20 Best Soft Sided Coolers With Wheels (2023 Updated)

This cooler is so handy to have. Its well-made and it holds more than I initially thought. I love the feature of the main inside container coming out so that I can thoroughly clean it out after use & the added handles makes it easier to lift out.

I also love how much other storage features are added like the side pockets and the bungee cords to hold extra items. The wheels never get stuck & roll over almost anything with a breeze. The handle bar is sturdy.

It doesn’t wobble or bend like some in the past I have owned. It has good control and is strong. The taller size compared to a wider size without compromising storage size makes it easier to carry & store.

Super handy and awesome cooler.

This cooler is pretty nice. It definitely holds quite a bit, and the inside shell is nice because it is easy to clean if something spills. The wheel feature is also great, because we use a cooler when out fishing, and that’s one thing we have to carry.

The one thing I would change is the height of the handle though. I’m 5’4 and had an ok time with it, and my husband isn’t much taller than me. The handle could stand to be longer. I also noticed when wheeling, it wanted to tip over sometimes.

I’m not sure what the improvement for that would be all. In general, am I pleased with this cooler? Absolutely.

We recently traveled to Williamsburg, VA and used this cooler for our day trips to the beach and it was perfect! It says it holds 42 cans but we only bought a few so it holds 12 cans plus a few bottles as well as snacks.

We did not use any ice but it was nice to know that it wouldn’t leak out because it has the hard plastic liner inside to help keep everything chilled and the outside is kept dry. It has wheels which helps pull it when your hands are full but the wheels are only on one side.

It would be nice to have 4 wheels instead of 2 so it would be even easier to maneuver. The straps on the top are great for bags of snacks. Overall a great cooler bag.

Yeti makes quality products with exceptional thermal properties, but with that comes the weight. Even empty they aren’t the lightest, fully loaded is a 2-person job to even move on level ground. So happy this has been addressed with this sturdy, smooth retractable handle, with a wheeling method similar to travel luggage.

It is easy to maneuver on level ground empty or full and has great built inside handles for lifting. The 60 does come with one dry basket, which I think is plenty to start with. The cooler also includes the redesigned lid latches with are easy to use and create a tight seal.

The 60 also has a lot of capacity so I’d recommend the divider to allow for multi-purpose storage. I like having one side full of ice with drinks and the other with just a large ice pack for food storage that could get lost in the loose ice.

As for the cup caddy, it’s a nice idea, but because this wheeled cooler tilts to be moved that could hinder its usefulness. As for the Lockport, I’ve only seen what was sent with the cooler, but as long as this doesn’t increase either dimension of the cooler, I think it could be a good accessory if that feature is needed.

The well-engineered lit stays open even with the handle up. Also, the wheels extend past to body and handle to ensure the rear of the cooler and drain plug are protected. My only complaint is that it didn’t come out sooner, but happy we have it now!.

I bought this for my birthday gift to myself, to put in my van or car for short overnight trips, but the moment it arrived I knew it was much too big for my needs. You need a the Roadie 24 or a 30 on wheels.

A few years ago I bought the Yeti Tote bag, also returned because that magnet vs. the zipper is horrible to keep it open to fill it, it just won’t stay open and there is nothing you can do to keep it that way other than put a stick in it or something.

I am very sad today. I suggest you add more specs to your specs such as how many gallons or quarts they hold inside to compare to other coolers that put that info in their specs. I am giving you 5 starts because I should have measured measured my ideal size crappy cooler on wheels to make sure the Yeti is similar, but the photo didn’t make it look that big.

Also giving you a 5 star for the return policy. The only place you can buy this cooler is on Yeti. com because you haven’t shipped to stores yet, including when I went to look for them at West Marine.

I was hesitant to purchase a Yeti due to its hefty price tag and because there are lots of knock-offs out there with good ratings. But, was tired of all my ice melting after a day of boating so I splurged.

This cooler is “huge”, it’s incredibly well built, has sturdy wheels, and it stays icy cold for days. But here is my best discovery. rather than using messy/melty ice, I’ve been using Cooler Shock Ice Packs (bought on amazon) and our drinks turn into slushies and clean-up is a breeze!! I do not get any kick-backs from the Cooler Shock people (pinky swear)- but now I don’t dread cleaning out the cooler after a day on the water.

My one criticism is that Yeti needs to make a wheeled cooler that is smaller (like a 30)- cuz it’s not always practical to pack up this monster of a cooler. Currently, Yeti wheeled coolers only come in 48 & 60 (which are huge).

The cooler is small enough to use as a lunch bag if needed. It does fit 9 cans and maybe a small ice pack. Not sure why you’d have the net inside under the cover, the only thing you’d be able to place in there without damaging would be napkins.

Once you fill with 9 cans, the outside front pocket is pretty useless, it doesn’t expand, so unless you are using that for napkins or maybe a knife, something thin and small, it really is more aesthetics that it is there.

The side sleeve, you can place a can or something similar there, but if you have a water bottle that is taller than that, then I wouldn’t. It is not deep enough. If the sleeve started closer to the bottom of the cooler, to have more room, then maybe.

