So, in 2014 my wife and I bought our first house ever – a 1947 ranch home that had not been updated since the Nixon administration. Being raised in a generation of HGTV pipe dreams crossed with an unfounded belief that YouTube can teach anything, we decided to take the plunge and go full-on Fixer-Upper on this thing.

We were not the smartest. I barely owned a picture-hanging kit, let alone the tools needed to take a house to the studs and back. On the very first day of renovations, I made a discovery that shook me to my core – construction work is not that much fun if you are trying to do it all with a hand screwdriver.

Once again, we weren’t the smartest. I decided that if I was going to be a real construction man, I needed a drill. So I went down to the local home improvement store and looked for something in my price range.

I found this drill/driver kit. It was in the sub-$100 category, and came with two batteries. I knew nothing about power tools, and the fact that it came with two batteries was the sole reason I bought it.

Over the next year, I abused that drill. I used 4″ hole saws and ran through thousands of drywall screws. I mixed mortar and grout and concrete. I repaired decks and hung doors. The drill never budged.

Almost 5 years later, we’ve now renovated 3 houses and have completed countless projects from bookshelves to beds to beams. This drill has been my right-hand man the entire time. It’s never hinted at dying, it’s never lost an ounce of power, and it’s always been 100% reliable and predictable.

It is still, to this day, the only drill I own. About 2 weeks ago, I went and bought a set of new batteries as mine had started to lose charge and power a bit quicker than they used to. With the new ones in place the drill perked back up to its old self and acted like it was brand new.

I ABUSED IT FOR 4 AND A HALF YEARS BEFORE I NEEDED NEW BATTERIES. That’s twice as long as the average life of my smartphones. I genuinely couldn’t be more thrilled with this drill. I can’t fathom getting a better bang for your buck, and it has made me completely become a DeWalt 20V MAX fanboy.

I have never purchased another brand of power tool because of my experience with this drill.

This beautiful little powerhouse grabbed me over a year ago and I continue to be amazed and in love with the versatility of the DCD771 1/2” cordless drill/driver. Always charged and always ready the DCD771 is seemingly, ready for any new task I invent: last week I purchased a 1” sharpening tool, inserted it in the drill/driver, and touched up my lawn mower blade.

Later I removed the blade and completely sharpened it. I also stir and mix paint, polish metal, wax and buff wood, and clean metal. However, the major function of my DCD771 is drilling and driving with projects.

Changing drills and drivers is simple. The two power levels are nice. Settings for the appropriate torque are easy and convenient and the trigger variable speed is a welcome feature. Although minor and have nothing to do with the overall efficiency of this machine, there are two items that could be addressed: 1.

Clips or inserts could be installed at the rear and below the grip so changing drivers could be more convenient. 2. The light on the DCD771 is useful, however, I find it stays on too long and more importantly, the barrel of the drill/driver casts a shadow that obscures vision in very low light conditions.

There you have it. Would I buy DCD771 again? Without question. I can and do recommend the DCD771 without reservation. Get one. or two and give the second to your significant other.

This was a great purchase from the get go. I bought it on sale for just under $100, when it arrived the batteries were charged and ready to work. After using it a few times (over the last 6 months) I’ve only had to change the battery once, these don’t seem to die like my previous drills did when not in use.

It’s lightweight and compact so it’s easy to maneuver into tighter areas and with the little light that comes on when you hit the trigger it’s even easier to use in dimly lit corners, etc. An overall winner in my book :-).

This is a great starter tool kit. The reason I gave it four stars is because it did not come with a screwdriver, which is was bummed about. Even though it did not come with a screwdriver, it did come with so many tools that you wouldn’t think to buy or keep on hand.

I do like the fact that screws and nails were included. I do have to say the drill has worked great so far too! I used it to put together a media stand, and it lasted the entire time as soon as I pulled it out of the box.

I received this for Christmas and was excited to try it out. I’ve been using it now for 4 months and feel like I’ve had it long enough to give it a fair review. This is a great first tool set for someone to utilize in a first home/apartment.

I’ve used everything in here so far with the exception of the flat scraper tool because I have no idea what to use that for. The level and tape measure were very helpful in hanging up pictures, along with the container of screws and tacks.

The mini screwdrivers are great to have for when you’re changing out batteries in kids toys especially. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the electric screwdriver but it really is good for smaller things.

I would not recommend it for drilling screws into walls or putting together big outdoor kids toys (like play climbers and things) since it doesn’t have much power. We have found that it charges pretty quickly and has many attachments although we’ve only had to use 3 or 4.

I think it’s worth the money to have this set and be able to access it easily since it comes in a nice little case. It’s easy to store in a kitchen cabinet and the power screwdriver charges pretty quickly.

I purchased a power screwdriver prior to receiving this kit and paid $20-25 for it and I would compare it to the power screwdriver in this set as far as power goes. Definitely worth getting this kit when you look at it like that since it’s not much more and comes with so many other things you will use.

This little tool kit comes in handy when I’m doing one of my projects, like putting together one of my son’s toys to remodeling my whole bathroom. It can be used for bigger projects cause it does have all the basic necessary tools to pretty much do anything.

I always need one or a few things out of the kit. It is a must have especially if you’re a homeowner.

The first Jorgenson woodworking clamps I bought were old, well used secondhand ones at a garage sale. This was a dozen or so years ago. They have served me well since. Through the years I’ve bought lots of clamps since that first garage sale.

Some Jorgenson, some Irwin, some Rockler, and even a few at Harbor Freight. Recently I was going to glue up a walnut chair I had been making, and needed a few more longer bar clamps. I got to the bigbox store and the Jorgenson clamps were on sale.

I opted for the extra heavy duty bar clamps that gave the clamping pressure I needed. They preformed beautifully without any bar flex at maximum pressure. I was so pleased with their performance I went back for more Jorgenson clamps the next day! I believe that Jorgenson has won me over to being a loyal customer from now on.

