20 Best T Mobile Signal Booster (2023 Updated)

Setup may be difficult for a novice. Took numerous calls to ATT until reaching a bright young man. He sent me a link to setting up my router that is not in the User manual. My default router settings (MG-7540) were stopping the network connect.

Had to log into my router and set MTU size to 1492 and then set Block Fragmented Packets to Disabled. Works perfectly now – 5 bars. All router settings below – Very Techie Please be advised that the router manufacture or the ISP provider will not provide support for AT&T MicroCell, but they can assist with configuring the following router settings: -DHCP is on -Data is not restricted from passing through ports 4500 and 500 (AKA Port Blocking).

-MTU size is set to 1492 -MAC address filtering is either turned off or allowing the MAC address of the AT&T MicroCell IPSec Pass-Through is Enabled -Block Fragmented Packets is Disabled -If using multiple routers, the Microcell must be connected to the first router connected to the broadband modem -If the MicroCell is connected to a router that is connected to a modem and both the router and the modem have NAT (Network Address Translation) enabled, disable NAT either in the router or the modem.

-Ensure the modem / router is using the latest software (firmware). Please see the manufacturer’s documentation. -TCP/UDP Ports Note: All ports listed need to be configured for inbound and outbound connections.

-123/UDP: NTP timing (NTP traffic). -443/TCP: Https over TLS/SSL for provisioning and management traffic. -4500/UDP: IPSec NAT Traversal (for all signaling, data, voice traffic). -500/UDP: IPSec Phase 1 prior to NAT detection (after NAT detection, 4500/UDP is used).

-4500/UDP: After NAT detection, 4500/UDP is used.

I recently switched from Verizon to AT&T. My home gets terrible coverage with both providers despite living in a residential area 20 mins from Philadelphia. Just a bad zone. Verizon gave me 1-2 bars max.

AT&T is worse. 1 bar max and only able to max/receive calls from certain rooms. It was a mess. I tried WiFi calling, but even with the iPhone XR connected via WiFi calling and a review of settings with my Router Manufacturer I still had poor connectivity.

Enter the AT&T Microcell. WOW. I realize these are not sold anymore, but what a difference it made. I now have FULL signal in every room (including basement office) and no issues making calls. It has been a huge blessing.

The Microcell Tower does what it is supposed to, when it works. That caveat is the only reason I can’t give it a perfect score. I have had 4 of them in 2 years. They work for a little while, and then die.

After 6-8 months, my experience is that you will see the indicator lights show everything is OK, but your phones will no longer see it. And now, AT&T no longer sells directly or supports this product.

You have to get them second-hand, and pray that it is de-registered, or you will not be able to use it. Mine has to be rebooted every day, and I will get about an hour of use before it dies again.

Bought this with some hesitation, just wasn’t convinced would get the decibal boost needed. Currently living in a 2,000 sq ft metal barndominium while we construct our new home over the next year. In a rural location, we were getting around -95 dBm outside (2/3 bars on ATT).

Inside the metal barn, -120 (1 bar at best, and frequent drops). Install: Decided to try and did self install. Took about 2 hours at a leisurely pace. Longest time honestly was wire routing from outside antenna and drilling into barn at amp location.

Also shortened RG11 and re-terminated 1 end. As an aside, not really sure the extra shielding of RG11 is totally needed in most situations, but whatever. Have RG11 between outside antenna and amp – 50’ run, and RG6 between amp and indoor antenna at approx 6’.

Performance: Been fantastic. We didn’t pick up 75dB (didn’t expect to given our weaker outside signal), but we are consistently at full bars and with 5g if not on Wi-Fi. In numbers, depending where in barn, in the high -70s to high -80s.

So picked up about 50dB. All in all, did what it said it would do, and that’s give us solid reception for working from inside a metal structure, in a rural location, both of which are notoriously difficult for cell signals.

My Home Room Signal Booster boosted signal from 0-1 bars to 3+ bars in a rural mountain area with a saddleback mountain between the tower and the booster. This has not only boosted my iPhone signal, but allows me to connect a WWAN (cell modem) in my laptop at the same time; so I can run a separate higher volume data-only plan for my laptop.

Cellular throughput varies wildly – sometimes I can see 2. 5 Mbps download and upload speeds, sometimes 1. 5 Mbps download and 0. 5 Mbps upload, sometimes an utterly abysmal 0. 2 Mbps upload, rarely 0.

0 upload. So while this has significantly improved cellular phone and LTE 4G data, it hasn’t solved all of my cellular woes – which are most likely due to atmospheric conditions (affects radio signals) and possibly congestion with my carrier – US Cellular (they’re the only game NOT in town – ie.

the only rural carrier that works here. I can get a couple of bars off of the more remote Verizon tower; but even with this booster, can’t maintain a data connection for more than a few seconds). I mounted the Yagi antenna on a 10 foot PVC 1.

5″ pipe attached to the side of a 12 foot tall storage building – but the difference in signal between +10′ and +5′ is negligible. Pointing it towards Verizon didn’t help any; so I’m sticking with US Cellular and pointing at their tower.

