20 Best Swimsuits For Full Figured (2023 Updated)

Love the color (fluid fantasy). For the sizing, I ordered an extra large which fit perfectly. Normally I would get a large, but reading reviews I thought I would order up a size, and glad I did. It looks good on the waist, having a more slimming look because of the design.

Overall, it is a good buy. Only thing for me personally, is that wearing it on the beach in the ocean, the bottoms sometimes did a small roll down. Could have been cause the waves. I don’t know. But I would definitely order again.

Disappointed in this swim suit. It fit, yet The top is ill fitting because the construction of it is cheap in my opinion. Also dissatisfied because the bottoms I ordered with it were non refundable and that was not advertised, nor was I made aware.

As well as they take out $5 for a restocking fee. Will not be repurchasing. Glad everyone else seemed to be satisfied as I purchased off reviews, however it was a no go for me. Money wasted.

I love this too. I don’t know if it’s the style or the color I love more. I wore this to our local water park and got compliments all day. Added bonus, my family could easily find me, haha! I do think it may be fading already, so I will be taking extra care to wash it gently.

Not much I can do about the chlorine where I go though. I truly love this bright yellow color, I am buying a back up as I write this.

These now run REALLY small. Couple years ago I got two of these tops in size 10; according to tag those were made in China. This time I ordered size 12 (no change in weight but figured the stretch-out may warrant one size up).

Size 12 was too small! Talked to customer service and ordered 14 and 16 to try fits. 16 fit best. Super odd because in all other tops (blouses, shirts, dresses, etc) I am a 10 or 12. These tankini tops are now made in Indonesia.

Perhaps different country/ vendor = different sizing. So: size up ladies! I am 150 lb, 5’6″. Also wish these tops were just a bit longer and flared; would be more flattering. Must say customer service agents were really good with the exchanges.

I ordered this tankini for a trip and as of this posting I have yet to wear it for swimming. It was received on time and packaged well. The size does match the site sizing chart and the fit is just right for me – there is reasonable upper support.

The top is good quality and the stitching looks good and strong. I can’t rate as far as how it will do in the sea water, but hopefully it will wash well. The only thing I want to mention – and others have as well – is that the coloring leans more toward the green spectrum.

It is still very pretty and goes well with my black compression swim shorts.

I ordered the pink floral tankini top. The top is good quality fabric and well-made. However it is not “flowy” as shown in the picture, it just hangs straight. Nor does it have the curved hem, the hem is also straight across.

Lastly, it’s short – the side seam is nowhere near the 19 inches long listed in the description (it’s a good two inches shorter). It’s disappointing because the fabric is very nice, it gets a couple stars for that.

But I’m going to return it because of the three issues.

Doesn’t hold up as well as I would like it to and the padding that’s inside the cups is way too small so you have to either take them out or adjust it and adjust it again and again since you’re moving around.

I’m usually a 2X but ordered a 3X and it fits perfect minus the support issue I’m having. Will order both other colors along the Blue one I already have. Top and bottom was the same color.

Received my swimsuit very fast. I was extremely excited opened up the package it was more of a purple then a blue that i was hoping for, then it didn’t give me the bottoms. Wasn’t given anything with tags so I pray i can return it.

Comfortable and true to size. I was not aware that the back had ties to bind it together. I was worried about how complicated this would be or would it show too much of my back side. No worries. I tied it and I could slip it on and off.

I bought 2 suits from an exclusive store and they faded after two uses. This suit has not faded and I feel it will last the season. The price was a third of the other suits purchased!.

I have been looking for a suit like this for years! Its a simple one piece; no patterns, mesh, ruffles, or cut outs. It fits true to size, but I tend to bloat/ have sensory issues so I got one of each.

I’m 5 ft 3 and chubby, with a 42in waist. This suit is good for large thighs which has been my problem with bottoms. The coverage is good and it’s easy to get into and out of, even when wet. I did the “bend-and snap” test with all of them and everything stayed covered for me.

