First the look – these are meaty. Nice and thick at the same size as the previous tires. Almost like having a 5mm spacer all around. Made me mad because these protect the rims from curbs nicely unlike the SSR’s that were on before : ( Pro’s – heroic grip.

Truly. Never had a tire like this on any car, and this is in Florida monsoon storms. Definitely a good ‘wet’ tire. Also rolls smoother than the factory SSR’s and everything is just creamier all around.

I had to re-calibrate my brake pedal pressure because they stop so much shorter. Price price price price price. Did I mention these were a steal? Neutral – steering still a bit squishy compared to OEM.

Likely due to having full tread with more tread squirm, plus softer sidewalls than a RFT. Can’t really make this a con as its true across the board. Although reduced feedback is sometimes a pro for a commuter tire as its less tiresome.

Likely will continue to get ‘tighter’ as the tread wears. So this is kinda neither here nor there. Con’s – noise. These are extremely quiet tires. However extremely quiet is louder than silent. And the previous tires I never heard.

Also they hunt at higher speeds and when the pressures rise. This is a good thing for feel because the steering comes alive, but its not relaxed. Would I do it again I don’t think so. While I couldn’t find a tire of this caliber and quality anywhere near the price – I am not happy with the highway noise.

I honestly could live with the hunting/tramlining, it’s a high perf summer tire and they all do that (this is a handling oriented car), but serenity is more important to me. Because basically every other tire was almost double the cost of this I won’t beat myself up about it since I ended up saving money and this tire is safer due to its superior grip to the competition.

I likely will go “grand touring” next time so I don’t have to turn the radio up and consider the extra cost in those tires to be an audio upgrade.

For the price, you can’t beat it. I consider them equivalent to my Yokohama S-Drive tires on my G8 GT. The only difference between them is the General’s are a lot cheaper. Also, if you’re wanting to reduce the rotating mass, these are the tires to get.

But if the price goes up, then I’ll look elsewhere. Because there are plenty of tires to choose from that are just a little more expensive than the General G-Max RS tires.

Absolutely fantastic tire. I drive two sets of tires depending on the season (winter/summer). This year I had to replace all 4 of my summer tires and had originally ordered my second set of Continental DWS 06 tires that are extremely popular for my vehicle.

Long story short – while the DWS’s were in transit I discovered these General G MAX’s and changed my mind based off the positive reviews and significantly better price point. I’m glad that I did. So far I have put on about 2000 miles and the wear/noise/performance and ride comfort are excellent.

Most of my driving is highway, and the Maine roads are not the friendliest to suspensions and tire sidewalls. These have performed great so far, and I prefer the sidewall feel of these way more than the Conit’s.

Wet traction is excellent and notice no issues in control/steering feel when travelling 70+ MPH in steady rain conditions. I like the way they look and the warranty is an added bonus IMO. Will most likely purchase again when the time comes.

These tires are great! From dry and wet performance to great handling characteristics provide excellent steering response and car feels planted to the ground at all times. First time using Continental and I’m glad I chose these tires based on many other positive reviews.

Previously running Toyo HP II and these are more quiet, grip much better in dry and no hydroplaning and provide a sportier ride. I have these on my modified 13′ Accord with Tein coilovers and 18″ aftermarket wheels with factory tire size 235/45/18 and it handles so good now! Lastly, I really like the wear indicators – there are 3 blocks on 3 different areas on the outer tread blocks so you can monitor tire wear which is a great way to keep track of alignment or other suspension issues.

For the price I think these are great tires and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for solid performing summer tires.

I came to these tires from the goodyear eagle sport. Mainly to get a quiter more comfortable sport tire. It is quieter and more comfortable. Grip is just crazy in the dry. I rarely set off traction control with these.

Wet performance was also superior to my previous tire. So you would think based on that it would be 5 stars. Well heres the thing at 20k miles in im at 3/32 wear. So i got half the warrantied life. My eagle sports gave me every mile of that 50k warrantied life.

Its a good tire and if you dont drive much maybe 10k a year it’ll be good for you. That said if i did it all over again i would have went Michelin because they’re obsessive about tire wear life.

255/35/20 > I expected with a short sidewall that they would be precise and agile. Unfortunately they’re more like driving around on gummy bears. Even with them over factory pressure, there’s substantially more body roll and a decrease in steering precision on high speed lane changes.

