This was my first purchase – I love the chicken print and so I had to have it. Pros: fabric appears to be well made, construction seems good. Yes they’re more expensive but so is everything these days.
The fit is good – I got a large based on the size chart (I’m typically 32″ waist) and they fit perfectly in the waist and through the quads / hamstrings / glutes. Also, the waistband doesn’t roll down which I like.
Liner is not oppressive and obnoxious and doesn’t constrict like some swim shorts do. Cons: the pockets are awkwardly placed too far on the sides so there isn’t a natural hand movement into them – it’s like you have to pull your shoulders back to get your hands in.
And if you have bigger hands (like I do) the pocket openings are way too small. I have to really use force to get my hand in. My biggest complaint though is for 4 way stretch material, they went cheap on the stitching and didn’t do stitching that also has stretch – so what was the point? If you have muscular legs like I do, you sit down and now all of a sudden the stitching is cutting into your legs because it’s not stretching with the rest of the material.
Fix that, and they’d be perfect, IMHO. Aside from those two things, they’re great shorts. I just won’t be buying any more till the stitching issue gets fixed.
Women who are looking to buy Chubbies — these are the style for you. I bought both the Classic Lined and Classic Stretch in a 4″ inseam to compare, and decided to keep the Classic Lined. The fit of both styles is identical — the only difference is the built in compression-shorts-like liner in Classic Lined.
I don’t typically like the feel of compression shorts, biker shorts, etc. but the liner in these are a mesh material, which is very comfortable and breathable. It’s snug enough to stay in place, but not too tight.
The liner falls right at the edge of the shorts, but can easily be scrunched up above that if you don’t want it to be visible. I prefer the Classic Lined because they provide extra coverage when I squat or stretch.
I felt a little too exposed in the see through bikini-cut liner of the Classic Stretch — and I worried that I might accidentally flash people if I wore them for water sports or even just floating in a pool.
However, if you’re against the liner, you could pair the Classic Stretch with traditional women’s bikini bottoms and avoid this issue. I would compare the fit of these to Nike Women’s Tempo running shorts.
However, they’re slightly longer and slightly more fitted through the legs. I wear a small in Nike shorts and the small in these fit great.
Ladies are you tired of the rub, never having real F’in pockets, and needing to bring extra clothes to just go into the local beach dive? Look no further. These are the answers until someone actually make something for us.
They are a little baggie but you don’t notice with the liner. They almost feel like wearing super lightweight quick dry yoga shorts and a looser running short over them. They dry fast enough so you don’t have any problems (you know what I’m talking bout 😉) and with a 4” inseam they still flattering.
For reference 5’2”, 145lb, an 8-10/Medium bottom and got a size Medium, probably could have gotten away with a Small but I’m not bothered by it.

The fitted mesh lining isn’t my only qualm, I am not sure I am bold enough to risk the transparent lining without some bikini bottoms under but I’ll try them out and see how it goes. Despite that they still get 5 stars from me 🥰.
When I saw chubbies at a public pool and someone explained that they have boxer briefs as a liner instead of the mesh lining, that’s the reason I bought these for my husband and son for Christmas. Imagine my surprise when all these swimsuits were meshed lined instead of the boxer briefs I thought I was buying.
I’m definitely not happy with this product. I can go to the store and buy the same thing cheaper than these chubbies. Not a fan of buying online when you can’t see the product and know what you are getting.
I definitely won’t recommend these to anyone since I didn’t get what I wanted.

I received these swim trunks for my grandson very quickly within two days of ordering them. They are very well made swim shorts but they run very small. My two and a half year old grandson is on the rather small side and the size three is way too small for him.

The drawstring is of remarkably bad quality compared to the actual shorts and it’s absurd that it’s sewn on to the back seam. You can’t replace it unless you cut through some functional stitches. The shorts themselves are excellent, the inseam is ideal in length, and the fact that the liner extends through the whole short puts them above Baggies.
These are super dope shorts but the first time I went swimming the dang ol cord done snapped. I rethreaded with paracord so they’re great now but if you’re not willing to fix it then idk good luck. Trunks themselves are excellent.

First things first let me address the length. I am someone who loves to have my trunks short, four or five inches above the knee is my go to. I have short legs for my height as well, so these would probably fit well for the average person.
Besides the length I love them. The first time I wore them I received four compliments on them all from girls (one being from my girlfriend so that one doesn’t technically count, but still). If the ladies love them then they’re obviously some good trunks.
The fabric is out of this world and are not like other trunks where they stick to you. All around great!.

Great quality, but didn’t realize it was one of those shorter bathing suits. Which is my fault for not reading closely. My son is used board shorts so not sure if he will wear these. Can’t return since I washed them before he tried them.

They are too casual to wear out. Too nice to be sweat shorts. To thick to work out in. And the pockets are loose and not your typical LuLu expectations. Lulu products are always intentional … and I love that (I love lulu products).

The material stretched out probably the equivalent of two sizes after wearing twice and now they’re completely unwearable. City sweat shorts are 1000x better. These are horrible
