The idea of having both the disposable mop pads and cleansing solution all in one system sounds so convenient. but …remember the old saying “ if it’s sounds too good to be true, it probably is”; …after using it for some time I can honestly say the ease of use is great however, it does not come close the deep clean you get with a traditional mop.

In my experience it barely even cleanses the surface and I have have to physically push and exert myself with the wet jet for just that. Perhaps they redesigned it over the last year or two and it works better but in my opinion it does not clean your floors as good as it should.

Also taking into consideration the expensive refills of both the solution and pads, is it really worth it? I’m not the type of person that cleans my floors every day and when I need my floor cleaned I need it deeply clean.

I’ll clean in sections across the kitchen working my way towards the lounge and edging of my kitchen. The spray comes out of two spots covering a large area that you hit a button with by the handle and slowly mop.

I usually find to get a good clean I have to use two pads one for the dirty first clean then 2nd for a quick wipe over. to make sure all dirt is removed. While it cleans and cleans most messes well the wet jet doesn’t get as close to the edge as I would like.

And it isn’t as good as a hand scrub clean. This is ideal for those who just want to make the floors. cleaner and quickly without hours of work. The spray dries quickly and most say my kitchen smells lovely, I alternate between the purple bottle with febreeze and the white bottle that is Mr clean endorsed.

They both work well I just prefer the purple febreeze one for the smell. Usually the bottles last me a month and I replace each payday monthly. The boxes of cleaning pads usually last me about 2-3. months depending on how many pads I use per clean.

id definitely recommend the wetjet for anyone just looking for a all in one solution without worrying about rinsing buckets and mop heads every few wipes.

I didn’t realize this was specifically for the wetjet mop. I have the regular swiffer. The pad sort of sticks to the floor, making it hard the pull the swiffer back towards me. The solution is very wet at the beginning, leaving the area where I start kind of white and soapy but the pad starts drying out about halfway through.

My area is 20×15, not large. I’m going to finish what I have but I won’t buy again.

First tried Swiffer WetJet at a convention and have used it at home ever since. Good spray coverage, doesn’t pool (if you’re following directions). Lights do double-duty — light up dark corners AND tell you it’s working (it’s so quiet).

I thought, “Oh great – I’ll use this!”. It worked great except – for the vomitous smell. What lab scientist thought this cleaning smell was a good idea? When I say, “vomitous”, I’m not using it simply as a critical adjective – I mean, literally -, it smells like vomit.

I recleaned the floor twice using dry pads and cleaner – that didn’t work. I then got down on my hands and knees with a large wet sponge and a bucket with some Pine Sol. THAT did not work. It now smells like pine scented vomit.

I cannot get this smell out of my living room! Today my plan is to move all the furniture and thoroughly mop the floor a few times with bleach dilution and reapply some kind of floor wax. Coincidentally this week, I was ill and suffered a night of nausea.

The smell sure did not help. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT use the Swiffer “wet mop” pads. You will regret it.

I had the same Swiffer wet jet for at least 5 or 6 years. A few months ago I tried to use it & it wouldn’t work. Replaced the batteries & still nothing. I figured it’s old & must have died so I bought a new one.

I’ve only used it used once, maybe twice and same problem. Tried replacing the batteries & still no power. Thinking maybe the batteries were somehow faulty I took the working ones out of my tv remote, but still no success.

I have always had great success with Swiffer products in the past but I have to admit I’m very disappointed. And of course it’s past the 30 purchase deadline for Swiffer’s satisfaction policy. This experience will definitely make me think twice about what brand cleaning products I purchase in the future.

Love-love this swifter starter kit! Has everything you need for daily/weekly wet floor mopping in the kitchen or bath- and works great on all tile floors. Has a great smell. This even came with several ‘extra’ wet pads, with a green strip along the edge of the pad to aid in scrubbing and will help you figure out where to place the edge of the pad.

This will help keep the pad in line and in place once on the head of the mop. There is sufficient liquid cleaner (a little too much some might say) and will clean a large area without changing. It picks up dirt you can’t see (I was amazed, as I had my tile floors professionally deep cleaned, and there was plenty of dirt that remained).

Sturdy handle, easy to use. Just throw the dirty pad into the trash.

I haven’t owned a Swiffer for many years and thought I’d give it a try again. I first used it on a new construction bathroom with rolled vinyl flooring. There is a light texture to the vinyl and the wet cloth just didn’t quite get up some of the powdery residue left behind from me having drilled some holes in drywall for the towel racks and tp holder.

It also couldn’t get up scuff marks left behind from my clunky black post-op shoes I’m currently wearing. I tried it again in the kitchen for a quick clean, but was left ho-hum about it as it couldn’t quite remove some older dirt (sauce?) that had dried on the floor — this is bamboo flooring.