I like the simple construction. Sewn-in modesty pads on top, but no wire or support. It does have a bit of elastic under the bust to draw it in, and that doesn’t go all the way around. Which means no weird side-boob/ back muscle tightness/ marks.

This suit smooths, kinda like shape-wear? I’ve worn mine for a couple days of swimming and, while I haven’t run them through the washer yet, I’ve hand washed them and they’ve dried well and kept their shape.

Which is why I’m glad I got multiple. While the 1X/ 2X fits the way I want while in the water, the 3x fits like a good tank top and is good for around the house/ running errands (paired with cute bottoms, of course!) Since the straps are thicker, about an inch at the top of the shoulder (where the seam is) they don’t dig into my shoulder or slide down.

I’m usually between a 2x and 3x top and 1x bottom, so tankinis are generally a better solution but I’ve become sick of constantly adjusting the thin waistbands that Walmart has been putting out lately, so I decided to give this one piece a try.

I got a 2x to fix my top and that leaves the butt area on me a little more lose than I’d like but if I wear this in public, I can always wear swim shorts over it. I’m impressed at how the leopard print hides flaws (cellulite) and is very flattering.

I tried this in a solid color too and it was not flattering so I’m hoping they put out more prints. I usually hate gathering around the belly because it makes me look pregnant, but it blends in on this pattern and I like it.

I think I would have had to go 3x without it.

Have recently returned from a 5 day Mexico trip with the family for Spring Break. While I’d taken a couple of extra bathing suits “just in case,” I was curious if the Banksia + Tanami would have been enough! The answer: YES! And–no! But not for the reason you’d think! First the no, so you aren’t living in suspense.

The spa at the resort had an extensive “water ceremony” involving multiple steps, including an aloe steam and an exfoliating scrub–bathing suits were required, and I was THRILLED to have brought spare suits.

I absolutely would NOT have wanted to risk the scrub/gel products messing with my Baiia suits! Ok, on to the YES! I wore the suits five times over four days, all in different combinations. The suits dried quickly and it was easy to swap looks around, with or without the belt.

Pro tip! If swimming with littles, be mindful of how you tie on the belt, as they will likely be yanking on it occasionally. Suits are quite tight at first but very quickly become a second skin. I’d actually brought a range of coverups but mostly stuck to a blush colored stretchy sarong I already owned.

LOVE. I’ve already purchased the Monaco/Hamptons suits for the US Memorial Day/Flag Day/Independence day festivities, but I’m seriously debating adding the Mallorca to my collection as well. Absolutely adore these suits and this concept! The one thing I would request–matching rash guards, please! Oh–and apologies for no pictures, but any that Daddy took had two kids latched onto me, suit completely obscured!.

Dipped my toe into Baiia swimwear by picking up a few pieces from the seconds range and now I can’t wait to get my hands on a full bikini set. They lived up to the hype and I am so happy with the pieces I have so far which comprises the Banksia body suit and 2 chest pieces from other sets.

I was doubtful that the body suit would not be see through when wet … but I am happy to report my doubts were unfounded – the smimsuit looked great dry AND wet! My only complaint is that the body suit gave me wedgies during the day … this is likely due to the fact that I have a long torso (hopefully solved by a bikini set!) Also, as it is shapewear and quite snug, bathroom breaks after a dip without some drying time is not recommended! These two slight cons are more than worth versatility of, and the lovely shape created by, Baiia swimwear.

As someone with social anxiety and bod issues I can’t tell you how good this swimsuit feels. Customer service has also been amazing. Please consider doing a bikini version of the Banksia as the print is gorgeous and I’d love to have a whole swimsuit in it.

I have purchased 3 of these Surf Volley Speedo swim trunks over the past few years. They are shorter cut length and dry very quickly. Drawstring is on the inside of the trunks which I prefer. The fit of these trunks has changed.