The seams are well constructed and the handle and additional strap are also really nice. It is a solid piece, with the water resistant exterior and the seams inside to prevent leaks. It reminds me of the old construction lunch boxes men would take to work in a way.

I got this cooler. I really do like it. It has enough room to put 42 cans of drinks in. It lasts all day long with the ice so your drinks are very cold cold cold when you take them out of the cooler.

I like the way it is designed it has a hard bottom so that when you put your drinks in it in your ice in it it holds a steady it doesn’t tilt forward or backwards because the design of the bottom it has a sturdy flat plastic with plastic feet on the bottom which I love.

I love that it has a handle that you can extend and retract as you need it it is very sturdy and adorable the handle. The upside is made with a fabric but it’s like a little stiff but soft fabric so it doesn’t give Ian like most coolers do like that.

End it has a little pocket in the front that you could put like a bag of chips or two in there to carry along. We use it to go to the park, too go riding as a carrier long for drinks you can also bring it for sports is very compact and easy to carry for that.

I really love this little cooler.

This cooler is a great size for a picnic or afternoon at the River or other day use. Think of it as a soft side cooler with some rigidity built in and featuring wheels and handle. I say some rigidity because it’s not drive-over tough, but it’s also not sack-of-rocks heavy.

In fact it’s super lightweight and has only the amount of rigidity needed to make it useful. The squared shape make it very efficient for packing things in. Holds plenty of beverages, and we like to place a flat reusable ice pack on top to keel everything nice and cold.

The retractable handle and wheels mean that the kiddos can finally help carry things! Very very useful. This is becoming our go-to cooler for single day or afternoon outings.

This is a good cooler, I use it to keep medications cool which is critical when I am on an extended road trip and my meds must be left in my van. HOWEVER, Coleman is not understanding their largest demographic, Baby Boomers and Disabled Travelers.

While 2 wheels can be helpful, 4 sand wheels are necessary for those of us who want to enjoy the great outdoors but suffer from arthritis and related conditions that make it difficult to tilt a fully loaded cooler.

Baby Boomers also have a history with Coleman and we want your quality products. Please forward this to your R&D techs and hopefully they will understand and fulfill our needs.

My family has gone through so many of the tradition rectangular style coolers that you pick up at any big box store, but they are never easy to lug around. We have always ended up buying a bigger cooler than we need, simply because “bigger is better” because you get more for your money.

But that’s simply. nit true if they are cumbersome, unwieldy, and more trouble than they’re worth. Often you find yourself wishing you had something easier to transport. This cooler is perfect! The size is great because even the little ones in your family can move it around because it has wheels! I own a other cooler with wheels, but because of the bulky size and shape, it’s still not easy to move, especially not for the kids.

This is built like luggage with a telescoping handle grip. I do with the handle were a little longer, but the current length doesn’t take away from how much I love it. At first, the zippers felt a little sluggish to pull.

But I realized right away that they have a rubber coating to keep them sealed tight. There is no snagging, they are just a slow pull. We went to the lake last weekend and this cooler was full of ice, some had melted.

It was out in the back of my car and tipped over, but because of the great zippers I had no water in my car! Love this detail. The size of the interior is great. I packed it as full as possible and got 20 cans, several bottles of water, with plenty of room for ice.

I haven’t used it to pack food, but I know it will work out great because of the size and depth of the interior. Very excited to use this on our next camping trip!.

I was really excited to use this cooler. It has a really great rugged look to it, and I like the idea of being able to pull it to my destination. The zipper was coated with a nice rubber coating which is nice.

The front pocket is convenient For maybe keys or money, but its very snug, I could barely fit my hand in. I guess if you are simply packing canned beverages this cooler may work for your needs, otherwise I would not suggest it.

We went out for a day at the lake, it was about 90 degrees out. I had packed some pint size waters and juice boxes, some wrapped sandwiches and some fruit. The padded inside of the cooler makes it hard to fit different sized items, and once you get your ice in, it’s difficult to find what your looking for due to how snug it is inside.

The top of the inside of the cooler got extremely warm, almost hot after being in the sun for about an hour. So anything that’s on top did not stay cold (the fruit in my case). I also thought the handle should be able to extend more.

I’m 5’6 and it was a bit uncomfortable to pull. This cooler may work best if kept in the shade and not filled all the way with food or drinks so you can pack more ice in. But after just about no more than 4 hours total, all my ice had just about melted and in was just left with mostly ice water.

I was very disappointed, as I was hoping this would be a great beach cooler.

This convenient backpack cooler has everything you need to pack up a quick 24 cans (or about 15 bottles) of your favorite beverage whilst sitting comfortably on your back like a pack of books on your way to school (don’t take beverages to school, please).

The portable soft cooler backpack is unexpectedly rugged and yet comfortable; another amazing feat by Coleman, the best makers of coolers. I was able to fit 24 12oz cans of soda and beer rather comfortably, including some ice packs.

The well insulated and anti microbial liner kept the beverages cold and secure, and when we were done with our beverages, easy to clean for our next haul. The backpack has adjustable straps for any size person to carry the load.

It also has side straps to carry if you want to tow it with another person. It includes a front pocket to keep dry items dry, although there is not much room for it. It conveniently has a bottle opener and two side mesh pockets for what else you would like to bring along.