I’ve been a Jorgensen steel bar clamp owner for nearly 20 years and never once been disappointed by their performance. I have 6, 12 and 18 inch light and medium duty clamps. You can never have too many clamps, so I gladly have 40 in my possession.

And yes, there are projects in which I use all of them at the same time! It’s amazing how much pressure you can get from a simple handle being twisted. They work great under all the pressure you will need for nearly all your clamping needs.

My older clamps did not come with the cushioned rubber ends. They were a great improvement to an otherwise wonderful product. I don’t think you’ll ever be disappointed with using them.

This is my most-used clamp. It is great for holding wood in place during glue-ups where light clamping is the goal because the rubber pads obviate the need for blocks to prevent denting. Only if I need a strong clamp to bring parts into alignment or close a gap I will take the time to set up a stronger clamp with pads.

These clamps naturally prevent over-clamping and excessive squeeze-out. It is also a great clamp for holding work in position while drilling and screwing. It is light to carry and set in place, especially overhead.

The 3′ size is a great one to stock in quantity.

Like so many others, I purchased this webcam for Zoom meetings to replace a poorly functioning builtin camera on an older IBM ThinkPad T420 which we use for yoga in highly portable situations, moving it from room to room.

I also tried it out on my new ASUS Livebook laptop. , which is fundamentally a purely fixedplace, heavily wired up desktop setup. On the ASUS, it worked beautifully and seamlessly. On the IBM, it turned into an ongoing hassle with Logitech Tech Support.

In the first place, the software would not install properly, yielding multiple messages that another installation was also running. A search of LogiTechs database turned up a possible fix, which I implemented successfully.

After the fix, the camera was operational in the sense that it would recognize a miniwindow for my appearance in the Gallery view of Zoom, but the live picture feed was absent. This prompted numerous back and forth messages between me and Logitech, trying to assess where the problem lay.

I received 2 different aftermarket solutions of alternative executables to try, none of which solved the problem. Either the camera was not registered and recognized as a Zoomavailable device, or the picture image would not display.

Basically, I have given up making it work on the IBM, and we forgo camera use on Zoom meetings that we have to use the portable IBM for. It works seamlessly on the ASUS, for Zoom meetings where we dont have to relocate the computer for convenience.

We can see the yoga instructor, but she cant see us. My recommendation is to only order this camera for a very recently manufactured laptop. In those circumstances, Id give it high marks. For older devices, its a crap shoot.

What disturbs me most is that Logitech does not have real solutions for to address what is clearly a new issue, namely the widespread use of Zoom.

It does the job, sort of. The image is fine with a little tweaking once the appropriate software is downloaded. The microphone works well even at a distance. Which became important The device does not clip securely to the top of a screen, limiting the ability to angle the camera where you want it for a good image.

The major problem is that the camera doesn’t zoom. When clipped to the top of my computer screen, it shows only a portion of my face and EVERY SINGLE BLEMISH AND PORE. To use this, I had to fasten it to the wall behind my computer screen.

Then I had to stand up to adjust, sit down to check the view, stand up to adjust, sit down to check the view and on and on. Because of having to mount the camera behind my screen, it is also rather high.

When I’m in meetings and looking at my screen, it makes is look like I’m not looking at the other people in the meeting. I bought this as a short term fix because my desktop doesn’t have a camera and my laptop is having the speakers repaired.

I’ll probably return it as soon as the laptop is repaired.

To cut to the chase, this webcam is not that good. Why did I need itBecause were in quarantine and Im working from home, I have a 2 monitor setup and my laptop has to sit facing me at a 45 degree angle.

People at work kept making little comments about how I wasnt looking straight into the camera so I decided to get one that I could mount on top of a monitor and point directly at me. Why isnt it that greatIf I recall correctly, it said it was a 720p, which I believe is the same as the builtin webcam on my work laptop.

The one on my work laptop is probably twice as clear but still isnt that impressive. Why didnt I return itBecause I needed it to attend meetings and have the camera facing me, and were in a pandemic which prompted webcams to sell out andor quadruple in price in the spring.

This was 30. It performs like a 20 webcam, so 25 stars is considered Fair. I think thats fair considering current events. I give Best Buy 55 stars for having a cheap webcam in stock in June of 2020, thoughI used my personal laptop MSI Prestige once for a meeting and someone commented how amazingly hi def I looked.

Thats because it has a good integrated webcam. If youre looking to stream YouTube videos or podcasts or whatever, dont use this one. This is good enough for work or good enough to Skype with family and thats as far as it goes.

To be Fair youll need to drop 5 to 10 times this amount to get something that will meet your needs for serious streaming. that said, the Would you recommend this to a friend question. I would rather answer It depends on what theyre using it for but its Yes or No.

Overall, if you care about quality at all, Id suggest spending double to buy something thats at least 1080p.

I don’t know how much longer quality hand tools will be available on the market. I am pleased to have these on hand. They certainly look great for their intended purpose, but I aim to also give them a go at Buffy’s nails – my 20# dog.

I figure real tools will leave the “pretty” pet products in the dust, heh.

I got loppers about a year ago and they are still doing great! The design of the cutting edge really helps with cutting through larger wire when a straight cutting edge takes a bit to much gumption to get through it.

I find them very useful.

Yes, a bit pricey, but a solid quality tool. I have used this item for building a solar power system on our 5th wheel. The cutters work well in the ranges advertised with increasing difficulty as the wire thickens.

I have used these cutters many times since and would not hesitate to purchase again. but I should not ever have to unless these go missing. I expect these to last longer then me.

He was like a little kid at Christmas. All weekend long he was in his garage working on something. He refused to use my black and decker. Said it didn’t have enough power and the battery life was to short.

