20 Best Tool For Straightening Hair (2023 Updated)

I was super excited this Shine Therapy Argan Oil & Keratin 2 Inch Flat Iron from Remington recently! I had been hunting for a new one for myself but hadn’t found the right one for me yet. The Flat iron arrived super quickly once it was shipped and on its way to me.

Once here, I was extremely relieved to see that they had packaged this flat iron inside of another box & also protected it from being tossed around during shipment, which I really appreciated. No one wants to receive a broken product, so they did great.

The packaging for the flat iron itself was super easy to remove the flat iron from. It was a nicely decorated and very informative box. I really liked how they had so much good information on the box & used that space with all that information instead of leaving it blank.

I never get to brag on a products packaging, so this is very nice. It even shows the size of the straightener on the box! You never get lucky enough to see an actual picture of the hair tool on the box this simple & clear, but it’s truly almost a full size picture of the flat iron itself.

It’s very nice to see everything good about a product on its box, that way I’m not googling the answers I want to my questions about the product. The beautiful flat iron is a very sleek looking flat iron.

It is an off-white color all over it, with a very pretty sparkly silver top panel that runs the entire length of the top of the flat iron. It has the Remington Shine Therapy logo in the center of the top and nothing else except the light up mini temperature screen that’s on the top of the handle.

My favorite part about this flat iron is the swivel cord! Not many other flat irons have this and it’s such a disappointment when they don’t. I also like that this heats up from 300 degrees for fine hair, all the way up to 450 degrees for very thick hair, and everything in between for all hair situations.

So it feels like I’m getting a custom flat iron made just for me each time I use it. Oh & the way the Ceramic plates are set in the flat iron, gives it a smooth pull against your hair. Especially with the fact that they’re conditioned with the Argan Oil & Keratin.

It’s really good for your hair. It does help make your hair shinier & smoother. Honestly this is a great flat iron if you’re looking for one. It’s not super expensive, it’s from an amazing brand that we all already know & love, plus it’s made from great quality materials with a swivel salon length cord! It’s a very safe flat iron with an easy to use hinge lock & auto shut off.

It’s truly salon quality without it carrying that huge salon pricetag! I highly recommend it. You and your hair will thank me later!.

This flat iron has a lot of great attributes. First, the 2” width allowed me to flat iron my hair much more quickly than my old 1” flat iron. That got me out the door in half the time than I usually would need.

Second, the digital display and directions made it easy for me to choose a proper heating temperature. Even though the recommended temperature was lower, I opted to use 400 degrees Fahrenheit for my hair which worked perfectly.

Third, there is a locking mechanism that allowed me to keep the flat iron closed after styling. From a safety perspective this was well thought out and appreciated! The only downside I came across was in the positioning of my hand on the handle.

I found that I was unintentionally and unknowingly pressing the temperature increase button while styling my hair, which brought the machine all the way to 450 degrees before I realized it. Aside from that mishap, the product works great and is a good purchase.

I think this is the fastest heating flat iron I have ever used. My hair is curly, frizzy and tangles easily. I prefer my hair straight as a pin. Most straighteners help but never get all the curl out.

I have has the most success with this 1″ straightener. I am not sure if it is due to the Argan oil being infused or the technology. Regardless, I am so happy with how well it works. The cool down time for the straightener is fairly quick as well.

The cord is plenty long. The placement of the on/off and temperature settings are out if the way. I can’t tell you how frustrated I get when they are right where my fingers sit so I end up changing the temperature or shutting it off.

Not with this. It is balanced well, the weight of it does not feel heavy or awkward in my hand. I prefer the thinner 1″ wand over thicker ones. I can control it easier as well as use it to style my hair straight or with waves.

I almost forgot to mention the handy clip that keeps the unit closed when not in use. What a great feature. No need to wrap ot closed in the cord.

I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted.

This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up.

As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet.

One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings.

I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past.

With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. It came in a really nice heavyweight cardboard box with a magnetic flap, I’m sure most will throw it away but if you’re like me keep the boxes to repurpose or so your tools are more protected during travel this is a good box that won’t be crushed or damaged easily.

I bought this item during the Target Black Friday sale. The first iron I received was defective and would automatically turn off as soon as I turned it on. I tried multiple plugs to make sure it was the iron and not the outlet before sending it back.

