20 Best Synthetic Wigs On Amazon (2023 Updated)

This is my second Charlie. I didn’t wear the first one but gave it to my niece. After seeing how nice she looked in it, I repurchased one for myself. So glad I did. It’s such a popular unit that I think I will order two.

just in case they choose to discontinue. It is very becoming and was wearable straight from the box. Delivery was quick and the packaging was simply but sufficient enough to protect the unit.

Great wig! I get so many compliments when I wear this wig and I have purchased it in two different colors. I even purchased on for my mom because she loved it so much! I will be purchasing it again…

My first short unit! I absolutely love Ms. Charlie! This is a sassy little cut that started a chain reaction for me. I have typically worn extremely long units, until it got super hot this summer and I just couldn’t take that much hair on my head.

I came across many recommendations for Charlie online and so glad I tried it for myself! It’s cute, its comfy, low maintenance, and easy throw and go style. I have since purchased other colors and plan to add to the collection.

I hope this style is forever in stock.

Although I know Outre’s Melted Hairline series is a good brand, I was hesitant to purchase this wig because synthetic wavy hair usually doesn’t last longt. I was going to purchase this wig in a different color but when I saw a YouTube video featuring this wig in color DRFF2/CINNAMON MOCHA, I decided to try it.

I didn’t plan to wear it out, it was going to be a wig I mostly wear around the house when working from home. Well, to my surprise this wig was so soft and beautiful, I have been wearing it for about 2 weeks and I wear it around the house and when I leave the house and even to work on days I work in person.

I try not to sleep in my wigs but I’ve have unintentionally fallen asleep in this wig. Although I have been wearing this unit almost daily, so far, the waves (crimping) are still here. It rarely tangles.

The lower back of most wigs, regardless if Remy, human or synthetic usually tangles/mats under the bottom (the part that touches the neck/back) but when this unit tangles it isn’t bad and it’s just so easy to comb through the back.

I use a wide tooth comb on that area with no issues. I have brushed the hair also just to test to see if the crimping would stay. I would suggest a wide tooth comb vs brushing or finger comb. So far, the wig is still looking good.

I plan to wash the unit this weekend and hopefully it will look the same but if the crimping doesn’t stay, it won’t be a loss because I can curl or flat iron the unit because the hair is still really soft.

What really impresses me about this series is that the hair is so soft, it looks natural, the cap fits well and there is very minimal to almost zero shedding. Hopefully the comments will allow me to add an addendum after I wash this wig.

I really feel it will look just as nice as it does now.

I was very excited about purchasing the Amanda Melted Hairline Unit in DR Almond Spice. I am listing the pros/cons I observed with this wig. Pros: The wig is absolutely beautiful. The color is gorgeous.

Density is excellent. Shedding: none. Cons: The cap construction is bad. The scalp on the unit I received does not look anything like the pictures for this wig and was not plucked. Baby hairs weren’t really visible either.

The side part wigs in the Outre Melted Hairline Collection usually have a cap construction that curves around where the fabric meets the lace leaving it flat and smooth. On this unit, the material to the right side of the part where the fabric meets the lace is squarer vs a smooth curve which makes it feel a bit bulky and presses on that part of my scalp.

This wig doesn’t have that natural look and it looks like I’m wearing a wig. Although I can pluck the part, I really don’t know how to pluck the lace parts so that they will look realistic. I took pictures in this wig without letting the part show.

People like the wig and the color. I gave this a 3-star due to the cap construct/lace part. I would still recommend this wig because it is very pretty. Just know that you will have to pluck the part.

Or, it is possible that I received a defective.

If I wasn’t experienced in wearing wigs, this would have been a really frustrating and disappointing purchase. As soon as I took the hair out of the box, the ends seemed really tough and frizzy, to the point where the comb gets stuck.

Because the quality is so poor, I ensure extremely gentle combing but somehow one of the tracks has already broken within the first 1-2 weeks. The **** are that once you tint the lace/add makeup and cut your baby hairs, the hairline blends really week and looks realistic.

