Review for Black skin!! Specifying because it’s frustrating when you can’t tell if the review is for black or brown skin. I switched from the Creamy Cleanser to the Oily/Problem Facial Wash, but kept using this Hydrating Toner.

And it works like a dream. Even after cleansing, I see the dirt it can remove that would otherwise be sitting on my face and most likely cause breakout. Now my skin looks alive and has not a single flake insight, but isn’t oily or shiny.

For my skin, I really recommend this toner combined with the Oily/Problem Facial Wash. My Black Skin PCA Journey: I’ve been on a PCA journey for a few months now and although pricey, it’s been worth every penny for me.

I’ve never had super bad acne problems, but even when using a hydrating cleanser, alcohol free toner, and moisturizer from over the counter, I always often had breakouts and dry flaky skin to the point where at times, I would carry around my face moisturizer with me.

So I always assumed I had dry skin. So when I started using the PCA line, I bought products for dry skin. WOW. My skin was glowing and blemishes were very infrequent, but my face was SUPER shiny all the time.

Turns out, I actually have pretty oily skin and something about the other cheaper line of products I was using, was drying out my skin. I have oily black skin and right now I use: -PCA Oily/Problem Facial Wash – PCA Hydrating Toner – PCA Clearskin Moisturizer – Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Flex SPF 50 – Deep >> Not PCA – Only use as needed when I’m sun for more than 10-15 mins – PCA Pigment Bar (just starting will review in a month or so) Check out my reviews on these and other PCA products I’ve tried.

I used this entire bottle before leaving this review. In fact I just purchased two bottles. This product will be in my regimen. I have mature aging skin and this toner is fabulous. It doesn’t dry out my already dry skin.

I have used many toners like here in the Dermstore and by far this hydrating one is the best! It really gets the very last dirt and grime off because I do a full -face beat everyday to work! My skin feels PH balanced with this product unlike other I have used that I my skin has felt raw and dry.

Reading the reviews before buying, I was a little skeptical. I mean, how *incredible* can a simple hydrating toner be? To everyone I doubted — I’m sorry. This toner truly is magical. It is so incredibly refreshing and is perfect for sensitive skin.

I’ve used PCA’s other toners, and the Smoothing toner is definitely still a staple in my routine for keeping blemishes at bay, but I’m planning on replacing the Nutrient toner with this Hydrating one instead.

It’s just a really nice toner that leaves your skin hydrated (duh) and refreshed.

I decided to try this toner after reading the reviews. Toning is one of my favorite steps of my morning and nightly skin care routine, so I like trying new ones and usually have 5 or 6 in my rotation at any given time.

I like having options so that I can switch it up according to what I feel my skin’s needs are at that time. I have been using this one about three times a week, sometimes morning, sometimes evening. It definitely does a good job.

tingles a little when applied. I like that! The only thing. I don’t love the smell. You can definitely smell hints of pumpkin. I don’t hate the smell. just don’t love it.

The Body Shop Seaweed Oil -Balancing Toner which is infused with Algae and Cucumber 🥒 is fantastic for hydrating , revitalising and toning combination oily skin.

Algae being a powerhouse of nutrients and minerals can help draw toxins from the skin. The seaweed toner also has cucumber extract that soothes skin, regulates sebum and shrinks open pores. This cult product from The Body Shop hydrates combination to oily skin efficiently without leaving the skin oily.

However, the toner isn’t free of fragrance. Hence, if you have acne-prone skin or highly sensitive skin, you can give this toner a miss.

I love this toner! It has a watery substance and is perfect for combination skin (and probably also oily skin). It’s focused on balancing oils, and normally I’m afraid that this means it’s stripping, but it’s not at all.

After use, my skin feels hydrated and fresh afterwards and it helps a lot with preparing my skin for serums and creams. It’s my favorite toner so far!.

This is my second time using this toner and it’s really great. I had the aloe version before which was great too but more for sensitive skin. This product removes dirt etc but at the same time adds moisture so your skin does not feel dry after applying it.

It does not tingle or sting when applying it either like other toners with many chemical ingredients. If you have severe acne, I do not recommend this product. This is more for individuals with minimal to average blackheads, pimples etc.

If you have cystic acne, it’s best that you see a dermatologist.

This year, the Clarins brand has completely updated its cleansing line of care products, and tonics too. I have not had time to purchase products for cleansing yet, but I ordered my favorite tonic right away.

This is a brand new facial skin lotion, not updated, not re-released, but new. Clarins Hydrating Toning Lotion with aloe vera saffron flower extracts for normal to dry skin jar design I have already stated more than once that I am very impressed with the design of Clarins care and decorative cosmetics.

