20 Best Tab S7 Plus Case (2023 Updated)

So one of the most annoying things about the new galaxy tabs is that the s pen is only held by a magnet, which is essentially useless. Although this isn’t a Spigen problem specifically it should be definitely be addressed for a rugged case.

In fact many of the reviews specifically stated that the case holds the pen securely, which is completely inaccurate and not even close to the truth. This leads me to believe that they are fake reviews, and Spigen knows people want the s pen to be more secure, which irritates me even more.

If I buy a rugged case from a reputable company, I would expect that they design it so that during rugged use the s pen would stay firmly in place- but it does not, and I have two missing pens to confirm that- at $100 a pop.

The tabs meant to secure the pen don’t even make contact with the pen until it is loose, at which point it can simply slide out the end. after losing 2 pens, I just quit taking them with me. So the bottom line is- if you need a rugged case for sitting at the kitchen table surfing Facebook, and you’re afraid your toddler may get pudding on it- and you want to pay a premium price, this may be the case for you.

On the other hand if you actually need a rugged case for outdoor use, or if you plan on taking it to a jobsite like I do, keep looking because you can buy a cheap Chinese knock off rugged case that is also poorly designed for about 1/4th the cost and it won’t cost you hundreds of dollars in lost pens.

Although it adds bulk to a very thin and sleek tablet, it’s still does its primary job of providing great protection! I am a huge fan of Spigen and recommended to everyone. You can’t go wrong.

I’ve had on my tab s7 plus since day one. No scratches or dings. And its kickstand is perfect for watching YouTube and HBO max. Great job Spigen.

The fact they sell this as if it’s a cover is a joke. This will offer zero protection should you drop your tablet. It’s only held on by magnets, and not the strongest magnets at that. Simply trying to change to stand mode will usually disconnect the tablet from this “cover” completely, then you have to put it back on, and try to get the edges and that little window on the back to line up correctly again (which they don’t just do on their own, again weak magnets).

I was going to return it but realized I like for around the house as a stand, but every time I carry my tablet across the ceramic tiles in my kitchen I clutch it like it has no cover, because this thing doesn’t actually protect in any way.

I was going to say it might protect against scratches, but I wouldn’t even go that far, since this cover will certainly come away from the tablet if you were to throw it into your book bag etc. It’s a very overpriced, glorified stand, and that’s it.

It’s not a “cover” in the sense that it affords any protection at all. Samsung should be ashamed for selling this separately at such a greedy price. Thankfully it just went on sale for half price within my thirty days to return so I’ll be getting fifty bucks back, but even at that price, it’s still overpriced.

The book cover is high quality and has a very nice feel to it. But I feel like the design is pretty meh overall. The magnet does not stick to the back of the tablet very well. If you try to tilt the screen to use it in the stand mode, 9 times out of 10 you’ll pull the entire thing off the tablet instead of just the bottom part that folds out.

The design is made so that there is a magnet in the fold area (think the book spline area for an actual book), so that the s pen can be stored there. This is a great idea in concept, but in execution it’s annoying.

This area sticks out past the tablet by nearly an inch. So with the cover open, holding the tablet becomes very uncomfortable because you have this extra 1 inch overhang. And if you folder it all the way back it just moves the overhang to the other side with a harsh edge to boot.

I bought the case from work with my discount and even though it was still the most I’ve ever spent on a case, I loved it and thought it was worth it for the first 2 weeks. It offers nice protection and I like the separate piece that acts as the stand because you can either attach it for portability or leave it off to reduce bulk.

I almost never use a stand with my tablet so I thought it was a nice change from the way most tablet cases that have the stands built in, because at least I know I’ve got something if I do want to use it but I don’t have to worry about a little stand piece accidentally breaking off, which always seems to happen to my stand cases.

My biggest problem with this case is the built in screen protector, which is surprising because, at first, I was excited to see OtterBox put the screen protectors back on the defender cases, at least for tablets.

However, after about 2 and a half weeks, I pulled my tablet out of my backpack (where I keep it by itself in the separate laptop compartment) and it was split from the top right side of the tablet almost half way down the screen protector.

Normally this kind of thing wouldn’t bother me too much because OtterBox makes it so easy to place a warranty exchange order. Honestly, I wouldn’t even buy defender cases if it wasn’t for OtterBox’s warranty policy because, if you’ve ever used the defender case before, you know eventually the rubber becomes loose around the shell but I know OtterBox backs their product and I’ve never had a problem with placing an order for an exchange until now.

