20 Best Tote Bags For Travel (2023 Updated)

This purse was not designed well. Especially the back open pocket. It is so narrow that it can’t fit anything, like a phone! I have a MINI iPhone and the back slip pocket is too small for that. In comparison, the even smaller normal jet set bag (which I own in 2 different colors), had an open back pocket that is twice the size and CAN fit a phone.

There’s not no point to that back slip pocket. It’s also restricted by the straps that are glued to it so you really have to fan-dangle anything in or out of the slip pocket. If someone had to fiddle with a slip pocket, it wasn’t designed well.

Also, this is the 2nd time that a Michael Kors purse was shipped to me in a poly mailer. I just don’t understand why a luxury purse company wouldn’t ship its purses in boxes for better protection! This purse arrived dented, like the one before.

I would like to switch to a new company because this is just irritating. Also, the zipper should cover the entire contents of the purse if it is to be a true “travel bag”, but his purse has openings around the zipper for the contents to spill out, nullifying the zipper! Overall it’s just not designed for practical, easy use.

This is their Med Size Tote, I believe. The popular mini and extra small MK Totes are WAY too tiny to be of any use, imho. Yet, I wanted a size smaller than their larger totes, for everyday carry. I got the vanilla/acorn color for Daytime, Spring and Summer.

Beautiful purse, high-quality straps and hardware. Been using it everyday since I bought it a few weeks ago and it really holds up! Love the light colors and the clean, sophisticated sillhouette of this bag.

This bag is very nice, perfect size for a weekend away. Sturdy & well made. I just wish I brought the bag directly from MK. Dillards did not ship this bag well at all. Literally just tossed it in the dust bag & threw it in an oversized box with a couple pieces of bubble wrap (bag wasn’t actually wrapped in bubble wrap, a few pieces were just laying at the bottom of the box).

The bag & box were crushed because there wasn’t enough filler inside to give it any support during shipping. None of the hardware on the bag was wrapped/protected. Paid extra for gift wrapping–bag didn’t arrive gift wrapped.

I’ll NEVER order luxury products from Dillards again, sadly they don’t take pride in the pieces leaving their warehouse.

With all the options on the Vera Bradley website, it can be a bit daunting to find just the item one is looking for. But after some time looking at different items. I decided to buy this one, and it is exactly what I wanted.

For me this bag is perfect — I love the zip top option (great for air travel, with the bag possibly tipping over), the variety of pockets (internal and external, zipped and unzipped), the length of the straps, the size (big enough to hold a journal, books, etc.

, yet still quite small). My only fear is that the straps will wear through quickly. This is why I always need a new Vera Bradley bag — it’s when the cloth straps simply wear out and develop holes. These straps seem ever-so-slightly less robust than in previous versions.

Hoping they are strong enough to last a goodly amount of time. Overall, however, this bag is a winner!.

I realized on my trip to Hawaii that my Baggallini tote from 10 years before was not big enough to carry all my pouches and iPad/laptop. It came just in time for an unexpected over the weekend trip to San Francisco.

Instead of putting my iPad in the front pocket of my carry on after security, I was able to put it back in the padded laptop compartment. I prefer carrying the tote on my shoulder as I navigate the aisle on the plane, but do use the trolley sleeve to place the tote on top of my suitcase as I walk through the airport.

I like that I can readily find the house keys attached on the leash rather than having to dig through the large confines of the tote bag. At the bottom of the tote bag, I packed a cube with a long-sleeve shirt and a casual shirt, and my pajamas. On top, I was able to put several pouches: a large planner pouch, the Vera Bradley Floating Garden cord organizer, the Vera Bradley Floating Garden cross body convertible to waist pack, and the Vera Bradley Floating Garden pencil case which can be used for unworn and worn face masks.

Bags do tend to get dirt on them with use and it is great that I can throw the tote into the cold wash with the face masks. I also like that there is a floral pattern in white such that the tote is not solid black.

I saved up to buy my very first MK crossbody for everyday use. I was very happy with it until one day the strap snapped off the leather loop. I called email MK customer see service because with all bags comes a 1 yr warranty.

I was 11 months with the bag. Customer service kept giving me the round arounds until the 12th month. After trying many many times to send my bag to get fixed through the warranty they told me oh I see the warranty is now expired.

