20 Best Sweat Headbands For Guys (2023 Updated)

I’ve been using these for yoga and weight-lifting workouts. I sweat like a beast, and the main thing I’m concerned about with a headband is that it keeps the sweat out of my eyes. These do that as well as keeping it from dripping down my face! I’ve never had a problem with these lightweight headbands becoming saturated and not doing their job.

It both absorbs and facilitates evaporation – which is the reason we sweat in the first place (evaporation to pull heat from our bodies). These are excellent headbands for working out! Highly recommended.

I recently started going to the gym and found that I didn’t want to go back every day because the sweat would ruin my hair. I asked one of my friends what she does to keep her hair perfect after our Tabatha boot-camp class and an hour on the treadmill and she recommended the Temple Tape.

I tried one and cant get enough of it!! I walk out with fabulous looking hair and all I have to do when I get home is throw this in the wash and hang it dry for the next morning. I’m definitely buying more of these so I can have a clean one for every day and so that I can match them to all my gym outfits.

Wore this for the Big Half Marathon London 2022. Kept the sweat from dripping down my head and didn’t notice it all, until I took it off at the end of the race. A great brand for running, makes a massive difference, no faff with overheating caps or ineffective visors or bandanas.

I have 4 other headbands and they all absorb the sweat. This Under Armour Performance Headband does not absorb moisture. Instead it wicks sweat away. In theory that would work. But no, instead of wicking it to the back of your head, it wicks all sweat right to your forehead and drips it into your eyes.

I’ve tried this one three times, hoping that maybe rotating it might help. Nope. It is in the trash now. Buy any other brand (or no-name brand) headband.

Great product, although if I were a male it would be too tight. For a small female this product is great. Keeps the sweat off my face, looks great on and feels good. Would be great to be able to get different colours however, the white does look great on.

Would I buy this again? Yes, and in fact give it a couple of weeks and i will be.

It absorbs sweat quickly and protects hair coming to my face. Looks great with like colours. Quality of material is okay. Looses elasticity after multiple uses. One size fits all. Wish it was thicker and larger I use it while playing Badminton.

Good absorbency. Decent amount of stretch. Comfortable & stays put during activities. Washes well, didn’t fade. Some tiny fabric fluff pieces were loose on the surface & malted off on first wear.

Living in a tropical and very humid environment means that whenever I’m at the gym I sweat profusely, but having the headband means that I can protect my face while at the same time contributing to the cooling factor of my head which prevents yawning due to the heat.

As someone who wears headphones while working out it is incredibly important to try and keep my head cool otherwise my energy will slip away because my body has to work overtime to cool me down.

This review is written from the perspective of a road cyclist and for that usage I give it a 4 star rating. I haven’t used the headband for other activities for which it might be a 5 star product or a 1 star, so your mileage may vary.

The good: – Kept sweat out of my eyes – Narrow profile doesn’t trap heat – Pressure marks on skin dissipate fast and don’t turn red – Easy to wash off – Fits under a helmet once you learn how to do it – Doesn’t interfere with my glasses The bad: – Pricey – Still get sweat dripping onto my face (nose in particular) – Strong odor when new Details: The material for the headband is mildly stretchy and a little slippery on sweaty skin.

It smells really strong straight out of the package, but after a few uses and washings it is not as noticeable any more. The first time I used it I couldn’t get it to fit well under my helmet. The FAQ on the Seat Gutr website recommended putting the band low on your forehead (below the front lip of the helmet) and high on the back of your head so the back of the helmet cradle is completely below the bulky velcro and band adjustment/closure.

I tried this on my next ride and found it worked quite a bit better. My tendency is to want to pull the band tight, so it won’t slide around, but that tightness was uncomfortable due to the band only stretching mildly, so I kept it a little looser.

I don’t have a lot of problems with it sliding around and I can adjust the position on my forehead up or down pretty easily and it seems to stay put. In this position it sits above my ears and doesn’t interfere with sunglasses.

I was a bit worried about using this for road cycling where you spend a lot of time with your head down- would sweat be able to drain out the back of the gutr in that position? After a few sweaty rides, I believe this is a problem.

Every once in awhile when I lift my head more upright I can feel the sweat draining out of the gutter at my temples. I think when I am riding head down, though, some of the sweat is still making it past this band.

The good news is it changes the flow enough that it doesn’t get into my eyes, which is my #1 concern. Instead I find the sweat making it onto my nose. I can live with that, but head socks and such do a better job of keeping sweat out of your face until they reach saturation.