Inside the insulated liner there is another mesh pocket as well. Overall this product should stand the test of whether you’re taking it tubing, camping, or just to a concert, this is a must have.

When I first saw this cooler I got soo excited. As a mom with 2 very small children it is hard to go out to parks, the beach, the pool or lakes because of all the stuff that I have to carry. With this cooler I can store drinks, my babies milk, fresh fruits and veggies in containers, I even throw in my infants teether and all I have to do is pull the cooler and it rolls.

I even place my diaper bag on top of it making things easier on my back and shoulders. It is easy to open, doesn’t take up a lot of space at all. The material inside the cooler did seem a little strange to me at first but once I filled the cooler up it was perfect.

The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have a way to drain water like a regular cooler but you just have to flip it and dump everything out. I decided to leave it open once it was empty so that it can dry properly.

I love how the cooler has pockets making it easy to store a few thing and if you don’t want to roll it it has handles on the sides. If it’s full it doesn’t fall forward, all in all It’s a well made product that I highly recommend.

The Coleman 28 can soft cooler back pack is great for so many reasons. First, it holds a lot. I wasn’t able to get 28 cans and ice, but did get about 20 cans/water bottles/Gatorade/juice pouches and enough ice to last a whole day at the beach.

Second, the straps adjust to fit my 6’5’’ frame and my wife’s 5’2’’ frame which is great. Third, the side pouches and front pocket hold coozies, phones, sunglasses, snacks, and more. Fourth, the flat bottom and dual zipper top make it sturdy to stand flat and easily open and close when getting out your beverages.

Fifth, the insulation keeps the drinks cold all day even in 90+ degree heat at the Florida beaches or Baton Rouge ball fields. And lastly the Coleman name. They are know for cooler and camping equipment and they certainly delivered on this 28ish can soft portable backpack cooler.

I was eagerly awaiting this and when it arrived I was surprised at the size of it. I was hoping i could pack an ice pack inside along w/ my drinks but i am unable to fit everything i need if i do that.

Instead i leave the ice pack out and pack my stuff. It’s a tight squeeze but the items do stay cold w/o the ice pack inside but not forever. I think it will stay cold for at least 6-8hrs before it starts to warm up.

I like that i am able to fit granola bars or items that don’t need to go inside on the outside pockets. This is a nice feature. There’s also a pocket like this on the inside as well. It’s def sturdy.

It’s a good little unit if you are just needing to take a few things. I unfortunately am in need of a bigger size. Also, when i ordered this from cabela’s website, it didn’t get shipped to me from Cabela’s, it got shipped to me from Coleman.

Idk why that is but it took a good amount of time for it to arrive to me. Had I known it was going to take that long, I would have just went to my local Cabela’s to pick it up. Next time I will do that.

So I just thought I would hop on and give my experience with this little cooler. First off, hello do you see that pretty teal color? Teal is good for men and women, so be forewarned. your partner may “BORROW” it.

Now the design of this cooler is pretty typical, but I have to say it has everything I personally wanted in a smaller cooler. There’s good stretchy pockets on the front and on the sides. I have put snacks, papers and my cellphone in them without issue.

The zippers have great pulls on them, that makes it so much easier to use them for people like me who have problems grasping small items. The material on the outside is a canvas type and is easy to wipe clean.

The strap is a good length and is adjustable, the padding is PERFECT! I hate having to carry something like a cooler full of drinks, food, ice. etc without any protection for my shoulder/hand. The inside is typically designed, no issues there.

The soft sides and harder bottom is ideal for a cooler, in my opinion. Zero issues with this cooler!.

The Coleman Sportflex 16 can cooler is a solid option for a smaller travel cooler or even a larger lunchbox. It doesn’t keep ice for long but I typically use ice packs and those seem to do well. I’m not sure that it actually lives up to its claim but I never actually anticipate that the advertisements are fully accurate with coolers, there’s too many variables to consider to get the maximum performance.

The components are really nice, I like the pockets and ties. The zipper is better than I anticipated. This is great for a short 2-4 hour drive, I can get to my destination and have chilled drinks available to throw in a fridge which is nice.

I’m quite picky on the coldness of drinks, I prefer them to be really cold; someone else might feel like they’re still readily available many hours later. I didn’t see any issues with the construction, the stitching looked solid all around.

Great small grab and go cooler!.

Great little cooler! Outside is a poly/nylon fabric, inside is padded and lined with a silvery fabric. Then there’s two handles that can be velcroed together and an adjustable shoulder carry strap as well.

The whole top zips open on three sides so it’s very easy to pack and access everything, and the top also has a small Velcro opening for quick access. I found that it kept things cool for car trips and grocery runs and stuff like that.

Would also be great for someone who works out of a vehicle and packs and carries lunch and beverages for the day, or for road trips where you pack snacks and drinks for the group or even a nice picnic.

Obviously it doesn’t replace a heavier duty cooler like a roto-mold type but it definitely serves a purpose and has its place. My one wish for improvement would be for the exterior to be a waterproof rubbery material instead of a nylon/poly fabric because then it could be used in and around the pool and really washed when dirty.