Boy howdy, he was all over repairing the fence, changing out bumpers, you name it he was doing it. I didn’t get a chance to take a picture because I dropped my phone in the sink. Well. I know what to get him for Christmas.

I was recently blessed with being able to buy a home and wanted tools to do basic maintenance, repairs and some DYI projects so I purchased this 4 piece combo set for around $300. It wasn’t long before I put every piece of this set to work! A fun repair I did with my uncle was removing and repairing an exterior door.

The cordless drill made removing the screws a breeze and we were able to salvage a lot of material. The circular saw was used to cut a 4×6 post to size and make 45° degree cuts to reinforce the door.

It began to rain and the light was used to help us see in the dark cloudy weather. The reciprocal saw was used to make quick work of the old post and cut through some screws in our new post that were previously stripped out.

The set worked great and battery life was not an issue! On Father’s Day weekend my uncle and I decided to build a table using scrap lumber. The circular saw and drill were worth their weight in gold on this project and helped make some great memories.

The battery life on the circular saw was very impressive as we spent a lot of time cutting and it was strong throughout the day. My uncle is a retired carpenter and he praised the set constantly and was very impressed.

I would definitely recommend this set and plan on buying more Dewalt products soon! (That cordless Miter Saw sure would look nice in my garage!).

It was time to upgrade my dcf885 and thought well why not try out the new atomic “compact”. Was not happy with it, couldn’t really tell the difference between the dcf885 and the atomic performance wise.

It actually feels heavier and its taller and the girth is way bigger. It’s just a tiny bit shorter from the chuck to the back of the impact. One thing I noticed is that when driving a screw and the impact kicks in, well its really loud and it doesn’t sound so pretty, sounds like its working extra hard.

Also I noticed that it rattles tremendously, and in that seam where the gray area meets the yellow it shakes a lot. Definite eye sore when you’re driving a long screw and watch it rattle so much and hear the ugly impact kick in.

In Spending that amount of money I really wanted something that was worth it so I returned the atomic “compact” and just spent a few bucks more for the ole reliable dcf887 and the difference is night and day.

Just with the eye you can tell its so much faster and you can really feel the extra power in your hands. Quality impact right there. No need to sacrifice quality and power just to shave a quarter inch off.

Only thing attractive about this new impact is the wording they used “atomic” no so atomic.

I fully admit that I have always wanted to pick up some kind of sewing skills just for some basic life skills, but have never known where to start. I was so excited when I found out about the Cool Maker Stitch ‘N Style Fashion Studio Sewing Machine Toy so that I could finally learn a few things about sewing! The setup is beyond simple, literally you just need to add batteries to the machine and you’re pretty much good to begin.

I stuck to the instruction to the T because I really had no clue what I was doing. I cut out the pattern that went along with the instructions (you’re given a full piece of fabric with marked lines to show exactly where you need to cut to make 6 different included projects) and then I was off to sewing! I wish there was a little more information along the way but I quickly made 3 different projects and honestly started to feel comfortable with using this sewing machine.

Overall I wish there was more instruction on the different parts of sewing, I honestly ended the projects feeling like I could finally open my full size machine sometime without being too intimated. I hope to find more refills for the machine but definitely think this is a great learning tool for anyone looking to learn some basic hands-on sewing machine skills.

Stitchanie, our NuiMo, was especially impressed with the cute little sewing machine kit called “Stitch ‘N’ Style Fashion Studio!” Of course, she loves the name, but also, a small, working sewing machine (with a smart sensor to keep you from totally screwing it up, and a safe design so it’s impossible to see through your finger like I did in Home Ec back in the day!) is just pretty awesome.

We were able to sew a little glasses case right away, but it would be nice if they gave you some practice scraps to try on first. (We’re pretty new at sewing). The little Hydro-Stickers (like temporary tattoos for fabric!) you use to decorate were the best part, though.

We love the little sponge you dab the designs with. The only problem is that while I understand the benefit of being able to wash them out and start again, we like ours and want them to stay. So maybe we’ll try a little Mod-Podge? Anyway, a very fun product and we look forward to making the other enclosed projects and then experimenting with our own.

As of right now i have 77 cordless dewalt tools and 23 batteries, so please spare me the simpleton junk of somehow im doing something wrong because Im not, i know tools and this is either a defective unit or a poor design.

I bought brand new and when using today for the first time, I was trying to use a hole saw to cut metal. I had the clutch in the drill mode- so clutch is turned off, I need full power. When under a load it backs itself back to number 15 on the clutch, and then begins to slip so the drilling stops.

At first I thought i bumped it, so i fiddled with it, and tried over and over and could watch it immediately slip back to 15 and the clutch would stop the drilling. I got my hole drilled, but had to hold the clutch with one hand and drill with the other.

I will be contacting the warranty department, but I expect some results here, I dont have time to buy tools that do not carry out the single function they were built for – a drill should be expected to drill.

If I wanted a drill that makes a better hammer than a drill, Im sure there are plenty at harbor freight. And dewalt doesnt need to ask so many questions at the end of the review, if you have extra time make sure that tools function as one would expect.

Wow, what a nice drill /driver. I have used DeWalt drills going back to the 12 volt days. They were good divers and still functional. That said, this drill blows them all away. Its small in size, easy to use, has more power and longer battery life, all at 1/2 the weight.

Im sold. Im giving away all my older 12 and 18 volt drills and switching over to these drills. Now that Im older and my strength leaving me, I appreciate the smaller size but particularly this drills light weight.

Its simply a tool I use a lot like a trusted friend. In fact I like so well I just bought 2 more 791B drills. I also like the added led that illuminates your work. These drills are getting smaller, lighter and more powerful each year.

If you are hesitating on this purchase, dont! Just buy and enjoy !.