Installed this on a farraday cage (my steel-sided & steel roof Barn/Apartment) in a very rural location. I was able to print a map of cell towers in my area (closest about 10 mi westerly in Ozark Mountains (hills)).

Installed it on a PVC riser I added to a west-facing plumbing trap on the outside wall about 25′ off the ground & pointed it directly in direction of tower. Drilled through steel exterior & long bit to reach interior & pulled coax through (sealed w/ clear caulk to keep bugs out).

Ran the coax along and behind beams to conceal it. One drawback, I had to buy a black coax cable because the white that came would have stood out terribly bad in my situation. The converter runs very hot to the touch but has not created a fire on the wood beam it is attached to.

Something not shared on-line is that the interior antenae is to be 30′ away if horizontal or 20′ lower than outside antenae otherwise. I did a triangular geometry calc to have it ~10′ lower & 25′ horiz from the exterior antenae & it works fantastic.

It even goes through wood walls/floors (but only have one wall or floor between any location in my case–not multiple). This product has worked great. I can now bring reception inside & use my iPhone as a HotSpot to run Zoom Mtgs, etc.

on my computer. I’m back in business after shielding myself with steel siding.

Monday through Friday I travel the rural mountains of northwest North Carolina, east Tennessee and southwest Virginia. My phone service is with Google Fi, which switches between US Cellular and T-Mobile.

The improvement in my coverage is phenomenal and has far exceeded my expectations. While I still encounter a few no service areas, it is very minimal. This may be one of the best investments that I have ever made.

Got this booster and love the service. I run the northwest us and service sucks in the mountain. This booster does help a lot just one problem that I have the cord on the cradle comes apart in about 4 different spots and kills it.

Have yet to find we’re to get a replacement. Haven’t even seen them here on the website.

Cant really tell that it is doing anything for me other than a bright white light that shines in the dark. Do not notice any difference when the phone is in the cradle or in my pocket. The cradle does hold my phone where I can See it.

1. The desk top antenna is too limited in range. Had to order the panel antenna. Should be an option for RV use. 2. Signal bars show no change with system off or on. Speed test does show a significant data speed improvement.

3. I have not traveled with the system, yet. The antenna is mounted on top of the motor home, so the height should be an advantage for signal gathering. Will just have to see on road performance.

I purchased this product in hopes that it would allow my wife to remote work while we were camping. She owns her own Real Estate company and needs to be connected. We live in Georgia and we like state parks, most with terrible cell service.

First trip WITHOUT WeBoost, no service, no calls, delayed text, you get the picture. Second trip, same state park one spot over from our first spot. Second trip WITH WeBoost calls, text, email (using phone as hotspot) decent (not perfect) video streaming, ZOOM video meetings, document management etc.

We live in an area of NW PA. where cell signal is nill. Text messages are sent via ‘smoke signals’ and emails delivered by ‘pony express’. When the “”weboost”” arrived I quickly mounted the external antenna to our RV which is located directly under a huge Pin Oak tree.

Following the easy “”how to”” directions I had the system up and running in less then 10 minutes. One minute later, our jetpack is up and running and I’m connecting the smart tv and streaming HBO Now.

No more dropped calls or delayed text & emails even during heavy rain. The only downfall is needing to leave our phones sitting very very near the inside antenna, whether in use or standby. Though, I understand this is beyond the control of “”weboost”” I bought the “”weboost”” because of the guarantees included.

I’m super pleased with this product. I bought it to limit service disruptions while on a road trip with my family. We’re all quite dependent on our smart phones. It frickin’ works!!! I stuck the antenna on the roof on the back of my wife’s SUV, ran the cable down the molding around the hatch, and slipped it into the storage compartment in the back.

Then, I used the Velcro to fix the inside antenna to the column behind the seat, ran the cable behind the panels, and tucked it into the storage as well. The port for the outside and inside antennas are clearly labeled, so I connected them, plugged in the power, and flipped the switch.

Then, I wrote this review with strong 5G service while cruising down the interstate.

This worked on a regular 5 hr commute thru zero bars, no phone call or text territory for us on verizon. Even tho it showed we were roaming and had 5 bars thru this area, nothing was possible til we got to a large city.

It gave us 2 bars! draw backs- the signal given off by inside antenna was carried to a very small radius. Had to place my phone about 5 inches away from the inside one-directional antenna that was placed by the radio on my dash and use speaker and squinting, lol.

There are no indications which side of the antenna is the one that needs to be facing outward either but I guess it doesn’t matter since it gave us a signal. If I drew the phone to my face about 12 inches away no signal.

Over all very happy with this.

The reviews and description were so promising: will take a weak cell signal and make it stronger. So we bought one to use in our RV. The first place we camped had a very weak (but present) signal. Hooked up this device with great expectations.

But it made absolutely no difference, despite the green light indicating it was working. Returned it to store, now a little wiser.

First. I am not an employee or paid spokesman. I have a background in communications and electronics. These products are not a cure-all for cellphones. What they are is top of the line technology and components that will extend your cellphone to celltower connection.

