20 Best Switch Oled Screen Protector (2023 Updated)

I’m happy with it, in the few days I’ve used it I’d say everything is performing just fine. Like a lot of people I’d prefer to just use the screen – but it never takes long for scratches to emerge, and it’s just common sense to get a screen saver.

My old DS still has an immaculate screen all these years later and I hope my switch will too.

Firstly the instructions were poor. Secondly it was near impossible to remove the air bubbles.

Most cell phones have a glass screen that resists scratches. The Switch has a plastic screen that is easier to scratch. The Switch dock has hard plastic edges on the inside if the “U” that can scratch the screen when you dock it.

So a screen protector is very helpful in protecting the screen from scratches, particularly a glass one. One of the first things I did after getting my Switch as apply one of these protectors and it’s gone well.

The instruction pamphlet includes a link to a video that demonstrates the steps listed. The instructions are somewhat generic, written for application to a phone, but are clear and simple to understand for the Switch.

The protector has plastic handles built into the topmost protective layer that makes it easy to line up the protector and apply it without touching the screen in the process. I’m used to throwing out the first protector or two as a “practice run” after screwing up the installation or getting too many bubbles, but I got this one on the first try.

I read a review on another site that suggested waiting 24 hours before putting the switch in the dock to avoid bubbles; I’m not sure if this is required, but I could see it being a time to allow the adhesive to set.

I let it sit flat for a day and haven’t had any issues with bubbles or peeling after several dockings and un-dockings. The protector itself is well sized and designed. It covers the whole screen and the cut-outs for the microphone and ambient light sensor are the right size and position.

There’s no cloudiness or discoloration from the glass The packing is quite good. They are shipped in a tough cardboard or fiberboard box and individually wrapped in foam. You can re-close the box again with a piece of tape to keep the installation accessories together.

They provide two sets cleaning wipes so you have enough for the second protector when you need to install the second down the line – all screen protectors will wear out or peel off eventually, but the abuse that causes that to happen is what the protector is keeping away from your device’s screen.

I ordered this particular screen protector for my Nintendo Switch after hearing stories of easy scratches from the dock and other miscellaneous uses. I have heard other protectors from PDP and Hori don’t get the job done well enough and this was the best selling one on Amazon.

After reading stories and reviews on this one I gave it a shot. The directions it provides are simple but I recommend finding a YouTube video on a real step by step guide to applying it. The wet and dry wipe provides in the kit really take away any dust and finger prints left on it.

They don’t tell you but I recommend applying two dust removal tapes on the bottom when aligning the Switch so it’s easy to apply the screen protector once you remove the seal as you apply it. The card they provide to rub away the bubbles helps a little bit not by much as it bends too easy.

Get a credit card from your wallet and rub it away and don’t worry about damaging the screen since you’ll remove the second layer on of it from where pull on both tabs. Also use your finger to rub away bubbles more quickly as they do tend to be a pain to remove if you’re too slow to do it.

I’m not a big person on screen protectors since they do more damage than good I feel but I really do trust this brand and believe it’ll keep my Switch scratch free from me and the dock. I recommend this to everyone who wants a long lasting Nintendo Switch in their hands as well as for kids since you never know how they’ll treat their electronics.

There’s not much more that I can say other than the fact that this is a good screen protector. It came with two screen protectors, a cleaning cloth (wet and dry cloths), and instructions for how to affix this to the Nintendo Switch.

Somehow I still managed to put this on upside down but it still works. I’ve been using my Nintendo Switch every day in hand-held and dock modes and there are no scratches or smudges on my screen.

The protector is made for a Nintendo switch. A video game. The games fill the screen. The protector does not. Not even close. It creates a visual gap that’s very annoying. Returned immediately

I used all 3 of these on my switch lite. Each time, I thought I had it lined up perfectly but there are still gaps. The tabs help and of the three protectors, only one had air bubbles. I couldn’t pull one up and reapply because the corner chipped as soon as I pulled it up.

