Save your money unless you’re into buying garbage. Plastic sheeting brook before even getting auger extended into toilet leaving sharp jagged top. Not even close to doing job.

This item works well as designed. Bear in mind, this one is only 3 feet in its travel distance. I was fortunate that it solved my relatively minor problem. If you had a problem further into the soil drain, then you’d need longer than 3 feet (and an auger with a longer reach would be more difficult to handle for someone of medium height and strength).

I would have liked the instructions to be more specific and explain that the “winding” action is for the efficient search around the innards of the drain as the bulb head moves forward. The winding action itself does NOT do the propelling forward! The propelling forward is by one’s own pushing action – and likewise, it’s one’s own strength which pulls it all out again.

So, you need the strength to wind and push, or wind and pull, simultaneously (oh! and clockwise for both forward and back, which mystified me at first, but understandable in practice).

I had a clog that was not clearing. The plunger was useless and my 3ft toilet auger wasn’t working. Usually my auger works 99% of the time but it would go in all the way with no resistance, which I suspect was because the clog was deeper.

A normal 3ft auger is only meant to reach the top of the drain. I saw a cheaper 6ft auger was sold and this one was quite a bit more expensive. Since 6ft augers are scarce I only had this choice. It was either try this, remove the toilet, or call a plumber.

Well I really hate removing toilets and the whole wax ring is just nasty sometime and a plumber would have cost double. Also this is probably what they would have used anyway. This RIGID auger is no toy, it is the real deal.

when the sales associate handed it to me I knew it was heavy duty. It was fairly easy to use for the first 3 ft, but extending it was a little awkward. After that it powered its way down and just like that the clog was gone! It came with a pamphlet that describes how you ca attach a drill to it for more power as well.

This is a great investment, I would totally spend the extra to get a 6 ft like this if you are in the market for one. You may never need the extra length but just in case it will save you big time. The only suggestion I have is to practise extending it when it is still new and clean to get the hang of it and watch the RIGID tutorial on YouTube to make sure you protect the porcelain on your toilet.

A few years ago I replaced all the toilets in my house with new low flow ones that use less water. The new toilets have been working great, except that the hole where the water goes into the pipe has an unusual shape and its very big.

The plungers I had used before do not cover the new hole, so when it got clogged, nothing worked. I went onto the internet looking for alternative solutions, like dumping a bunch of soap, or using hot water, none of that worked.

I got some billowing plungers, one had a super soaker type air compression lever, and another that said the suction cup is extra large, none of those worked. Lucky for me I have other toilets in the house to use, while I tried all these things.

I called a few plumbers asking for estimates over the phone, I was quoted $125 to $300 to unclog my toilet Then I tried this Auger, and it worked! If you get it, I’d suggest having a garbage bag handy to put the dirty coil into.

I took mine outside to clean with bleach and a garden hose, then storing it in another bag in case I need to use it again. Highly recommend.

I bought this and a fancy plunger. The plunger doesn’t work at all, but this beauty clears any clog. It is a snake for your toliet that doesn’t scratch the porcelain, as long as you follow the directions.

I will never use a plunger again for a toliet.

The toilet auger worked well and came with instructions. I was able to clear up the jam with relative ease. Saved a call to a plumber.

The crucial feature here is that the wire shaft that has to do the work starts by being withdrawn up into the pipe sheath when you pull up (away from the shaft) on the twist handle. Then the pipe goes to the bottom of the toilet, and THEN the wire is driven by hand from above, becoming a ram into the blockage.

That will frequently do the job. If not, you can start cranking, going in and out with the wire, etc. With a device where the wire does not go up and down in the pipe, but stays the same length and merely gets twisted, there is very little leverage into the jam because of the flexibility of the wire.

If just twisting from a distance gets the job done, congratulations! But it frequently won’t, and trying to drive a long wire into the block merely forces the wire into curls that don’t transmit force straight along the toilet channel.

With the auger pictured, the length of wire from the pipe to the jam is very much shorter, letting you actually push into the blockage, then go on to twist if necessary. Five minutes saved a $150 house call.

This was my last hope to unclog a slow bathroom drain before having to take the drain pipe apart. This finally unclogged the drain, had a big hair ball stuck on the cutting blade. I tried a regular auger with a spring tip and it wouldn’t get past the bends in the drain pipe.

