A torque converter is a device that is used to transfer rotating force from a power source to a load. The device consists of a housing that contains a turbine and a stator. The turbine is connected to the power source and the stator is connected to the load.
The device uses fluid dynamics to convert the rotating force from the power source into a force that can be applied to the load.
Many modifications, particularly big cams, tend to reduce low end power and torque. The high stall converter allows the engine to launch the car at higher rpm where more torque is available. The Holeshot is generally a very good choice for the typical street machine that is looking for better launch capability and more strength.
Street rods with modified engines will also benefit from a Holeshot converter. If your vehicle is equipped with a plate type nitrous system, you will need a Nitrous Holeshot Stall speed listings are based on engines producing 230lb.
ft. of torque at 2,500 rpm. More torque at 2,500 rpm will give you more stall speed, less torque at 2,500 rpm will give you less stall speed than the stall speed ratings indicated. Furnace brazed impeller.
New precision steel alloy pump drive tube. New heavy duty needle bearing between stator and impeller (not a thrust washer). Needle bearing between stator and turbine. Furnace brazed turbine. Dual pattern drive lugs on some GM Holeshots.
New turbine hub. New springs and rollers in stator.
Upgrading to a holeshot torque converter with a higher stall speed can give you better acceleration from a dead stop. It allows the engine to launch the car at a higher rpm, where more torque and power are available.
This can be especially important if other modifications like larger cams have reduced your low end power and torque. The holeshot 2000 has a stall speed of 1900-2100 rpm based on an engine producing 230 lb.
Ft. Of torque at 2500 rpm, so it is best suited for mild performance applications, such as vehicles with minor engine modifications that don’t produce more than 350 horsepower. In addition to better launch capability, the holeshot also provides more strength.
Please note: high stall torque converters can build extra heat, so supplementary transmission cooling is recommended to avoid premature transmission failure. This converter should not be used with a transbrake, and it requires a small 10-3/4in bolt circle flexplate or dual pattern flexplate.
A fresh transmission rebuild on a turbo 350, replaced the high stall speed converter with this more street able one. No issues replacing it. Summit racing reliable as always, they say they have it in stock, and they do, plus ship it immediately.

Torque converter is awesome. Got it in today however Jegs in the product details it would really be helpful to specify what thread the mounting ears are. I discovered they require a 3/8-16 bolt. You only list the 10.
75” bolt pattern. That’s why I rated four stars plus there was so much paint build up on the threads. Better quality control and item description/details is a must and btw at Jegs. com your recommendations for items needed only showed bolts that are 3/8-24.
If your gonna sell a torque converter, sell the correct bolts it requires!.
Have this behind a 350 turbo and a 355 with a Lunati Voodoo Hyd roller cam and Edelbrock Aluminum heads. A 3. 42 posi rear in my wife’s 81 Z28 Camaro. it works flawlessly. I can footbrake it right to 2500 rpm, and it will idle in gear with no struggle.
Step into it at about 20-30 mph and it lights up the tires! Great value for a good converter! I highly recommend it!.
If your thinking about buying a converter, to stop your truck from shaking, and actually get it into the powerband, this is the one to get. Should’ve bought it a year ago. Only raised rpm 200 cruising 60mph.
I had the 2800SB installed on my stock 2006 sierra on a stock 5. 3. After maybe 1,000miles the converter bearing went out causing extremely high trans temps as well as ruined my new front pump. 3-4 clutches, and chewed up the trans shaft the converter slides onto.
This converter was installed on a fresh trans rebuilt by a reputable builder in northwest Fl. Also had a true cool 40k trans cooler. Now have to get another converter “NOT FTI” and another trans build.
FTI blames the trans shop and refuses to help with repairs to trans and wanted the converter back to check it for failures before a refund would be given and only if they found a failure. NEVER USE FTI AGAIN!!!!!!! 11/12/18.
Overall a great converter its well built. Perfect upgrade for LS base Silverado especially for heavy trucks and engines will 220 and up duration camshafts and other modifications. Converter works great on my setup and with 3.

Installed in a 1984 K10 lifted with big tires while converting to 700R4 overdrive transmission feel that I made an excellent decision definitely feels more powerful throughout the entire RPM range. Worth every penny just eat the expense now instead of a lot more later.
AFTER REBUILDING THE 4L60E IN MY HSV 1993 VR CLUBSPORT WITH A MASTER OVERHAUL KIT IT WAS FALSE ECONOMY NOT TO REPLACE THE TORQUE CONVERTOR.IT WORKED FINE.NO TRANSMISSION FAULT CODES WERE DISPLAYED .

Great welds on it. Put it in with no issues. Test drove my grand stock circle track car. Car drives so much better now. Stall is around 1900 and she rolls after that. Extremely happy.
I bought this converter for my stock car. I did notice the drive lugs were barely welded on, so i just welded them myself. I did call jegs and aware them. But It is a nice little upgrade for the price.
It works pretty well and seems pretty durable so far.
Bought this to try in my wagon had a much too big converter in it. Absolutely love it made the car much more enjoyable to drive. Will be purchasing another for one of my other toys.
Dacco offers the most extensive line of torque converters in the industry. When Dacco joined forces with Transtar, created a game-changing partnership aimed at delivering unbeatable service and selection, backed by the most reliable expertise in the transmission aftermarket industry.
I ordered this torque converter because it fit my application which it does not. In areas where smog inspection is required this torque is useless even if it physically fits, it has no timing marks which are needed to set ignition timing and to pass smog inspection.
I ordered this part for a 2004 Cadillac CTS 3. 6L and tried to bolt it up. I noticed before I installed it that it looked a little different from the factory one although figured it was because it wasnt a factory part.
I went to bolt up the transmission and noticed it had about a 1/4″ gap between the block and the trans. I turned the bolts a little more thinking it was just tight going over the line up pins- long story short, it busted the bell housing bolts on the oil pan and now I get to buy a new oil pan.
I did some research and found the correct part is actually B24-0895 (found this by looking up the lockup code) which AZ doesnt carry. This part is referenced as a 2004-07 SRX 3. 6L. I will return this part today and have to go elsewhere because AZ doesnt carry it :-(.
Attached is a pic of this incorrect part on the trans (5L40E).

I have ordered 2 of these cvt’s and they both work great. Great price and fast shipping from auto express. Installed 1 on warrior mb200 mini bike and the other on a coleman ct200u-ex. Use 1†square tubing spacers on the engine mount and it fits great with no trimming the back plate.
Make sure to use a couple large flat washers on the crankshaft before putting the front driver pully on to insure proper alignment.
I have an older yerf dog 3203 go kart with the factory 6. 5 horse power tecumpseh motor and a worn out 30 series comet clutch and torque converter. I only used the clutch, belt, and driven torque converter from this kit, But it bolted right on without a fuss and does the job.
The torque converter is a 6″ in this kit and the factory was a 7″. I’m not sure how this affects the overall performance but it seems to be working just fine as this is just a fun Kart, might be different for someone who races etc.
Out of the box it seems to be a great buy for the money.