I told the lady CS kept giving me the round around and that I need my bag fixed. Never got it fixed! Never again will I give MK my hard earned money. Their CS SUCKS, they do not uphold their warranties.

Nothing But bad from this brand. I still have the crossbody but I now use it for my important documents. Waste of money for a poorly made $200 bag.

The color is great and I love the canvas material. It’s so easy to wipe down and keep clean. The front zipper pocket holds my phone perfectly, so no more rummaging through my purse to find it. It has 5 different size pockets inside to help organize all the things you need and use most often.

This purse is a lot roomier than you would think coming from a crossbody. And I got a steal of a deal on the price which sweetened the pot a little more. And the hardware is in gold so it coincides with my jewelry.

I bought this for a long weekend trip to use as my carryon. It worked great. Love all the pockets. I didn’t use the backpack straps as I didn’t find those very comfortable, but the cross-shoulder strap works well.

I would have liked the zip pouch to be slightly bigger so my passport would fit easily. I was able to get it in there but it was a tight fit and not easy to get in and out quickly.

I bought this to replace my older bag of this style because the inside of my older one is coming apart at the seams (which shouldn’t happen, but it’s been my summer bag for years). Like so many things, the older version is much better.

The two big differences: 1) capacity and 2) the strap. 1) Despite having the same external dimensions, the older version is more spacious and holds more stuff — the main compartment holds more and it has two (two!) big pockets inside instead of the one that this version has.

2) The way the strap is attached to the new bag I received, it’s not possible to wear it without either the strap being twisted or the buckle facing (and pressing into) my body, and both of these options are very uncomfortable and annoying.

And I constantly have to fuss with the strap to minimize these issues. In contrast, the strap on the older version attaches to the bag with carabiner-type clips, so it can always lie flat against your body, with the buckle facing out, no matter which side of the bag you wear facing out, and you can always smooth out the strap in an instant if it ever gets a twist.

And bonus: you can remove the strap and stash it inside for easy packing or storage. I wish I had a new bag like the old one (or that its stitching had held up), and I would not buy this again with its current design.

I have had two of these (one black, one tan) for several years. I bought the tan one for travel, except I used it all the time. So I bought a black one for travel. Now I use them both all the time. The bag is just the right size for me, not too big, not too small.

Importantly, you can get a 12-oz water bottle into the big pocket, so you can smuggle it into museums where they don’t want you bringing water. I have health conditions that make it imperative to drink a lot of water.

Another HUGE PLUS. I put these into lingerie bags and machine wash them on cold with other like-colored laundry, then hang them to dry. Any bag gets a little grimy over time, especially when you travel, so the ability to wash these has been AWESOME! Sometimes I need to spot treat stains, but so far, they have come out looking like new.

Also, the adjustable shoulder strap is much appreciated. You can set it to the length that is most comfortable for you. Lots of pockets help to organize things. When I travel, I keep my passport and other important documents in one of the zippered compartments so they are quickly accessible, but safely stored (I live in terror of misplacing things!).

I keep a zippered plastic bag in the large compartment with a bunch of small stuff in it, which makes changing purses much easier. Anyway, I LOVE THESE! Oh yeah! PS. in a pinch, I can smush the purse into my backpack when some airline thinks I have too many carry-ons.

I have had this bag a few weeks and use it almost daily. It is at least my 3rd purchase to get just the right daily bag. This one is almost perfect. A few small design elements keep if from being perfect.

The size of the water bottle elasticized pocket is way too small – I would suggest an open pocket a bit bigger than the phone/umbrella pocket that it on the other side. Another feature that is not at all great is the elasticized pen holders.

The location over the zipper pocket is not convenient – pens block the pocket. Also, the pens slip in the elastic holders and wind up hanging down or completely fall out. The good stuff – the interior is light in color.

The key clip loop is convenient and the wallet clip is on the opposite side. The multiple pockets give space for lots of stuff used on a regular basis home – not traveling. I have the larger version for travel.

This one does have a luggage sleeve – though not so important in my opinion. I would rather of have a back pocket that can’t open at the bottom. I use the back pocket but worry the bottom will become unzipped and things will slip out.

I would prefer a separate bottom zipper compartment or one of the hidden, phone side pockets. The red color is great. The straps adjust well.

This is my second purchase of this duffle bag; earlier I bought a camouflage one for my grandson. My grandchildren are 7 and 5 and these bags are the perfect size for a trip to grandma’s or a vacation.

