20 Best Toilet Bowl Drop In (2023 Updated)

I received this via fedex ground in 2 boxes with a total weight of about 125 pounds. Both were extremely well packaged and damage free. Replaced the toilet in my upstairs bath. Word of advice is get help to move as it is very heavy and bulky.

I went through directions and checked contents. I was surprised to see that there was no wax ring included. Make sure you are aware. of this before beginning installation. The existing installation is in an alcove which made this toilet a tougher install than i was expecting.

After placing wax ring and adding painters tap on floor and toilet to aid in lining up on flange bolts i placed the bowl. It took a while to figure out how to get nuts and washers installed. The holes in side of tank didnt allow my hands to reach the bolts and i finally ended up laying on the floor and reaching thru the back of the toilet to get them installed.

Tank and supply install was okay,no real problems. Unit is beautifully made and instructions are very good. Seat is a slow self closing unit and has a unique install method ,at least to me, using expanding rubber plugs.

Now for most important part of review,wife loves it !!! Its very modern in appearance and porcelain is beautiful. Just remember it is heavier than you thought and check instructions before starting.

Great looking toilet. Flushes without a problem. I had read it was very noisy and loud. This is not true. The flush is quick and of course has a flushing sound. What else would you expect? Have owned it for over a week.

Very satisfied in all respects. Highly recommend this product. I was initially unsure if the 1. 28 GPF would be problematic compared to my other 25 year old toilet. I am glad Toto has perfected this model to work fast and efficient,.

Since the water usage is so much less than my other toilets I am expecting to save on my water bill. My water service provider told me at least 20% of my water bill can be attributed to flushing toilets Finish is beautiful.

Can’t say enough about Toto products. They are always packaged well, function perfectly, and are of top notch quality. Our Drake II is no exception. Its our second Toto toilet (we also have the original Drake).

It flushes just as well with less water, and actually stays cleaner due to the new flushing mechanism. And neither Drake ever clog!Pros: Excellent quality, excellent packaging, functions perfectly and looks great! Very strong flush!Cons: NONE! Can’t think of a single thing.

I’m a proud p00per which means I’ve used a lot of toilets in my day. This is by far the best residential toilet on the market. Doesn’t clog and wash down is great. I have “put it to the test” and let me tell you this monster will suck the curtains off the windows! My 6’8″ quarterback sized neighbor challenged me when I bragged about its performance.

He intentionally tried to clog it without success. He liked it so much that he went home and ordered 3 for his house. In summary, it works as well as a pressure assisted toilet without the complexity and cost.

A wonderful, very loud working and very retro toilet. Be sure to buy the whole system including the bowl. The Retrofitting item does not work with top filling bowls as described. I went through four bowls before realizing I needed their bowl which is a backfilling bowl.

It’s a gas. What an attention getter! A perfect way to make my new addition bathroom in an 1904 house look like it has always been here. Ha ha!

We’re 74 and have owned 6 homes in our adult life, mostly 1 or 2 toilet homes. This last condo unit we bought 6 years ago is a 4-toilet home (all Kohler and built 12 years ago). October a year ago, I had a problem with one of the wax seals leaking slightly and decided to have it replaced with this taller unit.

After some surgeries, we both had difficulty getting up from the standard height units. So we replaced the two most frequently used with this higher unit and love it. My wife and I had been averaging about 3 clogged toilets every year with the old standard Kohler units.

In over a year, neither taller unit has clogged ever, and they flush faster and better with less water. It’s a great product! We read all the reviews before making this purchase. 2 male complaints stated the water level was too high causing dangling body parts to touch the dirty water.

I too had that problem until September 4th this year. Having had bariatric surgery 7 years ago and loosing 150# in less than a year, I had a lot of hanging skin from my tummy area. So I went to a great plastic surgeon (Dr.

B. ) in Pensacola for a “tummy tuck”. It was amazing. The first time after surgery on my toilet was startling. I went to get a tape measure and found my dangling body parts were now 3. 5″ above the dirty water level in the toilet.

I told Dr. B. that he should advertise this huge benefit for men that want a cleaner toilet experience. I also like the slow-closing seat I installed on them a year ago. I’d definitely recommend this toilet to anyone and everyone.

The toilet is very nice and easy to install. Absolutely terrible design, DO NOT purchase this, the intent is for water to shoot out and swirl around to clean the bowl. The water shoots out above the bowl and onto the wall every time.