This auger was long and thin enough to reach the clog, although I did have to get some help holding it in place when fully extended to 6 feet. If you don’t have experience using augers with a cutting blade, I would not recommend this.

I was surprised to read reviews that people had kinked the cable because this design is made to prevent that, they must have really forced it down hard to do that. I also hand cranked this to get the stubborn clog cleared out, did not want to risk using a cordless drill to turn it.

This snake will not go through older urinals with small p traps. However it will go through newer urinals like American standard with larger p traps.

Usage & What I Like: 1. ) I found that the Power Plunger is much more effective if you fill the cylinder with water. When filled with water the Power Plunger creates a hydraulic ram that quickly breaks up and clears the clog.

I found this tool to be much more effective than a traditional plunger. Worked easily on my bathroom sink which doesn’t have an over flow. 2. ) There is a small vent opening that can be used to hang the unit on peg board for storage.

What I don’t like: 1. ) This is a two handed tool in order to push and pull the piston a full stroke inside the cylinder. If you have an overflow your trying to seal using a rag with one hand it makes operating the “Power Plunger” a bit cumbersome without assistance from a helper.

In this case it would be difficult to work the Power Plunger back and forth while holding a seal on the overflow. However due to the size of the cylinder and long stroke you can push a large volume of water with one hand while holding a seal on the overflow with the other.

You can’t work the plunger back and forth single handed. 2. ) There is no easy way to store the Power Plunger as a single piece. Only one of the two adapters fits on the unit leaving the other loose.

I ended up tying the small adapter to the handle using a piece of string. It a second thread was provided the smaller second adapter could be attached to the unit for storage. Overall I am very pleased with its performance.

I then maneuvered the bell over the drain, where I P L U N G E D The result? Almost immediate drainage after a few pumps.

NOTE: Though there is a screen before the pressure chamber, chunks of detritus could still get sucked up. I recommend chambering the unit with non-filthy water for potentially easier cleanup.

I have been at war with the drain in my kitchen sink for a couple of years. I have used the crystals, without success. I have used the liquid drain openers, without success. I have even had the main drain line roto-rooted, without success.

The drain barely worked, would fill the sink up almost immediately, and after draining would “sing” a gurgling song for a few minutes! After seeing this tool and reading all the positive reviews, I decided to give it a try.

SO GLAD I DID! In my particular case, it took some work, some time, and a fair amount of muscle. Having a double sink that is interconnected, I had to get my wife to hold a sealing cap over one sink, and I wrapped the dishwasher vent in plastic to seal that off.

Then with the sink having a lot of water in it, I started pumping. I could feel the water being sucked in and pushed out of the pump. It started bringing up chunks of ugly, nasty brown crud. And the drain started to open up.

Next, I removed the plug from the other sink, turned on the water and garbage disposer (the sinks are interconnected) and started pumping in the other sink. This is when I really had to muscle it, as the pump was drawing in and pushing out a whole lot of water.

But after a couple of minutes, it suddenly went soft. That was because the drain had opened up so completely, that even with the tap wide open, the water was draining down faster than the tap could run new water! Wow, it is so awesome now.

The drain has NEVER been this clear. This tool is absolutely AMAZING!!.

I’ve used this a few times over the past month or so. I have to say the versatility of having a single item, with no drill needed, and no power cord needed. That in and of itself is VERY nice and convenient.

And on top of that, its motor slowly pushes the plug forward (and back!). Just an amazing achievement in convenience, don’t know what to say. Only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because I probably didn’t operate it the right way in the last use of it.

I guess you rarely, if ever, should push the ‘L’ or ‘R’ buttons to the ‘R’. The instructions, clearly translated from non-English, are kind of vague or imprecise in this way. The front or back buttons for what direction the plug goes, that’s fine.

It’s just the spinning direction of the plug (clockwise or counterclockwise). Apparently counterclockwise is bad, and should almost never be used. I wish that was demonstrated more or discussed more.

Online training videos of the proper use of this tool would be excellent! Aside from that, I have to say it is one of my favorite Worx tools at the moment!.

This power auger arrived just in time! We were having issues with multiple areas in our main bathroom and we did not want to pay to have a plumber come out to fix something that we knew we could fix on our own.

This auger ended up being super helpful. It was super easy to use right out of the box. We love that it is cordless and has a strong battery life. Using this cordless auger makes it so much easier to handle.