For example, the first pair of XL that I purchased had a wide leg and seat which made the trunks very comfortable even when wet. However, the next two pairs, last year and this year, were not cut as generously so I may need an XXL but I don’t believe that size is offered.

Also, the elastic is very poor quality and is not long lasting but the trunks are. Adding a real pocket and better elastic and cut would make theses trunks perfect for the active, middle-aged guy.

The suit is flattering but designed to be functional for active swimming, and does both well. My daughter needed a modest suit for camp and this worked perfectly. The ruching on the sides is subtle but gives it a nice shape.

Good quality fabric. Definitely not transparent.

Quite simple style, a little bulky upper front, decided to return it. Not very impressed what Speedo did.

I bought this bottom to go with the navy/salmon floral tankini top. It is a perfect match and I like the mid-rise style. The quality is good. as expected with Ann Cole brand swimsuits. I like that I can purchase other tops to go with these bottoms for different looks, which offers choices and versatility.

Excellent swim bottom- perfect fit! So nice to have a bikini bottom that doesn’t have my butt cheeks hanging out. I wish more manufacturers would start making modest bathing suits for us !! We don’t want to look naked from behind!!.

After trying many bottoms and sending them back this is the one I LOVE. Super flattering and young looking and gives me full bottom coverage. I’m 5’2” 110-112 lbs, athletic build and I bought an XS. I sized up for the tankini striped halter top due to other peoples reviews.

I honestly wish you would make more colors in this bottom because I would also invest in the many colors of your twist front bandeaukini swim tops. Your colors in that particular suit are amazing.

i bought this to wear as a bathing suit bottom but when it arrived the leg length was long enough I could wear as shorts/skirt around town or when going kayaking. the length went half way down my thighs – and I have long legs.

Comfortable. The first day I wore them was when I went kayaking. The material is quick drying and not irritating when they got wet. Will buy again.

I bought this swimsuit last Spring and I am so glad I did it is one of the most beautiful and flattering swimsuits I’ve ever worn. The light sky blue with iridescent glittery “scale” pattern is gorgeous.

I have never gotten so many compliments on a swimsuit before. The fit is perfect in my opinion. I usually wear a 2 in tops & leggings with a pants size 22 (for big booty room) For Reference, I am 5’2 42H 53-41-54.

I went with a 2 for more support up top (This straps crisscrossed helps too). I appreciate the extra length despite my shortness bc my extra round booty causes most swim dresses to ride much shorter in the back.

This one keeps the derrière covered. I could literally go on and on about this beautiful mermaid swimdress, but suffice to say, Just get it. You won’t be disappointed.

I’d like to start off by saying that I think this does run a bit small. I typically wear a size 6 in Torrid dresses/leggings and a size 5/6 in shirts depending on how loose I want the shirt to fall. I am going on a cruise next week and needed a last-minute swimsuit because my other two are running a bit small on me nowadays and I am always confident that Torrid has got my back when it comes to sizing, I’ve never really had any issues with their clothing not being on point with the size the tag reads.

The design of this is very cute, though if your breasts are naturally saggy or just aren’t perky, this will potentially flatten your chest a bit, the open crisscross help a little bit. I love the design, I am super happy with it, I will be wearing it, but it is definitely a bit too small for me.

Possibly I am just not in a size 6 in swimsuits, and I need to look elsewhere for swimwear going forward.

This swimsuit is my absolute favorite of all time! I’ve gotten compliments practically every time I wear it. I wish Torrid would carry more of this exact style suit, but in a variety of patterns. I would be tempted to order a couple more suits in that case.

I wear it several times a week to swim at the Y and so far it’s holding up well. I do wish the straps were a little wider, but compared to how flattering it looks on, it’s really not a big deal. I am considering ordering the next size down just to make sure I can still wear it as I keep working out.

This is the swimsuit of my dreams. Adjustable straps, no underwire, and a skirt that covers my rear–however the slit in the skirt makes it sooo sexy looking! Not too sexy, but just very alluring and appropriate for my age.

