20 Best Tool Bag For Plumbers (2023 Updated)

It’s kind of hard to get a good idea of what this bag is going to be like from the picture. All of the inside pockets are quite small. The 2 mesh ones at the top can hold some pencils, markers, loose bits that’s about it.

The pieces that make the sides sturdy are pretty flimsy and the velcro for them doesnt even line up by alot not just abit so who knows how that will hold up even over a month or so(buttons may have been a better alternative).

I was overall kind of disappointed in the design and construction of the bag for the price it’s okay but not great.

Good quality bag and good value. Not massive but does me fine for carrying around my PPE, mask, ear protection ect.

This product is solid as heck. So much more practical for home use that a big bulky metal tool box. Feels like it is going to last a very long time. Also, has a ton or pockets to store and organize tools.

This bag is very well made and seems well constructed. I sold my old Ridgid tools and offered the bag they came in as an incentive. I needed a bag to replace it and this one fits the bill nicely. The only complaint I have is that the closure design is not preferred over my old bag.

My old bag had a U-shaped zipper closure that allowed me to completely fill the bag and still close it. The Milwaukee bag has a clamshell top that narrows as you zip it shut. If you try to fill this one up, it may or may not close and you will either have to re-arrange or remove some items in order to close it.

This bag is much bigger than my old bag and the construction is significantly better so overall I’m happier with it.

I haven’t used my new bag yet. I did put a 18V Drill, Impact, Charger & 2 Batteries into it as well as some Drill Bit & Driver Bit Sets. So far the thing I don’t like is the inside pockets could be bigger.

It would be nice if they were able to hold the Accessory Cases that Milwaukee sells.

The Carhartt bag was as always of very high quality. This company produces excellent products with terrific materials. The layout of pockets has been carefully positioned and the handles are strengthened quite adequately.

It is one of the best and toughest bags able to handle heavy weights for carrying whatever you can put in it. I can’t say enough of the appreciation I have for the Carhartt products. The prices for their products and the long usage speak for themselves.

Disclaimer- we haven’t gotten to put this bag to use yet. I bought this bag for my husband for his first Father’s Day. I had been trying to find “heavy duty diaper bags” online and everything was $150+ and just seemed like.

a back pack. So I had this wonderful idea to just get a tool bag (tons of pockets, different sizes, and are heavy duty enough for tool storage!) and this bag is PERFECT. My husband will have enough room and pockets on the inside for baby’s stuff plus have anything he needs (whether he’s hunting, fishing, building.

) easily accessible in the outside pockets. (Seriously this thing has a ton of pockets!) The bottom though might be my favorite part. No worrying about where you are setting it! It can get muddy/wet/fish guts.

it will rinse right off and won’t be soaking into the bag itself! After baby is out of the diaper bag stage my husband can use it as a full time tool bag then!.

Don’t get me wrong, I love this bag, it holds everything I need, and my favorite part is the plastic bottom that keeps the bag from getting wet, tools from impaling the bottom and helps hold the shape of the bag.

There are plenty of pockets inside and out. Zipper pouches are very convenient. I use one of them for a first aid Ziploc bag I put together. However, I have 2 concerns: 1. The craftsman drill does not even fit in the designated drill pocket inside the bag.

If for some reason I am missing something about how to store it, someone please let me know. 2. Not that big of a deal but the shoulder strap does not have swivels on it, so if you get the strap all twisted up, you have to untwist it.

I love Craftsman products and this is one of my favorites for sure. I used to store all my household tools in one place. It’s a very sturdy material and the handles hold up to all the weight of the tools.

I love that the bottom is flat so I can open it up and look inside to gather whatever tool I need from inside. This is a bag that will last for many years because of the Craftsman great quality workmanship.

This bag is incredibly well made. The material is thick and strong. There are pockets all along the outside for sorting and storage. There is an awesome metal clip to keep your tape measure on. It has a solid plastic bottom to keep it sturdy and water proof.

There are two zippers vertically on the front that open to a flat pocket that is then open on both sides. Maybe this is for plans or papers or something? Not sure but I’m sure it’s useful to someone! Honestly great bag and love you can stack it with other pieces in the series.