Despite: This is a fantastic rubber compound and tire construction. Perfectly balanced (so far) full range to high speed. VERY good traction and despite their floaty nature, they’re predictable and trustworthy to drive hard on.

I was amazed how fast I received the tires. So far excellent traction in snow. Only con tires have a little more road noise than the previous Nexen N’ Fera RU5 we replaced on suv. Overall I feel I made the right choice on these tires.

70k tire for a 50k tire price. Had a slight right tire-pull after installation but swapping right to left front tires corrected problem. Common problem with new tires. Don’t let tire shop talk you into expensive alignment before trying this approach.

Well made quality snow tires. I use it all year round because they handle well on wet ground. I live in Virginia. Summers are short thus the tires last me 2 years. I replace them every fall season. I hope the manufacturer of these tires do not sell out and continue to produce them.

These came standard on our 2016 Ford Flex. 50,000 kms, tread is down to the minimum and full of cracks. Biggest beef……these tires will flat spot overnight causing a vibration if you go on the highway that will go away once they get warmed up.

They’re not very good when it gets wet and they definitely down handle even light snow. Can honestly say they’re one of the worst tires I’ve ever had on a car and the poor reviews on TireRack support those impressions.

Horrid tires on the Mini Cooper. They are supposed to be run flats. However, when it’s the sidewall that blows out. FOUR TIMES. you can’t drive on a flat. No sense paying extra for run flats when they actually aren’t.

These are noisy, not great in the wet, but not bad and only so so in the heat of summer. The rears lasted roughly 30,000 miles. They aren’t particularly good at anything. They are BAD as run flats. Will not be replacing them with the same.

Why not 5 stars?, because I tried to contact Hankook and get a rebate on my previous set that were the original set on my 2015 Ford Explorer Limited. The tire warranty card in the glove compartment listed a website that no longer existed, and a phone number that was always busy.

How are you supposed to contact a tire company that does not want to be contacted? So why did I buy the same tires if I could not contact Hankook? Because I’ve had problems changing tire sizes, types, brands from what originally came on the vehicle.

I have been driving my car with run-flat tires for 10 years. Although run-flat tires are the specified tires for my car, I have sacrificed ride quality for so long. I decided to put the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires into my car.

They were on promo during the month of April 2022 which helped in my decision. I appreciate that they are not run-flat tires. But, what a difference! These tires are so quiet and I’m enjoying a much better ride in my car now.

I will test them through the winter months later in the year since they are all-season tires. I hope I won’t need to switch into my winter tires. I highly recommend these tires!.

Handling in rain is amazing!! Its been pouring here in cali! They told me from our multiple local tire shops here in California that that these tires are not available nowhere in USA due to backorder and i assume PANDEMIC! Well thank you gov.

These tires are amazing! I used to drive Primacy MXM4 and these new tires beat them they are handling amazing on slippery roads tested these tires in pouring rain.

Best tires I’ve ever had on the Si. The Si (though it could also be my driving style?) is very hard on the tires and tires don’t last very long, even tires with 45-55k mile warranty usually last for only 25k miles, before they get bolder than my head, even with frequent rotations.

I currently have over 170k miles on the car and at each previous tire change I tried different brand, usually getting cheaper tires at around $100, last time, Michelin had a rebate and I decided to try them.

best tires ever. However, these Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus did not even last 17k miles. yet well worth the money. grin inducing at every turn. did I mention best tires I ever had? so for my next set, I replaced with the next gen Pilot Sport All Season 4, which are supposed to be even better.

These also came standard on my 2017 Ford Explorer Sport and started to rip and shred with under 25,000 miles. even with tire rotations every 5,000 miles. I contacted Hankook and explained the situation.

They said to take it to a Ford dealership and start a claim. Well, Ford doesn’t want to deal with it. pretty much told to go pound sand. Just got the new Michelin CrossClimate2 tire installed. will never look back.

This is really a stunning turquoise ring! I’m very impressed with the craftsmanship as I always am from Jai/John Hardy. As soon as I unboxed this and placed it in my hands, I knew it was a well-crafted piece.

