20 Best T Shirts For Petites (2023 Updated)

I bought the light grey colored shirt. It’s fitted not relaxed, which I prefer. It is not skin tight-I’m 130lbs and 5’4, in case that helps you choose a size. I got the extra small. When I bought it, I didn’t realize I would wear it so much.

The shirt is comfortable, and I’m not hot in it, so it works for summer. The material is not at all see through. When they say “ribbed” in the description, they don’t mean the large visible ribbed style.

The ribbed lines are very small and not notable, they are probably just there to keep the fabric from clinging, and sitting in an unflattering way. It is soft enough for me, and comfortable. It is also comfortable to move naturally because of it covers up everything I want covered-I’m not a fan of plunging necklines any longer because it’s comfortable not to have to worry about leaning down, sun, etc.

It is 100% cotton, so it does not itch like synthetic fabrics do for some of us who have sensitive skin. In my opinion, the t-shirt looks great tucked into high waisted jeans. (Just raise your arms after pants are zipped up to get an even tuck that looks good and stays in place pretty well.

I got it in an XL and it fit me perfectly. It has been washed and air dried, since I air dry all my cotton tees. But this was the only Tee in the entire group, of which I ordered at least three others, that fit me.

Some were too big; some were too small; some were oddly cut. I have an order to return to Lands’ End for the same reasons. Nothing fit the same way. The hallmark of their summer styles appeared to be inconsistency.

Since my entire wardrobe, with the exception of my underwear, is made up of clothes I’ve bought from Lands’ End, I find this very upsetting and annoying. So, while I give this particular Tie Died V-Neck tee, which is a staple of my wardrobe, five stars, I cannot give their Summer Collection Five stars.

I sure hope Lands’ End reads this and understands that people like me; longtime customers, are looking for clothes from other stores, even though I like most of Lands’ End’s styles the best. When I get a compliment, it’s almost always on something I bought from Lands’ End, including this top that my husband says “looks like me” in style, color and fit.

I hope next season’s line is up to par.

I have been wearing these Land’s End tee shirts for many, many years, purchasing new ones as I feel my older ones need to be replaced. I am 5 feet tall so the petite sizes used to fit just the right length for me.

The shirts I received this time around don’t even look, feel or wear anything like the ones I have purchased in the past. The material is different and not ribbed like they used to be and advertise them to be.

And they are several inches longer than they used to be. Way too long to be called petite length. I was very disappointed and would not purchase again. I have shopped Land’s End for more years than I can remember, but the quality is not the same as it used to be, nor is the sizing.

I recently had the same problem with their sports pants. The petite size I purchased that I have worn for years are non longer the same as well. Different fabric and at least 3-4 inches too long in petite size and also had to be returned.

As I said I am very disappointed in the changes in the quality of Land’s End clothing that I have tried to purchase, and I guess I will be needing to be shopping elsewhere from now on.

I ordered this shirt in blue 2 times; one was back ordered for months. When the first order with round neck arrived, I thought I had ordered the wrong color, so I reordered blue in V neck, last fall, which was back ordered for months and arrived within the last month My original order was for a round neck and the back ordered one was a V neck.

Now I have two blue shirts in my choice of round or V neck, neither of which are the color blue; they are both more aqua than true blue. They both are relaxed fit, as ordered, fit fairly well, and seems to be of good quality.

Return shipping costs are outrageous, plus taking into consideration my limited mobility and energy to repackage and drive to post office, makes it less costly to just eat the cost of the shirts and donate them.

Very disgusted. Why would anyone one call a greenish color shirt blue? Land’s End is pushing the limits of back ordered items when it takes months to receive items; they will be seeing fewer, if any, orders from me.

Good quality of the fabric. I like stripes. My size between S and M. I took Medium. It is fashion oversized.

I ordered petite small size, but returned and ordered again a normal S size and it fits very well. Really liked the style ! #sweepstakes

I wish that the hemline is was just a little longer. I’m 65 an really don’t feel that my middle needs to be seen. I will wear with high wasted pants.

I love the pastel pink color of this T-Shirt! I also bought this in white, and love both. The studs are subtle and not too flashy, which I really appreciate. and the quality is superb. This Tee goes great with everything, and is a real statement maker.

Fits true to size, but if you like a looser fit, go one size up.

love the tee – the beading on the dark navy washed out to a white after only one wash – makes for a nice contrast. The light blue tee – the beading has not been sewn on properly and started coming off before wearing – have sewn back on the beads.

Wonderful fabric. Great color combination. But it is longer than any of my other Ralph Lauren shirts. Not very flattering on me. Grateful for free return.

I bought this shirt couple weeks ago. I washed it according to directions, but the shirt is now shorter than it was and I noticed when I layed it out to dry the side seams are not sewn straight. Also the neck stretched out.

For what I paid for this shirt it should not do this.

