20 Best Soccer Cleats For Women (2023 Updated)

My 12 year old daughter & I made a quick run to Academy Sports to get some new cleats for soccer, as her coach stated she couldn’t use her current cleats during games. It was about 30 minutes before closing & the available sizes to try on were scarce.

A representative asked if we were finding everything we needed & stated they could order the correct size online. As the store was closing, they processed the order. The shoes came in ~ 2 days. However, they had ordered the size we requested in a Mens size.

The staff were understanding & allowed us to return the shoes & reordered a new pair in a Women’s size. Now being close to the weekend, she didn’t get her shoes until the following week. When the new pair arrived, they fit great! Besides the mixup during the ordering & the delay, everything was great! Customer service was polite & her new cleats made a big difference on the field!.

Bought a pair of these at a Dicks store and unfortunately my son didn’t try both shoes on when we were there. Took them home and found both shoes were right ones. Same insole, same curve. Ok, our fault.

Bought a pair online and they came exactly the same – two right feet. Either I’m very unlucky or these are just badly designed shoes. Very much not recommended. Unless you have 2 right feet of course in which case they’re perfect.

Great for my son who has slightly wide and flat feet. Cleats are always difficult for him. Prior to going to the store and purchasing these, we ordered a different brand originally but when they came in they were too tight on hit feet, cutting off circulation.

He immediately liked these shoes and the price was great. So thankful for being able to have a local option so he can try them on instead of having to order a bunch in search of a good fit for kids with still growing feet.

I really liked these cleats except it took me almost 10 minutes to put both cleats on every time I wore them, even after several wears. It never got easier. Also the skin of the cleats itself started to bubble up and peel off and they looked brown and discolored over a short amount of time which was a huge let down.

Other than those two issues the cleats were very snug and comfortable and never had any other issues.

I bought these to replace my old predator boots (with mi tracker) which were falling apart. After several training sessions and a pickup game I have to say I really like the support they give with little to no rubbing to avoid those break-in blisters.

I’m not used to such a light boot, so there has been some getting used to where my foot should be when receiving a pass. (My foot is usually too high, but getting better after adjusting to the weight.

The only issue I had was the studs are in a different orientation to what I’m used to. I could definitely tell new muscles and tendons on the bottom of my foot were being activated. After the first training session I could barely walk, but I’ve been wearing them around the house once the quarantine started and its been helpful stretching those muscles and tendons.

I’m not in a league and so this transition to new boots isn’t crucial, but for those on a club or rec team, I would suggest allowing several weeks of adjusting and breaking them in before wearing them in a game.

Still very good quality and I would recommend for those who want a precise touch and quick lateral movement.

Purchased a half size up after reading several reviews. Takes a little practice putting them on if switching from laced shoes, but they have a great snug fit and feel good on the ball according to my son.

I could tell this was a well-made boot. The leather felt very nice and it felt like these shoes would last for a long time. However, it is a longer boot and there was too much room in the toe box for me, it might have fit better if I had gone a half size down, but no idea how narrow that would have felt.

Secondly, the heel felt high and was hard on my feet and knees. Finally, the rubber studs are pretty aggressive and I didn’t like how high they felt on turf. Once I actually rolled my ankle which kind of scared me away from them.

Ultimately the Nike Premier III turf worked a lot better for me, so if you are comparing the two I personally recommend that.

This is just a gorgeous, classic soccer boot that combines fit and function perfectly. We purchased these for our young, budding player for use on dry/patchy grass in addition to turf and the extra studs make a big difference on poor fields.

We also purchased these for our veteran youth player for use on artificial surfaces that aren’t meant for soccer, e. g. , multi-use fields that don’t have true fake “grass”, and therefore firm ground boots either catch or slip, depending on the quality.

I couldn’t recommend these highly enough.

I ordered these shoes for my daughter, who plays college Ultimate, because her feet are on the wider side and in one of the reviews the purchaser thought the shoes were really in a man’s size because of the width.

The thing is, I didn’t want to order her actual men’s shoes because they’re made completely different than women’s. I just wanted wider, but not a true wide. If you have this problem, you know what I’m talking about.

Many soccer shoes are very narrow, but claim to be regular/medium width. My daughter normally wears a women’s 5. 5 – 6 in street shoes and the 6. 5 fit her perfectly. Use the sizing chart! Her old shoes were so bad, she lost her big toe nails, but the first game she played with these shoes, she said she actually had to look down because these were so comfortable, she wasn’t sure she was wearing anything.

