20 Best Synthetic Wig Detangler Spray (2023 Updated)

I really do love this brand of conditioning spray. I have tried many different kinds/brands and this is one of the best by far! It really works super, very pleased. I’ve been using it for quite a while and have tried many other brands that I wasn’t anywhere near as happy with and I usually keep a bottle with me at all times for on-the-spot detangling.

This brand comes in several different varieties all of which smell very good, so happy with it!.

This is the best detangler I have ever used!This brand comes in different scents, and once sprayed on the hair, it does not leave a sticky or oily residue. It makes my hair soft and helps to decrease frizz, making it easier to detangle, I would definitely recommend for crochet hair or wigs, it is also at a good price available online.

I wear a lot of extension and workout almost everyday so I needed something between washes. It was mildly effective but affordable. If you are using it between a day or 2 between washes it okay. It’s about the same compared to alternative so I was neither dissatisfied nor satisfied.

Do not, do not, do NOT make the same mistake I made!! (I actually made a BUNCH when it comes to wigs!) If you are a newbie to the wonderful world of wigs, make SURE you have this with the purchase of your first wig.

‘They’ don’t tell you this!!! I literally stumbled upon it, read the reviews and decided to try. By then I was on my 3rd or 4th wig. And the 1st 2 were looking seriously not good. ‘Throw away’ not good.

(All of my wigs are synthetic. I now have 8, 4 that are lace front, 5 that are heat resistant. Just an fyi on what type of wigs I use this on!) This JR HD smooth detangler, brought the first 2 wigs back to life and the 2 newer ones that are now 9 mos.

and 7 mos. old STILL look brand new!! I am beyond thrilled with this detangler!.

This detangler has been very helpful with some of my wigs. I really haven’t invested enough attention into why they all seem to get that way (tangled and frizzed) some a lot sooner than others. After trying several different brands and types, I can say that this is definitely a worthwhile purchase and help.

I haven’t used it totally enough to know the long term help or the help with the crazy number of wigs I have, but for now – great to have! Nice scent, as well.

I noticed my wigs were starting to look a little dry and slightly frizzy, so I read in hair 101 about the importance of using a good wig conditioner. I contacted customer service and they were helpful with picking out a good conditioner.

I am so glad I bought it! I was a little apprehensive when I initially sprayed the conditioner on my wig, because the wig looked wet and droopy. However, with minutes, the conditioner dried and my wig looked like I just took it out of the box.

Ive seen reviews from experts who use this product at the end of each day they wear a wig. It protects and hydrates the fibers to increase longevity. Its a well respected brand and I use it often.

Jon Renau products are all I use on my wigs. I have tried cheaper brands, but when it comes to keeping your wig looking nice, for longer periods of time, I highly recommend their wig shampoo, and spray conditioner.

This product is a great answer to prevent frizz and tangling of your extensions and natural hair. I tried oils and 100 other things to stop the snarls in my extensions, this is the only product that has worked.

Not only does it keep your extensions soft and conditioned, but it also does the same thing for your natural hair. It also protects your hair against flat irons, blow dryers & curling irons. I noticed less breakage, hair feels moisturized and soft almost like when the extension hair was new.

I’ve been using this for a few months now and it’s not a bad product. It really does help neutralize smells from Sweat and dirt build-up, helps detangle, and has a very unnoticeable fragrance. I’ve used this on about 4 wigs now, so I’d recommend it.

Yesss!!! Everyone who has wigs, hair extensions etc needs this! It will save your hair! It prevents it from drying out making it brittle and frizzy! Definitely a win in my book!

I thought this was going to be a leave in conditioner spray like pretty much every other one on the market. I was wrong. To start off, this isn’t a liquid. It’s literally like what comes out of your conditioner bottle, which is to say that for some thing that’s marketed and sold as a spray, it’s really thick.

Which leads me to my next point: it won’t spray out of the provided nozzle. It kind of half mists, but if you’re trying to apply it to you hair in a hurry/quickly, you better find something else because I spent five minutes trying to spray it on to just a quarter of my hair.

I bought this product because the normal brand I use wasn’t available at the store I was at at the time. However, upon this one attempted us, I’ll be pitching this in the trash and making an extra trip to get the leave in conditioner spray that I normally use.

Highly disappointed – I’d heard good things about Tresemme, but I won’t be trying any of their other products after this.

This product is great for freshly permed hair that wont settle down with the frizzies. It softens your hair without having a very heavy oily feel to it. Its lightweight and you just spray it on your hair all over before you use your Hot curling iron.

It protects against frizzies and really I cant emphasize this more softens your hair. I am a Caucasian woman with long hair that is permed.

Great for providing lasting moisture for human hair, as well as synthetic. Can be used on natural hair. Only use when hair is wet, on dry hair it makes hair swell and frizzy. Amazing on the worst hair tangles.

