I hesitate to give 5 stars on any item I purchase. Especially since the toilet has just recently been installed. I am pleased with the look, my wife has wanted a skirted toilet since they came out as the skirted look makes for ease of cleaning.

The height increase and the elongated bowl is a nice change from our old one. I am impressed with the quality of all components and the customer service response to my request to be sent the 2 plastic side covers as the unit I purchased did not contain them.

I love this toilet. I had one for several years, it never clogged. In new house I bought two. Plenty of water in the bowl to keep it clean. Excellent flushing when paired with the studio dual flush tank.

It’s not too high, but not too low: it can be a little tricky to secure as I’ve had to shim the wobble, but it’s lack of clogging and beauty of design is worth it don’t hesitate!.

Easy to clean, almost cleans itself. Easy to clean the floor around it. What an improvement! Easy to install. Water saving efficiency. I bought one for my cottage and liked it so much that I bought three for my house.

My sister liked it so much, she bought two for her condo.

We had 3 of these toilets and love the height and quiet flush. No clogging. But this 4 th one was bought to replace a leaky American Standard toilet. Every time you flush it, it gives off an annoying high pitched whine.

Brand new home 2 of these toilets, one needing to be replaced after just 1. 5 years. Went thru EVERYTHING, rebuilt the whole In side and cleaned out everything. Still wont flush. Looking online seems to be a common problem.

New one will not be Kohler.

So far so good. Installed it last night and as some other reviews have mentioned the installation is not for the weak. Be prepared to do some work. Had to drill 4 holes through my tile floor which was not easy at all.

Tile is extremely tough to drill through but once through the tile, the concrete goes much smoother. I had my masonry bits turning red from the heat at the tip. And my water valve was about a half inch away from me not being able to install the toilet but with a little finesse I was able to get it in there.

The base of the toilet ends up being completely up against the wall so I had to remove some of my baseboard to achieve the right placement. With all that being said, it was all very worth it in the end.

Great height, love the eleongated seat and the flush is perfect. I somewhat purposely tried to stop it up with a lot of paper and it pulled it all down each time. Seems I would have successfully stopped it up at one point but it eventually pulled through in the end.

Installation: Get ready to sweat a little. Performance: 5 stars.

TOTO is the best. I have a distance of 14″ from my flange bolts to my wall. I had to buy a toilet that is compatible with my 14″ on center distance. This model comes with the standard 12″ on center adapter.

I had to purchase the 14″ on center adapter (sold separately). I picked this model after reading all the positive reviews. The reviews were right. It was easy to install myself and it works very very well.

Easy and quick flush. Great for kids’ bathrooms.

After an extensive rebuild/upgrade of a cabin for our Son and his wife to live in, to save for a new house, they were discouraged to be faced with a constant wet toilet. It would condensate constantly, causing damage to the floor and base molding.

We researched for a solution, and found this toilet. It has fixed the concern, and the relative humidity of the tiny cabin has been reduced by 7-15%. Their cats are finally used to the powerful flush, even though the refill is quieter than the standard toilet it replaced.

We are getting older, and our knees aren’t what they used to be. We needed a higher round toilet in a tiny half-bath AND with a non-standard 10 inch rough-in. We tried local without success, so we went on line and found this model.

It was a breeze to install, and uses about half the water of the 50 year old model it replaced. It flushes efficiently and is a perfect fit for our needs.

If you have a dog make sure you flush twice. Otherwise yellow urine will seep back in from the drainway ten minutes after you’re out of the room. I am both a homeowner and a contractor. I’ve had success with Toto products in NYC where they’re popular with architects.

It does not flush solids reliably looks good. That’s where the good ends and the somewhat adequate begins. It does not flush “solid” material nearly as well as the 60 dollar toilet in the same house.

You may be able to use a plunger. You’ll find you get good arm exercise and really work those biceps and those pecs before you give up and buy a snake. Unfortunately snakes for toilets cost about as much as toilets.

You may want to just break the material up with your hands to save your back and money. BOTTOM LINE: It’s just okay. It usually flushes but not always. It never seems to clear even urine completely. It makes a lot of noise.

On the other hand it’s easy to clean and TOTO is a nice sounding word.

**2 year update** Well, after having 2 of these for 2 years I’m knocking 2 stars off due to this model being EXTREMELY clog prone. Sadly I have to leave a dedicated plunger by each of these as it happens often enough.

