20 Best Thermal Curtains For Patio Door (2023 Updated)

I ordered the Chocolate which is the exact color as the picture on the website. I wanted to try something a little lighter, so I then ordered the Barley. Now that one is nothing like the color on the website.

It looks more like the Taupe (label says Barley so I did get the right one). I will be returning the Barley and keeping the Chocolate. But aside from not all colors being represented accurately, the curtain is very nice and does the job.

I was ready to return these because after I ordered them, I noticed one hidden picture on a review that showed a black liner. So beware, from the outside, you will have a black curtain! And I was using them in our large living room windows.

Also, as others noted, “white” is more of a pearly gray. I happen to love it next to my darker gray walls. I decided to keep my sheer white curtains in the middle and close the blackouts for privacy at night.

It looks less like a shower curtain. And I used 3 panels per window. I was pleasantly surprised at the feel and quality of these. I don’t usually like shiny curtains but this has the right amount of sheen.

And as long as you thread them with the seams inside, they look fine from the street. (otherwise you see the white against black seams). I haven’t tried to iron these yet, as you can see. I haven’t had much success ironing with a “cool iron” in the past and it’s a pain.

These pics are right out of the bags. Overall, I was expected to be disappointed with this delivery and ended up being thrilled! These will provide the nighttime privacy I want and look very nice during the day! As long as you’re aware of the color and black liner, I think you’ll be happy with these for the price! I am!.

Calling something “Sun Zero” implies that these are “blackout” curtains. I can only hope that this part of the description will be more accurate. “The woven solid design reduces light and noise for better sleep.

Helps to keep your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. ” If one does read further into the details it does say this: “Room darkening technology blocks out some unwanted light while enhancing privacy.

” I will say these curtains barely block out any light. As other reviewers have mentioned, these are basically sheers. It’s too much of a hassle to refold these curtains to put them back in the package to return them.

So I will just keep them to hopefully add some heating and cooling conservation to the other curtains that I was going to replace.

I already purchased some “room-darkening” panels and installed them on a rod outside the window frame. They were less expensive than these “black-out” panels, but were not blocking enough light. These “black-out” panels fit inside the window frame very tightly.

The “black-out” panels are much heavier and work better, except for leakage around the edges Two of these panels will fit inside my big window (90″wide by 54″long) perfectly. Another single panel fits my smaller window (36″wide by 54″long).

I will hang the “room-darkening” panels over them and be DONE!.

Got these curtains for our children’s rooms to block out the light for naps and nighttime. So far both kiddos are sleeping very well, and not waking up at the crack of dawn like they did with our previous blackout curtains (different brand) that were not as strong.

The curtains are good 100% blackout. But the color pure white outer curtain turns gray white because the black layer shows through the pure white outer layer enough to change color a little.

This isnt like RC cars from the past that could barely go over carpet this thing is really fast! Its definitely not of the same quality as the big name brands and its pretty small but for the money its amazing.

I bought it for my five-year-old but Ive had a ton of fun with it. We are only on our first battery so time will tell how durable it is but it seems to be pretty good. I love that it has a remote high low speed low speed is great for him and beginners and high-speed is a lot of fun for me.

Very nice thermal curtains that really block out afternoon sunlight. Beautiful burgundy color with burnished brass grommets that slide easily on drapery rod. Straight out of the package no funky smell and very few wrinkles that quickly disappear upon hanging on rod.

I have extra wide big Spanish windows so use two panels for each window for excellent coverage on South facing windows. They keep out the heat and look great at a fabulous price. Very happy!.

I bought this room divider 8ft. H x 10ft. L to separate two spaces in one room. The curtain is opaque and fairly heavy so it hangs nice and flat. The grommets have a 1. 5in. diameter on the inside so I used a 1in.

steel pipe for a rod. The top of the grommets are at 8ft to the floor which makes hanging the rod at 8ft. easy. There is a couple more inches on top so you need a ceiling a little over 8ft. high for this application.