The Coleman 30 Can Portable Soft Cooler in a Cool Space Blue color works great and a nice look to it. Holds 30 cans, has a pocket on the front, net storage on both sides, has a bottle opener attached to the outside of the cooler on it’s own strap.

Coleman logo centered in the front zipper compartment towards the bottom. Has a adjustable shoulder strap and also two handles you can velcro together or just use both handles. The top of the cooler has a small velcro lid opening you can pull open instead of unzipping the cooler everytime you’d like to grab a beverage out of the cooler.

Ultra thick insulation and can keep items cold up to 42hrs. We used ours for 2 day. It still had ice. It wasn’t sitting directly in the sun but was outside the whole time. Very easy to wipe clean and dry.

I have no complaints on the Coleman 30 Can Portable Soft Cooler, in Space Blue Color. Very satisfied.

We have two family members that have owned these for a few years. We loved the small portability of them that we decided to buy one for ourselves. Perfect for the beach the pontoon and to be able to put them in our vehicle easily.

The ability to pull and lift the cooler is effortless and love the extra pockets it has to store other items. The lock lid is great since it’s just a twist rather than the suction as other coolers it’s attached and you don’t have to worry about it ever going missing.

The inside is plastic and easily can be wiped out. Great addition to our family as we have gone through other coolers and just haven’t found the right one. I would recommend to purchase for yourself or as a gift to someone.

Perfect cooler for poolside! With all the compartments and elastic bans on top for towels, it doubles as a beach bag! I put sunscreen in the top section, two phone sections is excellent and I love the colors/styling.

The only thing I wish could have been incorporated is a latch or some way to keep the lid open while you are loading the inside of the cooler. Otherwise, excellent!.

The two-piece soft rolling cooler is beautiful. We got it in the mail and the following week, were invited to a BYOB BBQ. It did not disappoint. So beautiful and classy. It was perfect and so well-made and just perfect for BBQs or beach parties or anything we might be invited to go for a day of fun in the sun, an outdoor dinner with friends, or a tailgating party; anything outdoors, actually.

I had been waiting for the wheeled cooler to become available again from TB ever since seeing a friend with one. This one is bigger, but a perfect size for planning a picnic in the park and is tall enough for a bottle(s) of wine along with plenty of ice packs, beverage and other perishables.

The second cooler that fits inside the Larger one for storage between use is a bonus. No wheels on the second one- but it does have backpack straps. We didn’t use as a backpack- it has plenty of handles to carry it normally.

We recently used this set on a road trip to bourbon country. It was great wheeling the cooler into our hotel room with the second cooler riding on the wheeled one,held in place by a great design. After unloading into the room refrig (we took food for some meals to use in the kitchenette) we loaded up the smaller one for day trips.

The wheeled cooler wasn’t empty when we packed up to go home- we used it to carry our bottles of bourbon safely home.

I own numerous Yeti products, but this is my first hard cooler. I purchased this model in the blue color at the Chicago Yeti store. It was extremely helpful to be able to compare different cooler sizes in person, and the sales crew there was very knowledgeable.

I like this size as it fits perfectly in multiple configurations behind the 3rd row in my SUV and allows for additional luggage. It is also the maximum weight (when filled) that I’m comfortable routinely lifting – though it is heavy when it’s full.

The handle and wheels are a great addition to this cooler! The wheels roll smoothly. The lid and latches are standard Yeti – great build and quality. For a fun experiment, I purchased 2 bags of “sacrificial ice” and put them in the cooler I week prior to a trip.

The cooler was in my kitchen with a constant 72deg external temperature. I started the stopwatch on my wrist to see what would happen. Nothing terribly scientific, but each day I checked the ice a few times.

1-week in, I still had about 1/3 of my ice remaining. So, I emptied the water, put some Yeti-Ice in the bottom, kept the remaining 1/3 of my “sacrificial ice” instead of putting in new ice, and packed the cooler with food and beverages for my weekend trip.

None of the items I put in the cooler for my trip were pre-chilled. The cooler got good use on the trip – the kids could easily open the cooler during our drive and used it like a car refrigerator during the 3-day weekend trip.

When I got home, I emptied the remaining food and beverage cans, but there was still ice remaining. I decided to wait to see how long it would last. It turns out, 1 day shy of 2 weeks! Not only was there ice during this entire time, but the internal temperature of the cooler remained at or below safe refrigerator temperatures.

This is far more of a buffer of temperature stability and food safety than I had anticipated and is amazing with respect to ice preservation. While this was not a scientific experiment, it was a practical one for me.

Like some, I had read about the legendary Yeti ice retention with these products. But this cooler far exceeded my expectations!.

Yeti, years after releasing the tundra haul still hasn’t released a basket or divider for their cooler because they cut corners and used an old mold for the interior. We spent hundreds of dollars on the newest release wheeled collar and here we are years later and they still won’t support accessories for a cooler that contains no disclaimer about the accessories.

Because this cooler is on wheels and designed to be at an angle when rolling it absolutely needs a divider, everything shifts when it tips. Then because they don’t sell a basket you can’t keep your delicate produce, or eggs, or anything for that matter out of the ice and water.