It has a nice substantial weight to it and the silver is smooth and intricate with details. The turquoise is a very lovely shade of blue and I’m sure it is of high quality. I wish it would have been sleeping beauty, but I’m sure that would have driven the price considerably.

I cannot even begin to tell you how many JAI Sterling rings that I own including all of the Alaska ring collection. I’ve had my eye on this one for some time and jumped on it when there was a reduction in price.

I ordered the Magnesite and it is gorgeous. It reminds me of the perfection of Sleeping Beauty turquoise. The silver design is so beautiful and eye-catching. That’s what JAI delivers every time. The only caution I would give would be in sizing.

I usually wear a Size 8 on my index finger and I went for the Size 9. I’m so happy that I did. If you don’t size up, you’ll be disappointed. So very pleased.

Purchased a set of these because my first choice of Uniroyal TigerPaw GTZ-2’s were not available. Read good reviews on them. They are the more performance orientated tire. They have not met any of my standards.

Very poor grip in the rain/damp. So-so grip in the dry. A little noisy on the highway. Takes a few KM’s to warm up and smooth out. Not even going to attempt to use them in the winter. Sorely disappointed.

Excellent tire in both wet and dry conditions. I have my own Hunter Engineering TC-3700 Mounting machine and a GSP9700 Road Force machine in my “Man Cave”. The road force numbers were very low. It took very little weight to properly balance the tires.

I have these tires on our 2014 Volkswagen Jetta GLI (225/45R17 94T) and I love them! Even in the low to the ground and front wheel drive Jetta, I constantly pass stuck SUV’s and trucks in snowstorms.

Amazing grip in snow, ice and slush. I always feel in control. They ride well and they are quiet enough. I’m really impressed with these tires, they are now part of my recommendations!.

Came on a 2WD 91 Ranger I bought in 2007. I live in the country and often need a little extra traction. These have given me great traction on snow, mud and ice. I’ve had good tire wear. I’ll be buying new ipikes when I’m ready to replace them.

I have used Hankook iPike snow tires for many years now and have never had an issue with them. They have incredible performance in all road conditions and wear quite well. I have recommended them to many friends and family members who were all also very impressed with them.

I drive pretty spiritedly and I average about 30-35k miles per set and run them year round without rotating them. They can be studded, but I have never had the need for it as they grip very well without.

I live in upstate NY in the Finger Lakes region and don’t have enough ice roads to warrant studs, these tires simply grip well enough without. I drive a 2000 Saturn LS1. Also these tires are rated for a heavier load, so they would be good for a light truck or SUV.

I bought these tires because they: 1) were summer tires intended for spirited driving. 2) were a good price. 3) included road hazard warranty from Nexen, negating the need to get it from the seller or installer.

4) included a mileage warranty. I’ve been very pleased with them. Their grip levels are not amazing, but they’re good. Far better than the OEM all seasons I had on my car before. They’re quiet and handle rain well, and are good in high heat days (105+).

They lasted about 23,000 miles for me – including a track day on a road course. I always seem to think that the grass is greener on the other side and want to try other alternatives, but in this case I didn’t believe that this tire could be beat based on the advantages to cost ratio.

Other brand’s similar tires are more expensive and do not include the various warranties (which I did use once). I’m a fan of all Korean brand tires (Hankook, Kumho and these) and find that they offer better value and more advantages to American, French or Chinese tires.

They are worth every cent. Not as good as yokohoma or the toyos I’ve used. But they’ve done well despite the harder compound, 3 months, still holding up great and they’ve been abused, about 20~ Street test and tune pulls, some spirited driving through the higher elevation roads and they’ve kept the car going where it needed to be, not nearly as fast as I’ve been able to before but the coral roads here act as if they’re putting tires through a cheese grater.

(200 and under won’t make it 6 months with any hard driving) they also do extremely well in less than ideal conditions. For a daily budget tire these get my vote. And they’ll last a good while longer too.

Strongly recommend for a 1-4 time a year weekend Warrior set up.

Price-wise less than Hankook or Kumho (its local competitors). Tire is quiet and supports maintaining a comfortable ride. It is very responsive in dry and wet conditions. There is s light hydroplaning noticeable during the rare combination of extreme downpour, high speeds and light cornering.

