20 Best Soap For Removing Dirt (2023 Updated)

This is a great cleaner, but getting under the nails is a little more difficult. Its very gritty (intentionally) and not sudsy, so when I take my brush to the underside of my nails it doesnt work as good as say Dawn.

But it is an overall great cleaner and leaves your hands very soft.

So I was working on my classic which we all know years or dirt grime and whatever build up I decided to give this a try. It worked good the consistency is between original go-jo and the orange go-jo.

the only bad thing I can say really is the cap sucks it doesn’t want to close all the way but it does clean like it should.

Not only does it clean anything and everything off of my hands, but my hands feel soft and beautiful as if Id just been to the spa for an expensive exfoliation treatment! This is my second tube and Im giving it as gifts.

I love it!.

Quite average really, just like a normal block of soap. If all I needed was normal soap, I would have ordered normal soap. However I have found an alternative to Lava Soap that works way way better and is actually gritty.

GritMitts! I will be using the GritMitts instead as a replacement from now on.

I’ve had extremely sensitive skin since I was a little girl, allergic to most soaps. I also have Rosacea. In 2016 we were fortunate enough to visit the Dead Sea. There was a store nearby that had Ahava products in it.

I purchased a few to try and liked them so much I have been ordering them online ever since. Their salt soap is the best!, no rashes or severe redness. My friends and family have all noticed my complexion is so much better.

I also use the mud mask weekly and the age control even tone moisturizer daily. I take them on vacation so I won’t be without them because they are that good.

We were fortunate enough to visit Israel and the Dead Sea a couple of years ago. I discovered this soap shortly after and its scent takes me back there each time I use it. It’s the only soap I’ve used since.

Also have gifted it to several friends who enjoy it. It lasts a long time, and softens and moisturizes the skin without leaving a residue, but the scent is the cherry on the top!.

I got this with some other ahava items in a kit. I ended up giving it to my mom with other bath items in a gift basket. Well she loved it so much. She says it has made her skin so soft and smoothed out imperfections especially recurring blackheads that she gets in the same area.

So I took the hint and get it everytime I see it on sale and give to her as a random thank you for the random things she does for me. I need to try it out one of these days.

This has been a game changer. I’ve had mild-severe eczema since I was in preschool. I was put on antibacterial soap, then used Dove bars and then an aromatherapy body wash. I would then slather Vaseline all over my body.

Now I’m 25 and starting to discover what really works for my body instead of blindly listening to what the doctors told my parents to do when I was young. Although yes, please eat organically – the docs that one on the money.

Many products nowadays are marketed toward eczema that don’t actually show lasting improvement. I’ve been using these charcoal soap bars for about 6 months now and my skin’s overall irritation and dryness have subsided.

I own a small site work and landscaping company. I work outside in the dirt and the sun and the rain and I get dirty. So when I say this is the best soap ever that’s where I’m coming from. I have tried a lot of soaps.

Especially ones with pumice. None come close to the Dead Sea Mud, Pumice and Activated Charcoal bar. You can actually feel the charcoal pulling the dirt from your pores. The amount and size of the pumice is perfect.

It’s enough to clean heavy dirt and exfoliate but not so much as to leave your skin feeling rough and damaged. And the Shea butter and organic oils are key because you can really scrub, deep clean and exfoliate all while leaving your skin totally moisturized.

And you’re not soaking your body in a bunch of chemicals. I love this product , I use it everyday, and my skin has never looked or felt better.

I have mildly acne prone skin, and dryness. I have only used a week, most days in morning and evening. It gets my face squeaky, but I don’t feel dried out. Sometimes I use my Clarisonic brush and sometimes I don’t.

Honestly, the pumice is so effective that I don’t need the brush that way I do with other face cleansers. I haven’t seen groundbreaking changes yet, but my face it smoother to the touch and that matters so much to me! I can’t wait to see what my skin is like in a month! In order to see what this is like, I haven’t used any other products to clean my face.

I cleanse with this. I spray with rose water before I use an oil blend I made to moisturize (lavender, geranium, and jojoba with a couple drops of hyaluronic acid), and tea tree to spot treat the acne in the mornings.