She had her best game because she wasn’t limping around or trying to deal with the pain of an ill-fitting shoe. The price is extremely reasonable for real leather and the quality it top-notch. I think these will last her the next three years, but if they don’t, I’ll be looking for another pair that are exactly the same.

I’m an adult recreational player, and a travel soccer coach. I’m in cleats nearly every day. After years in the apparently discontinued Adidas Gloro 16. 1s, I thought these might be a good replacement.

The styling isn’t as cl**censored**ic as the 16. 1s, but at least they’re not too flashy. I’m not a big fan of the elastic strap; everything elastic I own eventually breaks down, and this elastic is literally under foot, but maybe football boots have a short enough life this wouldn’t be a problem.

But that’s not why I’m returning these. Instead, the back of these dug into my achilles and scratched away the skin after just one backyard practice and a game of pickup. They were otherwise snug and comfortable.

Absolutely fantastic boot. fits like a glove for someone whom has a wider foot. when striking the ball it is a very comfortable, precise boot to have. easy to clean and take care if done right and the longevity is top notch when taken care of.

These are shaped to stay on my son’s narrower heels so we have been replacing them every half size as he grows. But now that he’s not growing quite as fast the soles are separating from the shoe before he grows out of them.

Not happy about that!.

UA shoes run small however the cleats were really cool looking with vibrant color and serm to be well made. Shipping was quick. Had to return too small.

This boot feels a little more snug than the Superfly 6 (didn’t get a chance to wear the 7). They’re not uncomfortable, but definitely don’t feel as sock-like as the Superfly 6 and 5. In terms of thickness, it reminds me of the Vapor 11’s, but it feels more plastic-y than the prior versions of the Superfly that I’ve owned.

Stud pattern remains aggressive and traction is great, and I really like that they connected the front and back parts of the sole plate rather than keep it split like the Superly 6 and 7 — it just feels a little more supportive.

Touch feels good, but the ball flies off the foot much like it did on the Vapor 11, which I love and that I feel the Superfly 6 missed. The biggest knock on this would be the break-in period. I feel like the Superly 6 and 5 were playable right out of the box (skipped Superfly 7), but that’s not the case for the 8’s.

First game out, these dug into my heels and gave me blisters behind my ankles (used band aids for the second game and that solved that issue), but after two full games in these, they still feel stiff.

Thus, comfort is good, as long as you like a snug fit and take precautions for your ankles. Second knock — a totally minor one — is that the plastic cover on the end of the shoelaces came off one end when I was untying my shoe.

Nike won’t offer lace replacements, so heads up on that.

I have been wearing Superrep for several years now and always keep several pairs in rotation. These sneakers are exactly what I need – comfort- cushioning and creative colors!! I box, do HIIT classes and run.

The cushioning component is critical to me and these sneakers deliver! I tried on many other sneakers that are specifically for just running but retuned all of them because nothing compares to this sneaker.

I have tried in the new model but I have to say prefer this generation. These went right into my “inventory “of Superreps in my closet. The fit of this color is exact- I’m a 9 and these are perfect (the black ones run smaller).

I’ve been wearing Nike air max since their inception ( I do miss the airmax 720) so I know what works best for me- these are a 10 star sneaker!.

Playing in a tournament that only allowed turf or indoor shoes and these ended up working out well. My son really liked playing in them for what it is worth. Size seemed run fairly true, that says his outdoor play shoes are more like a half size larger.

Great fit, style and colour! Comfortable, non inhibiting and stylish. Laceless boots are ideal for young boys football.

These cleats fit snug so you may have to get a half to full size larger than normal shoe size. I can tell you I see a difference in my kids running on the flag football field.

I was looking for the most cushioned shoe you can get. This is it. You can feel the squish right away. That comes with stability tradeoffs but if you don’t want a high stack shoe with squish, you have plenty of other choices.

So kuddos to Nike for taking cushion to the max. Given that this is the most max cushioned shoe available, my only gripe is it doesn’t take it far enough. Why not just go extreme in setting the bar? When you run in these, as opposed to walking, I wouldn’t say you feel like running on clouds or marshmallows–you still have a jolt of a foot strike and “bounce” (which I find overrated as I don’t see the point of bounce when I initially strike as opposed to energy release as I push off my foot to spring me forward).