They are well made, sturdy and durable. You also have many color/fabric options so there is sure to be something for everyone.

Coming to the web site to buy my second Rockland bag. I think I got the first one about 3. 5 years ago. I use and abuse it–hard–about every other day, and I’m starting to get worried about it now. So far, I’ve only lost a zipper pull (too lazy to fix it), but the corners are starting to look thin and worry me.

I’m surprised that this economy-priced bag has held up so well. I really love this bag. It has a place for everything, from big to small. Shoes, water bottle, towel in the middle, with room for a change of clothes (and lunch, if you cram it in there!).

The end pockets hold spare glasses, ipod, power pack, cables, CDs, snacks. And the smaller front pockets are ideal for gym card, hair bands, keys. If you don’t live out of your gym bag like I do, it might be a bit too big.

It’s going to be really hard for me to give up my pink paisley for one of these current graphic styles. Meh.

Just as others have said this bag seems durable. It holds a good amount of items. The bag has plenty of space for a gymnast. Change of clothes, water bottle, and shoes and out the door. I would recommend it.

I actually bought available colors. First, the material is durable though it can attract lint which stand out in the black color, the blue doesn’t have that problem so much. There are plenty of pockets to hold all your stuff.

I carry my laptop, iPad, small tech accessories bag, a small bag for my laptop cords, another small bag for hand lotion, hand sanitizer, and hand soap (I can’t use hand soap that is available in public spaces, get small silicon bottles and carry your own, it’s worth it).

I carry my reusable silicon straws, two sets of reusable wooden eating utensils, my water bottle, and an extra tote for grocery shopping. The only problem is the extra padding at times and the bag doesn’t stretch out which for me is a good thing because it reminds that I’m already packing enough for what I might need.

The straps are comfortable to carry by hand or thrown over your shoulder. At times though one strap will fall off your shoulder so it would be nice to have the straps clip together. I initially bought the bag in black and almost returned it because it collected so much lint and dust.

Also, I spilled hand sanitizer on it and it left a stain but I was able to scrub it out with a wet cloth. I love the bag so much I also bought it in blue. My previous bag was a name brand that cost half as much but after about a month of use that bag started sagging and lost it’s shape because I’m rough on bags just with the stuff I carry.

Other than the material attracting lint, I haven’t had any issues with the Yeti tote and I seriously do love this bag.

I got this bag as a gift from my boyfriend for my birthday last month. Until this tote, I had been using heavy leather designer handbags to carry my work binders and folders along with my wallet and other various essentials.

I am a bit of a leather purse snob so never in a million years did I think a fabric tote would win my heart. This tote has a pocket for EVERYthing. My 12. 9” iPad Pro fits perfectly and there is a second padded media pocket inside for my 11” Pro and my iPhone.

The drop length of the handles means I can swing it up on my shoulder without a struggle. The waterproof bottoms is easy to wipe off and ensures that if I do have to set it on the (wet or dry) ground I can do so without worry and I know all of my paper contents will be safe and sound.

I actually find myself wanting to carry this bag instead of a fancy purses now. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS TOTE. If they release other colors I will be purchasing a second one. If they don’t release new colors, I will buy the black one just to have it.

First, as expected, this is an awesome bag. It has two pockets for all my Yeti Ramblers size bottles, as well as external zippers for documents, and iPhones, etc. , and internal pockets for lap top, iPads, and iPhones, wallets, etc.

I bought this for my wife for her frequent trips to New York, but much utility for other travel and daily use. I plan on using it myself. One issue continues to haunt me. This is the third expensive Yeti product I was hard pressed to register.

Lots of numbers on tags, boxes, labels, that was not accepted by software. The warranty example tag with SKU number was useless. Please note I have registered numerous Yeti products and have never had to return or complain about a single product (I don’t bother to register the numerous drink products I order), but registration is frustratiing.

Fortunately, this like other Yeti products, does not cause concern. I highly doubt I will ever have to complain about anything. Time will tell, but the quality of the bag is typical Yeti exceptional.

Just make it easier to register ordered products. Most products clearly mark the registration number. Not so lately.