It fits me tighter than the model. I wear a small in this brand and most of their fired shirts aren’t this tight around my stomach. Still looks fine on tho.

It was very short. , not like the photo. looked like an old piece of clothing from the 1950’s. They also sent me two of these. I did not order two of these. Plus if you return anything from Chicos, they will charge you seven dollars for replacing fees.

Will never, ever buy anything from them again. so, be warned.

I have several pieces of Chicos clothing and love them but this isn’t one of them. It runs large although I wear a 1. 5 in their tops and my size wasn’t available so I ordered up. Even the size down would have been large.

Not crazy about the nubby fabric. Looks cheapl.

If you like oversized shirts this is perfect. Love the longer sleeve and the fabric is nice & cool for the summer. Easy to throw on over anything – need more colors! I normally don’t shop at Chicos but now will consider.

I have been buying pima cotton for many years from LLBean. I buy 80% pima t-shirts from Isaac Mizrahi on QVC. Both are very soft. LLBean stays soft no matter how you wash them. I bought this Talbot’s t-shirt in blue and a white.

The blue wasn’t as soft as my Isaac or my LLBean t-shirts but it wasn’t uncomfortable. The white version of this Talbot’s t-shirt had a slight stiffness and a slight scratch against my skin. It didn’t drape or feel like 100% pima cotton.

I have very sensitive skin which is why I buy pima cotton and organic cottons. At first I thought the scratch may be due to the hot, humid weather, but after trying on my VERY COMFORTABLE, VERY SOFT LL Bean t-shirts in the same weather, I realized it was the Talbot t-shirt”s material.

Talbot needs to check whether the manufacturer, that I assume is in China, is really giving them 100% pima cotton and, if so, if they are processing the white with a bleach or other chemicals that could be problematic.

I tried to go to Customer Service to leave a message and I got a man who, for all I know, was in a foreign country and for whom English was a struggle. He seemed like a nice person but I couldn’t understand him and he appeared to have difficulty understanding me.

He also appeared to have no authority what so ever. I shop at Talbot’s because they make petites that fit properly. If it becomes a chore and getting reliable help or management contact becomes a hurdle I will simply stop shopping at Talbot’s.

Life has more important challenges to confront than contacting a company to alert them to something that they might want to look into.

The fabric in this tee shirt is like the Talbot’s clothing of old – soft with some “heft” to it. I purchased two – one in the beet red and the other in black – both in my usual PL size (34DD bust). The beet red shirt fit like a dream! The black tee shirt, however, fit very differently.

It was 3″ larger in the bust and two inches longer in both its length and the sleeves. I will be returning the black tee, and, hopefully finding another in the store to try on. Based upon the difference in sizing of the shirts, I would definitely recommend trying these on before purchasing them.

I ordered this because with the term “Ribbed”, I was expecting a textured shirt. My bad for not looking up “Ribbed Pima Cotton” to understand that apparently it is the type of cotton that is ribbed (?), not the shirt.

One of the answers in the Questions section also led me to believe there was texture to the shirt. Even on “sale”, with shipping this was well over $30. That is way too much to pay for a basic long-sleeved T-shirt.

I ordered the Cinnamon color. It was as pictured on my phone; a very nice autumn rust hue. The shirt fit true to size. However, I returned it because I won’t pay $30 for basic T-shirts.

Soft and comfortable. Material isn’t thick or bulky, but will be good for cool days. True to size.

I can’t tell you how much I LOVE these tunics! I’m a big busted 5’7” size 12-14 and the large fits me perfectly! At 66, I feel most comfortable with my newly acquired Covid/menopause belly camouflaged and these tops along with some comfy leggings do the trick! And the length is perfect to cover what no one else wants or needs to see! I have many colors in both the long and short sleeve versions.

Ok. what can I say. I’m addicted! They wash like a dream with no shrinkage in a cold wash and then a quick tumble in the dryer for just a minute or two then hang to dry. Very happy with my purchase(s)!!!.

Love the Isabel Pima tees. They are flattering and very comfortableI am 5’3 and 160 lbs. The Petite Medium is a nice fit for me. I have both short and long sleeved Isabel tees and I may order a couple more.

They are my go to top at the moment.

SS’s tees are simply the best. Msoft as a cloud, generous, nice length, always always reliable as to fit. Ordered my usual size s, fits like a glove. Couldn’t be more pleased.

Much softer than I expected! Good quality, great price. I got mine to use as a part of a project where I embroidered my t shirt. I will warn about the sleeves, they are shorter than I had expected and do ride up a little bit.

It looks exactly same as photo, and True to size. Its 52% cotton 48% polyester (or similar) so not weighty and drys quicker, if wet.

Great fit. Color goes with many things in my closet. Nice quality. Light for summer. Doesn’t cling and it washed well too.