I got the final one on only to see that there is a chip in the middle of the glass. Not overly noticeable but I’m a perfectionist so I know it’s there. Be incredibly careful.

Unlike other screen protectors, this one does just that – covers the touch screen only and not the entire console face. Nintendo Switch screen protectors often cut the tempered glass to fit around the notches at the bottom of the console face as well as the screen – which usually doesn’t fit in my opinion.

The screens all have rounded corners making them less likely to chip or break the skin, comes in a pack of three and insurance – would buy again if I could!.

The instructions were very clear and it was easy to apply, so no complaints there. I did notice that the instructions said to buff away any left over residue for a nice shine. I let the product cure for one hour without touching the screen and I found the reside to be very smudgy.

However, I used my regular spray cleaner and the smudges did come right off and the screen did shine very nicely. I should have read the warranty registry instructions first, because I put my phone back into its case before taking the necessary video, but it was no big deal to take it out again.

I reached out to customer service for a quick question and they answered me within HOURS! Which was very shocking, did not expect them to be that fast. So far, I don’t have a single complaint, and I plan to purchase this again when the warranty runs out.

Works great. The alignment tray is a huge boon. Note, to install any screen protector properly use the hot shower method and youll never get any dust under the protector. Basically you just turn the hot water on in your shower and leave the bathroom door closed.

Turn off the shower and set the system in there to come to temp. Then follow the instructions. The only knock I will give this is the included sticky for removing the particles after cleaning isn’t the best one I have used but it works.

Just make sure your system is no longer fogging on the screen before touching it with the sticky. In any event, this was a great purchase. Worked like a charm. Lined up perfectly and makes me feel okay with touching my screen.

Does the job, instructions are clear enough to follow without getting confused; how I advise 16 year olds and up to do this, less you make a mistake while applying. I strongly recommend you check the protector BEFORE you apply the product to your switch, keep your receipt, and apply this product within ten days of buying it; this way if there is a chip/broken part you can return it without having any problems.

It maybe pricey; but it also includes a device guide to make sure its dead center, and a clean alcoholic pad (clear instructions) on how to get no bubbles and no gunk underneath the protector. Its definitely “you get what you paid for” for this product.

Definitely feels durable, but I’m not willing to test it out just yet. Smudges wipe off easily. Touch response feels the same. Handy install tool to help guide for a very even install. Bonus points for what appears to be a sort of glare-reduction in the glass.

It’s not a huge difference, but it is noticeable compared to not having it at all. Zagg warranty replace is also fantastic. I messed up the install on my first try and cracked the glass. Brought it back, handed over the cracked glass, walked out with the new replacement.

BTW, Best Buy will only do that for the first 14 days. Afterwards it’s all online and by mail. But I’ve done that too on older devices.

The onn. Nintendo Switch Oled Protector is built to withstand the trials and tribulations of everyday life. It will never be a “game over” situation with this protector. The box contains a glass screen protector, an application tray, a cleaning wipe, a dust removal sticker, a lint-free cleaning cloth, and an installation guide.

It is transparent and resistant to nicks. I am clumsy and prone to dropping my device, but this protector has done a magnificent job in keeping my Nintendo Switch like-new. It was extremely easy to place and is super lightweight and thin.

This is an amazing investment to provide me reassurance that my device will last for years and countless rounds of gaming. Game onn!.

I think this product would be great, if the product was the right size. The kit came with everything you would need to properly, and flawlessly apply this protector to your Switch screen. The problem is this protector is not the right size.

This protector has blunt edges, not rounded ones, and it’s a tiny bit too long on the right side. When you apply the protector with all of the tools given, this protector is useless because has a lot of air bubbles due to the fact that it actually goes off the screen on the right side.

This would get a 5 star rating from me if the protector actually fit my Switch Screen.

The Nintendo Switch Oled Screen Protector by ONN was packaged really well. The materials and the glass protector look well made. Looks like will last. The installation guide was a little confusing at first but after taking a few minutes to understand the packaging it was a breeze to install the glass screen protector to the Nintendo Switch.

