20 Best Tool For Cutting Plywood (2023 Updated)

Wish we would have had this saw years ago as it would have made a lot of renovation projects a lot easier! The saw is very powerful (it plugs in so no worries of batteries running down). The saw is designed that when we ripped a narrow piece of OSB board it had the smoothest splinter-free cut I’ve ever seen for a circular saw.

LOVE the attachable dust bag for mess-free cutting and keeping sawdust out of the air. Adjustment tools store right into the handle of the saw. The saw can be adjusted to a tilted position to allow for bevel cuts.

We love the guide track that is designed to go with this saw. It prevents kickback. The guide has a grippy bottom to it that holds to the board and doesn’t slide around. This takes the guesswork out of cutting a long straight line.

I’ve watched my grandfather and dad over the years use a variety of word working saws and assist my husband with renovation projects we have done a lot of measuring and re-measuring to ensure a straight line.

If we would have had this saw years ago it would have made a lot of projects easier. Even though I don’t operate saws often I found it easy to use and maneuver. My husband and I are very impressed with this kit and look forward to using it for all our upcoming projects! Oh, and the saw came with a very roomy and handy bag for storage and transportation! Love the quality of everything that came with the kit.

My husband is newly retired and has his little workshop for his projects and the honey-do list I presented him with a month or so after he retired (didn’t want to ambush him with it right away). We live in a 45-year-old house that has lots of places that need updating and now that we’re past doing all of the big stuff we can concentrate on updating and fixing the cosmetic things.

This Kreg ACS 2000 saw system is perfect for some of these projects my husband has to do now. He said that the saw is accurate, the blade sharpness is excellent, he really likes the anti-kickback control and the whole system is well thought out.

He loves the bag to store it in and thinks that is a wonderful addition to the set. He would like to make one suggestion though. He wishes the guide track could be broken down into two pieces to make storage easier.

He would like to see them in a 2-piece snap together configuration if that would be possible and still keep be able to keep the strength as good as it is in a one piece. Other than that, that he thinks this is probably the best addition to his workshop in a long time.

This track saw system works like the high priced saws at a price I could afford. Accurate, clean cuts. Dust collection using the bag is great. Fills fast though so you need to empty it often. When using vacuum dust collection, I’m really impressed.

Bought the additional track to rip a full eight feet. Had to buy the connection bars separate. Kreg missed the mark on this. Should have been included with the extra track. One other issue is that the set screws for the track connectors are a different size (smaller) than the other screws used on the saw.

No place to store the extra wrench. I’ll eventually drill out a tap the connectors so I can use set screws that use the same size as the wrench stored in the saw handle. Stupid design mistake on Kreg’s part.

Other than those very minor issues, the track saw and the track is great.

Great product, good price, lightweight and very easy to handle. This tool cuts wood like cutting cheese. The blades are so sharp and its ideal for small projects that require precision cutting without ripping the edges.

I enjoyed it so much because it is so easy to use and doesnt tire your arms. I recommend this pull saw to anyone looking for a quality tool.

This is a great saw. I never used one before, but now it is my go to saw. It cuts great with little effort. I would buy this saw again.

Almost didn’t buy this because of a negative review but decided to give it a try, I’m glad I did. I’m putting vinyl plank down over an existing vinyl floor. I needed to cut the bottoms of the door jamb to make room for the new floor.

This worked perfectly. You need to put a scrap piece of flooring down next to where you’re going to cut. Use that to support the saw and you’ll get the right height and a flat cut. The flip-around blade is a nice touch making it easier to use your dominant hand/arm for most of the cutting on both sides of the door.

this is not a dove tail saw. The teeth are too rough and large to make small accurate cuts. As for a cut off saw or a utility saw it works well. If you are serious about learning or a master at dove tails then this saw is not for you.

Blade does not have enough teeth fo easily cut door casing. Difficult to use. Reversible blade concept makes level cuts unachievable. Go back to the tixed blade undercut saw if you want good results.

