20 Best Soccer Shoes For Youth (2023 Updated)

Purchased a youth size 3 for a 7 year old to play tackle football. This was the 2nd pair of cleats purchased, because the first pair (not this cleat) being laces and very narrow, were “too tight” and hurt his feet.

His a big little dude and these cleats gave his feet more room. Not having to worry about shoe laces during practice or the game, for him and myself (since parents aren’t allowed on the field during games) is great! This cleat was also available in black, but he chose the white ones.

I bought these shoes a week ago. My son practiced in them 4 times. On the 4th practice wearing them it was raining. Not a downpour, but raining. He can straight home after practice and left the shoes in the shoe tray in our home.

Less than 24 hours later there was an incredibly strong odor that smelled like cat urine. We do not have cats. I’ve tried everything to get the smell out without success. If your child will be sweating or possibly get caught in a light rain shower at any point with these shoes on; I would not recommend purchasing them.

4 days. That’s all we got. Garbage.

My son is in his second year of football and this is the second plying I bought these for him. He likes how they are easy to put on and how secure they wrap around his ankles. Would recommend these to any parents looking for some good cleats.

My daughter picked these out for the bright pink color but they are good solid cleats too. I try not to spend a bunch of money on sports equipment when the kids outgrow everything so fast so I try to find stuff that will last a whole season and perform decent while not costing too much.

These are pretty decent quality at a discount price and will get her through the season I’m sure.

The cleats were great! However my daughter wore them out after we paid. She accidentally fell and we put the box on a counter which contained her school shoes. And the store threw them out by the time we came back to look for them.

Bought these for my daughter who has a slightly wider foot. These fit her excellent and we are still able to tie them tight without them hurting her foot. The bright pink is very vibrant and I can find her easily out on the field.

I bought a pair of football boots for my nephew for his 8th birthday. The Rebel Sport staff member was very helpful with a size guide. The boots fitted perfectly and the receipient was thrilled with them and is now endlessly kicking his football in the backyard with them on.

Bought our son his first football boots. He was overly excited to start using them and they’ve been great. They’re so cute and more importantly, they hurt his feet at all so they must be very comfortable.

My son needed new cleats halfway through the season. Our selection was limited since the stock was picked-over and I didn’t want to spend $100+ on cleats. He has been very happy with them. He didn’t even break them in –just started wearing them like old cleats–and didn’t get any blisters.

I bought these for my daughter. These are the only pair of cleats that has not given her heel pain! They are comfortable and true to size.

This look cool, according to my nine year old son. Fit perfectly and work well on astro and grass pitches. Good quality, would definitely buy again.

As a bartender, I found myself wearing these every day because they are great as non-slip shoes as well. I couldn’t recommend them more. Thankful for these shoes :).

I bought these boots for my Daughter. These are her first ever pair of football boots they are narrow and a snug fit like most Nike foot-ware however we knew this prior to purchasing from other Nike products she owns.

Good quality boots that look like they should last a regular season if and when it can resume. She uses them at least 2 times a week for self training whilst at home and loves them. One pleased future England Star.

The Nike Mercurial Superfly 8’s are one of the best soccer cleats I’ve ever tried. I played in the grass, and these cleats make it feel like you are walking on solid ground. I have always struggled to fit my feet into soccer cleats, and this was no exception.

The length is true to size, but the width is pretty narrow and will require you to loosen the deep lacing quite a bit before putting it on or taking it off. I played for over an hour and felt comfortable making quick cuts, dribbling, and shooting.

The shoe is well made and has a unique design that highlights the key areas to contact the ball. I love the flyknit top since it keeps my feet cool, but this design with short laces means they will come undone frequently.

My favorite feature is the plate on the side and bottom, making passing and dribbling more responsive. However, this same plate makes these cleats feel a little heavier (a sacrifice I’m willing to make given their performance).

Overall, the mercurial superfly 8’s provide the right balance of flexibility and rigidness. These cleats give you an incredibly responsive touch, improve your ball control, and are very comfortable: which is all you could ask.

I’m all about speed, quickness, and explosiveness. With these cleats, all that is possible with the lightweight material and structured, molded spikes. It literally feels like you only have socks on.

I love the sleek design of these cleats. The cleats are very narrow, but not too narrow that it makes your feet uncomfortable. I also still have room for my toes; they aren’t crushed at the end of the cleat.

Even though the material is thin and super lightweight, you can still feel that the fabric is strong and can still take a beating. Another plus about these cleats are the small laces. They won’t interfere when dribbling or taking a shot at the goal! Although, the cleats have very minimal ankle support, the “sock” that surrounds the ankle is very strong and thick.

