I have been in the building trades most of my life. I have seen a lot of fads come and go, you also learn what works and what fails. When I find something that works good enough for me to write a review.

You can bet it’s a great product. This countertop kit is amazing, it has easy-to-follow instructions and it also includes a DVD in the kit, you can also watch videos online. my wife and I completed the project in less than 3 days, it was by far one of the best projects we have worked together on.

We are going to do both bathrooms next. If you can find this product it really works great, highly recommended by my wife, and I.

The answer you are looking for: Yes, it transforms your existing countertops. The second answer: It is unlikely that you will trick anyone into thinking you’ve got new countertops. It is a 2-3 day DIY project, quicker and easier with 2 people, but certainly doable by 1 person.

The hardest part is sanding. Be prepared to sand, sand, and sand more. Then sand some more. And again. Apply the sticky tar, spray the decorative chips, wait to dry. Then sand, sand, sand. Sand till your arms get numb.

Rest and sand more. The more you sand the smoother the finish. Apply finish. Be prepared to use plenty of dripsheets to protect your cabinets, walls, and floors. Before applying the compounds consider removing the sink altogether, else you are risking telltale signs of having applied a finish, especially around the front edge where the sink meets the countertop.

If you cannot or do not want to remove the sink – remove masking tape immediately after applying each compound, do not allow them to dry to the tape or you will be peeling it off with the compounds. The results are very good.

Countertops look nearly stone like. Total transformation achieved, especially in our case when applied dark product onto existing almond countertops. Still it was impossible to achieve that finish you’d get by replacing your countertops, here and there showing an unevenly dried finish, albeit visible only depending on light direction.

Love this product. I had an old Formica laminated countertop that was in bad busted up/cracked shape. I nailed down the loose areas, used drywall mud to fill in the cracks/holes. Sanded the entire thing, Then taped it off and went to work with this product.

It’s messy when you get to the flake stage. There is just no way to avoid it. So tape off/plastic as needed before you begin. Stage two requires a shop vac and a lot of sanding. Then the worst of it is over.

Wipe it all down with a damp cloth. Let that dry, then clear coat it. Absolutely beautiful. I wish I could upload pictures to show everyone. This product is so worth it. I’ve even used the Rustoleum bathtub refnishing kit on a fiberglass tub and surround.

Another wonderful product by Rustoleum. Well worht the money for restoring countertops in your own home, rental properties, or if you want to save on a kitchen remodel on a house you’re flipping. You can’t go wrong here.

Best top coat ever. My home manicure lasts several days longer because of this top coat. It goes on super shiny and a little thicker than other brands, but it dries very quickly. The two small drawbacks are the strong chemical smell and the fact that when the bottle is getting low, down to about 1/4 remaining, the product becomes almost too thick to use.

Otherwise, I give this top coat an A plus. This dries my nails way faster than any other top coat and looks fantastic if you apply one coat with care. Love it.

Poshe is the perfect balance between FAST drying and protecting your manicure. When using proper base coat and this top coat, my natural nails using and brand of polish hold color with little to no chipping for 5 days.

Poshe dries two coats of polish in minutes for light activity, and my polish is hard set in less than an hour. I’ve tried so many others; I use this over what my nail tech does when I go to see her. This is the only top coat I spend my money on.

I really like the Kwik Dry top coat a lot. It’s a thick consistency, goes on smoothly, dries quickly, is pretty good at leveling out, and has a glossy finish. Since it’s a thick top coat it doesn’t drag your nail color unless you don’t put enough on your brush.

I like to put this top coat on when my color polish is almost fully dry. this top coat tends to speed up the rest of the drying time, much faster than if I let my color polish dry to a hard finish on its own.

I wait this long as if I put it on too fast it will pick up the color on the brush.

I applied this to a nightstand top that I had painted with beyond paint in sage. I followed directions to a “t” and had noticeable brush strokes, and cloudy streaks. I will not use this top coat on other projects.

This sealer is great it has very little smell so it is easier to use during winter where opening a window for ventilation is too cold. It went on very smooth and clear.

I have used Daich spreadrock on three different occasions in three different locations. I followed the directions to the letter since this was an expensive product I didn’t want any mishaps to occur.

Now one year later I am seeing two different issues. The first is that the spreadrock close to the edges has peeled away in chunks and left me looking at the primer , the second is that where the sealer was applied twice, it still turns to a solid white color when it rains then back to clear when dry.

This only occurs on the chocolate brown color and not on the two other colors that I have used. ???? When I called they said they never had a call about this before. Maybe one coat should have been used?.

I used this product to cover up a laminate bathroom countertop that was in perfect condition. I prepped the surface per the instructions and applied as directed. After 4 months of use the paint is peeling and chipping in several areas.

