20 Best Table Saw Angle Gauge (2023 Updated)

I bought this small gadget to help me deal with a positioner. I found it to be extremely accurate and with excellent repeatability. For my needs, 0. 1 accuracy is accepted. I am really impressed how accurate it is.

It has a small footprint make it possible to attach it on small objects. The magnets are great. I had a flat, zeroed table on the shop and I zeroed it on that surface. After that, I was able to test the angle on the parts I wanted.

I was able to test the accuracy of a rotating table and I was able to fine tune the gears. The downside is the screen, difficult to read it from an angle. It is not backlited, but that’s ok. Based on a pendulum, I prefer it against the electronic gyro ones.

I think it is more accurate than the MEMS, specially in this price range. Therefore it needs some time (few secs) for the reading to be stabilized, if the object is moving fast or have vibrations. I choose this version (not ver2) because of the pendulum and I am pleased with this meter.

It came with two coin lithium batteries, after a month still works. So can’t tell how long it lasts. It came with a small pouch case. I highly recommended it.

I ordered this angle finder after ordering a few others and quickly having to return them because the numbers jumped all over although the other two different brands were on solid surfaces. The others dont compare to this Wikey accuracy.

Its easy to use and the angle is exactly the same no matter how many times you move it. I zero it out, flip it 90 degrees on both of its sides and its exactly 90 degrees. I tried it around 5 times and every time it was exact.

I also tried from zero to the 45 degree angle on a speed square and it was also the Exact 45 degrees every single time. With the others : 1) I couldnt zero it out to exactly 0. The other two would go from zero then jump to.

05. Flipping them on their sides would go 88. 6 and the numbers would jump up and down from the 88. 6. On both of the others I NEVER got a 0, 90 or a 45 degree angle reading. 2) The buttons were hard to press and didnt work no matter how softly or hard I pressed on them.

Its true to say that you get what you pay for. Dont be fooled by the low price on the others. Wikey is the BEST when it comes to accuracy and I highly recommend it to anyone that does fine finish work.

Small, solid, easy to use. Purchased for accurate setting of elevation angle and LNB offset of my satellite TV dish, but now levels our caravan, ensures fall in drain water pipes plus many uses in my workshop.

The accumaster is a great little tool accurate compact and robust. The 2 AA batteries make replacement quick and easy. Comes with a nice nylon pouch. The unit is easy to use with zeroing and data hold capabilities.

Magnetic on base only Ideal for machine setting and the handyman use.

I am extremely pleased with this product. It is very accurate. It helps me position my table saw blade better than the marks on the saw.

just got this miter gauge for a new table i just got, a hybrid table saw from Grizzly. Great saw plenty of nice features if you are on a budget, but the miter gauge is junk. now i have a incra that i use for those cuts that have to be perfect, but needed a go to miter gauge to replace the one i got with the saw.

no worries this is a nice unit.

If you have an older table saw that does not have the groove to keep it from falling out thats ok. You can take the wheel off of this one very easy. Maybe too easy if you want it to stay on. Other than that is a good quality tool made y delta as usual.

I have been looking for an Angle Finder for a long time – just never got around to purchasing one. First, there are just so many different makes and models out there, and with a wide variety of prices.

So, I just kept putting it off. The other day, a professional store (not a big box store) started to carry the Klein line of tools, and offered this gauge as one of their products. I dropped in, and after a little searching, I was able to find them and bought one.

I am very glad I purchased this Klein Angle Finder because the quality and the price are excellent. The unit “feels” right – it feels like a solid piece of gear. For example, the plastic case feels like a premium plastic that can take some abuse.

In fact, that is confirmed with the enclosed pamphlet that states the unit can take a drop of just over six feet. Cheap plastic won’t survive that. So, if you purchased a cheaper one and dropped it once, you may have to purchase another.

So how good a deal is that lower price, now? Another small point, is the plastic film that is used on the face of the unit. It has a bit of a “bit” to it. It’s not slippery. When you apply your finger to the surface, it will tend to stay there and not move about to hit a different function.

Yeah, a small point – a small detail. But that – to me – shows that Klein cares about the smallest of details. And that’s perhaps the best point for me to make. This unit is all about the small details.

IP42 against dust and water. Nice. “V” grooves on all four sides. Helps to hold the unit on pipes or different surface ares – like a corner. Nice again. And the display – it’s one of those “white on black” kind of displays you find on higher end products.