I would recommend these cleats to an athlete that is light on their feet, fast, and can make quick cuts.

I bought this to replace my son’s size 12 boots. This is his third pair of these boots, the previous ones being black and then blue. They are great as they don’t have lasses so when he’s playing he doesn’t need to constantly get his lasses tied up.

I would definitely recommend.

Bought these for son. He LOVES them. The velcro and over lapping tongue make them really asybto get on and secure tightly and equally as easy to get off. Great first pair of football boots

Bought for my 5 year old son who loves them. They look red in the pictures but are more of a fluorescent redish pink, like on this seasons liverpool third kit (black). So he’s made up they go well with his kits and theyre comfy.

Our newly turned 3yo was starting a soccer program and we wanted him to have something that he could play in that were not cleats. The market is slim for size 8/9 toddler soccer shoes, and even more slim for “proper” soccer shoes when Dad is a lifelong soccer player also.

After trying a few types, we settled on these Samba Classic shoes and they have been perfect. At first we were hesitant about tie shoes because I didn’t want to re-tie every five minutes. The sizing was spot on to his foot measurement, the insoles come out to continue monitoring his foot growth, they have kept his feet dry and sturdy during his soccer sessions, and most importantly they haven’t come untied once! Will absolutely be ordering up through the sizes in these shoes until he is old enough to wear cleats outdoors.

I have been purchasing the shoes at least once a year for the past four years. These sneakers are made well. They are wide and comfortable for the kids to wear with thick soccer socks. They don’t wear out or break apart from the outside in like most sneakers do, but the only rip they have is from the inside linen and that’s because they wear it EVERY DAY.

Will continue to buy these as long as possible because my boys will tear and rip any other brand sneakers, specially the front part but these Sambas are unbreakable.

I got sent a display shoe, it was lighter colored in the toe and you could tell it had been tried on a lot. The glue around the shoe was popping off the leather. I’m super disappointed considering no one will get in contact with me from customer service.

I’ve never had adidas’s do this to me. I’ve been ordering them from adidas for years! Shame on y’all at Dicks.

They look lovely. Had them personalised so my son loves them. They have lots of padding/support around the heel area which my son found really uncomfortable the first few times he wore them. Now it has settled down he finds them very comfortable, would definitely buy them again.

Did find they came up slightly smaller than all his other boots/trainers so would recommend getting a bigger size.

Purchased as a gift for my grandson. He was thrilled with the colours and ideal for playing on Astro turf. He has always had problems with laces coming undone on his boots, so these have like an elasticated sock round the top of the boot, plus laces.

I purchased these for my 10 year old grandson. I had them personalised with his name and the Portugal flag because he is a big fan of Ronaldo. They came really quickly. He is absolutely delighted with them.

I got this backpack for my teenage son. He is going into Jr high and will have much more to carry than he did in middle school. This backpack is very well made. There are side mesh pockets to hold his water bottle.

Plenty of room to carry his necessities. The handle at the top is perfect when he just wants to grab his backpack and go. The straps fit him better than his pack last year. He loves it plus it’s Levi’s brand.

I super super love my new Levi’s back pack alot! Theres tons of pockets and spool much space! I love that theres a pocket for my laptop as well! The fabric is really nice and durable and the straps are really comfortable they dont hurt my back when I have alot of stuff in it like other back packs do.

There’s plenty of room for all of my stuff! All together its a great back pack that I use on an everyday basis!.

Backpack is very bright and looks great, has a very sleek design. There is one outer pocket on the front, and a half hidden compartment on the back that is padded and would work for a laptop. Inside it has the main compartment as well as a few mesh pockets, one of which has a zipper as well.

I feel the backpack could hold a decent amount of items, and the make on it seems fairly sturdy as well.

This was the perfect cleat for my 5 year old daughter trying out soccer for the first time. Did not want to purchase something expensive and this was a fair price for the quality. Size and comfort was just right.

I bought these for my 6 year old for field hockey. She loves the colors and the fit, and I love that they seem sturdy enough to last and that they seem to have good ankle support when combined with her shin guards.

I love that the insole has a sizing guide on it and comes out of the cleats to make sure it is the right fit! Well made, light weight, good fit. The sizing seems accurate and the price was great!

Was really skeptical/optimistic when buying these, most I’ve ever paid for a pair of boots and wasn’t sure whether it was going to pay off, especially being under armour which me nor anyone around my team has tried yet.