Some people will never travel to a rural area where cell communications towers are spread to their very limit of reception or not even there. Will these units work within their advertised transmission perimeters? Can they connect with towers further away? MAYBE! Can they keep a connection with a nearby tower? Again MAYBE.

Will they provide the BEST ABILITY for your cellphone to connect to a tower for cell service? ALWAYS. Any where you go, you will get interference. It might be electronics, structures, marginal atmospheric conditions, even an overloaded tower system.

For the most part your cellphone alone will not connect when these and other obstacles occur. This company offers you the best products to defeat these obstacles. Yes, even to be able to search and connect to a tower further away (not available from your cellphone alone) that is not overloaded! Remember these are electronic devices that have limits based on many reasons including government (Federal Communications Commission, etc) limitations.

Still. This company and it’s products, in my opinion, are the best in technology, components, assembly, and should be considered the best on the open (non military) market. Hope this helps understand some of the issues presented as comments.

Mine was fine when I first bought it, then got progressively worse until every other call was dropping. Called tech and was passed around to 4 different people and finally received the explanation that the device is only used to TRANSFER a cell signal from outside to inside the house – not amplify it.

That is why there is s stipulation that you have to be able to make a call 20ft from your home in order for it to work – the premise that it will grab the outside signal, then send it to the base unit inside the house, but it is just the same signal as you have outside – no better.

Despite the claims, it does NOT amplify the signal (this coming straight from the tech). Make very sure this will meet your expectation because they are refusing to warranty my product. They blamed it on leaves on the trees until I told them there were none near so it was just put down as an “environmental issue” beyond their control.

Funny, it worked fine for the first few months. Definitely not worth the $500 we paid for it.

I purchased the model with the omni-directional indoor and outdoor antennas. Using my cell phone to tell me its signal reception level in dbm, I found the best spot on my roof for the outdoor antenna, where it measured -96 as I recall.

It took a few tries to find a place for the indoor unit, since if it’s too close to the outside antenna it apparently reduces its gain to the point of being useless, as shown by flashing its leds yellow.

The indoor unit is currently ~35′ from the outdoor antenna, which according to the green leds on the unit, is ok. The effective range of the indoor antenna is very low, at perhaps 8 feet, which is far far less than the 2000 sq feet claimed.

Any distance beyond 8′ and the signal is no different than with the unit turned off. In fact, the only time my phone receives at -96 dbm or better, is when it’s within one foot of the indoor antenna, which is not very impressive.

I realize the omni-directional indoor antenna has less range than the flat antenna, but I also assume using the flat antenna would then create the situation where the two antennas are too close, causing the amplifier to throttle down.

Perhaps the directional outdoor antenna would have been best, but that would tie me to one tower, and there are two in the area, over 90 degrees apart. In short, it does work, just not anywhere near as well as claimed in my case.

Additionally, considering the distance the two antennas need to be separated, the 50′ of RG6 coax cable included with the kit is woefully short for a proper installation.

Installation was relatively easy, but I have a great amount of experience. I immediately noticed an improvement and once I got the antenna dialed in the results were very good. After having it for a few months I have noticed some quirks.

Sometimes the signal completely disappears for a bit. Not sure about that. I have also had more of an issue with dropped calls. Not sure if this is a cellular issue or if I need to adjust the gain of certain channels.

I will need to contact the tech guys about that. But … my cellular data capabilities were horrible prior to installation. I still have times where it is bad, but I can generally access the internet much better now.

Installation straight forward but not simple unless you are imaginative and mechanically inclined. Fist unit went out within a couple of weeks but customer support was extremely helpful and kind an got a second unit to me within just a few days.

Second unit has performed flawlessly now for three weeks. Have indoor flat panel in ceiling of second story radiating down and covers all of 2000 square foot floor plan well with two to four bars. Thanks again to customer support!.

It works. I get 2-4 bars of 4G from Verizon consistently. I used to get anything from no connection to 1 bar of 4G. Using the connection for internet access is relatively slow, but much more consistent than before.

I wish I had known that I needed a mount for the antenna when I ordered the booster. And getting it mounted at that highest point on the house was a job for a bucket truck and not me on a ladder. But it works!.

Journeying out to remote areas has the inherent disadvantage of loss of connection (even when that can be a simultaneous advantage of getting out in the wild). Trying to connect with traveling companions and downloading trail or destination information or weather updates, however, remains important.

This weBoost has the potential to improve this part of adventuring–even in areas of limited cell service. Advantages I found include, most importantly, that once powered on, it immediately boosted my cell service and connectivity by 1 bar which definitely improved calls and data (more than I would have expected at just a 1 bar increase).

The areas I tested it in have pretty varied terrain, so I am curious to try it out in flatter, more wide open terrain as well to see if this makes any difference in the boost. It was very easy to install! The enclosed directions and online tutorial (link in printed directions) made set up simple to follow.

The directions state that you can connect the inside antenna to the dashboard or on the side of the seat. I installed it in my Honda Pilot and had plenty of wire from the rear antenna to the booster.

