Build quality and materials 1st class. Tighten it all the way back and adjust on the belt to keep the bags on the rear of your hips otherwise they cut into your groin when you need to pin skirting or other very low jobs.

Great set, comfortable, slots for multiple tools fit nice. Kind of heavy but the straps help with that. Extra 130$ but worth it.

Best Framers Belt there is, PERIOD! I own an Occidental 7 Bag Framing Belt, and I have owned it for 21 years. This is by far the Best and Toughest Framing Belt that I have ver had the privilege of wearing.

There is nothing liie the feel of good quakity hand crafted Leather. It will “learn” your body, and confirm to you, and your Tools. This system was designed by some of the Framing Carpenters in the world.

It has all the perfect Tool pockets, put in the perfect positions. Once you wear it for a week or two, you won’t have to look for anything. Your hand will go to it instinctively everytime without having to look, and the same goes for putting that Tool back in it’s place.

Might sound crazy but this is a tremendous time savings. I carry a lot of Tools and Nails, and have never felt the need for the Suspenders because of the 3″ Ranger Belt. This system is so comfortable even with a heavy load.

There are a lot of “Custom” Bag makers out there these days, and I have tried a few, nut never for very long, because I just haven’t found a Framing System yet that is as comfortable, and laid out as well as this one.

Mine is Green Leather Bags, that will tell you how old it is. Occidental quit using that color on their Leather many, many years ago. My biggest complaint with Occidental right now, is that they don’t offer the 7 Bag in Black.

When they do, is when I will retire my Green Bags. I can’t even convince them to do it as a Custom Order, which they don’t do anymore. Treat yourself with Occidental Leather.

This tool belt / pouch is excellent. It provides ample room for multiple variations of nails and has working convenient spots for sometimes awkward items such as a speed square and nail puller. It is comfortable.

of high quality and most importantly durable. I highly recommend spending the extra dollars for this set up as it will save this framer from having to buy the Home Depot high end contractor pouch every 1 1/2 – 2 years when the stitching fails.

I have had this belt for almost 6 months now and it has held up great, as expected. I wish I bought it much sooner than I had, but the price seemed hard to justify. It is absolutely not. It is a solid belt and I 100% would suggest that anyone considering this belt or another Occidental product, to bite the bullet and get it.

You will not be disappointed.

First impression was awesome but after few months of every day using suspension loops torn down. Also it is not puncture resistant- got hole in pencil pocket. Imagine pencil make hole. If they reinforce suspensions and use different materials this belt would be the best on market.

This seems to be a great product at a great price. This was a Christmas gift for my husband, and he was very happy. The quality seems to be top notch and the belt fits nicely. The suspenders (which are removable) are an added bonus.

Ian just a DIYer and do a little side work here and there but I outgrew the capabilities of my old toolbelt. I wanted something not as big as a framers rig but larger than a handymans belt and this set up was the perfect answer to my needs, it holds all my regular tools plus my cordless drill.

The best part is the easily adjustable suspenders which are very comfortable, in fact the whole system is comfortable. The only thing I would change is that I would like to see this as an American made product instead of imported, that aside Bucket Boss still created a great product.

Overall this isn’t a bad set of bags. I had been on the hunt for new bags for several years since their wasn’t enough left of my then current set to keep putting back together. I tried a couple different sets, mainly from my local big box stores, and none of them were even worthy of replacing my ratty set so I passed them along and went back to old faithful.

My fiance gambled and ordered me a set for Christmas that wouln’t have worked for me so I used the credit I got from those to order these bags. It’s extremely hard to see all the pockets and such in online pictures but these looked like they’d be reasonably close to meeting my needs.

First impressions were good. They looked to be made fairly well, and had most of the pockets I needed for my EDC. Their empty weight was IMO on the lower end. I wore them for a few days and just couldn’t get them to work for me.

The biggest dealbreakers were that there was no good place for me to put my ConstructionMaster calculator which has survived for 15 years in it’s own pocket, and that since I’m left handed/right armed I couldn’t use the speed square pocket as intended.