However, even then, the tire follows directions instantly, whether turning or braking. The tire even has a built in rim protector ring (meaning the sidewall bulges out a bit to help protecting the rim for those who can’t drive/park etc.

Hard to find. The manufacturer (US headquarter) does not list all sizes available on their website. Dealers (US) advertise them as all-season tires, you have to ask for this specific brand/model/size.

It does exist, as Walmart has it, and advertised it correctly.

I love the tire. Hope it lasts. The only thing is I went to another garage to have them studded and put on. They charged me $30. 00 per tire to studd, then $25 to balance and put them on. I should have just had it done at Walmart.

The tires are much better than what i had on pre snow however it is to early to judge how they would perform in winter. I had the most horrible experience changing them though. Took me 3. 5 hours and another hour to get the lug nuts that carling branch did not have.

When i finally got back my van one hubcap was sitting proud of the rim they told me thats how it came. They took it back in and tried to convince me that it came so. I wash my ban every week and know for a fact it was not like that.

One of the tec guys told me it’s just plastic. You competition replaced 4 tires on our other car in 24 min. Just saying !.

The problem with this tire is the poor rubber flexibility in temperatures below -10C, the rubber gets so stiff it gets very poor grip even on dry pavement. I also have some Toyo and Michelin winter tires and the rubber on those is still quite flexible in low temps.

So these WinterCommand become quite scary by -12C, still decent grip in fresh snow, but skating festival on anything else.

Solidly four stars. These tires are significantly better than the more than double the price winter tires we purchased previously. My only issue is that they’re still a little slippy when starting from stopped on icy conditions.

Generally though, I feel like they’re really gripping the ground and I feel secure when driving in winter conditions.

I have had these on two vehicles. A GT350 and a Lotus Evora GT. The Mustang smoked the fronts in 4000kms with no track days. The rears were probably 30% at that point. The Lotus has 9000kms and 4 track days at to date.

The rears will be good for another track session and fronts will probably outlast another set of rears. Overall a great tire. Would by again.

Could not review them higher. Not only did they make the ride of my BMW Z3 way more LINEAR and like “ON RAILS” like, but also made the rider steadier at low speeds and also HIGH speeds. High speed was made to feel like a much bigger car.

Incredible really. Than I thought, they are so good and sticky cause they are winter tires, they probably will stink in the rain. To my surprise they were just as good or even better in the rain. Truly remarkable.

This is a second Nokian tires set I purchased this year on Walmart. com. This is Nokian One 215/45R17 91V for my 2018 Toyota Corolla SE. First was Nokian eNTYRE 2. 0 215/55R17 98 V for my 2017 Toyota Camry SE.

Nokian One set are very good as a eNTYRE set, smooth ride, excellent in the rain. A Nokian tire has very strong side support and stability on turns and during passing other vehicles. The tire has very good 91 Load Index and V Speed Rating which really make extra reserve for safety drive on high speed.

11. 5 Tread Depth really works on wet road and helps drive smooth and stable on highway. Tires were delivered in time, no problem with balancing and installation in Walmart tire shop. New Nokian One 215/45R17 91V set of tires was installing on my car at the Walmart tire installation facility only for $20 per tire.

I am very satisfied with installation price and service. Tires look nice on Corolla SE rims. Was changing my old expensive Firestone set which was ride only 40000 miles on my 2018 Toyota Corolla SE.

After spending about two and a half days on all the other Tire websites looking for my tire size with the manufacturer speed rating of a v was a nightmare. Michlin’s little robot told me that Lincoln didn’t make my model car in the year that I own so I told Michlin customer service that their little robot Mitch needed some work on his memory banks.

I drive a 1991 Lincoln Mark VII LSC. Then I found priority Tire, OMG! They had my tire size they had it in the speed rating of V that I needed and if it hadn’t been for a glitch with a shipping label I could have had my set of four tires delivered in 48 hours as it was it was only 3 days which is awesome.

So the next time I need to look for tires I will probably start there.

Moving to a wider tire (315) and wheel (18×11) for road racing, and still having one set of narrower 18×10 wheels, I needed the widest “practice” tire I could find for my Apex wheels (295/30ZR18). Toyo is a NASA sponsor (I’m with NASA Utah) and a few of my buddies are running the Toyo RR’s.