But absolutely love them, they wrap round your feet perfect and cushion the ball nicely. Light weight and wear/soften quickly so you can hit the ground running. Only had them couple weeks now so unsure yet to the lifetime of the product.

But so so far hands down the best pair of boots I’ve bought. Buzzing.

I love my hunter boots. I had a green pair but my daughter wore them more than I did so I got a black pair I wear whenever it’s rainy. Stylish and great quality. I usually wear a 5. 5 in dress shoes and a 6 in sneakers, a 5 in these boots fits perfect.

If there was only one pair of shoes I had to use for everything I do at the gym it would be a pair of Metcons. I’m now on my 3rd pair and have been buying them since the first gens came out. Great fit, comfy, they last for a long time and they are versatile enough to be used for just about* anything you will do in a gym or a crossfit box.

*For a crossfit style squat or clean workout these are fantastic with or without the heel insert. Unfortunately the same is absolutely not true for more focused and heavy leg or posterior chain work.

The removable insole is easily squished by ones fingers, and the inserts that go under it are barely any harder. This means the shoes will provide more of an angled cushion than angled platform which makes them poorly suited to even moderately heavy loads.

I haven’t experimented with where exactly the “line” seems to be, but if I had to guess I would say if its too much more than “WOD Weight” the change in ankle angle may not be worth the trade off in stability.

Summary: For most people I cannot recommend these highly enough. Anyone hoping to only need one pair of shoes for their Powerlifting is going to be disappointed. The insert is a nice idea, but its far too soft.

I still keep a pair of hard sole squat shoes around for leg days, but for everything else I do i’m wearing a pair of these.

I have owned almost every pair of metcons. yet, they all have some and more heal play mostly 3s and now 6s prolly the worst some play in the 5. Reading a few other reviews this seems to be not just me.

Pros: They very nice looking, stylish clean design. The foam inserts are very well made and engineered to handle the weight and more on the ball of your foot while tapering to lighter texture in the toe box.

The exterior is very robust and rubber is soft high grip. Your feet can breath like no other since its very thin and covered in mesh. Great shoe if you have wide feet. Comes with optional 8mm heel Insert which can be great for squats.

Uses mostly indoor gyms and squat racks, tread running. Cons: Price is pretty high for what your getting. Shoe is literally thin mesh in the toe box. The shoe is very stiff 3/4 the way to the toe box while making the hinge point very loose can be a bad thing applying a lot of pressure to areas front of the foot.

Heal slip is a big problem may or may not be how stiff the rear of the shoe is. Probably not a great outdoor shoe as I can see small rocks getting in the mesh and definitely nothing wet. Metcons life with most use indoors last about a year with little outdoor use.

Overall It’s a decent indoor shoe that looks stylish and somewhat practical. Most likely get the same if not better results out of a $40 pair of chucks.

I do not know why they changed the original MC Highlight to these! These have NO ankle support! It’s basically like a stretchy sock fabric that is hard to get on! Also the heel has extra room even though the toe fit fine & does not sit on the foot like it should.

Very uncomfortable and offer no support. Please go back to the originals.

My daughter has had these cleats for going on 2. 5 years now. When she finally needed a new pair, she didn’t even want to consider a different pair. Durable, lightweight, comfortable and plenty of ankle support.

She’s a fan! Well worth the cost because did I mention her first pair lasted over 2 years??!!!.

I’ve owned these cleats for 3 weeks and today the whole side of them blew out causing ankle injury. A cleat should be able to withstand a FULL season with no problem. I’ve had my fair share of football cleats and these ones are by far the worst I’ve ever spent my money on.

Just a piece of advice do not buy waste of money and time.

Bought these online in a last minute rush to find a second pair of back up cleats for my 6 year old. Since these have arrived he has worn these more often than his more expensive UA pair. He says they’re more comfortable & feels like he has better control of the ball.

If his feet didn’t gorw, these cleats would last many seasons! Nike is always my go-to brand for athletic cleats for my younger kids!.

I was looking for a great soccer cleat for my 2 year old at a great price. This shoe is just what I was looking for. My daughter loves the neon pink color. She normally wears a size 9 shoe, but we ordered a 10.

With soccer socks this cleat will fit perfect. Saw this same shoe at a department store for $20 and so glad Academy had them for $9. 99.

I’m very happy with this product. My son has skinny feet and they fit snuggly. Also it’s a very good quality item. My son has used the exact same shoes for more than a year and they still look good. I just bought him this new pair because he’s outgrown the other ones.