Even when I flip the divide to use the scratchy scrubby strip, it couldn’t handle it. In fact, the pressure needed to do so made the handle feel like it might give way and bend. I’ve also had an issue with the head flipping back on me when I pull the mop towards me.

Kinda frustrating. Lastly, that smell of the wet stuff is nauseating and lingers hours after cleaning. I ranks up there for me with the smell of wet clothing left in the washing machine too long. I think the best use for this would be for use immediately after cooking and maybe there are some drips and splatters on the kitchen floor.

Don’t let anything dry on the floor, and hopefully the smell can be drowned out by a candle or incense. Just all be aware that the wet cloths are VERY wet and drip all over, so put them on the mop in the same place you intend to clean.

I have used the swiffer products for many years, in fact, I still have my old swiffer products. I thought it would be good to update to the newer product since mine is so old. What a difference! The new swiffer product is much less sturdy and feels much cheaper than the older products.

The starter kit did come with wet pads and dry pads. One thing you will want to make sure is that your floor is vacuumed before using this, which kind of defeats the purpose. If you have any larger items on your floor such as pet hair or fuzzies, this will just move it around rather than picking it up.

Especially if you are using the wet mop feature, it will wet the dirt and you will smear it around the floor. Another thing that I had an issue with, is the cloth not staying in the gripper holes, they kept falling out and I had to keep fixing it.

As far as cleaning, I was able to clean my darker wood floors and they looked very nice when I was done. However, I have lighter wood floors in the dining room and the cleaning solution left streaks which were visible.

Whether or not you like this product will depend upon your cleaning preferences and the surface you are cleaning. If you do not have a large area to clean, such as a small kitchen area, this will be perfect for you.

if you have a larger area, you will need to change the pads out very frequently.

I am impressed at how much dirt the Swiffer WetJet Absorbant pads collect. I can do my whole apartment with one pad and it isn’t even filthy dirty. My floors are cleaned every week so they aren’t super dirty anyway.

I literally have been cringing over mopping my floors. not because I don’t want to, I do. I’d say it’s the lack of a mop and bucket on account of spring cleaning the bucket got tossed and the mop is MIA.

Decided, I have a swiffer and swiffer wetjet, I ordered some refills and just an hour ago i decided to mop my kitchen floor. it took one wetjet swipe and the floor looks great. the older swiffer I still use but it would have taken at least two, maybe three wipes to accomplish what one wetjet wipe can do.

I still love the wetjet over them all and I find it easy to store, use, and reorder.

We used a graco paint sprayer in our living room. There were areas that were exposed to the overspray and caused our pergo floor to have a mist of paint. I had these heavy duty wet pads on hand and was so relieved that all the paint, even the ones that had dried up came off effortlessly without ruining my floors.

The paint that got in the grooves did not come off for this obviously, but I was able to scrape it off and then mop with these wet pads again. The abrasive part of the pad really helped. Without much effort at all, I was able to easily clean all my floors including vinyl and got the job done much faster.

The Swiffer WetJet Wood Starter Kit has everything you need to get your wooden floors clean. The cleaning wand has a nice spray / mist feature that includes a light to show where the solution is being sprayed.

The cleaning pad that connects to the wand is different than the normal Swiffer wand I have. This one does not tuck into the top, but is a Velcro-style connection on the bottom. I think I prefer this connection compared to the tuck top because it has a more solid feeling to the connection.

However, the pad does not curl up over the wand end and stay, which may be a negative. It is nice that the starter kit comes with 5 cleaning pads. Replacement pads run about $. 68 each, which is not a bad price for convenience.

The solution used is a multi-surface cleaner, which is nice if you have a mix of wood, vinyl, tile, and laminate surfaces to clean. It does get the floor clean and the pad trapped a lot of dirt. One negative may be that with the solution bottle connection to the wand, it is a bit cumbersome to maneuver in tighter spaces compared to a dry Swiffer setup.

I don’t recommend this product. I use the swiffer wet jet to wipe up muddy footprints on a rainy day in the entry way of my home. That’s about all this product is good for – quick, lazy cleaning. It is not designed to deep clean a floor.

It’s good enough for a quick clean in between cleans. If you have more than a mudroom or very small kitchen or other tile surface to clean with this, i would NOT waste my money or the space in my home.

The only reason i have kept it after purchasing is for rainy days, quick, halfway acceptable clean. If you are expecting the Swiffer Wet Jet to be efficient enough to clean your whole home THOUROUGHLY on a regular basis, you are mistaken.

You would be better off to invest in a steam mop or simply use a traditional mop than to waste your money on this. You cannot re-fill the solution bottle yourself anymore. I suppose swiffer thought it to be more important to make more money than to be ecologically and environmentally conscious.

