20 Best Tractor For 10 Acres (2023 Updated)

Fabulous sturdy tractor, nice colours. The drill tool is perfect size for little fingers and easy to use. Do not overly hand tighten nuts, this is not a real power tool, but works well enough. A good value and quality gift for my nearly 2 year old Grandson, he loves it.

Bought this for Christmas for my 2 year old as he loves investigating toy cars and how they fit together. I didn’t think he would be able to work it but he got the hang of it quickly. It is just the right size for little hands and he was so excited to be able to use the tool – it has a very realistic sound.

He plays with it over and over, it’s not a one hit wonder like many of his other presents. Well worth the money and am now looking for the more advanced versions.

Don’t get wrong it’s a nice set and seems well constructed. Based on the photos I was expecting the set to be larger. The photos seem to go out of the way to hide the size. Plain white backgrounds and closeups with nothing else in the shot for scale.

The toys are slightly bigger than Hot Wheels. I wasn’t expecting “Tonka” size trucks but was not expecting it to be this small. I have to put the fencing and horses away for now as they are a bit to small for my three year old grandson.

The package says 3-up but it may be a better for 4-up. My grandson however loves everything else in the set and hasn’t stopped playing with it since Santa Claus forgot to hide it and it was discovered and susquently torn open.

Good thing I had time to help Santa find another gift.

My 4yo was very excited as we opened the package the toy came in. The pieces are detailed with 3 different sized tractors. 2 horses, a truck and atv, 4 pieces of plastic fencing for the horses. There is also a trailer and what I believe to be something that turns up the ground or can be piled with hay bales.

I did not look up the equipment to determine for sure. I do wish the fencing were more durable as my 4 yo can be rough on toys. He likes to move things and bash into them. Overall.

This is a very nice set of nice quality plastic John Deere vehicles. As mentioned in other reviews, the horses are tiny, and that was not a problem for the 5 year old I gifted this to, but may be an issue for younger children.

Very pleased with this set and I highly recommend it for little John Deere fans!.

This toy was just the right level of difficulty for a 6 year old. It gave a good amount of time to construct with no real support needed and now lives in pride of place on a shelf after being played with and driven around for quite a while.

The pieces are robust enough to withstand being thrown around or manhandled by younger kids. This simpler junior meccano allows a good sense of achievement once built without having to have an ongoing build taking too long.

I’m a mum of boys, little boys who keep trying to help daddy out and taking his tools to help. So this was a brilliant gift for them, comes with little spanners and screwdriver. They loved this, okay at they’re 5 and 3 so didn’t sit the whole time whilst I finished doing it but they loved it.

And still play with it now. My 5 year old has since taken it apart and made his attempt at a robot.

This is a great little toy for budding builders. The pieces are a perfect size for my five year old boy to get hold of and be able to put together. Built up the tractor makes a lovely toy to use and holds up well against childs play.

I would definitely buy more if this range and would recommend.

Brief personal background: I am a retired electrical engineer with 4 years in electrical generation power industry and 42 years in semiconductor design/manufacturing. I have been mowing yards for over 50years and in my youth worked on farms running mostly tractors with different attachments.

I mainly have experience with gas power push mowers and on the farm with large 20 ft bush hogs. This is my first for both electric and Zero Turn Mower (ZTM). Brief history of ownership: I have used this mower 2 times mowing a little over an acre that is mainly Bermuda grass but does have some crab and blue grass.

First time yard was little wet and about 4. 5 inches high, second was dryer and the grass was about 3. 5 inches. I use the 2. 67” blade height setting. My yard has about 25 obstacles to mow around and is mostly level (only a small ditch).

I mowed during the day, so lights were not needed. Brief Summary of mower: I bought this from Lowes and had it delivered. Lowes had already assembled it before delivery but from instruction seem to be very straight forward.

This ZTM has very good ergonomics (I am 5’7”, 190lbs), very easy to operate (setting are mostly intuitive), with very good displays showing different setting, status of battery level, and alarms if they occur, very quiet compared to gas mowers, cut quality at the 2 highest blade speed setting was very good and even, steering controls good (since first time with ZTM it hard for me to compare this to gas version or other electric but I do think the control of speed and turning could be a little more linear), battery life good (It took about 50min to mow and had 20% left on battery using 2nd highest setting on blade speed and 2nd setting on drive speed, this is from a 100% charge).