Everything is simple, concise, but tasteful. The product comes in a long plastic tube with a white screw cap. On the bottle itself, in red letters, is the name of the brand and product, and on the reverse side is the composition and description of the product.

Unlike the old tonic with chamomile, the new one has a dispenser, which makes me very happy. If before this the consumption of the tonic was large, now the product does not pour out, and it can be removed as much as needed at one time.

Thanks for the great dispenser! Texture The consistency of the tonic is liquid, like water, it does not hold the shape of a drop on the hand, it immediately spreads. I did not feel any oiliness, which is very good.

The shade of the product in the bottle is sunny yellow, very positive and cheerful. And on the hand and cotton pad is transparent. Result After applying the tonic on the face, the skin becomes very soft, moisturized, there is a little stickiness, but after a couple of minutes it disappears, the product does not leave a greasy or oily film on the face.

If there is peeling, inflammation, or dry skin on the skin, then the tonic softens and perfectly tones the skin. If used on an ongoing basis, the product evens out the tone of the face, slightly removes redness.

The skin looks hydrated, healthy and radiant, there is no discomfort or feeling of tightness after using the tonic. Naturally, the tonic will not remove redness, rashes and pimples on the skin, but it will definitely soften the skin!🥰🥰😍😍.

This used to be my go-to product for YEARS. No skincare product smells better than this one. The smell is to die for, it’s very clean and fresh. It is on the pricey side for a cleanser but the formula is smooth and milky and feels really great for sensitive skin.

I’m personally a fan of thicker creamier formulas rather than gel-like cleansers since I do have drier skin and this product is suggested for normal-dry. Bad news: this cleanser has parfum/fragrance added to its formula in addition to other natural extracts that may also cause sensitivity.

If this is concerning to you, this is not the product for you. Although I really liked this cleanser, the fragrance slowly began irritating my skin and I had to discontinue use. If they cut out the parfum I would be quick to rebuy this cleanser.

Amazing Velvet Cleansing milk! Works with waterproof make up and it leaves my skin hydrated and soft! I use the Clarins Professional cleansing method and apply to my skin and tap without rubbing, the milk warms up and melts the make up! It can be rinsed or wiped off, but I found I prefer wiping it off and then wetting my face to proceed with step 2 which is the foaming cleanser.

Overall I found this is the best Make-up remover for my skin and will certainly be repurchasing in the future. It comes in a 200ml bottle which would most likely last at least six months, since you really need a small amount for each application.

I think it is certainly a good investment even though it’s pricier than average make up removers, but does an amazing job and it’s all worth it.

I have been using the DHC deep oil cleanser for a while but have been looking for a cruelty free alternative. This wasn’t it for me. I was really hoping to like this because I love the Super Bloom Vit C brightening Serum.

Overview: The product is too viscous and doesn’t pull from or cleanse the skin of impurities or makeup that may have a waxier deposit like eyebrow pencil. I ended up with so many little blackheads and tiny whiteheads.

After rinsing the feeling of the product left behind is thick and not the lightweight dewy I was expecting or am used to. It was sticky. I’ve used it sink side and in the shower to try to give it its best opportunity to melt away.

It’s not drying but I feel like I’d get the same results dunking my face in oil and blotting it away. The star is deserved solely because the glass packaging and pump are sturdy and well made. I did take the travel size Kari Gran cleansing oil on a short trip we took and I enjoyed it though the price feels a little steep for my budget.

Overall the Roven Super Bloom Daily Dew Cleansing Oil is not the replacement to DHC for me.

I’m in love with the entire Roven Super Bloom line of skin care products, however the Illuminating Gel Moisturizer might be the one exception. I have rosacea and super dry skin and unfortunately the Illuminating Gel Moisturizer just wasn’t enough for me.

I found myself needing additional moisturizing products through the day. This product was provided to me to test and review, and is specifically designed for people with oily to combination skin. My experience with this product is probably as expected, and not a reflection on the product, but just a result of poorly matched skin care needs.

I will say that the moisturizer is very thin and light weight. The gel goes on super smooth and absorbs instantly and wears very well under makeup. I would also note that my skin is sensitive, and this did not bother me at all.

I was fed up, having tried many products for my acne over the years, while it just got steadily worse. About two months ago I started using The Ordinary’s niacinamide and zinc serum, which helped calm and heal my acne, but wasn’t helping prevent breakouts really.

I knew I needed to add a cleanser, but I wanted something natural and gentle, especially since the air is very dry where I live. I got this cleanser about 3 weeks ago, and the difference is amazing!! My skin is so much clearer and improves every day.

I feel confident! It’s possible this could change over time, if so I’ll update my review, but when this bottle runs out I’m definitely getting another!!.