A seat will block some water but it will shoot between seat and bowl and leak down side of bowl. Cannot believe they released this design for selling. No more Kohler models, garbage, thanks for nothing.

The water to the bowl comes from the tank when flushing not the supply pipe in the wall so water pressure is not the problem.

When looking at this product on-line for selection, it appeared to be a complete toilet but it came in two seperate pieces (one of which had to be returned twice, once for the wrong base being sent and again due to a poor finish) and it does not come with a seat! Our project is on hold as we wait for our third base and toilet seat.

Contractor installed toilet. We were replacing a defective Toto that I could not get a new replacement for (supply chain issues). We installed with K-4474 tank. Great toilet. Reasonably quite flush. Bowl clears very well.

Would definitely purchase and install again.

The toilet is the perfect height, very comfortable and flushes well. What you can’t see is the back part, there is a round hole all the way through the toilet. It’s cool looking, not sure what it’s for though.

If your toilet will be out in the open you might want to look into this “feature” a bit more but if it’s hidden by a vanity no one will know its there but you.

We like this model. It was installed last year in our powder room and looks good. The comfort height seat is helpful, as we transform our master bathroom to be more user-friendly for tall people. The toilet was in perfect condition, upon opening the box, which was a concern.

Having used other water efficient toilets that left much to be desired, I was apprehensive about the entire class. I heard good reviews of this model but I don’t rely too much on the opinions of people I don’t know.

I have purchased the Toto Drake model toilet for use in my apartment house business and my primary and second homes. They are the model I think looks great and gives the best bang for the buck. in my opinion.

Also, the newest tank just received has updated the flush valve flapper to one that eliminates the rubber perimeter that starts to leak around the edge after many years to one that is constructed entirely of hard plastic and will not need replacing ever.

We had this toilet installed in our new home two years ago and have been very happy with it. We were remodeling our bathroom at a 2nd floor condo that we and ordered the same model but have not been as pleased with it as the ones at our home.

For some reason, it doesn’t seem to work as well as the ones in our home,.

Reviewed as set with tank. Did not come with lid. That’s a separate purchase noted with proper size recommended when you check out. I have a very small bath that needed a 10 inch rough in and I wanted something skinny which didn’t extend far into the room, but with good flush power.

I also wanted something more unusual than just plain white. This is a dependable brand and model per my plumber and the linen color is lovely. Matching color flush handle is a nice touch.

Bought this about a month ago. Love the water-saving technology and the height. The men in my house r all over 6’3”. I had this delivered 6 times by Fedex to get one NOT cracked. Absolutely ridiculous.

Otherwise, it works well, looks great and adds character to our newly renovated bathroom. Get the black black, if u can. It’s fantastic.

We are considered tall in my household, so I appreciate this 19 inch toilet as well as the toilet seat (K-4636) I bought to go with it that has a soft close lid and seat and the tank (K-4467); they were delivered quickly and on the same day.

Transitioning from the sitting position is no struggle now and, since the installation of this unit 4 weeks ago, I have had much less discomfort in my lower back! What a relief! It’s also a nice looking unit.

The flush is great, quick and without the gurgling and water splashing. My one con would be that there could be more water inside the bowl to catch waste.

Purchased 2 commode’s 19 inch height. Pleased with look and performance except for fill take leak off. Have not timed occurrence tank leaks off and fill valve is activated, but is regular. Both units have fill tank leak off issues.

We shut main water off when we leave for lake house. In 2-3 days commode fill tank is completely empty. So that indicates leak is significant. Know kohler units are water saving efficient but the leaking flush system neutralize benefits.

I have had problems all my life when using toilets. It’s always an issue and as I’ve gotten older, my knees are taking their toll. I am 5’8″ and the previous “handicap height” or now called “comfort height” toilets that I have owned have been too low and worse now on my youthful 67 year old knees.

This toilet has saved me! I’ve always needed a true chair minimum height of 18″. This wonderful elongated toilet is my dream come true. That may sound silly but what a difference it has made in daily life.

I have owned this elongated toilet for a month and have been in heaven with complete relief for my joints and even my shorter guests love it. It’s stable and solid to sit on for my ample size, flushes completely, quietly, efficiently, and saves water.

