20 Best Tractors For Small Farms (2023 Updated)

This is a Christmas gift for a grandson. It’s huge! It is plastic so I’m not sure how well it will hold up (that’s why the 3 stars). It’s made for the sandbox but don’t think it will be outside. It appears to be somewhat sturdy but until my 3 year old grandson plays with it can’t tell for sure.

In searching for John Deere toys, all the toys are mostly plastic, with some having metal parts. They are not made like they were for my kids – out of metal. I know my grandson is going to love it, just not sure how long it will last.

My 3 year old son wanted a “big green tractor” for Christmas. After much looking around I settled on this one. It is just what I was looking for, nicely sized, durable and great looking! Our son was super excited when he saw it under the tree and has been playing with it every day.

He loves to use the bucket to pick up his toys and dump them back into the toy box when it is time to clean up. I would have given it five stars if the bucket would stay in the up position. You have to hold the handle to keep the bucket off the floor.

That being said, it doesn’t seem to bother the kids.

My grandson loves trucks!!!! He has dump trucks, fire trucks, bulldozers and Hess trucks!!! He always takes his dump truck to the beach but because he wants to take it, he has to carry it!!! Can’t wait for him to see this John Deere loader!! He’ll love it and want to take it to the beach.

I’ll have to help him carry one of the trucks now since you can’t have a loader and not a dump truck to load!!!.

It must be in BIG demand. The first one was stolen off the porch by a “porch pirate”. Though it was not Blain’s fault, Mgr replaced it. The second was sent out for delivery from the P. O. in Park Ridge, IL on 12/13 but recipient hasn’t recd it.

Assume stollen again by a Post Officer worker. What an awful world we live in today!.

The tractor looked awesome as My grand nephew opened it for His Christmas present from me. He opened it at the same time as my other grand nephew opened his Big Farm All tractor with lights and sounds working.

The John Deere tractor didn’t come on when we got it but I thought it just needed batteries. So when he opened and we put batteries in it, it still didn’t come on. He’s ok with it not working I guess.

I wanted to send it back but didn’t have heart to take it Back from him while his cousin is playing with his. Other than that the tractors are perfect for a three year old. They can pick them up easily and not worry about dropping them and getting hurt as they could with the metal tractors.

The mail carrier sent the tractors to our neighbors house instead of ours but when I called Blaine’s to check in it the customer service rep was very helpful and kind and understood the urgency of finding those tractors.

Luckily we found them down the road but I felt like they were eager to help when I called.

Purchased as a child’s Christmas gift, so it’s still in the box. We haven’t inserted the batteries yet, so I’m curious on the sounds and lights. It looks to be of good quality, and is a fairly large sized toy for the price.

Its actually a very nice toy. Unfortunately I had to return it, as my wife said it wasnt appropriate for a 1 year old. It really is a nice quality toy tractor.

I bought it as a gift for a great nephew and he loved it. The only issue I had was the seat should have been yellow. It’s a well built toy.

I have a miniature farm with animals and a barn. ..this tractor fits in great!

1. The hook that hitches the tractor to the wagon does not remain engaged. 2. The tractor steering wheel that controls the front wheels for turning is inside the cab and is difficult for little fingers to reach.

Otherwise, the tractor and trailer are of good construction and good size and my 5-year old great grandson loves it.

but there’s no metal in it. My kids used to have a similar one, but it was all metal, except for the rubber tires. That’s what I thought I was getting, so it’s a little disappointing. Also, the wagon doesn’t want to stay hitched to the tractor.

There are no directions in the box to tell how to attach it, so perhaps I am doing something incorrectly. Does anyone know?.

This is made from plastic. Not as durable as I would like. The hitch piece connecting the tractor to the trailer broke on the first day. Definitely not worth the money.

My, almost three year old, love this Kidoozie Funtime Tractor! I was Amazed at all the different features this fun time tractor came with. This is a very well-thought-out toy. This fun time tractor comes no assembly required and is easy to dismantle from the Box.

The tractor come ‘s with 5 different farm animals. The animals are removable but have a specifically designed spot for each of them. When placed or pushed down on the tractor, that specific animal will make a noise representing the animal.