Too much paper or a large “deposit” and this thing will clog, guaranteed. Disappointing because everything else seems to be well designed. VERY IMPORTANT: if you buy this toilet, your standard round rubber plunger will NOT work well due to the Toto key hole design of the drain port.

You wouldn’t think it would be possible to have such a positive experience with a toilet but this product is truly fantastic. 1-piece is absolutely the way to go, I will never mess with another top tank gasket replacement again.

The fill valve and flapper assembly come pre-assembled so there is nothing to do but mount to the floor and hook up the water supply. It uses very little water and performs effectively with no issues.

It fills fast too and is usually full before I’ve finished washing my hands. The toilet will arrive via freight truck on a pallet secured with Styrofoam and cardboard. Items of note: -Cotton White will match your standard white porcelain tub and sinks -elongated should be your choice unless you have an extremely small space that makes that unworkable -This model is standard height, probably exactly the same height as the potty you’re replacing -The lid and seat are soft close and honestly feel cheaper than they should considering the high quality of all other components.

These pieces are made of light plastic and can flex a bit when pressed on the porcelain with weight. -The water tank is physically smaller than traditional 2-piece toilets so will expose more of the wall behind the tank.

You may need to do some painting and texturizing with more wall exposed. -This model does NOT have Sanagloss so will clean just like the porcelain you’re used to. I read many complaints about Sanagloss so steered clear of it.

I’m an extremely satisfied customer and if the need arises, I won’t hesitate to buy this again.

Super tiny toilet – I bought it because it was supposed to be a power flush but it really is just like my other Kohler toilets. It looks like a child’s toilet when installed because it is so small. Huge disappointment.

Especially since it is a normal flush system.

Everything we expected. Looks great! Sits higher than standard toilets. Low water usage per flush, but has to be the loudest toilet we’ve ever heard. People can hear the flush next door! Tried installing something on top, but no luck.

I liked it all with the exception of the multi ring. rubber gasket from the down pipe to the toilet. It leaked water @ every flush no matter what I tried. My installation now has NO more gasket but does have a heavy.

fill of RTV sealant at the junction point. I left the job for a few days. Hopefully when I get back I can razor blade off the excess and make it neat. looking ??. I would have ordered the “top feed” base had I known this.

and not the. “rear feed” base. The gasket has to be better on the top feed and less likely to leak with the. heavy blast of water from up-high.

The toilet is advertised with a seat, but it did not come with a seat. The instructions even allude to a seat. It’s going to be difficult for me to find a matching seat since it didn’t come with one.

The installation is not a simple affair. 6 pages of instructions and I still have leftover pieces.

We needed a new toilet so why not buy a cool one 🙂 This has low profile, strong flush, comfortable seat, but what makes it cool are the extra features. The low fan that comes on when you sit down that dissipate the odors in the toilet and the night light set on a timer so you can see the toilet without turning on other lights are cool and fun.

I noticed the hole is small. After I flushed some poop marks were showing. i never had that problem with my American standard toilet.

I am very pleased so far with the purchase. It works well and is tall enough that I am very comfortable. I am especially happy that the delivery man was nice enough to bring it up to my condo. Thank you !!!!.

Apparently, the installation of this toilet is different from most. It has a “boot” instead of using a standard wax ring. My plumber was reading the directions! However, he installed it just fine, and he mentioned that it was super stable.

I bought two of these, but only one has been installed so far. I will try to update this after I watch the second installation a bit more closely. Toilet works just fine.

Functionally the unit works perfectly but the finish inside the bowl is sub-par. We purchased a white, bone & black unit. Residue sticks to finish on all 3 and requires brushing after almost every use.

Our 22 YO American standard bowls never had this problem. In addition the black unit shows water spots after every flush. It always looks dirty no matter what I do. The outer portion of the bowl is very easy to clean due to the sleek design and the flush is very powerful and uses little water.

Toilet looks great but always leaves dirt on bowl after a deposit. Made with Vitreous China and paired with Aqua Piston technology for more powerful and cleaner flush, I totally disagree. Also states easy installation.

This was not easy. Skirt cleans nicely and easily but bowl does not clean with flushing, leaves specks of waste on the bowl every time. Average toilet with above average price. Like looks, size, comfort height, easy cleaning externally.

Don’t like bowl holds dirt every time. Aqua piston flush, vitreous China, fully glazed trap way, and easy install do not live up to their hype.

