I bought two rolls of this stuff about two weeks apart. I used up the first roll learning how to apply it correctly. I made a lot of rookie mistakes the first time around. After figuring out what I was doing–more or less–I purchased a second roll and managed to do a decent job of covering the driver’s and passenger’s windows in my Class C motorhome.
Here are some recommendations: 1) DIY window film commonly comes in 20-, 24-, and 30-inch wide rolls. There aren’t too many vehicles that the 20-inch stuff will be tall enough to fit, and even the 24-inch film may not be tall enough for your application.
To avoid anger and frustration, measure your windows before you buy the film. 2) Remember, it’s not a race. Take your time and be patient–you’ll thank yourself in the end. 3) Do a thorough job of cleaning the glass and surrounding window frame inside and out, including the window gaskets, using a lint-free cloth or special glass cleaning-specific paper towels (not the stuff from your kitchen, which not only leaves a lot of lint behind but is treated with a chemical that leaves a residue on the glass).
4) To cut the film to the shape of your window, I found it easier to use the outside of the window on the opposite side of the vehicle from where the film will be applied rather than working on the inside of the window.
I scotch-taped the film to the window frame at the top and sides–use quality name brand tape for easy removal–and went through a multi-step process of making a series of cuts to transform the rectangular piece of film into something just slightly larger than the inside surface of the glass on the opposite side of the vehicle where it was going to be applied.
5) Make sure your hands are nice and clean before peeling off the liner and actually applying the film to the window. 6) Do NOT touch the surface of the film once you have peeled off the liner–it won’t stick where it’s been touched.
This one-way heat control privacy window film provides excellent daytime privacy with advanced technology and highly reflective material. With heat insulation, glare reduction, UV-blocking, keeping your home or office cooler, and saving energy for intense summers.
Non-adhesive static cling design makes it easy to install and remove, and does not hurt your window glass, so it is ideal for both your DIY projects and rental properties. Reflective technology also gives exterior windows a pleasingly uniform, contemporary look.
The outside shows silver inside shows the color you choose. Kindly note that the film cannot provide privacy at the night. When the inside light is stronger than outside at night, the mirror reflective effect will disappear.
Installation tips: Before installation, please totally clean the window surface and corners to ensure that there is no dust on it. Remember to remove the protective backing film before applying and spray plenty of water onto the glass surface and static cling side of the window film for adhesion(the more water, the better).
After installation, please trim the edges and leave enough gap between the edge of the film and the window to easily squeeze out the air bubbles.
This product is great quality! Definitely have a straight knife or box cutter when trimming film along window. I used a credit card between the knife and window to get a clean straight line. Plenty of water helps with positioning.
Make sure to use a squeegee or a towel between the credit card and film so you don’t scratch it. You can’t see inside during daylight and once it gets pretty dark out you can start to see inside just as the description says.
The Auto Expressions Insta-Cling Window Tint can reduce harmful UV rays while also combating interior fading and glare to help keep your vehicle in top condition. It comes in a convenient size that can be used on an RV, truck or in your home.
It can also be easily trimmed to size if you need it to fit a smaller surface area. The insta-cling tint extra dark 5 percent holds instantly to glass by static cling and is removable and reusable so that no glue is necessary and you can reapply if you need to eliminate bubbles.
This Auto Expressions window tint is a convenient way to help you reduce both skin and property damage from overexposure due to the sun’s rays.
For what it costs. This stuff is great. Takes some patience to apply. I agree with those saying they had issues cutting it. I’ve heard the pros use OLFA brand knives so I will try that when I decide to use some good ceramic tint.
Great way to practice for a better product. *P. S. * I don’t normally write reviews but felt the need because of the bad ones for this product. For starters, what did you expect for $12? Professional grade tint.
that’s hilarious. Is this super easy to install like the package suggest? No, but it’s not impossible. It requires patience which most people nowadays don’t have. The people leaving the bad reviews are the kinda people we have to put HOT!! on coffee cups for so they don’t burn themselves.