I feel that this ONN screen protector will protect my Switch from scratches and hopefully will protect from cracked screens from falls. I would recommend this Nintendo Switch OLED by ONN.

This was a huge step up from the official screen protector, which picked up a scratch from the dock immediately, and was a pain to remove finger prints from. It is rated at a very high hardness level, which time ought show if reflects durability.

Putting it on was a good experience – I did it without any particles of dust, but a tiny tiny <1mm dot of air and the top left corner, over the bevel and not noticeable or interfering with the screen.

Mine did not come with instructions. My tips for application: Do it in a bathroom where you’ve had it steamy and the steam has just settled. This helps remove dust from the air. Line the protector over the screen and apply the included stickers to the bottom edge, overlapping onto the switch, so it is lined up and can clap down like a ‘hinge.

‘ After cleaning the switch with the alcohol/dry wipes, use the included tape to remove any visible smudges/dust. Then remove the back cover and allow the protector to fall down from the bottom up, smoothing out as you go upward to press it down.

Leave to cure for a few hours at least before playing.

Unfortunately, there were no instructions included on how to apply. And the different tissue wipers for prepping the screen didn’t come with any labels to separate them from each other. Luckily I found an instruction video for a similar product on YouTube which made it easy.

Good Product! Decent Protection! GREAT PRICE!! But the only downside is this screen protector’s “Glue/Sticky” adhesive areas are not the best and i guess will vary by each person and depending on luck! My item after applying it did not stay firm on 4 parts of the screen for the switch.

These areas are slowly lifting up and you can clearly see/feel the non sticky parts where there is now air pockets! It is mainly around the edges and corners so it is not reflected upon the actual viewing screen! But I do see it getting worse as time goes on! Again GOOD Product I just got unlucky with this 1.

Took my time look over the packaging and searched for any sort of directions, but the only thing it really has is a little sticker informing you which side of the protector is the back. Figured it would be relatively simple to put on, so I carefully cleaned off the screen of my switch first with a cleaning wipe for electronics and made sure it was dry before going over it with the provided red cloth.

Used the “hinge method” like a few other reviewers suggested, by holding onto the provided tabs and slowly letting it attach once I had it lined up correctly. Several bubbles. One large near the center of the screen, two more off to one side, and another on the other side.

Tried to slowly rub them towards the edges but they wouldn’t budge. Peeled off and tried again, better but still a large bubble. Looked closely and realized it was a piece of red lint from the provided cloth.

Kept trying until there were too many bubbles and a few stray hairs and had to give up. I’m sure the product works fine when it’s able to be properly applied, but I couldn’t get it to work out for me.

I’ll have to wait until I can have Geek Squad apply it for me before I try another one.

PDP’s screen protector for the Nintendo Switch is fairly decent for the price you pay. This comes with a red cleaning cloth and cardboard to remove dust and air bubbles, respectively. Unfortunately, the package does not provide instructions on how to apply the protector (search for the company’s YouTube video for the product).

I read previous reviews for this product, and I decided to use a lens wipe instead of the red cloth to clean the Switch’s screen prior to applying the protector. I also used the “hinge” method by using blue tape.

The protector was applied flawlessly.

Very sturdy, good tactile feel (doesn’t reduce the touch elements by much, but glass always reduces by a small margin given hardness. or it wouldn’t do its). Easy to install, came with extra cleaning pads that weren’t needed.

Was easy to peel off when I had some bubbles in the center, and luckily did not attract dust). Was easy to align given firmness. I had that thing on PERFECTLY the first time, just that tiny bubble in the center that could not be moved toward the edge.

My only issue is there is one screen in the box. So the price to similar products of equal quality where I get two is my only hangup.

So, not happy with the quality of this product. I took the protector right out of the box and applied it to my brand new Nintendo Switch and noticed several scratches on the protector itself. I tried to wipe them off, but they are deep scratches and permanent.

