Here is an honest review: This tool box has a a good design. All 3 levels have lots of room and can store the big, and the small with removable dividers in the middle level. BUT! it is pretty flimsy, if this thing is going to get beat up, don’t buy it.

It also isn’t water resistant, so no storing any gloves, or power tools in here if it will be exposed to rain. Its a good toolbox if it will sit in the garage, but over all cheaply made.

Pros: You cant beat the price of these units for tool storage. Dewalt quality and well designed Large capacity, wheels for mobility, Stronge build, easy open/close latch. Cons: As others have mentioned, it lacks two side handles and the ability to secure with tie down hooks.

And most important, no option to lock your tools safely inside. For such a well engineered design, the designers failed to add these details. Clearly, it makes one wonder if those in dewalts engineering department actually use their products? To store Hundreds of dollars in tools without the ability to lock them safely inside?? A no brainer.

Great product for the price, otherwise.

I am a building controls and automation QC Inspector and technician. Was carrying a box of 30 thermostats on my shoulder all day, up and down 4 floors, real pain. Bought this chest to haul the thermostats and my tools.

Strapped the box of thermostats on top of the chest for fast access. Elevator was out so I drug the chest up and down 4 floors, no problem. I had seen reviews of poor quality so I was rough the chest to see if it was easy to break.

It wasn’t. Now you should note that it is built to carry a max load of 90 lbs. I only had about half that in the chest. I didn’t use the tray but it looked good for holding my lunch while I sat on the chest, again no problem.

The wheels are only on the ground when you pick up the handle so there was no problem of breaking them when I dropped my 255 lb butt to sit on the chest during lunch and break. Yes I could have broke the handle by loading the chest to the max and beating it on the steps and twisting it but I paid around $55 bucks for it so I didn’t treat it like it was built of steel.

Works just fine as is, as it was INTENDED to be used. Lightweight and durable, all I needed.

This is my 3rd Dewalt box like this. Each one has the same problem. After lifting it over curbs and carrying it up stairs and everything else the handles break. This happens because they are only held on with a plastic clip.

I’m a Glazier and I do windows and doors for a living. We work rain snow and shine. Cold and hot. Plastic gets frail in the cold and that’s usually when my clips break. What I have done now is to measure back to the clip and put 2 screws in each clip.

So far so good. Solid box and rain proof. I use mine for a ladder alot. Oh when you sit them down make sure you ain’t still dragging the box. It will wear a hole in the plastic.

My 12 year old daughter and loves to color well it hard to be this age and just throw off what the bullies say to her I chose this book for her because what is in it she needs to here and see after she has colored the book I plan to get frames for them and hang them up in her room.

Nice heavy duty. But, can purchase cheaper from Home Depot exact same thing.

Strong toolbox, only issue is that the ribbing drastically cuts into what will fit in it. I tried to find interior dimensions, but my project still didn’t fit in it. A nice odds and ends toolbox but skip if you have something large and you are not sure it will fit.

I am an electrician. I fit all my power tools and hand tools in this kit. It’s fantastic and considering it’s a lot cheaper than other brands, you really are getting value for money with this kit. The only 2 downsides.

1) You cannot buy the top or middle sections separately to add to the kit. 2) There is no fixings/screws assortment case that can be added to it,.

I’m a very keen on caring for my cars, can’t stand to see a dirty car. Up until I purchased this I had all my polishes, cleaning products in a big plastic box, which quite honestly was getting to heavy to carry.

I saw this on the Screwfix site and bought it, now all of my stuff in stored ready to move and ready to use. There are several versions of rolling toolboxes, but the Stanley one was the best value. Love it.

This was a very nice and inexpensive tool box. I added some foam to keep my tools from sliding inside but overall this was a very good addition to my tool collection. Thank you!

Yes I know this tool box is made in China but you cant get a new Kennedy in this style anywhere. Every place I checked was out of stock. I had a Kennedy that was stolen from my vehicle. This Homak is just as heavy and well built.

Only time will tell if it holds up like a Kennedy. I am very pleased with this tool box.

I needed a toolbox to take to the track for race days/practice sessions, etc. Tired of transporting key tools from my main box and always forgetting something. This appears to be durable and a decent size.

We’ll see how it holds up over time. Bonus – comes with plastic glue-on corners for the base and some tray organizers.

