20 Best Soap For Hair Wash (2023 Updated)

I love this shampoo, i purchased it after my hair was left fried from a bad bleach application by someone who claimed to be a professional. I use a detox shampoo and then i use this to add back in the good oils and reinvigorate and soothe my scalp.

This is my third packet of this stuff and it smells great like rosemary and fresh herbs. The packet is nice but can be hard to get the last bit out of. I had to cut open my last packet to get all three product out of.

The price is on the higher end but this stuff lasts me 6+ months. Don’t want to go without this stuff now.

New Wash changed my life! As I get older my scalp health has taken a nose dive. I have dandruff and was so itchy all the time. My wonderful hair stylist explained that you have to take care of your scalp just like you would your face, and recommended New Wash.

I’ve been using it for years now and can’t imagine using anything else. It took care of all my issues and feels super luxurious. One thing to note is that it applies like a conditioner and you massage it in—you have to get past the fact that it doesn’t sud (but is very much still cleansing).

I only wish it weren’t so expensive and that regular orders came in more convenient packaging.

I am very impressed with this product! I have very dry frizzy/curly hair that I straighten out. I have to do keratin treatments because I live in Florida and keeping straight hair with the humidity is impossible without the keratin.

I’ve been using Hairstory New Wash (rich) for about 2 weeks and today I cancelled my keratin appointment because my hair simply looks fabulous and stays in place! Yes it’s a little heavier than it was before and I need to wash it twice a week instead of once but it feels so nourished and healthy with only one product it’s simply amazing!!! I also tried leaving it curly to see how my curls looked and once again I was blown away! I’ve never had such defined and soft curls before! I’m considering wearing it curly once it grows a bit longer! Love Hairstory!.

Let me start by saying that this is the best shampoo bar that I have come across. It lathers extremely well, doesn’t have an unpleasant odor, and seems to not dry out my hair. However, the bar is wrapped in plastic, inside the paper box.

Why?! There are so many other companies doing shampoo bars, and I have yet to come across one that wraps their product in plastic. The majority of people purchasing a shampoo bar are doing it to get rid of plastic.

Am I wrong? I would love to purchase this again, and again, and again, but I’m going to go with another brand until they can figure out their packaging.

I have tried a lot of shampoo bars and this is the one I keep coming back to. I have thick, curly hair and this bar lathers better than any of the others, so I feel like I don’t have to use nearly as much to get my hair thoroughly cleaned.

I love the smell and it leaves my hair feeling great after my shower. My only complaint is that my shower is small and I don’t have a great place to store it that keeps it away from water splashes and stays dry.

Thats a “me” problem though, not a fault of the product. If you have been on the fence about going to a bar shampoo, don’t be. This one won’t disappoint!.

I was skeptical about purchasing this mainly due to the reviews of others regarding the feeling of a residue or ‘straw like’. Having very thin, fine hair, this was not an option! However, I want to do my part to reduce waste and use something a bit more natural.

This shampoo bar worked GREAT for me. and my husband! He has lots of thick, red hair and he loves it, too! If every review here was not good, then I would be super wary of ordering this. As you can see, the majority of reviews are good ones.

Take the reviews with a grain of salt. Not every product will work the same for every person! Keep in mind, too. they might not have used it properly or there were other influences that caused the item to not work as it was meant to.

EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT!!!.

This was my second time ordering this set. The first time, they arrived perfect. They are the perfect size for my short term rental units. This time ordering, not so much luck. About half of the shampoos were not sealed with foil properly, so they leaked all over in the box.

I had to go through and open each one to test if it was sealed and throw away the ones that were not. I was unable to return them as I needed them right away for my guests and I had already moved many the good ones to my box with the old order.

IF I do order these again in the future, I will make sure to check them as soon as I open the box.

There are lots of options out there for complimentary toiletries, some are cheaper than these. However, I have received so many compliments and positive feedback about the quality of this product I will never use anything else again.

The smell is crisp and clean. They last well too. Highly recommend.

UPDATE: I just received another order of these shampoos and the design of the bottle has changed so that the new bottles are white. To me it doesn’t look quite as classy, but still okay. The new design has the ingredients listed on the back which probably wouldn’t have been readable with the old semi-clear bottles.

I still give it five stars. Sometimes when traveling to Europe with my kids we stay at cheap places that don’t provide shampoo. Also in the U. S. , hotel chains like Microtel don’t provide shampoo. I bought these to take on such trips.

I’ve used the product, and don’t find the light fragrance overbearing at all (and I don’t like fragrance). One reviewer didn’t like the fact that there was a foil covering that needed to be peeled off after opening the shampoo.