The tractor part of this toy has two buttons. The one on the steering wheel activates the farmer, sitting in the tractor, to talk and sing old Macdonald. My son and mine’s favourite part, of this fun time tractor, is when you hit the smokestack on the tractor, it starts to move! Along with moving it makes tractor noises, And will make a Beeping (like the sound of something backing up) noise when it’s about to stop.

The tractor actually goes a pretty good distance, And does well on carpet. My son enjoys watching the wheels turn as it drives past him. I could see this being a toy that my son enjoys for a long time.

I received Funtime Tractor to test. The tractor is really cool! There are 5 animals on the trailer and the farmer is in the tractor. If you push down on the animals they make animal noise. If you push down on the farmer, it sings Old MacDonald.

If you push the orange wheel button that is in front of the farmer, it honks. If you push the funnel that is on top of the hood of the tractor, it drives forward a good distance. This company was very smart to put black plastic on the two big blue wheel of the tractor for traction, so that it really drives.

My little 2 years old daughter loves this. She really enjoys the animals noise and that you can take the animals and farmer out to play with. She even put some extra toys in the trailer and had the farmer drive it around.

Overall, this is a great toy. My two kids who are 2 and 5 years old both love playing it. I also think this is a great gift to give to anyone 12 months and older.

I got this for my 2 year old and he totally loves it. The animals come off and when placed on the tractor, they make the appropriate sounds. My son learns to put them on and off. The tractor takes off when the driver is activated, and my son follows it around the house.

The toy has helped with his motor skills, hand eye coordination and learning animals and the sounds they make. The quality is very up to par with the toys out today and I love the entire set. My son is super excited.

The toy is perfect for that age range and it has held up great against a rough 2 year old!.

Unit came mostly assembled. Assembly was pretty easy. I used straps to lift the deck with my tractor to install the wheels. Be sure to get 90 wt gear lube (2 qts) for the gear box. Once assembled it was easy to attach and cuts realy nice.

My yard is some what Rolling and it cut w/o scalping. I have it set on lowest setting and have been experimenting with out hooking up the top hitch (letting the deck float on its own). It works very well.

Nice cut. I earlier gave a low rating based on a delivery issue (my mower was lost for about a week by the shipping company). The found it and delivered.

Assembly was easy except for two misaligned holes. I pull this mower behind my 46 hp tractor. I am away from the dust, dirt, debris with this rear discharge mower. I have to get a bath immediately after mowing with my zero turn mower because of the dirt and debris.

This mower is great from that standpoint and it cuts good. I live on my farm and have dirt roads with Bahia grass on the sides. My farthest road is one mile from my house so using the finish mower behind my tractor is much easier than my zero turn mower and cleaner.

Noisy, does not cut very well. I have the 5′ finishing deck. Seems very well built but poor design. Guess I was spoiled with my Rossi, even when falling apart after 15 years it still cut much better.

Had a nice even cut which this deck does not. More like a bush hog in that department. Cutting around 2. 5 acres of Bahia every week or two depending on rain.

Seems to be well made, it is a good size, love that it is orange in color. Will give to my grandson later this summer for his b’day. I know that he will enjoy playing with it. It arrived in a timely manner without damage.

I love these toys! I got my niece’s three year old boy the Dumper truck. He just wouldn’t put it down. It was the right size for him and it leaves plenty of room for him to use his imagination. I ordered him the tractor and trailer for Christmas.

He loves toys with trailers because they add a lot of possibilities. Best of all, Green Toys are made in America! I know it’s hard to believe in a world where nearly everything is made in China, but they prove you can make a quality product in the USA.

I can’t imagine any boy that wouldn’t love this tractor and farm trailer set.

I have the orange tractor. It is amazing quality and will last for years! My daycare kids love to fill it the trailer with other toys and play several different games. The only thing I wish was different is that the driving seat was a little bigger and it came with someone to drive the tractor.

I would buy it again though.

I ordered a z515e 54inch on July 6th 2021. I received the lawn mower on August 12th 2021. The lawn mower I received was indeed a z515e but it was not a 54inch, it’s a 48inch. The 6 day waiting period turned into 4 weeks and didn’t come as advertised.

I would like a 54inch deck or reimbursement of the already paid for 54inch. Will be getting ahold of the dealer in the morning, so far they have been very professional. UPDATE: I called my dealer and we discussed reimbursement, I will be receiving around $220.