One other thing that didn’t work so well for me was the “one size fits all” belt. The way they do this is by having 2 spots sewn in the back support belt where it readily folds effectively giving you a small medium and large.

Me being a 32″ waist was right at the lower limit of what this rig is labeled for. I really wasn’t a fan of having all the extra bulk built up over my pants belt buckle. These aren’t bad bags at all, I just couldn’t get them to work for my specific needs.

If this is the price point you’re shopping at and they meet your needs I’d definitely recommend them. I ultimately ended up driving an hour away from home to go check out a pair of Diamondback bags since I wasn’t ready to gamble $400 on internet pictures alone.

I bought them on sight after trying them on and realizing they were what I’ve been looking for for years. I wasn’t ecstatic about the price, but after using them for about a month I’d replace with the same if anything ever happened to mine (theft, fire, etc.

). I’ve easily spent $400 on different rigs over the years and none of them were just right. Now I’ve got them, and they’ll easily last longer than the rest of my career. No more almost new hand me downs for my helpers – they’re on their own from here on out~.

Last model had riveted bags they broke in less than a year. These have riveted and stiched bags. The front left tape hook works great to hang my scre gun from. The middle pouch on the left is very tight so I just use for garabage or my phone.

The right smaller openings are a little tight as I like to keep my tape measure in one. It gets stuck on the cloth and edge but found it I put it in upside down and backwards it works! Bags felt terribly uncomfortable first time I put them on.

Second time was like a miracle and they had molded to my hips. Third time even better. Love the leather belt. The cloth belts are toast in 6 months. The hammer hook is also better as it doesn’t seem to hit behind my knees as much as the other model did.

Overall very happy. Hope it lasts longer than a year. I build Decks and finish basements.

First day of use the cheap leather loop belt holder can off. Only stapled together with paper quality staples. Should be longer and riveted. The padded belt is way to big for my average guy waist of 34 inches.

Apart the belt I love the bags.

If you are a carpenter or apprentice carpenter you need some occidental bags. These bags are very light verse the leather bags and are just as strong. These are my first occidental bags but i work with guys who have them and they are the bags you want! I could have bought these at a store around me and these are very affordable verse the store.

Having good nail bags is like having a good hammer or good saw. Try them out, you wont be dissapointed!.

Great product. I read all the reviews before I made this purchase. I will likely have this for the rest of my life. Put up with a cheap $10 tool belt that dug into my hips and always fell down. This really is a well made and quality prodiuct.

Finally spent the money and bought a set, tired of replacing pouches every couple of years. The bags are awesome, very durable and not as heavy as the leather version. I would recommend to every tradesman.

I’m a union carpenter with the 276, this means I’m proud of the work I do and demand a lot from the tools I use. This belt is everything I hoped for and more. Durable, light and convenient. Enough room for all the tools I need and the lay out of the pouches help me perform my work more organized.

Occidental is the only belt for this guy.

I am a master carpenter and I wear this belt everyday. It’s extremely comfortable, it’s very well built, and comes with lifetime warranty. What’s not to love? Occidental leather makes the best tool belts out there.

I always wanted a set of the occidental tool bags finally could afford to spend the money on some. Well worth it. my father always wore occidental tool bags the O. G leather ones. They are here for the long run.

I’m sure I was like so many other guys who kept putting off my purchase of these expensive pouches, but I have not regretted the decision one bit. My only regret is that I didn’t buy them sooner. They are perfect for me as a hardwood flooring contractor.

Best tool belt I’ve ever had, very durable. tools stay put and rarely fall out. Bags are made of very good material and hold their form very well. Comfortable enough to go through the work day with no problem.

For a commercial poultry house technician/tradesman who works on anything with electricity, LP or natural gas, water plumbing, or general construction and installation work. Pouches and belt clips are easy to position.

