The first time I bought this (a few years ago) it was out of desperation! I’ve tried all the expensive drain cleaners over the years with little luck so this time around I went the less expensive (cheap) route and bought a bottle of Instant Power Drain Hair Clog Remover.

I put it in my problem bathroom sink and let it sit overnight, not expecting results and the next morning I flushed the drain with hot water and the clog was gone! I couldn’t believe it! To say I was excited to have finally found a drain cleaner that actually works and costs less than the majority is an understatement! The time recommended on the bottle is usually enough to clear the pipes. So even more savings for me. I highly recommend this product. I will never use another brand again, this stuff is the real deal!.

this stuff is a god send!! my roommate has super thick hair that goes down past her waist. we have a shower drain plug that’s supposed to catch any hair but i guess she just has too much hair so it’ll still get into the drain.

but since it’s so long, it gets tangled up and blocks the drain. i am SO squeamish and i gag just thinking about how nasty it was. bought this stuff on a whim and didn’t expect it to work bc it was so cheap but it worked perfectly.

Worked flawlessly in one hour. Amen to that! I’ve been using vinegar, dawn dishsoap and baking soda for a month. Clog didn’t budge and I was just sick of taking showers with the water pooling around my ankles.

Best drain cleaner ever. Just poor it in and wait fifteen minutes and rinse with cold water. If you have small animals don’t let them anywhere near this product. In fact use heavy rubber gloves, because its very strong.

My home is over 100 years old and I am in my later years so, if I can use this and get positive results, it should work for you, I would highly recommend it !!.

The go-to product for clogged drains. Forget the other brands. This eats through hair and gunk. Been using it for several years. Must use with caution (gloves and eye protection) and always let it sit in the drain overnight.

I’ve been buying this product for the past 3 yrs and absolutely love it. I use it mostly for soap making, but when we have slow or stopped up drains it works very well. It’s hard to find pure lye anywhere in stores.

It’s available online, but the shipping cost usually doubles the product cost. Tractor Supply is the only local place that carries it where I live. The price is great, even compared to online prices at other retailers.

Highly recommend for clogged, slow drains and for making homemade soap!.

I don’t use this for its intended purpose. I use it to make soap because it’s the only brand that’s 100% lye. My soaps come out perfectly.

This is by far the best drain opener I’ve used for the toughest of clogs. Works on grease hair food you name it. Just be careful and be sure to follow the directions as it can cause severe burns if not used properly.

My daughters tub and sink have been clogged on/off for 3 years. Tried everything at lowes and Walmart. Didnt work. Took a chance on this, bought the 2 lb bottle and used half of it but it worked. Definitely recommend it.

Make sure to use HOT water or it wont work. I brought the water to a semi boil. Dont breathe the fumes either.

After researching drain cleaners, I decided to go with this product due to its good reviews and all those reviews were correct. My bathroom sink drains and shower drain were draining so slow that water was actually accumulating in the sinks and shower within seconds of running water.

I followed the directions on the bottle, which were extremely easy to understand, and within minutes all of the sinks and tub were draining perfectly. And since using the product for the first time 6 months ago, the drains are still draining perfectly so this drain cleaner is not a quick fix.

My only advice is wear glasses and plug your nose when pouring out the product. If air particles get in your nose or eyes, it will sting; nothing life threatening, but it is not a good feeling. You should probably also wear gloves, but I have not used gloves and simply wash my hands thoroughly with soap and water afterwards and have not experienced any issues on my skin.

In the end, this is the only drain cleaner that I will be purchasing from here on out and you should do the same.

I read all the reviews online about this product and the Drano version. I decided on this one based on more positive reviews. I had an issue with slow draining due to hair and soap scum build up. My snake couldn’t pull out anymore hair as the clog was deeper, the baking soda and cleaning vinegar just wasn’t cutting it anymore so I had to result to this rather than call a plumber and fork out their expensive rates.

I poured about 1/3 of the bottle into my bath tub drain and let it sit for 7 hours, I boiled a pot of hot water after into drain and voila! No more water pooling and slow draining. This thing instantly cleared my clog.

It worked!!! A lot of reviews say that it didn’t work so when i used this i didn’t follow the instructions. I want to share what I did that somehow resolved my issue in my first attempt. When I took over this apartment, the tub was already clogged by god knows what.