This is the second tote I bought from LE, trying to find the perfect tote to fit on my suitcase handle. The good: It’s well made, lightweight, not too large that it flops over your suitcase. The bad: A bit too tight to fit over my TravelPro handle.

but it works. Depending on how full it is, it might be easier to remove a few things to get it on the suitcase. The major issue is that there is no shoulder strap to carry it, once you check your luggage, it’s too much to carry by the handle and the straps aren’t long enough for shoulder carry.

While we are improving it, an inside pocket would be good as well as a larger outside pocket. Lastly, the handle wrap to hold the two carry straps together is ridiculous, not easy to manipulate. It should be a stiffer material and easier to wrap around.

I’m still searching for the perfect suitcase tote, this will work for now. I would only recommend if the things I mentioned wouldn’t bother you, or you just need a tote to throw in your car.

I ordered this bag for the sleeve that was supposed to fit over 8 inch wide handle on a samsonite rolling carryon. Doesn’t fit. I had to cut the sleeve and insert an extension piece with velcro fastener.

Now it works. Other than that, I like the bag. It has plenty of inside pockets of various sizes. It will hold my metal water bottle securely inside as well as a hurriedly stuffed in jacket. Lost a jacket at LAX because I didn’t have a bag to stuff it in.

Problem solved. Has a nice little ready access pocket on the outside for quickly needed items like tickets. Could use a shoulder strap. All in all, it’s a nice travel bag.

I found this bag to be roomy and flexible for under seat. stowage. I could improve this bag to be even better by: putting a bright contrasti g strip on top of the slot that is for slipping over your luggage carrier.

This would alert the owner that it is Not the side with the pocket. I stuck my phone into this side on the plane and it dropped to the floor. Glad I saw it! 2nd, place the inside pockets higher to the top of the bag.

Its hard to reach them in a crowded plain seat especially when your bag is full! Finally, consider having more outside pockets. If you had these features I would give a 5* rating!.

I’m really enjoying the Travel + Leisure collection as a whole. It gives all the practicality and functionality you come to expect from Travelpro but adds in a touch of style that I can really appreciate.

The UnderSeat Tote is made from a soft and smooth material that will still hold it shape even when empty making for easy loading and unloading. The leather accents give the bag a nice contrast in color and texture and are carried through even to the zipper pulls.

The low profile of the bag means that it sits closer to your body when carrying it crossbody making it easy to glide down the aisle without it knocking into people when you turn to enter your seat. The narrower shape of the bag is also nice because it fits under practically any plane seat or allows it to squeeze into tighter spaces in overhead bins that other bags would be too wide.

I received the Monaco Blue colorway and don’t have a problem about stowing it under the seat, but I might think twice if I chose the White Sand version as the side of the bag would be in direct contact with the floor of the plane.

The interior laptop compartment is best suited for a 13 or 14 inch computer, but I was able to fit an old 15. 6” Dell, if only just barely. The outer zipper that allows direct access to the interior laptop compartment only works with a smaller laptop, as larger laptops sit too high in the bag to pull out.

There is some degree of padding on the floor of the bag which is a nice touch as you may be setting a duffel style bag down on the floor more often saving the edges of your laptop from any dings. The nylon webbing on the straps and handles feels very nice to the touch.

However, my only complaint with that choice in material is that the handles can flop down when the bag is set down making for some unnecessary fumbling to pick the bag up again. I am torn if I would trade the nice feeling material for something more rigid that would make the handles stand up so that they are more easily grabbed.

Maybe a small leather wrap around that would bind the two handles together would prevent them from falling to the sides of the bag when you’re setting it down. A small nitpick, but as a father of two young boys, I find myself setting my bag down often and would appreciate a handle that was an easier grab and go.

I believe this bag was made with the intention of being paired with a 21 inch suitcase in the overhead compartment or with a larger checked bag. The UnderSeat Tote is large enough to hold everything you’ll need to have with you during a long flight.

But I’m a fairly light packer so my first use out of this bag was a weekend getaway where it fit 2 days worth of clothes, toiletries, and a light sweater. I think it has a use for a one bag traveler if they can get away without an extra pair of shoes, or bulky sweaters, or an overabundance of tech gear.

I do see myself getting a lot of use out of it as half of my travel consists of 2-3 day work trips and I’m not required to wear a suit. For longer leisure trips, it will be the bag that carries the family tech, entertainment, and snacks.

When on a plane, this nice looking bag (dark blue with brown trim) fits nicely under the seat in front of you. The side zipper allows you to conveniently get articles out of your bag, even when it is under the seat.