I recently left a review of this toilet but placed it at 1 star. by mistake. will try to remedy with this. I took ALOT of time to read ALL the reviews of ALL the toilets. This was the only one that had almost all positive feedback.

So I went with that. Just installed last week. Was easy to install, nicely assembled & excellently packaged. The flush is awesome – super strong & quick, also cleans the bowl. Quiet & fast refill. Very nicely built unit.

Porcelain is very nice also. I checked for some casting flaws & found none. After a week, I can say I actually really like this toilet – kids do as well. The “right height” is also fine for kids (15 & 12 yr olds).

I’ll be buying another for my ensuite. Get one.

Installed this toilet just over a month ago and absolutely love it. This was my first toilet install and it couldn’t have been easier, wayyyyy easier than I thought. The components in the inside of the tank come all assembled an installed, so easy.

I am 6′ the toilet is the absolute height, I had no idea what I missing out on. lol The tank fills with water in about 30 seconds, maybe less. The flush is so aggressive, in a good way, the suction out reminds of a plane bathroom.

The only down fall of this toilet is there are a few more nooks and crannies on the base of the toilet, harder to clean. But hey with a flush like that who cares.

I was worried at first because some reviewers said it did not flush properly – that’s mostly what you buy a toilet for! Installation was like any other toilet. Tightening the tank to the bowl (i guess) was the key? Flushes very well.

Fills quickly and quietly. Looks good. Love the chair height. Ask me in one year and we can go to town then.

I had been needing to replace my old toilet with a chair height unit for quite a while but kept putting it off. When it finally became necessary to replace several components in the old toilet I finally decided to go ahead and get a new one.

I chose the Cadet 3 chair height unit because of customer reviews, American Standards quality and it’s price. My son installed the unit with very little trouble and the toilet worked perfectly after installed.

Personally, I definitely don’t like the provided seat and it will be replaced soon. The only other oddity I’ve noticed is that you have to hold the flush lever down to get the unit to flush. Very odd.

Anyway, the chair height is much more comfortable and easier to get up off of. This unit meets my basic expectations and I would recommend it.

I bought two Champion 4 toilets. One works fine. The second toilet, the plastic flush assembly gasket started to leak within a few months of installation. I replaced the gasket. The new gasket lasted a few months and then leaked.

After leaking tiny amounts of water for months down the inside of the bowl there are orange (iron in our hard water?) mineral deposits on the porcelain (ugh) that appear to be not removable even with scraping.

I may have to replace the whole plastic flush valve assembly to stop the leak. I don’t use additives in the tank. These toilets are under warranty and American Standard mailed me new gaskets, no charge.

Let’s see if they work.

This toilet has changed my life. For the year before I bought this, I had been plunging our toilet 3-5 times a week, when I got home from work around midnight, from my 8 year old’s bowel movements. Pretty much any time he went it would plug up.

He could get some of them but often neither my wife nor he could get it so would save it for when I got home from work. My favorite welcome home surprise I’m sure you know. Often it could take me 30-60 minutes to get the toilet unclogged.

After buying and installing this TOTO I spent the next 7 months watching my plunger gather dust. GLORIOUS! I can’t praise the product enough. It’s shiny, cleans up nicely, stays clean longer, looks nice, comfortable to use, and most importantly.

IT FLUSHES EVERYTHING!!! Most of the time the 1/2 flush gets everything, but occasional usage requires you to hold the handle down to do a full flush (see my son’s bowel movements above) and rarely it requires a second flush but I didn’t have to use the plunger even once in 7 months.

On top of that it shaved off about $15 off my water bill. At least that’s to what I contribute it. I don’t think we changed any other usage of water and our fairly consistent bill of $95 went down to $80 the first month and stayed there till we filled the pool up in the backyard.

We moved this month. First day in the new house. I’m back to plunging my son’s bowel movements. *cry* This is a rental but, even still, I plan to ask the landlord if I can install another TOTO as soon as I can spring for the cash to get one.

I miss my TOTO.

We’ve had this toilet for about a year. It works fine. no clogs or mechanical issues yet. So, overall, I would recommend, but there are a few issues: 1. the shape of the bowl isn’t smoothly bowl like.

Hard to explain what I mean, but the result is that you have to really work to clean out the “corners” (not really corners but. you’ll see. ). Doable but more effort than I’d like. 2. It took some twiddling with the floater mechanism to get it to fill the tank enough to get a righteous “whoosh” flow.