When you shower, the tub fills up halfway and takes HOURS to drain. My tub has one of those stoppers that don’t come off. Here’s what I did, hopefully this helps someone else: 1. Filled the tub halfway with hot water, put dish soap and approx 1c of bleach (used this to clean the soap scums on the tub too) 2.

Let all that water drain. When it drained, I poured about 1L of hot water (boiled) down the drain 3. When the hot water drained, I poured down half of the Hair Clog Blaster. I left it for about 2 hours.

4. Poured hot water down the drain IT WORKED!! I’m happy LOL. To be on the safe side, I poured 1/3 of the Hair Clog Blaster and let it sit overnight and then poured 1L of hot water when I woke up the next day.

After months of having this issue. I’m happy!.

This drain cleaner worked wonders for my bathroom sink. It only took one bottle and is now good as new. Disclaimer: I have very hard water and could tell the slow drainage was due to buildup. There was nothing else clogging the drain.

Had a few slow drains this week. The other brand we normally hear about just didn’t work. I swear we have a sock or something in the pipes. Lol. This right here is very dangerous, please use with care.

Drain was clogged for about 2 weeks tried a lot of other products with no results! Purchased liquid fire used only about 1/4 of the bottle waited 15-20 minutes flushed with cold water. Drain completely unclogged, I highly recommend this product! Easy to follow instructions.

The main line under the house clogs with grease and hair. For years I’ve had to have the plumbers come and root out the line once a year at $175 a pop. Followed the directions and poured Liquid Fire into the main drain clean out.

The the clog dissolved and the drain stopped backing up. The only Con is the smell. I guess it’s sulfuric acid and there is a noticeable rotten egg smell, but it’s worth it to stop paying the plumbers.

After surprisingly not having any luck twice using white vinegar & baking soda (it’s long been my usual go-to for drains), I still wanted to go the less-toxic route, so I bought 2 bottles of this for a suddenly-slow-running kitchen drain in just one of my two double sinks (the other side? – stayed completely clear).

Used up both bottles over several nights, carefully following instructions. Each time, the drain wasn’t used for 10-12 hours, then I’d run hot water in it. Unfortunately this did not work for me, not at all.

A couple of days into that week, since I had some on hand, I decided to switch to a harsher dish detergent for a bit. After 3-4 days of that, all of a sudden there was a goodly gurgle, and my drain finally ran clear again! This was a few days ago – still mostly using the harsher dish soap now.

Great for overflow drain holes in bathroom once a month. ;After using baking soda and vinegar to clean them and use hot water to flush them out. I use this for maintanace. l leave it in overnight and flush by filling the sink up with hot water in the morning.

Great stuff!! So much easier than the drain powders you have to mix. Gel formula actually sticks to the pipes as it goes down the drain so it can do its job much more effectively. Other formulas are too liquidy and are less effective.

So far it has not stained any of the metal fixtures/drain plugs that it has come in contact with. and some of the gel was left on the metal for quite some time, so that’s a huge relief. Very pleased with it, will always keep some stocked as I treat our drains fairly regularly.

Also glad it’s safe for our septic.

The tub is located on the second floor. I visually verified no blockages. I tried boiling water and vinegar down the drain, no luck. I tried commercial liquid clog remover, twice, no luck (followed directions to the letter)Went to the coat hanger method.

In the past I’ve used the plastic clog snakes that have barbs on them to pull hair, but they always snagged on various parts of the drain and also weren’t stiff enough to go all the way down to the P-trap without hitting some other obstruction and just stopping.

The FlexiSnake is stiff enough to get all the way down to the P-trap with ease once the higher up obstructions are removed. It’s not some kind of miracle tool though, for my latest job I used it to loosen and pull up a gigantic hair glob that had almost gotten all the way to the top of the drain.

The FlexiSnake was able to pull up small chunks of it at first, but it was faster to alternate using my hands to yank out hair bundles exposed by the FlexiSnake. I did this several times until the top hair layer was removed and the FlexiSnake was then able to pull out the main glob in one go.

Granted, this is over a year’s worth of accumulated hair so it was quite a lot to get at one time. From now on I’ll be using a hair catcher for that drain to hopefully slow the hair accumulation.