If you’re more of an expert at tailoring your own wigs then this isn’t too bad, but you won’t be able to wear it for too long because of the quality. If it was cheaper like the original price in the US then I don’t think I would have minded as much.

The picture doesn’t do this justice. Beautiful on everyone! Very versatile to style in many ways. Layers are perfect and not too short on the crown but gives fullness where needed. You cannot see the wefting at all.

The sides can be worn shagged to the front, back or fuller. Great long bang to side sweep. The length is perfect for warm weather and the back being completely layered looks flattering and realistic.

Being a cosmetologist I have cut so many haircuts in this style since it looks young and flatters all face shapes. It is uplifting to the facial cheek bones since it isn’t straight and looks great on all ages.

Would be fabulous in more blonde highlighted colors more blonde in front or chunky highlights in front and darker in the nape. Definitely need a LARGE CAP in this style. This cap runs smaller than normal for the average cap.

I wear both average and large in RW wigs and this one runs very small and does not stretch like my other wigs have. More wigs are needed like this layed wig with longer bangs. Love the style! Please request in a LARGE.

I love this OUTRE Senna Wig because it looks natural on Me. The color is close to My hair color, and the length is right on time with My standards. I will keep buying this Senna Wig pop until you no longer make this product this is how much I love this item.

I ordered this wig in a “Bright Blonde” and it was definitely bright! The cut was really cut, but it took some time to adjust to the color. My husband didn’t like it at first but, it “grew” on him after I told him that I liked it.

I am 71 and rationalized that the color wasn’t any lighter than having white hair. It fits my head fine as I don’t have a large head. I can’t wait for an opportunity to wear it.

That order was first order that I placed with your company. One side, looking at it from the front, right side, is longer and lack curls compared to the other side. One side had curls that was too tight and the other side was too long.

I didn’t return it because I would have to pay return postage. I was disappointed.

This is my first time ordering I live in Canada Ontario, the wig took 9 days to come ( a little over a week). It was long, loose curls and baby hair straight out the package. Fit perfectly fine on my head I fixed the straps to my liking.

Unit was 13×6 parting space, lace was light. Volume of the wig wasn’t the best compared to other sensationnel wigs, felt like a synthetic wig. The colour was burgundy wine however on my dark complexion it looked more red not burgundy.

If you’re not used to colour you won’t like that.

I can only give this unit 3 stars based on my own personal experience. I wanted to LOVE this unit, I paid enough for her lol. Pros – she is gorgeous and the color I had (flamboyage chocolate) made me pop; I also love the hairline; I got plenty of compliments while wearing her; and she is of a light enough density that I can get away with wearing her in the summertime; the curls on the top have held up, and I have had the wig since last September Cons – omg where do I start? The first time I put her on she tangled like crazy, and after that first wearing I was not able to completely remove all the tangles, so the second and third time I put her on it was a mess.

She is NOT big head friendly so I had to make major adjustments to get her to stay on my head. I’m hoping I may have just gotten one from a bad batch.

this hair is great it comes very soft and silky. not for everyday wear as it is synethetic so it will get tangled and matted. i find washing it with shampoo and conditioner helps with tangles then you comb it out and i personally like to trim the ends of it to prolong the wear.

the lace is kind off a beige color so some make up may need to be added and one of my wigs came with a bump on the top of the wig so i had to brush the hair then tie it down for a lil while to get rid of it.

The color is very pretty and flattering.

Honestly this wig comes out the box pretty much ready to go but I decided to pluck the part a little more and get rid of the baby hairs for a cleaner look. You CAN’T tell me this isn’t a human hair wig! People are shocked when I tell them it’s synthetic.

Wanted to try some color so I got the Money Piece Caramel. This is the perfect wig to ease into color! The texture isn’t yaki, it’s very silky but personally I like the relaxer look so it’s fine for me.