I go out a lot and take my Drone, Binoculars, water bottle, cell phone, action came and would use a small duffle bag and everything never fit. Had to go to HF for something else and walked past this bag.

I looked at other carry all bags at stores, and everything was on the expensive side over $50 in the “Luggage Departments” or “Out Door Sections”. I looked a this one, seen the inside pockets and grabbed it.

Less than $10 and what a deal ! I fit everything in it, phone has it’s own pocket, pens, paper, all nice and organized. Best thing I found, not “flimsy” or cheap, and it don’t have shoulder straps to carry which I don’t need or use that would get caught on everything and flop around like on my Duffle bag ! It would be perfect for tools ! But for me this is my out door bag.

I used to carry a Husky handbag of tools to work everyday. So I thought I could use this backpack to replace that handbag and make things easier. I took all the tools that was in the handbag and put it in this backpack.

First impressions, it was significantly heavier than the handbag, even on my shoulders. It is also somewhat thick; or puffy. For example, people who see me with this backpack think I’m carrying a lot of stuff when I’m not.

It’s thicker than my college backpack full of books and a laptop. It is kind of awkward to carry. I don’t want to use the chest strap, so it pulls away from upper chest and looks weird. However, it is a great tool backpack.

There are a variety of pockets and it does as expected. One thing I like about this bag is I can shove my lunch and drink where the cable compartment is. Give and take. Overall, I would recommend this backpack.

Bought this on Black Friday 2017 sale for 40 bucks. Its march and the zipper stitching came apart and now I cant zip it closed. Its been a good tool bag but its already falling apart. It looks tough but stitching that hold the zipper is weak, looks like one stitch for the zipper.

I thought this bag would last longer ?? Update::::: I realize now that I have overloaded the backpack with too many tools and caused it to tear. so I updated my rating.

Got tired of chasing down individual tools, so I purchased this bag, stuck most needed hand tools inside. Now, I can work on things without have to walk back and forth to my tool room. I have most everything neatly placed in the pockets.

Needed something to store my bare tools in since there’s no bag or case when you buy bare tools. pro contractor’s gear bag works great. I’m not a contractor I just put tools in the bag and place the bag on a shelf great way to store my bare tools.

Have a framing nailer finish nailer screw gun angle grinder reciprocating saw a few batteries and charger and still have a lot of room left so glad I got dg5511.

This is the biggest gear bag I have ever seen and will easily fit a 6, 8, or 10 tool kit with room to spare. It seems to be very well made and just feels and looks like it can really hold up to to a contractors level of use and abuse.

It even comes with handles on each end of the bag that really helps when lifting in and out of a pickup truck bed.

I bought this bag because I liked the look and the dark black color compared to the previous tan bag. With the hope, it would work for what needed in a tool bag. It not only worked but exceeded my expectations.

Now when I enter a customer’s business they understand that I’m there to fix something, however, I now look very professional. This bag is built good and looks great. The only thing I might have done differently is getting the bigger of the 2.

Might purchase the bigger one and used this one for my backup tools. Another awesome Klein product.

This tote is amazing! What I don’t understand is why rate a great product as being poor only because you bought a item that doesnt work for what you needed it for. They clearly state what this item is, if you would have done your research before purchase then you should have picked a tote with more pockets.

For me this item is great. I throw a wrench set from 3/8″ to 1-1/16″ in the bottom, a 3/8″ drive socket set which is in its own case, 3lb sledge, 16oz ball peen, a couple punches, chisel, wire cutters, 3/8″ drive ratchet, 10 and 12 inch adjustable wrench, long arm allen wrench set, channel locks, a couple odds and ends.

Loaded up this thing gets heavy but it is well built and can handle it. Going up steps it is fine but can be cumbersome climbing a ladder that has a safety cage around it. I found it is easier to tie the bag off and hoist it up to where your going.

Material is tough against abrasion and the plastic bottom saves the tote from excessive wear like you get with a all leather tool bag. Now if your an electrician this is not the bag for you but klein has better choices out there for you.