My last drill died after only 2 years. This is the second DeWalt drill I have purchased, the first was an impact driver and my only complaint is I wish I had just purchased a set which would have included a drill driver as well.

The battery removal and replacement is super easy, not like the aforementioned Milwaukee that only lasted a little over two years, I found removing the Milwaukee battery very difficult. I am switching over to DeWalt as my go to brand.

The silhouette cameo 4 plus is a beautiful machine, but also has been incredibly irritating to troubleshoot. It is infamous for having trouble detecting the lineup markers. There’s forums upon forums of people who have gotten pretty much 0 response from silhouette america.

The machine itself has a lot of great features and it cuts great. It is better than cricut in a lot of ways, but the problem is, it is so hard to use half the time I almost regret buying it. I chalk most of this up to silhouette go being not getting the work it needs.

It has a lot of issues, such as color will not print accurately as long as you use silhouette go. not using silhouette go to print means you have to buy a pix scan mat and every time you need to print and cut you have to take a photo or scan your work before and send it to silhouette go.

this is great except it has trouble reading anything with a glare if you use a phone or tablet to take a photo of it. this includes laminate for stickers and anything else shiny or not matte. the whole process is really excessive.

This isn’t accounting for trying to get the finicky bluetooth working or having to realign because the cut is off (literally out of the box). for the price of this machine it should be easy to use. however, this is not JOANN stores fault, just silhouette america.

so overall, it is a nice, good looking machine, but the process of cutting takes longer than just cutting them by hand.

I’d rate more like a 3. 75. I’ve been disappointed that no Quick Start physical booklet was enclosed with machine, rather I have to access all info online which can be troublesome with limited wifi in the mountains.

Also have purchased other blades as autoblade is lacking in ability to thoroughly cut matte vinyl. haven’t tried it on anything else but if matte doesn’t get a clean cut set at 6 with a 20 force, I doubt a thicker material would work either.

That said, I’m relatively patient and have self taught many editing and sketch programs so I’m learning slowly and with additional $$ expense. Determination and perseverance.

Coming from the Cricut platform, this machine is certainly not quality. It’s VERY VERY loud. So, prepare yourself to not be able to hear yourself think if you are working next to this thing. Also, if you are getting this to utilize the ‘cut from the roller’ feature, be prepared to sporadically lose yards and yards of your vinyl if you plan on cutting longer than 2 feet.

The vinyl will get dragged and pulled and it will shift if you take your eye off of it. Another gripe. if you like using Bluetooth to connect to your device, good luck with this one. Just like cutting from the roll, it’ll work sporadically.

I think the max reach is 10ft and even if you are within 10ft, there’s a high chance you’ll lose your Bluetooth connection and your machine will stop cutting half way through (more loss vinyl). OH, and lastly, if you you leave your screen on the cut screen for a prolonged time, the program crashes and requires you to force quit.

Other than that, when the machine works, it is a dream come true. I would return the thing if it wasn’t for me having to pay to reship and this whole C19 pandemic.

I purchased mine for those tight places you need to drill or screw. Has worked perfectly every time. Very handy when installing trim screws in one inch baseboard or installing solid hickory steps working between the steps or screwing down wood flooring along the wall (hiding screws under the baseboard).

Essentially any tight space. I have used with both drill and impact drills without any issue.

This is a great little tool. I do a fair amount of work inside RVs and everything is cramped when working in them. This attachment to my impact driver works like a charm, whether drilling with hex shaft drill bits or any of the required drivers it appears to be flawless.

Smooth operation and very easy to use. I haven’t had any issues at all with it at this point.

I bought this right angle attachment to allow me to secure deck balusters after the fact and it made the job extremely simple! The attachment is very low profile so there was no issues squeezing in between the ballusters.

The design is great because the black extension can be removed making this tool even shorter than in the image, and it also comes with a small handle you can screw into the sides for better control. The only issue I found with this attachment was that the head rotates very easily making it hard to control in awkward positions – I think an additional handle like the Milwaukee 49-22-8510 would have made the design perfect.

Im very impressed with the dial clutch. The DCF680 is quite powerful for a screwdriver so the clutch almost seems necessary for light duty projects. Bicycle assembly and furniture assembly is made a breeze with this tool.

Dont even think about it, just buy it, you wont regret it for a moment. This tool exists head and shoulders above its competition.

IšverstiShow in original languageI was about to buy the homeowner $32 Black & Decker Lithium ion screwdriver – but at the last minute, I stumbled upon this “pro” tool. There are a few things about the DeWalt gyroscopic screwdriver that made me spend the more money than I had planned.

1. Hands down, the gyroscopic feature is extremely easy to use and a very convenient way to work. I had no trouble getting used to it as it is intuitive (right turn to tight, left to loosen). You can really control the speed just by lightly turning the handle (once you’re used to the tool, you can have the bit turn extremely slow which is very useful).

2. The tool has an LED light which is activated when you use the tool and lasts 20 seconds after you stop. Most of the time the built in flashlight eliminates the need for a second flashlight in your toolbag.

3. The tool has a clutch. Useful when screwing into more delicate items. 4. The handle can be set straight or pistol grip. On a lot of spur of the moment uses – you never know which position is going to be more comfortable – and its nice to have this option.

5. Lithium ion battery means longer shelf life. As a homeowner mine will sit unused for a month – and then put to use. Li batteries don’t loose their charge as easily as Ni-cad. So if sitting for 3 months andits needed – there is a great chance the Li battery is still good to go.

6. Well built. This thing looks like it could take a drop, and then some. 7. The tool comes with a snap on (removable) bit carrier that works well. I leave one in the chuck, then two other bit options in the carrier.

For the Cons – there are only two. 8. One 8v Lithium Ion battery with this refurb kit might be a problem for some who need longer periods of use to go uninterrupted. Not me – as a homeowner the single battery is probably all I ever need.