In order to avoid a feedback loop (per troubleshooting guide), I had to keep the inside antenna up front near the dashboard (avoiding airbag areas) and could not keep it on the seat. Fortunately, there is plenty of wire for this distance as well, so it was not difficult to make that adjustment.

From an environmental standpoint, my only recommendation to the company would be to reduce the amount of single use plastics in the packaging (i. e. , eliminate plastic bags on cords when twist ties already in place would be sufficient).

Overall, this exceptionally easy to use device should be a great tool and travel companion on expeditions where connectivity is an issue!.

Watched reviews online, was hesitant and looking at this “booster” for a couple years. Finally decided the business had $500 plus laying around I could just throw away, besides it was the end of the year and I’d rather burn it than give it to the government.

Installed the booster. Mounted inside the cab of our work truck. Antenna is on the roof. Was pleased at first when driving some daily backroads where the signal is sketchy. Music played all the way through? Could’ve been the alignment of the planets or something else, has not repeated this phenomenon.

On the job out where we are working we have a bar or possibly two on the phone. No actual increase in the number of bars, which I understood was normal. Using the phone daily in this area I don’t see anything that makes me think, “hmm, I couldn’t do this before”.

My big issue is it just doesn’t connect consistently. Meaning, I have two bars on my phone, I power up and it goes straight to red, no shifting from green to red and then green. Power on, flash of green then to red.

Where it will stay. 30 minute drive back to the hotel last night, red the entire way. My phone had two bars and played music the entire way. If you have $500 plus you just want to give away, this is an option.

For us it’s one of those life lessons, kind of like touching the stove when you were five, except that burn didn’t cost you over $500. We buy a lot of equipment and the abuse some of our tools take I have been impressed with quality and durability.

Then there are the other products, this is one of those where I should’ve just paid it to the government to frivolously waste.

I have been using the weBoost Drive Reach Cell Signal Booster for a few weeks now. I have mostly been using it around town where I would experience data hangs or dropped calls. I no longer have that problem once I got the weBoost installed correctly.

I have used it a couple times in more rural areas and also gotten a signal boost, making my phone more reliable where it wasn’t before. The weBoost wasn’t too hard to install – took maybe 20 minutes to properly route the cables and get the antenna located properly.

The only ding I can give the weBoost is that I have the main pack installed in the trunk of the car, where I can’t see the status lights. My car only has a single 12V power plug in the front (they have replaced them all with USB ports instead I guess), so I had to run the cord all the way from the front to the back.

An extra 2-3′ would have really helped. When I first installed it I had trouble with the antenna location because the sunroofs are quite large. I really like the fact that the weBoost has velcro strips placed on all the interior parts, which allows it to grip nicely to any carpeted areas in the car.

The weBoost takes a little while to move from car to car, so it isn’t really super portable. But once it is put in, it is super easy to forget it is there.

Our cabin is on Namakan Lake in northern Minnesota – inside the Voyageur’s National Park. 20+ miles from the nearest road. The nearest cell tower is 12. 6 miles away as the crow files, behind the forest and some hills.

We started our odyssey to get cell phone reception with a Zboost ZB545 with a CANT-0042 yagi mounted about 30 feet in the air, a few years ago. That got us from “nothing” to “something” but that something was not great.

Signal strength was usually between -97 and -102 dbM, internet service was intermittent, and slow when it was – usually topping out at 1Mb/sec at best. And all of this was made more difficult by the fact that the booster periodically went into oscillation – flashing red light – and needed to be re-set (a process we made more difficult at one point by moving the booster out to a shed to be closer to the antenna.

) So. I gathered a bunch of data and spent some time talking to tech support at various places – including here at Wilson. Although there was discussion of “better antenna”, there was also a strong trend on “replace the booster”, with the WeBooost Connect 4G being the main recommendation.

This trip I came prepared to do battle with the cell phone system. Brought new booster, new wire, new connnectors, and a new antenna. Step one was to install the Connect 4G in place of the Zboost. Step one turned out to be all I needed.

Our reception is now AWESOME. I’m writing this from the cabin, with connectivity that feels “not a whole lot different” from home. Now we’re getting signal strengths from -87 to -93dBM and 4G LTE internet, usually testing at 12Mb/sec.

Upload is, as I said, terrible – often 0. 2Mb/sec, but if you click “send” and then go do something else you’re ok. Current setup, in case anyone needs to know. WeBoost Connect 4G booster CANT-0042 (314475) Yagi antenna on a 30 foot mast (made of electrical conduit.

) 40 feet RG 11 from antenna to booster, 60 feet RG 6 to indoor antenna 304419.

We bought a cabin in a remote area and was only able to get cell service if we stood in a certain area next to the road. We couldnt get any service inside the cabin. We have AT&T and have for over 10 years and really havent had service issues until we got the cabin.

Our neighbors a mile down the road told us the only was to get cell service was to switch to a different cell carrier (apparently that carrier is the only one that seemed to work in this area) I didnt want to have to switch since we have been happy with AT&T so I looked into my options.

I came across the weboost site and found the Wilson cell booster. I was a little hesitant at first since the price was kind of high but after reading through the information provided on the site and since they offer a full refund if it doesnt work I thought it was worth the hassle to try before having to switch carriers.