I believe they make a 7. 5 ft too. Overall this works perfect for my needs. And nothing cheap about the quality.

I use as a barrier between the kitchen and laundry room which has no furnace venting. In the winter it’s a bit drafty. I’ve been looking for something heavy enough not to move with the slight draft. These work the best out of ALL that I’ve tried.

They are extremely soft but heavy enough to stop the draft. Highly recommend for use on any window and door frame barriers.

I was so pleased with the workmanship and fabric of my new black-out curtains. Just one other commend concerns the color given as “beige”. It is more of a taupe than a beige. This was a disappointment and I will probably give them to my daughter who has a taupe color throughout.

In the meantime I will search for a true “BEIGE”…. hopefully as well made as yours. J. Quinn.

This bra looks awesome once it’s on but the big issue is the boob pads which are constantly shifting and somehow manage to roll inside the garment when you are putting it on. If you don’t mind spending a couple of minutes trying to shift the pads into place every time you put it on, go for it.

The bra is cute, not ideal for larger (DD+) busts as there is not a great deal of support and the side boob is visible due to the cut.

Surprised by the quality. The material is thick and they truly do block out the light. I was impressed. I bought the gray. They are a nice shade of gray. I would 100% buy these again.

I am IN LOVE with these curtains!!!! They are gorgeous in person and they literally changed the look of my new home instantly. I have three big windows all on wall wall and hung these about 8 inches higher than the window AND WOW!!!!!! I can’t say enough and I am hard to impress.

They are great quality and luxuriously soft. The silver pops but in a classy ( not tacky) way. I also purchased more for my smaller Windows as well in the other color. We put these up last night and I woke up to a dark house so I can definitely say they perform well as far as blackout curtains are concerned.

We live in Cornwall with an east facing bedroom and were getting blinded by the very early morning light with normal curtains. We looked for blackout curtains elsewhere and they cost an arm and a leg.

These were really cheap and totally do the job – the light only comes in the sides and top, which is a curtain rail issue, but we don’t mind because we know it’s morning without getting blinded. The designs great as well and the green colour looks great with our purple walls.

Absolutely lovely curtains. Im chuffed with the quality. I rarely leave reviews but so happy with these that I had to! They’re actually blackout too! I’ve tried a few curtains that claim to be blackout and let sunlight through.

You definitely will not be disappointed if you purchase these. (Maybe measure though, I didnt and they touch the floor, but that’s on me not the seller!).

This curtain is great but disappointing that it comes just one panel for that price. Returning because it’s much cheaper to buy two panels for the same price or less somewhere else. Otherwise it’s very pretty in person and thick material.

We replaced our dated vertical blinds in the dining room with this beautiful blackout curtain in the perfect width. It is a sturdy yet lightweight fabric with a great texture. Since the material is all polyester, I am hoping it will be easy to keep clean from dirt and pet hair.

The instructions say not to iron, but I was able to steam out some of the deep wrinkles by gently pressing a warm iron over a damp cotton cloth on top of the fabric.

The color is not the same as in the picture. The fabric is like plastic instead of polyester as it is labeled. It is advertised as a room darkening curtain but the package is checked black out. Not at all what I thought it would be.

This review is for the Eclipse Phoenix Solid Color Blackout Grommet Panel Pair, set of 2, size 37 inches wide by 63 inches long, in the Chocolate color. The intended use was to cover a storage area off the family room, and they seem fine for that.

These are the first blackout curtains I’ve had. My assumption was that a blackout curtain would be impenetrable to light. These don’t let much light through, but if I hold it up toward the light from the window and try to see through it, it’s possible to see a few tiny specks through the curtain.

Thus the reason for 4 stars rather than 5. It’s nice that these are packaged as a pair. Since there are two, and they happen to match the living room draperies, one can be used to cover the storage area as intended, and the other can fill the slight gap between the draperies in the other room.