For whatever reason the tab S7 defender case isn’t available for warranty claims, and I’m out of the return window so I can’t get my money back either. Had I known that OtterBox wasn’t going to back this product the way the do with a lot of their other products, I never would have bought it in the first place but instead I basically ended up throwing away money because I ended up throwing away the case.

Normally I’m a big fan, but this experience has me questioning if I should even keep using OtterBox for my other devices if OtterBox isn’t going to back their products the way they used to.

I bought mine a few weeks ago I bought 5. The box was hard to take a part when I was trying to assemble for the first time I actually broke it trying to wrip it apart to unassemble. BUT one I figured it out it was so easy I had 4 other of the same otter boxes to assemble and those were easy and fast but that was once I figured it out with the first box.

I would encourage otter to maybe add a video on how to assemble this box somewhere on the site I tried to look for one I couldn’t find one. I called customer service after the fact and they offered to send me a video with instructions but I declined since I figured it out.

If anyone needs help with assembling I would say contact customer service. BUT like I mentioned once I figured it out it was easy and fast and I was like duhh self that’s how it goes lol. But I love the case I bought 5 for my kids.

It is a awsome form of protection and it has multiple layers the case looks very durable and feels durable. I recommend this case I recommend calling customer service for instructions on how to install but other then that another awsome case otter box.

I always buy this companys cases for all my devices I would like to recommend to Otter box it would be awesome to offer different color/ design cases for Samsung. Example this case in a purple or pink.

best protective case ever.

Just got it. Not disappointed. Tablet fit snug in the case and doesn’t feel or sound loose when shaken. Glad it has a screen protector. The stand is a joke. It raises the tablet like 15 degrees. I guess that would be great for typing.

I do feel a little biased towards OtterBox Defender Series cases. Had one for my LG G5. Dropped it so many times, even off a roof of a house once. Bout a 10 ft drop onto a concrete driveway and the phone was just fine.

Case didn’t even pop apart. Canceled my insurance shortly after and still have the phone in great condition years later. In fact, one of the reasons I got this tablet was that a Defender series case was made for it.

Starting with I’m a big fan of UAG iPhone cases. The only case I would use and recommend all the time. However, I was disappointed with Samsung S7 tablet case. Material is not the same as phone cases which isn’t a big deal as long as device is protected.

But the case is loose and easily removed, especially the top part where is no connection on the inner side of the tablet by the on/off button, and that is where I noticed a chip on my tablet and I haven’t dropped it once.

The other defeated purpose is the bent where the tablet is supposed to rest for standing position. Basically, doesn’t exist! Doesn’t matter how straight and stable the surface is, it’ll slide right away, and if I spend few minutes to get stand, it drops immediately once sound is on.

I had to buy multiple stands to resolve this issue, which shouldn’t exist per advertisement and high price! I’m so frustrating, this is the longest review I’ve even written.

Perfect item, the protection it offers and it’s practicality makes it a very recommandable buy. My tablet does not slip, fall nor gets scratched with this on. Every inch is protected and the quality is excellent.

It’s a good case. But it’s not what was in the picture. Im guessing it’s an updated model. I got this case because I only ever buy UAG 🙂

It’s a nice keyboard cover. It is particularly nice in that it draws power from the tablet so charging is not required. The only downside is it sits very close to the screen as they all do and bumping the screen with a finger or knuckle while typing is very annoying.

It would be clever of them to have a way to disable the touch screen while typing on the keyboard. Even a 1 second delay after a key is tapped would cover nearly all accidental screen taps. It does seem a little expensive though.

This item acts as a Protective cover, and a keyboard, and a stand. I have not yet needed to remove my tablet from the keyboard cover yet. It is however extremely easy to remove the tablet from the keyboard/cover as it is just held in there by magnets.

When you open it up to use the tablet and keyboard you find the tablet just sits on the electrical contacts of the keyboard to power it. Simple. There is even a position to leave your S Pen safely held in place by magnets.

Disappointed. There is no Capitals Locked indication. Found this when typing in my password for online banking. Kept getting rejected then realised Caps Lock key had been pressed earlier. Because passwords are hidden I didn’t see the caps as I typed and not all password entry screens have an eyeball to allow viewing of what you have typed.