The charger was very easy to mount and will run on a 15amp service. From ~ 20% battery level to 100% took 1. 75 hrs. Cleaning after use was very easy with hose quick disconnect and just blowing off the upper deck.

The main reason I bought this mower was I had good experience with their trimmer and edger. Also, I like the battery pack design that displays battery level and appears to provide good cooling of the battery and charger.

I like the ability to remove and replace batteries if needed. The S/W application was easy to down load and run, check the firmware for any updates (mine did not need any), and status of the mower. EGO web site for registering was easy to use (It would be nice if EGO had a way for the mower to read serial number of the mower, batteries, and charger, so when you log in with the app this would automatically load for registration) Pros: Ergonomic, chair comfort, controls/displays, battery design, cutting quality and power, manual is very clear and coverage of operation/safety, S/W app and firmware update capabilities, overall design.

Cons: Price, speed and turn controls (needs to be little more linear) Recommendations: 1) Include the full six 10amps/hr batteries and mulching attachment 2) Blade height setting needs a better way to display the setting, I would recommend showing this on the main control display it could easily be done.

3) Have mower read serial number for easy warranty setup. 4) On the discharge chute add a simple way to lower and raise, to improve storage and maneuverability.

I used to do professional lawn care using commercial grade Scag zero turn mowers. I feel very qualified to provide a review of any zero turn. Although I am no longer mowing professionally, I wanted to keep a zero turn mower for my own yard.

A couple of things are very important to me when it comes to mowing: efficiency, which means mowing fast while also doing a good and thorough job without damaging the lawn with spinning tires or running into obstacles, clean lines, and the blades not skipping over areas leaving uncut grass.

I also wanted to get an electric mower to reduce maintenance requirements. I no longer wanted to mess with belts, oil, spark plugs, or lead batteries. I tested an electric Cub Cadet zero turn but got the Ego because the steering on the Ego is smoother and free of jerks.

Coming from commercial grade, the 42″ Ego satisfies my needs and probably would for almost any homeowner. I like how the entire deck can be easily removed which makes accessing the blades for removal/sharpening easy.

The seat is very comfortable and the front lights are very bright. The only negatives are that the Ego is lighter weight than a commercial grade heavy duty mower with relatively small drive wheels so it can struggle to travel lengthwise along slopes without slipping down the slope (most of my 1 acre is on a slope).

I can take my time and mow all of my property which totals about 3/4 acre worth of grass and have 25% battery remaining. For tall grass it skipped in a few places which requires a second pass. Since I am spoiled by the weight and thorough cutting of commercial mowers, I know what mowers are capable of.

This mower is not a commercial mower and keeping that in mind with the pricetag on this Ego, I can easily give it a 5 star review. A commercial grade mower can easily cost 5000 to 15000 more than the Ego, so in my opinion you get a really good value in the peace ofbmind that this mower will work eveytime you go out to the garage or shed and it will do a satisfactory job of cutting your grass.

Add to that the compatibility of batteries with other Ego products and this makes it a good mower.

Having owned 34 inch Arians zero turn gas mower with a 14 hp Briggs & Stratton engine (engine died after 5 years) ,and I have also owned a Ryobi 480me 38” electric riding mower both for 5 years ( battery was losing capacity) , I am neither new zero turn mowers or electric mowers.

Compared to the gas it’s refreshing to have quiet, reduced maintenance and not having to breathing the fumes especially when parking in the shed. I am able to cut my grass sideways in the ditch whereas my gas version I could only do up and down as it would just turn to the bottom.

It’s a crutch of all zero turn mowers but the Ego handles it much better. Compared to the prior will be electric with lead acid batteries, it has both way more power and better control of speed, blade speed and different control mode.

The lead acid batteries just did my acreage when they were new, the Ego I did my acreage and the ditch and I had 50% of the battery left. Being a zero turn it also does the job a lot faster as I have lots of obstacles and irregular shape of my lawn.

The Ego powertrain is quieter than the Ryobi electric. I haven’t cut any deep grass with it yet as I am currently in a drought and it’s the fall, so the real test will come in the spring. The only thing I don’t like about it is the deck makes a lot of noise when it’s going fast over bumps, a lot more than the other two mowers.

