If you keep your tools in your living room, with the heater on, and wrapped in a nice, dry, warm blanket and never use these outside I’m sure they will be fine.

I thought this was a very good price on a quality brand. I have since used them to place and remove o-rings as well as pry out some rusty piston rings. No bending, no dulled ends. I’d buy another set in a heartbeat.

One of the best kits for precision work. Was in the market to getting a tri-tip screw bit to work on some game boy advance cartridges. Decided to give this kit a try after hearing all the rave reviews and it sure lives up to it’s reputation! The case is made from high quality plastic that has strong magnets that keep the top and bottom portions together.

(It’s easy to open on that note as well) The high density foam keep all the bits neatly organized and it even has little imprints on it telling you which bit belongs in the slot. It can be a little hard to read if you have trouble seeing up close.

The screw body itself is nicely weighed and makes it a breeze screwing and unscrewing smaller screws and such. Haven’t had any issues tackling any of the jobs I put it through. No bending or deforming the bits.

It’s got pretty much all the bits in their shapes and sizes for any small job task you throw at it. I feel like this will continue to serve me for a very long time. I would venture to say it might be a ‘buy it for life’ type of product!.

I’m giving it five stars, but it’s not perfect. My IT office uses this and it’s overkill for us. The driver is very nice, it’s better than most tools I own. The case is magnetic which is amazing. The extension is very durable and can be used for anything where you need a little bit of a reach.

Expensive set of hex keys but well worth the money if using them regularly. I have other cheaper sets that are OK but some started to round off bolt heads. With this set you feel the total engagement of the tool within the bolt head and they do not slip.

The spinner is really useful when loosening and tightening easy to access bolts. The wall mounted storage rack is very handy too. All round great set of tools.

Buying these felt like a bit of an indulgence but as someone setting up a professional workshop they were recommended as a must have tool by the highly experienced mechanics who trained me. They are the best thought through set of allen / hex keys you can buy and the only ones (that I could find) that have a stripped bolt remover (the USAG may be the choice of ferrari and ducati but they don’t have this).

The mount has a tactile covering and angles the tools perfectly for picking them up. The sliding head is great for getting in to tricky spots and the barrel makes threading bolts in a doddle. I keep the park three point keys in my apron for convenience but I use these most of the time.

I have purchased these lead test kits multiple times before from a different vendor, and they had always worked really well for us. However, this time the product is having a difficult time mixing the chemicals when you break the inner tubes, and it’s difficult to get the solution down to the test sponge.

I’m not sure if this is a bad batch or what – but unfortunately they are very expensive to not work well. Normally a good product.

I bought a two pack and was not able to use either swab. The liquid did not go into the swab completely and did not work on the test circles. I wonder whether these swabs are subject to age. This is one of the few EPA recommended lead tests, but given their price I feel they should be more reliable.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do at this point. I’m hesitant to buy another set when the first two I tried didn’t work.

I bought 3M LeadCheck Swabs to see how well they worked. I knew the surfaces tested were painted prior to 1978 when paint contained lead, I was blown away at how quickly the swabs turned red to indicate the presence of lead.

As a cross check Newer Surfaces painted after 1978 tested negative. Package directions easy to follow.

Quality is great, mobility is better than I expected and the colors are good enough that a topcoat can be enough without further painting if you’re lazy (like me)

I initially thought I should buy a more fancier chain breaker tool from Park Tools and another brand before buying the CT-5. I’m glad I followed my instinct and bought it as opposed to the more expensive versions.

I’m not a mechanic or owner of a bike shop. If you break chains every hour it would make your life easier to buy a more expensive chain breaker. This tool is for those who rarely replace their chains, once in a while.

It does the job very well if you are replacing your chain on your own. It was simple, it came with an instruction. You can use it to plug shimano style chains. Very happy with this little tool.

Purchased the Park Tool CT-5 mini chain tool to break & resize a new Shimano chain for my road bike. As my experience has been with other Park Tools, this US made tool effectively does what it was designed to do and there are instructions included in the package as well as online for guidance.

Park Tool even makes replaceable pins when/if you need them. A quality made tool that comes with a lifetime warranty.

Purchased this to install a new chain on a fixed gear bike. Had no problems using it and REI was the only local shop carrying a chain breaker tool. Not sure how different a full size tool would be. I thought it was rather simple breaking a chain with this tool and it’s small enough to fit into my bike tool kit.

These pliers aren’t strictly for working with threaded pipe and fittings, and are mostly an all around plier which I use basically as my strong hand. I’m a commercial plumber and these are on me from start to end of shift, every single day.