So I guess I’m just complaining that they are a functional running shoe that offers “responsiveness”. They are as close as you can find to “moon shoes” but not really there. I’d ask Nike to just take it further.

It will be too much for many, but why not offer something just off the charts in terms of softness tailored for heel strike walking. Like if I wanted to reduce the impact on my knees and hips and even neck and head from walking or running — akin to running on a springy treadmill or rubberized track — give me an option to prevent that wear and tear.

This is the best on the market but still I think the technology is there to make it even softer, squishier, more “deflation” at the strike. Like a spring that collapses on strike and releases when you push off I suppose.

Bottom line: these are great cushion but not insane. (these fit like all Nike running shoes–run 1 size larger than Brannock).

I purchased these shoes primarily for lifestyle use though some small morning runs as well. My feet typically hurt after being on them on the job all day, so having an ultra-cushioned shoe to be able to use around town is a must for me and these check that off with flying colors.

From the first second you put your foot in this shoe it’s liking dropping into a padded trampoline for your feet and is unlike anything you’ve really tried before. For reference, I’ve had these for two weeks, done some short runs, and general everyday use.

Walking in these all day is no problem and actually encouraged me to get some extra exercise at the end of a work day when running really didn’t feel like the best option. As for running, I don’t think I had quite the same revolutionary feel others did.

A big selling point of the shoe is the ZoomX foam and the crazy amount of stack making it so comfortable. Running in a heel-strike form is where this shoe shines. Your initial impact is basically absorbed and as you rock forward there is a light spring in your step.

I wouldn’t call it ‘bouncy” like others have, but I am fairly light so compressing the foam is harder for me. However, if you are a fore/midfoot striker (like me) much of that benefit from the extra stack height is negated.

An additional side effect of the stack is some instability and some feeling of being too tall. The first few runs/walks it does feel almost like you are on stilts and need to relearn to walk/run which can be a bit awkward.

Even after getting used to it, you notice you can’t quite turn as fast or bank in these shoes without some side slippage. As a result of this instability, Nike has to have an overbuilt upper that doesn’t breath quite as well as some of their other shoes and a massive base which you stand on.

This is seen clearly is how much the midsole extends back as can be seen in the product photos. If you are wearing these as an everyday shoe for pain or purely for comfort that extension feels amazing, but it does make it difficult to drive in.

If you pivot with your foot between pedals, this surface has zero outsole as the midsole bubbles out and causes excessive wear on your driving shoe. Of course Nike doesn’t expect these to be used as a lifestyle shoe, so it’s not their fault, but if you are the type of person who enjoys the comfort provided by running shoes for everyday use, be aware that how much you drive might affect the lifespan of the shoes.

For me, I will probably be returning them for that reason. I don’t run enough to justify such a high cost on the shoe, and wearing down the driving shoe as a lifestyle pair doesn’t sit right with me.

However, if you are a heel-strike runner putting in long miles, like others have said this is probably an endgame option for you.

I’ve been eyeing this shoe for about a year, especially the volt colorway and when I went to the employee store and saw them sitting, it was a no brainer. Previously I have been running with the Nike Epic React Flyknit 2 for about a year and have finally beat them up quite a bit.

The first few runs I hated how plushy it was, definitely something to get used to at first. However, after maybe 20 miles running with the shoes I finally began to love them. They’re amazing for long runs and the plush helps tremendously, and the energy return with every stride is one of the best things about shoe.

Some cons about the shoe is that some of the rubber on the soles is starting to wear off after 65 miles with them but not enough to say that is have been affecting my runs. Also the laces are too short, which makes me not being able to tie them fully.

Luckily my size 9 fits just right and holds me in place with a little toe room in the front while still maintaining me stable on the heel. Overall, this is an amazing shoe. I would highly recommend it for anyone that would want to progress into NIke’s high tier running shoes if you’re coming from the middle tier.

The fit and feel of this pair is amazing. They adapt to your feet shape very well, and the easiest pair of football boots I’ve broken in. The design of the shoe is amazing. Light, very pleasing to the eye, and most of all…comfortable.

I played intramural league at my university for a few hours and this shoe felt so lightweight. Good pair of boots for a speedy player that sprints a lot. I love the design and also the colors, Nike is never afraid to think outside the box and they did their thing with these.