I’m glad it got figured out, I just would like John Deere to more careful with the orders they receive. My rating will stay at a 3 due to the 4 week wait and wrong product arrival. Mower is great. Sure there may be some rust in a couple spots, but I’m ok with that.

One year old. I find it very hard to use. Foot pedal stiff, backing up is a nightmare, it’s very noisy and rough riding. Compared to a Sears lawn tractor this is a huge fail. Way too much money for the product.

The product description says “plastic”. This was my primary requirement wgen searching for the lawnmower. When i received the toy it is a very heavy diecast car. Only the seat was plastic. The lawnmower is a very nice toy and any other time i would give it 5 stars but the description is not accurate and i didn’t get what the description has.

Fantastic Tractor providing great fun with lots of opportunities for imaginary play, role play and help with chores!!

A gift for my grandson, overall seems sturdy but a couple of parts my not last, time will tell.

The SKYRC IMAX is the real version not a knockoff and the difference is night & day. This LIPO charger has better electronics and has a built in cooling fan to protect them. Also, the instructions are very detailed about everything you can imagine.

It also balances cells better and best of all it does not overcharge LIPOs like most chargers do, which will damage them beyond repair. Super charger for the price.

This kit came with everything needed to fit my Traxxas Rustler, and installation was simple and straight forward. The bearings that came in the kit are rubber sealed and smooth, they seem well made so far.

All the steel parts in this kit are thick and seem as though they will have very good longevity. I noticed two things when installing this kit that could be slightly concerning. The first is a slight fitment issue with the hub’s.

The lower pin is rather tight and could cause some binding in the suspension travel. The second is with the retainer ring that helps hold the upper pin in. It has a small split in it that the pin can slip out of should the grub screw come loose.

Ive been using the b6 mini for a couple of years to power all kinds of projects. Its very versatile and even has enough power to bring a dead car battery to life. Discharging takes a long time but charging is fairly quick unless its a monster of a battery- its wattage rating and the rating of your power supply will determine how much of those 50-60 advertised watts will be flowing.

I like it enough to have bought a second one for simultaneous use.

The truck itself is bigger than I expected. I think the John Deere trucks are well made. Bought for grandsons 3rd birthday Grandson is happy with it even though it’s a bit big for him. but it will last him a few years.

Would have given five stars had it not been for the instructions. They are not clear enough, I had to keep referring to the picture on the box. Plus there was a nut missing that connected the one side of the front loader.

And when delivered the box was a bit battered with one of the metal rods sticking out of it. With the exception of the missing nut all other parts were there and we found a nut to fit in our tool box.

So grandson was not disappointed.

I bought this for my grandson’s 2nd birthday and he was very impressed. My husband had no problem putting it together. I thought it would have been nice to include a working horn with it or some lights etc.

As it is quite heavy it will be a while before he can actually pedal it to move it, however he will grow into it and enjoys playing on it in the garden. Although fairly expensive , it seems built to last especially for toys left out in the garden.

I brought this for my son’s 3rd birthday. He is absolutely obsessed with tractors, he has constantly played with it. I was unsure about spending the money on it (cheapest website I found it on) but I’ve got to say it was worth every penny.

My little boys face when he unwrapped it but also the quality of the tractor is fantastic. My little boy seems to break things easy but there isn’t anything on the tractor that he could break, as the quality is brilliant.

You do need two people on certain bits when building the tractor. Otherwise it was straightforward to set up.

I bought the Lego Duplo Town Barn…as a gift for my granddaughter. It reminded me of a Lego Duplo set that I had bought her father (my son) 35 years ago. Since we had hours and hours of agreeable playtime with the similar older farm set, I figured that my granddaughter and her dad would most likely enjoy their playtime together as we had.

It’s a great gift for developing creativity, one’s imagination and finer motor skills.

My 3 year old loves animals and asked for a farm set. He didn’t want to play with the dog at first because “its mouth does not look happy”. But overall he loves this set and plays with it everyday. The tractor works with our Duplo train trailers.

I think it’s a great set but for the price, I wish it included more animals like a duck.

Like most Duplo, it isn’t about the “build,” but the playability. My kiddos so appreciate the fact that there are two sheep. And there is something to be said about a girl going to work with her dad.

It’s a good message to pass along- and really anything that drives home the importance of taking care of the land and animals gets full stars in my book.