The cheap USD40 one I have on my old tablet has a blue LED which lights when the Caps Lock is selected.

My son purchased a tablet about a year ago and didn’t purchase a case for it. Unfortunately, I picked up the wrong one but that is my fault. Having a quality case on any device is a must. I’m always afraid of accidentally dropping and breaking my devices so I always look for a case that is designed to protect my tablets or phones.

This case does that job, it provides protection around the edges and it is rugged to cushion an accidental drop. The price is a bit of a set back but it is still a good investment. Overall, I highly recommend this case to protect your Samsung Galaxy Tab S7.

One word: impressive. My last iPad had a life proof case that I paid $75 for. This case seems as sturdy as my living proof. I like the mint green color. I am impressed by the Velcro handpiece on the back, it rotates 360 so you can hold your iPad landscape or portrait.

This folio cover for the Samsung S7 does a great job protecting this large tablet. And the cutout for the S-pen works well, and I have learned to store the covered tablet with its front side down in order to keep the pen attached to the magnetic strip on the rear of the tablet.

I especially like the magnetic cover over the camera lenses – great feature! The mechanical clasp to keep the cover closed works fine. When the cover is folded out to set the tablet at an (adjustable) angle, the restraining detente grooves keep the tablet from collapsing, even on my lap.

I am very pleased with this product. One little caution – be sure to press the edges of the tablet ALL the way down into the folio frame (’til you feel or hear it snap in place at the corners) so that a definite edge of the frame sticks above the tablet edge, to make sure that the four tablet speakers are not partially blocked by the frame.

Then check to see that the speakers are centered in their respective openings in the frame.

This is a great case! Sturdy and well made. I love how you have multiple viewing angle options (propping it up at different angles or propping it up to write on. I actually use the second angle the most since I journal, so if you write a lot definitely get this case.

the material is antimicrobial and has a texture that doesn’t attract dirt dust or fingerprints. It’s pretty slim and doesn’t block any of the screen when the tablet is in the case. You can also secure the pen on the side so you won’t lose it.

My only issue is that it causes the pen to not work on multiple areas of the screen. I have to lift the tablet up and then it works (from portrait mode the multiple spots on the left side and then the top and to top right near the back facing camera section.

I think it has to do with the magnets so I have to either move the screen down with my finger to use the pen in the middle of the screen, lift up the tablet or open the camera slot to get the magnet away from the tablet to get the pen to work on those areas.

It can be frustrating but this case is amazing despite that. Highly recommend!.

I got this for the tab s8 and it’s great honestly. I did have to turn the magnet case senor off in my settings because the case triggered my screen to turn off depending on how i held it, but i like it better with the setting off anyway.

It’s really sleek, and has a nice texture inside and out. It seems like a sturdy case thatll give protection for small drops. I’m loving the color of the pink one too.

I’m not happy with the built in screen protection. It’s plastic. and it’s not taught. It’s bubbled up from the screen. I bought the bundle package with the glass screen protector, not knowing the case has a flimsy plastic screen protector built in, that I can’t remove.

I haven’t put on the glass yet, but did open the box to use the wipe before installing the case, to ensure proper fit. The box is fairly oversized for the glass screen protector, which allows it to bounce around in the box.

The advertisement that came in the box, also shows many different colors and a shoulder strap version. when I wasn’t offered, nor saw any other color than black on the website. Would of loved to have actually been able to choose a different color.

The hand strap is. ok. It has to be loosened up quite a bit, in order to use the kickstand. I was given a small booklet of instructions for iPad installation. when I have a Galaxy Tab S7 plus. The blue tool that looks like a guitar pick, has no placement anywhere, which makes it easy to lose.

Overall outer shell is much like an oversized otter box and makes the power and volume buttons easier to press, which I absolutely love. Just heavily disappointed in no color choice, strap option, and the flimsy built in screen protector that isn’t removable, so I can just use the tempered glass instead.

Well its got its few pluses and a few more major fails. I like the outside hard plastic case covering the back and sides. Little difficult to get the case locked in place but once I got it was easier after that.

Also loved the 360 rotating design it makes holding the A7 do-able for reading without making you holding it with both hands which is really a downside for me because I purchased mainly for reading. Now for the fails – The outside “dust protector” which covers your screen is blue which makes it as though your using the blue light constantly.