I wanted something with even longer life than the RR, so my Discount Tire manager hooked me up with the R888R and I have loved them! Perhaps the best thing about the R888R is how well they have lasted.

I’ve driven them all season without pancaking them! When I first purchased them, I noticed they were heavy – that was due to the large amount of rubber on the shoulders. Anyone that knows me at the track can tell you I don’t go easy on my tires.

I’m very good with tire management – rotating often and pancaking before cording, so I know how to maximize tire life. Fridays I give lots of ride-alongs and these tires are the best! They give audible feedback so I know exactly how hard I’m pushing them which keeps us safe (we’re not supposed to spin-out with guests).

My riders think we’re going WAY faster than we really are going and that we are for sure about to spin and fly off the track because of all the tire noise they hear – but we don’t because of the great grip the R888R has.

DOT r-compound and full race slicks don’t really give audible feedback – you drive by what you feel. I’ve loved having the audible feedback for Friday practice runs because I can push the tires – push them a bit harder – back off, etc.

and really hone in on particular corners knowing better what the car wants to do naturally which helps with car setup and my driving line. I highly recommend the R888R!!!.

Incredible straight-line acceleration. They spin under 800 Ft lbs of TQ but they really never let go. Incredibly safe tire for high horsepower. Exceptional handling and looks. If this tire doesn’t work for you then probably don’t have the vehicle that can take these tires to their limit.

Ive bought 4 sets for high horsepower Pro Touring cars I’ve built. I wont try anything else. Ive had many fast cars with many different tires.

So would these fit under one of the fiberglass bodies of a old VW Dune Buggys ?? I bought on in Great Shape and a Great Running Air Cool Motor. But the very nice looking Tires on her are really bad of being weather checked.

A friend that will not be riding in mine ha has a sand rail. But he said just place some tubes in mine. And Cruz the interstate with tubes in weather check tires !! Nope Does Not Sound Cool at All. So what do you think these on the back and his skinny look alike on the Front for summer flying down the concrete lanes then onto the sandy dunes here in Northwestern Michigan of the Lower Part of this nice looking state !! I use this tire on my daily driver 2010 Toyota Prius, mostly for commuting to and from work about 17 miles each way. These tires ride and handle considerably better than the Michelin Defenders I previously had on the car, and they definitely track straighter! The Defenders tended to wander all over the road and would not hold a straight line without having to pay pretty close attention to the steering wheel, which was super annoying.

I would say the Cross Climate tires handle more like a high performance tire and they also have some of the noise characteristics of high performance tires. It doesn’t bother me, but I could see where some people might not like the slight “hum” that they produce.

My hybrid produces a hum of it’s own, so it basically just blends in with that and I don’t notice it too much. The one downfall or negative of this tire would be that I lost a few miles per gallon when switching to them, despite what other people have mentioned about that in reviews.

Not the optimum for a fuel efficient hybrid, but the trade off of having a safe tire in all weather conditions that handles well is fine with me. When they were new for the first few weeks it was obvious that it took more power for the car to get up to speed from a dead stop or when climbing hills due to the higher rolling resistance of the CrossClimates compared to the Defenders and the OEM Yokohama Avids I had on the car prior to them.

That part has gotten better now that they have a thousand miles or more on them, though. Overall, a great tire if you want to keep your family safe and want a great ride and handling! Just beware of the lower fuel mileage aspect due to the higher rolling resistance, if that’s an important factor in your tire buying decision.

But then, they’re not advertised as a fuel efficient tire either. Otherwise, fantastic tire and my car rides considerably better that it did with the Defenders.

Bought these tires for my daughter’s 2017 hyundai elantra se. She’s going off to college soon in upstate NY and wanted a good all season tire leaning more towards good winter and rain traction. The cross climate definitely fills the bill.

There great in the rain and absolutely claw through the snow. Just went through a 8 inch snow storm zero issues actually more confidence then my wife’s Buick enclave with AWD and all seasons. The downfall on the cross climate tires is the noise it’s totally unbearable.

I suddenly can’t stomach driving this car that’s how loud they are it’s beyond a hum and gets worse the faster you go. I took the car to my mechanic to just check everything out on the car he said all is well it’s definitely the tires.

Sadly I’m going to have to buy tires for the other three seasons and just use these Cross climate’s for the winter I paid to much to throw away.