I have probably said way too much about this little guy, but I wanted to convey how well constructed this unit is, and the many smart details Klein has included. If you need a Digital Angle Finder, you won’t do better than this one.

Klein is an American family run company – another huge plus! As a Canadian, I always look for items that are either made in Canada or the US. Very important! Last point, I made the purchase with my own money and I am completely independent from Klein.

Bought this a few weeks back and was very skeptical about it since I’ve had digital angle finders in the past. Well I was quickly convinced that this thing is magical. I was bending a variety of different size conduits on a GL 881 table bender making 90s and offsets and this thing was on the money 100%.

Not only that but the magnet is so much stronger than any other types of this product I’ve used in the past which is super nice because usually the other ones constantly fall off. Not this one. And also comes in a nice little carry case.

Overall super convenient and makes bending conduit so much easier.

I’ve been bending conduit for over 15 years, especially rigid, and have always relied on old methods for matching bends in existing conduit runs. This saves great time when trying to guess the angle previously used.

Simply put this on the existing conduit, zero out the scale, and put on the bend to read the degree. Also, when bending it eliminates the need to level up the bender. Just put on the conduit before making first bend, zero out so your on the same plane, then bend to desired angle.

Can’t believe I went this long without something like this!.

Disappointing to say the least. No idea how to attach the gauge despite the simple instructions to attach it with the provide bolt. There is a flange with a hole on the bottom of the gauge but there are no threads to screw the bolt into it.

So, how do you secure it? Also, I can not turn it on, despite replacing the battery. I press “on” and nothing happens. If there is a trick to this, then it should be in the instructions. Also there are two different allen wrenches when there is only a need for one, AND there is a screw for which there is absolutely no function.

Where is the quality control?.

I haven’t used the gage yet but when I received it the digital indicator did not turn on. After some trial and error, I discovered that the battery tray and battery were installed upside down from the manufacturer.

After correcting this problem the gage works fine. I will be using it to tune up my table saw very soon.

This tool is supposed to make me a better craftsman by getting exact corner angles to make the perfect mitre angle. It was 2 degrees off at 90 degrees while I sat it on a known to de accurate 90 degree square.

Since it is inaccurate it is completely worthless. I returned it. I have ordered a metal one which has the numbers imbedded in the metal so I am hoping it will be accurate.

Once I realized this is NOT a Starrett product, in spite of using the exact same product number I was leary of it. I should have paid closer attention to the link and listing. I checked the item with a machinist’s square and found it to be dead on, so it will work fine, and at less than half the price of the name brand.

The only criticism is the numbers are a bit faint and should be bold black. Works fine though.

I have just started using the protractor and like it with one exception. Many measurements on my house walls need one leg to be shorter. I can’t see how this will have any impact on the accuracy and will be taking a deep breath and cutting one leg shorter.

I feel this is a very good tool at a reasonable price. Coupled this with ZORO service and it is a good buy.

Works well. Will use it to verify table saw angles. The only issue I see as it looks a little on the flimsy side. I am afraid of dropping it on the shop floor. I guess time will tell since I only used it on one project.

I do like the flip out display. I wish the LCD display was brighter and easier to see.

Straight out of the package , my battery was dead. That’s probably why they come with a spare battery , nice feature. After replacing the battery , I pressed the on/off button and it came on right away and I noticed how sensitive it is to the slightest movement until the adjustment nut is tightened.

I zeroed it in as they explain in the instructions. Upon trying it out on some inside and outside corners it appears to work correctly , keeping in mind that I am not an engineer and don’t have the appropriate gauges to accurately assess this product.

I tried the hold button feature and it worked as stated. After getting a reading on one outside corner I was cutting , I divided the reading in half and set the protractor to that number and set my miter saw angle to that reading and the cut came out excellent.

The reason I used the angle from the protractor to set my miter saw was , my saw is a older saw and not extremely accurate. However , using this tool made the end results of my project look very nice.

This tool would be great for the beginner , plus I have seen some self-proclaimed ” Professionals ” out there that sure could use one of these. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. I wasn’t good at all when it came to cutting trim , but now I’ve got my confidence back.