Target replaced it, although it took a few weeks to receive the new one. I have owned many other brands of irons, most of them considered higher end vs this one. I am impressed with the features this one comes with: electronic temperature control (my GHD does not have this), curved plate edges for curling hair (again my GHD does not have this), additional length of plates accommodating for long hair, and the smoothness of the Titanium plates.

It is packed with features for the price. However, it does not have dual voltage which means I can not travel with it as it won’t convert in other countries to their power type, which is something I general seek out in an iron.

Also, there is something about it that just feels a little flimsy compared to the GHD I am replacing it with, or the Amika I had previously owned, or even the Chi iron I had before that one. I use my iron every day, sometimes multiple times a day for touch ups, and they tend to last me about 2 years (doesn’t matter which brand) before they fizzle out.

I have long wavy hair, that I either straighten or put a curl into depending on how much time I have. I will keep this iron because I only paid $60 for it during the Black Friday sale, but it’s not my favorite of all the irons I have owned and used in the past.

It’s definitely “passable” and worth the $60 price tag however. I’ll be looking to purchase another iron with dual voltage when I am able to start traveling again. This one should get me through until then.

I received a defective hair straightener. Turns on fine, heats up, then if I move the straightener, it also moves the electrical cord of course, then it shuts off immediately. I turn it back on, and try to straighten my hair, again it shuts off immediately.

Manual says that temperature blink until it heats up, which it did, then once a desired temperature is reached, it suppose to be on a few minutes. In my case, I pick up the straightener after it heats up, then it shuts off and cools off quickly!!! Impossible to keep it warm, due to the electrical issue in the cord.

The product was defective. Not happy dealing with re-packing, printing labels, and packaging again. I have a video recording available to proof this issue. I am sure it works, not in my case. Not one star, if possible- there was no choice of 0 star.

I absolutely cried when I broke my flat iron I’d had for 8yrs that was $250. I honestly couldn’t imagine spend that much again…till I found this famed beauty! Not even close to $250 and I am in love with the digital display on the outside with inside button adjustments.

It slides right throw my hair. My last flat iron was more rounded which allowed me to curl my hair. I wasn’t sure if this could do the same…but let me assure you, it did and much more. It heats quickly and has a very thick cord which is great so it doesn’t kink the wires when you wrap up the cord.

By the way!!! It also automatically shuts off if you forget to unplug it…which I realized when I was already at work. Came home and it was off 🙂 I am beyond impressed and will definitely revisit Lange’ for other hair tools! Thank you for being my saving grace when my flat iron broke! 💕.

I had the same straightener for a little over 10 years when the cord started shorting. I knew exactly what I wanted when it was time to purchase a new one. I had been watching the Lange videos for a couple of years and never made a purchase yet (I’m a procrastinator) if you are too.

don’t wait! It’s a great product! I ordered 3 things but this straightener was the first thing in my basket. With my old straightener I always had to turn it all the way up above 400. with this one 340 is plenty, I could probably do less tbh.

The only con is that it kind of pulls my hair when straightening, not all of it but 1 or 2 pieces at a time. This could be me doing something wrong though. Going to start brushing my hair more before running the straightener over it.

I have had the same flat iron for 10 years until it finally broke. I researched and was willing to pay decent money for a good one. Reviews looked great and I have the Le Volume Brush Dryer and like it so figured the flat iron would be good too.

I was so excited to use it but quickly found that it does not work well on my hair. It does heat up quickly which is a plus and had a nice long cord it just doesn’t work well on my thick, wavy hair. My daughter tried it as well and her hair is thinner and quite straight.

She didn’t feel that it straightened well either. She had to take it over her hair multiple times to get the desired straightness and even then it wasn’t as good as it could be. Over all not worth money in my book.

I bought this brush based on all the positive reviews and was hoping to make my hair styling routine faster then using a hair straightener. I knew it wouldn’t be as good as a flatiron so my expectations weren’t too high.

I have noticed that this brush seems to break my hair more during the brushing process. I find so many hair bundles when I finish it actually makes me concerned. It’s nothing compared to when I use my flatiron in terms of damage.

It also doesn’t really help tame the ends to looks smooth. Personally I wouldn’t recommend this product. You’r basically wasting time while thinking that’s your saving time. In the end the results look halfas*ed.

I love this brush. It’s great for when you want to straighten your hair really fast. It definitely does not do the same job as a regular flat iron would, but it’s close enough. I just got the miro pure hair strainer brush and ot work awesome on my hair so far no complaint is that on your website the brush is 49. 98 and I ordered it from overstock. Complaint it cost me 100.

