So I first tried dove go bar pretty recently. I’ve never really had any preferences before using it. I would basically go with the cheapest and or more quantity choices. Dove go bar was coincidentally within the categories of good price for a good amount as well, but for whatever reason I never got around to trying it.

Once I did try it, I kind of had a realization moment where I started noticing my skin type and what works for me. I absolutely believe that dove go bar is one of the rare beauty products that is compatible with almost everyone, although I will say, to an extent.

Meaning, for me, it hydrates me perfectly!! Whether I use it for my body or facial washes. Others may have more oily or more dry skin base, so they may not feel satisfied using Dove Go as their ONLY skin care product.

But I would definitely recommend, no URGE, everybody to keep a few Dove Go bars on hand at all times. I feel that it’s gentle enough for people with sensitive and dry skin, but I genuinely believe it will also prove to be proficient for people with a naturally oilier skin base.

It can exfoliate without dehydrating and it can rehydrate without overpowering your skins natural oils.

I have been using these soap bars from Dove since I was a preteen! They make you feel really squeaky clean, with a softness left to your skin thats just the right amount of moisture without the feel of any sort of film you can get with other brands.

The Dove White bar has this unmistakable type of smell to it that’s very sensual and feminine and will linger on your skin through out the day without over doing it. It’s such a fresh-clean, yummy smell! I’ve always loved the way after a wash the smell fills the bathroom, and then as the doors opened, the scent flows through the rest of the home.

That’s how I always knew my Mom was taking a shower. 🤍 On my days off I love to lather a Dove bar into a loofah, to create a rich thick lather and just saturate my body into the soapy, creamy thickness and just let the water from the shower do the rest.

Trying to remember if Ivory soap bars, are the ones I used as a kid, to build boats for the bathtub years ago. While older and somewhat mature, might have to try that again, with a Swiss Army knife. I actually really like Ivory, and that’s because it’s grime fighting.

Almost always it’s very competitively priced. If memory serves me correctly it was invented in the 1800’s. That’s proof of its established quality. I highly recommend this bar of soap, and buying in bulk will be more cost effective.

I remember using this at my grandmother’s grow6up, as I got older I went with the trends. A few years ago I had a major surgery, and could only use Ivory soap because it had to be free of anything extra.

Ivory soap was what the hospital told me to use because of it being a natural pure soap. It took me back to Grandma’s house the 1st time I used it. It has a clean scent that isn’t confused by anything else.

I noticed something I never paid attention to as a kid, it doesn’t leave any residue on your skin. Which is why the hospital told me to use it. I still buy it, I still use it, not as much as I should probably because I still like other body washes too much that give a nice scent lol I do know for sure, it is a clean soap, and leaves your skin natural.

If you’re not into that smell great other than clean scent, Ivory is perfect.

This is definitely an og. My mom purchased this type of bar soap when I was a child even into my teenage years. This was very affordable and it was a great product to use when you are trying to wash your body off.

I’ve used it off and on since then however as of late, I have not used it because I never had the desire to. I definitely may bring this back into my skincare routine. Definitely an OG for real!.

Firstly, you can smell this soap as soon as you open your Grove order. Seriously. As soon as I opened my order, I could smell it inside the package with all the other items I ordered. And once I actually opened the cardboard packaging and smelled the soap itself, it smells absolutely HEAVENLY.

I love it. And when you actually shower with it, it smells amazing too! It left my skin soft and smooth, with a faint scent of raspberry, even after I got out of the shower and dried off. This is now my all-time favorite soap (and I’m a little obsessed with collecting soap…), so I bought like 3-4 bars of these already! I just love it so much…!.

This scent! It is almost like a strawberry scent. Very fruity, slightly sweet. I wouldn’t think raspberry but it doesn’t matter because the smell is completely devine. It is not something that you will be smelling for hours after the shower however.

It doesn’t linger, which I prefer. I didn’t find this bar drying at all, in fact it seems moisturizing which surprised me with the salt component. The small amount of sea salt makes it lightly exfoliate but it is extremely gentle and perfect for sensitive skin.

Speaking of sensitive skin, I have very sensitive skin and yet I have had no discomfort with this product. I have been using it as an all over body wash which works great because of the shape of the soap.