This does a better job if you saturate your head socks or absorbant headband during a ride. It also occasionally lets a drip through that gets onto the inside of my glasses which is a minor annoyance.

When done with a ride and I take the gutr off, a quick rinse cleans it up. It leaves a slight indentation on my forehead, but it isn’t as noticeable as the red lines that winter neoprene headband/ear warmers make on my head that are still visible several hours after riding.

These lines fade much more quickly. In conclusion: I prefer the sweat gutr to the head sock I used to use for sweat control because it is cooler and doesn’t saturate. It succeeds at keeping the sweat out of my eyes, so I give it 4 stars overall and would recommend it to others.

I think it’s great, in concept. And it probably works fine in maybe cooler climates, maybe with less humidity. All I know is that for me, it just wasn’t effective enough. Even when I coupled it with a typical sweatband above it, the stinging sweat still ran into my eyes.

After buying the Sweat GutR and being disappointed, I bought a Halo sweatband. It works much better. I would highly recommend it over the Sweat GutR.

I liked the idea of this product. I’m HIGHLY disappointed in it because it cost so much but doesn’t work as well as the cheaper Halo brand or fit as comfortably as the Halo. The Halo is $10 the Gutr was $17.

The Gutr looks great, I loved the their fitting option at first and its low profile and with not as much material I thought it would be cooler. However. I live in Goergia and the humidity and heat are extreme.

When I sweat perfusily the Gutr can’t keep up and with the amount of liquid. The Halo absorbs it and uses it to cool you. The Gutr fitting system is genius but it is always either to tight and it digs in or to lose and doesn’t work as well.

For $17 I expected A LOT more. The Halo, although more material and may look hotter, it absorbs sweat and uses it to cool you. The Gutr moves it away from your eyes but then it runs perfusily down the side of your face distracting you from your riding.

Its highly disappoiting. PROS: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Dries Quickly CONS: Poor Fit, No Absorbtion BEST USES: Mountain Biking, Not Good On Super Hot Day.

I ordered 3 headbands for my husband for Christmas! He decided to grow his hair out for the pandemic and it was getting in his face, these are the perfect shape, texture, and he loves that they tie in the back so he can make them fit his “big” head (his words!).

Along with the 3 I ordered, I also received 3 other headbands from another order by accident. When I saw the mistake I emailed JUNK and they got back to me promptly and told me they had sent out replacement headbands to the original buyer and that we could just keep the extra 3 we received! I personally greatly appreciated how they handled this because I did not want to have to deal with shipping something back to their store, I wish more companies handled situations this way – plus my husband got 3 more headbands and loves them too!!.

I purchased these for my son who is a Cross Country and Track Runner. He wanted something that tied instead of an elastic headband and your company was one of the few that carried this kind of item. He loves them!! thanks!.

I need a band that would keep the sweat out of my eyes while playing pickleball in the heat and humidity of a Mississippi summer. All of our indoor locations had been closed because of COVID-19 but, we were allowed to play at our outdoor location.

My JUNK headband exceeded all of my expectations. The look is superb / feel is superb and they keep the sweat out of my eyes. Bottom line – they work better than advertised. I like them so much – I now have a total of 5! Great product and super customer service.

Suddora’s wristbands are the best! I play competitive tennis and twice a year I buy this item in bulk in various colors and I buy several pair in the colors I use most often. The wristbands last a long time and are comfortable.

The wristbands come in two widths. I prefer the shorter width. Great purchase!.

I have been wearing armbands for several summers on my predawn walks to absorb sweat and especially to wear under the slap bracelet lights I wear to be seen. They are perfect! I just purchached the zipper armband – wearing it on my leg to hold a cell phone (not a smart phone).

Works great. (I’m a walker, not a runner. ) I plan to buy another. Customer service is excellent: fast with good pricing. Quality of product is excellent – soft and launders well. Many thanks to Suddora.

I’ve tried these headbands so many times because so many people love them but honestly I just don’t like them very much. Yes they’re cute I’ll give them that, and they stay in my hair pretty well, but they also break my hair so much that I try to avoid them! This type (Nike brand) generally keeps their elasticity pretty well which is nice especially if you’re like me and have a small head.

Also it beats using prewrap or other elastic type materials that break easier because you can reuse these for quite a long time. The inside has rubber so they don’t slip off your head as easily which indeed works for the most part but it also sticks to your hair and when it does move it doesn’t just slide it pulls your hair out with it.

It is nice that it isn’t too bulky or gives you a tan line but because it is so stretchy and thin it typically makes a grooved line in your hair. All in all if you really need a headband that’s going to keep your hair back and stay put for a while this will do the job.