My tub was stopping up terribly. Bought 2 bottles of this and poured down the drain followed by 2 large pots of boiled water and it worked well, but needed to use the second bottle for a bit more gusto.

The first bottle I left for 40 minutes then followed with boiled water in 20 minute increments. The second bottle I left for two hours, then poured another pot of boiled water down the drain. Left it alone for one hour and tested the tub with the pipe water.

No more stopping up. Great stuff. Will definitely use again.

Used as directed, 1/5th bottle at a time but LIQUID PLUMBER “Clog Destroyer Plus” failed to budge spaghetti clog in kitchen sink with disposal. Prior to using LIQUID PLUMBER, scooped all but 1 inch of water that filled the kitchen sink after running a bowl full of leftover spaghetti through the garbage disposal.

To protect the small appliance and pipes, we only use disposal for soft foods. As a rule, only foods that can be easily chewed are eligible for the sink and waste disposal. We never pour cooking oils and fats down the sink.

It came to a surprise when a few cups of leftover pasta stopped water from draining. To avoid chemicals, we started with a sink plunger, followed by boiling water and repeating with plunger. Before running out to buy LIQUID PLUMBER, followed various Internet instructions to use vinegar and baking soda.

After several failed attempts, we headed to the big box store for commercial drain cleaners. Now, several plumbers have refused to tangle with a sink that has 80 ounces of LIQUID PLUMBER in it. Astounding that LIQUID PLUMBER isn’t able to cut though soft spaghetti noodles but sufficiently caustic to scare of registered plumbers.

If one won’t a gree to come soon, we’ll need to buy a pipe wrench and auger for a DIY job. NEVER AGAIN, LIQUID PLUMBER.

I make Cold Process soap and Hot Process as well and this lye has never failed me. A few days ago I tried making shaving soap, which uses 2 types of lye, it still performed well. I’m SO grateful that Walmart carries it.

It saves me having to pay the high prices “soap suppliers” charge for food grade (who’s eating soap?!) and the shipping costs to boot. No thanks. My soaps are very good. It’s all about the formulations.

If the lye is good, and you have a good soap calculator, that’s all you need. This sodium hydroxide is a good grade for making soap. Five stars!.

Started using this dry product for slow draining, clogged iron plumbing in cement slab. Plumbing is from clothes washer, and kitchen, mixture of food grime and hair. I previously only used, “Professional drain opener” white bottle in a plastic bag.

Acid. It works great too, but this stuff no staining sinks. Dry so, get as much water out of the sink as possible, dump some in the drain, rinse it just to get it past the p trap, and stop the water and let it work.

The clog reacts with existing water and whoosh. Works great. always wash hands after even handling the bottle. Will burn and burn till neutralized with vinegar.

Bought combo of 4 Drano and Liquid plumber this time and only slightly opened drain. Saw Green Gobbler this time and decided to try it. Poured it slowly down drain last night and let it sit 12 hours.

Poured hot water down the drain, about a gallon and WOW !!!! Drain opened up fully. No more slow drain. This product was great. Have a super slow shower drain. Gets backed up every 4-6 months ( due to the way the pipes were installed by the condo initial construction).

Didn’t know this so bought my own snake at Walmart but couldn’t reach the clog. Hired a few outside plumbers who tried to clear the line from the shower drain but none of their professional snakes could reach it.

The last plumber finally told us what he and the prior guys had to do and suggested us to contact the Condo plumber since it was a main line issue. Have to hire the condo plumber to go to a specific main line and clear it each time but takes a few weeks and costs $150 each time.

Will be saving 2nd treatment of Green Gobbler for the next time!!!!.

do not ever waste your money on anything else but this. over the years I have used all of the popular products that we all know, and 99% of the time they do not work. for the past week I have been battling a clog in a toilet, it was solid.

I thought it was never going to happen other than with a machine or some kind of electrical equipment to remove it. last night at my last ditch effort 10:00 p. m. I put in the Green gobbler I left it set till 5:00 a.

m. flush the toilet I said oh man it didn’t work again, went to make myself something to drink and sure enough I heard gurgle gurgle. I ran back to the bathroom and everything was gone! it all had worked itself out because I left to sit overnight like they say they want you to it is the most amazing product I have ever used in this area.

