20 Best T5 Grow Light Bulbs (2023 Updated)

I planted my few tomato seeds in my window-sill greenhouse on New Years Day. A week later, I had sprouts. A week after that, my grow light burned out. This pack of replacement bulbs was the best buy for me.

They arrived quickly and the plants are growing fine.

Arrived within 2-3 days. Packed tightly and securely in a heavy cardboard tube then in a shipping box. These last me for about a year. Long burn life.

Worked perfectly. I did not need five of these, however it was cheaper than ordering one or two and playing very high shipping fees that most suppliers charge. This particular grow light bulb is a little difficult to find.

There has been many colorful LED technology setups flying all over online. I’ve tried a few but have been disappointed with their performance claims and inconsist quality issues. I decided to come back to this 2ft x 4bulb 6500k growlight fixture and my pepper/veggie seedlings couldn’t be happier.

At 96w total and with dual light switches to run at 48w, it’s a nice flexible fixture for an everyday gardener starting seeds indoors (maybe not enough for growers of other stuffs). The bulbs should last for years, inexpensive to replace and easily replaceable with T5 LEDs.

Can’t beat that.

Says it produces about 40,000 lumens. I haven’t tested it yet but seems to produce a ton of light. The hardest part was getting it out of the box. Came fully assembled and easy to mount (daisy chain capable) and has 4 bulb and 8 bulb modes.

Slim design. Heat 1in off light is not hot at all and too of light produces minimal heat. My pepper seedlings are loving the light. Yours will too.

I have a number of these lights, and they are one of the best I have found. The T5 tubes can be replaced with Sunlite T5 LED tubes to reduce power usage by half. They can be daisy-chained and have switches to turn some of the tubes off or on.

My plants are very happy with this lighting and grow very well through all stages of growth and development.

I don’t have anywhere close to me that sells good horticultural T-5 bulbs, so I have to buy mail order. In the past this was a roll of the dice. I’m impressed by the professional packaging from 1000bulbs even though it was a small order of less than a dozen bulbs.

Everything arrived intact with no broken bulbs. The price is very good as well. Many hydro stores inflate the price and don’t pack them nearly this well.

We took s chance on these and were glad we did! Such a great deal too. We have a microgreen business and these new grow lights are double the life of our originals. 20,000 hours as compared to 10,000.

Being familiar with fluorescent lighting I thought I had an idea of what to expect from this, but I was clearly wrong and happily so. First the light is a lot brighter than I originally expected for being a fluorescent, and the plants love it.

The Nano-Reflector really helps redirect what was once lost light directly to the area you want it at, and the light really puts out the bright light. Warm to the touch, the plants have even touched it and not been burned by light or heat, which was really nice to see.

It has truly been worth every dollar invested into it, and when I was off looking for find some more T-5 lights I couldn’t find anything that came close to comparing to the quality of this light and certainly not for the price.

When I looked into “Nano-Tech” I learned a lot about both the bulb and the reflector and just how far ahead they are and what makes this the best light on the market for the fluorescents. Whether you are just looking for a light for growing your plant or a light to help supplement your lighting from the sides, I really love this T-5.

I first started using these lights about eight years ago. My original lights still keep my garden seedlings indoors happy until the greenhouse is warm enough. I just purchased four more. I love how easy they are to move around and adjust because of their size and how they interconnect.

They give value for your dollar.

It works well. If the reflector (and light) is to be installed in a tight or confined space, you need to allow space for the attaching cords. First if you are linking the reflector parallel to another reflector, you need to have space for the cords to go from the end of one reflector to the other(s).

And next, you need to allow space for the power cord to connect to the reflector. In other words, if you are installing a 24″ reflector, you will need 27″ or 28″ for the linking cord to connect the two reflectors.

The same for the power cord, make sure that you have 1. 5 to 2″ space to connect to the reflector.

Plentof light to start your seedlings indoors and prevent leggy plants. In fact, if you dont raise it as they grow, you can ‘sunburn’ them. And Wayfair has a very competitive price on it, with good service like usual.

I had to build an adjustable ht stand, and jacked it into a high amperage timer to simulate sunrise/sunset.

