20 Best Trader Joes Salad Dressing (2023 Updated)

This is one of my always in my fridge items from Trader Joe’s. It is not difficult to make your own balsamic glaze but this is easy, tastes fantastic, and lasts a long time. I put this on some fresh mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto and it’s the perfect protein snack.

THIS!! If you love balsamic you need this. I literally put it on (almost) anything. Pizza? Boom 10x better. Salmon? Boom. Chicken? Boom. It lasts awhile because a little drizzle goes a long way but it really elevates dishes.

This is a staple in my pantry. It goes great on everything; pizzas, salads, sandwiches, etc. I always drizzle some on my avocados and avo toast. A little goes a long way, so it lasts forever! Highly recommend.

I have tried the Ranch, Chipotle Ranch, Bac’n Ranch, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Honey Dijon, Thousand Island, and Caesar. All the ranch flavors are pretty nice. Chipotle by far has the most “typical” dressing flavor, but of course the heat and peppery flavor doesn’t always suit.

The Bac’n one has a strong artificial bacon flavoring, similar to those crunchy soy bacon bits. Actually, I think it has those bits in the dressing. I like it a lot, though, personally. The plain ranch is a little bland, but fine.

Not quite herby and black peppery enough for me. I’ll probably stick to the flavored ranches. The balsamic is quite decent, but not very tart. This is easily amended by adding some vinegar. The honey dijon and thousand island are good decent representations of the style.

The honey dijon makes an excellent dipping sauce. All of the above taste quite nice and flavorful as a dipping sauce but become a bit bland (or require a lot!) when tossed into a salad. I usually add some vinegar and maybe a dash of extra salt to punch up the flavor without adding calories.

I may add a few drops of oil if I have calories to spare. Last and also certainly least. the caesar. It’s terrible. As another reviewer noted, it has an unmistakeable aftertaste of vomit. I tried to convince myself that I only felt that way because I read that review so I wouldn’t waste a bottle of dressing, but I had to throw it out.

I don’t know if it’s something they’re using to recreate the “anchovy” flavor or the tartness or something else, but it’s absolutely awful. Stick to the other options. Put bac’n ranch on your “caesar” salad and call it a day.

Let me start by first saying that I have, since I was a child, detested vinegar-based dressings. I have never been a fan and typically try to stay away from them. I purchased a bottle of this dressing a while back and could not believe how much I loved it.

It isn’t too tangy, doesn’t leave that acidic film in my mouth, and it tastes so good. The combination is perfect. I don’t think I’ve ever had a salad dressing so well designed. Out of curiosity, I checked to see if Vitacost had this dressing, since I was able to find the vinegar, and my eyes nearly popped out of my head.

I paid a little over $6 the last time I purchased it and here it was discounted at a better price on the Vitacost site. I was able to get it for less than $5. I know that’s only a dollar difference, but I pinch pennies wherever I can.

This dressing is great on salads, but I could pour it in a shot glass and enjoy it that way as well, though I won’t. The health benefits are also great. It has pro/prebiotics, is antibacterial (ginger, garlic), antioxidants and good fats (sesame seeds, garlic), and tastes so good, if I haven’t mentioned it before.

This is the first time I tried this particular product from Bragg;delicious!!! I have purchased several others and was extremely satisfied! This Vinaigrette is perfect for salads or marinades. Hard to believe it is oil free because it is sooo good!!! Anything from this company is a winner! Highly recommend.

I have some pretty heavy dietary restrictions and use this as salad dressing nearly every day. My only small gripe is that if you are having a large salad, the recommended amount does not go very far taste wise and the more you put in the salad, the more sodium you are getting.

A sodium free version of this, perhaps with potassium sulfate would be absolute perfection. So happy to find this on Vitacost. With all the health consciouness today, you’d think more local shops would carry it but it’s nearly impossible to find.

This is a great clean dressing. I used this on a variety of different salads and I think it’s the perfect Amount of sweetness. You can add to a salad with berry’s and it’s not too sweet but also great with some lettuce and nuts and seeds.