00 dollars that’s a little disappointed I’m paying for 2 brushes instead of onr.

This brush is definitely convenient for those who hate take forever to straighten their entire head. I have 4C hair and this straightener brush got my hair straight on the LOWEST setting with large sections in about 30 minutes at most , which is OUSTANDING for me.

I didn’t have to worry about making sure my sections were extremely small and didn’t have to bother with the comb method to get my hair bone straight and flowy. It’s so simple to use and saves you a headache and a whole lot of arm pain.

I did have to use it at the highest setting, and I had to separate my hair, but once I did, it takes about 8-10 minutes for my whole head! That is AMAZING!! It comes with a heat protecting glove, which you really don’t need.

This gets hot, but only within the “bristles” of the brush. I love that this straightens my hair without making it flat. A flat iron gives a more pin-straight appearance, but it can severely decrease volume.

I have been using this product for many years now. I love it. It fits me and my family so well. This product is perfect to keep for yourself and for others. This product definitely met my expectations.

I would buy this product again ten times over. If possible, i would love to be table to recieve more the products in order to provide more reviews.

What can I say? My Chi is my BFF. I’ve had my Chi for approx 15 years and it’s still working as good as new. I believe the reason why it’s lasted this long is because I never bundle, wrap or twist the cord.

I’ve always allowed it to flow freely and believe this makes a huge difference. I have naturally curly hair and sometimes my curls tend to frizz when I towel dry or blow dry so I’ve come up with the best way to give me the best results.

Here’s my régimen: I shower and wrap my towel on my head immediately for approx 6 minutes. Once I’m ready to take the towel off I slowly unravel being careful not to use friction from the towel on my hair.

I then comb through with a wide tooth salon comb and allow my hair to air-dry completely. I then comb through my hair first taking out any twists, curls or snags. and finally section my hair. I make sure to completely go over my hair strands in smaller sections from root to end in one steady swipe with my.

I also must note: I truly love my Chi because unlike other brands, you only need to go over a thin strand of hair once which means less heat damage. Also, as an FYI: This ceramic Chi can get extremely hot so be sure to use with care and ALWAYS make sure your hair is completely dry before using for safest and best results.

I used to think that metal plates + heat = straightener. The brand didn’t matter. I got my 1st Chi seven or eight years ago and that all changed. With other straighteners. even those from the beauty supply stores.

I have to run it over my wavy hair multiple times to get it straight. With Chi, it’s one pass and done. I don’t know what makes Chi different but it is. Maybe it has to do with heat distribution. I don’t really even care.

I just know that it works. My hair is healthy despite daily use (Chi Iron Guard is great btw) and I straighten my hair in one-third of the time. If you have waves or curls, invest in a good straightener to keep your hair healthy and to save time.

The “original” is a good price and worth every penny. (My old Chi still works! Unfortunately, I didn’t take care of it so there is a lot of baked on product on the plates. I’ve traveled with it, dropped it many times and who knows what my teen has done to it when she used it but it still works.

Keep your plates clean and it will last many years. ).

My 11 year old daughter, who has light, natural waves, was excited to use the Curation Styling Iron. She is able to straighten her hair on her own (with parent supervision) in about 10 minutes, 5 minutes for each pass.

The iron has four heat settings, each recommended for different hair types as well as an auto shut-off feature. My daughter’s hair is a combination of fine and medium so we kept her heat setting at the lowest.

Mine is coarse, so it is set higher. We always put heat protectant spray in our hair to minimize damage and I highly recommend those using heated styling tools invest in quality sprays to protect your tresses.

My daughter remarked how fast the styling iron heated up (seconds!) and how easy it was to use. She found the swivel cord to be a blessing (as do I, having used a non swivel cord previously) and she always remarks how soft her hair feels after it is straightened.

I like the curved design, allowing for multiple style options, something my previous straighteners have lacked. In addition, this styling iron has proved to be snag-free as advertised, much to our delight.

This styling iron also produces waves and curls, however, we both have naturally wavy hair, so we mainly use it for a straightener, though I like that the options for other styles are possible and we are not limited to straightening only.

We were not sure how to curl hair, so we watched a video how to curl hair with the Curation and we found the steps easy to replicate. My daughter has only curled her hair once, as she found it to be tedious on her long, thick hair.

I ended up having to help her because she got tired of curling all the small sections. I have been able to replace both my straightener and my curling iron with this styling iron, and I am extremely pleased with the results we have seen.