I was a loyal stanch supporter of Yeti till now. Bad on them. It takes absolutely nothing. NOTHING, to design a basket and divider for this cooler that even has a groove for a divider. Shame on you YETI, you’ve lost a customer, supporter, and advocate for your brand.

DO NOT BUY THIS COOLER.

When I saw the product description, I thought this was exactly the cooler I needed for my boat. The cart would make it easy to roll down the dock and the size was just right. Well, so I thought. In reality, this cooler was incredibly frustrating to use.

With the cooler loaded and strapped to the cart, lifting by the cooler strap results in the cart falling to the ground and the folding section collapsing. On the other hand, attempting to lift the cooler by the cart handle, even when it’s only half full with ~24 cans and some ice packs, reveals that the cart is WAY too flimsy for that purpose.

So, after the first use I recognized that the cart was useless. As for the cooler itself. it’s got a little plastic “window” on top that’s apparently intended to show off the silver insulation beneath the nylon shell.

Well, the window seems to have the consistency of Saran Wrap, as the first time you brush your hand across it, the plastic rips and exposes the floppy silver insulation beneath. And the side handles aren’t long enough to touch one another, so you can’t carry the cooler with one hand.

you need both hands to hold each side handle separately. It’s actually astonishing how poorly implemented this design is. The company cannot possibly have performed any real-world user testing before foisting it upon the public.

Aside from all that. it holds 60 quarts and it keeps things cold, as advertised. But there are a lot of more practical coolers that do the same, for less money.

So I searched long and hard for a great bag to take to the lake. This bag in particular checked off all the boxes so off course I was excited to try it out. There are some things to really like about this bag so I’ll start there.

1: it has a large capacity! Even for 8 people for a whole day at the lake! 2: Holds ice and stays cool for a full day of fun! 3: plenty of extra storage 4: collapses to a manageable size for Storage which is great for traveling.

5: the easy access door ontop works great Now for what I don’t like which unfortunately will keep me from ever purchasing another one or recommending this one to anyone. 1: The dolly handle doesn’t lock in place VERRY well or at all when fully extended.

If you have to push instead of pull, you are out of luck. The handle will just collapse on you. 2: there is only one strap to secure the cooler to the dolly. It’s almost impossible to keep the bag on the dolly while transiting.

The bag continously falls off. 3: Number 2 makes I VERRY difficult for kids to use it so don’t expect to ask them for help. My daughter just gave up… 4: the base of the dolly just doesn’t stay extended well.

This adds to its difficulty of use. 5: because the bag doesn’t secure well, this has no use for off sidewalk applications. All in all just about every cooler made for fills all of my pros for this cooler but that’s not why I bought this cooler.

I bought it because it’s a wheeled cooler and it’s compact and light. The one thing that makes this cooler special is the one thing it absolutely fails at. Finale conclusion, it’s not worth it price so dont waste your money.

I bought this cooler to take to pickleball events and tournaments and it’s awesome. Super large capacity while still being small and light and the easy access to door is awesome as you don’t have to keep unzipping the top…makes everything simple.

The trolley is great and very clever. I read the review below about the cooler not staying on the trolley. I haven’t had that problem at all. For tournaments, I load this up and carry my tourney bag on top of it.

It’s perfect and makes life easy.

I was looking for a cooler that was relatively large (for camping) but also had wheels; because I often find myself having to haul my cooler a pretty significant distance from camp sites or parking spaces.

There’s a few that fit that bill but this one caught my eye for a few reasons in the store. 1. The plastic seems like a higher quality. It’s not flimsy at all (sans the handle and I’ll get to that). The actual cooler is very solid feeling, the plastic latches are better than most in this price range.

2. The fact that it had latches was a huge selling point. Many in this range simply rely on friction to keep closed. Having latches (with metal hinges) to lock the lid is great. 3. The seal as you close it seems really good.

You can hear air sucking in or out when you open/close the lid. So it has a really nice seal for being plastic on plastic; which for a cooler is a good thing. 4. Tons of room inside without a lot of wasted space.

So, the only real big complaint I have so far is that the handle (while seemingly sturdy) does have a little flex in it at the joints. But that’s a rather minor complaint. It doesn’t seem like it will break, I just think they could have beefed those up a bit more to match the rest of the unit.

There is a plastic (fixed) handle on that side as well, so you are able to carry it like a normal cooler without wheels. I really just like the cooler. I’m not expecting it to be a top of the line unit.

We are now on our second cooler like this. So, that tells you something. For a cheap, rolling cooler it does a great job. The lid is kind of cheap compared to the body, and that’s what keeps it from being a 5 star, but ice retention is pretty good.

We fill it up with room temp drinks and gatorades, then put fruit and lunchables etc. in it before filling with ice. It’ll usually hold ice for the travel ball tournament weekend. I know that’s only a couple days, but we also take none of the steps to prep the cooler that allows for the 5-7 day ice retention.

That requires cooling the inside with ice, then putting already refridgerated drinks and snacks in it. So I never expected the best retention. We also have a terrible food and drink to ice ratio. I think the ratings are pretty spot on.

It’s not a yeti cooler but for the price it is a much better quality than most. I’d recommend for sure!.

First and foremost, this was the cheapest cooler I could find on any site with the reviews it had so I took a chance. I go car camping a lot but I have always used other peoples coolers and never owned one myself.