Channel lock pliers ARE better for working only with pipe, but I’d rather have these if I could only have one pair.

I’m a master plumber and I use my slip joint pliers a lot. They have become a plumbers extension of our hands. I own a lot of Milwaukee products and have been pleased with everything except these. The pliers seem to slip on pipe while tightening.

The grooves seem not to line the jaws up for iron pipe sizes for proper grip. The handles are either too apart or too close to grip. I think some adjustments are required for plumbing use.

I love my Milwaukee tools but not these. I do HVAC and plumbing for a living so I use these for all my black pipe. They will not grip anything that doesn’t have flat surfaces. So trying to tighten or loosen black pipe is pointless.

Milwaukee tools you have greatly let me down with these.

I’ve bought cheap and they are just that. I’ve used expensive they’re good but expensive. These aren’t cheap but very good value for the money and every bit as good as the expensive ones. I’d recommend them and I’d by Milwaukee kit again.

The reliability score, I’ve had them a week they look strong and have worked well under strain, but only time can answer that one.

I work mainly with 3/8″ pipe on fire suppression systems. I have found that they do not grip the pipe as good as I would have expected. I am continuing to use brand-x. The adjustment button also sticks out a lot getting into the way.

On the good side they grip nuts, bolts, and anything else that is not round extremely well. Also, I really like the exposed handle ends for reaming and knockouts.

To the credit of Hardware and Tool, I was reimbursed for this Martin House pole. It was intended to telescope down to an elevation which enables the human “landlord” to maintain the house, a critical part of caring for martins.

The 2nd and 3rd poles barely fit together, much less telescope. The product is so bad that Heath discontinued selling it. To make matters worse, they do not offer an alternative for a house that costs ~$200.

I engineered a usable system, so now look forward to getting some purple martins.

First pair is about 25 years old. It’s dulled from all the stuff cut over this years though not abused. This newer leverage point makes cutting much nicer. Had pulled trim off for a floor replacement and some of the 18 ga.

brad nails along with other finish nails were refusing to come out with the pry bars. These cut through them easily. Hands still hurt after a couple hours from this task but much easier with these. Next time I get some young kid to cut the nails down.

hot garbage. edges are easily sharp enough to draw blood, and not the cutting edges. Ground surfaces are rough enough to use as a file. hinge is way too tight, need 3 fingers to open them up, might as well use both hands.

The pile of pliers on the bottom shelf of HF have superior finishing. I was hoping for something in between german made and chinese junk, instead got hot garbage at middle of the road price.

Definately works. Like all new tools there is a learning curve. On very flexible cables or cables previously installed with a bend or kink at the end of the cable, will have to hand place/feed cable into jaws.

Can be used to tighten or loosen cable. Make sure locking-cam is rotated into place. Will need to tighten the brake cable clamping bolt in between when running-out of travel adjustment on tool. To loosen need to manually release locking-cam and slowly release hand and “re-engage” locking-cam.

For tightening locking-cam self-locks as the lever is squeezed as long as cam is in position. I also use a soft-jawed trigger clamping bar to keep brake caliper in place while adjusting brake cable. Ordered a vintage spring steel third-hand brake caliper clamp when I saw another biking enthusiast using one to adjust brakes.

(Don’t know why they no longer make them, since the coiled spring “third-hand” only works on narrow brakes. ) FYI, the third hand brake caliper clamp is why this tool is called a “fourth” hand. Wanted to give this tool 3-1/2 stars, but no half stars.

If there were a feature to keep cable in the jaw, tool would be nearly perfect. Addition of a bent up finger tab and light spring to keep locking-cam engaged along with cable keep feature for jaw would maketool perfect.

Thanks Pedro! I purchased a ‘cheaper’ cable puller to set the cables on a road bike I’m building and found out right away why they are cheaper. Its the thickness of the working parts. When you slip the cheaper one in place and pull on the cable, the thinner metal pushing against the cable allows the cable to ‘accidentally’ wedge behind it.

Now the work really begins! you have to get the puller off the wedged in cable! If you are really looking for a good cable puller that doesn’t cause problems, start with Pedro’s and not the cheaper imitation knock off.

Its well worth the extra and you can use it for what it’s intended without incident.

Although it looks very similar to the $9. 99 copies, they are not comparable. The jaws on the Pedro’s tool are stamped from thicker steel, and the tolerances are tighter. This is what is lacking on the cheap version, in which there is enough slack between the jaws and body of the pliers that it will allow the cable to slide between, bruising the cable.