I think the frame is good because a lot of times and uneven surfaces when we will be in the air which suggests a strong frame but maybe you need some bushings just to get rid of the noise from the vibration in the deck, Ryobi had way less.

I also wish it came with 12 amp hour batteries. This is my first mower where you can attach a hose to clean the deck which to me is important. I also wish the batteries were under the seat to reduce overall length of the mower for easier storage but that’s just nitpicking.

It is a Christmas gift for my grandson so it hasn’t been used yet

My grandchildren love it . Anything with wheels is good.

My nephew loves this tractor. His dad was given the original Brio when he was about 3 or 4 and it’s still going strong so it’s good we can still add to it.

We live on a farm road…grandson loves this…very realistic. Seems to be holding up well as it gets launched about the house.

Very pleased with this children’s toy, It is so much like the real thing and I am sure our grandson will love it and learn from it, he is only 4

I bought this to replace my classic optima bumpers. Shape, color, and material is very similar however the mounting point is a bit different to the classic ones. It is still possible to install by using the available 4 screw holes under the chassis, its just missing the one big bolt upfront.

A good quality kyosho product nonetheless.

Contrary to what SOME people believe, when building a good Trail Rig, with decent Crawling ability. SOFTER Springs are the way to go!! You NEED at least 1/4″ of “Droop”. It pains me to see so many “Bashers” put down an ENTIRE Company, because THEY decided to get a good Trail Rig, and RUIN its capabilities by setting up the Suspension so it will be completely TOPPED OUT, not sinking down even a Hair, when they set it on the ground.

Google “Droop in RC”, and set your Rig up RIGHT, and you will really enjoy its Performance!.

I used this axle as a replacement, to fit on a john Deere 3650, that I bought in pieces, looks great.

I wanted another Country Clipper like the one I bought in 2003 and gave to my Son 2 years ago. I could not justify its $9500 price tag! If Cub Cadet had parts to still build the ZTS model (steering wheel) I’d have bought one of those from the hardware store dealer that used to carry CC and who has provided good service through the years.

Bought this ZT1-50 for a reasonable price and it looks to be well built. My Son’s CC has a 19HP Kawasaki that is still going strong in its 19th season, so the 23HP Kawasaki influenced my decision for the ZT1.

Mowed for the first time today and have no issues with the quality of the cut or its lap bar steering. I AM going to have to trim all those low hanging branches I used to just push aside as I mowed. No free hand with lap bar steering – LOL.

BTW for $10 I’ve bought an inductive hour meter like the one I mounted in about ten minutes on my 2022 60HP Honda Marine outboard. And for $18 Cub Cadet is sending the deck wash fitting that I will also install.

People who care to provide good maintenance for their equipment should understand why Cub Cadet no longer installs parts that the majority of buyers simply ignore. For a reasonable price I also bought a replacement oil filter and air filter from them to put on my shelf.

Cub Cadet should, however, be ashamed of the quality of the Owner’s Manual and Replacement Parts List they provide for this machine! Printed on newsprint quality paper with several smudged sections. And they are filled with information with statements that it may, or may not, apply to the ZT1.

Come on people! You have reference to lubricating all grease points every 10 hours without listing or illustrating them (do they even exist)? They show a “break-in oil change” after 5 hours, while the Kawasaki Owner’s Manual makes no mention of any need.

They list the multi-tool functions to include using it as a “lockout for the deck lift” with absolutely no further reference to uses beyond 1/2 inch socket for lap bar adjustment or removal of deck floor.

And you list replacement parts without reference to which model they fit. Hopeful that this ZT1 last as long as the lawn tractor my father bought back in 2012.

My lawn has quite steep slopes +/- 20% in places and several tricky spots to get around and in and out of. I had used a Snapper ride on for the first two years, it was fine the 1st year but started losing drive and traction in the 2nd year culminating in a rather painful turnover.

So having read up a lot about mowing on hills I decided to purchase a stand on mower with a walk-behind feature. This would have worked fine I am sure but the drive/steering functions are not really meant for your resident weekend warrior.

Fine if you are a commercial guy using it every day it becomes second nature. For me it was like a trial and (mostly) error every time I took the stand on out. Honestly, it scared the you know what out of me every time, it was a heavy machine, 900 lbs or so.

Crazy. Then I happened to read about this Cub Cadet zero turn with a steering wheel. It was the first literature that featured mowing safely up to 20% slopes. So I sold the stand on and purchased the Cub Cadet.