Before purchasing I walked around my property and inside my cabin checking the dbm signal strength like suggested on the site. I went ahead and purchased the booster. I am happy to say that it worked! In fact, I am writing this review while sitting in my cabin! Now we dont get service through out the whole cabin ( its only about 600 square feet) but I knew that might be the case because of the information I read on the site before I even bought it.

But I can sit in the front part of the cabin and talk on the phone or use the internet. If I leave my phone by the booster and turn on mobile hot spot then I can use my Ipad any where in the cabin. Bottom line, it works as long as you have something to boost to begin with.

Before buying, read through the information on the site. As long as you know what to expect and realize it wont give you perfect service if you have no service then you should be happy with the results.

I was happy to spend the one time payment to buy the booster than to have to completely switch carriers. Hopefully the booster is durable and will last for many years.

I installed the system this weekend, well. temporarily at our family farmhouse about 30 miles outside of the nearest metro area. The house is located in a valley and cell service is one temporary bar at best on a good day.

I assembled the main system and on a whim tossed the receiver antenna on a bush, and stretched the indoor antenna across the large front porch. I didn’t expect much when I plugged the power unit in – I hadn’t even searched around with the outdoor yagi antenna.

5 bars! -71dB to -79dB. The Iphones were showing 5G. I watched Youtube, sent pictures, made calls. It’s better than I have at my own home outside of St. Louis! This is a game changer for the farm. Before, we were totally isolated out there.

We noticed that other carriers had less signal than AT&T. I must have been pointing at an AT&T tower. I’m sure that performance would have been just as good at a different tower for its respective carrier.

By far the hardest part is keeping the 30 feet separation distance between the 2 antennas while keeping the signal good and placing the indoor antenna in a usable place. It’s directional and only works when you are in front of it.

I bought an omni antenna, too but I couldn’t use it due to the different non-50 ohm connector on it. I would appreciate the offering of a pole to wall mount without the pole – it comes with the antenna to pole mount.

Now I need to find a way to expand the reception to the garden /yard, the rest of the house, etc. I’m very impressed. My brother wants one too after seeing result like this. It’s really amazing. Thank you so much for designing a product that can help us.

I’ll only buy a Wilson.

We live on a rural area in the Northwest, prior to using the Drive Reach, we had large areas with limited to no coverage. The Drive Reach has taken us from 0-1 bars to 4-5 bars. It has truly helped us stay connected with loved ones as we travel through the North Dakota Badlands, National Parks out west, and sparsely populated farms of Nebraska.

I use the product in my rescue truck in Search & Rescue. It helps make the difference in fringe coverage areas. Thanks!

If you live in an area where you don’t get good signal, you need this one. Hard wired and permanent nmo antenna.

My wife and I dropped our landline and opted for cell phone service only. However the cellular signal inside our house is almost nonexistent and WiFi Calling has not been consistent. I reached out to Waveform to find a way to increase the signal and they guided me through the process to find the location of the best signal outside our home.

Based on those results, they recommended a couple of signal boosters, one of which I purchased from them. Shipment was quick and, although I haven’t quite finished the install, I was able to test it and I we are now getting all 4 bars on our iPhones inside the house! I can totally recommend Waveform to anyone wanting to “get a boost”!.

We live in a rural area with no service in the house. Luckily, we get 3 bars of Verizon 4G LTE from the roof (measuring -103 dbm on the LTE Discovery app. ) The house is long and narrow (75’x30′) with an open loft with the indoor antenna mounted dead center on the ceiling.

Post HiBoost installation, we are now getting 4 bars throughout the house except at the far ends where it’s only 3 bars. The unexpected bonus is the boosted signal that is spilling out to the covered porch, patio, front yard, and detached garage at 2 to 3 bars.

The HiBoost 10k is absolutely brilliant. Set up was relatively straightforward, with the outdoor antenna easily aimed using the SignalSupervisor smartphone app (connected to the HiBoost via wifi. ) SignalSupervisor gives you the luxury of watching the signal strength at the same time while making slight adjustments to the outdoor antenna.

Once aimed, the HiBoost is pulling signal from the cell tower at a healthy 93 dbm. One thing to keep in mind is that you must separate the indoor and outdoor antennas by quite a distance for good results.

In my case, I’ve got 40 feet and a couple of walls separating the two antennas (even though they are at practically the same elevation. ) If you can’t achieve enough horizontal distance between the antennas, then you must get separation by going higher with your outdoor antenna or lower with your indoor antenna.

Also note that your mileage may vary when it comes to picking up the boosted signal outside of your house. In my installation, it worked out ideally since the outdoor antenna is pointing away from the back corner of the house in the opposite direction from the aforementioned porch, patio, yard, and garage.

Overall, I couldn’t be more pleased not only with the HiBoost 10K, but also with the prompt and knowledgeable Techs at the RepeaterStore. This booster is a big win and it’s worth every penny.

Bought this to boost LTE cell signal for a Verizon service in the Travelers Rest SC area. Terrible service coverage with “no service” to fluctuating 1 bar signal. With a 20 foot antenna, I am able to get a better signal 2 bars.