At night, I add Neutrogena cream on top of the oil. I’ve always done all of these other things, but I was using two other face washes. Now I am only using this soap bar. I really like it! Just only been a week of use so I need more time before I can say it’s my holy grail.

I LOVE Sal Suds. I LOVE the pine scent. How do you go back to the caustic scents of Lysol and Pine Sol after Sal Suds?? I, of course, also love its versatility and cleaning power. And how much you can get out of it.

A tablespoon for a 32-ounce spray bottle! Even if you make it a bit stronger, it still makes a TON! I bought a gallon through Amazon a while back and haven’t finished it yet, but, partly because of excellent customer service (more below), I went ahead and bought another bottle of it during the Thanksgiving sale.

I previously ordered 8 small bottles of the various scents of the regular Dr. Bronner’s and one of the 8 came back with the seal misplaced. While fortunately the improperly sealed bottle did not cause leaks all over the package, I felt that it did compromise the longevity of the product, so I sent a note to customer service, but did not mention a replacement because I was a little concerned about the shipping and cost would be over the top for shipping me an 8-ounce bottle.

But without prompting, they went ahead and told me they would send me a replacement, and the bottle arrive without issue, I rarely write a review. Rarely. But I felt compelled because, while this particular product is excellent, it was the company’s customer service that pulled me over the edge.

Thank you, Dr. Bronner’s company. I do hope you check the sealing process for your products so you don’t waste money in shipping replacements to people. P. S. The Sal Suds came solidified white in its bottle.

From previous experience, I believe this happens in cold weather and will thaw out in warmer temps. Just thought I’d warn people.

After reading reviews and its uses on the Bronner website, I ordered a bottle with high expectations, and wrote a cheat sheet for dilutions. My experience has been that it offers the same results as if I were to use a store-brand soap on anything from a rug to cleaning the (greasy) outside of a used refrigerator.

On the rug, it did nothing, so I increased the SS in the bottle and the rug still didn’t look any differently. And even though I increased the amount, I didn’t have the suds problem the blog warns about.

On the ‘frig, I used a scrubber and rags with the SS, and ended up spending as much time on it as if I’d used straight rubbing alcohol. Since I bought it, I’ll use it to spot clean very light dirt areas on the floors.

This is not a powerhouse cleaner. After trying it, I read other reviews, and a reviewer on another site found it had an ingredient that was not “friendly,” and stated that they would use the bottle up to get rid of garden pests because of it.

Shipping can actually take as long as something arriving from China, which I find unsatisfactory.

I was searching for a detergent to use for washing laundry that would also be safe for the environment. The first product that I tried was awful. It did not do a good job, and the fragrance was not natural.

So I searched again and this time I was fortunate enough to find Sal Suds. I have never looked back. What an amazing gem this product is. My husband used to be itching all over, and, guess what? All the itching on his legs stopped.

Sal Suds is so versatile. If you explore Lisa Bronner’s site, she gives you many ways to use Sal Suds, but even if it was only good for washing clothes, it would be a gem. The clothes are clean and there is no chemical residue.

Sal Suds is amazing on stains. My husband is notorious for getting stains. Sal Suds is especially good at getting out natural food stains. He had a shirt full of beet stains from making juice. I pretreated with.

sal Suds, and the stains disappeared. Wonderful, wonderful product!.

smells nice. makes lots of foam. but does a terrible job of cutting dirt and mud, you still have to hand wash if you want no residue left behind. used it on my wife’s subaru with light mud/dust on the fenders and had to re wash with a hand shammy to actually get the residue off.

not sure what makes this “tough mudder” stuff different than any other regular soap.

I’ve used a few chemical guys soaps and this one really does work nicely on muddy trucks. I used it on my Jeep after a weekend in the woods and it smells great and did a great job at removing the dirt.

I wet sprayed, then foam cannoned this on, let it sit, sprayed it off and then spray cannoned it on again and washed off with a mitt and got a perfect clean jeep.

Got this to use with my 2000psi pressure washer full strength. Normally, I use Maguire’s but decided to “go cheap” and fell or the manufacturer description. As soon as I opened the jug, I KNEW it was worthless and waste of my money! It poured out like water, look like antifreeze, only plus was the scent, which WON’T clean my vehicles.