We both highly recommend this styling iron.

This was my first experience with an InStyler product- and I am thoroughly impressed! For the last 15+ years, I have always used Chi brand irons. My hair is hard to tame between it being naturally wavy, super thick, and having humidity induced frizz/unwanted volume.

Despite having really wavy hair, my hair also hardly holds a wand curl normally. One of the best features of this iron was how light weight it is to hold. I need to do a minimum of four layers sectioned out in my hair to reach it all, and I can’t emphasize what a difference it makes to not have a heavy iron to hold up for the 30+ minutes it takes me to get to all my hair.

I also like the LED lights indicating when it’s fully warmed up and ready to go, which only took 30 seconds or so. The swivel cord is nice, it didn’t get in my way while styling. The downsides to the iron were pretty minimal- but the biggest problem I thought it had was that it didn’t have a good balance to set down without it rolling on its side.

A silicone mat to put it on would probably be a good idea if you’re worried about the counters. A much smaller issue was that while the iron looks sleek- the plain white was boring. One of my favorite things about Chi is all their different styles, and I always look forward to seeing the newest designs.

I really like having cute/pretty products when I can get them. As for actual use- no complaints here! I got through most sections with just one slow pass, and it really held straight. I also did some sections to try out a curl under and a round barrel curl.

This is where the InStyler really shined- it held the curl ten fold better than my actual barrel curling iron and it styled it immediately (no holding for a few moments to make a curl). My hair is normally so stubborn I kind of couldn’t believe it.

Another big plus I noticed right away was it really clamped down fully on my strands (without pulling), and I never felt my hair slip through. I would 100% recommend!.

I mentioned above my old straightener snagged and broke so much hair off I would need a lint brush and just be covered in my own hair! I’m totally comfortable using the Curation I’m not worried about my hair being damaged.

It glides smooth and easily through the hair, straightening the section being worked on the first time. Unlike my old one in which each section of hair had to be done at least twice or even three times.

Using the Curation I can do my hair in ten minutes and I can control where the heat hits it. I haven’t used a blow dryer at all it’s great bc less heat means less damage. The Curation is a great styling tool you won’t need any others!.

I have very natural curly hair and it doesnt straighten my hair like yall advertise. Also it is so heavy to hold. Very disappointed in this product. Big waste of my money that I cant afford to throw away.

I was really excited to get this one and a half inch ceramic salon quality flat iron. It is ultra sleek and boy does it perform ! This heats up in 30 seconds ! You can control the temperature by pushing the temperature button up or down.

I really like that the instructions give you an idea of what temperature to use for different thicknesses of hair. This has a swivel cord on it so there is no tangling of the cord. One of the features I like the most is that if you forget to turn this off , it automatically turns itself off in two hours.

I have medium thickness hair and this smooth my hair quickly and effortlessly. My hair stayed smooth and frizz free all day long. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes to straighten their hair or even put a little bit of waves in your hair.

Fantastic digital flat iron.

I’ve been using the same straightener for 7 years so I am very excited to add this to my hair routine. I have thick hair with a lot of frizz so straightening normally takes me a long time to achieve my desired result.

I have literally been able to clamp this straightener to a section of my hair and it be sleek and smooth with one pass through my hair. Normally, it takes me 3-4 times. It heats up fast but will not burn your hands.

I love the matte texture as it will not slip out of your hands. It has a small LCD screen that displays green when ready for use at the temperature you choose. The only thing I have noticed is it does leave my hair smelling a bit like plastic.

It does vanish fast so I am not dissatisfied with the product. Very pleased and excited for a shorter hair routine with this hair tool!.

This flat iron is great. My hair has been extra sleek and not frizzy since using it this week. I flat iron my hair daily, even if I am curling it. Some things I noticed, the cord is a little bit shorter than previous flat irons, but this might be good since the cords have a tendency of getting all tangled up.

When turning the iron on and off I have to hold down the power button for about seconds versus one click. I love that it has auto shut off, it is after two hours, which seems longer than usual but still better than not having auto shut off at all.

The light is super bright and blinking when it is off so if it was in a bedroom that may be an issue. I also like that the color on the screen changes to bright green when it is ready to use.

I have the Ion Fusion 2. 0. It is the worst straightener I’ve ever owned. I have thick, loosely wavy hair and even on full heat, 450 degrees, it still takes 4+ passes to get a small section remotely straight.