Nothing else compares. Hair could like it was in a blender and then this stuff saves you every time. Wonderful product. I buy monthly.

I purchased this product for my synthetic wig. I sweat a lot under the wig when I wear it all day. After taking it off, the inside of the cap is very wet. I am spraying the inside of the wigs cap to get rid of tye sweat in between washes.

I hang it up on my vented wig stand to fully dry and in the morning, no icky sweaty inside wig smell. The spray has a very nice smell but over powering at all, just a nice clean smell. Will order more as I get low.

A hair refresher that actually works. No loud fruity scent. Lasts all day. I find that if you spray your hair all over and inside the cap before putting it on and after at the end of the day your hair will be odor free.

I love this product.

This product works ok, but the smell is way too strong and lingers in the room for a long time after using just a few spritzes. I have to open the windows to clear the smell, which is concerning.

Doesn’t leave residue, feels very soft and in a way creamy, smells amazing and leaves my daughters natural curls shiny and beautiful. Very kid friendly and my daughters loves the results because it really works especially with her tangles.

Highly recommend for kids with sensitive scalps and whose hair tangled easily.

I was actually wanting to purchase another product but the store was out so I purchased this instead. I like it. I don’t love it. I like that it works on both my girls’ hair. One has fine/thin,dry curly/unruly hair and the other has very thick,heavy wavy/curly hair.

It works great on damp hair but both my girls need a refresher in the mornings before school and if I try and use this product on dry hair it works but leaves it feeling not so great. I do enjoy the smell I just wish it was a product I could use on wet and dry hair.

This detangler is super effective, even for the curliest and thickest of hair. I’ve also used it on a finer type of hair, and it doesn’t leave a residue or make the hair greasy. I suggest spraying one section at a time and letting it sit for a few seconds, and then start the comb out.

It cuts our post wash time down significantly, and the tears are fewer, as well! Highly recommend.

Words alone cannot even begin to describe how fabulous this product is. I noticed a huge difference the very first time I used it. I rave so much to anyone that will listen about how terrific all of your tools and products are.

I don’t do reviews. At least I haven’t until now. I have to make an exception for this product. I have thin, fine long hair. Tangles has just been a frustrating part of my life since childhood (shades of Mom struggling with my ponytail).

So I bought Extende’ on a lark (And I had my share of doubts that it was going to work – haha, right?!) And to my utter surprise – IT DOES! Not only does it work on damp hair, it keeps working the next day and the next.

I definitely will be buying the cream version of the Leave in! It isnt bad but I am just not noticing it helping my hair. I had covid back in the end of September. I have ALWAYS had long beautiful hair.

I take pride in my hair. Well, it recently started falling out in clumps. I am devastated to say the least and completely freaked out. I am hoping it is nothing serious. So far, L’ange has changed my dull, damaged, breaking apart fragile hair, into soft, silky, manageable hair in just 1 wash & by using the products/leave ins I purchased as well.

Maybe I’ll love this eventually but I think cream versions may work better for my situation.

I bought this on a whim just to see what it would do–and I was blown away. My favorite Jon Renau wig was starting to look a little worn after wearing it for 16 hours per day every day for 3 months. I sprayed this on used the J wide tooth comb on it felt dismayed because it looked a little greasy and set it out to air dry overnight with the feeling that I was going to have to toss my wig in the morning.

I was wrong! My wig was silky and lustrous again. I won’t say it’s out of the box new looking but this detangler gave it a healthy sheen and made the fibers smoother. This detangler is an excellent value for the price and I don’t intend to ever be without it.

That wig I was so worried about is probably going to give me another 2 months of continuous everyday wear. I wouldn’t spray this on right before wearing my wig. I think using it with washing or spraying it and letting it dry overnight is the best bet.

If you’re on the fence like I was this 2 oz bottle is a great way to see if the product is a winner for your wig. I love it.

I like it. Interestingly, the title “anti-static” is not a phrase used on the product; however, we have very cold winters where I live. Static is a constant battle. This product does a good job of managing it in my wigs — a Milan by Noriko and a Sugar Rush by Belle Tress.

I also use Heather’s trick of washing my “helper hair” in a fabric softener, and rinsing under non-running water. Jon Renau’s Detangler helps with both the tangles and the static.

I’ve only been using this for a few days but so far it’s really helped detangle my wigs, even some of the longer wigs with fine fibres. It’s also lovely smelling, mild and not too strong and it leaves the wigs looking nice.

I haven’t noticed any residue yet, but I’ve not been using for long so i can’t really judge that yet.

The smell is heavenly and this really makes brushing out tangles a much more pleasant process!! My kiddo has long, fine, thick semi curly hair. After big days in the wind sometimes we end up with pretty serious knots.

This helps brush them out without discomfort. If used after the shower on wet hair it’s even easier. I also used some for my mom hair to smooth back fly always and work through some tangles after falling asleep without putting my hair up and it worked like a dream.