The only thing that I would change would be the lacing, but that’s minimal. You can adjust to your preference, and you will most likely not even notice.

These cleats were fantastic, felt great on foot, great color, great touch, and were honestly some of the best first-impression cleats I’ve tried. while they lasted. I got two wears out of them before the soleplate starting separating.

I went and exchanged them for a new pair aaaaand the new pair lasted a whole three wears before the whole front of the soleplate was flapping around. It’s really unfortunate because I’ve heard great things about these cleats and liked them for the few wears I got out of them, but it was such disappointing durability.

Finally, only two weeks since getting the first pair, I went in and exchanged the second broken pair for a pair of Nike cleats. Thank you to Dick’s and employees for being understanding and helpful but man, frustrating circumstances with the cleats.

Again, I want to be clear that this is a review of the product, not of Dick’s. The employees at Dick’s were wonderfully helpful and the return policies made it overall far less frustrating than it could’ve been.

This boot fits true to size. I’m a US9. 5 and it fit perfectly. It was snug but not overly so. Grip on the outsole is perfectly fine as to be expected. Previous to these boots I’ve been using a pair of very old Adidas boots made from leather but still in excellent condition as I am only a casual football player.

On comparison, I was expecting these Puma boots to somehow blow them out of the water. They didn’t. Yes, the upper is much better in fit and it is much lighter and good for speed. With my Adidas pair, the tongue would always slide to one side which was an ongoing issue.

But overall, the Puma pair, although very good, does not warrant the high price tag. I’d recommend these boots but only if you can get them at a discount.

We chose this after going through many reviews and trying on different brands and shoes. This was one a the few that the width was correct for the size for us. From reviews and the make of the shoe they seem like they will be durable.

Initially they are a little more stiff less spring then Adidas but haven’t broken them in much yet. Time will tell. Will be using for summer training and middle school and travel soccer.

My daughter plays at an elite level of soccer and goes through cleats like butter. She was running Copa’s for a couple years but was a Nike purist but they just didn’t fit until you intro’d the Tiempo Legend Elite.

She loves the shoe and has went through several pair, her comments great fit, great touch, could use a slight improvement in the drop in sock liner, thin and not very durable, goes right though it. Loves the colors and designs of you synthetic uppers but the problem with those is they either fit your foot or they don’t and not a lot of room in between.

Loves the kangaroo upper of the TLE, her only request is can you put them on the customs site? Or update colors more often in-line, loves a basic with a little pop, not an all over in your face bright kind of girl.

My daughter’s foot is a little wide so she always select the Tiempo. She likes how Nike changes the color schemes frequently. This is a perfect cleat for a Midfielder. It is really light and comfortable and the cleats are patterned in effective way.

I had the Tiempo Legend 7 Elite in a size 9. 5. It was known with the Legend 7 that you had to go half a size up from your normal size for the best fit as they ran 1/2 a size small. However, after ordering these Legend 8 in 9.

5 I was surprised to find that they fit larger than the 7s in the same size. I returned and got a size 9 instead and they fit better. With this in mind, I disagree with the other review, and would add that these actually run true to your normal soccer shoe size.

On a final note, the quality of the boots is fantastic. Soft and supple leather upper and the fit has been improved from the Legend 7.

This cleat feels great and normally I’ve been buying higher end models when it comes to cleats I decided id go with a take down model considering the price. I was actually surprised of the comfort of the cleat since I have wide feet i had no issue with any discomfort.

The only issue I have with these cleats are the laces, they keep untying a lot but that’s probably my lack of double tying them.

These are the second pair of Puma sneakers I have bought online with Myer, and I am super happy with them. I thought the first pair was comfortable, but these are amazingly comfy. Usually a size 8, I went up a size for these.

Love the shoes. The quality feels a little poor and that my toe is going to go through the shoe. The sizing is a little off as well. They’re a small make. I love the colour though.

Puma platinum runners are lightweight & comfortable. Good support when walking. Happy with my purchase looked on other websites & they were competitively priced here.

This comment is not a repeat. I purchased the Rebula 3 recently and very review that I researched said this cleat was “true to size”. 100% not the case. Unfortunately there aren’t any stores within a 100 mile radius that carried these cleats so I was unable to try on before I purchased which is why I relied on the reviews.