I don’t believe it actually gets up to 450. It also pulls my hair so badly, every third pass or so I have to stop and pull out hairs that are stuck in the plates – you can see in the picture how much hair I lost during one straightening session.

It gets stuck midway through my hair even though I use a good heat spray AND I brush my hair thoroughly before straightening, plus again each section right before straightening. You can get better quality at the drugstore.

I will never buy PYT hair products again and I’ll be replacing this one ASAP.

I have a few different flat irons, but the PYT brand is my favorite. Anytime I need a sleek straight look, I grab my PYT flat iron. I’ve had it for about 10 years, it still works like brand new. Perfect for natural curly hair.

I think this is the best flat iron I’ve ever owned. It works amazing and hair does not get caught or pulled. I love that it heats up so quickly and I only have to put it through a section of hair once, and it straightens or curls perfectly.

It also doesn’t leave any dents in my hair like I have experienced with previous straighteners. You will definitely get amazing results and quality for what you paid for! I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a long lasting and effective hair straightener.

I was looking for a mini straightener specifically for work and on the go. I have curly hair and sometimes when I haven’t put anything in it, especially if I haven’t washed it for a few days it gets wavy/straight from top to mid length.

This is perfect for when I want to just straighten the mid length to ends real quick so I can wear it down and it looks perfect. Have tried it from root to tip on my whole head and it works just as well.

Don’t let the tiny size fool you! Have bought and tried many mini straighteners and this is the only one that doesn’t pull, gets hot quick, and legit straightens. Also, super convenient that it comes with a travel pouch to keep it safe and clean and is small enough to throw in your bag without taking up much space.

Love love love this tool! By far the best brush straightener out there. I bought the first gen brush straightener from HeadKandy and loved it. I happened to get a free one from a competitor and while it is a great product too, it’s just can’t compete with the HeadKandy product.

I gave my bestie the OG and was stuck with the competitors for a while (I know I know). I couldn’t take it any longer and I bought the One Upper to replace the OG I gifted. I am now complete again in my straightening needs and have now gifted the competitors to another friend who is just not sure about the brush straighteners in general.

I have made sure to tell them of they end up enjoying the tool to UPGRADE to the One Upper! 😉.

Merry Christmas to me! I just received my products today and so far tried the above and love them all! I also purchased the commitment issues, but haven’t tried that as of yet. I will post about that product when I do.

I am sure that will be as awesome as the One Upper. Not only are the products awesome, but Kayla is just as equally amazing. Not sure how she balances all that she does. She manages to respond personally to each and everyone’s questions within a timely manner, yet balance her day to day business.

Sadly I haven’t received my one upper yet. This is my second purchase because I absolutely LOVE the product! I have very frizzy thick thick red hair and it has always taken an hour to straighten it. Not anymore! with this amazing tool it takes about 10/15 minutes! My issue is shipping time sadly it said it would be about 5/7 days and it’s been over two weeks.

I will say the rep helping me track it from your customer service has been AMAZING! Her name is Shelby I believe she has been very kind with responding to my emails. I appreciate her communication.

I love this so much I am a novice when it comes to doing my hair but this makes it easy. I wanted to do all those cute beachy waves so many are doing with their shoulder length bob. My old flat iron made it impossible from burning my hands to not having the oval shape barrel it just looked terrible.

I was so nervous spending the money but took the risk and glad I did! I love it. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is I am constantly changing the temp for how I need to grip it to curl my hair I wish there was a way to lock it in place once you have the temp you choose.

But other than that it is great.

I am always so picky when it comes to straighteners, and I am really very happy with this purchase. It is so practical! For example, you can change the temperature at the bottom and it’s digital and goes up pretty high.

I have thick, curlish hair that looks like a frizzy lions mane when I blow dry it. Having this straighter helps tame it so much! The on button is placed in the perfect spot too so that way you don’t have to worry about hitting it randomly when straightening.

I also love how it glides easily down my hair and doesn’t pull at all. It may be expensive compared to some, but hey, I have literally NO complaints so far. The auto shut off even saved me the other day when I forgot to turn it off.

If you’re thinking hard about a straightener like I was. just go ahead and buy it. You won’t be sorry.

I’ve had this for about I think almost a year. I very picky with everything I use on my interracial hair. it’s frizzy, complicated, and when I straight my hair I want it done right and I don’t like to continuously go over the same strain of hair to make it straight.