Having used it now more than 10 times, I am totally impressed with this machine. It is powerful, fast and yes it will very safely mow 20% slopes. It is very easy to use and now I actually look forward to mowing my lawn.

Especially because it takes probably half the time as before. Very good clean cut too. Bonus is the CC is so maneuverable that I can now use it to mow a fairly large area that I could not before, which I used a smaller walk behind.

Saves me a lot of sweat and twisted ankles in the hot summertime. Summary: totally 100% satisfied with this mower. It safely, comfortably and efficiently mows hills as advertised. Just a great all round mower.

Purchased last year’s model and it is a mess. Had to buy new tires with grip as the turf tires won’t traverse even slight embankments. You must to cross a small sloped area go straight across, if you go across at a angle there is no play in the chassie and the rear wheels come of the ground.

The way the transmission works it won’t be long before that will have to be replaced. If you have a hilly area in your yard the mower feels very unstable. Safety shoot cover is to big making a 50 inch wide deck and a 15 inch or so plastic shoot safety cover way to wide to maneuver in a yard.

If you have a flat yard with no hills or indentions would be ok, but be prepared for a struggle with this mower. Fab deck adds too much weight to the center of the mower which leaves the back turf wheels really with not the weight they need to move properly.

Maybe the newer models have been improved!.

This is my third Cub Cadet mower. IMO the Kohler engine MTD uses makes all the difference in the world. They outlast and out preform Briggs & Stratton engines used in other mowers including John Deere, (yes they use B&S, you can find the logo stamped on the engine) Some suggestions for maintenance – check the transmission and engine oil levels before you fire it up.

In my experience the factory uses the absolute bare minimum fluid when they ship, especially the trans. YouTube videos can show you how to check the trans level. It’s a bit of a pain to access, but any owner with a little know-how can check it and add fluid.

Use a 15-50 synthetic oil like Mobile One. In this price range and mower style Cub is as good or better than any other brand with the Kohler engine.

I’ll keep it short and sweet: the paint and the deck have held up amazingly, the transmissions and engine are well broken in now and performing excellently, the belts look great (and my yard is notoriously hard on belts).

Definitely happy I spent the extra $$$ for a model with the Kawasaki engine, and definitely happy I went with the 60″ deck. Overall, this was absolutely a fantastic purchase and now that I’ve run it for a year, I would recommend the ZT3 60″ to anyone and everyone!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought the ZT3 60 2 months ago and have mowed about 8 times. I mow about 3 acres which has a few trees, a 1/2 acre Pond and landscapes to mow around. The ZT 3 60” cut handles it very fast and cuts really well.

The comfort and control are excellent. I bought the striped kit and it does a good job with the mower deck. The price, value and service I have received from my dealer is one the best experiences I have received.

I would highly recommend this product.

The cut time is about 40-45 minutes. I recommend and would buy again!.

For the money an HP I felt the ztx4-60 was a good deal. I have 31 acres an about 6 of is finish mowing an I use the “little 60” for. Mower is plenty powerful even if I put off mowing a couple days an IT gets deep.

I’ve always used a “big” tractor pull behind finish mower before this zero turn like a 9 foot finish mower, so this was completely different. I like the mowers efficiency, speed, quality of the cut, an easy of use.

The mower cleans up nice an is easy to service. I like the roll bar an seat belt, I feel safe using, the cup holders an led lights are a nice accent. My one an only complaint so far is ride quality , like I said I have a lot of uneven land an seems bumpy often.

Overall I see for the money an quality I’d recommend.

I’ve owned a cub cadet rzt 54 for 5 years and its been a great mower for around 2 acres. But I recently moved and my yard now is around 5 acres and it was a little hard on the rzt 54. So i bought this ztx4 60 and it has knocked around 30 minutes off the mow time.

The seat and ride are way better. You can mow and be comfortable with this mower. Overall heavy built. My only complaint with this ztx4 60 is I feel like it is slightly under powered. But im happy with it and it does what its built to do.

The Cub Cadet’s replacement blazes are exceptional quality. I have to purchase several sets of this wonderful product. I spent over $400 this past year on this exceptional quality product. I am glad that it holds up on flat level open terrain, or I would be compelled to purchase some sets of this wonderful product.