My water company even allowed me a rebate I applied for. I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do and I cannot wait to build my future new master bath to purchase a second one. The only bad thing was it took me quite alot of research on my own and failed phone calls to find this with no help from big box stores or specialty shops as they are not well informed.

It flushes well and works well, but I bought an American Standard Cadet Ovation toilet for another bathroom and actually prefer that one. The Toto has a much louder refill sound (not that it’s loud, but just noticeably louder than the American Standard) and doesn’t quite flush as quickly as the other one.

Also my partner prefers a flush latch on the front vs the one on the side that is on the Toto. I’m happy with it though and I had no issues with clogging or streaks at all. It’s just knowing that I could have had just as good of a toilet with a cheaper toilet.

I do like the height of this one though and would highly recommend not going with tall/comfort height toilets. So while this one as great reviews I feel like you can get just as good with other toilets and not spend as much.

I bought this at a local plumbing store just shy of 3 yrs ago. I keep the toilet clean all the time very careful. Yet I just noticed this yellow mark today and was very upset. I paid big buck for such a toilet and the quality is just low.

I already felt low quality when I first got it but thought it may have been my own problem. The finish is just not strong and durable. I think Toto gets cocky since they are considered good toilets so they started to slack on the quality.

Kholer toilets look not as good but couple ones are still ok so I would consider other brands later.

Modern, minimalist design that works well in both traditional and modern style homes. Quiet, powerful flush, even for using only 1 gallon per flush. This is the third Toto commode I’ve installed. Over the years, I’ve installed Kohler, American Standard, Mansfield and Toto commodes.

Kohler is by far, the most “install ready” out of the box. Toto requires a bit more work to prepare the tank for installation to the bowl (need to install the gaskets and bolts that hold the tank to the bowl whereas these are pre-installed with the Kohler).

Apart from that, the smaller, lighter tank on the Drake II makes it easy to maneuver during installation. Two last warnings: 1) Be ready for questions from your visitors. there’s a mystique about Toto commodes (mostly from their high-end washlets) and they’ll want to know all about it 2) Be careful when you visit your friends with older commodes.

the soft-close seats for these toilets are a double-edged sword: you’ll love just tipping the seat and letting it close on its own. but do that at your friend’s and you’ll cause a loud crash!.

Toilet flushes great and super quiet. We haven’t had any issues with the low flow 1. 0/0. 8 tank. One complaint is that the CEFIONTECT does not work as advertised. Every little thing gets stuck. Previous toilets were easier to keep clean.

Still overall very happy with the purchase.

This toilet is the perfect combination of an elongated bowl, chair height and a small footprint. Ideal for tight spaces in bathrooms where a round bowl would normally be the only thing that fits. Tornado flush is both effective and quiet.

We ordered this Toto Drake Dual Flush toilet (along with the tank and seat!) and were really pleased with the reasonable cost and quick shipment. Installation instructions were easy to follow, and we were able to install it ourselves quite easily.

First time buying toilets. My old one keeps clogging, so I decided it was time to get a new one, and did some research. Everything points to the toto drake. I didn’t know where to get them, searched on the internet, found this website.

I did a research on whether they were credible or not before placing the order. The next day after I placed my order, I got a call from the shipping company about when it is convenient to deliver the toilet.

It was really fast delivery, it arrived on the day after I placed my order. So, I would recommend this website. I am located in Calgary, so I’m not sure if you would have the same fast shipment. However, I was not able to find the toto drake in home depot or lowes in Calgary, so I went online to order.

I would highly recommend the toilet as it hasn’t clogged yet. Keep in mind this order does not come with wax rings, toilet seat, etc. I used the BLEMIS industrial one from this website as well. Its the elongated one with open front for $89.

Bought this toilet about a month ago as part of a bath remodel for my mother’s bath. Absolutely love it. Haven’t had to clean it once yet and the bathroom seems to smell fresher. Contracter said it wasn’t that difficult to install.

Only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the combo seat/bidet I also purchased from Kohler doesn’t allow the seat cover to open all the way (toilet tank lid gets in the way) so it closes on my mother before she can seat down.

Plus the flow is very weak. Ended up removing and installing her old bidet with a seat I purchased at Costco. Rec the toilet, not the seat model #K-5724.

I had been looking at this toilet for a while and I’m very happy that I bought it. I like the self cleaning function, the 360 degree water flow release, and the chair height size. It’s so easy to clean because there are no holes where the water flows in when flushing that are difficult to clean.