I like this, as this is my second purchase of mini-shampoos. The first brand I bought had flip-caps and no foil over the opening. Pressure from clothing caused them to come open in transit (fortunately most were in Ziploc bags).

These little shampoo bottles have both a screw-on cap, and a foil seal, which makes it highly unlikely that a little pressure is going to force them to pop open. The foil is very easy to remove. We’ve rented out our house on Airbnb a few times for special events.

I haven’t used these yet, but they have a very upscale and premium appearance, and I will use them from now on.

For years I have struggled with finding the right shampoo and conditioner for my curly hair. Products like Suave, TREsemmé, Pantene, and Aussie. As popular as these products are, they did not do my hair justice.

For instance, after I would wash my hair with these product lines, I would notice that my curls were left dehydrated and frizzy. Knowing that this was a huge issue I decided to take a different approach and do some research on what shampoos and conditioners were great for those with curly textured hair.

Once I came across the Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner from the Shea Moisture line, I knew I just had to give it a try because it said it contained natural and certified organic ingredients, controls frizz while adding brilliant shine, and formed to hydrate and protect your hair while reducing breakage.

I bought these two products at Walmart for approximately $20. The shampoo and conditioner are $9. 97 each. I know what some of you may be thinking. That is expensive for both a shampoo and conditioner but let me tell you it is worth it! Products like Suave, TREsemmé, Pantene, Aussie, and other popular shampoo and conditioners are cheaper because they are the most damaging.

They have sulfates and parabens which dries out your hair faster which leads to frizz and breakage. You can see why these products should be avoided for those with textured hair because are hair dries out faster than straight hair.

Therefore, it is best to stay away from them altogether. Go to your local drugstore and or any other places that sell hair products like Sallys and Ulta Beauty and give the Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner from Shea Moisture a try because you will not regret it.

I absolutely love this product. I actually started using this after applying it on my granddaughter one evening after her bath. She has very sensitive skin so I was skeptical at first. However she had no adverse reactions to this and I loved how easily it was to apply and absorbed in to her skin without feeling greasy and the fresh scent is awesome not heavy just clean.

So I decided to give it a try myself, it is so rich and creamy glides on my skin which is dry especially in the winter months. My skin felt great and fully moisturized and hydrated. I am not accustomed to that.

I leave my skin a little damp and apply it immediately after getting out of the shower. I would highly reccomend this product to anyone with dry skin. It smells so fresh and clean and I have not had any issues with breaking out or rashes or any burning etc.

I love this shampoo. I’ve been seeing this for years and finally decided to try it and I am glad I did. What I like about this shampoo is it really does clean your hair and moisturize at the same time (really).

What I like most is there is no strong fragrance and it is gentle on my scalp/skin. I have dermatitis which leaves my skin ridiculously sensitive, and I do not get a negative reaction what so ever from using this product.

For me that is a big deal it cleans my scalp and hair. This is my go to shampoo. I do have to agree with some of the other reviews this is a very watery shampoo. Do not tilt the bottle over your head like other shampoos, start by carefully adding a few drops all over your head working that in and adding more as needed.

My husband said you should try this i think you’ll love it. Ok after i finished what i have. It is amazing. It leaves my hair feeling smooth soft and natural. My hair was falling out off the time. But now i don’t have to way about that anymore.

Great vitamins for your hair. Smell great. made for curly and kinky haired women. What so nice is that my husband delivers there mail to this great company.

Not for me. I don’t think it is a bad product because the company always sells high quality items. I think it just wasn’t for my hair or my daughter’s hair. The shampoo just left our hair feeling weird like rubber almost.

The conditioner helped a little but wasn’t very moisturizing. For some reason our hair doesn’t like any shampoo from this company but loves everything else they make !.

My husband has an obscene amount of hair. The fluffiest, lush mane I’ve ever seen! Lol Because of this I feel his scalp doesn’t get enough proper balance of cleansing and moisturizing. Plus even since I’ve known him he’s had terrible trouble with dandruff.

Like giant snowflakes EVERYWHERE! The flakes fall in his eyebrows and mustache. We finally got the flakes under control with the Tgel from nutrogena but I hate the tar smell of tgel! Every time we’ve tried something new flakes would come back.

We tried every type of anti dandruff from dove, selsum, pert whatever but nothing controled the flakes My dad uses tea tree shampoo and conditioner so I was looking for kind of a two in one for my husband.