I read one from a supposedly certified mechanic who couldn’t handle this stuff. Wouldn’t want him working on my car. There were several other winners but don’t let them discourage you from trying this product.
this stuff is one step above trash. I mean yeah, it does the job KIND of, but let’s get real everyone. this is not at all what any of us want for tint on our cars. first off, it distorts the light and makes everything blurry.
so using it on a car is out of the question. unless you’re not a smart guy like me, and decide “eh I can deal with everything being blurry” it’s stretchy so you can put it where you want but it snaps back too hard so it doesn’t stay.
if you somehow DO manage to get it stretched and to stay (which is impossible with soap and water to let it move around– you’d need it to be dry), the part that stretched has to be the entire film otherwise you get weird stretch marks / lines that make the view even MORE distorted.
look, I’m an ASE certified mechanic. I know my way around cars. this is the last product I’d ever recommend for AUTO uses. however, for darkening a room in a house? it would be SUPER easy to do and I would recommend it for that.

It’s wound sooo tight and the product retains sooo much memory it’s impossible to unroll and lay flat for even a moment! It’s like an Abbott and Costello skit trying to unroll this film in order to measure and cut it.
Also if you manage to do so, it appears to be electronically charged so beware what surface you use to do so. I immediately picked up dust particles and dog hairs. Do not kink the film even for an instant.
To do so results in a what looks like a hairline crack in the finished product. The product seems good and works as promised however the application is a nightmare. I STRONGLY suggest you bring this material to a pro and have them install it.
it bubbles up over time due to the effects of the sun. Not many things can escape the punishing effects of the sun so im not mad just disappointed. After 5years it showed bubbles and didn’t look all that great.
After 10years if I even touch the tint it cracks and crumbles. I was also taught by a professional vinyl guy how to lay window films down and I layed that tint down with no dust or imperfections and the glass was cleaned and buffed before installation.
The tint is excellent for flat glass where no shrinking or very little is involved. Its a nightmare to shrink and nearly impossible on a back glass. Has excellent adhesive and scratch coat

Reviews From Real Customers
I have always used soapy water to apply window film but decided to give this product a try. What a mistake. This leaves a white film between the window tint and the glass. Save yourself some $$ and use soapy water.
Its normally used for wet weather driving visibility. Simply apply the treatment to exterior glass and watch the raindrops fly off your windshield while driving. It helps improve visibility by repelling rain, sleet and snow.
For windshields, windows, mirrors and lights. Forms a super slick, invisible repellent coating. Restricts adhesion and build up of frost, bugs, salt, tree sap, mud, and road grime. It forms an invisible coating on automotive glass that makes water bead up & roll off.
Also reduces build up of frost. Clean and dry surfaces before treating. Apply in temperatures above 40 degrees F. Apply RainX to a small, folded, dry cloth. Wipe onto exterior glass using a firm, circular and overlapping motion.
Allow product to dry, a slight haze may appear. Reapply RainX to ensure complete and uniform coverage. Remove final haze with a dry cloth or by sprinkling water onto the haze and wiping with a paper towel.
Note: Use only per label directions. Clean and thoroughly dry surfaces before treating. Apply in temperatures above 40 degrees F. Apply Rain-X to a small, folded, dry cloth and wipe onto exterior glass using a firm, circular and overlapping motion. Allow to dry until slight haze appears. Remove haze with dry cloth or by sprinkling with water and wiping with paper towel until crystal clear. Store and transport in closed, upright position.

It will allow you to successfully install window films. The 16 fl oz ready-to-use application solution can be used to clean window films and other glass surfaces and the trigger spray bottle makes it easy to apply the solution.
The edging tool is ideal for trimming straight edges.