The inside pockets work great for single tools so you don’t have a mess of tools jumbled together. Outside pockets I put a 6″ rule, 16ft tape, soap stone, sharpies, pocket tablet, spare nuts/bolts, spare 4″ grinder cut off wheels, etc.

This bag is sturdy but will not hold a persons weight like a 5 gal tool bucket would. Now the only bad thing is that if you were to drop this thing or if it gets kicked over while on open floor grating your tools will be everywhere.

If you need a general tool bag this is the one to buy, if you need a specialized tool bag I would look around for something better. For me this thing is perfect and would buy again if something were to happen to this one.

This bag has lasted me a long time, where a lot of others show wear and tear around the bottom and pockets wear out; this has a great job of hanging on. The robust strap has a good cushion, and the body is rigid with a hard bottom.

Dropping pointed tools into the bag is no problem. Load out, it is surprising how much you can cram in here. I can take tools and materials in one bag usually if I am performing service work or limited installation projects.

This is a replacement tool bag for older Klein rolling tool bag. I couldn’t get a replacement part (one wheel came off and I lost screw) for my older bag so I decided to invest in a new bag. Brilliant bag, with one downside: pockets inside the bag are a bit useless, screwdrivers doesn’t stay in, pliers sticks out a lot it seems this bit was done only to advertise that bag has pockets.

I have few other toughbuilt bags and there pockets are spaced out in a better way. Apart from that it’s a brilliant bag, wide opening lid is amazing feature will see how long it would last.

So far so good 👍. I haven’t had the bag for to long and it’s a bit to early to make a definitive statement but from what I’ve seen so far I can definitely recommend it. It’s an expensive bag but it definitely feel sturdier than all other brand I had in the past and considering the price of so called “cheap” bags approaching £60-70 and some even £80 it definitely worth considering.

Wheels are massive and have no problem rolling over thing. And being mounted outside of the bag makes them much easier to approach in case something breaks down and need change or a fix.

I have quite a history of using toolbags on wheels. Starting with a VonHaus which was ok, then investing in a Fatmax which was absolutely rubbish and now the toughbuilt. No escaping that it’s expensive, the 5% discount helped.

But it’s a proper piece of kit. I actually feel proud pulling it along. It’s cavernous and really robust. Genuinely mega impressed!.

Really good back pack that takes a lot of tools and is easy to carry and easy to load. I can now carry a drill and torch and impact driver, including all hand tools and even laptop if required, all safe and secure.

The backpack is a little on the heavy side and thats before Ive tooled it up. Some of the pockets inside are tight and I cannot insert my pliers. Could do with some larger pockets. Otherwise its fine

I’ve had this tool bag combo for about 3 years now. The larger bag is literally hauled around daily. I travel for work and am to/from different job sites constantly (commercial construction). My truck has ladder racks so anytime in town – I have quite the walk carrying it all.

At any given time I have between 40-50lbs in it. As much as I hate that it does not have a shoulder strap – it is an awesome tool bag for the price. Nothing has failed on it other than one of the outside mesh pockets which now has a small tear (and it could have been from others throwing stuff in the gangbox or truck on top of it).

Everything else is 100% as it should be. Which is impressive to last that long in the commercial construction atmosphere. The only two downsides to these bags are they are not “lockable” and they do not come with a shoulder strap for carrying longer distances.

Loving my new Craftsman 13 inch and 18 inch tool bag combo. I received them as a gift this holiday season. My random tools that lived in holes in the back of my car and under seats finally have a proper home.

In addition, I have a second back for my tools at home to be properly stored and taken care of. Craftsman makes their tool bags out of heavy duty canvas with quality stitching. They are reinforced and at no point have I ever been conceded with the handles breaking because I threw too much weight in the bag.

In addition, the handles are thick and comfortable. They do not dig into your hands when carrying your Craftsman tool bag, regardless of the amount of weight you try to shove into the 13 inch or 18 in tool bag.