Love it! After much consideration and research I bought this blade for a vintage DeWalt (1956) radial arm saw that I am restoring. It checks all the boxes. I was particularly interested in it due to it’s low hook angle of only 10 degrees.

With a low angle like this my saw is less likely to pick up my material from my table when ripping. It’s safer. And I am a Freud fan any way. I have a few of their cutters and they all are very nice.

In researching I found many radial arm saw users expressing satisfaction with this blade. No complainers. And, I have an earlier uncoated one in a bigger size for my other radial saw. I am in process of cutting out some rails and stiles for some cabinets so I put it on and wow, so smooth and precise! If you can’t justify the cost of separate cross and rip blades, this is the ticket!.

This blade has become my everyday, stays-on-the-saw almost-all-the-time blade for my radial arm saw. I do have a Forrest Woodworker I, which is specifically designed for radial saws, but in view of its price I reserve it for special projects.

I don’t want to cut 2x4s with it! I also own Freud specialty glue-line ripping and melemine/plywood blades, but the LU83 I use probably 90% of the time on every type of wood and various thicknesses including 2x stock.

It always comes through. I bought this blade because, when ripping on a radial arm saw you do not want a blade with a hook angle greater than 10 degrees or you will risk having the saw pick up the wood and kick it back.

This blade fits that requirement. (The Forrest WWI has a hook angle of 5 degrees). I also use hold-downs to keep the stock from lifting and have had no problem with kickback. A sharp blade is key to avoiding kickback and the LU83 fits that requirement as well.

I have been so pleased with this blade that I just bought a second one so I can continue working while the other blade is being sharpened, because while I also have some less expensive blades I could put on the saw, after using the LU83 I don’t want to use them any more.

Bought this to replace the blade that came with my Grizzly table saw. The difference is night and day-this blade is like a blow torch cutting through butter. It has handled any species of wood I have put to it with no issues.

I have bought this blade before and it was awful. I thought maybe it was a fluke, and decided to try it again. nope, these blades are GARBAGE! It was smoking and chipping my baseboards before I could finish half a room! Don’t waste your money on this item.

Cut ply wood. Worked fine. Least expensive blade I found. Expect to use it to cut plexiglass.

I tried the Irwin 180 t saw blade. I do not consider myself a carpenter , more of a tinkerer. I have used the blade for a couple of days now and all I see is great quality at a great price. I definitely recommend this product.

This Sharksaw is advertised as an excellent “general carpentry” saw. It IS that, and more. It has a heft to it that many Japanese pull saws don’t have. Woodworkers will like that because it does many jobs that would otherwise require a dozuki (backsaw).

The handle is at the very best angle possible to give one’s arm and shoulder an easier time of it — which makes it easier to simply guide the saw and let it do the work. Heavy force isn’t necessary.

And it does all those things without a wide kerf.

Best handsaw ever. Effortless cutting. Easy to change blade. The 12″ general carpentry blade is a great all purpose saw to have around. I Have two of my own and bought this for a Christmas gift.

My father lent me one of these hand saws and had to return it and buy my own because it is the best hand saw blade i have ever used. Had to fight with a jam nut seized on the kitchen sink so I went to town on the copper piping only chipping off 1 or 2 teeth, and trust me I was not delicate in the whole ordeal.

This saw is faster than most common and low end power tools. Highly reccomend this and plan to buy additional blades/lengths.

I had a really cheat one that just fell apart and was considering more expensive replacements. I couldn’t believe the price of these and had to try this one. I was really impressed. Cutting dovetails was so much easier that with what I had before.

Great tension on the blade and comfortable to hold.

I don’t think I’ve ever needed to write a negative review before, so this isn’t going to be a pleasant task. Upon removing the packaging, I noted that the saw blade had been installed backwards, with the teeth facing forward.

Coping saws cut on the pull stroke, so this had to be corrected. To do this I needed to unscrew the handle, but it wouldn’t budge. I was forced to use pliers to gain enough leverage to free the handle, and this resulted in marring the handles surface, a regrettable occurrence I was willing to live with.