I received my tool box it appears to be well made with quality fasteners. The top covers the pivot arms and keeps them aligned. Plenty of room in the bottol for larger tools. It is heavy but manageable.

I purchased five packout boxes to carry my overland gear in my 4×4. Tire gear, cooking gear, electrical. They all have their own box where everything is clean, dry and easily accessible. I love how rugged and sturdy the structures are and the bonus removable trays just complement the purchase.

I bought the two drawer box which is perfect for my fishing gear as well. The low profile clear top packout allows me to see and access fasteners and other small components without having to look through countless containers.

I love the convenience and versatility. The best part, when I remove them from my rig, they all stack and lock together in my garage until the next adventure. A+ rating.

I bought the stack when they first came out. They were $299. 00 but the store had them on sale for Christmas for $199. Which is all they are worth to begin with. I am an architect/General contractor and Farm owner.

I would never leave any tool box out in the rain. I would not work in the rain unless the farm machinery was broken in the field. I did live up in Western Washington State where we got rain and there were times I could not stop a cement pour or truss crane because of the rain.

I have never read where the pack out boxes are water proof. If you are in construction drive a van or have a enclosed construction trailer. If you can’t afford it get a top for your truck bed to keep things dry.

Don’t grumble because you had a brain fart. It is not the companies fault that your tools got wet. That is like saying you can’t drive your car because all of your tires are flat. LOL Not the car companies fault.

All tools have gone way up in price. I will not get into why but it is over a trade war and bad government management. I like the pack out. If you are a home owner you don’t need it. If you pack a lot of tools around on the job it can be great.

I have a Ford F350 4×4 with a service box. I always have all the tools I need in the field or on the farm. I am always running into workers that don’t have the tools they need. Everything gets stolen that past 30 or 50 years.

If you do commercial remodeling the pack out can be a great solution.

I also got the extra large toolbox and two of the large toolboxes and one of the large smaller organizers for my screws. I absolutely love this set up. I am so much more organized and I can take all my tools in on the job site easily and organized.

I highly recommend this pack out system. It’s a little pricey but it’s worth it in my opinion. Highly recommend! It is truly water proof. Heavy duty. Like how u can lock smaller boxes on top.

Not nearly as nice as expected from the picture and the description and what I expected from reading reviews. It looked okay at first when I opened the cardboard box that it came in. But when I opened the toolbox and put in a few of my tools, it is obvious that it is way too small to hold most my tools, and I am a 70 year old woman who is only making minor repairs.

If you have more than two screwdrivers, and a small adjustable wrench, look for something better designed. Also it is very bulky outside, and clumsy to carry and does not roll well. Too much trouble to send it back since the cardboard box was damaged.

Lousy design, flimsy material with giant ridges to stiffen the sides instead of just making the sides stronger and straight, which is why it wastes space and hardly holds any of my bigger hand tools.

Got this for my trips to auto junkyards so I no longer have to carry a toolbox around the large yard. Easily holds a bunch of tools – cordless drill, cordless impact, sawzall, hammer, wrenches, pry bars and screwdrivers as well as beverages.

The top tray halves fold out completely allowing unobstructed access to the toolbox interior as well as both upper “trays” so that tools are much easier to find without having to rummage around. Locking mechanism sometimes pops open when wheeling around, probably from the weight of the tools inside and there are no individual bins in the top as you might be expecting by looking at the photos so those are minor negatives.

Also, the pulling handlebar needs to be pulled out in order to slide open the top and not exactly waterproof, but not big issues for me. We’ll see how the wheels hold up but so far, so good.

Other big box home improvement stores and the the big online store all have the same box just different colors and different prices. This is the cheapest price for the tool box. Plus the big thing for me is that it’s all blacked out.

Other brands have black and yellow, black and red. While this one is fully blacked out so it draws less attention in the back of my suv. Best wheeled tool box for my tools and for my remote control cars.

This one is my 4th one my other 3 have different things in them for my job and hobby. FYI there was a blue and black one that Walmart use to sell but i haven’t seen that 1 in a while and just seen and bought the all black one.

Not a name brand tool box but for the price you can’t beat it. Top section can be used to organize screws and nails, middle section can be used as your go to box for tools, bottom section can hold power tools or batteries.

Had it for roughly a month now and can’t complain.

I was looking for this kind of tool box. I considered a number of other brands, including some costing 3 times as much. This met my needs and was priced at Sams under half of what it was priced from other retailers.