Customer service told me to simply “apply more product” to the areas that are chipping, and that areas of high moisture can be “problematic. ” I wish I could have my laminate back. My countertop will need to be replaced.

Watch the videos and follow the directions and this product is AMAZING. Completely transformed a 90s kitchen in a rental unit. Requires some patience but totally worth it. I wondered what my results would be but I am thrilled.

This is THE BEST fast drying, shiny top coat I’ve ever used! I’ve tried ibd, sally hanson’s diamond fast dry, cuccio’s 7 second speed dry, as well as a couple from even the dollar store. Diamond Dry is awesome, because you don’t have to wait a few minutes for your colored polish to dry like with other ones that will take off your color or streak it! I would use diamond dry even if it wasn’t fast drying because it keeps my manicure so shiny! And it IS fast drying, unlike all the others I’ve mentioned, even the 7 second dry.

Plus diamond dry doesn’t smell like poison like many others, especially the 7 second one does!.

Piggy Paint Ice Cream Dream Nail polish my granddaughters loved this ! I like that nothing in the polish is toxic ! It’s also very easy clean up ! These polishes are 75% water my 10 yr old granddaughter does her nails every few days rubbing alcohol can easily remove the polish to get the polish to harden its best to use a hair dryer we used my nail dryer & it worked even better ! I used it too 3 coats if you want long lasting polish use the piggy Paint base coat & dry in between each coat of polish I recommend this polish it can be used on small children -adults ! ! I loved the saturated color and it lasted for 2 weeks on my toes without chipping. I did experience some chipping on my fingernails after 5 days. I used Sally Hansen base and top coat with both toes and fingers.

I usually use a soy based polish remover for removal all my polishes ((usually Sally Hansen, Opi and Essie). However, the polish wouldn’t come off with the soy polish remover. Luckily I had some acetone remover and was able to use that.

Even with the acetone remover, it took me an hour to get the polish off my fingers! I didn’t bother trying to remove the polish off my toes. I went to a nail salon and they had to soak off the polish with acetone remover and file off the remnants of polish.

They asked me if I was wearing gel polish. I had to show them the bottle. I won’t use this polish again. I get the same staying power with my regular polishes with the headache of removal.

I really like this matte top coat. It dries quickly and leaves my polish super matte. I’m really bad with smudging my nails, and I smudge them less when I use this top coat. It’s not streaky either. It lasts a couple days before the matte effect starts to wear off, and my nails start to get a weird half matte/half shine look to them (if almost looks like they’re oily?), so that’s why I knocked a star off.

Otherwise, it’s a nice budget top coat.

I’ve had this for a while and I’ve tried repeatedly to get it to go on correctly. I do my own acrylic nails and nail art, and I’m really big on mixing shiny and matte nails, so I figured this would be perfect.

Well, wrong. I will say that this top coat does go on smooth and even, but. it only applies as “matte” to the first nail I paint. The first nail is usually a beautiful, frosty finish and it’s beautiful (I usually apply it over black).

Then I proceed to coat the next nail. and it never, NEVER comes out as matte. It’s not as shiny as a regular top coat, but it’s far from matte. I’m doing my nails at this very moment and I have taken the polish off my thumb and have redone it about 3 times because of this top coat, I try again and it’s STILL not matte, after 3 times I’m over it.

My ring fingernail is beautiful though, I just don’t get it. It’s not just this time either, it has been EVERY TIME I have tried to use it. I’m done fighting with this stuff, it’s a waste of time because I have to keep taking off my polish, reapplying, and waiting for it to dry over and over.

Don’t spend your money, it’s a waste.

I absolutely LOVE Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat. It applies evenly & so easily every single time, & it dries in seconds. I have tried other, more expensive matte top coats, and they don’t hold a light to this brand.

I apply 1 coat of Sally Hansen Maximum Growth, two coats of polish, then top it off with the matte, and it never smudges, looks awesome, helps my nails grow and lasts for days without chipping. Make sure each layer of polish have dried before applying the next coat.

Love this stuff! Using matte instead of gloss gives a completely different look, so it’s like doubling your nail polish collection because you get a different look with each top coat. So glad I discovered it.

Er trocknet schnell und glänzt sehr schön, allerdings musste ich jetzt bei mehreren Anwendungen eine großzügigere Schicht auftragen und das mit möglichst wenig Pinselstrichen, da sonst der vorher aufgetragene Nagellack wieder verwischt und zum Teil abgetragen wird.

Mit einer dünnen Schicht und schön langsam überall auftragen ist da nichts.

TranslateShow in original languageHabe diesen Top Coat eher per Zufall mitgenommen. Benutze sonst immer die Drops von essence. Mit diesem hervorragenden Ergebniss hab ich nicht gerechnet. Mal schauen wie lange die Farbe darunter hält.
