20 Best Soap For Sponge Bath (2023 Updated)

Love the Spongellé wild flower assorted pack, from opening the box to using them when I shower and throughout the day. I have bought the Spongellé sponge’s from years back. I love them that is why I keep buy more.

When I first open the box I can smell all the wonderful scents, in the shower I have lots of lather, and also the sponges exfoliates my skin making it so soft, does not dry out my skin, the scents are not overwhelming, and I feel really clean.

I also like that the scents linger and not disappear fast.

I ordered three of the sponges and this one is my favorite! It has such a rich, beautiful smell and is beyond luxurious! I used it first before the other two and was immediately hooked! I will continue to order this scent again and again even when trying other new ones.

The exfoliation is also a little lighter-feeling than other scents. I wish I could give this a million stars. I look forward to my showers now and will never go back to old products!.

While I do like the convenience and eco-friendliness of the soap being inside the loofah/sponge which helps eliminate plastic bottle waste, I’m not thrilled the product comes wrapped in plastic with a ribbon to hang it with.

Would prefer something a bit more eco friendly there (like biodegradable packaging and maybe natural hemp rope to hang sponge instead of a ribbon). I am also wondering what to do with all the sponges (since I have several) once the soap is all gone? I mean I know I can continue to use them, but how many loofahs does one person need? In addition, I do like/enjoy the exfoliation my skin gets from the loofah, but am not really crazy about any of the scents I currently have.

The scent doesn’t really seem to transfer to your skin at all either. So while the product does get you clean, I can’t seem to smell any fragrance on my skin once I’ve rinsed/gotten out of the shower.

That may be a good thing since lotion is definitely required for my skin after using this product. Although my skin felt very smooth thanks to the mild exfoliation, it also seemed very dry as the soap didn’t appear to provide any moisturization to my skin.

Overall, this product is a neat idea, would possibly make a cool one time gift for some ladies, but needs a bit more tweaking if I am to purchase again in the future.

The smell is to die for when taking a hot shower! Not to mention the super soft sponge. I noticed some of them are super rough but this one is so so soft and just actually my favorite at this moment.

I have wanted to try these sponges for quite awhile now but never did due to the price (a little on the pricey side). Well I finally couldn’t fight the urge and bought myself a few. The Coconut Verbena is the only one that I have used so far.

The smell is absolutely amazing and even after using the sponge a few times the smell is still pretty strong. I also ordered Bulgarian Rose and Beach Grass and even through the plastic the smell of both of them are great! I collect bath sponges and have a wide variety of them and the one thing that I always look for in a sponge is how soft it is.

These sponges are not really on the soft side so that’s the only complaint that I have. However, I only used the sponge 3 times so I’m hoping that it will become softer with use. Otherwise, I think that these are great! I would definitely recommend this product and would buy again!.

This is my favorite product of this year. Love the addition of the black ribbon and how simply you attach it. The fragrance is amazing and I smell it each time I walk into my bathroom. I have purchased many for holiday gifts and I am certain my friends will also love them.

The size, shape and texture of this sponge is perfect. Only issue is that the soap only lasted about 9-10days. I still love it.

I had never tried spongelle before. I was gifted the black orchid. It has a strong scent at first, but not when you actually use it. I like the way this foams and the scent is really nice. I was afraid that it would dry out my skin, and it is winter here, but that is not the case.

It has worked very well for me. I have bought a couple more, including a different scent, but haven’t tried it yet. The sponges seem to last a long time, but I do not leave mine where it gets wet anytime someone takes a shower.

I wish this had come with a ribbon to hang it.

Black orchid boxed flower is wonderful. It has the most delicious scent – that stays softly with you for a while. It also supposedly lasts for 14 plus washes, although I have not had that pleasure yet.

The slightly abrasive, yet gentle sponge/luffa that is embedded with the soap is also a joy – just rough enough to get rid of dead skin. but soft enough for those more gently areas. The soap itself is luxurious!!!! Pamper yourself!!!!! This is a keeper!!!!! Also has a plastic zipper pouch when dry, to keep intact in-between washes.