This lightweight bag is easy to carry and appears to be very durable. It has a shoulder strap and a hand strap. In addition, the side part of the bag fits over the handle of your carry-on luggage. The inside of the bag has multiple storage areas and snaps.

As such, it will become my go to personal item that I carry-on a plane.

This bag is first class, premium quality. I love the roomy pockets, the slip-on opening to slide over my suitcase handle, the leather trim and carry handles, and shoulder strap. I fit so much into this tote bag and it slips easily under the seat.

This is a much larger bag than I assumed after ordering it on clearance price – I didn’t read the description carefully. It looks well-made, the straps are strongly sewn. It’s too big for a day tote but would be just right for gym or a weekend away.

The lining has a nasty odor but a few days airing will dissipate that.

Beautiful teal color bag that’s larger than I expected. Will work as a work bag as well since the depth isn’t too wide as in most travel bags. Nylon material will be easy to clean. Recipient loved it! I would buy again at the sale price.

I am in love with this bag!!!! I was a little skeptical because the description does not give too much detail on strap drop but I ordered anyway. It is big, but I love big bags. You can use it as an every day bag, overnight or weekend bag.

I found this product because I was looking for a vegan work tote that could hold my laptop, and this bag does that and so much more! I originally ordered it in taupe, but I thought the color looked more tan when it arrived.

I didn’t like the tan color, so I ordered another in black and gifted the taupe to a friend for her graduation. The only drawbacks to this bag are that the seam for the laptop sleeve unraveled after a short time and I had to repair it, and the water bottle pocket is a little weird.

I use the latter to carry my sunglasses case instead. I had emailed The Vegan Warehouse about my issue of the seam unraveling after only having the tote for about 3-4 months, and even though it was outside of my order window, they still went above and beyond to do what they could to make sure I was happy with my order and gave me store credit either to get a replacement or to find something else through the site.

Overall I ended up happy with both my order and the customer service, and I got to try some other amazing products that I’ve reviewed as well!.

I loved my Taupe Paloma so much, I ordered another one in Black. I just used it for a short trip where I needed to keep paperwork and several medications with me. The organization is perfect! Some bags have so many pockets and sections, that you can’t remember what you put where.

This bag has just the right amount of organization. There’s even a special soft-lined, insulated water bottle pocket! But, my favorite part of the bag is the zipped “trolley” strap on the back. You just unzip the bottom and it slides over your luggage.

Otherwise, you keep it zipped and it’s a great outside pocket!! Just a beautiful bag!.

I bought this tote in the cute taupe color and I have been using it for only a week but I know it’s going to be the one bag I use over and over again. I’m a big bag gal so I love the size for my day to day but for others, it may be a little too much for every day.

BUT you also have the option to bring it with you on vacation. It has so many pockets and convenient little features like the key chain that holds small things, the waterbottle slot and the big pocket on the back that you can use for luggage.

Beautiful silhouette, structured and does not slouch, sturdy yet elegant, this bag is a amazing and I’m obsessed. The long straps make it very comfortable. It has a chic designer look (think ysl shopping tote) but without the price tag and with more durability.

It fits my work laptop, planner, notebook, makeup bag, sunglasses, pens and highlighters, and my large wallet. I bought the lightest dove color and it’s a perfect neutral off-white. The two rooms for improvement in my view would be metal feet on the bottom to keep it clean, and a stronger magnet for the magnetic closure.

These are not deal breakers though, it is still a stunning bag…. and for the price?! I’m buying it in more colors.

This bag is voluminous without being bulky. Bought for an upcoming trip on an airline with weight restrictions even in business class but used it last week on our regular carrier. We are carry on only and this bag holds a lot while still sitting on top of wheeled bag.

The interior slip pockets on the front wall are great for organizing smaller items. I was concerned about the trolley sleeve due to other reviewers stating it was too small, but perhaps they didn’t unzip the bottom completely.

It slid easily over the handle of my three carryons that I use from three major brands. We travel a lot and I change out bags according to my needs. I will be able to pack all of my camp clothes in packing cubes for an Australian adventure with bush planes (10kg weight limit and no wheeled bags allowed).

This is a versatile bag with an eye catching pop of color. The interior includes 3 unpadded open pockets where I keep my sunblock, tools, pens, and other small essential items. There is also one unpadded zipper pouch which I use to store money and basic first aid items.