I just rub it directly onto myself and because of the contoured shape it is easy to hold onto. I have also been loving this for shaving. It produces a light and silky lather and my razor glides like butter over it giving me a very comfortable shave.

Another excellent product from Ursa. High quality ingredients, wonderful scent, and a very effective bar soap. The only attributes that pushed it down from a 5 star rating? It’s pretty small for the cost and thus doesn’t last nearly as long as similar products from brands like Oar + Alps, and I wish it had a bit more exfoliating ability.

That said, it is still a very good bar of soap that I would recommend everyone try out.

I have been using this bar for a couple of weeks now and love its purifying scent of mint and eucalyptus as a morning pick-me-up. The exfoliation is gentle enough for daily use for me- I have somewhat sensitive skin and have had no issues and it does moisturize a bit as well.

I am pleased with how long it is lasting in the shower and it remains nice and solid, unlike some other natural bars I tried in the past. The packaging is super minimal and recyclable and many of the ingredients are organic, so I feel good about that aspect! The smell is also gender-neutral, which means I get to share it with my partner which means he is not using a better skincare product than he usually does.

I really liked this soap. It’s definitely herbaceous but that made it work for both my husband and I without being overly masculine or feminine. I also liked the shape and size of the bar. I saw the reviews and figured this was going to be good for my skin. I was wrong. I’m sure it works great for some people, however for me, it did not do a very good job. It made my skin much more dry.

It was also causing my allergies to flare up. I stopped using it and finally found the soap I tend to use daily. since then I’ve had no issues. I definitely know it was this soap causes me issues. Just because something says “sensitive skin” or” natural” doesn’t mean it will work for you.

Bought this soap for the first time a couple of months ago. This is the best bar soap my husband and I have ever used!!! He comments on it every time he uses it how it makes his skin feel and doesn’t dry it out.

They are what they are, simple no perfume soap. They lather just like the smelly stuff but are great. I even do my hair with them and have done so for about 3 years without issues. So you can get clean all over without smelling like a perfume shop.

If you need to wash below I would recommend aqueous cream, that’s what the doctor said, and I now do not get thrush from all the different things I’ve tried when wanting to feel clean all over.

I rarely ever use bath soaps to shower with. I am a body wash girl. Soaps usually dry out my skin leaving it brittle also I have very sensitive skin. I decided to purchase simple soap at one of my local beauty store.

I liked that it wasn’t heavily scented for a soap, the lather was okay. My skin felt better than using most soaps. It’s a good value pack size. Leaves you feeling clean and nice. Great for sensitive skin.

This soap contains the carcinogenic Tetrasodium EDTA ! There are far better soaps sold in Waitrose such as The Little Soap Company and Faith in Nature . I recommend both of these chemical free ranges

I like this soap because it doesn’t have any added scents or other additives. The only thing that could improve this soap is if it was wrapped in paper or another biodegradable material rather than plastic.

Wow. Even in this day and age we can get a simple hoho bar of soap, perfume and colourfree that does what it needs to do cleans your body without leaving you dry or rashy. And for under a pound. Which postbrexit is significantly cheaper than a few months ago.

I am a 68 year old woman and until now I never even had a pimple/ blemish on my face, even as as a teenager. My skin has always been very clear. Suddenly, I had a full blown case of rosaceous and nothing the doctors gave me worked.

I started using Aloe Vera plants sliced open. all over my face. But then I came upon Sea Berry Seed oil from SIBU. It is absolutely wonderful and now I cannot live without it. I use it all! It has made all of the Rosaceous symptoms go away now.

And I cannot tell you how horrible it was, inflamed and painful raised red rash and bumps all over my face. During the process of healing I would use both the oil and the cream after cleansing with the exfoliating cleanser.

I also take their Capsules. I use the cream every day and the body bar in the shower. I love the product and it feels so healthy! Most importantly – I got my face back – And I have to say it’s even better now run before the whole episode began.

My pores are virtually gone and the skin is vibrant looking and soft. The horrible wrinkles that suddenly appeared with the rosaceous are totally gone as well. Thank you!.

I don’t believe I actually purchased this product. I recall that it might have come free with purchase(?) I am an older woman with sensitive skin. I rarely use bar soap–bar soap is made with sodium tallowate (old-fashioned soaps were made with rendered fats and lye–in centuries past, people bathed infrequently, especially in cold weather.