9. When purchasing this refurbished tool – I had hoped this may be a “like new” tool that the seller might be branding “refurbished” so as to get around min advertised pricing rules. Nope. This tool did have some very light wear marks – and the body has a very noticeable “R” (assume for “refurbished) heat etched into it (see attached photo of mine, just behind the clutch ring).

No big deal for me, as the tool seems to work perfectly. I am concerned the batter might empty quicker than a new one, but so far, so good. 10. Last but not least – the lower price from CPO. This reconditioned tool was approx 63 dollars – compared to 89 dollars plus tax for a two battery kit on the “big A” website.

So I saved 32 dollars over that lowest price (again not getting the second battery and putting up with the “R” etching). Again – perfect for me who will only use this awesome tool here and there at home.

If I was using this for work – I’d have probably bought the new one because of the need for a second battery.

While its auto-focusing and image quality aren’t the best out there, the 1080p resolution proved to be a decent balance between clarity and not putting too much strain on the internet capacity. The compact design makes it really easy to stow away everyday and quickly prop up when needed.

A downside to its form factor though is the inability to horizontally tilt the camera, which in my case often means I need to swivel my entire monitor to get the desired horizontal angle. A detachable cable would also have been nice: that way I can keep the usb end plugged-in at all times and only set up the camera part when needed, instead of digging into the back of my PC to unplug the usb everytime I want to put the camera away (I could of course just leave it there, but something about that webcam sitting on top of a perfectly neat and rectangular monitor when not in use, just makes it stick out as an eye sore.

It’s pure placebo/OCD but I’m sure this applies to many others out there). The cable is a bit of a chore in my use case. From my admittedly non-expert experience, the logitech in-house software (called LogiCapture or something like that) is pretty simple to navigate and has useful functions, HOWEVER the software becomes recognised by the PC as sort of a virtual camera as its own entity and can easily make your browser/meeting software confused and unable to access actual footage.

So it takes some effort to understand the technical arrangements arround that IF you choose to use the software which, as mentioned, has some useful extra features like exposure or image size adjustment.

Overall though, it’s quite handy for its price, especially for someone like me who has occasions that absolutely requires a webcam yet do not need it everyday hence justifying a higher price investment.

Ive been using the older model the C920 for a couple years and it has served me well during that time. However, I needed to replace it because its starting to behave somewhat erratically and the C922 was at the top of my list.

The C922 has a 6 USB cord and comes with a mini 8 tripod and 3 month Twitch subscription good through the end of 2017. The camera has the same footprint as the previous C920 measuring 4 across, 1. 5 high, and 3 long.

On the front is the 1080p HD lens and on the sides are the builtin stereo mic. The status LED on the sides are white instead of the blue and cannot be disabled as on the previous model. On the bottom theres a 14 thread mounting hole for standard tripod mounting and the base splits open so that you can place the webcam over the top of a monitor or laptop screen.

The microphone was comparable to the C920 builtin mic but was somewhat quieter even though it seemed to filter out more background noise. At 1080p resolution, the max frame rate is 30fps, but at 720p you can go up to 60 fps, which is a new feature for this camera.

The autofocus is speedy and the auto brightness does a nice job keeping the brightness constant if light levels change. The focusing time is slightly quicker than the C920s performance, and there is little to no latency that I noticed in the recordings.

The colors appear more saturated and sharper than the C920 which tended to produce video that was washed out and had softer edges in the same recording conditions. I did try to test out the automatic background removal with Personify Chromacam, but unfortunately I never got it to work properly with OBS on my Windows 10 system.

It worked once, and during that test I was able to somewhat replace the background in my video with a green screen, but it wasnt entirely accurate and sometimes it removed my hair or didnt remove part of the chair if I moved around enough the entire screen would go to green screen.

After that one time Chromacam just kept crashing OBS when I opened it. I cant recommend the camera for that particular feature based on my experience with the camerasoftware. Im sure future update will fix this, since Ive been reading online, for now, the software is just really buggy and unreliable.

For me, its not a big deal since Im not a gamer and I wasnt really planning on using the feature for anything in particular. Overall, the C922 is a solid webcam and the video performance is slightly better than the C920.

If youre happy with your C920 and dont need a new webcam, I think you can skip this model upgrade. However, if youre definitely looking to get a new camera with clear and crisp video, Id pick the C922 over the C920.

I tell him for Cumstomer Services Logitech 4K quality but he oders wrong staff and Moving my head slightly forward or backwards where the screen will change the lighting on my face EVER so slightly will cause the webcam to autoadjust the lighting of the whole image very drastically.

It almost looks like a lightning show. So dont move too much if your whole cam view isnt superevenly well lit. I put away my 2 studio lights to reduce the overwhelming light while gaming and streaming since I put away my green screen and bought a big light ring instead.

I have to put the light on the nearlowest setting or else my face is just a white spot. I wanted to use the background blur feature from chroma cam cause it was a listed feature The C922 can do it but apparently the Brio dropped support for it.

You can use the autobackground removal in Streamyard or OBS but you wont be able to change any settings and its pretty bad unless the whole image is completely well lit. The C922 will let you choose many settings though and has proper chroma cam support.

There is a setting that is on by default and is automatically set back on every time you reboot. It is called Low light compensation. You probably want to disable this because you will either be well lit and not need it, or be partially well lit and your cam will drop to 5 fps at times.

This setting cannot be disabled from the logitech webcam software. Youll have to access the webcam settings through thirdparty software streamyard OBS or an older version of the logitech webcam software.

Make sure you only have 1 cam installed or you wont be able to access the Brios settings. I was using 2 cams and the older software could only see my old cam until I uninstalled it completely. If you want to change the setting, just use Streamyard,add a video capture device source, select brio and then click properties Change video settings on the source and it will popup some extra settings for your webcam.