We are really enjoying this product! I read and reread the reviews a million times to pick up all the tips and tricks, and carefully took my (our, due to size) time to clean window thoroughly a number of times, and install exactly as outlined! I was terrified it was all going to fall off overnight, but it didn’t!!! It makes a world of difference in the two offices we’ve installed in.
Temperature was dramatically different! I am very happy with it this far, it’s been installed for just over a month now! I’d recommend getting the installation kit, the little press squeegee thing works wonders! And be certain to block sufficient time, it is worth it not to rush!.
I live in an apartment complex and when people walk by they can see right into my apartment if I have my front door open. So I wanted some privacy so I got the film you can put on your doors windows and I got this tool to help me do it it made the job very easy.
I have straight lines the product on my window is on secured and I’m keeping all this because I want to do other windows and I know they won’t turn out as nice if I don’t have this product to help me.
The water bottle comes filled the straight edge or squeegee works great the cutter that comes with it has just the right size blade on it it doesn’t stick out very far at all and if you use the squeegee to make your Cuts you’ll have perfect cuts.
I couldn’t have done that without this I recommend if you’re putting film on any Windows anywhere you should get this product.
Absolute unadulterated garbage. The cutting tool does not work at all. And when you go to remove the trim that you think you have cut with that garbage cutting tool you end up tearing your film.

I’ve never window tinted before, and if you have, then you are aware that it’s a lot trickier then you may believe it to be,to begin with. that being said I bought a box not knowing really how much I’d get out of it, not because the dimensions on the box were wrong but Becusse I didn’t know how bad I’d suck at it.
The first box I did the front and rear side windows and they came out not so bad- any problem or complaint I had was my fault completely. Doing the other side after buying another box went wrong so then got another box and re tried- satisfied mostly with my effort…then I bought one more box for the back yesterday and failed miserably on the long stretch and that got trashed.
All in all,it’s tricky so be prepared to suck at it and or get creases and bubbles, mine came out good after re directing more concentration to the actual application since it’s not quite as easy as it sounds.
One other thing is that I used a credit card to push out my air bubbles and straighten it all out and it easily nicks the film creating damage and/or a hole. Then you just look amateur no matter what do you might aswell junk that section and re start.
Use plenty of application spray st all times and take to ur time. Good product for the money- it didn’t kill me to waste a few boxes but that’s to be expected, unless your a straight up G. Cheers.

VSTREAM SHLD LOW DK TINT FZ-09 The VStream gets its name from the unique shape and contoured design. The patented “V” profile windshield pushes the turbulent wind out and away from the side of the rider’s head, producing a quieter and more comfortable riding experience.
This improvement also reduces wind noise and buffeting for the passenger. Made in USA. Vendor Part Number: N20310.
Extremely durable. Zero flex. Simple install. 4 Bolts for bracket. 4 for the shield. 2 minutes. Looks great on the bike and maintains the style well. Everyone says mine looks like it came on the bike stock.
Does a great job of getting the wind off your chest and up onto the helmet. I get a lot less bug splats on my face shield with this installed. I read a million reviews complaining about buffeting at high speeds with any similar short deflector like this one.
This one DID improve that for me quite a bit. Before 50 was all I could do comfortably. After installing this I could hit 75 before I got a lot of buffeting. Since I installed this I also upgraded my helmet to a high end SHOEI neotech and perhaps I found the right combination but I honestly believe that the helmet did 10 times more to improve my riding comfort than the shield did.
While the shield does help. Don’t expect it to work miracles because it simply wont. If you want to get the wind off you then you probably shouldn’t be riding a NAKED bike. But if you just want to then buy a big ugly windshield.
If you want to improve your ride and maintain the style of your bike then this is a perfect product for you. If you still get buffeting and beat up by the wind then invest in a high quality helmet and you wont be disappointed.
I wanted a windscreen to reduce the wind blast on my naked bike during extended highway rides. I paid the extra price for this screen because it claims to be aerodynamically superior to others. Unfortunately, the buffeting and significantly increased wind noise that I experienced were unbearable.