I love this product! I contacted Biotherm when they discontinued the other product which I LOVED EVEN MORE. They said this was the closest next thing. I tried it and fell in love. I hardly leave enough time on a work week morning for a proper skin care routine.

But luckily I just wipe this all over my face and neck and feel like I’ve put on lotion plus. At a minimum, I use it twice a day. Sadly, it went up in price but inflation right? I have sensitive and oily skin.

This is an excellent toner. I have very sensitive dry/combination skin. I require a toner that removes any remaining cleanser, balances the ph of my skin and helps other skincare products absorb well into the skin without irritating my skin.

This product does all of that perfectly. Unlike a lot of other toners, this product does not remove moisture from my skin or further dry it out. It actually feels nourishing and soothing. I have used this toner for years and I will continue to use it in the future.

I started using this for the seven skins regimen. I am obsessed with this stuff! It smells so freaking good! So crisp and refreshing, it’s like tea tree without the minty smell. I can’t describe it, but the cleansing balm smells the same as this too.

It’s amazing! The toner/essence is actually pretty hydrating for how dry it is right now. I didn’t have high hopes for the toner, but it’s going to be an addition to my skin care routine. Patting this into your face instead of wiping with a cotton ball actually gives your face a beautiful glow.

For this toner, I don’t know if it would be enough to use as your sole toner, but it’s definitely a good one to use at night or in the morning. Way to go e. l. f. for kicking up the quality of their products and keeping them affordable! I’m definitely going to be trying the facial cleansers next!.

I love this toner. I have never used a toner before, aside from using pure witch hazel which dried out my skin. But this toner is perfect for people with sensitive skin and I would said combination skin.

Some areas of my face get more dry than others but my T zone is oily. It works fantastically. I start with the Holy Hydration Cleanser then apply this toner and follow it up with the fragrance free Holy Hydration cream.

It’s totally changed my skin care routine, that was otherwise barely existent. Highly recommend.

I bought this yesterday to try it, I didn’t stop to read the ingredients and I wish I did. The second ingredient is alcohol! NEVER USE ANY SKINCARE PRODUCT IF ALCOHOL IS IN THE TOP 3 INGREDIENT LIST! My favorite every day toner. Unlike many, which contain alcohol, this alcohol-free toner attracts moisture helps prep the skin for the rest of your routine. It’s also perfect for a mid-day refresh and feels great on your skin.

It smells like a light cucumber white tea combo, not at all overwhelming with a perfect hint of floral. I have been buying this for years and have seen all the different types of packaging; this is the same as the see-through bottle with the green label, as some of us long purchasers may remember! I got this product in a BoxyCharm and decided to try it out after my previous hydrating toner ran out, thinking that this wouldn’t irritate my skin because this was labeled a “hydrating toner. ” Within a week I began getting very painful cystic breakouts that I normally only get due to stress, which is what I chalked it up to at the time.

However, as the second week went by I noticed that my normally oily face was consistently dry and would even burn when putting on my phyto or hyaluronic serum after the toner, which has only happened when there has been trauma to my skin (like a chemical peel).

I immediately stopped using and checked the ingredients and saw witch hazel is one of the first listed and knew that was the problem, as witch hazel dries out your skin. This was actually really upsetting to me because the bottle is labeled as hydrating, the details on Sephora only talk about it being hydrating and don’t mention witch hazel, and when you do check the ingredients the key ones listed also don’t include witch hazel! The only way you are aware of this is if you actually read the ingredient list and see it there at the top.

I naively used this without checking what was in it but it also seems like this product was marketed as something it’s not. As soon as I stopped using this my skin began to recover and go back to normal.

Not only does this actually help clean my face but it hydrates it instead of drying it like most toners do. Again I love the design of this, makes it easy to use and actually want to use. Most toners have a hole and you dab on a cotton round or ball or whatever.

Making it a pain and more likely to skip in your routine. Not this design, I’m keeping the bottle after I use it to pour my others in it.

I’ve tried many many toners from different continents for almost 35 years now (I’m in my late 40’s). And this is the one for me. I do not use cotton pads unless I particularly feel the need as it’s far more important not to rub the facial skin (it’s as thin as a tissue paper, you know!), but instead I warm some in between my palms and gently put my hands on and wrap my face, followed by gentle pressing/patting will do.

It takes longer than using cotton pads, but this great toner will sink in and moisturise AND act as a great conductor to following treatments (serum/cream etc). By the way, I apply the toner 3 times before serum etc.

I absolutely adore the minimal, recyclable packaging with the twist top. I use this twice a day. Once in the morning before my antioxidant serum and once at night before moisturizer. When I saw that coconut oil was on the ingredients list, I was a bit nervous to try the toner essence.