It is easy to maneuver and cleared up our issues in a very short amount of time. It is a nice size and not difficult to hold or store. Overall we have extremely pleased with this auger and would absolutely recommend it to family and friends!.

I have other Worx tools and bought this tool due to the fact that I could use the other batteries I have in case one battery is low in power. It is a little heavy but does unclogs drains. I ‘like the fact that one can automatically have the tool go forward and reverse.

I was tired of using an “accordian” plunger which retained water after use and always splashed. The ToiletShroom is cleaner, doesn’t cause a splash, and goes directly into its holder without leaking.

It was easy to use – I just followed directions. My only concern – which is slight – is that one day the head may come off and get stuck in the pipes, which may just be my own paranoia. But so far, so good, and I’m really happy with the product design and function.

I’ve tried using this 3 times. Two times it did nothing and I had to use the plunger. The 3rd time the plunger didn’t work and this thing did. However, each time it was a struggle to pull it back out of the toilet.

The handle on the end slipped off, and honestly I was afraid I was going to end up hurting myself with the amount of effort it took to pull this thing out at a 45 degree angle as per the instructions.

Who knows, maybe I’m just doing it wrong, but I will only use this when I’m desperate and nothing else has worked.

I have a standard wooden plunger with the upside down bowel shape that has served me well for several years, but when my sink backed up it was unable to get a good seal on the drain. I ended up purchasing the G T Water Master Plunger on a recommendation from a friend.

I put the plunger around the drain and proceeded to slowly push it down to ensure a tight seal. I then let up on the plunger while keeping a tight seal to let water be sucked up to pushed back down the drain.

I pushed the plunger down very quickly and water started to flow into the other side of the sink. After securing the other side of the sink I repeated the process. This time around I was able to push the water through the drain after several pumps.

The water drained out of my sink, but it did take about 15 seconds. I decided to use the plunger again for a couple more pumps then I ran water in the sink and it immediately ran through the drain. I would definitely recommend the G T Water Master Plunger for sinks, but it doesn’t work too well on low water toilets.

I used to live in a apartment with two bathrooms and of course both toilets had some serious problems. I tried to buy some products to unclog them, but it just didn’t work and the landlord didn’t seem all that worried about it unfortunately.

I pretty much had to use a plunger every time I flushed one of the toilets. My husband and I went through probably four or five of the cheap plungers with the wooden handles. Not only was the wooden handles very uncomfortable to use, but we had to push so hard to get the toilet unclogged that the handle pushed right through the rubber part and broke.

Then one day I found this plunger. I had originally missed it because it was in a different section in Walmart. This plunger was more expensive, but I was desperate to try something different. This plunger worked great! The whole thing is made out of rubber and it’s very comfortable to use.

It also didn’t take near as much work to unclog the toilet. At the bottom water does collect in it, so you have to make sure to shake it out. It’s very durable and I have been using this plunger ever since!.

I think they had the right idea with this plunger, they just didn’t see it through till the end. When you push down on this, the tip needs to form a seal or at least go down further to really be effective.

This MP100 3 doesn’t do this. It would work really great if the very bottom part sealed or was at least more pliable like the rest of the plunger. I am forever searching for the perfect plunger. With three low-flush toilets, they can get clogged fairly often if you don’t hold the handle down long enough when flushing.

Typical plungers hurt the insides of the palm of my hand because I have to push and shove so many times. This one gets a 10 score for that, but again, when I can’t get a complete seal on the bottom, it does unstick anything.

It’s too bad because I think they’re on to something here. I like the accordian thing its got going on. It makes you think, this is going to work great, it’s fitting and moving perfectly, but then in the end, it doesn’t do the job.

The plastic part sits right in the bottom of the toilet as an anchor and you use the handle to spin it. I pushed and spun it a few times and pulled it out once resistance stopped, but nothing happened.

So I tried again and as I pulled it out, THERE IT WAS!!! It totally worked!!!!! Y’all, if it can pull out a toilet paper roll holder, I believe it can fix almost any clog. Certainly worth the $6.

Like other reviewers, I bought this auger from Wal-Mart after a clogged toilet and making a nasty mess with a plunger that wasn’t doing the job. I hoped that I would have my clog out in two minutes, like other reviewers, but it wasn’t meant to be.