This type of soap was used for general cleaning and laundry–and often left women’s hands RAW. ) Today’s modern versions (without lye, of course) leave a “waxy” film on the skin, which is irritating and pore-clogging.

Most soaps are also alkaline–and in hard-water areas they don’t rinse off completely. Regardless of other fancy additives–like fragrance–soap itself simply isn’t great for the skin. This product would only be useful for scrubbing grime and dirt off one’s hands, perhaps after gardening or working with machinery.

I use mild liquid cleanser ONLY. There is nothing “magical” about bar soaps. People with non-sensitive skin can probably tolerate the use of the Face & Body Bar, but this is not a product I would actually recommend.

I’ve bought a ton of BBW products, but this is the first soap bar I’ve used. I have to say I’m underwhelmed. The scent is very faint to me, much weaker than BBW scents in liquid soaps and shower gels.

I’ve only used the bar for hand washing, so maybe if the soap were used in the shower, I’d smell it more? The lather does feel creamy, but after drying my hands, I have to put on lotion for my hands not to feel dry.

It’s a constant battle these days: wash hands, lotion hands, wash hands, lotion hands. Anyway, back to the soap bar. I won’t be buying more, but I love BBW’s gels, creams, lotions, and mists.

I usually make my own soaps, shampoo, and detergent. I have really bad psoriasis and the use of fragrances and soaps usually ends up in a bad breakout. A friend recommended that I look for natural soaps and products and I stumbled into this bar.

I actually bought it because I liked that they advertise their ingredients openly. It was a bit expensive but it works! I’ve been using it for about a week now and haven’t had any breakouts at all. If you’re like me and are VERY hesitant when trying out new cleaning products, I really recommend this one.

I absolutely loved this bar soap! I had 1 or 2 blemishes on my arm and it just made them disappear! It smells good but I would like a variety of smells. I don’t want to smell like lemoms every day of my life.

It feels like silk and cleans your skin very well. I like that my skin isn’t dry like all other bar soaps do. Very great product! Also the bar soap is a bit to pricey for 1 bar. Please lower the price because if not I will have no choice but to not buy them.

This soap blew me away!! The Scent is awesome but it was the lather, lather, lather that blew my mind. Such a small amount gave me tons of silky, soft, beautiful lather. AND then it rinsed off so clean.

I must start of that I am a consistent and great fan of Beekman products. Until now. My rating of one star is for how products are sold on line. After I made a purchase for body cream and the order had been paid along came the special deal for the body bar soap.

I can’t explain why I touched the tab and before I knew it I had purchased it and the bar soap was added to my order. They had my credit card info and in one split second it was charged to me. There is no easy default button to push and opt out.

Although I know That could have called the 800 number or emailed that I did not want the bar soap or even sent it back once it arrived I just became was angry; felt used and advantage of. This is not the image I believe the Beekmans’ want to project.

I love the Beekman 1802 bar soap. I ordered this bar in the “fresh air” scent. When it arrived, the first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the soap had no smell. So, I opened the bar soap & it had been damaged it looked like in the mold process.

it had many nicks and slices in it. I kept smelling it and I tried water and rubbing it, but still no scent. it does lather & wash the same as the other Beekman bar soap I had. I was just a little disappointed that I was looking forward to a scent and it had none plus it was somehow damaged.

things happen I know & understand, but I’m a senor, disabled, & on a limited income & this was a gift to myself. I would still highly recommend the Beekman 1802 bar soap.

First you open the luxuriously packaged bar – ah, that feel of “paper” feels rich, then the bar, not only does it smell heavenly but the shape and grip or feel of it, is downright luxurious! I’ve been buying different natural soaps trying to find one I really like. This was just a random pick and I didn’t think much of it when I first started using it–just another soap. Within a week I started noticing my hands looked and felt younger and weren’t as dry as they always were before.

I was trying to figure out why and I realized that this soap was the only thing I’d changed. Yup, my whole body feels so much softer now. I couldn’t have asked for a better soap! I have chronically dry and sensitive skin and this has been the only product to help.

I’m so glad I found this! The only con I have found is that it disappeared quicker than other bar soaps, but it works so well, I’m willing to continue purchasing it.

