20 Best Tire Pressure Gauge For Racing (2023 Updated)

Ordered this to have one gauge. Not the three or 4 I have. The digital one I had was not able to be used in tight areas and I always worried about batteries dying. The pencil type is a pain in the backside to use and keep checking with the small print.

This one is much easier to fit anywhere I’ve needed it and feels much more durable. It’s also pleasing to use and hold, it feels like a tool. It’s a bit bulky but I don’t keep much in the glove box, just this and the manual.

6 years full time Uber Driver. It’s either a good accurate tire gauge or a set of tires every month, wasting gas, an uncomfortable ride, wear and tear of parts at the wheel, cost of balancing and alignments etc etc etc.

it all comes down to expensive costs. This Longacre gauge is are very rare gem. It’s straightened all my above worries it’s unbelievably accurate in an age equipments are just money making parts. Owing one is like owning a rare dog breed, everything morning at the gas station there is someday asking “Where did you get that” and I proudly tell my story.

I wish it was packaged with an aluminum padded storage case I wouldn’t mind the cost. You should see the one I made out of cardboard it came in for you would know how much I value it.

I have multiple cars and have tried all kinds of tire pressure gauges. I am pretty sure this is the last one I will have to buy. It’s very accurate, easy to read and control, has multiple chucks, and is rugged in design.

I am very pleased with it and expected many years for regular use.

Well made and designed product! Liquid filled gauge keeps needle steady for easy and accurate reading. Large numbers and 1 lb. increment lines make for easy reading. Cushion protection ring around gauge not only helps protect gauge from internal damage but also protects the glass from breaking and makes it easy to grip.

The pressure release button is in a nice location and releases air in very controllable amounts to ensure accuracy. The hose is ideal to reach where you need but not to long to be cumbersome. The angled valve stem head makes for easy attachment to the valve stem.

The tapered rubberized hose end protectors not only keep the hose from bending and breaking at the joints but also aid in gripping. This really is very well designed tool! I highly recommend it to anyone!.

Nice pressure gauge with digital readout. Reads in 0. 2 psi increments but accuracy tolerance is only +/- 0. 5 psi. It would be nice if the readout acknowledged the accuracy tolerance. The rubber cushioned gauge head is a nice touch.

I have been shopping for a digital tire gauge for a while. Most were very expensive or had limited range. The only low priced gauges were hand held with no hose which is awkward inside of a deep wheel.

The one I received had both the ball chuck and the 45 degree chuck–a nice bonus. The only reason I didn’t give it an excellent rating is that it doesn’t hold the reading when taken off of the valve stem.

This thing is easy to use and look to read accurately. Being able to read working .2 psi is a nice upgrade for me.

While these gauges do what they are intended for you are essentially getting what you pay for here. Upon unboxing all three gauges they feel like the cheap plastic pieces that they are made of. Very lightweight with very little heft to them The plastic body is very slick which makes it hard to hold on to especially in awkward angles.

There is also nothing to use to release air in the case of an overinflated tire. Finally the LCD readout can be funny to see, looking straight on it’s hard to read the dim/washed out numbers but tilt it to 15-20 degrees away from you and it is clear as day.

This was the same for all three gauges. Now on the positive side, the light is nice on the nozzle and the screen especially in the dark. In actual use, reading tire pressure is fast and all three gauges were within 1 psi of each other.

The fact that I purchased a three pack to have a couple to throw into the glove boxes of the cars for emergencies and have a spare for the garage these will do just fine.

As accurate as my $90 Motion Pro 08-0684 digital gauge; they actually read exactly the same at 14% the cost. This proves tire pressure gauges don’t have to cost a fortune to be accurate. I came to realize there is no need to pay more than $15-$20 for a TPG.

Digital is definitively better than analog bourdon tube mechanisms. Incorrect tire pressure translates to premature tire wear, degrades ride quality, can increase fuel cost and cause long-term suspension damage, so to me, anything beyond a 1.

5 Lbs. reading error is a big deal and unacceptable. I recommend this gauge; it meets my needs and I would buy again.

This gauge works the best out of several I’ve tried. Over the last few weeks, I’ve bought 4 different models of tire gauges. They were all over the place and all were off by at least 1 psi unit when tested against a known accurate measurement.

The only other gauge that comes close is the basic pencil style non-digital, but those are always difficult to read. This digital gauge is easy to apply and easy to read. The only minor inconvenience is if you press the button inadvertently while trying to apply more pressure to the valve.

Not a big drawback. This is now my go-to tire gauge. It’s quick and easy.

After about 20 years plus the battery finally went dead. And the valve stem end was a little bit worn. Plus the face was getting pretty scratched up. I thought it was time to replace the old guy and put him in retirement! There’s no reason I should expect any less from the stool! It comes highly recommended for me!.

I picked this up for setting air pressure on my drag radials. Very easy to read with it’s large face and the bleed valve lets me set the pressure exactly where I want it quickly. Glow in the Dark face is an added bonus.

Nice hard case to protect it too! I highly recommend this product.

I have used this gauge for several races now and I am very happy with it. The glow in that dark face makes it easy to read in low light conditions. The air bleed button makes adjusting the air pressure a breeze.

The price was right and the quality is good. This is a great addition to my tools. I will be using it on everything.

This is a good gauge for the price. It would be MUCH BETTER if it held the air pressure reading after you removed the chuck from the valve steam. Like most all bleeder gauges do. Probably would not have bought it if I knew up front it didn’t.

Accuracy seems to be good. No issues, I have used it for 3 years. Just bought another to keep in my race trailer.

Won’t hold pressure after only about one year old. I bought Slime brand because I thought they were a better quality. Maybe I got a lemon.