A lot of the options you wont want to touch as when you manually move them, none of the values on the slider will actually be close to what the auto option does.

I look at this particular Leatherman as the “Wave-Light” — which is actually perfect for me. I do own a Wave and others as well. You lose two of the exterior blades (the saw and serrated knife), but gain a lighter and more pocketable device which I prefer.

It comes with the pocket clip attached, unlike the Wave, and actually carries surprisingly well in the pocket. The interior tools are identical aside from the inclusion of an Awl instead of the Micro-Driver (I personally find the Awl more useful and really appreciate this).

You should note that the interior tools are not fully “locking” like they are on the Wave, but the slip-joint “snap” is quite strong and I don’t mind this, because the main knife still has a full liner-lock.

I also presume this helps with achieving the slimmer and lighter profile of the Curl which is important to me. All this said, the first one I purchased from REI had a factory bizarre defect. The large fixed flat driver / pry tool was literally un-machined at all into the tool, as if it just never got shaped or ground at the factory and they just stuck a random rectangular bar of steel into it with a blunt cut off tip.

I sent photos to Leatherman, and to their credit they responded very quickly and agreed it was a factory defect, and to REI’s credit, they replaced it with a new one the next day no questions asked. The new one seems flawless in construction, so I’m happy.

All in all, I own a lot of Leatherman tools and this is now my go-to EDC version because I feel like I get the same familiar quality and tools as the Wave but in a more pocketable setup.

I’ve owned several Leatherman multi-tools (and others from Victorinox and Gerber). The Super Tool 300 and the Surge are my absolute favorites. Not only because I’m a big guy, with large hands, and the full size of the Super Tool and Surge just fit me better, but the tools on those are larger as well and seem better built, thicker, and durable.

Additionally, with the Super Tool here, there’s the fact that it offers solid, dependable tools, with no tiny bits or attachments to lose, misplace, or which might spring apart and unattached. Basic, fixed tools, which will accomplish just about any task you can offer up.

I’ve carried a Super Tool for longer than I care to admit, even carrying it when I was in the USMC and when I was in law enforcement. It’s still attached to my hip to this day, still serving me faithfully.

I only recently picked up a new version because I donated my old one to a young fella who needed it. You can’t go wrong here. And, at least at the time of this writing, if you pick this up from Ace it comes with a very well made leather sheath (made in Mexico, but of great quality – like those black leather sheaths which come with a Buck 110, 119, 120, etc.

), something you won’t get from that Amaz place or even direct from Leatherman (it costs extra). It was a nice surprise to order online, then pick this up in store and find that nice leather sheath along with my shiny new ST 300.

Don’t pass this one up.

On the plus side, the Bond’s tools are of great quality. It’s compact, light and probably UK legal, making a great pocket carry if you have the pocket clip. The simple sheath and large lanyard loop are great for watersports.

Unfortunately the body of the Bond is low quality and poorly engineered, compared to other Leatherman models. All the bolts on mine have been overtightened so much that it was virtually unusable out of the box.

Oiling and working the joints helps a bit, but it’s very hard to open and close the pliers and most of the tools. There is play in the plier handles when they’re closed. Feels like it’s going to bend or break when using it as a screwdriver with the plier handles closed.

How the pliers manage to be wobbly and overly stiff at the same time is beyond me. When using the pliers, the exposed edge of the file forms part of the handle, but it’s sharp and rough against your hand.

The file has a nail slot to pull it out with, but this is completely unnecessary and just limits the usability of the file. I realise that this is a “cheap” Leatherman, but I’d rather pay a bit more for a UK legal carry multitool with the same amazing quality as my Charge Plus.

My PST is 30 years old and has none of the above problems.

I have owned 2 cutters in the past. The wishblade and the eclips. This was easy peasy set up with flawless cutting. Michaels customer service was fantastic. My sales rep was Maria in the Cambridge MA store and she was fabulous! No they don’t put returns back on the shelf.

They send them back to the manufacturer who gives them full credit. My machine was spanky brand new and everything worked right out of the box. You need to know how to use a computer, download files and have a basic understanding of how software works.

I followed the online videos and had my machine going in about 20-30 minutes. Don’t do it with out first following the directions online. I will learn the basics then try the more complicated. The noise is not whisper quiet but maybe a bit louder than a noisey printer? Its a tad bit quieter tham my Eclips and doesn’t bother me at all.

Get this machine at Michaels! They are great with customer service and if the machine doesn’t work return it for a free refund but save that receipt. Hope this helps!.

Cameo 4 pro owner here. I have so far had the best and Worst customer service experience. Until the moment they got my machine (nearly 2 months after me ruining close to 50’ of vinyl and testing my butt off thinking it was me).

I was told if i “deposited” $500ish theyd send me a new machine before they received my machine. I dont have that much after spending $100s of vinyl and subscriptions to their MONEY GRAB company. They get my machine and tell me it will be 2-4 weeks before they either fix my machine or send a new one and REFUSE to just send me a new one.

Dont waste your time or money with this company. SVG files shouldnt cost money. Trust me you can create your own files or find free ones on the Internet with a little bit of effort. Also subscribing to their club is pointless because the amount of money you spend would pay for the “free gifts “that you receive as being part of the club.

Fonts are available on several websites 100% free for personal use. Please dont waste your money.

This is my second Cameo. I bought the 4 as an upgrade from my original Cameo for paper crafting and the occasional vinyl project. The 4 is a complete frustration. It cuts poorly. Maybe it’s the new auto blades.

Maybe it’s the machine. Whether using the auto cut or the manual cut options (where you select the depth, speed and multicut options), the machine will not give me a through and through cut. With a new blade, I can send a cut file 4 or more times (usually more!!) increasing the depth each time and the machine will not cut through card stock.