I received this item in exchange for my review. The scent is great! The rosewater stands out. However, the scent is a bit too mild for me, but perhaps that is a plus for others. The soap leaves skin soft and non filmy.

Also, as the previous reviewer stated, the item is generously sized. The soap is also naturally derived and cruelty free. The only reason for four stars instead of five is because the scent isn’t as powerful as I’d prefer.

I was ready for this to be the perfect product to complete the body care lineup because we needed a cleanser to pair with an exfoliant & moisturizer. I was expecting it to leave the skin just fresh, clean and (pH & oil) balanced {if you know you know: that hydrated skin look and feel you get from double cleansing before applying any product}, kind of buttery like they said (without being actually buttery or filmy if you know what I mean), prepped skin for the butta drop but this bar soap removes too much oil.

Run on sentence, I know. Reminds me of using pure castile soap undiluted (Some people can get away with it though). It left my skin raw, dried out and ‘too clean’. I understand what they were trying to go for but the claims don’t live up to the performance of the product for me.

Probably lives up to it for oily skin but not for all skin types. I have very dry, sensitive skin. I’m also not a chemist but I pay attention to ingredients and it has served me well. I thought the oils and butters in the ingredients would leave the skin not feeling stripped and maybe balance out the surfactants but they’re not in the first five ingredients so that could be why.

I think the issue is this having too many surfactants. It probably should contain only Sodium Palm Kernelate and Sodium Palmate OR Potassium Palm Kernelate and Potassium Palmate, not both or all four.

And on top of that the cocoa powder clarifies the skin as well. It’s just too much (or at least that’s how I make sense of it). We can still get that goddess clean (that we want to get and assume Riri has lol) fenty team but without overdoing it.

Minus water/aqua, the first five ingredients are only surfactants because there’s palm kernel acid as well. I don’t know if bar soap has to be made that specific way (. with lye and the saponification process etc) but whatever the case may be the cleansing agents are overdone and therefore irritating to some skin types.

That’s why my skin also felt rubbery and tight afterwards. Some parts were even visibly white after towel drying (ashy). I stopped after one use and may try again by using very little or rubbing it slightly onto the washcloth so it’s not as concentrated of a lather and see if that works out and if it’s gentler but right now I’m scared because I’m not trying to trigger my eczema and deal with another set of scars etc.

I hope the Fenty team sees this and considers this one review. I hope to have an impact that can influence them to make a change so others with the same issue can enjoy this product. That’s also why I chose to write this here and not on Sephora.

com Clarified skin doesn’t have to mean an irritated skin barrier. Please, we need that ‘clean clean’ without drying and compromising our skin’s natural moisturizing factor balance. I’m also giving three (3) stars because I want to rate it neutral.

You should understand why from reading this review. Probably rambling but I could imagine how amazing this would be if it wasn’t so drying for me because the deep clean, the lingering godly clean after shower aroma that lasts in the morning hours (not sure about all day) and the way my skin drank up that whipped oil body cream right using it because my skin was clarified, is to die for.

I hope this isn’t too much but it’s worth it !.

I received the Fenty Skin Cocoa Cleans’r as part of a free sample program. I love most things Fenty and was pretty excited to try. Getting right into it, the cleansing bar is generously sized at 5oz, about a handful.

First impression is minimalist but cute. I love all things cocoa and coconut but the strong scent of this bar makes me realize I like NATURAL smells, not the fragrance versions of those smells like this.

I will say, after using the bar, the strong fragrance smell did decrease and it leaves a faint hint of the scent after bathing. The bar lathers up quickly and richly. If you love a bubbly, creamy lather, this will satisfy that desire pretty quickly.

I left the bar uncovered in the shower for a couple of weeks and can say that it has not melted quickly. This bar could last you a while. I did not notice any particular changes to my skin after using for 3 weeks.

I was neither dryer nor more moisturized after using. It seems to be a pleasant but pretty basic soap bar. I think this is a good intro to higher end, artisanal soap bars from smaller businesses. Overrall, I like it ok.

I don’t love the strong fragrance but I do love the lather. Not sure that I would recommend for anyone with fragrance or skin sensitivities. A fun addition to your skincare but not a staple.
