that are positive are from people who don’t actually use this thing.

It seemed great right after putting it together, but some real use shows it’s horrible.

I’ve had this treadmill for about 5 years. It’s great for fast walking or slow jogging. It’s very quiet and folds when not in use. I’ve never had a problem with the performance. I got this for about half the price it’s currently listed at.

After spending days and weeks researching treadmills we decided to go with Life Span Fitness because they are known for their good warranties and customer support. However, after our recent customer support experience we regret buying our second LifeSpan Fitness treadmill.

Our treadmill is less than a year old and it stopped working. Customer support said it is probably the running belt, but we have been waiting over 3 months for a replacement. What good is a five year warranty if the treadmill does not work during that time? As you can imagine, it is very frustrating to have a large piece of exercise equipment that does not work and just collects dust.

In addition, unlike a couple years ago, you will not be able to talk to a human if/when you call customer support, your voicemails will not be returned, and you will need to wait at least 10 days to get a response to your emails.

If you are like me and buying a LifeSpan treadmill because of their warranty and customer support, I would encourage you to research other companies with similar, if not better options, for the same price and better customer support— as I’m sad to report that LifeSpan is no longer a leader in the fitness equipment industry in these key areas.

Terrible piece of equipment. After 2. 0 months of owning the unit, it is breaking down. I have had 2 third party tech out to assess the situation and both said I have a bent frame that is causing the unit to breakdown.

I had unit delivered to my home in April. I noticed the side of the running board was pressing against the frame. The reseller said LifeSpan wouldn’t replace the unit so my best bet was to get a replacement part to fix the alignment.

Fast forward to now and I have metal grinding and loud squeaking. I have the treadmill set at 6. 5 and step on and run when all of a sudden it slows to about a 2MPH speed, but the digital still says 6.

5. Look at the pictures listen to the video and judge for yourself. I would never recommend this product to anyone I liked. The customer service is garbage and prolonged the ticket long enough so I am outside the service warranty.

Now I am out of luck with a loud treadmill, bad knees and nothing to workout on. I would suggest a gym membership if you are looking at any product.

I have had the treadmill for a little over a year. Within the first 3 months it was making a loud noise when running. The repair shop Lifespan sent out said some bolts were loose. Problem solved. In the next month the speed buttons on the handle stopped working.

Oh well, the speed buttons on the main console still worked so no issue. Recently the treadmill started speeding up and slowing down on it’s own. The technician came out today, said it was wiring and all set.

Ran today and it started speeding up on it’s own again. At this point I’m frustrated and think three repair visits for a treadmill I’ve only had for one year is too much. Would the technician possibly be able to solve it if he came out again? Maybe.

At this point though I’m willing to accept I threw money out the window and I’m going to buy another treadmill from a more established brand. To other reviewers, please note how long you have had the treadmill when posting a review so potential customers have a better idea if it’s a product that lasts.

Most companies ask you to review within a couple of months and everything was perfect with this treadmill then. I waited a year for this specific reason. Perhaps I just got a dud, but I wouldn’t buy a LifeSpan treadmill again.

This has blown me away for the price, I read all the previous reviews so decided to purchase & I really am not disappointed. Its pretty lightweight so easy to move & once out the box has 2 small wheels making it much easier.

You just add a couple of bolts & you are good to go straight out of the box virtually. Great size & folds up making it easy to tuck it away if needed. When in use feels very strong, used on a fast walk and a jog, both fine! Handle bars are a little low (as previous reviews stated) so I just added a bungee cord round the handle bars so I can still hold on with ease.

It does shut off at 30 mins & wipes data so just bare this in mind if you like your stats, doesnt matter for me as I wear a Fitbit anyway & never plan going about 30 mins :0) Pretty quiet, we actually have this in our loft conversation & when in use you cant hear it on the ground floor, no heavy thudding through the house either.

Has some inbuilt programs, not used these yet so cant comment. Overall absolutely fantastic for the price. Ordering & Delivery were both super fast & efficient too, really nothing to complain about here!.

Reasonable quality, certainly for the price. There are limited features, but again, for the price this is okay. In almost every respect it’s reasonably good. The only issue I have with it, and it’s a big one, is that the length of the track is really short.

I bought this to tide me over while the gyms are closed due to COVID-19, so for a few months I can tolerate it, but if you plan to use for the long term then I’d probably look elsewhere. I’m 187cm tall, and have a running stride length of, normally, around 180-185 cm when jogging.

However, due to the length of the track on this treadmill, I’ve had to shorten that stride length to around 130cm. It certainly makes jogging a new challenge, but not one I enjoy.

I bought this model as my daughter has had one for a couple of years and it has proved reliable even after being used almost every day. Easy to set up and once put together simple to fold and store. It feels steady and solid, I use it for fast walking which is great as you can alter the speed in small stages as youre using it either to speed up and also to slow gradually before stopping.

There is a slight incline to it so it feels as though its doing good and I have improved the speed and length of time I can use over the last two weeks, I can feel Im improving my fitness and stamina.

Just touch the button to see what speed, how far youre doing, how many calories youve used etc, very simple and straightforward and safety cord just clips on your clothing. I think its a great buy for the money and you can watch tv and get your exercise whatever the weather.

I am a previous user of treadmills but not for some time, certainly not upmarket modern treadmills like the Nordictrack that I purchased, these were the old style treadmill super boring we just stood up and walked, super boring so eventually gave it up even though I actually found it quite convenient because being in Queensland having rainy weather for months and months on end very difficult to get outside and exercise particularly when working full time hours.