In most cases the back of the card stock is barely scored or not scored at all after many cuts. I’m wasting hours and paper recutting and then hand cutting with an exacto knife. This was an expensive purchase.

I don’t understand how the 4th generation can be less reliable than the 1st. I cannot recommend this machine.

I built a She Shed for Girlfriend to store lots of junk(?). I have never built anything before, I joke I took “handyman” out of my spell checker I am so bad. At start I made one cut with a hand circular saw and I could see even that simple cut wasn’t really square.

Decided I needed a fixed saw and so I purchased this miter saw. After making just a couple of cuts and knowing they were square and clean I could literally feel confident that I actually could build her a nice She Shed.

I built it in my garage initially and then took it apart in base and four walls and friend helped me transport and reassemble on post supports to match deck on house. I am really amazed at how well it turned out and the girlfriend is really happy that she now has a place to store all of her valuable(?) items in.

There were cheaper saws at Lowe’s but I just liked the look and feel of the DeWalt and I already had several other excellent DeWalt tools so I spent the extra money to make sure I had a good quality tool.

It was definitely money well spent!.

I bought it at Amazon on sale for under $200, using my “credit” built up, I paid just $27. 69 So, the saw cuts perfectly for my home projects, nice square cuts EVERY TIME. Only small feature that I would’ve love to have is the adjustable cut depth, since my “cheap” table saw don’t have dado blade provision.

Regardless of this shortcoming, I recommend this saw for basic wood working projects for beginner like myself. Cuts through 4″×4″ like “butter” Built my 1st woodworking table using mostly this saw and I think it came out great for a 1st time build.

Sure, this model is outdated and discontinued but, it still cuts great, that’s what the saw supposed to do, right?.

This is a great DeWalt saw. I used one once when the contractor working next door had this same (or very similar saw) and I needed to make some cuts that required a saw larger than my 10-inch saw. Well, my 23-year-old saw finally gave up the ghost and I seized on the opportunity to buy this saw.

I have done only some minor stuff so far but this is every bit the saw I used a couple years ago and enjoyed using.

I had a gopher to help with getting laundry out of my front loader and picking up small items. It wasn’t very strong and broke after about a month. I found out I had to have surgery that would prevent bending for 4-6 weeks, so I set out to find a better quality replacement.

The Unger Nifty Nabber is amazing. It is strong and grips items securely. I like the magnets. They really do pick up small metal objects that you wouldn’t be able to retrieve that easily. It took some practice to use it because the grabber is curved and it just felt backwards to me.

At certain angles the handle will pinch the skin on my arm. This usually happens when I’m removing laundry from the dryer. I just try to remember to not let it touch my arm, because it does hurt. I like the straight shaft on the gopher better as I find it was more natural, however the Nifty Nabbers design is stronger and grips better.

This has helped me so much after my surgery. I like it so much I will continue to use it after I’m healed.

It is pretty decent quality. Works well, better than most. The jaws can bent if you try picking up something heavy, but they are easily straightened out by hand being aluminum. The magnet is strong for its size, it picks up key rings pretty good unless you have a ton of stuff on your key ring.

I bought 2 grabbers, a 3 foot and a 4 foot. I find myself using the 3 foot one more often and I am 62 tall. The 4 foot works well for fishing stuff out of the pool the winds blew in. Like a 4×8 foot rug soaking wet.

I managed to drag it out enough to grab it my hand and pull it out. I am an aircraft mechanic by trade and know quality tools well. This pretty much met what I expected. The only improvement I would make on it is jaws made of steel so they wouldnt bent quite so easy picking up pretty heavy items.

I may just fabricate them myself. Overall 4 stars out of 5. This grabber will do almost everything you need it to do.

After my cheap Harbor Freight grabber broke I had to find another because of my bad back. I bought one of these. This Grabber cost more but is stronger and better built. Works well and does the job. Picks up smaller items and pop bottles.

It’s a keeper. The grip feels a little uncomfortable to me and maybe stick be about 5″ longer. May get another soon.

I bought this tool kit for my granddaughter and she loves it. From an early age I have always encouraged her to build and repair furniture, hang pictures, etc. This kit has all you would need for basic household repairs.

The tools are sturdy and very useful around the house. The case is compact and keeps everything in its place. I would recommend this product.

I really have enjoyed this little set. I just used the 4. 8 Volt Cordless Screwdriver to put together a bench and it made it easy for me to put together without my husband! This little set has some of those things that you always wished that you had, but they are not in other sets.

I love the carrying case, it makes it easy to transport tools to where ever you need them. Side note. I actually had to order this twice, the first time it came, the tools didn’t stay in their compartments and the small screw driver kit within the kit had a broken cover.

I just took it back to Walmart. The second kit that we got was perfect.

It is very useful and nice to have around the house. It has a lot of things that I will probably never use, but it also has almost everything I need to fix things in the house and for small projects.

The quality is great.

Id like to start of by saying that these are indeed some of the best metal shears that I have ever used, others come close but these are better. They are quite tight when you get them, meaning that they won’t open by themselves until they are broken in a bit not really an issue but something to point out.

After they loosen up a bit they easily cut through tin roofing and the like. These shears deserve 5 stars, however due to being very mislead on the description I can not issue 5 Stars. Unfortunately the description is very far off as I thought I was getting the Straight, Left and Right cut shears not just the straight ones.

I already own the straight shears and Did not need another pair, I wanted to try the left and rights but I did not receive them as stated in the description! very disappointed in that!.

This snip is what you need. Simple, straightforward, solid, reliable, and well-made. You can’t argue with it’s heritage or pedigree – Wiss snips have been at the top of the heap for many years with their timeless construction and function, and these are no different.