Just be prepared there are some downsides.

Should be used to false advertising with Nike by now, but this one might take the cake. In the photos this headband looks nice, structured, absorbent. In reality it is flimsy, thin, and is useless to stop sweat from getting in your eyes.

It becomes full of sweat at the hint of moisture and for nearly $20, I would expect more. A sleeve cut off of an old shirt and crammed over your head would stop much, much more sweat.

Bought this for my 17 year old son for his varsity/club soccer. He has a lot of hair! Son wears them every day he plays soccer for the past year. These headbands work great for him, and keeps his hair in place, and from going all over the place.

These headbands are just as suitable for boys/men with a lot of hair as girls. Great product, great price!.

I got this to keep my ears warm while playing golf. It has been perfect and I can still wear my hat to keep the sun out of my eyes. The reversible feature is awesome as well. I have the blue Nike hate and the blue Nike visor as well.

I bought this same head band 7 years ago. The quality of the 7 year old model is better than the new one. It works for me so far. I bought 2 of these and the stitching seems a little worse than the old one I had.

I would say it was worth the money but, I’m hoping it lasts.

Son growing his hair out, and always in his face. I told him either get that mop under control or I’ll cut it. So he loves the headband, wears it all the time during games and training.

When I took the headband out of the packaging it was slightly ripped. I wore it one time the first day I bought it while running for roughly 20 minutes. I washed it and it was frayed in 4 areas. I returned it about a week later.

I could have been just a bum headband off of the assembly line or my washing machine could have been overactive that one time, but overall I thought that this product was poorly made and wouldn’t have lasted long at all if I tried to stick with it.

My best recommendation would be to purchase a similar Under-Armour brand headband or other comparable product. All of the headbands were roughly the same size, shape, and price. The only difference is this one was falling apart after one use, causing one more annoying trip out to the retailer to return it.

Great headband. Keeps my hair out of my eyes when I start sweating, which is exactly what I was looking for. Not the greatest for sweat since it is super thin, but if you have a couple to swap out they do dry off really quick.

I literally wear this thing every day. I forget I’m wearing it. It’s comfy. Not too tight. But tight enough to stay in place. LOVE IT.

Son wanted a headband for his hair for soccer. Son really likes this headband, seems to work as designed. Easy to wash, will likely get another in a different color.

Material seemed nice. Sewing looked shoddy. Much to small to be usable for my 59cm head.

Fit snug under a Bell mtn bike helmet. Almost too snug. Then one dryer cycle caused it to loose elasticity. Maybe that was my bad, putting it in a dryer, but it is junk now. PROS: Breathable CONS: Loses Shape or Fit, Doesn’t Wash Well.

This headband keeps the sweat out of my eyes on all but the hottest Kansas days. On those long rides in the heat, I have to stop and wring it out about every thirty minutes. Perhaps I shouldn’t be riding on those triple digit days? PROS: Good Fit, Breathable.

Having tried brand after brand of sweat mgmt headbands. I am thrilled to say I have finally found my ‘forever product’!!! The Halo bands x 4 that I ordered on spec, arrived very fast, in excellent condition and with minimal ( important to me)but perfect packaging.

I was immediately impressed with the products. you don’t always know when you can’t feel it in the shop beforehand. They washed nicely, dried very fast and are of excellent material quality! Used for indoor sweaty spin workouts the bands do 100% as they say on adverts.

Eyes saved, earbuds stay in and bands stay superbly in place. I love the yellow grip bar!! The material is soft, pliable but solid and leaves no ‘ah, that was so itchy/ tight’ feeling behind. A pleasure to wear 🙂 Used for yoga and painting our shower and bathroom, and shovellibg snow(ugh) the bands are very comfortable over a long period.

I was originally looking for a headband to supplement my winter running head gear (very cold winters here) and I bought an anti-freeze pullover and anti-freeze skullcap. They worked great! So in the spring I added two Bandit Air pullover headbands.

They were fantastic for my morning runs. As the weather became hotter, I added an Air II and two Air Slims. I really like the quality of these headbands and their functionality. They’re easy to keep clean, too with a quick rinse.

I wear them on every run (I run about six times per week). I’m sure I’ll end up with a couple more as we head into fall in a short while.

One of the most frustrating distractions during long mt bike rides in the heat of Southern California is sweat draining into my eyes ~ especially if I’ve accidentally put sunscreen on my forehead. Having to stop my bike mid-trail, remove my helmet to ‘wring out’ the forehead padding of sweat, and dab at my eyes to remove the stinging sweat and sunscreen really sucks.