The main compartment has ample room for a light sweater, tech items, magazine, park maps, snacks, and 16oz water bottle. I found that my 32oz water bottle was too tall for the tote and made zipping the bag awkward.

Neither water bottle would fit in the interior pouches and there is not another dedicated spot for a water bottle, which i would have preferred. I plan on keeping the tote in my SUV so that I can grab it and go for whatever adventures pop up throughout the day.

I use this tote when traveling cross-country via Amtrack. A bag like this is handy when using one of Amtrack’s sleeping car options. This tote is particularly hand because of the interior pockets. Other totes I’ve used don’t have pockets so it’s difficult to find specific items.

Also the tote is pretty much waterproof. It also has a slide pocket so it can be looped on the handle of wheeled luggage. It is a bit larger than I imagined, even after I noted the posted dimensions, but I still think it’s a good design.

Excellent, lightweight and surprisingly good size – 19. 5 x 15 x 6 inches or 50 x 38 x 15cm, when you’ve finished using, it folds into itself, zip fastener, both when open and closed, Also has a handy tab to hang it up, so ready to use next time.

Useful for last minute items you can’t get in suitcase. Also is ideal for holidays, to bring back unexpected purchases, and so light weight.

The nice rectangular shape makes this an easy fit inside a carryon piece of luggage, even in a teardrop shaped conventional day pack since the thin nylon readily conforms to the available space. The upgrade to 20L is neat, but the tote can quickly get heavy so it’s not designed for multiple metal water bottles or camera gear (Osprey 13L much better for heavier tasks).

Where this excels is for bulkier but lighter stuff like warm layers at colder destinations (or flip flops at a beach), and as an ultralight place to dump stuff in flight. Well also for shopping for clothes locally.

I will often pack this with inflight items, do my ground transits with it stowed in my carryon, then pull it out at the gate for use at my seat. Restore after landing for the security transit. The space it takes up, empty, and it’s weight, are each so negligible there’s no penalty for bringing it along.

It also makes a great packing cube, and unlike a single purpose packing cube, doubles as a tote on arrival. Quality is much better than 15 years ago when REI’s “stuff” line wasn’t as sturdy or as well detailed.

Now the stuff travel tote and stuff duffel are top of their class. If you need a crossbody strap, grab the outgoing design before it sells out.

Great “personal item” (airline term) for flights, doesn’t take up any space underseat and doesn’‘t raise airline eyebrows. Admittedly I could upside from this Stuff Travel Tote’s 16L to a bag almost twice as big under SOME airlines rules for “personal items”, but my big carryon is overhead anyway.

The real advantage of this Stuff Travel Tote is its minimalist design – thin but sturdy nylon, thin webbing straps, no wasteful padding – which allows it to be flattened down and stowed in my main carryon bag or in my checked luggage WITHOUT being a space hog.

The exterior shove-it panel is a really nice touch, I put my e-ticket and hotel vouchers in there for easy access when I’m close to needing them (otherwise stowed inside for more security). This Stuff Travel Tote is minimalist, so I usually use it to cover the small messenger bag or sling I intend to use on the ground when I arrive – using this as an “over” bag gives me the room I need during transit for a thin fleece and water bottles, stuff I won’t carry along on the ground.

That’s why this has to be thin ‘n’ light, so I don’t waste space on padding and features, those are provided by the EDC I carry inside. Obviously for ladies this is a great place to stow a purse, with room left over for their extras.

As with my favorite thin ‘n’ light daypacks, the REI Flash 18 and Flash 22, less is truly more, in terms of travel functionality.

Was at my local REI shopping for holiday gifts and spotted this bad boy on a 50% off end cap display. I have a soft spot for things that stuff into their own pockets, so naturally I had to have it. It was inexpensive enough that if I only used it for groceries or running errands I was happy.

But turns out that it’s REALLY well constructed, durable, functional, and cute! (blue/orange pattern) It’s literally perfect for the day’s odds and ends: extra layer, dog leashes, snacks, small items like lip balm and phone are handy in the inner zip pocket (that it turns itself into), and slip front pocket tall enough for skinny long water bottles, or 2 because the pocket stretches! And I can chuck it anywhere in the car because the main compartment zips closed! So many cute and/or packable totes don’t do this.