I got SO many compliments! I 100% will be purchasing a back up of this color and a more natural color as well. Definitely worth it!.

The color blending is beautiful along with the waves and curls. This wig can be styled either curly or wavy. The cap is medium and will fit a petite size tooi. The hair is silky and doesn’t tangle much at all.

This is a great wig. This would be recommended for anyone who wants a pre styled easy care wig.

I loved Muse when I first received it. I loved the honey pecan color, and I think Raquel Welch synthetic fiber colors are so much better than what’s available in their heat friendly wigs. (The heat friendly line lacks nice light brown colors with cool highlights.

There are too many red, dark roots, and bold chunky highlights. ) But Muse does not look like the picture. It appears much shorter and matronly. It’s a nice enough wig, but I’m not crazy about it. The wig cap was too roomy and poofed up on my heat.

I then discovered that my head measurements are petite average and that Muse was probably too large for me. Since it’s a hand-tied cap, there is no way to make it smaller. I kept it and wear it to do errands.

The fiber is stiff and does not move as well as my recently purchased Ellen Wille wig with synthetic fiber.

I’m always fan of wings but what better than to use them once in Ohio when you just want to have a different look on your hair I just love it

The hairline is perfection ! I’m actually shocked at how much better it is the some human hair wigs I’ve had. Super easy to lay down the lace and melt into skin. The parting is perfection super deep for updos as you can see in my photos.

The only downside is the hair is realllyyyy fluffy BUT the curls are super soft. I thin my wigs out so it did make a difference and looked better. I wore this wig for a full 8 hour shift as a CNA and it did NOT come off lol I have a more in depth review on my YouTube channel Misschrissyjaye.

This review is for the stop traffic wig by Raquel Welch. I’m fairly adept at making wings look less wiggy and there’s just no hope for this one. There’s entirely too much hair around the crown. I’m going to thin it but the amount of time I’m going to have to spend salvaging this wig is substantial.

The cut is almost a mullet ****. It’s not remotely like what is pictured, is incredibly dated looking and requires too much manipulation to be a “throw & go”. If you’re looking for an easy throw and go I’d suggest breezy wavez , it’s like half the price & is much cuter.

I think I’m done with RW wigs after this disappointment, it’s not the 1st one from this brand. Just too dated and “wiggy” across-the-board and not worth the price.

I got the Salsa Wig by Raquel Welch | Large Cap – R14/88H Golden Wheat, and I like the color and the feel of the hair. I agree 100% with the reviewer Sandra: the wig runs a bit large, I had to adjust the tabs and still doesn’t feel secure.

I can style it in a way that fits me, and I like the color, and even though not used to this style yet, I am OK with it. On a negative side, the wig is very fluffy and even though it seems to have a lot of hair, I can see the labels and my fingers through it.

So, even it has longer, fluffier hair, the two tags an my fingers can be seen through. This is my first Raquel Welch, so I will try the average size next time, and in a different style, still looking for just the right style that fits me.

Now, how do I post a picture?.

This product was terrible. The hair came out when brushing and even just shaking it out or touching it. Threw it away. Way too expensive for a costume wig. I could have purchased a real wig for that price , and will next time.

I know you get what you pay for, but this wig is horrible! The style and color barely match the picture. And it doesn’t even stay on your head.

I used this wig as part of a Halloween costume. I was Courney Love. I sprayed the roots darker and it was a spot on look. It is a bit shorter in person but was a great deal for the price!

This unit was darker than shown on the model but I have no issues with that because I feel like the color and the blend I received is MILES BETTER than the models. The gradient is so natural!! The wig does have a shine to it, but if you use dry shampoo or baby powder, or even just wear it more the shine will go away.

I don’t think that the shine looks too unnatural though. The lace is also nice and it comes with baby hairs if you’re into that style. I did have to pluck it quite a bit to give a more natural hairline and it looks great.