Now my new screen looks very worn. I tried registered my protector on Zagg’s website and tried to get a replacement, but they charge you a minimum of $7. 99 to ship a new protector. Seriously?! Very bad customer service.

So I guess I’m stuck with a very scratched and worn screen protector.

TL;DR: Personal value will vary to person to person depending on the price. If you like spending money in the most efficient way, I would wait for a sale, or find it cheaper elsewhere and get it price matched.

I think ZAGG is the product for you if care for the texture, preventing screen scratches, and the possibility of screen shattering. If you simply care about ONLY screen scratches, and want to save money: get a plastic screen protector.

Details: I have a free screen protector that came with a protection bundle. The free screen protector seems to be more plastic than glass. I’m going to make comparisons between the two products. The free screen protector came from the FYOUNG bundle (decent protection case for the body and Joycons.

a little flimsy around the Joycons tbh but that’s a different a review). 1) Material Difference In terms of quality, the ZAGG shield is definitely thicker, which gives it a more “quality” feel to it when compared to the free plastic screen protector.

Nonetheless, I do believe both screen protectors, glass or plastic, would serve its main purpose that I purchased it for: avoiding scratches on the screen. I’m not too concerned about shattering the screen on my Switch, as I have a hard time imagining an instance where I would drop it on a hard floor.

but then again no one really expects accidents to happen. So it’s assuring that ZAGG writes in their product description that they expect screen shattering to be prevented. I can’t confidently determine the plastic screen protector would provide just as much assurance of screen cracking compared to the ZAGG glass screen protector.

I’ve had a ZAGG Screen protector installed once for my phone about 5 years ago, and I do attest that I dropped it from 6 Feet in the air and my phone’s screen was fine but at the cost of the ZAGG Screen protector breaking.

Go back even further, and another phone had a plastic screen protector, which protected scratches but did not prevent my screen from cracking when I dropped it. I hope the same ingenuity went into ZAGG’s Nintendo Switch Screen Protector.

2) Texture The texture on the ZAGG glass screen protector also feels a little bit different to my finger: it’s a lot smoother. This may be due to the material actually being glass and not plastic. That isn’t to say plastic can’t be smooth.

I’ve had plastic screen protectors and they do become smoother over time because of the oil that secretes from your fingers. The same phenomenon happens with glass screen protector too. But the difference is: when you wipe and clean the screen of the glass protector it’ll still be smooth to touch, while the plastic screen protector won’t be smooth again until enough oil covers the screen.

3) Installing Ooof. This one was a toughie. I had to reapply the ZAGG screen protector several times – I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS UNLESS YOU’RE A PRO AT INSTALLING SCREEN PROTECTORS(weird flex I know).

I kept getting lint underneath the screen protector, even though I used the alcohol wipe, microfiber cloth, and the lint tape. This drove me nuts because I have OCD. I would say it approximately took me an hour to install it completely and perfectly aligned with the screen.

Nonetheless, I’ve had similar issues with other screen protectors in the past. Installing screen protectors just suck, and there’s definitely room to improve in this industry. It’s been over a month since I’ve had this screen protector.

It’s holding up pretty well, and I do feel more confident in the product knowing I have a lifetime warranty. I would recommend it to friends if they have the money to spare or if it’s on sale. I hope this review serves others well who are in need of looking for a screen protector for their Nintendo Switch or was just interested in reading up on ZAGG screen protectors.

Don’t worry about what the unappreciative are saying. I honestly needed to get an officially licensed screen protector and I looked at the purchase as that I bought a screen protector that came with a case.

The value is amazing regardless because you’re getting 2 screen protectors (one for 2nd gen and one for OLED Switch and the case). The case is nice that it has felt lining all inside and it has a built in stand to store games.

But I can understand how it might feel like it doesn’t provide maximum protection. I use it just as a case to throw into my bag instead of just throwing in my Switch in a bag without the extra protection the carrying case gives.