It also has a grainy look to the screen now which is DEFINATELY a loss especially after it takes away from the better resolution of the Tab A7. There are fingerprints on dust protector and a black speck right in the center of the screen that I can not remove.

The dust protector also has a small space between the screen and it which causes a tapping sound when you hit the keys. Also in the directions it mentions how to put on shoulder straps but apparently this is b bought separately because it wasn’t anywhere in my packaging.

I’m Extremely disappointed in both this case and my Tab A7 I really hate to make another return but either are what I expected.

Not too good. There are striations in the protective glass. You see a prismatic rainbow hued glare, looks like translucent wallpaper design. Makes it tough to enjoy an old movie without reminding me of those plastic vacuum tube screen covers they used to make for black and white (from many years ago) to give the illusion of color TV.

It is not clinging flush to the screen just like those screen covers of old. if you, like me, keyboard using the screen instead of a tablet wireless keyboard, it totally can compromise your touch. Careful keying stuff in.

slows one down. It is rugged only in the back. Very rugged. Good for if you have to use it up a mountain somewhere.

Well made and provides a nice rubber protection all the way around the Tablet + screen protection that doesn’t cause any problems with the touch display. Also like it holds the pen where it’s supposed to.

Only complaint is there is no opening for the extra memory card slot so you have to remove the case if you want to insert or remove a memory card. Not a big deal, but rubber around speaker holes is thick and slightly muffles sound.

This is a good quality case that fits the tablet well. I also like the fact that the case has magnets so that opening and closing the front automatically wakes up the tablet and puts it to sleep. Whilst this is not a cheap case by any means, I nevertheless feel that overall it represents good value for money.

Bought the upgraded Galazy S7 having had a A6 for several years; every tablet needs a different size cover so welt for a different colour too – good fit, looks good – well pleased with it; seems durable and should last.

Good solid product. Fits well. (Does make the tablet feel a little cheap though – you lose the sexy smooth premium feel of the tablet itself – but i suppose any protective case would do the same)

Switched from an iPad mini to a Galaxy tab in 2020 when I first started grad school. Really nice display, appropriately sensitive touch screen, and the stylus was a nice touch for taking notes (though the stylus tip did become blunt quite quickly).

The adjustment from an Apple device to a Samsung device was a little clunky at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. I recently got a new iPad (as my old iPad finally kicked the bucket) and passed on my Samsung tablet to my mom, who really likes it.

I think choosing between an Apple versus a Samsung device mostly boils down to personal preference and what you’re used to/comfortable with!.

I really like this book cover for my Galaxy S7 tablet it’s very nice looking, convenient and lightweight. It’s also very economical and I like the fact that it saves the tablet from dust and scratches.

The outer cover material seems pretty durable, and would be easy to clean. The closure flap’s magnets are simply far too weak. Even with the pen stored externally in the elastic loop, I have to wiggle things around for 10-20sec to get it to hold closed.

When the pen is properly positioned in the recessed area to charge inductively, I’m lucky if I can get it the flap to stay closed at all. I find the overall experience when using the keyboard to be good on a larger, flat surface.

With the tablet at the middle angle, the setup needs 13in/33cm depth of surface; fully reclined: 14in/35. 5cm. I wasn’t quite prepared for how much surface space this setup would use before seeing it in action.

A 13″ MacBook Pro is ~8. 5in deep on the base, for comparison. When on a plane, I find it comfortable to use in tablet mode, after removing and storing the keyboard, but it’s been unusable in “laptop”/keyboard mode.

Consider that an economy class airplane tray table runs around 10in/25. 4cm deep if you’re lucky, this leaves around half the keyboard sticking out over the front edge of the tray. Since only about 1in/2.

5cm of the top of the keyboard is magnetically attached to the rigid base of the case when extended, nearly any pressure from typing or using the trackpad pops the keyboard right off the magnet (imagine pushing down on one side of an empty seesaw / teeter totter), sending it falling in your lap, or on the floor.

On the whole, I suspect I may end up replacing this case with a more space-efficient and rigid option, such as the 1st-party Samsung keyboard book cover.

With the case open like a book on a table, closing the case by folding the keyboard side toward the tablet can cause the keyboard to break loose from the case. It will drop and hit the tablet. It’s best to close the case by folding from the tablet side.