These come packaged well. If you have trouble figuring out how to get them completely out of the packaging, be aware that the plastic hanger that they’re folded through has a corner that snaps and unsnaps.

Just unfold the curtains and unsnap the bottom corner of the plastic hanger to get them out, and enjoy!.

I bought 2 of these curtains for our new bedroom. At first sight I thought I was going to have to return them, because the packaging, not the zulily box, was all ripped up. But after hanging the curtains, they are in almost perfect shape, a very tiny pin hole in one panel.

Only seen when sun shining. Otherwise, everything is great.

Bought this curtain for a sliding door to replace the ugly vertical blinds. Not as thick as I thought it would be. It has a very thin backing to it to make it thermal, but very thin. But, I like the look of it and works well in my home.

Very well as blackouts. Nice looking. BUT One problem that I noticed is a couple of tiny spots on fabric where light from the backing is visible. Very noticeable as the backing is white.

I bought this when it was final sale, and also no reviews, but I still really like it. It is definitely “oversized”, and it is too big, even for what the style is aiming for. I am a solid Medium for almost everything with a bust of 34DD, but a Small would have been better and still oversized.

The taupe colour is beautiful and I love it. I don’t mind that it’s huge, but some might. Size down if you want oversize and not way too big.

While this jacket is designed for spring/temperatures the design allows for layering underneath and I’ve been wearing it all winter. It’s great for driving and quick trips to the store. Appears to be water resistant and wind proof and even being oversized has a flattering fit.

It would be even warmer if it had a zipper closure but I don’t mind the snaps.

This curtain is a great product. It’s kept our house warm during this harsh winter in the North East. I would recommend this curtain to anyone who has a sliding/patio door or even a very large picture window.

The fabric is of great quality and the color goes well in my dining room.

We were under the impression that the curtain came with the rod but unfortunately it didn’t. This one wasn’t long enough for our space so we had to order another one from a different vendor that did come with the rod.

However the curtains are just as described which is good being you never know what you may get on eBay.

The curtains themselves are nice and thick and feel like quality material. I will say, however, that the light pink color is not like pictured, it’s more of a “it’s a baby girl!” Pink if that makes sense.

I was expecting a very soft pink to go with my other blush decor but this is definitely not that! Tried to get a picture but the lighting adjustments on the camera make it seem softer than it is. Still works well at keeping the light out though!.

Let me just say, I am a picky person and I highly recommend these. I spent a solid month looking for curtains and returning curtains twice. I know everyone is looking for something different but these were exactly the right length and color for our home.

The are soft to the touch which I love, they look much more expensive than they were. I also like the bronze grommet, 95% of grommet curtains are silver which I have in another room and the look cheap.

We don’t have high ceilings, so I wanted them a bit higher than normal to create the illusion of a large space. They couldn’t be more perfect.

When I took this curtain out of the package, it was very flat and the creases were so pressed into the fabric that nothing will take them out. They are not pattern creases but rather random creases that came from folding the curtain to put it into the package.

Also it was advertised as a light and heat blocking curtain. It does very little to block either either heat or light.

I bought this to replace the ugly green insulated curtains I had. My critters trashed them over the 20 years. I loved the deep brown color of this patio curtain, so I bought them, thinking that they were insulated as well.

It has a dark brown silky back, which is beautiful, but not insulated or very room-darkening. Light comes through. not real bright, but definitely not a light-blocker. These are super easy to get on the rod, and I was really surprised that the rings were large enough to fit over the huge curtain rod the old curtains were on.

One really amazing surprise was how much bigger it seems to make the room look. You’d think the lighter color of the ugly green I had would have made the room look larger. nope. These rich, deepchocolate-colored curtains really make the room look bigger and the ceiling higher.