Not great but better than no service. I can’t use it for streaming anything. Ok for websites, and texting. I wa expecting better gain. Setup was not as easy. Wish the display onboard was more friendly to help setup.

Had to try different position randomly to find descent signal. It should have given a display and tell me which way to orient the antenna but it does not. It is not easy to install. The quality of both antenna are cheap plastic boxes and will probably no last.

Also instructions not very clear for installation. had to figure it myself with an engineering background.

Buyer beware. Wilson recommended we buy weBoost 4G-X Marine Essential Kit, which they advertise for “yachts” and the “ocean”. Wilson advertises the unit as “professional grade” that provides “up to 60% more reach from the cell tower.

” Their advertising claims the product is almost “magic. ” Bologna. Believing Wilson’s advertising and relying on their recommendation, we bought the marine kit product for “safety” and “security” at sea when coastal cruising.

Wilson advertises that up to four people aboard the boat can use the system simultaneously. Turns out, that’s bologna too. After a New England boat cruise of almost 600 miles in the past few weeks, the product didn’t perform as advertised.

When contacted, Wilson had tons of excuses. Marine kit product cost, before installation, was around $700. Costs were higher after installation, which includes first a “soft” installation and then the actual installation by snaking wires from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor of the boat, and drilling several holes in the interior and exterior of the boat to mount the external antennae per Wilson’s instructions.

We learned – after complaining about the system not working – that the system is NOT specifically designed for YACHTS and offshore safety as they advertise. Rather, Wilson told us after the fact that the system was designed for a CAR.

Yes, a car. Someone apparently got the bright idea to mate the Wilson CAR unit with a marine antennae and then market two as a “marine kit” for yachts on the ocean. When we complained to Wilson that the system didn’t work on our boat, things got even more interesting.

We were then told – for the first time – you must stand within 1′ – 4′ of the so-called internal antennae to receive any benefit. We were previously told the system works if you stand in a room 10′ x 10′.

Turns out if didn’t matter if we held our Iphones or Ipad next to the internal antennae, the result was still unsatisfactory. Does Wilson seriously believe four people on a yacht are ALL simultaneously going to stand within 1 foot of an internal antennae to use the system at the same time? Tell potential buyers that fact BEFORE they make a decision on what product to buy and my bet is they wouldn’t buy this product.

I know I wouldn’t. Wilson essentially blamed me for the product not working and washed their hands by saying there was nothing they could do because I was unable technologically to supply them internal and external antennae dB readings.

Sorry, Wilson, I am consumer who relies on you for technical data so please don’t use me as your excuse for Wilson’s non-performance. Wilson 2nd guessed the installation, repeatedly asked the same questions for basic info on what system I bought, wanted me to send pictures, wanted me download Iphone Apps to perform diagnostic tests on dBs, gave a telephone number that didn’t display the Iphone diagnostic data Wilson claimed it would, they gave inconsistent answers on technical data, gave wrong answers on Iphone strength of signal dots not being available with Verizon, and the list goes on.

I wasted tons of my time – while on vacation no less – dealing with Wilson’s run around. Wilson’s idea to solve the “problem” was for me to simply remove the system from my boat and return it for a credit.

Well, isn’t that nice. Let me just tear apart my boat – again – to re-snake the wires, remove the installation, ship the product back and then repair the damage to my boat (several drilled holes). Wilson wanted all of that done at my expense for installation, removal and repair.

Wilson snookers me with what I believe to be false advertising, doesn’t provide the cell coverage security we thought we were purchasing, damages my boat, and causes aggravation but now Wilson wants a free pass? In my view its unfair and deceptive advertising, a poor marine product, poor post-sale support, and poor customer relations.

I would have expected much better quality, service and technical support of Wilson. Buyer beware with this marine product. This might be my first on-line narrative product review, which shows how much I felt it necessary to warn other potential buyers of this particular product.

This thing is amazing. I live in a Sportsmobile 4×4 converted van and work remotely. Without the weBoost 4G-X I was finding myself tied down to urban areas during the “work week” and really being frustrated that my off grid capabilities were being impacted by Verizon’s network coverage.

I was up in Banff National Park and had 1 bar of LTE from my campsite, it was super unreliable and I ended up spending most of my time parked in my van in town. I had to fly home to CA for a quick wedding and while in CA I purchased the 4G-X.

I flew back with the device set it up on the van in about 10-minutes (super simple). To my amazement, I went from 1 bar LTE up to 4 bar LTE! I was able to spend a full week in a back country campsite and had a super productive work week because of this device.

I cannot recommend it enough to anyone that needs to stay connected and can’t afford satellite internet data plans. I have even engineered a way to make this thing portable! Also, the device is super rugged.

The antenna is small and super durable. We are always driving 4×4 trails in all sorts of weather and the antenna can take some serious abuse. It still looks and functions as if it was brand new. Awesome product, I highly recommend.

took a great deal of efffort to carefully install. Used app to determinine direction that antenna was to point. Our house is 3 story brick. The direction allowed us to install the antenna using an aluminum extrusion to which we mounted the antenna.