– Much like other cases which use a flap to secure the pen, it’s possible for the pen to fall off without you seeing it since it’s on the backside of the case when you’re using the tablet. Suggestions for improvement: – Add a loop of elastic across the pen opening in the case to serve as a secondary retention feature and minimize the risk of loss – Add a feature (loop of elastic under keyboard, for example) to hold a screen cleaning cloth (I keep one trapped between the keyboard and case which works okay but a strap would be more reliable).

I considered this keyboard because the Samsung OEM version was discontinued (and had poor reviews). This is one of the best accessory purchases I have made for any device. The keyboard and keys seem to be high quality (although very light and likely prone to impact damage if you’re not careful).

Using this when traveling or in bed has been very user friendly and easy to set up once I I had done it once or twice. I also didn’t realize this has a build in touchpad with mouse (I thought it was just a mousepad for an external mouse).

In summary, not the most solid/heavy/reinforced product available but it provides protection for the tablet and is a great bluetooth keyboard + mouse touchpad. Impressed so far.

I really like the cover. and gave it 5 stars, but maybe I should have given it a 4. The reason being, the cover fit the tablet very well, a “Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G”. My only issue is that I found out on a Zoom meeting I could not be heard speaking, yet my wife could somewhat be heard.

Upon close inspection found out the side tablet mike was covered, the center of the side slot in the cover was approx. 130″ / 3. 30mm away from the center of the mike and completely covered it. I moved the slot.

187″ / 4. 75mm and it works perfectly. I’m sure it fits other models correctly but not this one. I was able to take it to my garage and correct the problem, so I rated it at a 5 anyway. The cover seems to be of good quality, and hopefully it will last.

If you have a Gal Tab S7 FE 5G, and use the mike, check the side mike area and make sure the microphone is uncovered. I did not contact the company so I cannot comment how that would have went.

This is black rather than grey as it appears in the photos and looks really sharp in person. It has a soft lining on the cover to not scratch the screen and magnetically turns off the display. Would highly reccomend.

Good quality tablet case, looks to be strong and sturdy so hopefully will be good protection for accidental drops. Does pick up a bit of dust from bag, or crumbs off the bench, but easy to wipe down

I love the functionality that’s added to the tablet with the track pad and full keyboard. The fact that it quickly snaps on and off with no connection wait time is great. However a major issue that I see with my personal use is that it causes damage to the screen rather than protecting it.

I find that the keys rest against the glass and with the movement of the keyboard seperat from the tablet it has caused scratching on the screen. I feel that adding depth to the key panel creating an air gap would make this product alot better.

I picked this up instead of a laptop for business purposes and feel like I have made the right choice so far. I am far from a whiz when it comes to tech but I definitely know I purchased a quality product.

The one thing about me that I know to be true is I am a big Samsung fan. Everything that could be Samsung in a home or office hardware wise. Is you guessed it already right. Samsung This Tab7 though, it does everything and more that I need it to do.

Run it as a tab or go desktop mode via DEX. Pretty much seamless, snappy, functional and has all the bells and whistles one could ask for. Thanks to the teams and scores of people out there and all the other rigorrmiantz it takes to get a product like that into my hands.

It’s a little interesting to set up the right way. It is EXPENSIVE! (This is for samsung fan boys product buy ) it can be easily damaged. You lose a lot of the spell check/ auto fill with this ( or Dex.

Everyone wished the magnetic on the keyboard side was stronger. It is handy as ever though! It just misses a few key features to make it worth all that money! Never bend the tablet kickstand too far, or too much! 50.

00 might be a ok deal, but 40 is better! Take it completely off when claiming it in a drone holder!.

I bought this case on sale, which makes it worth it than buying it in full price. You can feel that it’s a premium case. The magnetic is strong and holds well the tab and the s pen. Even though the design is not made for protection, it gives a slim and expensive look.

The only con is with the black color, traces of fingerprints and stains can be seen easily. Also, i bought it as a new product but when i came to pick it up, the box was closed with tapes which means they gave me an open box one.

This tablet cover is held in place magnetically, meaning that is fits the tablet in a really precise way. It folds out to allow the tablet to stand up at a couple of different angles for viewing and has well aligned cut-outs for the camera and stylus.

Overall it has a high quality feel to it and is stylish and pleasant to use. I am not too sure how it would fare if dropped as I would imagine that the magnets would not hold the tablet securely against too much force.

Overall a geat cover.
