20 Best Soap For Skin Lightening (2023 Updated)

A friend of mine suggested to me Makari products and I bought extreme active intense soap and cream. I used more than 3 weeks but it doesn’t work with my skin. The product itself is original but personally i didn’t like it.

It makes my skin very dry and sometimes I felt like my skin was burning. my skin is not sensitive but i think this product has harmful ingredients i have stop using it.

Notice a huge difference in skin tone within 2 weeks of use. My skin is glowing, blemishes and scars are fading. I also get compliments from strangers. I incorporated this soap with the Exclusive Makari collection.

Strictly followed 3x a day, morning and night use.

I’m enjoying this soap, it doesn’t make my skin feel tight like other soaps. It leaves my face nice and smoothe with a glow. I use it at night only. I know it will probably last a long time, so I will be using it until it’s gone.

This soap is good to target areas of hyper pigmentation (dark spots, underarms, etc) from acne and scars which is what i wanted it to do. Kojic Acid has exfoliation properties as well. Each time i use it, it is as if a new layer of skin emerges when i dry my face.

My skin lightened slightly but not too noticeably, just enough to give me a great glow. My skin is now so even i love it. I moisturize my skin immediately after using the soap. I also use it on the rest of my body, especially on my underarms.

I noticed my skin has a natural shine and is softer; however it takes much longer to get an even tone result on other parts of the body. Some say you can not use it every day as it is too strong but i use it every day as part of my bathing routine and I have had no negative reactions.

I think it all depends on the sensitivity of your skin to begin with. Sunscreen is a must. I love Kojic Acid soap and will continue to use it. I just wish it didn’t dissolve so easily.

I received the product quickly. I used this soap once before about 6 months ago. Was disappointed to see that the bars seem to have gotten smaller since then. 3 bars of soap is equivalent to 1 bar of Yeardley brand soap.

They melt really fast. I took the suggestion from a previous review. When you open a bar, go ahead and cut it into about 4 pieces. This seems to get you several more uses. Since the soap has become more popular its becoming smaller.

Aside from that, the soap does work, fast. I started using 2 days ago with exfoliating bath gloves. My elbows are already peeling away layers of dead skin. I scrub elbows, stomach, knees and buttocks, let it sit for about 2 minutes, then rinse.

You can see the dead skin rinsing down the drain, which I like. Also, it makes your skin really soft!! Worth every penny, but the tiny bars are kind of an inconvenience.

been using it for a week. have not seen any different even after the first three uses. AND did NOT get that “burning or tingling” sentation when leaving fit before rinse. LoL either its cuz im already white and dont go in sun much OR ended up with a bad bar.

this bar is still pretty damn big. especially if you have “soft water” you dont need much. AND did not dry out my skin so bad as ppl claim. even with daily moisturizer. maybe theyre getting a bad reaction.

Will not buy this product again. im glad i got the cheapest one. and the bar has not expired yet.

Believe me when I say this soap works wonders. I have acne prone, sensitive skin. I have been working on clearing the acne and scarring for 2 years now. My acne has subsided and now I have the general hormonal acne during the time of the month.

I’ve been using the soap on my face for about two weeks and it has lightened the blemishes on my face; in addition to brightening my complexion. I use the soap twice a day- once in the morning and once at night, along with black soap, my dermatologist prescribed face creams (Duac & Tazorac) and a face cream/shea butter.

Using the prescribed face creams alone didn’t help too much with the blemishes and that’s why I decided to order the Kojic soap. Honestly, I didn’t notice a change until the end of the second week. The second week is also when I started to feel a tingling sensation while washing my face.

Likas Papaya soap does wonders with your skin! The packaging however seems to leave you with unrealistic expectations with the “Skin Whitening” ad. Likas Payaya soap is made very naturally so there aren’t many harsh chemicals harming your skin.

The main component of the soap is obviously Payaya, which contains natural ingredients that causes your skin’s melanin levels to decrease. Melanin is what causes your skin to get darker from being under the sun.

The soap does very well to even out the skin tone by fixing dark spots and also brightens the skin! As for the “skin whitening part”, you must use the soap daily and avoid staying out under the sun for best results.

Wow, a really great product! I’ve tried it once in my cousins house, and the product has an amazing fragment. The product is a medium sized soap, but I’ve only tried it once so not sure if it works. Would love to try!.