Following the product’s instructions, I poured two units (one bottle) in the toilet and another two units (one additional bottle) down the bath drain.

so after a few hundred bucks down the drain (literally) a friend suggested this little drain snake. I tried it and will never buy chemicals again!!! I bought my little gadget for under 5 bucks and so far ive used it 3 times.

They are ment to be one time uses but mine still looks brand new so imma keep using it. WARNING!! Please get some gloves or something to hold this little piece of plastic with because the little “teeth” will hurt your hands.

Our sinks have always drained slow, I just assumed that’s how it is supposed to be. My husband is away and I got sick of seeing that the drains are all so slow so I went to see what there was at Walmart- plungers didn’t work and Draino didn’t do much.

I saw the inexpensive cheap and simple too and thought, “what the heck, if it works it works, I can get 3 for the price of a Starbucks coffee. ” I went home and started with my teenage daughter’s tub.

Let me tell you, this was super easy and we got so much hair that we were beginning to wonder how long it had been in there. It is not for the weak stomach folk, it was slimy from conditioner, shampoo and I hate to say it, but it reeked of mold.

One at a time we did the same with the bathroom sinks, GAG!! But the amazing thing is, IT WORKED!!! No more slow draining, not even a little! Honestly, it became a mission to see how much gunk and hair we could pull out, it was much more than we expected, but glad it’s flowing now and this Zip it is really cheap and super easy!.

Simple item that worked amazingly well on all 4 bathroom sinks, as well as the bathtub/shower drain (and I have 2 teen daughters with long hair!). So much safer for the environment than Drano and better for relieving pressure on pipes than using baking soda and vinegar to try to force the clogs along.

I will say that you will want lots of paper towels, because the hair you pull out of the drains will be coated in disgusting gunk. Have the waste basket nearby, and carefully pick at the hair on the Zip-it, as the teeth are sharp points of plastic.

I tried Liquid-Plumr Foaming Clog Destroyer on a slow flow sink, because my usual product was sold out. The issue is unkown, but believed to be large objects getting stuck in the drain, slowing the flow.

This product did absolutely nothing for me. Not even a temporary fix. I bought Liquid-Plumr Urgent clear (the product I usually use), the next day and worked like a charm. Honestly, I don’t know if this product is good for any specific issue, but Urgent Clear has worked for me for many different types of clogs on both Tubs and sinks in houses and apartments without any issues at all.

And Urgent clear is much faster than this product. I would advise this company to ditch this product and produce more Urgent Clears.

I’m sure I’m like many other people who have purchased this product. I was seduced by the double action it promised! If two ingredients have to be kept separate, then when you finally do mobile them there must be some big effect, right? Something powerful enough to smash through anything that could possibly be clogging my bathroom sink drain! Yeah, wrong! This Liquid Plumber Foaming Pipe Snake a Clog Remover did absolutely nothing for my clogged bathroom sink drain.

See they name it something like “pipe snake” to make you think it’s as good as the tools a plumber uses, but at a fraction of the cost of a house call. I think that’s pretty awful. In no way does this stuff snake out your drain.

It didn’t even budge the clog in mine. On top of being disappointed, I had to face my laughing husband ( who actually is a plumber) when my easy miracle cute didn’t work at all. I had been asking him to fix the sink drain in our bathroom for about a week when I picked this stuff up Ina run to the store.

I was sure I was going to prove him wrong and show him that even if he couldn’t make time to fix stuff around the house for me, well I could just figure it out myself. Nope. I sure couldn’t. This stuff was a total waste.

Next time I’ll just wait, or pester him harder.

I purchased Liquid-Plumr Foaming Pipe Snake Clog Remover for my mother. She had a clogged shower drain and this was the first product I saw in the store. I followed the directions and poured a little less than half of the bottle down the drain.

Since it was a very clogged drain most of the liquid was visible in the tub. I waited for 30 minutes for the liquid to work it’s way through the clog. I came to see that the liquid was still in the tub.

I decided to give it an hour and come back to check on it. An hour later and the liquid had went down the drain. I ran some water in the shower to see if the clog had been eradicated. After running water for a couple of seconds the liquid came right back through the drain.

I left the drain alone for 24 hours. The following day I poured the rest of the solution into the tub and left it alone for the entire day. I came back to the tub about 12 hours later to see if the solution had made progress.