Using foam cannon, I normally use just @1/3 bottle with Maguire’s car wash but, this I had to refill and use 2 bottles full and then some to coat my truck. By the time I got it covered, where I started had already run down and dried!! Ended up re-spraying with what little Maguire’s I had left, @1/4 bottle in foam cannon and THAT stayed even after I got done spraying my truck! I rather spend @$25 for Maguire’s than having to use this junk and waste water AND money AND still get nothing done!.

turtle wax max power cleaning cart wash is really good at cleaning your automobile. It looks and smells like orange juice with fruity hint but it will take off the hard pollen, tree sap, etc. In a foam cannon 50/50 or full works great! This is not a wash and wax it’s a deep cleaning WASH, afterwards you can wash with wax or hand wax.

When your vehicle is dirty you need to first WASH it then wax not both at the same time. Carnauba wash or wax after using this is good.

Turtle wax has out out a new soap that we add to our armor all sprayer that attaches to our power washer. This literally brings the soapy spray you get at the car wash to your home. Power washer not included, but if you have one this is the best set up ever.

Just pour in the armor all attachment sold at local parts store and spray on them unhook and spray off! That’s all…and you will be left a clean vehicle or well whatever you want to wash! Soap smells really good too.

This is a very nice facial wash. While physical washes/scrubs (as opposed to chemical ones) aren’t really necessary these days if those are the kinds you prefer than this is a good option. It has a nice consistency and texture.

It’s not too heavy or creamy, and the little balls in it are very small and feel gentle in your face. It comes off very easily when you rinse it and isn’t sticky so you don’t have to worry about touching something with it and making a super visible stain or having a hard time getting it off/out.

My favorite thing about it? The scent. It’s super subtle so if you like aromatic skincare experiences don’t get it just for that. If you’re anyone else it might be just right for you. It has this gentle, barely there clean scent to it that honestly might just come from the clay.

Still it’s refreshing for me at least. Is it revolutionary? In my opinion, no. I probably won’t be buying it again just because my mother bought me it just for fun to try, but nonetheless I still love it.

I wanted to like this a lot since it’s “natural” and has raving reviews, but it just wasn’t for me. Skin always feels so soft after each use, but it also feels like there is a layer of some kind on the skin.

Maybe it’s the Shea butter or Coconut? That’s another thing, I don’t like coconut on my face as it’s highly comedogenic! I don’t like anything that clogs pores. I have enough issues with my pores. This is a gentle exfoliant.

So gentle that I don’t believe it’s exfoliating anything. After using this, my face don’t feel clean. feels like I added products on my face instead of “scrubbing”. I love Shea Moisture, but wasn’t thrilled with this product at all.

I received a travel sized sample of this product and ended up sending with my husband on a business trip instead of his small hair gel. They were similar packaging!!! Anyway, he is acne prone but with super sensitive skin and once he figured out it wasn’t hair gel, he loved it.

He told me using it for 5 days gave him better results than the years of proactive he had been hooked on. Months later we have bought bottles and bottles from Amazon and his skin looks amazing. It is smooth, the redness has subsided and he only occasionally has a breakout- usually stress related! I have branched out and started using other products from the line myself especially liking the curl products for my hair.

Overall win!!!.

This bar is amazing. The larger is rich and immediate – “a little goes a long way” buy it’s hard to not over larger with a bar! The scent is so comforting and the way my skin feels after rinsing can only be described as purified.

Like a clean slate. I tried to keep this as a facial bar but seriously, it’s too delicious not to use on my whole body – so I do. It is necessary for me to moisturize after use – for whatever reason, despite it being created for sensitive skin, it dries mine pretty good so I can’t skip moisturizing after this.

That said I can’t use it daily but a few days a week will be beneficial. I’m looking forward to trying the other bars! The ingredients are kind and caring too, I appreciate that! I’d like to see a bubble bath and shower gel in this formula.

I have been using Green clay , brightening soap for a week now, I can see a lot of improvement in my skin. It is gentle on my skin. I have a T zone that’s oily , hence make my face look dull. But, the soap is good at removing the excess oil from your skin and makes you fresh.