Sharp edges, tight pivots, a good grip, no burrs or other defects. I haven’t yet cut 8 miles of steel, so I can’t tell you they’ll hold up to years of professional use, but I don’t see these giving up any time soon.

If you are debating between these or a pair of knockoffs you’ll find from your favorite internet supplier, don’t hesitate and get these. Heck, these are probably even cheaper than the other ones and these are made in the USA.

I used these snips for the past month in my trade as an HVAC installer. The snips cut through sheet metal with ease. I cut through 30 awg panning and slips effortlessly. It had no problems cutting through the heavy steel furnace cabinet to install the return.

With these comfortable grips, I had zero hand fatigue through all of my jobs. Nice smooth cuts, both straight and curves. I highly recommend these snips.

It’s an absolute beast of a saw, and I now have six of these for my crew guys. They last forever in the harshest of conditions, they’re built like tanks and are seemingly indestructible. If there’s ever a component failure, every part – down to the tiniest screw – is available immediately, off-the-shelf.

The machine will do anything from rough crosscutting of railway sleepers, to performing perfect, delicate mitre cuts on superfine mouldings, all with total accuracy, and with full adjustability for those times when it’s been bashed about onsite for a few months and has been knocked slightly out of square.

The XPS LED light system is infinitely better than any laser line, since it shows you exactly where the outer edge of the blade tooth is going to land, and thus allows cuts which are absolutely, totally accurate.

They’re just the most robust, reliable and well-built mitre saws out there. Two major downsides, though – 1) They’re bone-crunchingly heavy. It’s the kind of machine which you want to bring to the job, get rigged up on the stand – and leave it there.

It’s absolutely NOT best suited to jobs where lots of stairs are involved, or for work in areas where there isn’t enough room to swing a cat. For small-scale 2nd fix and trim work, get yourself a 190mm Makita LS0714 instead (or ideally – as well as).

Expensive – but 100% the absolute best small mitre saw out there. And. 2) The dust extraction is absolutely hopeless, even when hooked up to an £800 M-Class Festool extractor running at maximum speed with a 36mm hose.

If you have lots of large-scale cutting to do – be prepared to stop every 10 minutes to vacuum up the vast piles of sawdust which are lathered all over the floor, the stand, and both the bed and base of the saw.

If you can live with these two downsides – it’s fabulous. If you can’t – your only realistic alternative is a Festool Kapex which is lighter and has state-of-the art dust extraction. but which also comes with a list of alternative downsides five times bigger than the above.

I’ve had many DeWalt miter saws over the years. Currently I have six in the job trailer, and others at the shop and even at home. Unfortunately this new line of DWS saws from DeWalt is a total failure.

For some reason they keep pushing to lower the weight of the saws, but I would much rather carry an extra 5 pounds and have a solid saw with a decent sized table. Out of the box the saw was fairly close, but I took my time to try and square it up.

But even though I took the time to square it up I still was not getting square cuts when cutting at an angle. It turns out, the saw base is so weak from the lack of metal that the simple act of locking the angle in will make the entire “turntable” move and then throw your cut off.

Unacceptable. I can’t have a miter saw that won’t cut accurate miters. Then there’s the table size, which has for some reason been shrunk down quite a bit from the DW716. Why would they do that? I very rarely use a material clamp, but when I do, it’s because it’s a critical cut and I don’t want my material to move.

Well the material clamp is a total joke, it is inserted into the front of the saw and has to be removed for normal cutting, which means it will get lost, or be left in the trailer and not be on-board when you need it like previous saws.

And now the biggest flaw, runout. I measured. 021” of blade runout. I buy blades that are held to less than. 001” runout, yet this saw was so poorly made that it didn’t matter what blade I used, there was huge runout.

It was so bad that the kerf was thicker where the blade entered the material because it was wobbling so bad, therefore I ended up with curved miters. This saw was a total disappointment and not a pro-level tool.

It was returned.

I needed to upgrade from my starter 10 inch Delta saw, wanting a larger capacity, double bevel, compound saw with laser. I read reviews on just about every such saw, specifically wanting laser capability.

Most reviews described less than accurate/worthless laser assistance, often requiring readjustment. Some described lasers that were only operational when the saw blade was turning (very dangerous), and some lasers that were battery operated.

Some described laser lights that were too dim to use in brighter ambient light. Some reviews described inaccurate miter/bevel settings, which would defeat the whole purpose of a mitered saw to begin with.

Some described underpowered saws that would bog down cutting 4 X 4 and larger. All of these features were unacceptable for me. So, I decided on the more expensive DW716XPS. This saw is truly a beast.

It looks, feels and operates like a professional’s tool that it is. After checking the saw blade and guides for alignment, I was delighted to see that there was no adjustment necessary. I did a couple of test cuts to determine the width of the blade cut, but found that the LED blade “light” was spot on, and MUCH more useful and accurate than a laser guide.

(This saw uses the LED to cast a shadow of the blade onto the target, and is frankly, ingenious. ) I am a frequent home improvement guy, and for me, this saw is perfect. I was reluctant initially for the cost, but in my opinion, is the best saw available.

I can highly recommend!!.

I’ve used this product since 2012 when I had my hair done by a hairdresser in Paris. She used Tecni Art on my hair and I was so impressed with the result that despite not speaking french I was able to make her understand I wished to purchase the product.

Since then I’ve been able to find it online. I find Tecni Art Web is slightly different however works just as well. You can use it to create a ‘messy’ style, smooth style and you can use it to define pieces.

It adds body and texture without weighing the hair down. A little goes a long way and therefore it lasts for ages. I’m in trouble if L’Oréal stop producing it.

If you have short to medium hair with lots of texture, this is a great finishing product. It’s not too heavy or gel-like and it’s not too light so your hair would mould into the shape you want it to.

It’s good value for money and washes out easily.