Nothing had changed and the liquid was still sitting in the tub. I wouldn’t recommend Liquid-Plumr Foaming Pipe Snake Clog Remover.

Young visitors plugged our only toilet with massive goings and topped it off with a half roll of paper. The septic is already slight picky and gets jammed at the filter box with the wrong products. Normally no problems with us in the house, but kids! Anyway, roto rooter costs $150 bucks but these work great.

As with mouse traps, I tell the husband to keep one or two of these on hand at all times. After use, we toss them rather than store them as we do not have an easy place to keep something unsanitary as this item after use.

At this price, we can get 40 of them for the same cost as one visit from roto rooter.

My girl friend had a clog behind the trap on the toil, backing up on the the floor from underneath. Plunging just aggravated her mess. I went to Harbor Frieght an this hand drain cleaner was in stock.

I had reservations put at its price point it was worth it to save a plumber bull. It took a little patience to get the cleaner past the trap and start working the clog which was tissue and cotton. The water level in the bowl started going down slowly.

Then plunging it worked! This is a light duty drain cleaner but it did the job and saved $60for a plumber just to come out and whatever his rate was clean the line. I can recommend this cleaner based on my experience.

I purchased this at my local Wal-Mart as a last resort for a clogged kitchen sink before calling my plumber. I had removed the drain pipes under the sink and they were clear, so I knew the clog was just a short distance in the line.

I was unable to feed my plumbers snake into the line so I decided to go with Plan B, which was to reconnect the drain pipes and try a drain cleaner. I poured the entire bottle into the drain at bedtime since the instructions say to let it work for 7-8 hours (I think) before flushing the drain with hot water for five minutes.

We finally called a rooter company for help to find that there was. or is (it might still be there) a ball of roots with a dead rat clogging the line thanks to the camera that the rooter ran down the line.

The water was still standing in my basement, so I boiled another pot, dumped it down the toilet, then went to work. To my surprise (and much welcomed relief), I checked the drain in the basement this evening agter work and the water level there had returned to normal.

Washed some laundry, no back up. Did dishes, kids did their thing, used toilets as usual, no back up. I’m impressed enough that I came here to write a review. I don’t like writing reviews.

Didn’t work. SO wanted this to work because a plunger is just no match when it comes to my 12 year son’s MASSIVE dumps. My toilet is always in a constant state of being clogged or half way flushing. I’ve tried all kinds of plungers, rid x and other powders.

Nothing has worked. And this is no different. Guess I have to cough up the $ for a plumber with an auger. I cannot express enough: USE THE SPLASH GUARD AND DUCT TAPE IT TO THO BOWL!!! It is messy!.

This was a fantastic tool! I was skeptical as most people are. The instructions were super easy to follow. I even watched it done on a YouTube video. The first cartridge did not move a thing. First thought waste of money.

I replaced the cartridge and disc and bam it started draining instantly on the second try. Guess it depends on how bad the clog is, but it worked marvellously for me. Highly recommended!.

This product saved the day. On Christmas Eve our bath tub wouldn’t drain at all due to a clog. We tried a snake first and no luck. Last time this happened we had to call a plumber and it was $150. We figured with it being Christmas Eve we had nothing to lose but the $25.

The 1st blast didn’t work because we didn’t duct tape the overflow drain well enough. The 2nd time did the trick and the water finally flowed. Our home is a 1948 cape cod so the pipes are all exposed in the basement.

We checked for any leaks or broken pipes as reported in some of the other posts and there was nothing of the sort. In fact a couple years ago when the plumber came for $150 he used a similar more professional version of this contraption to unclog the pipe.

I’d recommend this product.

I purchase this to get rid of fruit flies which had taken up residence in my kitchen/bath drain. Did not work because the product not able to cling enough to the straight section flows to the trap (cleaned that area as advertised).

(My) flies laid their eggs in the section above the trap. Which required physically removing all sections and meticulously clean with small brush. Smells good and will continue to use as maintenance.

Still needed to pay exterminator expensive venture! Tried all do it yourself remedies for six weeks prior No luck save your sanity call the professionals. I will use this product for maintenance.

I used it 3 times in the effected rarely used tub drain where the drain flies came in. It worked. Haven’t seen any drain flies since. I also gave my kitchen sinks, bathroom sinks, tub and shower a one time treatment.