The smell of the soap is not to strong and is very mild. The brightening soap is good at removing all dust particles from our face and giving us a instant freshness. I would not say , it brightens instantly, but it definitely , gives you freshness that can be seen on the face.

I used only for a week now and I am extremely happy. I believe , using for a month or more will result in brightness. My skin is very sensitive, but his soap did not react at all.

My skin is sensitive and super dry in the winter months. Finding a quality soap that is strong enough to remove my makeup, but gentle on my skin has been a nightmare. Until this! My magic mud is a wonderful brand yet I was still nervous about a bar soap for my face.

Made with french green clay and coconut oil, I decided to give it a try. The smell is wonderful and light, like cucumber, and not overbearing. The bar foams more than expected and is creamy and soft.

This feels great when it hits your face and feels more like a cream soap- nothing like I would expect from a bar. I am so very impressed with this soap and can’t wait to try other products from this line! My skin was left clean, and super soft!.

I purchased multiple cleaning products from my local Auto Zone store to clean all three of my cars. I was disappointed to discover that the seal on the Turtle Wax Super Foaming Car Wash container was perforated and the contents tampered with.

There was absolutely no foam created during use even though I used almost half the contents in a bucket. It was obvious that someone used a portion of the product and filled the void with water. Either someone in the store is pulling this dishonest stunt or they are accepting returns without checking for factory seals.

Therefore, I will never purchase anything in this store again.

Started our first business in 1972 detailing cars. Started using this produce and have tried several others across the years but always come back to this product. IT does the best of all that we have tried.

There is not magic spray and rinse. Use a micro fiber mitt, rinse mitt between dipping in fresh wash water and soap mixture. Wash one panel at a time. This stuff is wonderful about either preserving your hand applied wax and or just making your car cleaner and repel water when done.

dry car off with chamois or dry micro fiber towels for best results.

I have used turtle wax products for many years. this one was a complete disappointment. hardly any suds in the bucket , and by the time you get it on the car , there was none. I kept adding more product to the water , but it didnt make any difference.

will not buy again. dont waste your money.

great soap! does not smell like sulfur and is very clarifying and exfoliating without making the skin feel tight. my pores were very clear after using this! so far everything I’ve tried from this brand has been amazing, I’m so glad I can find it here.

Thissoap has a very minimal sulfur smell. The bar is huge and lathers nicely. My skin feels smooth and clean after washing with this soap. I can’t really say My acne has cleared after a month of using it.

Procoal products are part of the Bayagan Group, based in Brighton, and are a company specialising in Environmentally friendly beauty products. They source their ingredients from the UK where possible, which is another plus for me.

I have never tried their products before now, but liked the look of the Volcanic Exfoliating Egg and was intrigued to see what it was like. At first I was disappointed that it was smaller than I imagined, being, as the name suggests, the size of your average chicken’s egg.

I expected it to be a little larger, but I suppose the fact that it fits snugly into the palm of the hand is a benefit when using it in a shower. It is a darkish grey colour, quite neutral in fragrance, but with that hint of cleanliness that suggests health spa and purity of ingredients.

This makes it suitable for both males and females. It seems it will last for some time as although it lathers sufficiently during use, it does not melt away quickly in contact with water, as some soaps do.

It feels quite scratchy on the skin, but not in an unpleasant way, and just reassures that it is, indeed, exfoliating as it promises. It is a good thing to exfoliate on at least a regular basis, to eliminate dead skin cells and toxins held within.

ordinary soap does not necessarily do this, and can leave the skin dried out and looking lifeless. This egg is described as containing pumice powder. so if you can imagine a pumice stone but in a milder form, working away on the upper layer of the skin, you will have a good idea of how this product leaves the skin feeling tingly, clean and refreshed.

It also contains Argan Oil, Olive Oil and Shea butter, to help with re-moisturising, and is also free from sulphates. All in all, this is a clean, pure and environmentally friendly product that does live up to the manufacturer’s claims.

It has certainly helped to clear up a skin blemish I had by cleaning away the dead skin cells after only a couple of uses. So, a recommended product from me.