We had to set the floater to the very very tip top of the inflow tube, such that the water is almost over the tube opening. 1 mm lower and it doesn’t flush with full strength, 1 mm higher and it would flow forever due to never quite triggering the floater.

I read online that this toilet will fit a 9. 5-in setback. It’s true! We’ve put up with the same dumpy toilet for years because we never could find one to fit the space. So excited that this one works.

The toilet flushes quiet and works well. I have no complaints. You would not want to buy this toilet though if you had a regular 12-inch setback. There would be too much of a gap between the tank and the wall.

Installation tips for the American Standard Boulevard One-Piece Toilet Model 2891 This toilet is challenging to install. Some reviewers claim it’s easy to install. That may well be true in an aircraft hanger with assistance from a body-builder or two.

In a small powder room with restricted access either side it was not easy. Here are some thoughts on making it easier. It is heavy, 117lbs. Unlike any two-piece toilet where the tank and bowl can be separated, that’s not possible here.

That not only makes it challenging to lift single handed, it’s also difficult to find good hand holds and balance, particularly when trying to position it over the flange bolts. A muscular assistant or “Plumber’s Mate” is definitely recommended.

I wouldn’t recommend installing the seat until you have the loo in its’ final position. This means you will need to use the top mount option for the seat. If you decide to use the under-mount option for the seat, you’ll obviously need to do this before positioning the loo since there’s no way access the nuts from behind or underneath unless you’re like the Elastigirl mum character from “The Incredibles” and have exceptionally long thin stretchy arms.

Putting the seat on first will make the loo heavier and even more difficult to get a good hold on. The top-mount bolts had me flummoxed momentarily. It takes a lot more turns of the bolts than you’d expect before they start tightening up on the rubber plugs, but they do eventually.

Haven’t had any experience yet of the catapult effect with the seat reported by some users as the bolts loosen. How to get the loo onto the closet bolts without giving yourself a hernia or broken foot.

After several attempts with the help of my wife, son and iPhone video projected via Apple TV providing close ups of the tiny hole where the bolt should pop up through, we gave up. At this point in proceedings, sweating and breathing heavily, I wanted to fetch a sledge-hammer and make some “adjustments” to this product.

We just couldn’t hold the toilet above the bolts for long enough to get it positioned correctly. I did consider buying one of those engine hoists that mechanics use to dangle the bog over the waste pipe.

I realized this wasn’t going to work either as the legs on these things are splayed and it would not fit into our narrow powder room. The solution I came up with required 2 air shims and 2 wooden blocks.

Be careful with the closet bolts you use. If they are too long you will not be able to get the washers and nuts on. The access holes on the sides are small. I found some 2 ¼” bolts worked well. Don’t use longer ones and cut them to size, this can mess up the threads and make it impossible to get the nuts to thread on.

With the bolts positioned in the flange I measured the height from floor to the top of the bolts and added 1/8”. I then cut 2 * 6” long blocks to this height. The idea here is to provide a stable platform to support the loo and provide a little clearance above the bolts.

I placed one of my blocks at the back against the wall, the second at the front of the toilet base. I marked up some blue decorators tape on the floor and sides of the loo to help roughly line up the bolts with the holes in the base.

I positioned the air shims either side, close to the front block, being careful not to get them over the flange. The shims I used ($15 each from a well known home improvement store) can each support up to 300lbs.

They also inflate to a height of 2 ½ inches, just right here. With them pumped up to their maximum height, carefully remove the front block, the toilet will now be supported by the shims. The shims can then be slowly deflated, same amounts on each side, as you do this keep checking the bolts to ensure they are coming up through the holes.

Once up through, fully deflate and remove shims. At this point the toilet will be angled slightly downwards away from the rear wall as it’s still being supported by the rear block. Have your helper reach in behind to remove the block as you gently lift the back of the loo.

Lower and level onto the Wax Ring. Beware the Wax Ring. I started out using a Next by Danco Perfect Seal Wax Ring. This is fancy. It has a collar, inserts, adapters etc. Even in it’s most basic configuration, without the inserts and adapters, I was unable to get the base of the loo onto the floor.

Removed loo, cleaned off wax and then tried a basic wax gasket. This worked. Finally, the toilet was installed over the waste pipe and bolts and level! This wasn’t however quite the end of the saga. After hooking up and turning on the water supply line, no water flowed into the tank.