There isn’t much lace area though so you have to be careful. One big minus is the clips. their placement is awful. Since there’s no clips on the sideburns area, you truly cant wear this wig without gluing it down, at least on the sides.

(when I’m extra lazy I lay down two bobby pins on each side and pray to the heavens LOL). If you’re more talented than me you can probably sew on some clips and be fine. I also feel like the band isn’t strong enough to really lay it down, but if you have an extra elastic band hanging around you could sew that on too.

Also you have to make sure that from the parting to about 2-3 inches from it your real hair is completely flat or else the wig will be bumpy. For ppl who don’t know how to do cornrows simply blowing your hair out and slicking it down will do the trick.

Like all synthetic wigs the hair will tangle, but this wig hasn’t tangled too badly after a month of wearing it. Just make sure at least once a month you detangle the hair, set the curls with some rollers (or you can wand curl it later), boil the hair in a mix of water and silicon mix for about 30 minutes, wash off the excess with cold – lukewarm water, and the wig will be brand spanking new.

It was shedding but it’s always going to come with synthetic wigs however the wig is easy to work with and very soft. I absolutely love them and wouldn’t mind purchasing again. Btw they some people thought it was human hair so if you are contemplating about buying just do it.

This wig is so beautiful even though it’s not human hair. I get glowing compliments everywhere I go. mostly from men. There are numerous colors from classic to over the top. All I do is run my fingers through it and go.

I highly recommend buying this wig in the color of your choice. The price is right also.

I first purchased this Cali-Wig in St. Louis, Mo back in November 2015. I had never worn traditional wigs I have always worn custom made wigs and sew-ins. But now, I am hooked on this wig selection because so many people compliments me (men/women) even well after a month of wearing it.

I searched the web to find a way to re-purchase this wig without traveling back to St. Louis and/or bothering friends/family to purchase the wig for me. I was ecstatic when I came across this website and saw that I was able to purchase this wig again and know that the outcome would be positive.

I also was pleased with the fast shipment and pricing of this wig. St. Louis charged me almost $15 more than the price on this site. I have read some negatives reviews from other customers relating to this company and I can say, that my experience was positive in all manner.

I will be purchasing again for as long as this service continues with this company. Overall, Vanessa wigs are amazingly realistic and not Wiggish looking.

I purchased the 4/613 color for a fun change up and it was pretty until I started cutting. It wasn’t very long, but I am new to wigs and am figuring out that I don’t like long hair wigs soo much. It was nice and silky/shiny.

A bit too shiny. But the curls/wavy pattern were very cute. The cap didn’t seem very big to me, but because of the long bangs, it was ok. I tried to cut her into an A line bob and it was a fail. I cut too much.

But it is still wearable. I have only worn it around the neighborhood though. I also didn’t like that the #4 roots wasn’t all over the wig. It was only in the front which made the transition from #4 to #613 look really fake in the back.

I also added a little heat to the bangs, just a little bump, because I wanted a little texture there. I will try the baby powder recommendation for the shine before I wear it out. Hopefully that will work.

I think Paulina would have looked better to me in a natural hair color (1,1b, 2, or 4). I recommend this piece if you like a smooth, shiny wig. I will look for a shorter version and get it in a 2 in the future.

Obvi, not the best as its an affordable closed cap wig, but its really good. I love the copper color and the cut is really great. I feel equal parts rihanna and shirley maclaine, and despite how it sounds THATS A GOOD THING!.

Outre wigs are typically amazing, and Divine is just that. divine! She is a great daily style of one to wear on a date. Excellent quality. She looks and feels realistic and the melted hairline looks amazing!.

The hair is really good for the price. Feels soft. I havnt had it long so can’t say on the shedding. It’s synthetic so there will be some tangling but it’s not bad at all. It looks great on.

I love this wig. It’s so light weight and soft. Very easy to manage. It wasn’t the colored that I wanted, bc that colored was sold out. So I chose the one that I have. The Champagne color. I haven’t ever wore this color before, but I like it.