Works well, head could be a little bigger all round but adequate.

I bought this due to the inflation / deflation option & it being digital along with the sale price. The gauge is very accurate. I compared it with 3 other gauges that I trust to be accurate & it’s within less than half a pound on 2 out of the 3.

It is spot on with the 3rd. It is easy to use and feels comfortable in hand. I rated it as a 4 star because the clip style chuck does not seal every time. Otherwise it would be a 5 star for me. Sometimes I need to hold pressure on the chuck for it not to leak at the valve stem.

I may change out the chuck down the road. One thing I would like to point out is to make sure the power is turned on before connecting it to the valve stem. Otherwise the reading will be way off. It seems as though the gauge establishes it’s baseline of zero psi when it is first turned on.

It requires no pressure in the line before it’s turned on. This is not mentioned in the instructions. I found the pressure reading to be hugely inaccurate when I first connected the line to the valve stem prior to turning the power on.

It was reading approximately 25 lbs greater than what was in my tire. Once I figured this out I got accurate readings. I verified this a few times by turning it off & on prior to connecting to the valve stem.

I almost sent it back as defective till I discovered this.

Bought this about 2 weeks ago. Prior to it owned 2 different brands, one was half the price of this one, and another – about $10 cheaper. They did not work well, mostly the accuracy of the psi reading, and had to be returned.

Used the Eastwood item twice, on my car tires. So far, so good. It has an accurate psi reading, I compared it to 2 other pressure meters, and the result matched +/-1 psi. It is solid, not cheap feeling.

Bigger and heavier than I expected. Works smoothly when you press the handle or buttons. I really like it. The only con is the chuck. Looks cheap, and cannot stay still, a little wiggly when in use. I have to press it firmly to the stem valve of my tires until pumping air.

When I looked into it, inside it is all brass, with the exception of the end, where there is a mini rubber gasket. This is what the top of the tire valve stem touches. I expected the inside to be all rubber, but nope – just a gasket at the end.

That’s why I dropped one star. I do not know how long this gasket will last. This product is made in China. I recommend buying it.

After receiving this pressure guage/inflator and using for first time, was reading 5-6 lbs low at low pressure and 2-3 lbs low at high pressure (50-60 lb range). After using several times, decided to try something.

I filled an air tank to 175 lbs, emptied and re-pressured a few times and rechecked pressure each time, and then filled a tractor tire to 22 lbs and the crazy thing started to read correct pressure. Now it reads correct low and high pressure.

I used an expensive digital race car pressure gauge for reference. Very odd, but must have reset or calibrated itself. Go figure!!.

Love this unit for the price… perfect for racing or street car .. very accurate, and the bleed valve feature works perfectly.

This is the digital version of several similar tire pressure gauges. The readout is clear and seems accurate. The valve fitting does not seal well. I have similarly priced analog Joe’s racing gauge that suffers from the same issue.

For cars it’s OK but for tight quarters or odd valve placements, like many motorcycles, the device is not ideal.

This is Brand New. It worked the first time I used it. Then I used it the second time and it was showing less than half of the actual pressure. I checked all four tires and it showed 15. 5 lbs. per tire.

I knew that was wrong. I took the batteries out and tried it again. Now it showed around 35-36 lbs. per tire. Let’s see what happens the next time. I had one that worked every time for years for about $10 and my son took it, so I needed a new one.

I shouldn’t have to question a brand new device.

I am thrilled with this tire gauge. I was ready to buy a gauge that costs 3 times as much when I stumbled across this diyco gauge. I decided to take a chance and purchased this gauge over the more expensive brand.

This gauge works amazing, has great accuracy, and the product is well put together. I will be buying another one, especially considering I saved so much over the more expensive one.

At this point in time, designing something like a tire pressure gauge should be close to a no-brainer, but it seems that so many mediocre gauges still exist. This one is an exception: in addition to good ergonomics (yes, ergonomics matter when you’re managing a slow leak at night in the rain), there’s a seriously-legible display – backlit, at that! – as well as a utility light to help you find that valve stem on that rainy night.

Accurate, too: I measured it against my Astro Pneumatic Tool Tire Inflator/Gauge, and was virtually dead-on. Battery life seems decent as well. (Pro tip: even though it isn’t mentioned in the owner’s manual, you CAN manually shut power off on the gauge by simply holding the Power button down for about 3-5 seconds; it shuts off automatically, eventually, but you’ll eke out a bit more battery life by doing it yourself.

Having purchased a lawn tractor, I found myself needing a tire gauge that would work to show very low pressures. All the “normal” gauges don’t start until about 20 pounds. The tractor tires need to be inflated to 10 and 12 pounds.

That doesn’t leave much room for error. This gauge is perfect for the task and the flexible hose with rotating tip makes it easy to manipulate. I cannot vouch for the actual accuracy of the gauge but I am happy with the results this tool gives me.

For my purposes, I’d say great, but. I have fat track rear tire that is 240 wide where the valve stem is hard to reach in center and is behind the large brake rotor. Can’t get any extension or angle head in there to get a proper read.

Fits perfectly in my hands to reach in with round end and holds the pressure until I release it. Lasted 2 years and worked perfectly until I dropped it last week. I’d give it a 5 but not very durable.

Will buy a new one for the price.

It is small and compact which makes it easy to store in the glove comparment of the car. If the readout was a little larger it would be easier to read but for the price it was a good value. I have only had it one week so hopefully it is durable and will continue to work as well as it has.

Nicely designed hand-held tire guage. Tactile feel with a blue light to help you in the dark. Makes measuring tire pressure fun and easy. Good value.

Good tool. Reads PSI to a decimal point. Reports consistent readings each time — assume it’s accurate, but did not check with second device.