The tank has a pre-installed Fluidmaster filler / flush valve. The problem was the Float Cap, which needs to move up and down unimpeded. It was rubbing against the back of the toilet bowl and unable to move.

Not sure if this was just installed carelessly but by this point I wanted to continue with the rest of my life. My quick fix was to carefully wedge a synthetic wine cork behind the Fill Valve Cap. This pushed the Float Cap a tiny bit further out, just far enough away from the tank wall.

Hey-presto, water in tank. The good news is that after a few days in use it’s working well, a strong flush for big jobs and easy to clean. The bad news, when we finally get round to re-modeling the powder room, I’ll be removing and re-installing once again.

I know it’s tough to imagine but, yes, a toilet can be elegant. This is my second one of these. My designer found this a couple of years ago when we remodeled the master bath. We just got another for the guest bath.

Extremely well designed and crafted. Dual flush uses less water for liquids and a little more for solids; less water overall as it’s a highly efficient flush mechanism. Very quiet flush so you don’t wake your spouse in the middle of the night — and the soft close lid means you don’t have to worry about dropping the lid.

VERY easy to clean: 1-piece construction means less seams to catch dirt. Clam-shell lid easily detaches for cleaning by pressing a couple of buttons on the hinges. It’s a little pricey and, I imagine, will cost more for parts than an ordinary toilet when the unique flush mechanism needs to be replaced.

I’d recommend professional, 2-person installation as you’ve got to handle the weight of the single-unit base and tank when you’re setting it in place. Ships on its own palate. Highly recommended!.

I’ve installed and used Porcher toilet fixtures for a long time 20+ yrs. I have an older (Porcher-France) ‘Veneto I’ (with GroheDal flush mechanism) and this newer US ‘Boulevard’ toilet (Note: American Std bought “Porcher” for their superior fully-porcelainize siphon and efficient flushing action).

The ceramic toilet castings and porcelain are excellent on both fixtures. map-testing. com). The independent ‘MAP’ ratings list this “Boulevard” as one of the very highest efficiency (flushes the largest amount of waste material) of all toilets made world-wide. As for strength of the ceramic casting and toilet seat, it would stand up to a “gorilla” :-)).

it is one of the best toilet fixtures and seat made. The seat “quick removal” is excellent for occasional thorough cleaning. I know because I have done it regularly for years! And last, but not least, it is a REALLY BEAUTIFUL FIXTURE !!.

I bought this toilet in January 2022 and hate it everyday. It doesn’t even flush just toilet paper down. The company tried to be helpful and sent various parts to me to try in case the original parts were defective but that didn’t help.

On top of the original cost of the toilet, I had to pay a plumber to come out to change the parts several different times at $95 a call. My line was snaked and then I had to pay an additional amount to have my sewer line cleaned in case that was a problem.

The only reason I bought this toilet was because I was having surgery and I wanted the tallest toilet I could find. There was nothing wrong with my previous toilet. I am an older, single woman who has to plunge this toilet several days a week.

I also bought the bidet that goes with the toilet. My plumber has looked at it several times and says he cannot tighten the bidet anymore or he’s afraid the brackets will break. So my bidet does not sit tight on my toilet seat.

It wiggles around making it ineffective. I’m not sure why I have these issues. I had none before I purchased this toilet and bidet. I will say the company tried to help and were very pleasant.

Okay, after you put a toilet seat on this it is 22 inches high, which I anticipated. I put some plywood on top of our old toilet to raise it to the 22-inch height and got my wife to sit on it to see if her feet would touch the ground because one lady claiming to be 5-6 said she couldn’t touch the floor.

My wife is 5-6 and she had no problem so we went ahead and ordered this throne. Aside from a funky Kohler toilet seat I ordered, which curves inward and is uncomfortable, we are both happy. It does take some getting used to, but I knew that and I am getting there.

My wife has no complaints what-so-ever. I had it shipped and the first toilet was broken. The UPS driver came to my door and had me check it because he’s a nice guy. The bowl sounded like broken china when he tipped the box and I refused it.

Support service was easy to reach and she sent me another, packed extra padding and it got here all in one peace within about 4 days. She said all I had to do is take a photo of the broken toilet and send it to them and they would replace it, although I didn’t have to do it because UPS send them a reply that I had refused it.

I do appreciate not having to sit so low and also the price was right compared to some of the 19-20 inch toilets which could cost $350- up to $700. I only took 1 star off for the fact that Signature could have put the extra padding in the first place and saved me the extra four days of waiting.