So I only just started using this, but my first impressions of the oh so famous and beloved Kojie San soap is: it’s wonderful. The things I think people exaggerate about it tho is: 1) it does NOT smell that bad, the aroma reminds me of orange soda or orange candy flavor, 2) it does not stain, at all, and 3) it does not burn, just makes your skin really tingly, that’s all! One of the things I was most impressed with is the rich and foamy lather, even as I was using my silicone facial brush, the lather never gave way! Rinses off so quick and slick too.

It’s drying as hell, yes, but that’s normal and to be expected from an acid exfoliator. Two things I’d recommend, is to NOT use this during the daytime (and if you do, PLEASE WEAR SUNSCREEN!), personally I’m sticking with this as my nighttime routine, and that to save money, cut the soap in half or in cubes even so this will last longer because this product while not too pricey and still affordable it’s also not super cheap either, but I can already tell that it will be so worth my time.

I’m not keeping hopes up too high for any miraculous results or any major change in my skin at all to be honest, I just want to enjoy the experience of using this oh so popular soap, if it does work for my acne scars/marks, even better, and if I have to use it for the long term, then so be it! I LOVE Kojie San and am glad to FINALLY have it as part of my skincare regimen.

I’ve been using this on/off for a couple of years now. I mainly use it when I have whitehead flares ups (face) or need to do a full body toning. So, if you are a first time user…it’ll dry the heck out of your skin.

Key is to moisturize well (moisturizer + emollient to seal in the moisture). Work up some tolerance and get a great SPF! Do NOT use this on your face if you are using other actives. Take a week or two as a break from the actives to let your skin get less sensitive, then use the kojic.

I have some dark skin under my arms, around my bikini lines and on my bra line that I wanted to use this on. I should start by saying. USE A SOAP DISH. The orange color in this soap is a nightmare when it stains your tub.

Moving on. I was surprised at how small the bars were. I was expecting a normal bar of soap. These are about half that. I don’t care for the scent. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks every other time I shower.

As far as effectiveness. I noticed that a lot of people use this for acne. The areas I’ve been using it are surprisingly blemish free. My skin is usually pretty clear but I do get cystic acne on the inside of my thighs where they rub (tmi.

sorry) and this seems to be helping with that. or I at least haven’t been having problems in weeks. When I shower, I apply my deep conditioner that needs to sit, then I apply this soap where I need it and leave it to sit while I shave my legs.

I have noticed that after awhile I can feel something in the areas where I put it. like my skin is starting to get raw. Overall, I think there has been some lightening especially under my breasts. I had a little bit of a skin infection there that it seems to be helping.

I don’t recommend using this on the face. It’s kind of drying. I’m not going to say that it is a miracle product. I wish it was faster, but if it were it would probably be more expensive. I don’t mind just making it a habit to wash with this soap.

This is a great carrot soap. Even though it has “lightening” on the box, it is a toning soap. It evens your skin tone not lighten the skin tone. There was no discoloration in the skin when using it. Good simple carrot soap.

It’s not really much of a lightening bar soap but it does scrub away dead cells off your skin. I use it often when showering but would not recommend buying it.

I have been this soap for over 3 years, and I haven’t had any issues with apart from its fantastic effect of helping me fade spots and scars. So, so good! AAA+++

This was suggested to me by Ulta and I just decided to give it a shot. I’ve never been happier with an impulse buy in my life. For starters I have extremely troubled skin. I suffer with HS and though these abscess tunnels don’t really effect my face I struggled to keep my pores under control.

I also suffer with hyperpigmentation especially in summer months despite my religious use of sun protection. This bar saved my life and I’m not really kidding. I finally feel so comfortable in my skin and don’t have the embarrassment of my skin out in the open now.

Even on my body it has limited the abscesses which for those suffering with HS is a game changer. I hope this never goes away.

I just bought a dozen cause my skin only agrees with this soap to make it brighter & clearer. I have suffered from acne since my teens & finally found something to help combat that as well as the scars.

I dont use this alone I follow up with Thayer’s Lemon witch hazel & then my homemade body butter. I have dry skin so any bar soap would dry out my skin really badly. So I use my shea body butter mix instead of lotion.

Don’t want to use the body wash for I like SM soap bars better. Definitely stocking up on this in case they discontinue or change the ingredients. If so coconut & hibuscus soap bar is my backup. :-).

Firstly, I love that this product is organic. It has a lovely pleasant smell. I have very sensitive skin but experienced no problems at all. I’ve been using this every night for over a week. I couldn’t believe the difference.