I twisted and turned, broke the handle and other parts of the plastic, scratched my toilet and after an hour or two pulled out a claw. Yes, an animal’s claw. At first I thought it was a stuffed animal but later pulled out what appeared to be a paw and determined that an animal was stuck in my toilet.

I eventually gave up for the night (1 am). The auger was no longer firm and was curling in on itself and wasn’t pulling anything else out. I pondered and googled and you tubed for days. I talked to family and friends about what it could possibly be and decided to replace my toilet after watching a you tube video who said this was cheaper than calling a plumber.

My 9 year old son recommend I call a “professional” in since I already broke my tool. But no, I am a do-it-yourselfer and I could do it. I purchased a second auger and went at it again and pulled out fur.

I did get some scrapes and cuts on my chest and hands from the first auger after the handle broke off when it would unwind itself and I lost my grip so beware.

I threw this tool away as I just couldn’t bare to unhook the squirrel from it, but it’s only $6 in store so I think it’s well worth it.

I have had toilet plugs/slowness periodically, never had a an auger, decided to buy one, since I have other rigid products; this Rigid Auger took me less than 10 minutes, to get the toilet flush going.

Works as other reviewers have already commented. I would recommend this to keep it handy at home/office.

This looks like a well made piece of equipment. I tried using it on 2 toilets which are of different designs and it worked on neither of them. It seemed that it just kept going upwards thereby getting lodged into the uppermost part of the bowl by the cistern, rather than following the bends.

I am not going to fault this auger completely because I have tried other augers, with the same results.

It is significanly better quality than I was expecting. The design means I can insert the ‘snake’ without damaging the porcelain. It’s length is adequate to clear the pipe to the SVP connection so should be plentry long enough.

The toilet snake was of poor quality and the handles fall off both of the the toilet snakes as the sirclips were missing. Overall these were absolutely rubbish.

I have no prior experience using a toilet auger. The biggest stumbling block for me was knowing how to get the head of the cable to begin its movement down the pipe. I wish the instructions cautioned users NOT to use sharp thrusts of the cable in and out – UNTIL AFTER the cable head has already entered into and made its way beyond the pipe opening of the toilet.

I ended up scratching off most of the porcelain close to the bottom front of the toilet pipe opening – due to user error – before I realized that I needed to lower the handle end of the Toilet Auger all the way down, so that the Guide Tube touched the front rim of the toilet bowl, in order for me to be able to turn the Crank to push the head of the auger carefully and slowly, to enable the head of the auger to approach the toilet pipe opening at the correct angle, and then be able to successfully make its entry into the pipe opening.

The auger successfully cleared the blockage using three feet of cable – while pushing the whole assembly deeper into the toilet pipe to gain another inch or two of pipe penetration. Luckily, I did not have to try using six feet of cable so I cannot rate that performance aspect of the auger.

Was a bit hesitant on the cost of this but man I don’t regret a thing after using it and get the job done. I am glad I pick up the 6ft one as after I use the first 3ft the clog is still in the pipe and the flush was not going as expected, extent the next 3ft as per instruction (great youtube video from Rigid btw) and gave it a good whirl, maelstrom !!! Be careful when pressing the bottom snap button that holds the snake wire when extended to 6ft to retract it back up, when I did so and push the handle down, it pushed the wire further down the tube and I was not able to fish it back up and had to take out the hold tubes completely and pulled the snake wire up a bit and insert it back into the holding tubes to slowly push it back up to the top snap button.

Maybe a noob operating but I don’t see a good or easy way to retract the extended 3ft back up easily. Luckily was able to pull it back up without scratching the bowl with the help of some rags in the bowl.

All in all its was a great buy and definitely much less than calling a plumber.

I had some difficulty in getting the auger out of the toilet. I had extended it the full 6 feet, but was unable to get the button to retract so I ended up having to call Customer Service. Thought there might be something I was missing.

Ended up getting the auger out, but it was still extended the 6 feet so it was a bit cumbersome. However, having said all that I was successful in unblocking the toilet. As a result of calling Customer Service I have been told I’ll receive a replacement.

Once that comes and assuming I don’t still have the same issue, I would rate this as 5 stars.

worked excellent! It did take a little bit to figure out how to snake it down the toilet, wound around on me and almost got it stuck in the base of the toilet so be careful of this. Take your time the first time you use it so you don’t damage your TB.