If you’re looking for a case that maximizes protection this isn’t it. This case is just covering the essential basics and that’s what most people are probably looking for anyways. The screen protector on the other hand was easy to put on and will prevent scratches to the main screen which is exactly what I was looking for!.

The case is really just big enough for the Switch itself, even having just a couple game cartridges makes it a very tight fit. The small form factor does make it quite portable, though. The screen protectors are very disappointing- they are foggy, scratch easily and are extremely difficult to wipe fingerprints from, to the point that I don’t want to use the touchscreen functionality of the Switch.

Plus there is no alignment tool, although the squared corners of the Switch OLED make installation easier than a phone with rounded corners. There are definitely better options both for cases and screen protectors, especially if you’re ordering online, but this works if you need something immediately that is in-stock at a store.

Definitely better than leaving your brand new Switch OLED naked!.

Decent case for the switchOLED. The case is a more in the thin compact side. It’s a Nintendo genuine product so the switch fits in it nicely. If you are dropping your switch often or need to carry accessories in the case then this case may not work for you.

The screen protector is a little difficult to line up and apply. Mine has some bubbles at the bottom edge and no matter what I do I can’t get them out. Does not come with a template to apply. You have to apply it by trying to line it up carefully.

I would recommend this case to someone who wants a compact case that’s not bulky.

DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!! It’s outrageous that a premium priced screen protector has a logo printed on the glass!

I’ve bought from amfilm before on Amazon and they’re protectors are great. I didn’t redo my prime membership and was glad I could purchase their products on Walmart instead with the same fast free shipping.

This is the only brand I use. Be sure to watch the video on how to install it. It has multiple steps to it, but they’re necessary to get a perfect fit and no bubbles. They have the screen protector design down to a science.

It’s perfect. Make sure the screen is clean before installing, follow the steps, and you won’t be able to tell there’s a screen protector on it after you’re done.

Brilliant screen protector, easy to use and the way it guides you through applying it is great. I got mine on so well it doesn’t look like a screen protector is on!!! Others I’ve tried have left bubbles or not lined up with the screen right.

There’s absolutely no reason not to have a screen protector. Easy to apply and keeps your device in good shape for much longer!

Exactly what I needed. I bought a Nintendo brand screen protector that was flimsy plastic material and did not apply easily. This on the other hand was much better designed and easy to apply without any bubbling or frustration.

Also came with some better tools to clean ur screen before applying than what Nintendo provided. 10/10 no reason not to buy this if you need a good screen cover and it fits the oled model switch perfectly.

I recently got a new switch and really wanted a glass screen protector as that’s what I had for my other switch. The screen protector I used before was the Walmart brand BlackWeb and I liked it so much I planned on buying it again.

I couldn’t find them in stock anywhere so I decided to give these a try as they seemed to have pretty good reviews. I am so glad I did! It was really easy to put on (I did not use the guide stickers) and looks super nice.

Nothing trapped underneath and I was able to get the air-bubble trapped underneath that was smack dab in the center out using a credit card. Feels very nice and my switch still fits nicely in the dock.

I also really liked that it came as a set of 2! I would definitely recommend these to others!.

The thing collects dust as soon as you start peeling it. I’ve had a much harder time putting it on than other screen protectors. Even when I got things right, the screen didn’t look good. A good screen protector shouldn’t be noticeable but this one is even at a distance.

It just makes everything a little bit fuzzy.

The glass is shaped for an exact fit on the Switch and the adhesive seems stronger than many other glass screen protectors (for phones) that I’ve used before. It applied easily without any bubbles or lifted edges and is crystal clear.

I have no way to verify its hardness but my intention is for it to protect my Switch from dock that so many have claimed scratched their screens so I’m sure it’s at least hard enough for that use case.

Granted I started with a brand new out of the box Switch so mine was already very clean but I still used the included cleaning kit which seems adequate for detailing it but you may need to use your own cloth first if it’s heavy with fingerprints.

It’s nice that it comes with two protectors in case this one detaches or is damaged. I can’t think of any negatives about this product.