I even stood up on the pegs briefly while doing 45mph to move my head into the undisturbed slipstream and things smoothed out and quieted down considerably. I removed the windscreen as soon as I got back home.
FYI, I am 5′ 11″ with a 32″ inseam and wear a Shoei Neotech. I had high hopes for this attractive and purportedly effective windscreen.
I purchased this as a replacement for another brand’s touring shield. This one is made extremely well, and has very thick material for virtually no flex at all at speed. The sport version is tall enough to block the wind from my chest and shoulders.
I’m 5’10”, and the wind hours me about 4″ below my chin. Wind noise is only marginally louder than without a shield at all. It’s clean air, so no buffeting on the helmet or shoulders. The other brand “touring” shield caused wind noises so loud it was deafening.
I took it for a 300 mile ride this weekend, with speeds from stop to high speed corners, and was very pleased. I won’t be getting rid of this one; it’s exactly what I needed.

Best Tint Percentage For Front Windshield Buying Guides
What are the benefits of having a tinted windshield?
A tinted windshield can offer many benefits, including reducing glare, blocking UV rays, and keeping the car cooler. The level of tinting can vary, but generally, the darker the tint, the more effective it is at reducing these factors.
Are there any drawbacks to having a tinted windshield?
There are a few drawbacks to having a tinted windshield, the most notable being decreased visibility. A tint with a lower percentage will allow more light to pass through, making it easier to see. However, tints can make it more difficult to see at night, and can also make it more difficult to see in low-light conditions.
Tints can also make it more difficult to see through the windshield when it is raining or snowing.
How do you choose the right tint percentage for your windshield?
The amount of tint you use on your windshield is a matter of personal preference. Some people like to have a very dark tint, while others prefer a lighter tint. There are a few things you should keep in mind when choosing the right tint percentage for your windshield.
The first thing you need to consider is the state you live in. Some states have laws that dictate how dark your tint can be. Be sure to check the laws in your state before choosing a tint percentage.
The next thing you need to consider is the time of year. In the summer, you may want a darker tint to keep the sun out of your eyes. In the winter, you may want a lighter tint so you can see better in the snow.
Finally, you need to consider your own personal preference. Some people simply prefer a darker tint, while others prefer a lighter tint. There is no right or wrong answer here. It is simply a matter of what you prefer.
How do you apply tint to a windshield?
To apply a windshield of tint percentage for front windshield, you would need to first clean the windshield with a glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth. Next, you would need to measure the tint percentage and cut the film to size.
After that, you would need to remove the backing from the film and apply it to the windshield. Finally, you would need to use a squeegee to remove any air bubbles and trim the film.
What are the do’s and don’ts of tinting a windshield?
There are a few things to keep in mind when tinting your windshield. The first is to make sure the tint percentage is within the legal limit. In most states, the limit is 50%. This means that the tint can be no more than 50% dark.
Anything darker than that is illegal and can get you pulled over.
Another thing to keep in mind is the quality of the tint. There are a lot of cheap tints out there that will start to bubble and peel after a few months. It’s worth spending a little extra to get a good quality tint that will last.
Finally, make sure to get the tint professionally installed. It’s a tricky process and if it’s not done right, it can look terrible.
How long does it take for tint to dry on a windshield?
The drying time for a windshield with a tint percentage of 35% for the front windshield is about two hours.
How do you remove tint from a windshield?
In order to remove the tint percentage from a windshield, you must first identify the type of film that was used to create the tint. Once you know the type of film, you can then purchase a windshield tint removal kit that is specifically designed for that type of film.
The kit will come with detailed instructions on how to remove the tint percentage from the windshield.
Can you tint your own windshield?
Yes, you can choose your own tint percentage for the front windshield, as long as it is within the legal limits.
Conclusion
The conclusion of the tint percentage for the front windshield is that it should be no more than 30%.
