20 Best Sweet Wine For Beginners (2023 Updated)

This wine is definitely the grab when you have guest over and don’t want to open your expensive bottles. (Inlaws for instance jk lol) But nevertheless everyone always wants more including yourself. Tasty and definitely makes you want more.

Especially if your on budget because the kids stay in your pockets and leave you with little to enjoy at night from all the hard work you did in a day lol. But get it and try.

No expert, but there is little to no burn, if any, the aroma isn’t strong, though I get a slight vinegary/fermented smell typical with red wines or wines in general that I’ve encountered (cheaper stuff) with what I guess they call darker fruits, like raspberry, black berries, and stuff like that, a little hard to tell specifics tbh.

As for the taste, thicker texture, silky, fruity (can’t really think of any specific one except for probably the grapes used of course), slight rum/spiritiness, alcohol flavor, tiny bit of vinegar, little sourness at the last drop, light-medium overall fruity flavor but present enough, decently tasty, fairly balanced, smooth with almost zero dryness, if any, practically no burn, yet only the flavor of alcohol for being a wine.

I think this is a really good one for its class. However, the fizzy moscato is a little sweeter but is more burny going down, and in the stomach, this is more like silky juice that is rather gentle, something I’d never expect from alcoholic beverages, likely due to it being very well balanced in all or most of its aspects.

If you don’t like dry wine at all, this is it! I am not a fan of anything dry myself, so I am speaking with a little bias. Overall, you’re getting a fairly silky smooth semi sweet fruity experience with no harshness to top it off.

It’s hit or miss with Barefoot wines, in my opinion. They’re a good and cheap brand if you get one of the hits. This is one of them! Tastes as described on the bottle. Nectarines and oranges mostly. With a hint of berries.

Sweet and a touch of tartness. It’s really good! It’s under $6/bottle. I would recommend.

My go to wine when I’m not sure what will be offered for drinks at parties and get togethers. I am not a fan of dry wines at all which is why the pink Moscato is one of my favourites because it is so sweet.

My friends all make fun of me for it because I only like juice wine but I could have 3 bottles in a night and not notice that I had had that much wine. So if you want something that is sweet and smooth and makes it seem you aren’t drinking wine at all I highly recommend.

This is literally the only wine I drink. I ruined the taste of alcohol in my youth and I’ve never been sble to convince my taste buds that we enjoy wine but this is delicious. I’m not gonna be mad at it for giving me heartburn every time I drink it because water gives me heartburn and at least this is delicious.

I don’t know if this is bad but I drink the entire bottle and I get just enough of a buzz to not wanna drink for another 6 months. I’m not wino. I harely drink. But all I know is I don’t make a face when I sip this and I make a face when I sip ANY alcohol besides a nice amber beer.

My mom bought this along with the Watermelon flavored one a couple times at the liquor store near where she works. I really love the taste. It’s sweet but not too sweet and the strawberry flavor in it revives your taste buds.

I think she said the bottles were at least $10 to $15. I’d highly recommend this and the Watermelon flavor to all wine drinkers like me.

I always, always, always will reach for a Moscato, since it’s on the end of the SWEETEST WINES category. There’s many people that don’t seem to like it as sweet as I do, but it makes me happy, when I can find a wine that I like.

Every week I give myself a treat of some sort sometimes it’s a new coffee blend for my Keurig or a trip to the take out sushi bar on friday afternoons before heading home. Recently I have been on a fabulous trip to my local target to pick myself up those little 4 pack bottle of Sutter home wines.

I enjoy them because I do not have to challenge myself to end up drinking the whole bottle in a couple of days. Yes I know there is such things as wine bottle air stoppers to keep the wine fresh and I do have several of those in my bar.

However, in my case I can purchase two different types of Moscato and try them out when ever I’d like or one little bottle at a time. I usually have a girlfriend over and she can have the choice to have a individual choice of her own little bottle which is just perfect for one person with two servings.

It’s the right price, the perfect serving ammount and it allows me to become an even better hostess to my girlfriends when we have our little get togethers. Sutter home has always been my go to house wine and my can’t go wrong wine as far as pairing with deserts and main courses during any quick last minute get together a real no brainer for a quick last minute stop.

Seriously, this wine is to die for! If you are a sweet wine kind of person and you have not tried Stella Rosa Moscato, you absolutely have to try it! And honestly even if you’re not typically a wine drinker, this could convert you.

There is absolutely no dry or bitter taste too it, just sweet fruity goodness. Also if you throw it in the freezer an hour or so before you wan to drink it, it makes a yummy refreshing slushy! If I could give this 6 stars, I totally would!.

Oh BABY! I just discovered this bottle of deliciousness. It’s actually become my favorite wine to purchase. I’ve always loved Moscatos because of their sweetness and this one does not disappoint. I usually find it at my neighborhood Walmart, but you can also get it from Publix or a liquor store for a reasonable price.

I’m not a Moscato fan but I love this one from stella rose. It restored my faith in drinking Moscato. I love it chilled or over ice. Smooth and refreshing.

I tried something I normally wouldn’t, the. To my surprise, it’s light, crisp and not overly sweet. It’s a nice wine for spring or fall brunch. This box is the equivalent of four bottles, so it’s perfect for small get togethers.

I would recommend putting the box in the fridge the day before, because it is best when served chilled. Definitely recommend. .

You can run barefoot with this one! This is a lovely, light bodied, mildly sweet white wine. This should be enjoyed at social gatherings, around a campfire, in a wineskin on a hike or anytime friends gather to have a good time.