I like that it’s simple, ingredients and it’s dairy free. Wish the bottle was a little bigger but still highly recommend.

Primal Kitchen is absolutely amazing. I have been using their Buffalo sauce on everything since I first tasted it. It is going to be the same with this new Ranch Dressing. It has this wonderful consistency that is only slightly oily and wonderful to eat.

The Ranch flavor is very natural and not too strong. You can get a slight hint of avocado along with some subtle spices as well. It is a wonderful addition to any meal that somehow seems to always add the right amount of flavor in the right direction.

I have dipped vegetarian buffalo wings and vegetables in it while watching hockey, put it on vegetarian egg and chorizo soft tacos first thing in the morning, and used it as the finishing touch for every salad I have at night.

It is perfect for every food and every time of day. Primal Kitchen understands flavor more than any other company in the market including the billion dollar giants.

This Caesar dressing lacked taste. Even though there is supposed to be roasted garlic, garlic powder and rosemary extract I couldn’t even taste any of it. It was also a little more tart than I would have expected or liked it to be with the apple cider and distilled vinegars present.

It really didn’t taste like a Caesar dressing at all. Couldn’t taste the black pepper either. There is a taste that carries through while you are eating it but I couldn’t put my finger on what it was exactly, it just tasted cardboard like.

Personally I wouldn’t buy this for all the above reasons and the price at $10 a bottle for only 235 ml is also a turn off. It’s also missing any kind of cheese like the obvious parmesan or Romano that I would have expected to be one of the ingredients.

I don’t buy much (air quotes) organic sauces but if they’re all like this one was, I don’t think I’d buy any again. Would definitely not recommend this to anyone as almost everyone I know are foodies like me.

As far as organic goes, a home made dressing would beat this hands down using all natural ingredients like egg yolk and lemon juice. Just an end note, I do not have a cold and there is nothing wrong with my tasting or smelling.

I actually smelled it from the bottle as well and it’s exactly the way I described it in its smell as well. It actually smelled like a bland ranch dressing. Come to think of it, that’s the best way to put how it tastes because there was no other flavors.

The only thing positive that I could say about this product, is that the texture is just right.

I really thought I was going to like this. I normally like Primal Kitchen mayo’s and I thought I was going to like the Vegan Ranch Dressing. It looked great from the outside when it was unopened. When I opened it up, the color wasn’t that appetizing to me, it was an off yellow color and not white like normal Ranch Dressings.

I pushed on through with the taste despite being put ogg by the color, it did NOT taste like Ranch. I don’t even know what it’s trying to be. It’s an okay dip if your not thinking its Ranch. While it is okay as a dip and not a dressing, I didn’t particialry enjoy the consistincy of it.

I kept shaking it to get back to it “original” state. It kept thicking up- if thats the correct term, and the top kept getting oil after long periods of stasis. I won’t be buying this again.

Delicious. And, don’t tell anyone, but healthier than most commercial salad dressings. Low in sugar and less salt than most commercial salad dressings. Made with healthy oil — expeller-pressed canola oil.

No hexane in the oil processing here — basic heart healthy canola oil. 🙂 Don’t let the words “red pepper” throw you. It is NOT chili pepper but the sweet red bell pepper high in antioxidants. We find Annie’s to be quality.

One of my favorite salad dressings. I love the nice flavorful addition to spice up a salad. 60 calories for those looking for a low Caloric option. No artifical flavors, synthetic colors or pressed oil.

While this is my favorite salad dressing, I don’t know why anyone would pay nine dollars for a cup of it. That said, it’s healthy and delicious, not spicy, and the first ingredient is an actual food: roasted red peppers, the sweet kind, not spicy.

Some have said they find it a little too sweet, but I don’t exactly bathe my lettuce in it, so it’s perfect for me. I especially enjoy it with my greens, some veggies, black beans, and an avocado. Yum!.

This is my favorite mustard ever. I love the texture from the mustard grains. It spreads nicely and adds a good bite to any sandwich. I often mix it with a little bit of honey and put it on chicken to bake.