The damage that causes will be apparent when you go to cut the end off, and the wire will already be un twisted, making it difficult to impossible to crimp the end cap on. TL:DR, do your self a favor and get these the first time.

Well, this is my third iFixIt kit and everything I can say, it is really the most complete kit of screwdrivers I and my dad, grandpa or anyone from my family ever had. I like everything in it, the screwdriver handles are fantastic, the big one is very grippy, it’s big and has nice tactile feelings.

As of the small screwdriver, it’s also grippy, with nice tactile feelings and overall both of them are great drivers to have. Bits are from S2 steel and some of them are Chrome-Vanadium ones, the are very high quality, and they definitely not going to worn off any time soon.

I was looking for the best set of bit drivers I could find for my RC Tank hobby, due to the different types of fasteners used on them. This fit the bill perfectly, the drivers were very high quality which caught me off guard.

The diversity of bits in this kit are amazing, it had me researching different fasteners because some of the bits in this kit I have never seen before. So far I have used this kit for two PC builds and various other tasks outside the main purpose.

I have been telling all my family and friends about how well made these kits are made and seem like they would last a lifetime if properly taken care of. So if you are reading through reviews to make your determination in purchasing this kit, I would highly suggest that you pull the trigger.

Took looked well made. Description was fits specialised chain ring. It dose not fit the Turbo Levo chain ring.

Necessary tool to remove drive chain ring on Shimano E7000, E8000 & EP800. Chain Ring needs to be removed to check torque of all motor mounts bolts on drive side of motor. Every Shimano e-rider needs one.

Good quality but way overpriced. After purchase found an alternative for 15 so paid far too much. It seems strange that the item I bought it for cost 21 (genuine Shimano) and a tool to change said part cost 8 more.

I go through about 4-5 of these each year. As a shell-carver, I use them for work. This model is the most useful to me. However, I’m so sick to death of the inconsistent quality of Drexel. Maybe 1 in 3 will work exactly as it should when it comes out of the box.

The one I just bought is among the other 2/3 — I think, finally, today, I have everything tightened/loosened enough to work at full speed — but I’m pretty sure one of the wires is loose inside. I don’t want to open it up yet.

Its a remake of the first model that Dremel made famous 50+ years ago. Dremel makes a version with every new product release, just renaming it, but it has all the same parts design. The simplest model has the least problems with durability proven over half a century.

Models that have built in speed control tend to overheat the controller, damaging it and its electronics; the longer you use it the more likely it can happen. If you need speed control, get a Chinese copy of a benchtop Staco variac: they are most heavy duty, and more than rated for this tool; it will reduce input voltage and thus, speed, without overheating itself or the drill, and again a simple design, variacs will last a lifetime.

You can also get a triac light dimmer, but variacs are built like tanks. Dremels were designed for fine handcrafting work: modellers, electronics, jewelry etc. , not home furniture, plumbing or motor repairs.

Thus, the power of the original is more than adequate for that.

My first pair of these lasted me 3 years of consistent, easy stripping. I was able to cut bundles of number 10 wire all the time with these so I’m not sure what the other reviewers are talking about with the cutters being weak.

I would say however that you can’t use them to cut BX or you will mess up the cutters. Perfect needle nose as well. So much better than the Klein strippers with the awful end nose. Light weight and fits small hands with comfort grips that aren’t massive.

The spring was always strong and never broke or fell out on me. The lock is placed in such a way that accidental locking is almost impossible. But one handed locking is easy as pie. I will say they are a brittle metal which is fine; I broke mine dropping them from a 8’ height but I suspect years of that led to them breaking on me.

In conclusion I own 3 of them and will continue to pick them up in case Milwaukee decides to discontinue them or change them.

I’ve had these pliers for almost 6 months now and they work as well as they did from day 1. Nearly no signs of wear! For stripping and everything electrical with it, they work as well if not better than the counterparts from Klein tools.

Only thing I noticed Klein has over these is the ergonomics of the grips. Which for me is just being knitpicky. It’s only a small tradeoff to the price I pay for the Milwaukee The grips have still yet to even budge a millimeter off these pliers.

Where as my old Kleins slipped right off after 6 months. After I repaired them, they came off again after another 3 months. All in all, I’m pretty happy with the these so far. They get the job done just as well and the best part is they only cost just over half of what similar premium pliers sell for.

Another solid product from Milwaukee!.

I first bought a pair of these strippers a year ago now. I purchased them during a holiday sale. I couldn’t justify the almost $35, so when I seen them for $25 I thought I should give them a shot. I’m a journeyman electrician that manly installs PV systems.