I’m a concrete finisher so hard work is what I do. For now I’m glad I bought this set something new! I’m not afraid of new tools… I would recommend. Fits many sizes adjustable. Have a nice day!!

I gave these an overall fair rating. They are a decent set of bags for the beginning framer/carpenter, but there are some improvements that should be made on them especially if advertising them as ‘custom’.

I am comparing them to a set of custom bags that I used to use when I was framing that I had made at a saddle shop, so for a comparison as to what I was used to, these fall well short. BTW, credentials: I was a carpenter (finish and rough), a GC in California (primarily framing) custom homes, spent over 20 years piece work framing all phases tract homes and custom homes.

Many of the pockets are stitched and riveted too tight to allow framer specific tools (ie. keel holder, pencils, squangle, saw wrench) to be inserted. To fit the speed square in between the 2 nail pouches, I needed to drill out the rivet that connected them in the middle, unknown why the rivet was installed there in the first place, doesn’t need to be.

Tape measure should be on the left side if for a right handed framer (speed reasons), but I guess that is more of a preference thing. Anyway, for a set of bags that with some personal modifications, they then can be called ‘custom’.

Right now, they are not really for the ‘Pro Framer’, they are a good starter set of bags for the beginning framer and for the DIY homeowner. Wish I didn’t misplace my bags when I retired :-/.

I bought these bags because the other big name brand wanted around $350 for their similar leather bags. I bought my first pair of these bags 12 years ago. Only reason I replaced is because the big pouch stitching came apart.

Very good bags for the money. Hopefully this pair lasts me another 12 years!.

All three of the ones I purchased quit after one or two uses. When the sprinklers rotated they were great. I really liked them until they stopped rotating.

This the second one I’ve bought. Tough and comfortable to wear. Lots of options for tools, pens/carpenter pencils, utility knives, etc. Very versatile.

I’ve had it for about a year used it hard has held up really well very comfortable only wish it came in a left hand layout

I never really had a chance to gave it a close look so I ordered the pro framing set by reviews I found online, and by videos I watched on YouTube. It is considered as THE BEST TOOL BELT and the statement is not an exaggeration at all.

Occidental Leather is really the best. I highly recommend it to everyone who is willing to pay a higher price for a pro belt that will last you for a lifetime.

The belt was not like it is in the picture. My old pouch was like the picture the one i got has a different belt and is waaayyyy to big and i have a 30 inch waist. Not impressed

i have used these bags for years the only thing that changed is the color from blue. being used to the pockets i know where all my needed tools are when reaching for them without having to try and look for them like on other high priced bags.

all in all great bags that hold enough tools and nails.

Well, it’s a good belt if you use it occasionally. But for professional framers I wouldn’t recommend this one. Not stubborn enough, survived only for like eight month.

I work in the South where it’s humid. Buddy of mine kept recommending Milwaukee tools and telling me how great they are so I went and bought this big kind of like the one he had. After a few weeks of hot humid working weather and one day in the light rain the velcro on the pouches started to slip and the suspender adjustment keeps sliding and requires constant readjustment.

Got frustrated and gave it to a helper. Maybe I just bought a bad one.

Love this tool belt. Very well balanced with thoughtfully placed pouches and features. The velcro on the pouches could be a little thicker so that the pouch doesn’t separate from the belt when it’s not being worn, but that’s probably because I had too much stuff in it weighing it down.

Not an issue at all when the belt is in use, just when hanging it up or moving it while still loaded down.

Now to start this off I do like this bag BUT it needs work for its price. the fit of this belt can be a bit wrong at times. the belt should be leather fopr the privce in my opinions because the fabric is fraying already from only 2 months of use.

The wide very stiff pockets make maneuvering around a bit hard at times, im sure this will improve over time though. I seen in another review that the tape measure clip pocket could be better. I would suggest having a finger pocket in the bottom so you can push the tape up rather than have to fit your fingers in to pull it out, small but big change.

Overall I would recommend this bag however only if improvements are made. This bag is good if your looking for something basic. it will do what it needs to do day in and day out.