I would also recommend you buy the re-useable mop heads. They stick to the velcro on this mop just fine and will save you money and save creating more waste which Swiffer, apparently, has no issue with promoting.

For the price of this product, I was not expecting much. However it’s inconvenience of use outweighs it’s benefits.

I recently tried the Swiffer Wet Jet Wood cleaning kit. The box included mop, disposable pads, cleaning solution and even the batteries. I unboxed the product and the directions for assembly are on the actual box.

I would have preferred a paper pamphlet. It took me a minute to find where the batteries went and also there is a little cardboard insert in the slot where the cleaning solution goes. I didn’t see it so until I looked closer and removed that the solution didn’t snap in and work properly, I think the directions could be made more accessible and clearer.

Once I got it put together and began to use it the first thing I noticed is the light on the unit only works when you are spraying the solution. I would like it better if you could have light on all the time to shine on the floor.

The Swiffer cleaning system did make my wood floors very shiny and they we not sticky. It is quick and convenient. I would rather it cost a little less with no light and just a manual sprayer. That is not that useful of a feature to me.

Swiffer wet jet for wood did a good job cleaning several flooring surfaces in our home. It has a clean light scent. It cleaned up dust, dirt plus our dogs footprints. It dried quickly. Using is easy because it’s premixed.

This is a great cleaning product that works well on all surfaces. It’s safe for wood surfaces but also can be used on tile, marble, stone, vinyl etc. I used it on tile and it worked great. It got rid of dirt and the tiles were left clean and not sticky.

Smells very citrusy. Typical floor cleaner scent- not my favorite but I can deal with it. It’s great but to be 100% honestly it is little overpriced. I think I can find similar product that works the same for less.

Got these instead of the usual store brand on a whim to see if they’re really any better for wood flooring. We’ve got original wood flooring that’s been refinished so it’s impossible to keep clean to say the least.

These did great but didn’t seem any different vs other wet pads. Don’t get me wrong as I stated they do clean clean very well BUT I’d only purchased due to the fact it’s packaging makes the product seem specifically for wood flooring.

After further reading it’s actually only wood safe so Swiffer wasn’t untruthful but very misleading. If I’d have noticed in store I’d not have spent the extra to get these. So it’s an okay product but I’m only giving 3/5 bc the misleading packaging.

Save your money get the cheaper cleaning pads they’re the same as these and yield the same results on my wood floors. Swiffer is a great brand but I’d love clearer packaging, cheaper prices (bc they’re disposable they’re literally reaming us for the name on the box lol), and I’ll not be repurchasing in the future! 😔.

I have hardwood flooring throughout my first floor. I have been using a washable microfiber mop pad affixed to a push mop along with a spray cleaning solution for many years now. I was excited to try these Swiffer wet wood floor mopping clothes.

I used them on my entrance hall, kitchen, dining room, great room and master bedroom. I like the idea of replacing a sheet each time it has gotten a full use and continuing with a fresh cloth. I often felt like I was pushing the dirt around with my reusable mop.

I have all large areas and used six clothes to clean five areas and a large walk in closet. That seems like a lot, but that is about 1900 square feet. The best part is the results. The Swiffer wet wood floor cleaning cloths left a nice clean scent and to my surprise a polished look to the wood flooring.

The solution I was previously using left them looking a little dull by comparison. My floors look great, and I feel that I saw the dirt removed each time I switched cloths. I would definitely recommend that you give them a try if you have not used them before.

The starter kit for Swiffer is a good house item. Is it going to win any excitement awards? Nope. Yet this four AA powered wet mop, beats the traditional method. Yes years ago, that’s how I would clean my wood flooring.

No thanks as this modern mop is much easier and quicker. Sure I can’t snap my fingers and make everything clean by magic, but this contraption is a bit more close to this dream. First off the mop is easier on my back.

No old mops aren’t a lot of weight, but being tall and having to move it around, could lead to back pain. That no longer is a reality. Far easier to press the button and dispense the cleaning liquid, and dry it up with the attached Swiffer pads.

All in one cleaning, and best guess is a 50% time savings. That’s a considerable amount of time, and for this I’m thankful due to the units very affordable cost. It’s been a game changer, and I’m very happy to say “get it to clean your house up.

I can’t remember how long ago that I’ve purchased this, (at least 6 years ago) and I use this every time when I clean my floors! The majority of my floors are carpeted, but when I clean my kitchen and bathroom, this is my all the time go to because they are both, very small spaces.

My Swiffer Sweeper Mip picks up all the dust my vacuum leaves behind. They are kind of expensive, but nothing works as well to pick up fine dust. I have been using Swiffer Sweeper Mops for years. They are a wonderful cleaning product.