I actually get these for my mother who’s in her 80’s but still loves her Moscato! This is perfect. They’re sold at grocery chains so it’s a convenient pickup when I’m getting her other items. They fit in her fridge perfectly and the twist off cap is so easy for her to open!.

This was a delicious red wine. My first time trying this company and I was pretty impressed. The price is very affordable. I would just like to see a little more edge to the types of flavors offered.

I love this brand of wine. Had many different kinds and love them all. Not a red wine drinker but this one is not overly sweet or dry so it makes it a great wine in my opinion. Red wine is my absolute favorite! I hate dry wines and the hangover that accompanies it! This is my go to wine whenever I’m able to have a glass(when my 23yr old boys go to their grandparents). 😉

It was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. I loved it and I will be repurchasing again.

Light and fresh. Definitely acidic and bubbly. Like a flat prosceco with not a big punch. No after taste or heavy head feeling. Smooth. But sweet. Careful to drinkers with fruit allergies because this one could cause issues.

This wine is ok in small quantities. It doesn’t have a deep wine taste like I’m used to. It’s a little sweet, but that’s not an issue. At first it tastes like grape juice. I don’t feel guilty for not liking it because it’s on the cheaper end.

I won’t buy it again because I don’t care for it.

There’s not much to say other than, it’s sweet. Unlike the barefoot variant, albeit being less sweet, I can pick out more notes and flavors, and a slightly heavier body, even if it’s still a cheap wine, this to me is essentially welch’s with a tiny drop of alcohol in it, not enough imo when the Barefoot contains more and is more flavorful and thicker.

This is just a straight up sugary-sweet wine, with a mostly generic grape juice/wine flavor. I give it three stars, because if wanting a straight up sweet wine is all you are looking for, especially that’s not too acidic like a Moscato, then this is as sweet as you can get while still being somewhat of a drink, and there’s zero dryness.

Started drinking this several years ago at PF Changs. They no longer carry it, so I now order it locally, and it is worth it. It goes great with savory dishes and special occasions. Unlike other moscato brands, there is no dry aftertaste, or funky smell.

Ok, hands down my favorite white wine. It’s on the pricier end and the bottle isn’t too big. However, the wine itself (in my opinion) is worth it. I am not joking when I say this was the best I’ve ever had.

I absoluteky love the taste of this white wine. This was my first time tasting this brand and i was highly impressed by the sweet notes it brought forwards. Just like most moscatos, it has the sweet flavors and the slight bitter towards the end.

Overall amazing, out some fresh cut strawberries and you have yourself an amazing beverage.

Does not taste like the good old wine from back then but some similar notes still in there. The after taste is a bit of an oak taste which I personally do not enjoy. But for nostalgia purposes I was very happy Total Wines is carrying some South African wines, I hope to see more!!.

I tried several brands of wine but nothing compared to Robertson Winery. I have tried the red, white, and pink kind of this brand and I love them all. Price is really good too. I would recommend to anyone looking for a sweet wine.

The best wine! They have 3 flavors: Rosso, Moscato, and Rose. all are sweet. rosso is the only red wine. i LOVE this wine so so so much. they stopped selling it where i live a couple of months ago and i’ve been trying to find a replacement but CANT.

I wanted rosatello to be the only wine at my wedding.

My favorite red wine. It has a great fruity flavor, not too heavy nor too light. My grandmother who enjoys the heavy full flavor wines absolutely loves this wine. It is a family favorite for all members even those who don’t usually enjoy red wines.

It is a staple at my house.

I first tried Rosatello wines on a wine tasting trip in Hawaii. I’m not a big alcohol drinker and only drink what tastes good to me. This is one of my favorite wines. It doesn’t have an aftertaste that many wines have.

It’s sweet and smooth. I’ve tried a few different flavors and the have all been great. It’s hard to locate where I am but whenever I come across it I buy a bottle.

I’m not much of a wine drinker but this. I’m in love and refuse to try anything further. Has a light berry taste with the fizz to it. Almost like sparkling cider which is good and bad, because you enjoy the flavor so much and it doesn’t taste like wine or alcohol, so it sneaks up on you.

But this stuff is good. I found mine at a decent price at total wine and more.

Oh my gosh this is the first red wine I have ever loved. I wouldn’t recommend drinking with food it doesn’t taste right. I love the color and the taste. It’s a sweet wine so if you like sweet I highly recommend.

The wine is very good and it’s mellow. It’s also, good with grilled salmon and steamed vegetables for dinner or just for relaxing. Myself and my wife has recommended this wine to several friends and family an they say they enjoy the wine too.

The Gallo white wine is a favorite at home. When we do a blind taste testing night, Gallo always wins. It’s a full, almost syrup like wine with a smooth taste. We absolutely adore it at home and I would most definitely recommend you to try this wine.

I’m not a big wine drinker and when I was younger I used to always say I was a juice baby (lol definitely drank milk but preferred juice most of my life over milk). I ventured out and tried this wine and it is truly FANTASTIC.

I had an experience with a bitter wine and that left my stomach feeling wildly unhappy. So if you like something more so sweet and almost juice like I think you should give this a try.

Don’t usually like reds because they are just too yanic. So I tried this one because I read somewhere that it was in the semisweet category. Instead it was like drinking a bottle of Welches Sparkling Grape Juice! Going to finish the bottle, but won’t be purchasing this one ever again.