It’s easy to reach under the top edge to clean which was impossible to see with my old toilet. I had a plumbing company install it because it’s more difficult install than a standard toilet because of the mounting bracket required but it resolved my problem with the uneven floor tile that caused my previous toilet to wobble a bit after a time.

I was quoted 1 hour to install but it took almost 3 hours which was pricey. So, make sure the Plummer has actually installed a Kohler bracket before; not that “we can install any toilet”. Also, the notification light when flushing stopped working after a couple of months which it the only flaw so far.

Also, the quality of the porcelain seems much better that the construction grade toilet that came with our house.

This toilet is amazing for so many reasons. I love that it is “skirted” around the bottom, there is absolutely nothing worse than when you have to clean around the base of a toilet. Yuck. I love the flush handle on this toilet, it adds a little class that a standard toilet just doesn’t have.

I also had to install the tank myself due to a plumber unavailability for complete – and I did it – no problems!!! I am excited about the continuous cleaning function of the toilet, with the bleach tablets infusing the flush water – my kids are notorious for not flushing – and hopefully this cures the problems with that.

Overall, I’m thrilled for the level of quality on this toilet, very glad of my purchase. I also recommend a two piece toilet over a one piece especially when going up/down stairs or tight corners. having these pieces separate helps a ton, and still looks amazing.

I bought this based on the reviews and didn’t think the cleaning issue would be a big deal. Boy, was I wrong. The reviewer who says this cleans the front of the bowl well, but does very poorly on the back where things stick was spot on correct.

That being said, it is also very, very difficult to get this thing clean. There is one channel to dispel water, seemingly to swish the bowl, on the left side and another on the right back corner. Water has left black junk in these channels and I have had to make my own brush to try and get in these channels to clean them.

The bottom of the bowl has some gray/black stain that is impossible to clean with any brush and cleanser that I have tried. It just won’t release, like it is ingrained in the porcelain. And there is a ring around the bowl at the water level that will also not come out.

I can get it to lighten, but I’m afraid that it is permanent and will not come out. There is no way that I can recommend this, nor would I ever buy another Toto. There are too many good toilets without this cleaning problem.

Replaced two Flushmate toilets that were water saving, but noisy and constantly having mechanical issues. The Toto is water saving – has two stages of flush (push the handle half way and it uses less water than fully pushing the handle needed for the “big jobs”).

No issues others posted about stenciled name being off center or smudged. Very well packed. Be prepared to deal with a lot of molded packing material which may or may not be recyclable based upon where you live.

Be sure to measure to make sure this will fit in your bathroom (needs to be 12 inches from the wall to the center of the bolt cover on your current toilet). That wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s my understanding it can be – particularly in older homes.

I absolutely love Toto toilets. I know that sounds weird, but although I love my plumber, I don’t love having them visit all the time. I have slowly replaced all the toilets in my life with Totos. Why? That satisfying glug, glug, glug sound at the end of a total and complete flush each and every time.

You see, Toto understands fluidynamics and have engineered these principles in their design. Therefore, the speed of the water that is generated in the bowl results in power and continues throughout the waste removal stage of your flush.

Any disruption in the finish, ie. smoothness in the surfaces could produce turbulence and thus disrupt the flow during the removal stage. Toto knows this and therefore glazes their toilets all the way through from the bowl down to the contact of the porcelain to the wax ring on the floor.

No other toilet manufacturer does this, period. Perfection from attention to detail.

This Kohler seat tips you backwards and also has a front ridge that cuts into your back thighs. By tipping you back it raises you and feet do not touch ground. I am 5 foot 7 and still do not touch ground.

Perhaps they have a flat seat without these issues. I purchased two of these and very unhappy. cannot return since it is over the return time.

Bought these along with the tanks about a month ago (needed 2 toilets but the bowls and tanks shipped separately) and couldn’t be happier with them. Quick shipping, excellent price, easy to install and works like a charm.

I was concerned about the flushing ability of “water saver” toilets but I swear these work better than the 60+ year old ones they replaced. My only knock isn’t with the bowls but the Kohler soft-close seats we bought locally – they don’t fit well and are not comfortable.

We ended up buying cheaper Bemis seats thay fit perfectly and are much more solid (wood as opposed to the Kohler plastic). You’d think Kohler would make seats to fit their own toilets.