Because these seem to be a bit thinner, I think I’m going to buy another one to put on the rod, so the curtain is folded. I might also add another curtain rod and put another curtain up to add more insulation and room-darkening to keep the room cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

I was surprised at how light this panel is. The description said “energy saving fabric allows you to insulate against heat and cold. ” I thought the panel would be insulated fabric with that description.

I really don’t know what they mean by their description because this is definitely a light filtering fabric. I do like the panel and the color. Our weather has been quite cold, down in the teens, and I have not noticed it being cold near the patio door.

I guess I will know about its insulating ability when summer comes and the sun hits that door in the late afternoon.

We live in a rural area on The Tip of The Thumb in Michigan. The winters are cold here. I purchased three of these panels for 3 windows in our kitchen in order to keep the kitchen warmer during the winter months.

These panels are absolutely perfect! They do blackout as described. However, I can push them over to the side on the rods from the top and they will stay open for natural light if I want that. They are a stiff thermal fabric which is what you need to keep the cold out.

The chili red gives the kitchen an really nice added color touch to the brown linoleum and the brown kitchen table. I really love these panels and if you need blackout and thermal, these are the panels of choice!.

I got these for light control and to use as a more attractive alternative to vertical blinds on the patio door. I bought the midnight blue. The curtains are heavy, well made and really block the light when watching tv making the at home movie experience much better.

The length and width are perfect for my doors. My only criticism is that they come with a grommet header. Personal preference but I hate grommet top curtains. I made them work but it would be nice if curtains came with more options.

I recently redid the sliding door blinds/drapes and the curtains I ordered were just totally the wrong color and they were not black out even though they were advertised as such. I went online and did some shopping around and was looking for a specific tone of teal.

I found what looked like the correct product here and ordered it. It finally arrived and I got it all hung and I am definitely a happy customer! Color and blackout where is advertised and it fit well with everything I was doing.

I live in eastern NC and summer here can get very hot with temps reaching 99-100 degrees. I bought these exact same curtains several years ago for our beach home. They really cut down on heat in the summer and cold in the winter.

So I bought some for my living room at home. Still the same exact quality and price. Blocking the sun out and keeping my rooms cool help with the power bill. Just wish these had been around when I used to sleep days and work nights.

This is a nice curtain. They are wrinkled when they arrive so they need to be washed or steamed to get the wrinkles out. Its not completely blackout but it’s okay because they really do reduce the amount of heat in the home.

This fit perfectly for my patio sliding door and the color looks alright. I did not want a dark color because I wanted to keep the house looking bright. I would recommend this product to a friend.

I bought these for our bedroom and love that it is just one panel. The one panel really blocks light from the outside with no separation in the middle. We have similar curtains like this in our living room and really loved them.

Material is super soft and really adds some style to the room. Would definitely recommend these curtains.

I bought one a year ago and it has been great. It blocks the light and the fabric is great quality. My pets tend to get their hair stuck to it but washing it on the delicate cycle brings it out as new again.

I now have it in 3 different colors.

These were exactly as presented and came on time. I really like them. I got the brownish color – I forget what they called it but it’s pretty close to a Hershey bar milk chocolate (maybe not quite that dark) but I love it.

It was surprisingly difficult to remove the wrinkles, though. Steaming in my dryer didn’t work, washing and drying as per the label didn’t work, so I dragged out my steam iron and ironed them on my queen size bed.

That worked well since the curtains are so very large.

Another worthwhile purchase from Wayfair. These were so inexpensive and while they’re not what I might choose for the primary public areas of my home, they were perfect for our den. Cost effective to warm up the look and feel for the winter season.

I pulled the drapes over the corners of the black simple curtain rods to create almost a corniced look and am very happy with the result.

The color oh course. I love it! I bought a bedding set for my room and it was so hard to find the exact color for my curtains. After digging and digging in Wayfair I found a winner. The picture on screen is accurate with the item I received.

I honestly thought the color may have discrepancy but I’m impress with the result. because of brightness is my screen but.