I’ll buy multiple jars at once because I use it so quickly.

Great whole grain Dijon mustard to use on sandwiches or in glazes or dressings when your looking to keep the whole mustard grain in there. Personally, it’s not my favorite as i prefer the spicy kick of the classic creamy French Dijon.

But if you’re looking for the whole mustard grain this is a good one.

Literally the best mustard on the planet! This makes everything so much better. I always have this in my fridge. Trust me you won’t regret this purchase.

I actually wanted to review Trader Joe’s vegan mayonnaise. But it wasn’t listed. By far Trader Joe’s vegan mayonnaise is the best eggless mayonnaise that I’ve ever tasted. Being allergic to eggs it’s hard to find a good mayonnaise.

My daughter says that this Trader Joe’s organic mayonnaise is good so I guess I’ve given it some kind of reading Along with reading the vegan LOL.

Have you ever used mayonnaise to grill your grilled cheese sandwiches? If not, this is the perfect mayonnaise for you to try it out!! This gives you the PERFECT crisp, but you definitely need to set it on a towel to decrease the greasy.

This mayo is sweet and fluffy. Not too thick or oily like other brands. It is good in sandwiches, paninis and and melts. But I like its flavor well enough to use as a dipping sauce as well. It’s my favorite mayonnaise.

I feel like I am caucasian enough to admit it.

Might even one of the best dressings I’ve EVER had!! Goes well on salad with both Mexican and Indian food and I sometimes make a chopped salad of grape tomatoes quartered, onion and Persian or English cucumber chopped and also add fresh cilantro liberally and sometimes Shredded cabbage and use it like pico for both Indian and Mexican food! YUM.

I think I’ll try it with fresh mint and feta for a Mediterranean pico…. YUM again.

This is my family’s favorite dressing. We love cilantro, and the lime prevents the dressing from being cloying. I use it as a marinade, and I include grated Parmesan cheese and black olives and extra onions to compliment a Mediterranean course.

I order quite a few bottles at a time so as not to run out. Great dressing.

Love this salad dressing. Ordered 6 bottles and it came right a way.

Just as good as the name brands. I use 3 parts plain yogurt and one part mayonnaise for dipping. Keeps well in the refrigerator for a couple weeks after mixing. Add chopped spinach and water chestnuts, dried or minced onions, shredded cheese or canned clams with dill for variations.

I had to order this online because it was unavailable in stores. Walmart saved me from paying shipping, on a routine item that I use all the time! BTW, I do recommend this walmart brand ranch seasoning! It’s perfect for so many recipes!.

Ranch seasoning can be used for so many different things. This time it was a staple in my chicken Bacon Ranch that was topped Buffalo sauce. The perfection and flavor where a definite hit at the dinner table last night.

I could be happier with the way it turned out. The ranch flavor was incredible and so is the price.

The Newman brand consistently makes a top product. Of all the salad dressings in there product line this has been a staple for our family for years. The quality has never varied. The taste is just pungent enough with a little bit of zing to make a salad stand out.

Highly recommend. Another nice thing is that a portion of their profits go to charitable causes.

10/10 perfect marinate for a pork or chicken. Newman’s Own is the best organic food brands as is. It’s perfectly tangy, sweet and acidic. I highly recommend pairing the white meat with a deep leafy green salad, wine and sweet potatoes roasted.

Absolutely love the flavor,use it in pastas to flavor and for dipping chicken pieces I have made in the air fryer. Also great as salad dressing of course.

Kraft has discontinued and then brought back this dressing TWICE, because it evidently has a modest but passionate and apparently vocal following, of which I’m one. If more people tried this product, that following would grow exponentially (hey Kraft, how about some high-profile marketing?).

It has a subtle but delicious onion component and the perfect balance of acidity. I use this vinaigrette in so many ways and was bereft when it was discontinued. I do hope Kraft has learned once and for all that this is the ONLY red wine vinaigrette for those of us who have tried them all and found no replacement that comes close!.