I took a long time to buy the Nordictrack as I felt as though I couldn’t justify the expense. Well, The only thing I am sorry about is that I didn’t buy this treadmill sooner, how can you put a price on good health.

I absolutely love it it is so easy to use and my gosh so much fun with the interactive screen it is so the opposite of boring. So many classes, so little time!! I he trainers are amazing, it’s honestly like having my own PT.

I have done the recorded classes and also some live classes! It still feels like magic when doing a live class and the trainer tells you what they are going to do next and all of a sudden your treadmill does exactly that yet they are in America and I’m in Australia and it’s live.

I find that whole process is just amazing and magical and just so much fun. One of the features I absolutely love it is that the iFIT tablet records all my statistics it records how many workouts I do records all my sessions so I can go back any time and see what I’m up to.

I love the variety of the classes so if I’ve had a particularly long day and I’m not feeling as energetic I can just load up a easy walking session or if I’m really feeling it I can load up a high energy session.

I also love that there are sessions that it’s not just about walking I’m also now learning to run and also toning sessions where we actually do body resistance training for your whole body. There are sessions that are quite educational about health and fitness and before you know it I’ve done a 30 minute walk around an amazing location and I have learnt heaps along the way.

Very much enjoyed the fact that you could do a free month trial with the iFit program and after doing my free month trial I am absolutely going to continue on it’s not a lot of money every month really when you consider how much it would cost to go to a gym or hire a PT.

In fact I think at the moment my Netflix subscription is more every month and what the iFit subscription is! The treadmill has an inbuilt fan which is also a huge bonus and I can control the volume level of music and as a bonus the volume level of the trainer on the tablet.

My husband and I opted to put the treadmill together ourselves the sales person at Rebel was great explaining things to us on purchase and offered to give us the phone number of someone if we needed it putting it together is not difficult but it did take us a few hours so be prepared for either an entire morning or afternoon but well worth it.

We found the process of buying it with Rebel very easy and the staff excellent to deal with. And yes this is a very long review and no I am not paid by Nordic track or rebel. 🙂 Just a very happy customer and now look forward to exercising every day.

The Nordictrack S25i is a brilliant treadmill for beginners and intermediate level walkers and joggers. It is quiet, it’s build quality is high, and it is sturdy when running with speed. The operation is easy to follow due to the simple layout of the control panel and the large labelled buttons that can be selected easily whether walking or running.

The incline works perfectly and gives additional burn in your calf and glute muscles. Super happy with the product and would recommend buying it for people that want the convenience of jumping on the treadmill for a quick walk in between meetings, or when the sun has gone down, or if you have a webcast, then during the presentation.

I would also recommend having someone come and install it as there does look to be quite a few parts and even though there are detailed instructions, it’s a comfort knowing that the machine has been put together correctly and I’m not going to damage anything.

It was only marginally more expensive to do so but well worth it as it was operational in half an hour as opposed to half a day or more had I attempted myself. Also want to highlight how easy it is to move around as well.

Haven’t tried the Ifit subscription yet but looking forward to doing so.

The treadmill was fairly easy to assemble and has worked pretty well. We’ve had it for just over a month, so I can’t speak to it’s durability, but so far it’s been good. It’s stable, comfortable to run on and folds up easily.

There are controls for starting, stopping, changing speed and incline that are not on the tablet screen, but unfortunately you can’t just use the treadmill without the tablet. This means you have to wait for it to start up, tell it a few times that you don’t want to use iFit and wait while it tries not to accept that before you can just get going on the treadmill.

It’s not bad, but could be better. The tablet has worked OK for us, though even just in the first month it froze up once and had to be reset. I don’t know if the kids did something to make the tablet freeze up or if it just had a problem.

It’s easy to reset, but it takes a little while and wouldn’t be a problem if you could just use the non-tablet controls to start and adjust the treadmill. Overall, a nice treadmill that would be better if you didn’t have to mess with their software.

I have had the treadmill for nearly a month and it’s still unusable at this time. The claim about this amazing warranty is garbage. I’m spending multiple hours taking this thing apart and waiting on 45 minutes to over an hour on hold trying to reach someone.

I get told to email pictures and explanations and have to wait way longer than necessary to get a response. The main reason I went with this treadmill was due to the warranty but if they will not honor it then it’s a waste of money.

So if these kind of things will bother you about a company than steer clear of this company/product. I get it that every company gets busy but, they could at least make an effort. They are essentially getting free hours of work from me at this point instead of paying their own technicians.

On a side note I have used a working version of the assault runner at a gym and it’s an amazing product, that’s the reason I purchased this. I will edit this review with an update if it ever gets resolved.

Purchased the Assault Runner and Bike during a recent flash sale. Upgraded to the Elite for the treadmill part and stuck with the pro for the Bike. Morgan Preston in their customer service department made it super easy to modify the order.

Extremely happy with both pieces of equipment. Wife is an experienced runner and this was her first time on a manual treadmill. She now prefers it to a motorized one. The bike is a staple in most gyms for a reason.

Assembly was straightforward. Together the two pieces of equipment totaled 500 lbs so if you are going to a down stairs basement like we did call a strong friend!.

Bought my assault runner elite and an assault bike on what was marketed as the best deal of the year. Less then three weeks later they offer and a free assault bike with an assault runner pro. Contacted customer service about this as I was considering buying two runners.

Offered only $200 and the same deal if bought right that second. It was horrible customer service, a horrible business move and alienated me from ever wanting to use this company again. It’s sad because I enjoy the gear, but quality of customer service and doing that to customers after the offer the best deal of the year is terrible.

I’d recommend going through Rogue for the bike and TruForm for the treadmill. Much better customer service.