In addition to the large amount of space available in each of the tool bags by Craftsman, there are plenty of pouches and storage spaces on the outside of the tool bags. I am able to put some of those tools I use on a regular basis in an outside pocket and I am no longer spending hours digging through the bottom of an oversized tool bag looking for something that I know has to be in there somewhere.

As much as I hate to say it, I don’t believe Craftsman 13 and 18 inch Tool Bag Combo have done their best to live up to the greatness of the Craftsman Brand in general. I actually thought I might have purchased a knock off after my purchase.

The material of the bags are decent at best. The bag’s outer pockets are deep and wide enough to do the job, no doubt but, unfortunately there are no inner pockets to the bag. I didn’t like that feature or lack of, very much.

The outer mesh pockets aren’t as desirable as I thought they’d be either. Don’t try putting any smaller sized screw drivers in there, the tips push through the mesh and with normal movement they eventually rip through the mesh areas.

Last but not least is the plastic zipper. It comes off to easily and simply won’t stand up to a little bit of wear. The zipper also easily snapped right in half. I got it replaced at a local dry clean styled shop.

The new one is working very well. For all it’s worth – I would have a hard time recommending them although I still like the brand very much.

Check out the video on YouTube if you want to see a demo. Inside is spacious. There are pockets around the perimeter of the inside that alternate large, small, large, small. Small ones will hold a screwdriver, large ones will hold items like 25′ tape measure, channel locks, rj-45 crimper, etc.

Even with the inside perimeter full of tools there is still enough space inside to toss in my 18v drill and an angle grinder. Outside pockets are not really useful to me but there are tons of them if you need a place to put more stuff.

I prefer to keep all my tools zipped up inside so nothing grows legs and walks away on the job site.

First and foremost I’ve been in search for this bag within the UK for sometime till I gave up a year ago due to only finding it available in the US. I’ve viewed many videos of this bag And only now that I’ve seen it in person Can say it’s truly built for purpose.

It has huge amounts of space, both sides of the bag. If your worried only tiny drills and impacts can fit on the open side. Don’t think twice, it has plenty of height within the pocket as well as width.

As for the multiple slots there’s loads to store all sorts of tools as well as exterior pockets to store bits and bobs. drill bits, spades etc Exterior pockets also include pen pencil slots Aside from the zip pockets The base of the bag is sturdy and strong, So is the strap for the shoulder.

Wish it had a trolley wheel option as the bag is a decent size and can store many many tools, so it’s expected to get heavy. To avoid strain on shoulder. Although the hand carry handle is very well built and very strong and sturdy and comfortable to grip.

Overall I rate the bag 10/10 Minus the trolley option.

Having used this for a while and unfortunately having had it recently stolen, I’ve been looking at alternatives. I figure that it’s possible some company would have outdone Veto by now. To make a long story short, there are other “soft” tool bags out there and none come close to the Veto.

As a carpenter, I finally found the one way to not only carry around all the tools I need to do almost anything, but to also have them readily visible and not have to dig around just to find them. To top it off, the bag is constructed of extremely durable materials.

Could it be “better” for some people, I suppose so, but there’s no better solution for the greatest number of people. Other Veto bags may be better suited for other trades, but the XXL F is as good as it gets for a carpenter, and it’s not even close.

I’ll be getting another right here in a week or so for sure. The Veto isn’t the cheapest, but even on a carpenter’s budget, it’s easily worth it.

Ive been looking at this back for a while debating between it and the open kitchen top. Definitely made the right choice. Best bag Ive had by far over 20 years.

Wow. Just shipped from the Bronx this morning an’s already here in Seattle. Nice bag too; I may use it on my e-bike rack. As far as I know, this is the only place you’ll find it in fetchin’ Coyote, as well as a couple bucks cheaper.

The bottom has a nice firm board so the bag keeps it’s shape, and the interior is roomy as a two-car garage. Rothco’s quality, heavy-duty canvas is no surprise. Worth it.

Gret bag! Heavy duty. Has plenty of room for stuff. I have owned a few of the smaller version of this bag for years. The small one I had finally wore itself down after 22 years! Still going strong. I just repurposed my old one to hold tools that stay in my car.