This one is a lot lighter than I thought which was equally good and bad, I was worried about its ability but let me tell you how unfounded my worries were. I put a large and small bag of ice (about 24 lbs) in the cooler at 2pm on Saturday and camped in 88 degree weather.

I wanted to test it, and for two days it sat outside directly in the sun. It is now Monday night and there is still ice. Is it mostly melted? Yes. Is it still pretty cold? Also yes. For the price I could not have asked for anything else, I feel like I got a much better cooler than what I paid for.

I did a ton of research before making this purchase since I am not normally one to spend this kind of money on a cooler. This year my wife and I decided to splurge on a Mother’s/Father’s Day gift for ourselves.

Ultimately, the RovR 60 won out because of the pneumatic wheels, strong metal handle, large dry compartment, lid tote, and over all looks. We have been using the cooler for a few weeks now and are very happy with our purchase.

We spend most weekends boating on our pontoon boat, and this cooler has been a welcome addition and a real head turner. So many people have commented on what a nice cooler it is and asked where we found it.

We have not gotten a true test of the ice retention due to the fact that the cooler is open almost as much as it is closed because of the number of people grabbing drinks and food. However, we always have cold beverages and some ice left after a 8 hour day on the lake with the cooler baking in the sun on the boat.

My only caution would be the weight of the cooler when full. plan ahead and team lift. The cooler itself is heavy at around 40 pounds empty and then with the addition of beverages, food, and ice it gets heavy quick.

I am able to pick it up into the truck by myself but it is a bit awkward due to the size of the cooler. I have found it much easier to navigate our porch stairs and lifting into the truck when someone is there to help.

Once on the ground the wheels make moving around very effortless. Overall a great cooler and would recommend.

Finally got a chance to test out our new RovR cooler this past weekend for a camping trip and we couldn’t be more pleased with our purchase! The deep freeze dry bin is such a nice feature to have and holds a lot more than you’d think.

We were very impressed with the ice retention as it was a hot weekend. The wagon bin is also an awesome addition and is more useful than we anticipated. We love the big wheels and it’s super easy to roll.

The people we were camping with had a couple of Igloo coolers and our first night raccoons got into their coolers and ate almost all their food!!! Our RovR was also out overnight and we didn’t have any raccoon problems at all.

They didn’t stand a chance against the RovR. Can’t wait for more opportunities to use our awesome new cooler. Never thought I’d be so excited about a cooler but I just love it!.

Have had this cooler on only a few outings, but feel like it’s been in enough different situations to go ahead and review it. For starters, the cooler was missing an end cap for 1 of the hinges. After a couple emails and pictures later to Rovr, they sent me the 1 I needed and a couple extra! 1st impressions; the cooler seems well built in pretty much every aspect.

It rolls around very easily; probably better than what you would expect by looking at it, only thing I have found is that it can get a bit tippy feeling (Tip over backwards) if you pick the front of it up too far to go over certain obstacles.

Just being careful in those situations can probably prevent any actual tip overs. The handle to pull it seems to work very well, you can stand off to either side and pull even a completely full cooler with 1 hand without much trouble.

I did put 2 little 3M stick on rubber bumpers where the handle makes contact with the cooler when you let go of it. The other stuff that to me seems to be a personal preference that a lot of people differ on is the handles to pick it up, and the latches for the lid.

I have used both fixed and rope handles and both have their place, however, this cooler has wheels and the chances of you picking it up for anything other than to load it are slim. This brings me to my next point; this cooler, like every other rotomolded cooler I’ve ever picked up is heavy, which is exactly why we looked for 1 with wheels! The lid latches are fine with me, although I’m not real picky when it comes to that.

I’ve used several different styles and never found one I was really unhappy with. The dry bin seems to work very well, and again, is probably a matter of preference over basket style coolers. We have used it with ice in it as well to seperate different foods without having to dig through the whole cooler.

It also doesn’t seem to affect the ability of the cooler to drain water quickly. Speaking of the drain, again, personal preference for everyone. I’ve used coolers with an attached “Wire” etc on the plug, and while that can come in handy, with the Rovr you don’t really need to take the plug all the way out the way it is designed.

Performance; I’ve used this cooler a few different times now on weekend trips. There was always a Yeti or Grizzly on the same trips we had our Rovr. Every trip has been hot every day (Upper 80’s to mid 90’s), so the only differences has been the amount of shade the cooler was in and amount of ice we put in it.

Twice it has been just kind of out in the open, probably shaded at times, but most likely in the direct sun for several hrs for a couple days. The 1st time it was completely full of ice, probably close to 30 lbs.

It was opened several times throughout the daytime and a lot in the evenings. At the end of the weekend, there was probably close to 10 lbs of ice left. The second time we only put a 20 lb bag of ice in, and I would say that it was opened a very similar amount to the other weekend.

There was maybe 3 lbs of ice left. The Yeti that was there at the same time, and not opened nearly as much might have had 5 lbs left on the 1st weekend, and was nothing but water on the second. The other trip the cooler had right at 25 lbs of ice in it, it was in the shade 95% of the time, and was opened about half a much.