Great product and definitely worth the price tag.

I have used a ton of different products to fight tangles in my frizzy, wavy, constantly tangly hair, as well as both my daughters’ hair. This stuff works. It smells nice, it feels soft when dry, and it keeps frizz at bay, without any greasy residue.

I do find that I have to use quite a lot of product, which is unfortunate for the size/price. But my 7yo now enjoys brushing her hair because she loves this stuff so much. It’s worth it.

I bought a horse that had obviously seen better days. Her mane and tail were a mess, witches knots in her mane and the entire core of her tail was a solid matt. After researching what products could help untangle the mess I decided to try Mane ‘n Tail Horse Detangler.

I am so happy that I did! Storm (my horse) was an absolute angel as I worked on her tail. It was full of sticks and cockleburs but after spraying with the detangler, I was able to get her tail back to it’s full glory.

The spray isn’t oily or greasy as you might expect but seemed much like water. However, water wouldn’t do what this spray did. It helped lubricate the hairs so that they were easier to brush out. It did take a while to untangle her tail, (start at the bottom and work up) but patience and Mane ‘n Tail conquered the mess.

Her mane and tail were left fluffy and full and shiny! Even though her tail isn’t matted anymore, I still use the detangler every time I brush her mane and tail. I highly recommend this product.

We own a Newfoundland that loves the water. Last week of June we had a hot spell where temps were in the 90s consistently for days. Nights were humid. Trying to make sure all our dogs had plenty of water, we neglected to do a brush out at night under our Newfies chin and around his ears.

Consequently mats formed over the hot days with areas not drying completely which made the mats worse. Mane n tail was recommended, it does work with smaller mats, I spent several moments every day working on the larger mats, following the directions, with very little success.

We learned a valuable lesson with our Newfs fur and what we need to do better. Ended up cutting the larger mats to a smaller size, then applying Mane n Tail working on the smaller size mats. Our Newf was very patient but would only hold still for 1015 minutes provided I moved to different areas on his chin, chest and ears.

Chewys delivery was great, smell of the product was fine. Its not a miracle mat untangler, also depends on the kind of fur being untangled. Works much better on our Great Pyrenees fur than our Newfie fur.

Product smells wonderful! I’ve used it before purchasing. Ebin shipping was not good. Thrown loosely into a padded envelope and they arrived 5 out of 9 bottles open and spilled our.

First time Purchase and so far it seems to be doing what it says it can do. Will require a new bottle soon.

I’ve used quite a few different detanglers but this one is amazing especially how after applying it with in seconds you can brush through your wig. I love it and highly recommend this.

Oh wow. Where do I start? This was a random pick up in branch when looking at breast pumps. I had stopped using hair products with silicon and free from parabens etc in my hair but hadn’t found a deranged product before I dry.

Such a happy surprise to see this, so thought I’d give it a go. Oh my god has it made such a difference. I had avoided going to hairdressers whilst pregnant during covid, so my hair was a mess. It’s looking dry and frizzy, as well as being super knotty after bath/ shower.

My hair is also extremely long and very thick. I bought this only to use on my hair (an adult!) and not on my children’s, but would happily use on them seeing the ingredients. A few sprays on my hair does the trick, that I think this spray will last a long time.

Really great at detangling with my hairbrush, so easy to use. Seen comments on here about nozzle, I’ve yet to experience this however the head of my spray is different to the website image. My hair is a million times better, it looks so healthy and frizz has been tamed.

I’ve had comments from a few people about how good my hair is looking. I also spotted on here that it’s also life/nit repellant, which is timely as just got rid of nits in my 3 yr olds hair. So now these are a risk in our household that this is my super hair product must have! Been telling EVERYONE about this as I can’t recommend it enough!.

I’ve used this bottle four times and on the fifth go the pump broke. I haven’t even had a chance to use it enough times to give a thorough review of the actual product or a chance to use it on my toddlers curls.

A couple things I can say. It didn’t weigh down my curls. I’m not super confident it’s providing any real moisture to them though. Maybe my pump breaking was just a one off but having a finger pump on such a large bottle is a terrible design in my opinion.

It will not be a repurchase now that I have to go purchase a spray bottle in to try to use it up with a grudge and it’s definitely not a ‘miracle’ product.

I bought this detangled for a synthetic topper. It works wonders, allowing me to comb right through, making the hair smoother and more moist. I apply it prior to wearing, the night before. I am super sensitive to scents, but I find this to be quite mild.

I did not like the texture of this after I sprayed it on my wig. It left the fibers feeling like they were just sprayed with hair spray, sticky and crunchy!! I only sprayed the tiniest bit and still had to wash my wig that night to wash out the detangler as the wig felt icky all day!!.

Great product Made a tremendous difference in keeping the hair frizz free and looking like real hair. Doesn’t coat the hair like the conditioner does, much better!!!!