I received a Bulgarian rose boxed flower as an item in my FabFitFun box. I wasn’t sure how it would maintain its lathering powers for over 14 washes, but I loved the smell, so I gave it a try. I’m now ovsessed with these amazing little sponges.

They truly last for as long as they are supposed to (though I have gotten a few that only lasted for a couple of showers, but for the most part, they’ve lasted a long time). I plan to start giving these as gifts because they are so fantastic.

The smell is nice. strong but not overpowering. I’d say that the Bulgarian rose might be one of the stronger scents, but I love it. Can’t wait to try the vanilla bourbon and papaya yuzu, which I’m expecting any day now.

This is my first order, but my friends rave about Spongellé, so I had to give it a go. The first thing I noticed was the amazing smell. I was floored. It was intoxicating and a delicious scent. I couldn’t wait to take a shower.

My baby developed eczema around 3 months and somehow I came across this body wash, but wish I had found it much sooner. My daughter is 7 months now and for the past couple months we have been using N&B Fragrance-Free body wash every night, with a cool (less than 94 degrees) bath.

Within 3 minutes of getting her out of the tub, we apply Tubby Todd every day lotion and All Over Ointment. Her flare ups have gone down and this routine seems to help her a lot. If she touches something that flares her up, we will immediately bathe her with this body wash and her hives or redness will go down.

We recently attempted goat milk soaps that was marketed for eczema (it had less than 4 ingredients) thinking we’d like to try a more natural wash, but she became itchy during her bath so we went back to this N&B wash.

Just wish it was more natural or had more simple ingredients but it works for us, and keeps her eczema under control, and that’s what matters the most. I LOVE this scent! Also I love the texture of the sponge! It’s not hard or soft. It’s a perfect in between which I love because it gently exfoliates my skin. I’ve seen other reviews that say it’s too hard but I don’t think that at all! What a great variety…and every one smells so good! Not only are the Spongellé products long lasting and filled with soapy-goodness, but when they’re on sale (as they were when I purchased my lot) it’s really quite the good deal! I used to buy this soap all the time and loved the pleasant smell and natural minimal ingredients. However the soap I received this time has changed. First, I noticed the overwhelming synthetic perfumed smell, that is not even close to the way it used to be.

Second, the ingredients changed, the website must be not updated. The new ingredients they added are: tetrasodium glutamate dictate, titanium dioxide, Fragrance (doesn’t say natural any more, that explains the synthetic smell) and several other new ingredients.

I can’t use this soap because of the synthetic ingredients and overwhelming perfume smell. If you are looking for a natural soap, this is not longer it. I’d like to return it.

Can’t go without this soap. I’m sensitive to synthetic fragrances and it blew me away that it smells SO AMAZING and I can sniff and sniff and I never get a headache. Then you get little whiffs of it on your skin throughout the day, smells clean and fresh, not like a perfume, just clean.

I love the exfoliating too! Not too much scrub, just enough. I get in the shower and scrub away, it feels just like when you have an itch and scratch and ahhhhhh relief! Some people find it too scratchy but I don’t.

Guess I like the scratch. 🙂 It does not make me itch like some soaps can.

Currently using bar. The smell is awesome, the ‘sand’ feels a little bit like I’m bathing with combination of slick soap and sand paper. As I learned from the beginning about soap bars like these, a little goes a long way – lather up FIRST then get your bathing on! Hehe! Stay fresh, folks.

You’re just in complete luxury using this soap. I bought a whole loaf after first purchasing the one bar. I’ve purchased soaps from all over the world and nothing compares to Pacha Soap.

I swithced to Dr. Bronner’s soaps more than 5 years ago and use them for all my personal cleaning needs. My dermatologist had recommended Cetaphil, because my skin is sensitive. But when I read all the chemical ingredients in their products, I mixed the contents of the bottle with vinegar, salt and citrus juice to make weed killer! Worked well, and I’m glad I was able to find a good use for it.

Would never put it on my skin again! Dr. Bronner’s peppermint is my go-to, but I switch to the others now and then. Eucalyptus and lavender both provide a pleasant change. I keep a diluted solution for showering and washing hair, squirt it onto a Japanese washcloth where it foams just enough and enables me to reach every part of the body, starting with my head.