When we got home, there was probably still 15 lbs of ice left. The Grizzly that was on this trip and in shade as well needed more ice on Saturday afternoon after being packed since Friday morning. At no point before my purchase did I think this cooler was going to hold ice for 7-10 days in 90 degree heat, sitting in the sun, and being opened 20-25 times a day.

But it does perform as well or even slightly better than a couple other brands of rotomolded coolers, and our 1 trip with it in the shade and not being opened as much proves that it can hold ice significantly longer if you do those things.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this cooler.

I had an Igloo Marine w/wheels that lasted around 17-18 years, so when it died I decided to get another Igloo chest. I chose the Trailmate Journey 70 Qt and have had it for about a week. Pros: I decided to test the 4 day stays cold claim.

I pre-chilled it for a couple of hours then added 30 lbs of ice nuggets and various canned and bottled drinks. The chest was stored in an area for 4 days at a temperature range of 80-110 degrees F. The ice was almost all melted at the 3 day mark, but the remaining drinks were still ice cold.

At the 4 day mark, nothing but water left, and it was cool not cold. Based on the temp it was kept in, I would say this chest works very well. The width of the wheels works well for pulling it in sand.

Cons: It came from Igloo marred. One side was scuffed on the shiny black part in several places and there was some type of glue residue on the grip of the telescoping handle that cannot be removed without damaging the grip.

For me, not a deal breaker, but I paid for a brand new product at almost $300, it should have been in pristine condition. Deducted a star from the review rating. In conclusion, this chest works as stated for what I will use it for.

Packaging/processing at the factory/warehouse, at least for the chest I bought, was a little sub-standard.

Bought this cooler for weekends at the softball fields. It was close to 90 degrees all weekend in its maiden voyage and I only had to buy one bag of ice! The usefulness of all the its features can NOT be over stated.

Here are the Pros: – The included basket was perfect for keeping fruits cool for in between snacks. – The handle tray provided a nice table for making sandwiches and included two additional drink holders.

-The two bottle openers served their purpose after the tournament was over ;). – The rubber wheels made it easier and quieter to pull across the parking lot and around the complex. – The exterior dry storage was good for storing keys, wallets and ibuprofen.

– The pocket on the side was handy for keeping the sunscreen handy with room to spare. Con – My only con was that I’m having trouble finding a bungee cord that will work to secure my chair to the top.

This cooler stood up to the test! I was hesitant because of the cost, but there was a sale so i splurged and bought this one and a second smaller one for our camping trips. I always have one strictly for food/meals and one for everything else.

This cooler was the “everything else” cooler, which meant it got opened a lot and opened (and not always closed properly) by children. We went on a 5 day trip and i didnt have to buy ice at all. There were still lots of ice chunks by the time we went home.

Granted, the way i pack coolers is by getting a case of water bottles and freezing them solid before our trip. multipurpose ice if you will. and the bottles that I lined the bottom of the cooler with were still darn near frozen solid when we came home.

And thats without me pre-cooling the cooler like recommended. I love the large wheels and the large handle for extra leverage also! A++ in this mom’s opinion!.

This cooler keeps Ice for days. It is much cheaper and lighter than the heavy duty 8 day coolers, but it keeps ice for several days if you pre-cool it, and don’t put warm cans in it. I’ve had it for a couple of years now, and the wheels are just fine.

The handle does stick (4 stars instead of 5), but if you play with it, you can get it to go up and down. I use it more often than my much more expensive heavy built coolers because it is very handy, easy to move, and I don’t always need a bear proof 8 day cooler.

I use this cooler for the beach, camping, and for those summer nights when we’re having dinner in the back yard. Most frustrating are the handles. After about a year of use the handle becomes impossible to pop in/out of the cooler.

To wheel it around when it’s full, I have to basically kick the cooler back and hold it at a low angle otherwise it’s just going to go back to its upright position. not to mention the handle wobbles a lot as I’m wheeling a full cooler.

The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because the cooler performance itself is decent. Over 3 days of camping in hot weather, the cooler did manage to retain about a third of a 20-lb bag of ice (I did try and keep it in the shade when the sun was at its hottest).

TLDR; a solid cooler that’ll perform on a hot day at the beach or a long weekend out in the woods. My personal preferences for a cooler are wheels, handle, and small enough for me to be able to lift (on my own) when full.

This checks all of the boxes. Fits enough food and drink for two people for an entire camp weekend plus more if you’re a pro packer. I appreciate that the lid is recessed and doesn’t force you to level out the contents of the cooler.

In my experience when left in the sun with outdoor temp of 80+F, ice will melt completely within 8 hrs. But in shade and cooler temps, ice will last days.

This cooler has stood the test of time in several ways and does a good job of keeping picnic dinners cold for the day. The problem is the hinges on the cover did not last at all and don’t seem to be repairable.

It’s annoying when the lid does not stay on now. Otherwise the product has been fine, so it’s hard to justify replacing it.

I bought this cooler to replace one that I’ve had for at least 10 years after the handle broke. I wanted to replace it with the exact same kind but i couldn’t find one in my area stores (Walmart, Academy, etc.

) so I ordered it online through Walmart. Got free shipping and 2 day delivery. It literally came the next day and in perfect condition. Hopefully will have this one for the next 10 years! Great cooler!.