I have an anniversary beach trip coming up, and was worried about feeling less than beautiful 10 years in, but I feel confident in this suit. I bought it in black. I am not sure how the inside/outside lining would look at the neckline in another color, as it seems not to lie quite flat on the seam.

I also am short waisted, and this fit me perfectly, however I didn’t adjust the straps. Not sure how this would work for longer torsos. I am so happy to have found it, though! There is a black one-piece underneath, so if the top layer floats up, nobody is going to see anything but a black suit.

All in all, very flattering. It certainly put a smile on my face.

Suit has way to much spandex in it which made it extremely hard to get on. Once on it looked nice but you could not breathe. If you are making suits for mature women, please understand that there could be certain medical conditions that you would need a comfortable suit, even if I would have gone up 2 more sizes, I believe it still would have been too tight.

I also think the material is to heavy for swimsuits.

I ordered this suit even though it was back ordered and had to wait several months to receive it. The color is bright and cheery and the style is very figure flattering. It does run a size big. I returned it but re-ordered the next size down.

My re-order is also back ordered but I’m willing to wait because it is a really figure flattering bathing suit.

i didn’t realize this needed a bottom piece to go with it! but since the bottom piece is not attached it rides up. also, I was very disappointed that the solid blue portion is not as noticeable as in the picture the website displays which makes this not flattering for plus size womenmnñ returning it right away!.

This suit is adorable but the leg is really high cut in the front, and shows a lot more chubby flesh than I want exposed. I wish it just covered a little bit more. It looks like it covers more in the model photo but it goes pretty high up on the leg.

There’s no support for the bust, they get smashed down but the zipper makes it sexy. I’ll probably keep it to wear at home or just around my husband, but too much exposed flesh for public wear.

It’s a super cute suit and super flattering on my body! However, it came with no padding and nowhere to put padding. It’s a thin suit, so this makes is practically see through. It’s obviously made for larger chested girls, so why is there no padding? It would be perfect otherwise.

Just disappointed about this.

this was the second suit in my order and i love it! the bottoms are high wasted and so cute. ive never own a suit with that kind of style and i love it! also covers a bit of your tummy but still looks great.

the top is also great and i like to wear it on its own with shorts especially for the summer. the ties in the front are nice too and it surprisingly offered a lot of support! im a c cup for reference.

This swimsuit fit me so awkwardly. There is ZERO padding in the top, so you poke through it. The crosses also leave weird dents on your chest. Also, the bottoms were SO baggy and big, but if I got an XS, the top wouldn’t have fit me band-wise (as a 32B).

It would’ve been cute if we could’ve bought separate pieces and if the top came with removable padding.

The suit bottom is cut weird, like it wants to be high waisted and also French cut at the same time. Not flattering on anyone with a tummy. The top is also much smaller than you’d think. Pattern is cute though and since I got this on an ultra sale I’ll be gifting it to a friend with a different body type instead of returning it.

Love this suit! I’m a 14/16, 40DD, 202 lbs, 5’4 and ended up with the size 16. The 14 fit my body better minus the hip openings. They’re very small on both of these sizes for me, which is why I had to go with the 16.

The 16 is still tight on my hips, though. Great support up top! The neckline pulls the girls together better than any suit I’ve ever tried on! The colors and design help flatter my tummy.

Super cute! I ordered the small – fits like an XL in traditional sizing. It’s a very well made and stylish swimming suit that is also flattering. Colors are retro cool. I docked one star bc I’m finding their leg openings are really small and end up being uncomfortable after a few hours of wearing the suit.

Relative to the size of the suit, the leg openings need to be slightly bigger.

This suit fits wonderfully. It doesn’t cut into my legs or shoulders. I love that you can adjust the straps. I haven’t worn it yet to swim so I don’t know how supportive the chest area is, but it seems to hold everything together.