Ordered online and was afraid to even open the package. So fearful of another Loft disappointment. Nah, a simple white tee. can’t screw that up. Well, my fears were right. This is an ill fitting piece of junk.

The sleeves are too tight, the torso too short , the neckline not a true crew and the cotton is weird. Why or why do I continue to shop Loft??? At one time, 15 years ago, everything was so cute and well made.

And now trying to submit my online return. Loft responds that the order is not recognized!!!????.

I’ve been looking for this very style of tee. The fabric is nice as is the style but the sizing is way off and cut is extremely slim. I ordered a petite M which always works in every top I’ve ever purchased from Loft.

This top is skin tight. The fabric does stretch but is thin so not wearable alone, especially the white. This will be an under shirt option only. For reference I am a 36B bra, 133Lbs.

One of my favorite shirts. It’s a perfect layering piece. I did size up as it’s fitted but it’s very stretchy and the material is very light weight. I went back and purchased it in other colors too. I’m 5’3, 120 and usually wear and XS or S and I went with a medium.

A small would have been ok too but the medium works for me.

All sizes have run too big. I have had to exchange twice. I am keeping the last received and I will have it altered. I normally wear petite medium in pants and large in top because of my bra size. The last time I ordered a small.

Still needs alterations, which will cost, and this is not a cheap suit.

So cozy. Trendier cut than a typical sweatshirt. Neck is snug and a little on the high side, perfect to stay warm. I usually wear an XS or S in EF and went with a S in this. The papaya color is darker than the photo and gorgeous.

The shirt is true to description. Comfort is the byword. It’s soft, slouchy and roomy with extra long sleeves. If you want a boxy fit, this is for you. Works well over the joggers.

I’m the girl who buys things from thrift stores constantly. Whole wardrobe from SalVal/Playtos. I find things from WHBM there all the time, but i decided that for my honeymoon i deserved to buy something new from my favorite brand.

So when I bought this for my honeymoon, and it was super soft and comfy–i fell in love! Flowly, love the color, sleeve was just the right length Love the coloring, 4’11, 135/140lbs and I got an XS, and it’s still fairly loose.

Howeverrrrr I got a stain on it at dinner (can’t remember what) but it would NOT come out. Put it through the wash twice, Zout, NOTHING. The color of the tshirt didn’t fade which was good, but as I was trying to get the stain out, it tore 🙁 right in the front by the collar.

Only had worn it once. I was devastated. Paid full price, I was in tears over a shirt, as stupid as that sounded. :/ my hubby got a replacement to surprise me, but I feel terrible for him paying full price for a tshirt like I did.

TLDR, cute and comfy, but beware of stains it will get because the material is thin and may tear :(.

I was looking to replenish my t-shirts and came across this one, so I tried the baby blue. I absolutely loved the soft fabric and the way it can be dressed up or down. It is such a flattering cut – very slimming without being too clingy, which is good for those of us who are a little curvier.

It is a bit lower cut, but I love the way it looks with jeans or under a blazer. The cut of the sleeves is also extremely flattering. I am wide across the shoulders, so too much bulk makes me look like a football player.

This one is very flatering and the length of the shirt is perfect. I just received the black one and I am already scouting out the other colors! For reference, I am 5’6”, 155 lbs and a 36 C/D and I bought the small and it’s perfect.

Ok, I ordered this shirt in 2 colors, gold and blue. I loved the gold one although it is a different material than I expected. The blue however, the first time I wore it I went to the playground with my daughter.

I live in Florida and it was kinda warm so I sweated a little. Every little sweat drop showed up on the shirt as a darker color blue and it was obvious I had sweated because the shirt is light blue and when wet it goes dark blue.

I was so embarrassed. Not only that, now the shirt has been washed, it remains dark blue under the arm pits. If you sweat even a little do not get the light blue. I even splurged and paid extra for blue versus other colors because it looked so pretty.

This is a lovely tee that drapes beautifully, but doesn’t cling. The style is very versatile – I sometimes wear it with a white denim skirt as well as slacks or shorts. Lots of great colors. My only complaint is that sometimes Appleseeds’ tees have been a little inconsistent in the size.

I usually wear a USA size 4-6, and size S in Appleseeds fits well. Unfortunately, sometimes the chest size varies — usually larger that makes it look droopy, and more typically a problem with the sleeveless tees where the armholes may be too large.

So – this line is always good to check for more new colors, but I try them on immediately when the package arrives, and not assume that they all fit the same.

The Tee-shirt was well-packed to guard against damage to the clothing. The color and fit were true to the description in the catalog. The size 2X does seem to run a little big, but because the Tee is so well made and is made of fine quality cloth, I will keep the Tee and get it altered if need be.

Always get very good value from anything I buy at Appleseed’s. I’ve been a customer for ten years and have had very few disappointments. Good service and GOOD products!.

