To say I was disappointed would be to say the least, FROSTED GLASS blears across the front of the can and in smaller words on the side it says semi-transparent. I sprayed 4 coats and still it’s way to transparent, had walmart had a better product I would have bought that.
So if you are trying for real frosted glass this is not the product for you. I see by other responses some find it a good product but for us who wanted real frosted it was not. I recommend this product only because some might like this almost invisible frosting.
Works as advertised. A thin, one-coat layer does make the glass opaque. Light comes thru easily, but seeing thru the window is not possible – only vague shapes can be seen if they are close tot he window.
You really need to mask the windows, and surrounds before spraying. It is a can of spray paint, so over spray is going to happen. You really need lots of windows/doors open for ventilation when spraying, and for 10 minutes after spraying.
Very strong vapors when spraying, and until it initially sets. Let dry completely, before trying to remove the masking. Put on a thin layer at a time. It goes on wet/clear, and goes opaque as it drys.
If you go heavy, it will run. Clean the glass thoroughly before spraying – any scratches, dirt, etc will show up clearly after spraying and drying. The surface drys with a slight rough texture. Should be washable with a damp cloth.
Surface can be scratched, it is acrylic paint, so use in an area that gets a lot of pet or kids contact will probably require touch-up. I put on two layers, and it looks good.

I used this product to color some clear light bulbs for a circus/carnival setting. I had a small (6 oz. ) can of peacock blue from 1999 which was very intense and perfect for my needs. But I had only the blue and wanted additional colors.
I found Krylon’s Cranberry Red, Canary Yellow, and Summer Green (all 11. 5 oz. ) on Blick’s site and ordered them. I was a bit disappointed, and the images on the labeling are somewhat misleading in my opinion.
The chromacity of these paints is rather low, requiring 3-4 coats in order to obtain any appreciable color intensity. That’s great if you want subtle stained glass effects, but to me, most examples of stained glass feature intense, deep colors: ruby reds, golden yellows, and emerald greens.
The product itself applies well, evenly, and professionally. Just be aware: if you’re looking for those intense rubies, golds, and emeralds, you’re definitely going to need more than one coat. I can’t speculate on the blues, purple, or orange available but I would assume they also would require multiple coats for deep color intensity.
Used this to cover an LED overhead lightbulb illuminating our front porch. The super white LED now shines like an amber incandescent bug light bulb. Most excellent. I chose to put on 3 coats, but you can do more ot less.
Fantastic paint. Use it to color Mason jars. Sprays on well and gives beautiful color with a few light coats. Highly recommend. Wish Michaels carried all the colors.

I really like the outcome of this paint. Purchase different colors and each color as accurate to the cop. However, you really have to be careful applying it because it tends to run. Also you have to shake it up really well or it will spit out more of the glue rather than the paint which will cause your result to be frosted rather than translucent.
But if you mess up just spray more on top of it and whatever is underneath it will soften up as well so you can blend it in together you also use a brush while it’s still wet too kind of even it out.
It works best on flat surfaces that lay perfectly flat. If there’s any slope to it it will run. I wish you had more tack to it. And I wish it would drive faster. But other than that it’s an amazing paint and I done some amazing stained glass work with it.
Please don’t get rid of this paint and get it in two more stores and make it dry faster.
We work with a non-profit and put on a dinner for 350 people a year. Have used 140 clear glass vases multiple times for decor on the tables. This year we purchased this spray paint in multiple colors and sprayed all of the vases in about 1-1/4 hours with 4 people doing the work.
Paint dried quickly and only a few of the vases were oversprayed a little – no big deal – still look great. The colors are not deep but would be if we had put on more layers. We all LOVED the outcome and know the vases will look lovely and new this year.

However, Sea Glass spray leaves a power substance on things other than the glass you are spraying. It seems to adhere only to glass, which is good. I use a cardboard box and spray the glass item inside, but there is still over-spray on the newspaper outside.
It washes off easily from skin and clothes (hand wash to remove before adding to the washer). If possible, using it out side is best. It’s well worth the effort for the nice finished glass project!.
Applied first light coat. Looked globby. Let dry for 8 hours and applied second coat. Still nowhere near smooth. Even with five minutes of vigorous shaking the paint still exits the can and lands in thick specks, not a find spray like spray paint should.
I decided on two more light coats over a two day period hoping to even out the surface, but never achieved anything like a smooth finish. From about ten feet away the bottle does have the appearance of sea glass, but as you get closer it becomes more obvious that the surface has been altered.