Once I got it where I needed it worked like a dream, and the extra 3′ extension was huge, don’t think I could have cleared what I needed to without the extra length. Last thing, when you get ready to bring in the extra 3′ feet make sure enough of the line is back up because it doesn’t click on easily and could push it all the way through the tube, then you have to pull it out of the toilet by hand- learned that the hard way also! Awesome product though, 1 try, a little hassle until I figured it out, now a wonderfully flushing toilet!! :-).

Someone told me that the tool to clear a toilet was “very expensive” and I should just hire a plumber! You can see the tool ISN’T expensive, and it worked beautifully. I watched a video on YouTube and it worked the first time, clearing a blockage that nothing else would move.

Now I can fix the toilets without the expensive plumber call. Highly recommend.

It is a strong tool capable of cleaning anything out of a toilet. It’s too big to fit down the intake hole however and did not solve the poor flush of my Briggs toilet. My problem is something other than a clog.

I ordered this Toilet Auger tool as an added capability to my tool collection. I have not used it yet, as the time has not come to use it. When the need arises (clogged Toilet), there would be a ready available tool to help.

Had a deep clog in my toilet. Plunger did not work. Hot water with detergent did not work. An old drum type auger,also did not work. Was frustrated and almost called the plumber. As a last resort. I tried the Cobra 1/2 in.

Toilet auger. After 3 passes success! In my case,the obstructing material was not extracted. It was broken up and pushed forward and cleared. The tool is very sturdy and well made. Should last for many years.

Worked really well for a clogged toilet that plunging/wire hanger/dish soap couldn’t unclog. Used this tool twice and my toilet drained! Flushed and all fixed.

The formula is good and the brush seems good but my complaint is the same as hundreds of other people have posted. It seems like the stopper at the opening of the tube isnt big enough so it doesnt wipe the mascara off the brush when you pull it out.

Its horrible. It leave like 20 applications worth of mascara on the brush where even if you try to wipe it onto the edges, which you shouldnt have to do, it still WAYYY too much!! Its a shame because everything else about this mascara rocks except that but its a deal breaker.

Luckily I haven’t needed to use it yet, but I bought it to replace the last no-good plunger I bought which I had to throw away after two uses. This is much heavier (which I find to be a good thing) than the last plunger I had.

It’s more sturdy and looks and feel like it can do the job over and over unlike the last one.

I bought this to replace the one that I had (another brand) for years. The one I had was so stiff I could barely work it. This Genuine Joe Value one is great! It is soft and bends and does the job without a lot of effort.

Ok ladies and men, if you have hair and are clogging the shower drain like me please give this a try. I was using a bottle of draino every 3 months when i clogged the shower drain. A friend begged me to stop because i was killing the environment.

so after a few hundred bucks down the drain (literally) a friend suggested this little drain snake. I tried it and will never buy chemicals again!!! I bought my little gadget for under 5 bucks and so far ive used it 3 times.

They are ment to be one time uses but mine still looks brand new so imma keep using it. WARNING!! Please get some gloves or something to hold this little piece of plastic with because the little “teeth” will hurt your hands.

Our sinks have always drained slow, I just assumed that’s how it is supposed to be. My husband is away and I got sick of seeing that the drains are all so slow so I went to see what there was at Walmart- plungers didn’t work and Draino didn’t do much.

I saw the inexpensive cheap and simple too and thought, “what the heck, if it works it works, I can get 3 for the price of a Starbucks coffee. ” I went home and started with my teenage daughter’s tub.

Let me tell you, this was super easy and we got so much hair that we were beginning to wonder how long it had been in there. It is not for the weak stomach folk, it was slimy from conditioner, shampoo and I hate to say it, but it reeked of mold.

One at a time we did the same with the bathroom sinks, GAG!! But the amazing thing is, IT WORKED!!! No more slow draining, not even a little! Honestly, it became a mission to see how much gunk and hair we could pull out, it was much more than we expected, but glad it’s flowing now and this Zip it is really cheap and super easy!.

Simple item that worked amazingly well on all 4 bathroom sinks, as well as the bathtub/shower drain (and I have 2 teen daughters with long hair!). So much safer for the environment than Drano and better for relieving pressure on pipes than using baking soda and vinegar to try to force the clogs along.

I will say that you will want lots of paper towels, because the hair you pull out of the drains will be coated in disgusting gunk. Have the waste basket nearby, and carefully pick at the hair on the Zip-it, as the teeth are sharp points of plastic.