After two weeks, the toner has helped so much with my dry skin from wearing masks. I did not break out from the coconut oil. I have no new closed comedones, no peeling skin with dry patches anymore. My skin is very happy, healthy, hydrated, and glowy.

I don’t mind the fragrance. It’s a delicious fruity green tea smell. I feel that it fits Rihanna’s personality and her skincare line very well. Tamarind and hyaluronic acid are being highlighted as the star ingredients in the essence, but I think that glycerin is the one you should be on the hunt for in the ingredient list if you have dry, cracked skin.

The combination of glycerin, squalane, niacinamide, and Zinc PCA will really hydrate, plump and strengthen your skin barrier, which this toner has and more. My skin type used to be combination oily but gets drier as the season changes and with the mask-wearing.

Give this a dry if you have dry skin or acne from wearing masks, and don’t be too nervous about the coconut oil. If the ingredient was formulated into a toner essence, it’s not the same as using coconut oil on your face.

I’m a 25 year old male. I sample a lot of different skin care brands and products and I always give an honest review about what I think. I received this Fenty Skin product as a sample product as well, and this time is no different.

Overview: This isn’t the first Fenty Skin product I’ve tried and it won’t be the last. Everything I’ve tried from Fenty is high-quality and worth every penny in my opinion. I exercise a lot and I live in Texas where it’s incredibly hot, and all that sweating and heat tends to dry up my skin.

I’ve tried many moisturizers, but this one is different, as it’s not a moisturizer, it’s a toner that hydrates. I was skeptical when I first poured it into my hand, as it felt heavy and gooey, but boy when it touched my face I instantly knew it was a game changer.

I’ve been using it for about a week and half now and my girlfriend has already complimented me on how good my face looks. This product helps your face recover from dry skin and keeps it moisturized/hydrated, all while evening out your skin tone.

This cleanser is really light and does a great job. My skin is quite sensitive and tolerated this product perfectly. I also really like the large pump action container.

After using a new topical acne treatment that extremely dried out my skin, I needed a new toner to replace my holy grail Thayer’s Witch Hazel Rose Toner. Don’t get me wrong, I still love that toner to death.

But I wanted to try something new that would leave my skin feeling both clean AND hydrated. So when I found out that Shopper’s was carrying Kylie Jenner’s skincare line, I decided to try her Vanilla Milk Toner.

I’ll be honest, I don’t love it enough to be my new holy grail. But I do like it a lot to continue using in the meantime. It has a much thicker consistency that I initially expected. Very creamy and milky.

Hence, the name. As directed, I use a cotton pad to apply it onto my skin after cleansing and it seems to do the trick! I really enjoy the gentle vanilla scent because it isn’t too overpowering. However, if you’re someone that absolutely detests fragrance in their skincare products, I wouldn’t recommend this one.

I, for one, don’t mind it so I can truthfully say that this toner does good for my skin and I would definitely purchase it again.

This is one of the first Kylie Skin products I purchased when the brand officially launched (before it was available at Mecca), and I am on my 3rd bottle now! This toner makes your skin super soft, silky and smooth.

Especially when you take into consideration a lot of toners can be quite drying this is of the hydrating kind. It feels amazing straight after cleansing my face. I typically only use it in the morning to prep my face for a super smooth and hydrated face.

At night time I only use it if i feel my skin needs a bit of calming or feels quite dry and want to take a break from my usual night toner that has glycol acid. I think this is such great product especially for anyone with sensitive or dry skin, perfect for winter and just overall great for a calming product before getting into anything else.

I bought this in store as I had been curious about it after reading a glowing review online. The bottle was cute and pink. I was was already sold. I did not have great expectations for this product as I mainly just use witch hazel as my daily toner.

i loved this product. My skin has always been very dry and pasty looking and the colour in my face has always had an uneven skin tone. When I ordered this product I was abit wary at first and when I got it I thought it wouldnt work on my skin.

The results didnt happen straight away but after a couple of days it looked way better and my skin tone was more even and it brought all the colour back into my face and my skin looked brighter and felt so smooth.

I really love this product and ive had it for a couple of weeks and the bottle still has a lot of product left. I highly recommend and if you have skin like mine this toner will help you out alot and leave you feeling more confident and comfortable in your skin.

about a year ago I started working with one of my friends on my skin. my goal was wedding ready but I loved the results of my VI Peel and Micro-Needling so I kept going. for me, after the 48/72 hour mark of a treatment, my skin gets really really dry and very sensitive, especially with chemical peels.

this toner is a must! it’s mild and it’s super hydrating. when my skin is being reintroduced to my products, I always start with this. I use it morning and night. it hydrated well and my complexion always look healthy with this.