This is my second year to grow my own peppers indoors to transplant in six weeks. Last year was so successful that I purchased a second grow light. I set it up in an extra bedroom and used a portable clothes rack to hang it from with a TV tray holding the plants.

So I am new to gardening and growing plants. I specifically focus on growing herbs in my home to use in cooking and thought it would be helpful to use a grow light to aid in the growth of my plants. After some research I decided this would be worth the try to see if it helped.

Of course I was curious to determine if I could get measurable results to determine if it was worth the buy. So I proceeded to use the same seeds and plant them in areas; one with direct exposure from the light consistently and another with only normal sunlight.

Before I get to the results a quick comment on the quality of the bulb. The first thing you will notice is this bulb is heavy, it is solidly built with nice plastic and a good thick glass lens on it.

SO you will need to plan your lighting appropriately to make sure it can support the weight of the bulb. The bulb also has a nice spectrum , which if you happen to catch a direct hit from the light, you will see every color the bulb produced in vivid color.

The bulb also produces a nice amount of heat, not too much where it will worry but comfortable and seems good for plants. Back to the experiment, I conducted the experiment for two weeks and monitored the growth of each of the plants.

After a couple days I got my first sprouts and was very pleased. Of course I know there is naturally going to be a randomness in germination rates, so I won’t include any analysis there. Overall from what I could discern, the bulb was effective in providing my plants the extra light and warmth they need to grow faster and taller.

There was a noticeable difference (I won’t bore with the actual metrics) but it was clear to see the difference. Another caveat of course is this wasn’t the most strict scientific method to ensure valid results, but for my purposes it was enough to prove the bulb was worth the investment.

If you are looking for that extra light and warmth or just don’t have any convenient areas in your house that are conducive to plant growth,t his is a great alternative that will get you the results.

The GE LED+ Speaker Soft White 65W Replacement Indoor LED Floodlight is extremely nice! This bulb has the convenience of a Bluetooth speaker and the practicality of a flood light bulb wrapped in one.

There are no cords to worry about and no battery life to watch compared to a regular Bluetooth speaker. This light is so easy to install, pair with other speaker bulbs, and it works really well. The instructions are clear and easy to understand.

It’s as simple as screwing it in, turning it on, finding it with your Bluetooth enabled device, and selecting it. Then it’s automatically a Bluetooth speaker that needs no other maintenance. It works flawlessly with other bulbs; automatically pairing them together once turned on.

The light itself looks nice; it gives off a nice warm but bright glow. The light bulb is significantly heavier than a regular non-speaker bulb, but my sockets didn’t have any issues accommodating the weight, the size overall is the same and fit in place of my existing floodlight bulbs.

The sound quality is that of a nice Bluetooth speaker. I love the overhead sound it creates. The remote is easy to use; the buttons are straightforward, and the remote is attractive. It gives you full control over the light and the music in one simple remote.

Another nice feature is that you don’t have to have the light on to be using the speaker. There are times I don’t need a light but can definitely use some music so I appreciate it still working even when the bulb is off.

I also like that you can change the light intensity with the remote as well. Overall, this is a really nice floodlight speaker LED light bulb. It’s super easy to use and the sound and light quality are great.

All bulbs lit up just fine! I was very relieved that none were blown. I have heard that that happens once in a while during shipping. The replaced the original lamps in my Duralux fixtures and are just as good.

I hope they last me two years.

Two things were above the norm. The first was the quality of the packing and the second was the light being emitted. I am using them to grow water plants in an aquarium. The plants are responding well to the color of light being emitted.

High quality, very bright, best price on the internet. These lights are certainly on par with other tubes costing 2 or 3 times as much. Really can’t go wrong.

These T5 6500k bulbs are more than adequate for starting my vegtable seedlings every year, for 54watts of consumption and the 5000 lumens it provides at color temp of 6500k one really ought to be satisfied with the balance of output here especially for starting seedlings.

the coolness of 54watts allows me to go as close as 4-6” from the tops of my plants, yes i go for intensity over coverage. 1000bulbs will always be on my to go list for bulbs. thank you for providing this product !.