The next problem came when I needed to adjust the position of the blade to turn a corner. The forward blade mount was as tight, if not tighter, than the mount on the handle – it too would not budge. So, again I needed to use pliers to loosen this fitting.

In the process, the yellow plastic tab came off the mount, and then the mount itself broke. It appears that this delicate piece was actually made from a poor grade of metal, because there was no bending at all, just breakage.

The blade mount still hadn’t moved and the saw was now useless. I had no other choice but to return this shoddy tool for a refund. I don’t think I got more than 3 minutes of use from it.

Perfect for the job. And since there is a minimum character count, I repeat, It was perfect for the job.

Picked up this jab saw after comparing it to at least 4 other brands. I usually shy away from things with plastic/butyl rubber on the handles (they all eventually break down), but the DeWalt saw has so many good features compared to the others, that I figured it was worth the risk.

When it came down to it, this saw was 1/2″ to 1″ longer than most others, and had more teeth per inch than any competitor. The triple-ground teeth were a unique feature, but if they make any sort of performance difference, I couldn’t really tell you.

It’s a nice detail, though. Add the fact that the butt is actually square for hammering on stubborn spots, and you have an all-around winner.

I replaced my old jab saw for drywall with this new dewalt model earlier this year. Its very sharp and makes short work of drywall cuts. The blade is very rigid which i like better than then ones that bend when you get agressive with them.

Overall an improvement from past saws.

I had a Kobalt that broke, so I bought this saw. It stands up to the Dewalt name. Easily cuts drywall and punches through. Great quality and the price is also a deal.

I used this blade on an 18v cordless with marginal/poor results. The saw struggled to make the first 48″ cross cut through 1/2″ finish grade plywood. Switched over to my corded saw and same results. Saw seemed to struggle to make next three cuts.

By the time I went to make the fourth cut the blade induced a considerable amount of tear-out in the top layer of the plywood.

I didn’t change the old standard blade, basically from laziness. Just a dozen or so cuts and wanted to get them done. Midway thru first cut and was bogging down and I could smell I was burning my way thru.

Put on new Bauer Plywood, and butter. cuts were fast and smooth. At this price will have spare blades always in stock. Highly recommend!.

Cutting pieces of 1/2” , this blade got dull in a hurry. Trying to cut straight lines became almost impossible after only a few cuts. I normally have no problems like this with my circular saw. Hate to say it, but this blade performed like other cheap blades I have used.

Will not buy any of these again.

I bought one of these saws about 8 years ago. I initially just bought it to cut shims, because I liked the price. I am a professional carpenter/woodworker. Have been for over 25 years. I have high quality Japanese saws for fine woodworking, but this guy takes my number one spot for my favorite all time saws!!! I have performed high quality cuts with it, and it has been more durable than any saw that I have bought at any box store.

Cuts on the pull, like all Japanese saws, but the blade is a bit thicker, which makes it more durable for construction use!.

I have wanted a pull-cut saw for too long. I finally bought this one, mostly on a whim. I used it within 2 days! A friend had some garage sale hard maple chairs that needed 1/2″ cut off of the legs to allow the chairs to slide under another garage sale table’s side rails.

We had an electric jigsaw and a 24″ crosscut handsaw, but no clamps or jigs. I marked the cut lines and started pulling. 24 cuts in < 30 minutes later, we had 6 shorter chairs that didn't even wobble! Amazingly easy to do, straight cuts with no kerf "wandering", AND no sore shoulder from pushing a saw.

I’m a chairmaker. I’ve been using this saw for about 5 years; I just purchased a second one to have in reserve in case the original should get damaged. The saw is exceptional for what it is! It cuts rapidly, easily and accurately.

It is my go to saw for cutting spindle blanks and turned parts to length. I highly recommend this pull saw without reservation.

I’ve owned a few of this type of saw, but I usually go for the smaller ones under $10. Because I use them a lot I thought I’d get an upgrade, but I’ll be going back to the cheaper ones. This saw is not very sharp and it takes a lot more effort to saw through small branches than it does with the smaller pruning saws.