The material is very light and packable, but sturdy and has strong webbing straps. It’s the perfect size, not too big, not too small. I literally take this tote with me everywhere, either using it or stuffed in a bigger bag for shopping or incidentals.

Have also used it for work holding a small binder and tablet. Favorite usage (don’t tell): sneaking all items I like to have handy for travel onto the plane – snacks (clearly very important), sanitizer, lip balm, hand lotion, scarf, wallet, phone, tablet, cords, water bottle, extra napkins for the hubby.

Attendants would try to shake me down as I board for carry on rules if I had a small backpack AND a small tote/purse for those items, even though they both got under the seat fine. Now I just use a food bag for the items and the tote (they don’t fuss bc they think it’s food you bought after security), then transfer all items to the tote and zip securely once on the plane.

Winning.

Was a Christmas gift “from” my husband (that I told him about, then I ordered for my gift from him!). I am very happy with this bag. It is gorgeous- looks amazing! Not only that, but it feels very high quality as well.

I am not worried about the straps coming loose, etc. I have received many compliments on it. It is large enough to hold my laptop and some files for work. The ONLY thing I would like is some kind of fastener at the top.

I get that it is the style of the bag, but even just a snap, magnet, tie, etc. could help- not sure if it would ruin the look- but, since it is tall, it does tend to fall over in my car, and everything spills out of it.

Today I decided that I will start buckling it into my passenger seat with the seat belt to avoid that from now on! I do love it, and will be regularly browsing your site for a future bag since I’m so happy with this one and I like the Consuela style/look.

I ordered this item as a gift for my aunt. I was so excited when it arrived. I couldn’t wait to admire its beauty. Then I noticed that the CONSUELA name was upside down on the tote itself. In the past, I had seen same totes (friends’ and pics) but with the CONSUELA name right side up.

I contacted customer service because I felt I had been cheated out of the perfect tote and this made it look like a knock off. Customer service said that the fabric on the production of this tote just came out that way and sent me a pic another smaller tote with the name upside down.

They said I could return it and then look for one myself at a Consuela store. They didn’t even offer return instructions or another tote showing the name right side up. I was so disappointed. I was hoping for a personal touch of customer service and did not receive it nor the tote I wanted.

Not so excited anymore. :(.

I love this bag so much! I was purchasing all of these Coach bags, never really having them hit the mark on the style that I wanted to express. The Poppy classic Tote has all of the personality I’m looking for! It arrived in a box where it was carefully packaged.

It really made me feel special opening the box. Like I was unwrapping a Louis bag. Yet here we are. I think I have a better product. So well made, durable, and so much more style! All around, so much care was invested in making this bag.

If this review is posted, I want everyone to know that if you’ve ever considered purchasing one of these bags, that they should do it soon. I could see the price going up as their popularity increases.

I bought it to use for cabin baggage and am now using it for work every day. I absolutely love it. It’s tough but stylish and can be worn as a backpack or carried as a bag.

Pretty good bag for the sale price of $20. I was hoping that it would be a bit larger but it still accommodates lots of stuff! So far so good!

This tote is amazing! I ordered it in the natural and the red (and went back and found the black black on an as is price). The natural is beautiful! The contrasting colors really make the bag “pop”. The organization is unbelievable! This is a bigger north south size bag so if you like big bags you will love this one.

My only complaint is I wish the shoulder strap was long enough to be a crossbody strap but it’s still plenty long enough and comfortable. The red one I ordered was missing the shoulder strap so I don’t know what happened there but I would have returned it anyway because the bag matched the red interior lining but if you’re a fan of that then go for it.

Overall this is an excellent tote and thankfully it’s the Italian nylon because I am not a fan of Dooney’s shiny nylon at all!.

I purchased this Editor’s Travel Tote to carry books and magazines with me in the car when I travel. It’s a wonderful size for just about anything book related that I’d need or want to carry with me.

The longer strap is helpful when my hands are full with luggage and the shorter handles are perfect when hands are free! The color is lovely and as always, the leather is rich and supple. There’s nothing I would change about this bag.

Thank you for the reasonable and affordable price. This bag holds magazine, newspapers, my large tablet upright with no bending. The bag is beautiful and I get many compliments. If the top isn’t locked, anyone can reach in.

That can be annoying but is worth the extra trouble. I Love this bag and really all my Dooney’s. Keep adding the inside tall middle compartments.