The angle finder is nicely made and works well. The metal arms are accurately machined, with clear calibrations and the pivot looks strong. It self starts when moved and indicates a full 360 degrees of rotation in either direction.

It is doing a good job.

Good product, 4 stars. Used intensively while building a gazebo. I wish it had smoother moving and more fixing joint. Overall, good enough, but not that precise tool as the tools used to be.

Per the web site, this is made for a Skilsaw model 3410 table saw which is a bit different than my older Skilsaw model 3400 table saw, but this part looked very similar so I took a chance and bought it.

It fits my model 3400 just fine, it has a 5/8 inch wide slot for this to fit in, whereas most table saws have a 3/4 inch wide slot. The only difference is that the knob on the old one for the model 3400 had a red insert at the top of the knob and a red ring at the bottom of the knob, whereas this model the knob is all black.

Other than that I think it is identical and similar in quality to the old one, that is, not the highest quality in the world but not junk either, it will serve its purpose. It is plastic and seems a bit light duty, you have to be careful to not overtighten the knob, but it works fine, you just need to be careful with it.

My model 3400 is getting older and hard to find parts for, I was glad these are still available new and they fit the narrow 5/8″ slot on the table saw.

Unfortunately these replacements did not fit our table saw. They were slightly too small. It would be nice if they gave more detailed information about what brands and models these parts work with.

Need a replacement for Craftsman 137. 248850 miter gauge model 2EVJ? This seems to work perfectly and so much cheaper. Maybe not as fancy, but it does what it’s supposed to and does it all day. 5th star would apply if it was easier to read and had indents.

I have owned two of these meters. Besides the obvious uses by the professional, RVers can find these very useful. AS all RVers know, your rig must be parked level so your frig will work properly, and won’t be damaged.

But how level must it be? Look in your owners manual. It should tell you the maximum side to side and front to rear degrees your frig will operate safely. Now you don’t have to spend extra time trying to get that bubble level perfect.

Your Starrett Angle Meter will tell you if you are within the minimum degrees for safe operation. It can be a real time saver.

Quality awesome, price even better. And from a trusted name in the industry is just plain super.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a very useful tool. The quality is sufficient for the use intended. One would probably pay three times as much to get a tool that is marginally better. It just does not feel like a Starrett tool.

If you use it within the boundaries of its intended use, it is fine.

Love the simplicity of this miter gauge, very user friendly & accurate! Does not have an extension but that’s what makes it very diverse being able to use the fence on both sides of the gauge, most other miter gauges with fence extensions can only be used on One side of the miter gauge.

This miter gauge is a great addition to anyone’s shop. Kreg keep it up!.

Just bought one . Is NOT square. It is precisely 1/2 degree off. What use is there for a square tool that’s not square.

This is my second one. The first was perfect, but the bottom got gouged up and wrecked my new table saw. So I bought a new one. It’s out of square, and no reply from tech support. Moving on to another brand.

Fit like a glove in the guide slots on my Skilsaw table saw 3400 They are discontinued and hard to find. The reviews on it said it would fit and it did. I’m happy with it. Not the original but it works.

These are pretty good quality, no real complains except the bar fits into the Skill table a little sloppy for my personal taste. but then it might be the tolerance variation in the table. not a too narrow slide.

Not a bad miter though. I would buy them again.

A handy thing for quickly setting the angle. I did not observe any problems with inaccuracy. Sufficiently intuitive control, you can figure it out without problems. The cover is flabby, crooked, but protects from scratches.

I like it.

Nice lid that stays in place

I first saw one of these in an instructional YouTube video and immediately had to have it. The one I got at Harbor Freight has all the features found in models twice the price and none are more accurate.

Any time someone asks, “gift for woodworker?” or “Newby tool recommendation?” this is my go-to. It’s transformative. You probably think your power tools came from the store calibrated straight and square.

They didn’t. You’re supposed to do that. The old way with engineering squares isn’t nearly as precise or easy as using one of these. For a table saw you set it on the table and press zero. Then it magnets to the blade and you can set the angle with high precision and minimal effort.

The day I got it I set the angle stops on my table and sliding compound miter saw, the bed on my drill press, the angle on the circular saw and several other tools. Some were off as much as 3 degrees.

Now I use it to set fancy angles. The maddening misalignment problems and gaps I had are gone. Don’t try to do fine work with crooked tools. Get a digital angle gauge.