I’ve tried thicker pads in my helmet thinking they would absorb more (they do, and then they drain more into my eyes). I’ve tried a thick headband from my skiing / snowboarding but it doesn’t fit well under my helmet and makes me even hotter and sweatier.

The Halo II is the best solution I’ve found. Thin, superlight, fits snug but not constricting, it fits almost unnoticed under my helmet. The rubberized sweat gutter works as advertised ~ no sweat / sunscreen / stinging in my eyes while mt biking! I’m so grateful for this simply, effective, low cost solution.

The only drawback is that after a few hours on the trail, the gutter does leave a dent in my forehead for half an hour ~ ha ha ~ but worth it : ).

I bought this headband along with the matching face bandana and the 4 pack of headbands to keep the front of my hair covered when going out during this pandemic. I can’t wear yoga headbands due to being allergic to the grip strips in them so when I read the reviews on the snuggness of these I thought I would try them and I was not disappointed! I have never had a large size headband actually stay in place on my head until these.

The quality is out of this world too. I have really bad texture sensitivity and these feel amazing. The designs that I chose were beautiful and clearly printed. The shipping was absolutely awesome! I got my whole order within 5 days and it was a day earlier than expected.

I am low income and I was worried about spending so much just for headbands and a face mask but I am not disappointed and they are definitely worth the price. I will DEFINITELY buying again.

I definitely would recommend their headbands. We actually purchased one, my son loved it! Then he asked for three more in different colors! We ordered and received those exactly what I expected and the shipping was on time.

Then I had to order seven more because the whole basketball team wanted one!.

I would give this a zero rating if I could. Don’t get me wrong, I love the design but I have never been so dissatisfied with a lulu product in my life until today. My mother sent this as a gift seeing that my hair flops around when I study or play volleyball.

This headband lasted less than 4 weeks before the stitching and material broke. Never got to use it on the volleyball court because of exams 🙁 I just wanted a durable athletic headband but I added one more thing to the landfill :(.

If you’re like me who gets constant headaches or light headed after a run on a windy day then try protecting your head with these headbands. The Metal Vent Tech fabric is breathable and wicks away moisture fast.

It is also great at deflecting polluted winds that can mix into your sweat, absorbs into your skin and in turn may effect your performance. A small detail with a big impact that is worth trying on your next run or workout pursuit.

The quality is nice and stretchy and fits perfectly around my head. It serves it’s primary purpose of holding hairs back and absorbs sweat well. You can fan the front out according to your preferred warmth head coverage.

Also just an idea I wrap my wireless behind-the-neck headphones excessive wires to the back of the headbands to secure everything in so I wouldn’t have to adjust my ear pieces often. I now own 6 of these headbands all in different colors and want to note that with some colors you may feel tighter or looser but after a couple of minutes it adjusts to my head and it never bothers me.

Love this headband! It not only keeps my hair out of my face and stays put, it also can be worn in various temperatures. I can wear it in chilly weather to cover my ears or wear it in sweltering heat to soak up the sweat.

It also can be worn by either gender. The stock photo is a male, but I’m a female and have 4 of them in different colors. I would like some more feminine colors though :).

Two of the 12 pens were faulty. The black pen was empty and the blue released too much paint on pressure. The rest of the paint pens work beautifully and are easy to use and give excellent finish to my rock paintings.

This was a Christmas gift for our 13 year-old daughter who plays basketball and volleyball. While the color was an exact match to her school’s shade of red, the headband itself has been very popular with her due to its fit and ability to soak up sweat from her forehead!.

Basketball season calls for new headbands. This one functions well. No problem with sweat getting in my Grandson’s eyes & spoiling the shot.

I had been looking for a merino band for some time when I came across this product. It’s great for draping over the eyes when sleeping, or using it while exercising. The only thing I would say is that it fits a little tight.

I have a knit cap from another company which fits looser, but they do not sell headbands. Full disclosure, I have a large head (23. 25 inches or 59 cm. ). For most people the band should pose no fit problems.

I ordered these to use with heat transfer vinyl to make school spirit headbands. They worked alright even with the seam running down the middle. They are adult-sized, so they will not fit children or people with small heads.

It’d be nice to have a product that ran in a smaller size and didn’t have a seam running down the middle.

These headbands are awesome!!! Great quality material that is nice and thick, but stretches nicely for a great fit. I used HTV on them for sports teams and everyone loves them!! Colors are vibrant and the price can’t be beat! I plan on buying more!!.