He’s not exactly the time to really give a rats toot about conditioner. He doesn’t really mess with conditioner as he tends to be a bit on the oilier side anyway. Every conditioner I’ve had him try leaves him oily by the end of the day.

It’s kind of gross especially since he works a pretty hard labor job in an unair conditioned buildings. Being drenched in sweat and oily is just horrible. Plus he wears a bandanna to keep his hard hat from shifting or whatever.

So, yeah, big ole mess. Anyway, this stuff is amazing. It cleans his hair so well with out sucking out all the moisture. And adds just the right amount of moisture for balance. I swear his hair has never felt so healthy and cared for! Not to mention the flakes have stayed under control! This is just an all around great shampoo!.

I have always loved this shampoo and order it 3 to 5 bottles at a time for several years. This time, however, I have noticed the shampoo is not as thick as it has been in my previous purchases. It was noticeably “waterier.

” I thought perhaps that I just had one bottle that had missed the mark and checked the others. Unfortunately, they were the same. I will continue to buy this product, but it is disconcerting to have a product you love and recommend change by undercover means.

If the per ounce price is not enough margin for the company. raise the price; don’t change the product. So. a sad 4 stars this time instead of 5.

At the threshold, I need to be honest. I have not been blessed with great hair. I needed some help and turned to Duke for assistance. In the past, I have avoided 2 in 1 products because I need some body/volume.

Now for the review. Invigorating cedarwood scent and tingles the scalp. Easy to massage into hair and scalp and easy to rinse clean. Leaves hair shiny and manageable and provides the volume I need. The great cedarwood scent hangs around for awhile, but is not overwhelming or perfume-like.

Sappo organics is a great company. You know the ingredients are good quality and all natural. The soaps are great and so is the makeup. These also last a while too and I would recommend this to others

Good lather, relatively fast shipping. Could have smelled more like patchouli though.

The shampoo is good. I have very straight, fine hair. Leaves my hair shiny, and it lays well with good volume, overall *looks* good, but *feels* like matted straw. This is fixed easily enough by using a conditioner.

If you’re trying to eliminate plastic by switching to a bar shampoo, be aware this is not plastic free and comes in non-recyclable plastic wrapper inside the small cardboard box, which itself, is shipped in too large a box packed with an obscene amount of shredded paper and free samples of their face creams.

you guessed it! More plastic. I’d rather skip the samples and the plastic and would simply have tried the creams anyways if I didn’t think I’d be shipped more plastic in doing so. Good product. Packaging needs work.

Buying from a company touting the horrors of plastic in oceans I was surprised to be sent items in said plastic.

I really like the idea of shampoo bars for environmental reasons, but unfortunately this bar didn’t work at all for me. I have super straight, easy-to-manage hair and, even though Odacite says you don’t need a conditioner with this, my hair would end up like a mix between a bird’s nest and Albert Einstein’s look.

I lost so much hair from using this (literally my pony tail is now half the volume!), and the rest of my hair is dry and brittle. Might have something to do with the water hardness too, as I’d end up with a grimey residue after use.

The bar smells nice though.

I purchased the travel size just to try the product out. My hair is coarse thick asian hair and I live in a condo with hard water. The soap lathers up wonderfully on the hair and the scent is very soft.

This is a wonderful shampoo bar that thoroughly cleans your hair. I highly suggest purchasing a conditioner bar if your hair is naturally on the dryer side. The circular shape of the bar is very agronomical and I much prefer it to the traditional cubes or rectangular shampoo bars.

The travel size has lasted me almost 1 month, approx. 30 washes (some times I had to lather twice because of my thick hair). I would 100% recommend this to family & friends and would re-purchase it.

A lot of the reviews here don’t understand that natural shampoo bars typically do leave a tacky, sticky feeling right after use, when your hair is still wet. Once your hair is dried, that feeling will be gone.

I have switched to using natural shampoo bars for 2 years now. What I really like about them is that they don’t dry my scalp, which makes it A LOT LESS ITCHY. They fixed my dandruff issues which has been there since my teenage.

One problem I’ve encountered with natural shampoo bars is that they do melt away rather quickly, and since I live in a humid city, that makes them pretty difficult to use. This Acure shampoo bar fixed the issue.

It won’t melt away and could easily last 8 months+.

I have used this product twice. It forms nice suds when you moisten the bar. The first time, I thought it either didn’t clean the oil from my hair or didn’t rinse out of my hair because of hard water.

The second time, I worked it through the hair carefully and rinsed twice as much as usual. Some parts of my hair still feel sticky, although in different places than with the first wash. It is also somewhat drying, so I don’t think there is enough argan oil.