The size is awkward, and the blade doesn’t seem to be attached to the handle that well, as it didn’t want to go straight back in even after only one use. Just not worth the extra money.

This is one of my favorite tools ever! I have had it for just over a year, and I’ve used it for pruning branches, for cutting roots of shrubs I’m digging out, cutting small logs for firewood when camping.

I’m sure I’ve used it a few other ways. It’s truly great! Super sharp — it hasn’t dulled even after all the use I’ve given it. The best part is the folding/adjustable blade that allows me to get at a cut from several different positions — cut from the top, cut from underneath, cut from the side — for when I’m in a tight spot or when I just get tired of one direction and need to change.

I would buy this again many times over!.

Cuts great but the blade started rusting after the first use, which was just on a tree. Wanted it as a backpack saw to use instead of an axe. Just a bit too heavy for my back pack and actually too large for that use also.

So it is now my around the house pruner, tree trimmer and small tree remover.

I was very happy to receive this Stanley Tradecut 15 inch saw to trial and give my opinion. I do wood work with mostly hand tools. This is a great hand saw which is exactly what I expect from Stanley.

The 15 inch size has a great blade to handle ratio. The handle is ergonomically designed for comfort in the large hands of my husband or my own small hands. There are 45 and 90 degree blade markings.

The triple ground teeth make for a clean cut with equal ease on the pull and push. It also has a grooved index finger placement for ensuring straight cuts. I don’t use it but for those who do this is a nice feature.

This saw can NOT be sharpened. But with regular use, I don’t think there would be a need to do so. There are no visible screws on the handle to secure the blade. Whether that positively or negatively affects the overall durability, I can’t say.

I’ve used mine numerous times now on a variety of woods, including maple, pine, oak, and even tiger wood. It cuts clean and straight every time. It’s the perfect size for me because it’s large enough to handle big and thick cuts without the saw feeling unwieldy to carry or use.

Overall, I would highly recommend this Stanley Tradcut 15 inch saw as a basic staple for anyone that uses hand tools.

Great saw for the price. Especially that it’s made in Denmark. I saw that, and thought “wow Stanley, we’re getting fancy now!”. So right off the bat, the fact that it also cuts on the pull stroke made it easier to get my cut located and started than with traditional saws.

The handle is plenty comfortable. I was able to hold it in a lot of different ways, sometimes using just one hand and sometimes using both hands. I cut a piece of hard maple in half for the photos and it handled that just fine, so you know it will really fly through softer woods like fir and pine.

I found the saw quite easy to control and stay on the pencil line I had drawn on the wood. I haven’t tried it on PVC, but I imagine it would do just fine. Seems like nice quality for the price. I have a lot of panel saws, but I’m going to be gravitating to this one now.

It’s a smart size. As a bonus, Stanley incorporated a simple, yet effective square into this saw, using the non toothed edge of the saws blade as the squares straight edge, and the saws handle as both the 90 and 45 degree edges.

Quite clever, and it works well. You have to be more careful to make sure you’re getting the 45 degree lined up correctly, but it’s not difficult. I’m really glad Stanley has the confidence in their customers to use these bonus features.

I also like the hole at the tip end for hanging the saw.

This saw has a thicker blade than most of my hand saws at 0. 038” thick while most of my other saws are less than 0. 024” in thickness. You can notice the thickness when you first pickup the saw. This helps in a straight cut but is more to prevent bending or binding of the blade when sawing.

The kerf of the saw is approximately 0. 095”. The saw cuts fast, but to maximize the cutting speed you need to work on your technique because the saw cuts on both the pull (like a Japanese style saw) and on the push stroke.

The teeth are induction hardened which should allow for longer life of the saw (up to 8 times longer than non-hardened teeth). The only catch with induction hardened teeth is re-sharpening can be hard if not impossible, like a Japanese style saw you replace the blade you do not re sharpen the blade.