We extended the antenna thru the end gable vent of the house. Ran Coax through the attic and down to a closet on the second floor total distance drawing a straight line from antenna to booster was 31 foot.

Dropped Coax from the closet where booster was mounted and ran to Inside antenna mounted on the wall in the main house corridor. Had to purchase longer piece of coax and total ran of coax was 52′. Straight line distance from antenna thru second floor to attic to outdoor antenna 30 foot vertical.

I even tried to use one of the pieces of coax provided as an extension and move indoor antenna to various parts of first floor. only see one bubble and on rare occasions two. Spent almost 45 minutes trying to adjust the direction of the antenna to improve signal.

adjsuted in increments of approx 3 degrees each time. going both directions from the 45 degree angle the phone app arrow indicated. Still drop calls. Extremely disappointed.

Certainly looks well designed, robustly made without question. The kit is well thought out and complete (could have used one more adapter to allow all possible combinations of cable/device/cable connections, but no big deal).

I haven’t been able to get the exterior antenna up on the roof yet, so can’t judge actual performance yet. Normally I get two, maybe 3 bars on the cell phone; I often have to go outside to connect for an outgoing call but once it connects I can go back inside without it dropping.

Local towers are within 3 – 6 miles and basically unobstructed (from the roof which I can’t get to), but I hear they’re maxxed out in terms of traffic so (I’m told) their range automatically contracts.

So far, the temporary configuration I’ve been able to rig up – below the roofline, no clear line of sight to a cell tower – should show at least a noticeable improvement, but there is literally no difference, not even a single new bar, no matter which direction I point either antenna, or if I just unplug the whole thing.

This is mildly disappointing, but like I say, the arrangement is far from optimal. I still have high hopes that when I’m able to get it dialed in,.

5A, power supply is switching, I have ferrite chokes all over this set-up. I suspect that my sister and brother-in-law are disappointed that they are not seeing a 5-Bar signal from this system around the house.

Well, if this is indeed working like a satellite transponder, it’s not going to, here. I’d have to have the beam totally line-of-site, looking at the cell tower. That can’t happen, here. So yeah, a bit of expense to shell-out $655.

00 for, what looks like mediocre and medium signal, but in the long term ahead, I’m believing that this will pay for itself. Me??? I think that it’s stupid to have a phone carrier that, at best, 1/2-ass works.

Now, it does. Plus??? This booster works on other carriers, should we decide to dump AT&T wireless’s butt in the future. Anyway. I’m more than content upon how this system works. It turns uselessness to being something practical.

I bought a RV 65 because it’s supposed to be the strongest, legal booster available. Followed instructions fully. Pole fully extended on exterior antenna. Thirty feet of separation to booster. Another thirty feet more to inside antenna.

My phone shows five bar’s, yet no better signal. In fact, I unplugged system and phone dropped to one bar but than at least I could send email. Plugged back in. Nothing. I’ve turned outside antenna towards nearest cell and every other direction a little bit at a time, turning booster off and on so it resets.

I’ve tried different heights Changing cable’s, checked all connections multiple times. Booster shows all green lights like it’s working, but it’s not. I’ve Called support, that’s no help. Note. This is the first negative review I have ever written, I can fix or modify almost everything to work, but a person can’t fix what doesn’t work in the first place.

Using the RV 65 for stationary camping in order to work from the road. Our current location is in Parker, AZ right off of the Colorado River amidst mountains and resorts, where my AT&T service was 1 bar.

We installed the open-signal app on our phone to make sure we were aiming the antenna directly at the nearest correct tower. I have excellent service, full bars and am able to work using my mobile hot spot and lap-top.

the speed is phenomenal. I am also able to receive calls and texts on that same cell phone, as well as using an internet phone with a headset with no dropped signal. I tested working without the weBoost and my laptop dropped the signal with my phone within moments, making work next to impossible.

I highly recommend this if you need to remain connected on the road. The 25 foot telescoping antenna is light for as big as it is. and we mounted it to the back of our RV, next to the stairs, with the bottom resting on the bumper.

we raise it fully before setting it on the mounts, and we are able to turn it while mounted, but having it next to the ladder helps immensely as well. Love it!.

We are full time campers and are currently staying in an area with very low cell service – 1 bar. We measured our actual signal strength and quality using the information on the Repeater Store web site and decided we needed a directional antenna for stationary use.

Purchased the WeBoost Connect RV 65 and although I got an email saying the unit was on back order they managed to find one and get it drop shipped within a few days. Excellent customer service. We received the unit and set it up within about 30 minutes.

It could not have been easier. Even the smaller boxes within the main box are numbered to correspond with the installation sequence. We temporarily set up the antenna by using cable ties and tying it to the rear ladder, ran the coax to the slide, used the flat cable piece to go through the slide seal, and connected to the booster.

We installed the indoor flat panel antenna near where we use cell phones the most and attached to the wall using the provided 3M Command strips. Turned the system on and after rotating the antenna a few times using the cell phone app to measure signal strength we managed to get 3-4 bars on both Verizon and AT&T.