The combination provides excellent exfoliation. I only wash my hair every 3 days, and no longer use conditioner. My rinse is diluted apple cider vinegar, massaged into the scalp and rinsed with lukewarm water.

No other hair products needed. Once a week, I’ll whip a raw egg or cut a stalk of aloe vera, scoop out the gel, apply to the hair and let it sit for about 20 minutes before washing with Dr. Bronner’s.

All-natural, no muss, no fuss, nothing I can’t pronounce! And almost no hair on the drain screen. When I used body washes and shampoos, the drain needed weekly cleaning walls needed scrubbing t. Now, I treat it once a month with a cup of baking soda followed by a cup of white vinegar to keep it clear.

The fragrance in storebought shampoos and soaps makes my eczema worse. I couldn’t find any shampoos without fragrance, so I tried using Dr Bronner’s Castile soap as shampoo. What a nightmare. My hair was so coated in waxy gunk that it took about 36 hours to sort of dry, though still covered in gunk that hadn’t rinsed out.

All the oils got trapped in my scalp, and my hair got really disgusting after about four days (normally I wash my hair once a week). So I washed my hair with free and clear dish soap, and a gallon container of white vinegar that I took into the shower.

Then my hair was clean. I also tried to use Dr Bronmer’s as hand soap, but the pump kept clogging up. I then went to the kitchen to make a diluted batch of Dr Bronner’s Castile soap, and after it cooled, I poured it into the hand soap pump bottle.

Some of the diluted soap went down my garbage disposal, and I was wondering why it left a white residue on the black rubber flaps over the garbage disposal. I suppose it is the glycerine. That diluted soap left a waxy gunk on my hands every time that I washed, so that I began to avoid washing my hands.

Finally, I dumped that diluted soap down the drain, and filled my handsoap container with free and clear dishsoap. And today, I used Dr Bronner’s liquid Castile sugar soap to wash my underarms, and found myself having to apply hydrocortisone cream because of the irritation.

I think it’s the glycerine. The cheap lavender non-glycerine bar soap that most stores carry does not irritate my skin. I give Dr Bronner’s three stars, for trying to make a difference with beautiful natural products.

But I just cannot use glycerin products for any kind of cleaning. I don’t understand why my experience is so different from all the other people who wrote reviews here.

I’ve been water only washing for years, mostly. There are times I also use apple cider vinegar, baking soda, and essential oils. Recently, my scalp was getting itchy, so I looked into what else I can use.

From what I read, most people warn against using oil soaps saying they are drying and all this crazy nonsense. The best thing I can do is find out for myself, and I am glad that I did. My hair is natural and tight curly.

This castile soap not only got rid of the itch, but my hair is surprisingly SOFT and easy to run my fingers through. I usually use castor oil or sweet almond oil to style my hair with, and I shower with cold water, so these may be the contributing factors to my hair not feeling stiff or dry as I see other people complain about.

My hair is past nipple length, but shrinks to my shoulders to get an idea of how long my hair is. I do not use it daily, but three or four times a week now. I sweat A LOT when I work out, and even though water only washing, apple cider vinegar washing, and the occasional baking soda, I prefer this.

Also, I wanted to see how it works on the rest of my body, and one very interesting thing that happened is i have had tiny bumps on my nose since I am a teen (I am 48 now), and this castile soap made my nose smooth, and my face soft.

In fact, my whole body feels new, soft, and fresh. I use clove, nutmeg, and orange essential oils mixed into this, as well. I also add Diatomaceous Earth, as this has made some wonderful results in my personal care.

This castile soap is also awesome for brushing my teeth. It is way better than baking soda. My mouth feels fresh and clean, and my teeth nice and shiny. I highly recommend this Castile Soap, but of course everyone is different.

I am very pleased with this purchase, and I will buy again (after I experiment with other oil soaps not that I am new to the oil soap world!).

✨Tips and Tricks ✨ These are some relatively unknown tips and tricks about this product! I use this product as a makeup remover and it is honestly the best makeup remover I’ve ever tried. The brand also markets this as an 18-in-one product, and it can be used to wash dishes and clothes as well! Ever since I’ve become independent and moved into my own place, I have spent some time looking into and researching different types of household products and soaps.