This one has met my standards. I highly recommend this for frizzy, or thick interracial hair like mine. The neat thing too is I only have it up to 380 and it does the trick rather than having to go to the max high on the others which were the cheaper ones I had in the past.

I started to use this product daily after the first use. I like trying new things and this definitely did the job on my hair. It’s easy to operate. It is easy to handle. I will never go back to a curling iron after using the hot round brush.

try one with out the flat iron option and a smaller barrel,liked it ,my hair is flat and thin,but getting longer,so I got the 1. 5 inch. its real nice love the lock setting on the flat iron. my hair is dry and this did not cause me any static.

it seam to not over dry my hair,like many other flat irons do. i did my usual styling, and was pleased that it didn’t tangle,or put crimp lines in my hair. very glad i got it.

I use this product twice a week. It’s not the hottest tool so it doesn’t burn my hair which is fine and thin. It holds a curl or straight for 2 days. I like only having to have one tool on my counter.

The T3 signature white and rose gold gives the flat iron a unique look and stands out in a sea of boring black styling tools, but I’ll admit, the color had me hesitant. I was worried that product build-up and makeup residue from my hands would make it look dingy quickly but I was really impressed.

The gloss finish wipes clean easier than any other styling tool I’ve used in the past and months later the white cord looks perfect as well. Both clean easily. The styling iron has 5 heat settings, each represented by a simple light on the handle for a sleek look.

The heat setting you choose is locked in the next time you turn it on. To change the heat setting just double click the power/temp switch and once the lights start to flash cycle through to the desired setting.

It heats quickly and has even, consistent heat with no hot spots. Hair glides easily through the ceramic plates and if I go slowly with small sections like T3 suggests I can definitely achieve the single-pass results advertised.

Sadly, the T3 Singlepass did not work well for my hair. As this straightener is supposed to smooth and straighten in one pass, I found I had to make multiple passes. The plates are much smaller than I had expected and I needed to take smaller sections of my hair than what I am used to.

This made straightening my hair even more time consuming than normal. Please note that my hair is very thick, coarse and naturally wavy. I did use this same straightener In my friends hair that is not as thick as mine and it worked well to straighten, smooth and curl her hair.

T3 does heat up quickly and maintains evened out heated plates. I would recommend this for hair that is fine to medium in texture. I would not recommend this for women with coarse and or thick hair.

I absolutely love this flat iron. It’s has 5 heat settings so you can adjust the temperature based on the texture of your hair, so you no longer have to worry about damaging your hair with too much heat.

The ceramic plates on the product is different from any other ceramic styling iron in the market. I have multiple ceramic flat irons, that claim to straighten your hair in a single pass but none measure up to this product.

It really straightens in ONE pass, without frizz. Also the plates are longer to cover more of your hair, which shortens your styling time. And on top of all of the great features, it is absolutely beautiful.

it’s very easy to grip and makes you feel like a professional when styling your hair. I LOVE IT!.

When I took the Lunata cordless hot brush out of the box, it stated it would take 90 minutes to charge it. To my great pleasure, it was fully charged in 10 minutes AND it heated up to 450 degrees faster that any other hair tool I’ve ever used.

This brush is certainly heavier than most other hair tools BUT that’s the price you pay for the highly convenient feature of a cordless tool. Still it wasn’t unwieldy and was easy to manipulate as needed.

(Important note: this must be used on dry hair. ) I have thick hair that tends on the frizzy side. This brush didn’t work super well for me when I started with frizzy air-dried hair. It was a winner when used to smooth out blow dried hair.

I think this is a niche product. It’s excellent for bed head, a touch up after working out or for travel. I’ll certainly enjoy this brush as a niche product but b/c of it’s more limited use for my hair type, it’s somewhat overpriced.

Okay so I just received my Lunata cordless hot brush and was so excited to try it since I use to use the Tymo. The only problem with the Tymo was it got so much build up in it that it started to smell.

I haven’t used the Lunata that much to tell if it will do the same. BUT I feel the Lunata could be better. I don’t feel it straightened my hair that good. I have medium thick curly frizzy hair. I like that each bristle has its own individual ceramic plate.

I’m going to maybe try and take smaller sections of hair and go really slow which kinda sucks because it already takes so long to do my hair I was hoping this would cut my time in half. I will update my review once I try it again but to be honest it’s not as good as my Babyliss.

This is quite the tool. It charges quickly, heats up pretty fast, and the charge holds long enough to do my hair a few times (I have shoulder-length hair. ) My hair changed texture after a 1 year trial of medication- it went from bone straight to fuzzy in places, soft body in others.