It absorbs right away and my skin is so smooth. No more dry patches. I really love this product, and I will continue to use it. I highly recommend this to everyone. I have already told several people how wonderful this produce is.

I absolutely love this soap. I’ve been using it for years. I have childhood scars on my legs that I thought I’d wear forever that have been gradually fading and blending. Some are barely noticeable now.

I know we shed skin everyday, and because my skin is dark, I can actually see it. When my knuckles or back of my legs need a little more attention, I lather, wait a minute or so, and rinse. I can visually tell the difference.

It prepares the skin for a. good moisturizer that you know is being applied to the newest layer of skin. Love it – only wish it wasn’t so pricey. I’ve tried less expensive soaps, but alway end up shelling out the extra bucks for this.

So, do t let it soak, secure it away from water and you could get away with needing a bar every 6 weeks or so.

This soap is excellent. The smile is super good. I have been using it for 4 years. It is expensive a local store thanks Amazon’s for putting in at a cheap price here. DO NOT THINK TWICE this soap is very good for any type of skin.

Pleeeease Bring back the old product line/ingredients!! I’ve been using this blemish soap for well over a month and its taking my acne blemishes so much longer to fade away! I miss the old Blemish soaps, my scars would’ve cleared up within a week of use.

However, I do like the fact the soap lathers into a creamy, silky, milky foam that builds and feels smooth on the face, and it doesn’t dry out my skin.

Not much to tell about Dermisa soap. I think it is just like a regular soap, nothing special about it. It is certainly nothing to brag about. It is definitely not worth the price that I have paid for.

Therefore, I would not recommend it to anyone.

I needed for find another lightening bar that was not the orange kojie san because eventually that one stops working and a lot of them are fake. Also it stains a white tub like no other. I havent quite finished he first bar but already I notice a difference in such short time, love it!.

I just had a baby and i was dark like anything u can imagine. Had melasma on my face and all over my body. Had terrible dark circles around my eye area. No make up can cover it not even photoshop filters.

I had used kojic acid siao before but got discouraged because I couldn’t find the original one. So somehow I stumbled on this one and have been using it for about 7weeks, o boy!!!!. My face is spotless, i mean spotless, this is the first time in my whole life to have such spotless, glowing and natural looking complexion.

I LOVE this soap! I was hesitant at first because nothing worked on the hyperpigmentation on my back and shoulders (I am a brown person). I used apple cider vinegar, baking soda, sulfur soap, charcoal soap and raw aloe vera and none of it worked.

This soap has lightened the scars in just 3 weeks of use every time I shower. They arent completely gone yet, but most of them are fading quickly. I figured with about another three weeks of usage, the scars will have been faded so much I wont be able to tell I ever had scarring all over my back and shoulders.

However it is drying so I use coconut oil after showering along with aloe Vera gel. Do not exfoliate your chest while using this because it will cause the sensitive skin to burn and scab. I also use it on my face, and I see a visible improvement in its texture and tone.

I took the time to use all three bars before I wrote my review. I’m a fairly dark complected black male. The first day I used product it made my skin much darker and very dry which caused alot of concern for me but after lots of research I found this to be a normal reaction from the acid working on the dead skin on top.

I started off the first week by using once every other day to let my skin adjust to it and then increased to once a day in the following weeks. The bars are very small and only last for about six washes that’s with minimal use and even keeping bar sealed in ziplock bag.

Its been four weeks and I can see my skin starting to lighten in some areas but in small patches which is not effect I was hoping for. The soap leaves the skin very dry so after my shower I moisturize with a sun block and thick moisterizer.

I also noticed that I scar and bruise much easier now because my skin is seemingly thinner. I would suggest going with a more aggressive lightening product If you are dark complected.

I’ve been using this for 3 days now & my face has whitened & brightened. I use it twice a day AM & PM. I have sensitive, acne prone skin but so far i am not experiencing breakouts. I hope the results last and not only at the beginning.

Wasn’t looking to change my complexion, only to soften through exfoliation, help fade post-inflammatory dark marks, and keep my skin as even as possible during this Florida summer. Kojie San allowed me successfully accomplish my goals skin goals.

Don’t expect to much from this one soap if you are looking to bleach your skin. You will definitely need to use this in conjunction with bleaching creams/ lotions. I read somewhere that Kojic Acid does inhibit production of melanin without removing ones current completion, which is my aim.

I received my soap in a timely manner and packaged properly. I could see the difference in my skin tone after a couple of days of use. The soap is of good quality and I enjoy the lathering effect it produces.