So I’ve use these every day but sundays for the past year. It took about a week to fall in love, now no other strippers compare. But I wasn’t the only to fall in love, my boss, a 20 year master and also the whole crew did as well.

There the only strippers you find in our pouches. They have held up great! I cut up to #6 solid copper with ease, if you go bigger you’ll nick your cutting edge. The bare mettle is just now starting to rust some, also last week I noticed one of the grips began to slip some.

Even tho I cut a live circuit and welded on them they are still as smooth and tight as the day I bought them. The red handles have worn well and developed a patina. Much like a pair of old channel locks.

Well worth the money and would buy them time and time again.

Who says you have to be a linemen to use these? They work great for cutting zip ties wires and anything else you can throw at it. They also have grabbing capability so you can use them as regular pliers in most applications and they have an insane amount of leverage so whatever your grabbing onto will not slip which is also due to the little teeth integrated into the jaws! They also have crimpers on them you don’t have to only use them for that purpose though they can be used to smash your nuts! (Walnuts) The handles are very comfortable and easy on the hands.

I love everything about these pliers I recommend them to anyone because they can do so many different things!.

Very good grip in the jaws and seem to be well made. I suspect that Milwaukee took inspiration from the SnapOn Linemans when they produced these because they share many similarities. The Milwaukees have more flex in the grip, but they are a fraction of the cost.

These are nice lineman’s pliers for daily use. They handles are comfortable and they feel like they will last for a longtime. They are a little on the heavy side, but very easy to operate.

They work very well. They come with spare screws to hold the inserts; I find this a bit puzzling as the inserts are the consumables. I have yet to break a screw but have chipped inserts and had to cannibalize the insert from other holders.

It sure would be nice if Harbor Freight sold the replacement inserts. They used to come in a nice wood box, but now they come in plastic packaging. I buy extra sets just so I can get the inserts.

Nice little set of cutting tools, good price and they do just what they should! They fit and function just like the big ones, but they are sooo cute! The carbide tips are sharp and leave a good finish.

The different angles let me select the best angled cutter to use in any situation. I’d be grinding tools all day to have this variety at my fingertips. There are six tools in the package, and each tool has three cutting edges, so when one goes dull, simply remove the screw (tools included!) and rotate the carbide insert to a fresh point.

I expect these to outlast the HSS tools I’ve been playing about with by a fair margin. For the price, they can’t be beat!.

These were handy for throwing on a bar of rough stock mild steel for really basic roughing out and chamfered edges. While they have solid limited use in roughing out a project, they will not hold an edge long enough to cut threads or smooth facing.

They are appropriate for a mini lathe on softer metals. Plan on having numerous sets of indelible insert cutters on hand to always have a sharp functional tool on hand. One face, one small project, change face to new edge.

I think copper, aluminum and plastics are the best materials for these cutters. You can’t beat the price. (really! I tried). but if you are focusing on larger highly finished projects you should focus on saving your beans until you can buy the more highly specialized tools at 8-20x the price.

For the Central Machine Mini Lathe they will work fine on softer projects. Definitely four stars for that specific use.

I love the jacket! There unfortunately was a tear in the seam on the inside. I was offered to return it with a refund, but they didn’t have any more jackets left atm to exchange. I like it so much I’m just going to take it to a seamstress to fix.

I wish they would give me a partial refund though. I haven’t heard a response of this request. Overall it is a great quality, excellent fitting jacket. I got the S first, it was too big and exchanged for XS.

I bought this tool back in 2016, and it’s one of the oldest things in my toolbox. Originally bought when I was a bike mechanic, it still pulls duty working on bikes, but also around the house. I’ve found it’s perfect for assembling flat-pack furniture, as one of the three ends will fit anything I’ve encountered from IKEA or other places.

It’s not worn down any, the ends are still perfectly serviceable, with no signs of rounding over. Highly recommend this.

Got a little side to side in my 50mm deep rims; normally an easy job to fix. However, bummer, hidden nipples. So on uncovering them (after a mess of tub glue!!), I discover that no wrench, key or screwdriver in my toolkit would turn the nipples.

However, a few days wait and this Park Tool did the job lovely. Half an hour of twiddling and tub gluing and Im mobile again! Would recommend.

Simple to use, and it really works! Unfortunately, our crockpot showed definite signs of lead contamination, so it is now in the trash. The other items we tested were negative. Thirty seconds or so will tell you if your items are contaminated.

Nice to know! BTW, I tested three items so far and probably have enough of the chemical to do at least 3-4 more tests. Good value.

This kit is NOT EPA approved due to poor accuracy. It tends to give false positives, unreliable. No longer on the market.