It’s been a huge disappointment. This Lunata brush is the perfect solution- takes the fuzziness out, calms, and straightens. No scream of the blow dryer, no cord getting caught on things, and no being tethered to the bathroom or other outlet.

I do still use the blow dryer for adding volume, and a round brush for a certain style, occasionally. But the Lunata is my new everyday go-to. Love it!.

I purchased this 50 percent off during an Ulta promotion. If I would have paid full price and it wasn’t such a hassle and hazard to return, I would have done so. I am very glad I kept it and fall in love more and more each day.

Pros: 1. So much more relaxing to straighten brushing than a straightening iron. It’s literally theraputic and now and I love the act of smoothing and straightening my hair. 2. Less damage to my ends.

3. When you get the hang of it you can add lift, curves, and volume. 4. Doesn’t burn my scalp if I get close to shape and build volume. 5. My hair looks naturally straighter. not stick straight and smoother when product is used prior.

Cons: 1. The bristles warped on the first use. 2. My hair was frizzy within 20 minutes without a silicone based product and heavy leave in moisturizer. It helped to add an oil post straightening and twist it into a bun in a “cool down” setting phase.

Yet this left my hair with curly ends. 3. This is not meant for going from super curly to super straight. Your hair needs to be dry, combed through thoroughly, and executed slowly. 4. I don’t see this working for coils and tight textures.

5. It’s hard to get super close to your roots if you have tight baby curls. Overall, I enjoy it way more than straightening with an iron post blow drying. Combing through, blowing out my roots and air drying is the perfect combo for my 3a-c curls.

It’s a joy to use, lightweight and great post-breaking my elbow.

My husband bought me this because I was complaining about how long it took to do my hair and how bad my original straightener was frying my hair. I have very thick curly hair. I tried this straightener and it did heat up very fast however it only made my hair frizzy and did not straighten my roots at all.

It did make my hair straight(ish). The best thing about it, is you can place your hand on it while it’s on and it will it burn you because it heats in the actual brush. Because of this, I have it to my 8 year old daughter who has thin wavy hair.

She loves that she can turn it on and use it any time she wants without having to worry about burning herself! Also, if works GREAT for her hair! No frizz and her hair is done in less than 10 minutes.

So I’d agree, it’s not made for thick hair but if you have thin hair. get it!.

I use this in tandem with my Single Shot Dry bar round brush blow out dryer. I have naturally lightly wavy hair and this product and the blow dryer replaced a bench full of hair appliances by T3. Far superior product to the T3 version and about $30/40 less.

The review photos others posted sold me on the product. i bought mine at nordstrom store, it’s returnable there, but if you purchase rack version double shot it’s final sale. (same price btw). i finished with my mini straightening brush.

It finishes last frizz and sets the style in place. i highly recommend both products. tossed my T3 products and my calista took for curling my hair.

So good, I bought a backup just in case! I have 2C/3A pattern naturally curly hair that I could never really achieve a smooth, sleek look on with a flat iron. It was always either dull looking or had a stubborn bend to it that refused to come out.

The only way I’d been able to achieve straight, glossy hair was with a round ceramic brush, a blowdryer + concentrator attachment, and an hour of my time, painstakingly going over and over tiny sections.

This straightening brush was such a game-changer for me!! It heats up super-quickly, is adjustable in increments of 10 degrees until 430 degrees max (I think) and the heat is radiated into the bristles, which means you can achieve sleek, polished results on larger sections of hair.

I can do my whole head in 13 sections, with about 3-4 passes per section, and I can do my whole head in about 20 minutes. I pre=treat my hair with Alterna Caviar CC Cream for protection, and I usually air-dry unless I’m in a hurry.

I like for my hair to be ever-so-slightly damp when I use this straightening brush, because the steam results in major shine. For finishing product, I like Aveda Anti-Humectant Pomade to block out humidity and keep frizz at bay.

Keeping this brush clean is a little tricky, but what works for me is a little refillable spray bottle filled with rubbing alcohol and the large brush from the Camelbak bottle brush set. The bottle brush bristles are long enough to reach between the bristles of your straightening brush and dislodge any crud.

I then carefully rinse the bristles under hot water (unplugged, of course!) making sure to direct the water away from the housing of the brush, and let it air dry positioned such that water doesn’t enter the brush.

Amika doesn’t really give you instructions how to maintain this brush, but this is what works for me, and I hope you’ve found it useful!.