This is my absolute favorite dressing! I’ve tried many red wine vinaigrette’s and none of them have the flavor that this one has. Yes many people think it’s too fattening and sweet, but I love the sweet and salty combination! And it’s no different in calories and fat than any other brand, and when used in moderation, and measured per tablespoon, it can be a healthy alternative to many of the higher fat dressings such as the creamy ones, like Ranch and Bleu Cheese.

I love it and I always have it in my fridge!.

I enjoy this product for salads with fruits since it brings out the flavor of the fruit. But by itself it isn’t a hitter for me. I enjoy other vinaigrettes far more than this one. As for the price, you cannot complain when it comes to Kraft the price is usually low for the regular bottle.

I love this mayo it has a different texture to your traditional mayo that many of us grew up with. It’s very silky and soft and has a great taste. It’s not a overwhelming taste if you don’t like the taste I would give this a shot it’s very subtle.

This is the only mayonnaise I buy. I love how it doesn’t feel too heavy. It’s great on sandwiches or tuna salads. I always make sure I have two of these at home.

I bought this awhile back and hoped for “western” and “tangy”. Nope. It is colored corn syrup with zero taste. It has no place in your refrigerator other than to take up space and having no use in the kitchen.

Unless you have some sort of sweet and not sour need, it is horrible. Wishbone should be ashamed of this product and pull it from production until somebody can fix the formula. Fixing the formula would involve adding some savory western and some western tang.

It is western in name only. At this point you can’t dip an onion ring in it without wondering why it tastes like Karo Corn Syrup. Don’t order it regardless of the attractive bottle. Run! And, trying to leave this site, I was asked if I received an incentive for this review and I did not.

My wife and I have been using Western dressing foe several years. After purchasing a new bottle at the local grocery store we found that the product was very runny and did not have the same flavor. Obviously either the ingredients or production methods have changes – not for the good.

I love Western dressing. It’s been my favorite since I was a kid. Last week I bought a new bottle because I’m running low. The consistency was like water, not thick texture that is one of the trademarks of this dressing, and I was too scared to taste it.

Irritated but figuring it was a one-off thing, I bought another bottle this week. SAME THING! Disturbed I read the most recent reviews on this site and see that I’m not the only person experiencing this.

Where was the quality control on this product? Wishbone, if you knowingly changed the recipe, please disclose such. If not, do the right thing and pull the product until your quality control is up to standard.

I will not be buying this for the foreseeable future; I’m utterly disgusted and disappointed.

We buy this DELIGHTFUL DRESSING quite often!!! If we can’t get it at our local wonderful market, we order a couple from SK ASAP!!! It’s THE BEST!! Our salads always have fruits, cheeses, meats, vegetables and MAPLE BALSAMIC.

I’m not a big fan of too sweet. I cut the sugar ingredient in recipes in half. My bad, I should have figured that ‘maple’ would mean sweet. Also, if you store in the frig, it’s doesn’t pour- even if you (try to) shake it – until it has sat at room temp for a while.

Bacon flavoring is subtle but the maple compliments it, does bot overwhelm it. I will not purchase again but I am glad I tried it. Could probably used a bbq sauce as well.

I do not like any store bought ranch dressings. The shelf stable ones are awful and even most of the refrigerated ones I’ve tried are so-so. I’ve tried making the ranch packets like they do in restaurants and it still never seems to taste right.

Then I found this dressing! This tastes like restaurant quality ranch dressing. From now on this is my house dressing I will be serving. Please keep carrying this product!.

This is hands-down the best ranch dressing I’ve ever had. I randomly started talking to someone at the grocery store and he was picking this Ranch up. He swore left and right that if we have this Ranch, we will never go back to any other brand.

We tried it with some baby carrots and were sold. It is extremely flavorful and super creamy. Obviously it’s not healthy but who cares, it’s delicious! It is now our go-to Ranch.

As a young girl, I used to go to this restaurant with my family down in Los Angeles, California. It was a happy place filled with smells of French fries, burgers, and diner food. I remember getting the side salad with this delicious dressing, and their dressing was always great.

I was so happy to see them selling it in glass jars and it is still good.