Have plenty left for another round at a later date. Pleasant smelling! No harsh chemicals! Priced reasonable compared to smaller bottles of other like products!.

The most recent batch I purchased (second one), seemed watered down compared to the first batch. I’ve been fighting these pesky flies for a couple months or so and I am somewhat pessimistic about this product.

If it doesn’t work this time, I will try a different product. So far,it’s not looking good for bio drain. Couple doses left and although it has helped some, I still have an issue.

This thing is a wonder and a godsend! I have tried other plungers and devices to unclog sink drains, and this really beats them all. After the first few seconds of spinning the wand halfway down its length, I got some resistance, then pulled the wand up.

I got a big clog of black gunk and tangled hair. After cleaning off the wand tip and repeating this action twice more, the sink was completely unclogged and draining like it hadn’t in years. If you suffer from a slow draining or clogged sink or shower drain, you must first try this before calling a plumber! It will more than pay off for itself.

A tip — the wands are supposed to be disposable, but if you clean the tip well enough, you can reuse it again.

IF you have long hair and you HATE to stand in water as you shower. GET THIS. To me the amount of HAIR pulled out of what my husband thought he already got out. was amazing. He hates when I buy these things.

so I didn’t show him. He usually “snakes” our drains every now and then because HE can not stand hair clogging the drain and making the water run slow. SO I went into our downstairs shower first. I actually thought.

this isn’t going to work. but low and behold after I wriggled the thing down the drain. a large amount of hair came out. My 2 sons and I both have A LOT of hair. I sent this to college with my 2 sons for their shower as they both have longer hair.

I haven’t heard if they actually tried it. I noticed the other day that my upstairs shower. which my husband always “snakes” if it runs slow. was starting to slow down. So I decided to give it a try.

Low and behold I managed to pull out large amount of hair. I for one do NOT try to clean mine. I just throw it out. Too gross for me. I did not get much out of my bathroom sinks. small about of gunk but nothing like the tubs.

SO in my opinion use THIS ONLY on drains that are clogged with hair as the other “gunk” may be better to just use liquid drano on as these are way to expensive to use on just gunk. It sure drags out the hair but for the price.

and what you get. AS MUCH as I love it. I feel I have to save it for the shower drains with the hair. IF not for the $$ this would get 5 stars. Such cheap product should come with at least 10 little attachments with an option to buy just the attachments once you buy your first set of handles.

If you have clogged slow drains because of long hair. you won’t be disappointed in these little wonders. I think I impressed my husband. so I will buy more although they are a bit pricey for what you get.

BE careful with the little wands they will stick to your cloths and any material and snag it. To be honest they are easy to use because this isn’t my thing. un clogging drains I leave up to my husband but since he doubts some of these “finds” of mine I had to show him it worked ! It’s our pet peeve to stand in water in a shower so these little gems are a must for us !.

I very seldom write reviews about anything but I just received this product and immediately tried it in my bathroom sink and tub. It works just like its shown in the video. My bathroom sink has been clogged for some time, I’ve used all the common products to remove the clog but nothing worked.

My tub was the same way, water took forever to go down. Just following the simple instructions it took a matter of minutes and I couldn’t believe the hair I pulled from the drain in both the sink and bath tub.

Both are unclogged and the water drains quickly. I couldn’t be happier. I would have to say even though they said you could re-use them I don’t think you would want to and they would be extremely hard to clean.

For $20. 00 I ordered another set to have on hand, much cheaper than a plumber and much easier than taking the drain apart to remove the clog. Less messy too!.

The benefits outweighs the minor inconvience of using hot water to activate. Does not instantly destroy, skin, clothes, or metal plating like the pro- liquid cleaners (sulfuric acid) will. Won’t ‘leak’ if you don’t fully tighten container cap.

Odor much reduced when contacted with organic material as compared to acid. All that being said, it is obviously not safe to consume or touch, and don’t go sticking your face near the drain to ‘see if it’s working’.

Safe for metal and plastic pipes, and tailpieces, but if you have existing leaks, they will get worse. You will still have to siphon out standing water on totally clogged drain, but you would have to do that with acid too.

Watch out for violent reaction when accidentally combined with any acid product. i. e. if someone used liquid acid first don’t use this!.