Krylon is and has always been a thin coat of paint out of a spray can, so you must use a base coat for there specialty paint like “shimmer”, I got the candy grape and since I was using a base coat I could manipulate my final color lighter, brighter, darker, shiny, or flat, tried plum to dark purple as a base and made a few test spots til I found my favourite.
( won’t work with black but blue,silver, and purple have a lot of leeway). Use rustoleum as a base it is thick out the can and krylon sticks to it when dry or while still wet. By doing it this way a can of $9 shimmer lasts you along time or can do a larger job than if no base coat used.
I’ve got two more tricks but aren’t necessary unless your trying to make it last along time outside, both tips come from another single purchase but if it’s for outside and you want it to last 5 or 10 years it’s a great idea.
It’s a clear coat and not like any you buy in a local store you have to order it eBay or amazon it’s called “ Spray Max 2K “ it comes in gloss or flat but the best part is the spray tip it comes with was made by this company and patented and will work with shimmer spray paint can it makes paint spray as if it was from a spray gun in a fan pattern for better coverage with less work and less paint then you put the tip on the clear coat can to spray you finished paint job ( use within 24 hour of finished paint for best adhesion but don’t rush to soon let paint set up) and you now have a rock hard coating over your project for years to come, clean tip and keep it for future projects ( won’t fit all spray cans but when it does you’ll be glad you have it) that’s just my personal opinions take it or leave it but hope it helps some of you out there.
I ordered purple shimmer and picked up from local store candy grape. Purple shimmer is darker so I have a project with 2 different colors on it ,not cool. With the metallic it comes out light and dries dark so I didn’t catch it as I was doing it but after it dried was not in a good mood looked at can color then checked my order and there web site everything but the 2cans I used said purple shimmer,called store a manager wanted to see the cans for his reasons didn’t say brought them back and a different manager said they only Carry candy grape that’s the only purple in metallic shimmer they carry.
She gave me a refund but I still have a 2 tone job to fix and no paint.

The color and brilliance was super cool! It is a super cool metallic pink with hints of purple and looks awesome. The reason for the 3 stars is that it clogs super easily. It sprayed well for the first maybe 10 sprays, and then started clogging about every 3 sprays.
It got worse the more I used it and would clog after every spray, forcing me to pull the nozzle off and attempt to unclog. 5 stars for the color, 1 star for the ease of use, average of 3 stars.

This store is ridiculous! Bought these paints and they weren’t appropriate for my needs so given the “returns policy” they have I thought I could get my money back for them, as they were never used. Turns out it’s impossible to get a courier to ship these products as they are restricted.
how Fat Buddha legally shipped them is beyond me. I contacted them to be told it was up to me to find a courier to ship them, I tried DPD who sent it to me but they state they wont send these items and to contact the store for them to arrange a refund, but as I was told it’s up to me to arrange this, looks like I’m stuck with them! It’s really bad for a company not to give information at the time of purchase that these are restricted items and to get a refund will be difficult, on the item page it states nothing like this! Also if the store are able to find a way to ship these then they should be responsible for arranging a collection of them if they aren’t wanted, as now this “generous” returns policy doesnt apply to me!.

I read a good review on this to use in a fairy garden. You use Outdoor Mod-Podge on your little house, fairy, or whatever. Then you spray it with this to keep everything from fading in the sun. Be sure to get matte rather than glossy.

I believe this is a solvent based spray, it contains ketone(s) (I’m not a chemist). So always, as with anything, test this product on small sample before coating a precious object or artwork. Krylon makes a variety of spray based top coats, some are meant for specific things like coating drawings or photographs–be mindful that these specifications are useful to you.
If you use this particular product, do it outdoors or in a properly ventilated (spray booth or the likes) room. Always wear a respirator. Let the object you sprayed off-gas in ventilation or outside for at least an hour.
It is likely to smell for up to 24hrs–and this stuff smells like poison. That sweet smell is the ketone, and yes it’s terrible for you. All of this said, when used properly, this product will produce a near bullet proof finish that protects against scratching and supposedly will not yellow.
I have objects that have been coated for a few years and seem to be holding true to that claim. If you are looking for a more conservation friendly “varnish” use Golden spray varnish or the likes. This has no indication that is it engineered to be conservation friendly.