Bought for my son, who loves New Holland tractors, as a Christmas gift. Love that it makes sounds and the engine good opens up. He will love it.

just a large plastic toy. not really worth that price. i cannot see it holding up for very long

I have four acres of lawn to cut. This is a great mower. I studied the comparative price difference and model features between the TS354XD and “those other guys”, and the green mower just didn’t meet the mark of this 354.

However, a few things do sorta bug me. Every time I raise & lower the hood, it rubs up against engine cables. The so-called fuel level window is a joke. It’s absolutely worthless, almost to the point of infuriation.

I have zero idea about fuel burn with this mower, only knowing when it is full. My left left is constantly banging against the deck level lever, almost to the point of bruising. This causes physical pain and is a major frustration.

When dismounting the mower, 9/10 times my short pants get caught on the deck level teeth. Being overweight in my 60’s and getting hung-up and off balance just trying to get off the mower, I’m always concerned about severely hurting myself during this maneuver.

This could be easily remedied by moving the deck lever to the right side of the tractor. This could possibly provide a better fuel level window, as is on other name brand garden tractors. I’ve had two other smaller riding mowers on my property and neither of them rode as hard as this one does.

Perhaps it’s the incredible weight of this machine. coupled with the steel box frame, but even after I cut my relatively flat front two acres, I feel like I’ve gone through a demolition derby. They asked what I didn’t like about it, so I’m being truthful as I can.

However, I would buy this mower again if I had to. I love the thick steel deck. This is hugely important to the quality of this machine. The engine is great, but I’m 110% in love with the deck. Aside from my gripes above, I love this mower.

I cannot say it enough, but the manufacture needs to address these complaints because I’ve read them many times from other users, meaning they are an issue. In closing, this is a fantastic mower. Head & Shoukders above all others.

I bought this Garden Tractor Brand New, rom Lanier Outdoor , in Georgia. Once I got it home, the next morning both the right front tire and back tire were flat. I also went to register it, the S/N is suppose to be under the seat, yet the only numbers under there were written in black magic marker.

Huskavarna said that was not a recognized manufacturer S/N so I have no warranty on it. The headlights are useless for cutting at night, they are just regular bulbs and not any type of high beam so you can see what you are cutting.

The gas tank level is useless, as you can barely see the level if at all in the plastic tank. The mower stabilizer fell off the second time cutting the grass and was a problem getting back on. You have to buy a special kit just to drain the oil, the seat lock does not stay tight so you have to stop and constantly adjust it.

I paid $3000. 00 dollars for this supposedly garden tractor, with the heavy duty transmission, only to find out that the transmission was not what they claimed it to be. I have had one problem after the other with this mower, and I wish I had never bought it.

The only reason I bought it , was I looked at the reviews on mowers, and this was suppose to be the top of the line. If that is so, I can not imagine what the bottom of the line could possibly be. I only have 40 hours on it, but I could never get 1/2 of the money for it , that I paid for it.

Find something better than this mower, do not walk away from it, RUN.

This was such a smart decision for our company. We have manufactured home community and we have some vacants lots that we take care of and this tractor/mower is very powerful and easy to use. We have a cyclone bagger system that we haul behind it and its has no probelm hauling it and picking up all the leaves and grass clippings.

Using this machine with the bagger system is really great because this mower already mulches before it goes to the machine which makes packing the trailer with debri very full and good. I ready all the reviews and most people said the hardest thing was getting it out of the crate well they must have changed what they did before because it was very easy and just rolled off the crate with no problems.

The only negative thing we had to do was drill some holes for our bagger system to fit on the out take area where the mower throws the cliupping. They did not leave alot of root for attachements however with a little thinking and drilled a couple of holes we made it work with our current system.

This is by far the best machines we have had and jobs that use to take hours now just takes minutes. You wont be disappointed with this mower / tractor.

It’s a miracle this thing is still going, it’s been thrown around, ridden (my toddler gets in the trailer – it’s not strong enough to move him along but he gives it a good go!) So needless to say it’s very strong and resilient.

He loves pressing all of the buttons and watching it chug along. The only downsides are how quickly it goes through batteries and that there is no off button, which means I often set it off when tidying up or it gets pressed if we take it in the car.

Highly recommend!.