The saw does leave a rough cut, but for rough carpentry and a saw for your take anywhere toolbox it should do the trick. The handgrip which is comfortable with a rubberized palm also doubles as a square with the back of the blade allowing you to quickly draw a 90 or 45 degree line without reaching for another tool.

All in all, this saw should make a welcomed addition to your tool set.

The saw has a nice feel to it,not too heavy and not too light. The handle fits the hand and give you a firm hold ,what more can I say as with any toolit’s only as good as the pearson using it. The saw is not top of the range but it does what it says on the cover.

Flimsy, keeps buckling. Not even up to the job of cutting some lengths of pine architraving.

Excellent saw – just did an 8′ long cut and it did all the work for me. Highly recommend this Stanley saw.

This is a GREAT saw at a GREAT price! I didn’t even know that it came with a metal carrying case! Normally I toss the case when I get a power tool; not this one. It’s well-designed to put in and out.

Now the saw—> You know INSTANTLY that you have a VERY POWERFULL saw the moment you pull the trigger. It’s equally scary when you let go! The brake reminds me of when you slam on the brakes and your tires squeal! I’ll be looking forward to passing this saw to my children, and perhaps their children as well.

I purchased this tool about one week ago. It was like Christmas when my Acme salesman pulled up with this saw. My old 10″ beam saw was approx. 35 to 40 years old and the bearings were starting to go and the base plate was out of square.

What I like about this saw, the steel case, which helps protect the tool and keeps blades organized and safe. Next the ten foot cord is nice and is of good quality. The saw comes with a rip guide which should be included with every new saw.

The electric brake is great. The notches in the shoe are nice and help keep the saw on target, in particular is a notch right in front of the blade on the blade side of the shoe. The motor has plenty of power for cross cutting and ripping.

The trigger hole is big enough to use with gloves. The standard blade is adequate. The ability to bevel to 60 degrees is a plus for gang cutting birds mouths on rafters. The fact that it cuts 1/4″ deeper than my old saw is nice also for precutting studs in volume or 4 x header stock.

If I could add anything to this saw it would be a light. We are working inside on this project and a light would definately help. The only change I would make would be to make the bevel gauge markings on the traditional side of the protractor, that would be for easier visibility.

I would recommend this saw to anyone purchasing a beam saw.

Took the 10-1/4” to the real test. I cut down five 2”x13”x15′ sapele wood continuously to finish, as it is known, sapele is a very hard wood, and this machine was cutting as if it had just started.

When I finished, I check the temperature on the machine and it was just warm. I could not be more please with this choice of purchase.

As a professional craftsman , I tend to expect quality tools to help provide a higher degree of a quality job. I bought this for a very good price and for compact carry in my tool bag. Far as sheetrock saws go , they cut sheetrock and the drywall finisher makes it look pretty and perfect later.

I’m going to say this Dewalt saw and rasp rates a 7 out of 10 on a scale on construction because it rivals a cheap chinese made pocket knife , the saw blade and rasp have lots of play (wiggle/wobble) in the lock mechanism ,but it stays locked , and releases when the button is deliberately pushed , the sloppy lock mechanism can’t be fixed by tightening any screws.

The saw blade seems to be plenty sharp , and the rasp blade seems to be completely functional but is of stamped sheet-metal construction that has been spot-welded to the rasp blade. From a design perspective , I’d give it a perfect 10 in design , ergonomics and function.

It’s compact when folded , and serves the purpose when needed. If you occasionally cut sheetrock openings for electrical boxes , this is the perfect saw but if you do drywall work for a living , you may want to stick with your fixed blade saws and rasp.

How many times have you poked or cut yourself on a drywall saw because the blade was exposed? Worried about it cutting or damaging the bag you carry it in? There was a time I made a homemade sheath to cover the blade on my previous saws.

Then I saw this one that folds out like a pocket knife. As a DIYer with rental properties, I love this tool. I keep it in my main tool backpack and no longer have to worry about getting stabbed every time I reach in there to get something.

I’ve had this for 4 years and mine locks up solid and works just as good as any other drywall saw I’ve used, plus is has a small rasp. Don’t know if anyone else makes a folding saw like this, but until they do, I wouldn’t buy any other jab saw.