I have been buying these bulbs from a local source for years but they no longer carry them. Ordered from 1000 bulbs and am very satisfied. The bulbs were packaged well and arrived quickly and intact.

I use this in an indoor grow light 2 x 4 application and it eorks quite well and lasts (light output) for about a year which is typical.

i acquired 2 bearded dragons and they were in dire need of a u. v light. the reptile stores sell the u. v light’s for 45$ a piece, 1000 bulbs sells the lights for about 4$ a piece! and they were able to have them delivered in less than a week!.

I’ve been using Spectralux T5 HO 3000 Kelvin fluorescent grow bulbs to produce superior harvests of buds and fruit on indoor tomato plants for years now. I live in a northern USA latitude that doesn’t support plant growth in winter, but, thanks to Spectralux 6500 Kelvin (for initial leaf and stem growth) and 3000 Kelvin T5 HO bulbs, I enjoy freshly picked tomatoes year round.

1000Bulbs is the best price I’ve found anywhere.

Bought a grow light from Amazon for seed starting and it came on time but with a broken bulb. I promptly ordered a new bulb from 1000bulbs and it came just in time to save my plants from getting spindly.

My only complaint is that I only meant to order 1 bulb. The package came with multiple. I didn’t see on the page where it said multiple.

We raise sunflower greens, and other sprouts, outdoors in the spring and summer. In the fall and winter we grow them in our basement. I bought some single tube T-5 HO fixtures at a garage sale, and they had either a red or blue tube in them.

When I went to replace them, $12. 00 a tube was the best I could find. On a sprouting site, many folks said the reds and blue are only OK, just find a High Output tube and try it, I did so. These Plusrite tubes beat the stuffings out of the *grow tubes*!! It was so intensely different in growth patters, we took photos of the sprouts leaning towards the Plusrite when a grow tube was on top of them.

Color of tube meant NOTHING! As we looked at them, tray after tray, level after level, you could see the plant tops stretch towards the better light source, going to the Plusrite tube!! Super fast delivery, from super nice folks to deal with.

After battling algae issues in my planted aquarium and being unsatisfied with the appearance of my LED lighting, i decided to go back to what worked for me before – fluorescent lighting. I opted for these T5 bulbs instead of high output since i figured two of these over my 40gal breeder would be perfect.

Turns out it is the perfect amount of light, and color rendering is waaay better than the LED fixture (Current Satellite). Plants and fish really pop under these lights, and they’re cheap! Perfect inexpensive lighting for installing in a wooden canopy.

We needed these hard to find light bulbs that go in on outdoor showcase. They fit perfectly and are on every night. I bought four of the same ones four years ago from 1000Bulbs and needed them again this year, so each bulb lasted only about a year.

This year we bought ten to last us longer. The shipping costs the same whether we bought four or ten, so you might as well buy as many as you can without making the shipping charge go up. The packing is excellent and can be stored in it.

All ten bulbs are in perfect shape to use.

I purchased this bulb couple weeks ago and it’s been a great product. It produces over 3000 lumens which is hard to find in a bulb with 6500 kelvin. My crops are thriving under this light and it’s assembly has made my setup more efficient.

I have failing eyesight. These bulbs make it so much clearer for me to do my dishes and work in my kitchen. Local vendors have the standard bulbs. They do so well for me, that I ordered more. Thank you for making them available.

They are lights, they come on, they are in the grow room, how long do they last? I haven’t a clue. As long as they do their job and last a reasonable time then they are worth it, what else can I say?

The best way to prevent “leggy starts”. I set mine up using a bookshelf and now have seed starting nursery in my living room and a jump start on the growing season.

My plants are doing great under the grow light. Super chic and modern easy to place anywhere in your house really. I love the overall look, price, and that they are LED and wont hike up my electric bill.

I also have 2, 2′ LED grow lights under my bar they light up my entire place at night.

Oceans Of Green, with Seas of Purple and waves of yellow and blue. I’m gonna need a bigger room. and for herbs and veggies? lol, unbelievable. I’m gonna need a bigger Pantry before Fall. Upgraded to this light for the following reasons, and super glad I did.