I purchased this for a comb case to sterilize/sanitize hair combs. It holds several, works well, and keeps the alcohol-based sterilizing compound from evaporating too quickly. The case keeps my lavatory sink area looking neat.

It would be better with a more secure clasp and more colors would be an improvement. I definitely would buy it again.

My girlfriend bought this cooler about a month ago for a camping trip. We had two coolers in total. This brand new igloo and a 10-year-old rubbermaid. In the two and a half hours we drove from Massachusetts to Maine the igloo cooler was half melted.

The Rubbermaid still had ice all the way to the top. Over the course of two days I put an additional 20 lb of ice in and by the time we left it was nothing but water. A week later I went to another event where I needed a cooler and I just used an old styrofoam one.

It worked a thousand times better. Do not waste your money on this piece of garbage.

Does igloo even have design engineers? We bought this to replace a nothing special Coleman of the same size that we loved and had for more than ten years (the hinges wore out). This thing is junk. It does not keep ice for more than 8 hours – the five day claim on the label must be like, “when used for ice fishing.

” The handle may reduce force for wheeling it around but the angle means that at my 5’8” height I have to bend awkwardly to pull it and forget having my husband do it at all. Worst of all is the crappy molded handle that got not a single look from any designer or ergonomics engineer who has ever used a cooler.

The top is molded solid, which is fine, but it’s not the part that carries the weight when you are pulling it. That is left to the super crappy molded/scaffolded bottom part that someone thought they could save on materials with because you don’t see it, but instead it digs into your hand painfully when pulling a loaded cooler more than 10 ft.

Save your money, buy something better.

I bought this 5 days ago after researching for 2 weeks how to travel with frozen breast milk. We drove to North Carolina with our infant so it took 13hours instead of the usual 9 hours. I heard this cooler was the best at keeping liquids frozen so I followed all of the recommendations plus a bit extra.

First I lined the inside with aluminum foil, then I placed a frozen gel pack at the bottom of the yeti hopper 8 and filled it with as many frozen breast milk bags that I could. I placed another frozen gel pack on the top of the milk bags.

Any gaps were filled with aluminum foil to reduce air. I then closed zipper and taped the zipper to protect from any air flow. After taping the zipper I placed the packed yeti in my freezer for 32 hours prior to driving.

For extra measure I placed the yeti in an igloo cooler and added ice. I placed the yeti cooler in a plastic bag so that it wouldn’t get wet. Let me tell you, we were delayed due to inclement weather but when we arrived at our destination my breast milk was still frozen solid! I highly recommend this cooler for any traveling mother who exclusively feeds their baby breast milk and is afraid to spoil milk.

My only regret is not buying the 12 for more storage. I’m absolutely satisfied.

I work on an ambulance and fire trucks. Sometimes 12+ hour shifts on the ambulance. The contents stay cool and but not always but sometimes cold using YETI ICE. The yeti ice keeps things cold and organized and that’s huge bouncing around in the rigs.

I figured I’d get it because I may or may not eat what I brought for lunch depending on what the day brings and if I ate lunch other than what I brought I didn’t want the food to go bad. I love the size and durability but wish I didn’t have to order a pouch for keeping things outside.

The top acts like a nice platform to eat on or table top when I want to set something on it and the lip of the lid holds things nicely. All in all I love clipping a (yeti) water bottle, Keys, coat/sweater to the lunchbox/cooler, heading Into work and counting on it to hold up time after time.

I could certainly see some other brands failing at holding up. The price is wicked high but if it stands up to years of abuse and keeps my food from going bad after a long day I’m going to be glad I bought it in the long run.

If you are going to use it daily it’s worth it!.

True to Yeti form, this little cooler is built like a ton of bricks and does a great job of making sure that the contents stay cold and isolated from external conditions. The shoulder strap and handle make it very easy to carry.

There are 2 things to keep in mind: 1) Just like any Yeti soft cooler, the zipper is quite stiff. It will loosen up a bit over time, but this just takes some getting used to if you’re not familiar with their products.

2) The lid will close on its own if you let go of it. This may be slightly inconvenient when loading, but it does ensure that you don’t inadvertently forget to close it and let everything get warm. With those caveats aside, this is definitely the best performing small soft cooler I’ve ever used.

And it’s just the perfect size for a 6-pack or hearty lunch.

Love the bag, nice and roomy and easy to assemble. Handle slips a little, wish it locked into place. Easy open top great for just grabbing things without fully opening. Moves along easily with the wheels.

Bottom rack the bag sits on is tricky and slides back a lot. Might have to attach that to the bag with a twist tie. Otherwise it’s just what I was looking for.

Love the compartments and being able to clean the detachable inside layer. Would love it more if the roller handle would lock in place better, that’s my biggest take away. The easy access compartment at the top is great for when you have drinks on the cup holders.

Saves a lot of space when folded up.

We have absolutely loved this cooler. It seems like the designers thought of everything. Love that it is collapsible for storage and you can remove it from the roller if desired. We used it camping for 4 days and didn’t have to put more ice in it until the 4th day.

Also really like the easy access door on the top. Couldn’t be happier with this and the price makes it even better.