I wasn’t expecting much as I have curly, long, thick, frizzy hair. But after years of avoiding straighteners due to them damaging my hair, I bought this. I was so impressed – with thick hair it takes awhile but then the result was straight hair that lasted a week! Not as good as a blowout from a salon but still straight, manageable hair that looked straight even in humidity and just needed some oil and brushing (from a normal brush) each morning to maintain the straight and frizz-free look.

Since it’s a brush, I just brushed it over my hair for about half an hour. I didn’t bother putting my hair into sections, so it probably took longer than normal. I appreciated that unlike a straightener, my hair wasn’t pulled/snagged/broken when using it so I feel like this is less damaging.

I also appreciated that it was just a brushing motion rather than needing to grip and pull the hair like with a straightener. My arm didn’t feel tired afterward as the brush isn’t too heavy. My only complaint would be because it’s like using a brush, I often touched my neck with it, which hurt, but it didn’t leave any burns at least … it’s my own error, so I need to try a better technique next time I guess! Definitely the best purchase I’ve made in awhile.

I just bought my 2nd one of these. I’ve had the first one since 2/2018. It didn’t die, I was just a little too rough with it when returning it to the hair tools basket under my sink and broke a couple of the bristles.

It still works fine, and would still be in regular use if I hadn’t damaged it. I have fine, curly (2B/2C) hair, and this hot brush does a PERFECT job of straightening my hair, even at the roots where my old technique of blowdryer + round ceramic brush just couldn’t reach.

The way I use this is, I run a dab of Alterna Caviar CC cream to freshly-washed, towel-squeezed hair, and let it air-dry about 85%. Then, using alligator clips, I run this straightening tool at 410 degrees through my hair in sections approximatey 3″ wide and 1″ high, starting from the neck and working my way to the crown.

Because my hair is still a touch damp, it takes several passes, but the steam leaves my hair shiny and sleek, while the CC cream protects against thermal damage. You can use this brush to create a little bend at the ends of your hair, too.

Once done, I like to distribute a tiny amount of Aveda Anti-Humectant Pomade to lock in shine and protect against humidity frizz. Once a month or so, I clean the brush by spraying it (cooled off and unplugged) and using a water bottle straw cleaner to gently clean between the bristles.

I used the Prima Titanium Flat Iron 1 Inch for the first time on a wig that I wore for my last-minute graduation ceremony. I love that I caught this on sale because I’ve been wanting one of the other BabyLiss Flat Irons, but they were reserved for Pro users only.

This is also my first time owning my own flat iron so I was excited. I got this because it looks like it would be just like the Pro version. It was very streamline and smooth because of the titanium plates and stainless steel barrel outer plates.

The only downside to this is that the on/off and temperature buttons are right where I rest my hand, so I accidentally shut it off and turned it up on accident a couple times; but it wasn’t a deal-breaker.

Also, the grip isn’t as tight as I would like it when I was trying to attempt to make flat iron curls (even with the lock feature; so I just gripped the covered end to get a tighter grip). Nonetheless, I can’t wait to see how it’ll work on my actual hair.

This iron is perfect! I have thin hair but have been told I have a lot of thin hair. ? My hair is very wavy when air dried. I always blow dry it out and it straightens it pretty well but still have waves.

I first put it on 400 and it did a fabulous job. My hair was straight and I could still curve it under without a crimp. I also highlight blond in it regularly and it still made it silky and shiny, I love it!! Definitely recommend unless you have very thin dry hair.

I saw this advertised on Instagram and I was a bit skeptical, but I must admit this straightening brush is great! I love that I can do larger sections and that it really does straighten your hair in half the time.

I love it when an online advertisement isn’t a lie. I will say the only draw back is it was kinda hard to get the ends of my hair as straight as I prefer since you need to have the hair touch the base of the brush.

I was however able to use a small comb to create the tension required to get to this area.

Seriously, I wasn’t expecting much since every flat iron I have ever owned still leaves frizziness. This works amazing!!! Even after sleeping with my hair pinned up over night (I have long hair, below bra line) this flattened out the huge crease and my hair stayed smooth all day.

This was a total impulse buy and literally the best purchase I made last month!.

Please get this straightener! This is absolutely phenomenal. My hair is very thick and I have to use so much heat with regular straighteners, but this one is literally less time consuming and so much easier.

I was using my mom’s as a tester before I would actually buy it and I definitely am.