This is because I was incentivized to look into buying new products since I couldn’t use the ones my parents bought anymore! I started using Dr. Bronner products about 3 years ago and I’ve never looked back.

The great thing is that, even though they are extremely expensive up front, they last a long time! This bottle that I’ve pictured is actually from when I first moved out three years ago! ✨Improving Value for Money✨ I suggest buying the largest product you can find, because the unit price per milliliter is much less expensive! The largest product that I can find is that 32 oz product, and that’s the one that I purchased 3 years ago that is still lasting me to this day in September 2022! I even have about 1/8 of the bottle remaining.

A small amount goes a very long way, and this lathers like crazy. I mainly use this soap for hand washing clothes and as my body wash. ✨Skin and Body Care✨ I believe that the surfactants are a bit too harsh for the face, so I avoid using it on my face except for removing makeup when needed.

I will only use this product to remove makeup when I’m wearing a lot of makeup and I can’t get it off with a normal cleanser because this soap is so dang strong! So basically, this is a great makeup remover but I wouldn’t recommend using it as a daily face cleanser because it is stripping.

This soap is a wonderful cleaner — that might go without saying, but I must say it. As a castile soap, it can clean many things, and with a little ingenuity you can figure out all kinds of uses for this being a non-toxic, concentrated value-for-your-money cleaner.

I personally use this primarily in the shower as a body wash — to which it works well I will say — with the only downside being the peppermint oil is *very* present. It lights you up with a semi-tingly, very chilling feeling.

I’ve grown to like it myself, if not love it, but to others wishing to do the same be warned; it doesn’t play around. You *will* feel the oils working. The only reason I’ve knocked a star off is for the price — which isn’t truly a fair assessment for the raw volume of concentrate you get — and for the *very* prominent peppermint oils that may dissuade others.

Otherwise 5/5 for myself.

This scent is so fresh and clean. Not perfumy at all. This is a great tool to have for in between your pedicures. My feet get dirty from working in the yard and this is just what I needed. It has just enough stiffness in the buffer to get the job done but not irritate your skin.

Lather is really good. I bought these after trying the body buffer thinking these will make great stocking stuffers and am very glad I did. I will be ordering more.

I purchased the pedi sponge in the Bulgarian Rose. I really like the light fragrance. The sponge is a nice size that fits in my hand perfectly. I use to have pretty rough skin on my feet but after using this my feet are softer and smoother feeling.

And did I mention I love the smell of this sponge? There’s a soft side on the sponge and a scrubber side. Love it! I like saving money on pedicures from the nail salon by doing my own at home. I will be back for more!.

I love Spongelle products. The Pedi-Buffer is my favorite. I give it as a gift to all my girlfriends. The sponge is perfect for keeping my feet soft and callous free. I live at the beach and walk barefoot often.

Most purest form of body wash out there. I was amazed at how light the soap was yet still practical enough to get the job done. Ingredients surpass every brand I have ever purchased. I tend to lean towards the all natural products and this definitely hit the nail on the head.

However they came up with this concoction, they knew what they were doing. The soap can’t feel any softer and more delicate than it already does. The smell is more on the citrus side rather than sea salt (which I have no idea what sea salt smells like, does it even smell????) I digress.

Overall, the product was perfect for what I was looking for and it did what it was suppose to do. It made me feel clean without any weird/harsh residue. Definitely, enjoyed the very handy pump that it came with.

I would obviously recommend to anyone who was looking for an all natural approach to their toiletries.

Excellent product! The smell is very pleasant for both men and women. What I love most is the lather. A little goes a long way and it leaves my skin amazing. For me, a test of how natural and pure a product is, is if it stings on a cut or abrasion.

I had a fresh tattoo and dreaded washing it because I thought it would sting like my other body wash and soaps. It cleaned and lathered so well with no stinging. I believe the natural ingredients in the wash helped in healing, as my tattoo was not being inundated with gross chemicals and fragrance, aggravating the healing process.