Price was prefect!! 6-T5 rated, 6400k bulbs (included) can be use from veg cycle right up through harvest. These fixtures can be daisy chained, & have 2 Dimmers for 2-4, or 6 bulb intensity. And at ONLY 324 watts on a 6 bulb fixture, I haven’t seen my electric bill go up at all!! The reflector is super high quality polished aluminum and besides being bright, dissipates the heat extremely well.

A really large footprint so it will cover a good part of your canopy and still be close. Heavy duty hangers, Vertical, horizontal, both. For an indoor hydro tower, hung vertical , this would be perfect! Super low heat, I keep mine 2″-4″ from the canopy with no leaf burn adjusting to the canopy with ratchet adjusters.

I WILL be ordering more as soon as the room needs more light, and that will be soon as my plants are LOVING this fixture. If you are a grower on ANY budget, these lights are for you.

i called the sales office to ask about a comparison of products; the rep was very helpful and took my order on the phone. the product arrived within a week in perfect condition; not one bulb was broken.

looking forward to using this year to grow my seedlings which i have been growing on my own for twenty five with an old pair of shop lights. very well made product. should do fine and hold up for many years.

Good lamp fixture everything about it is great. The only problem is VM express distribution. They suck. Broken bulbs bent fixture possibly used definitely been returned at least once. What a pain trying to make a claim or get anything resolved with them as well.

Good product. I have one that arrived through different shipper, as it was supposed to, brand new and it’s great. VM express should be shut down.

This is a big light. The ballast is separate which is great to prevent overheating. Lots of light, and heat. Great for a green house. not so great for a small room like I have. To much heat, and can’t get it far enough away from seedlings as to not fry them.

My fault for not being experienced and researching better. But a solid great light for the right application.

I bought 2 of them in 2016 and they have worked well. Bought another two last month (2018). You can daisy-chain them together so you only need one outlet and it reduces the cable tangle. You can run the two outer sets of lights alone, or the middle two bulbs alone, or all together which allows you position trays to get the right amount of light, and save electricity when you only have a couple trays.

They let off a bit of heat, so keep them off the plants a bit. I put starter trays covered in plastic on top of the hanging units to lightly warm them up to aid germination. As soon as they germinate they go under the lamps.

Robust hanging attachments. Couple of bulbs were broke back in the 2016 shipment, they were replaced within 48 hours. 2018 shipment arrived just days after ordering. They are a bit expensive though, guess you get what you pay for.

I will be using this grow light to germinate the seeds I am planting for my garden this year. It is the perfect size for the space we live in. I love the quality of the light output, how sound its structure is, and how aesthetic it looks.

I will be sowing my seeds in about one month, and can’t wait to put the light to use!.

I had one of the previous FEIT bulbs that looked exactly like the one on the front package and it was fantastic! This one is more cheaply made. I’ve discover the key to LED spotlights is that the glass on the front be Clear/White.

If it is clear, the LED is emitting the exact colour you want and the bulb is way brighter and more efficient. If it is tinted the colour you want, the LED is white and the colour is filtered through making it way duller.

Bulb seems cheap as it’s lightweight, but that because it’s plastic, which might be good as it’s harder to break(?). Light output is good, similar in brightness to my old school 75W glass grow light; plants showed a response.

Not sure how they get the wave lengths best for plants, but I expected output to look more blue. Does not get hot; get incandescent if you want to supply heat for speed of growth or germination. No comment on lifespan as I just bought it.

Low wattage is very good if you want to run on peak hydro rate hours. Stick it on a timer if you really want to save $$ and log the hours till it’s death.

The Canadian Tire app shows this bulb as NOMA brand but the bulb in the store is actually Globe. Bought a competitors LED par38 from another store for less money and it is significantly better quality, and not thin plastic as the Globe flood is made from.

The narrow construction of the bulb is also too small for the water seal on the base of the lawn spike. Will be getting myself a refund. will not be purchasing NOMA/Globe for floodlights in the future.

These lights were supposed to be four feet. They are about three inches too short. Moreover, they won’t fit in a regular fixture. In order to use them, you apparently have to pay about $35 for a fixture to hold one bulb or over $70 for two.