When I finally received the product I was extremely disappointed to say the least since the cleats were a size and a half too big. I ordered a size 12, the tag on the shoe said size 12, but they fit more like a 13 or 13.

5. What a buzz kill!! Was really looking forward to playing with them. I returned them but had to pay for shipping the item back. I realize the boots are hand made in Japan but there isn’t an excuse to making a shoe with that big of issue.

Every other cleats I’ve worn (Adidas, Nike, New Balance, Asics) are all size 12 and all fit roughly the same. How can Mizuno make such an error on the latest and most expensive soccer cleat. Felt like I was wearing clown shoes.

I grew up playing soccer my whole life and now play on rec teams once or twice a week. I have had Mizuno cleats before when I was younger, thinking nothing of it. but they make amazing quality cleats.

Since my first few pairs of Mizuno cleats 10+ years ago, so much innovation and improvements have been put into their cleats and I have never felt anything like these Neo IIIs before. You can immediately tell the difference when running full speed with how light they are and with the first few touches.

I researched how these are made to feel close to playing barefoot – they absolutely do but also provide the support you need to play, change pace, etc. I debated on getting these since they were compared with other cleats that are narrow and my past experience playing with narrow cleats.

but this fits perfectly and the leather is flexible to provide a comfortable fit. I went through the site’s perfect size finder. It recommended I order a half size smaller than what I usually wear for other shoes and was nervous about that, but it was absolutely right! It is expensive, but it is so worth it.

You will be able to justify why you are spending so much on these once you try them on the pitch. Best cleats I have ever had and probably will never buy a non-Mizuno pair again.

i’ll start by saying that i’m 16 and payed for these with all of my own money and was very skeptical about spending almost 300 on cleats. i play both club and highschool and am playing 4-6 days per week every week.

these cleats are so incredibly comfortable there’s nothing like them. 10/10 you get what you pay for. the stud plate is surprisingly aggressive which i love and i highly recommend these to anyone who’s looking into them.

i so recommend going down half a size. in nikes and adidas im between a 10. 5 and an 11 and i ordered a 10, and they fit perfectly. thank you so much mizuno, i won’t ever wear anything else.

My son commented that these cleats felt great as soon as he put them on. We usually play in the yard with no shoes on and he said they feel like cleats in his bare feet. He plays right fullback and has to be very quick and send super precise passes.

These cleats help him with that. He says they feel like an extension of himself, and the color and graphics are super cool! I would recommend them! He would too!.

This shoe is better than expected. The graphics and lettering are incredible. We have use the same brand and product line for the last few years. Always very impressed. However, they don’t last long, but when your getting 3-4 hours of touches a day I think you should expect it.

Love that this quality of a cleat was available in size 4 1/2. My daughter loves the feel and snug fit on her feet. Finding a high quality cleat is difficult for her, due to her small feet. Now, if she could find metal studs in size 4 1/2 she would be ready for D1 soccer.

After ordering with a personalised letter on the side I received the boots with completely the wrong personalisation. After talking to an agent online I was offered a refund or £10 credit to keep the boots.

I decided the personalisation wasn’t that bad (I ordered GJ85 in white and it came with an Italian flag and the letters GT in red!!) so accepted the £10. I hadn’t tried the boots on at this time as I didn’t want to wear them if they were going back.

It came to a day where I had football training so tried the boots on, the fit wasn’t great and they didn’t feel like the quality I was expecting so I decided that I wouldn’t like to keep them. I again got in touch but was told that as I’d had the £10 voucher that I couldn’t get a refund.

(This was still well within 14 days of purchase) So now I’m stuck with trainers that are I’ll fitting and have the incorrect personalisation.

So the trainers themselves are what you would expect for astro boots really, look decent, good price, hard wearing. Sizing runs small so I would size up. When ordering I first ordered a size 7 and they sent me a 13 so had to send them back then the 7 didn’t fit so had to send them back and get an 8 which cost of alot in returns and very annoying but not much else you can do when you can’t go and try! Still cheaper than buying elsewhere even with returns cost.

My son decided to choose these instead of trainers because he couldn’t find a pair in my price budget. He loves this Astro trainers and doesn’t know why he didn’t choose them before. They fit better and are comfortable.

He’s an 8. 5 and his feet are still growing. He recommends them over over priced Nikes any day.