Excellent results. Eventually I will port the antenna coax through an installed cable port near the antenna mount to make set up easier and to not need to run through the gasket of the slide. I also recommend you buy a lightning surge suppressor and grounding wire for the antenna.

This really should be included in the kit or maybe put together as a package by The Repeater Store. With the ease of setup, I think this unit can be used even if staying in a place for only one or two nights.

Saw this by chance 1 day, as it was presented by “Kurt The Cyber Guy”, on Fox News. I’d purchased the smaller “WeBoost”, believing it would work. But, I’m a 60+ yr old woman, with young/ willing nephews who’d help set the outside pole.

Yet, they’re overwhelmed with other, more important familial demands, than paying “techno-installer” for their elderly aunt. So, I “donated” that 1 to my sister & bro-in-love, for the great room & kitchen of their ranch’s “Barn-dominium”.

They’ve never installed theirs. They just keep their phones by the kitchen window & text only. Then, when/if it’s nice outside or urgent, they run to a porch to make any calls. 8-( I’ve served both God & Country at home & abroad for 49 yrs now, in TX Law Enforcement & as a foreign missionary.

So, I have neither the time, NOR am willing to risk my respected, “word of honor” to write Recommendations. However, I felt we could trust “Kurt”, so I bought this EZ about 1 yr ago, and wouldn’t trade it for a spotted pup! (Old TX tale 😉 I was relieved to get a Rep.

on the phone from Houston & received it within DAYS! I built a 1,553 sq. ft. “retirement cottage” with a “Mueller” metal roof, on the old homestead, where I was blessedly brought up. It’s on a county line, in a rural/suburban community, on a VERY BUSY TX Hwy, that NOW serves as major commute/route between 2 ever-growing cities.

It also is about 1 mile from our Regional Airport, & across the road from the approach to the south runway. So, I believe I could NOT possibly have MORE “signal challenges” working against me! My teen nephew helped me determine which window has the strongest signal & together we ran the VERY flexible & abundant cord SureCall provides, through 2 rooms – with the “receiver” tucked away in an extra storage/guest bedroom.

EVER SINCE, I’ve NEVER had to run to a window or porch in the elements to take a call on my iPhone! I can send & receive ANYTIME, in ANY room – except of course, when the FAA cuts off the tower.

I purchased this unit because we are having trouble getting signal in our metal building. Great when we go outside, just not inside. When we installed the unit and powered it up it we couldn’t get the 3 green lights always a green or a yellow (orange).

So I left it plugged in and came back later and it was very hot to the touch and still had alternating green and yellow lights. After a call to tech support who were very supportive and polite I found out that we were receiving too much strength from 2 different towers.

The fix is to tuck the antenna away on a side of the building that will be facing the tower of your choice. I never found in all my research that this my be a problem. So I may just go with a directional antenna.

I still have not put to yet.

I purchased this with the idea that it would help with reception on my main floor. I normally get 1 bar inside. I now get 3 bars in the 1 room where the indoor antenna is. As soon as you walk out of that room you immediately drop to 1 bar again.

Unimpressed!.

Our steel building was a no cell signal kind of place until we installed this unit. Now I can call out and recieve calls in the shop with no problems. Highly recommend putting this in other buildings.

I purchased my WeBoost Connect RV 65 as an open box unit. The system arrived in the original boxes and well packed. I tested it here at the house. Our cell coverage inside the house is very bad. I purchased this system for our motorhome camping trips, so I just temporarily set it up at the house.

I put the outdoor directional antenna and the telescoping pole in the attic of our addition. I ran the cables through the WeBoost amp and down into the our office using all 60′ of the included coax (1-30′ & 2-15′).

The cell signals went from 1 bar of 1X service in our office to 3 bars of 4G. I find that you do need to be fairly close to the included inside antenna, but that’s really not a problem for me. I have good internet service through our ISP, so I usually use a Verizon (Samsung) network extender at our house.

That Samsung unit does cover a much larger area within the house than the WeBoost does. The Samsung doesn’t require me to be as close to the unit as this WeBoost (inside antenna) does. As a 2nd test I took the WeBoost system over to a camping friend’s house.

They also have less than perfect cell service inside their house. We setup the outside directional antenna and 25′ telescoping pole outside his house just off his back deck. After peaking the signal direction out to the nearest Verizon cell tower, he also saw a big improvement in cell signal strength and transfer speeds inside his house when he’s fairly close to the inside WeBoost antenna.

Overall we are very happy with this system and look forward to using it on our upcoming camping trips.

I’ve had this for over 2 years, and it’s the only way I can get a good signal, and have internet at my home. In August, just before the warranty was up, I contacted them about not getting a good signal.

They replaced the antenna, the indoor transmitter with a updated model, and the cable to the antenna was replaced with a larger cable, at no charge to me! With Weboost, my signal goes from 1 to 2 lines 1x to 3 TO 4 lines LTE, 4G! I also found out part of the problem was with Verizon.

I’ve also switched to another cell provider. When Weboost isn’t plugged in, I only get 1x, and with Weboost, full 4G service. It works very well.