I can already tell this item is not professional grade. The blade wobbles. Although the rasp looks handy, Klein makes a much more sturdy folding jab saw.

The base is excellent, solid with zero play allowing and glides smooth for precision cuts compared to the common steel base on cheaper saws. The Makita 2 year warranty is always dissapointing but hopefully I won’t need to use it, powerful and solid machine.

Nice solid aluminium base plate. Lots of power. The only weak point is the guide which is weak and flimsy – the same as on the cheaper DIY model.

bought this saw to replace a 20-year old war horse that was beyond repair. Like the saw but wish I had purchased the model with the LED lighting so that my 77-year old eyes could see what their owner is doing with the line he had drawn earlier.

Otherwise the saw is very nice, powerful and cuts quickly, and will be someone’s inheritance someday.

I have owned and used my Versacut for a little under a year and a half and it along with my BladeRunner X2 saw has proven to be one of the most important tools I own. I know some say it cannot replace a 7-1/4 inch circular saw because it cannot cut 2 x 4s, but try safely plunge cutting into a shed roof with a standard 7-1/4 inch circular saw without damaging the rafters and studs and without kickback.

The ability to easily make plunge cuts even in the middle of stock is great. Also, it will cut sheets of plywood, trim boards, etc. which make up the typical stock sizes I deal with. The assortment of blades it comes with is also very handy.

I was finishing a tile countertop when my tile saw stopped working. Fortunately I had my Versacut with me which allowed me to finish the job by using the dry cut tile blade that came with it. Also, I really like the fact that it weighs less than half the weight of my 7 1/4 inch circular saw.

This, along with my cordless drill, hammer, level and BladeRunner X2 is a tool I always carry with me.

This is a useful tool as it pertains to lighter jobs. Some full-sized circulars wont cut precisely straight lines and theyre typically heavier and more durable. That said, it took me some practice to get this to cut straight.

You have to view where the blade actually hits your material before starting your cut, then take note of where your guides are at that point. Once youve done that a few times, you can become pretty consistent with your cuts and get what youd expect.

Otherwise, the saw seemed to cut a bit to the left of the line when I just trusted the guide. The laser seemed slightly off, which becomes a problem for longer cuts. I turned it off because I couldnt see drawn lines with it on.

with adequate power, longer cuts through thicker materials meant I was more likely to burn the blade. Carefully backing out or lifting out of the cut and resuming did help, but the lighter, smaller blades made long cuts more difficult than Id have liked.

Overall, a good tool for lighter work and short straight cuts.

I finally got my order delivered yesterday. Since this saw has received a lot of positive reviews, plus holiday offer, so I have it as one of my collections for future use. Did an very brief test cut this morning, everything looks great and works great! Wood blade brought very clean cut.

Have not tested yet the tile and metal cut as i don’t have any scraps on hand. Well, these are the features and good reasons i bought it as for some small works you know for household some time, you don’t have to look around finding different saws anyway.

Tried the laser guide, well, it’s good than nothing, but if you use it under enough light, then it shows not strong enough though. there is just a little defect, however, there are some rusty spots found on the cutting guide front and back, turned the increments into fussy and uncleared.

If the design includes a rubber power cord clip may top up the satisfaction, i’d suggest. Otherwise, this is a good and worth buy, and more important is a good toy for myself to play around, haha 🙂 cheers!.

i use Diablo blades in all of my Circular saws, recip saws and grinders. However, the sawsquatch SkilSaw made by Skil comes with the 10 1/4 blade. when cutting or ripping the blade wobbles. i thought it was the saw.

returned the saw and got a replacement. happened again. i bought a BigFoot blade and it worked great. the wobble on the Diablo blade bends in the wood. no way to fix it other than running an 8 1/4 or smaller saw and cut twice just to stay on the line.

Diablo, please fix this issue. cant be the same problem on both saw with 2 different blades.