I have purchased many of the Costal Cotton Crewneck Tees. The ones from China are great but the ones from India are not. The quality of the Indian ones are significantely inferior to the ones from China.

I ordered two sizes because I wanted to use them together and even though I ordered them both in the same color, the color was unexceptably different because one was from China and other one was from India.

The most frustrating problem is that when I order the tee shirts, I never know what the country of origin will be so I can’t be sure what the quality of the shirts will be.

I’ve bought a couple of these in every colour, the hem length and relaxed fit is better than aby i’ve bought elsewhere. The downside is the lack of colour options. These are only available in black, white, grey and pink.

Would love to see these in a wider range.

I love these tops, I bought all of the colours just because they’re so soft and comfy! Lovely shape as well, I’m about 5ft4 and bought petite because I didn’t want them to fit too long so I wouldn’t be able to tuck them into trousers or my dungarees.

These are the perfect length, just reaching my hip bones. Basically they’re the perfect basics!.

I have several. The material is nice and thin and light! The white though is stupidly unwearable and see through! Black ones are fab but Need washing cold or they shrink.

I was so sad when L. L. Bean restyled its original Trail Tee (renaming it Streamside), which used to be a step above the average, plain tee, by offering an angled ruching detail below the shoulders. When I saw this new style, I jumped.

Here, the ruching is on top of the shoulders (more like accordion gathering than a gentle ruching), and the cap sleeves are shorter, but this is still a super cute tee, with that little added something that keeps it from being a just a boxy old tee.

Instead of a slubbed 96% polyester (which pills and requires using a sweater stone), this cotton blend has a nice weight that feels silky and drapes beautifully. It’s perfect in hot weather! I’ve worn and washed these tops several times and there has been no pilling.

I wash in cold, shake out, and drape over a drying rack with no wrinkles. I’m surprised other reviewers are calling the fabric sheer. I didn’t find that to be the case with Carbon Navy, Light Gray Heather, Nautical Aqua, Muted Purple, or Rose Wash.

I do agree that this top runs large. I ordered down one size, and it was body skimming without being too snug or too baggy. Do note that if you buy the long sleeve version of the Beyond Soft tee, it has no special details (no ruching), and the sleeves run snug in the upper arms.

So, I read the fit information before purchasing, and based on the fact that this is listed as “Relaxed Fit – our most generous fit” I sized down from my normal large to a medium. Now, I have a long torso – so often sizing down means that the tops are too short.

Not this time! I’m so, so happy with these tops. Even with the extra weight many have put on in the last year, the medium fits and isn’t too clingy, even with jeans. The v isn’t so deep that I’ll be exposing too much of myself if I wear this under a sweater/blazer for work, the fabric is divinely soft and feels substantial enough that it will hold up to washings, and the light blue color is NOT see through.

I ordered all 4 colors and I’ll be keeping them all, as I have a feeling that I’ll be living in these for spring and summer. The sleeve length is as-shown. The navy blue is more washed out than shown/I’d prefer, but it’s navy, so I’ll keep it.

2 recommendations for LLBean: 1) the logo should be along the bottom seam; it’s location up about 2″ is rather awkward (my husband thought I had a tag on me), 2) let’s get some other colors in here! black, white, and maybe something else fun for spring/summer.

These are the kind of shirts you can in live in 7 days a week. TLDR: as-promised, beautiful shirt, worth the money. If you want it to fit like model, size down (long enough for people with long torsos), if you want a baggy fit, go with your normal size.

I wanted to love this top. The fabric was very soft and lightweight. The ruching detail on the shoulder was super cute and just the kind of thing I look for in a T-shirt to dress it up a little. The picture made it look like the shirt would be slightly fitted but not tight.

In reality, it was shaped like a square, hung really loose on me, and was totally unflattering. I ordered a small (normally I’d wear a medium) so it would be more fitted, but I was swimming in it. I wish the photos would accurately display what the garment looks like.

For someone who is more square shaped on top, it could be really cute, but this was not for me.

This is a GREAT t-shirt. It fits my rectangular shaped torso without clinging, so hides my lack of a waist. It is just the right length and is very comfortable. The fabric is unusual–looks somewhat dressier–for 100 percent cotton.

After I tried this one on, I immediately ordered one in white, the only other color available. They each look nice with a sweater, too.

Runs a tad big yet it still looks fantastic. perfect length to cover up yet a classic look. the color is rich. the perfect spring top. the only thing i do not like is they show water marks , so if you try to spot clean, the water mark will show until you wash the whole top.

It’s so hard to find a t shirt that fits perfectly. Well this one does. It fits perfectly at the neck and the arms come a little further down towards the elbows. The curve at the bottom is ideal. There’s a very slight flare at the bottom so the shirt doesn’t cling but the look is slim and wonderful.

I love the fabric, very good quality.