I run these on all my table saws. Does t matter if I’m ripping plywood or running oak or cherry. This is a great all-in-one blade. The deal is you have to keep your blades clean. Pitch build up is going to make people think they have a dull blade.

Let me tell you that the carbide tips on these blades are incredibly durable. I take a Tupperware tub and fill it with a diluted simple green solution. Let the blade soak for 5-10 minutes and then hit it with a nylon brush.

Hand dry the blade, spray it with some BladeCote, put her back on the arbor and you’re good to go. I’ve got five table saws and some of these blades I’ve ran for years. I use my saws daily. These things hold up and withstand a lot of abuse.

For under $30/ blade I get very similar results from the blades I’ve spent over $100 for. Keep the blade clean and use BladeCote.

This is the only saw blade I will use in my saw. I’m provided with other competitors blades but I supply my own becouse nothing I’ve found stands up to these blades. As a framer I have found these blades cut smoother which also cut straighter which provide a superior product.

These blades also don’t throw giant slivers of wood at your face like most framing blades. When paired with a great saw they simply glide right through the wood giving great results.

So I had this song for a year, And I can’t really complain about it. I’ve been very pleased with its performance. I did have an issue with a few of the parts on the project table being improperly machine when I first received it.

I reached out to support they were super friendly and quickly sent out replacement parts no questions asked. Only the Saw itself began giving me some issues, So I reached out to Support once more. I received the same absolutely great service from a rep wanted to ensure I didn’t have any future issues, so they sent me a new saw.

And that the entire piece of equipment has held up well over the past year, it’s easy to set up, and verify/adjust the squareness of the track to the table. Easy to use, and easy to store, I don’t think you’ll find a better track saw for the money.

Good value for the system. Excellent for safely cutting down sheet goods. Stows away to a small footprint in my small shop. Table is great for assembly or other non-cutting tasks as well. Track is high quality.

I find it challenging to get fine tuned accuracy using the plastic positioning parts. Also, on the saw, the bevel indicator is difficult to reposition at 90 degrees. When I tighten the bevel lock, sometimes it moves slightly.

I find it difficult to check the squareness of the blade because there is no good flat surface on the bottom of the foot plate to reference a good square against. Overall, I can overcome the shortcomings to get good results.

The things that would raise my rating from 4 to 5 stars seem like obvious improvement in design or material choices to achieve greater accuracy and repeatability with less “fiddling”.

I love my new tool and there is more to learn about it than you can learn in a couple of jobs with it. One thing is when you first get it thee is a nice book with the table and the saw. They are nice but go to youTube and find the video from Kreg on the assemble.

I am not saying anything negative about the books but a picture is worth a thousand words. I am hoping that in the future Kreg puts a url to the video of the tool. There are many and they are made by Kreg.

We acquired 2 of the CMT 24 tooth 7-1/4 framing blades from morrison Brothers building center in concord nc and after cutting new and old nasty lumber – plywood/osb on a remodel job i was truly impressed we use strictly diablo blades just for the performance and longevity we get from diablo but this CMT blade held its ground and really impressed everyone.

It cut just like the diablo smooth and fast didn’t chip the osb board like other blades would have even though its a rough cut blade and is still sharp like new even after we found a few nails cutting the old floor out.

I think we will see more orange on our saws for a while and their a bit cheaper than diablo so thats another plus especially since everything is going through the roof in price.

I was not sure I made the right choice after I ordered this blade. I came across some reviews for this same blade but on a different site and a lot of the reviews was not good. They said it was China and poor quality.

After receiving the blade I installed and made a couple cuts. I was impressed this blade cut as good if not better than the Forester when it was new. I will be buying another one if you still have them in the near future.

My cuts were on 3/4 x 6 red oak. Cut like hot butter. The cut was planer smooth.

I have been using CMT router bits for many years and are my go to bit brand. So I decided to try they saw blades knowing of the quailty of there router bits. CMT did not disappoint, what a great blade.

Cuts through plywood like butter, no vibration, and cuts are clean on my veneered plywood. I would recommend these blades to anyone in the market for a new blade.