I’ll give it one more try before going back to another product that is reliable.

I was test-driving this bar as far as it would take me. My hair felt and looked amazing all day. When I woke up the following day, I didn’t need a comb to fix my hair. Instead, my fingers slid through it, barely encountering a single tangle.

Then, I raced to the vanity mirror to see if I was really awake. My organic-salon shampoo and conditioner leaves the hair on the crown of my head flat. This shampoo bar gave me a little lift and gentle waves.

My hair is naturally curly, and, for the past decade, my curls have been either unruly frizz or non-existent. Now, I have soft waves returning. I usually wash my hair twice a week to prevent over-drying.

I love this bar so much, it completely changed my hair game. I have been looking for a shampoo that wouldn’t irritate my scalp and skin like the normal bottled ones did. I have gone through many natural shampoos and waited through the transition and all but nothing did it for me, I even tried one of the other shampoo bars from here but it didn’t cut it.

So after a year or two of trying out natural shampoos I gave up and started using normal again, which worked for my hair but my skin wasn’t happy. Then one day I read an article about everyone’s hair being unique and that everyone needs a particular routine and product for their hair that will work for them.

That’s when I decided to try chagrin valley’s shampoo bars again, but just try a different shampoo bar than the last one i used from here, so I took the plunge and bought herb garden because why not it sounded nice.

That was the best decision I have ever made concerning my hair and skin, I have been using it for 2-3 months now and its so wonderful it leaves my hair clean and soft without that horrible gummy feeling or not cleaned look.

I also have figured out a hair washing routine that works for me, I lather my scalp with the shampoo bar then rinse, and after that I use ACV diluted with water 1/10 and soak my ends in it then rinse my hair with it and rinse that out, then once I get out of the shower I put the tiniest amount of argan oil on my ends and that’s it.

So what it comes down to is finding the right routine and shampoo that works for you which means a lot of trial and error, but don’t give up if one shampoo bar doesn’t work that doesn’t mean none of the others will either.

I ordered Olive & Babassu, Neem &Tea Tree, and Herb Garden shampoo bar samples. Olive & Babassu left my hair oily and I started getting dandruff. Neem &Tea Tree had a very strong smell and caused my scalp to itch.

I stopped using both after the first or second shampoo. Herb Garden had a milder — almost pleasant — smell. I used that sample up. By the time I was finished with the Herb Garden bar, however, my scalp was very itchy and felt like it was “on fire”.

I stopped using the Chagrin Valley shampoo bars and applied apple cider vinegar rinse on a daily basis to calm the scalp. Taking a good antihistamine for a couple of days helped the scalp irritation/ inflammation go away.

All three of the shampoo bars contain essential oils, to which I must be allergic. Aside from that, I liked the way my hair felt after using the Herb Garden bar, when shampooing was followed by an apple cider rinse I put together with 1 part vinegar and 12 parts water.

This shampoo bar is perfect for folks with oily hair! You know when you use regular shampoo and you feel that there’s still some greasy leftovers on your root? No matter how much you wash it? Yeah me too lol.

The thing is that this bar kind of RESET your hair. It will actually remove all that stuff that causes the sensation of still having your roots dirty. After the first use, I was able to not wash my hair for 4 days without it looking nasty on the roots.

That’s a blessing, considering that I use to have to wash it daily. Awesome product.

I have only used this product once, which is why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 – I haven’t used it enough to see how it will end up being. As far as the product goes, the scent was pleasant, although a bit strong in the can for my tastes.

Once I actually used it, tho, the scent lightened. The lather was incredible – I chose to rub the bar on my wet hair – it only took 3 or 4 strokes, and that was enough to totally lather up my hair – I do have short hair – just barely enough to put into a pony tail, so if it was longer it might take more.

None-the-less, I was impressed. I really liked the little metal tin that the shampoo bar came in – that will make it wonderful for traveling. Would definitely buy this again!.

Pleasantly surprised. I am an older woman with long, dry, silver hair. I live in deep south where humidity is always high. My first experience with shampoo bar and no conditioner was great. My hair was so soft and no frizz! Imediately purchased my sister one.

Wow! Really impressed with the results. I have tried various clean hair products and was using Prose for awhile (they worked fine but it was costly and they use plastic bottles). Glad to finally found a eco friendly, accessible and economic product! My hair is now soft, fizz free and shiny and my scalp feels clean and refreshed.

The scent is mild, which works great for my sensitive skin as I always choose fragrance free products or naturally scented products. No conditioner needed! Huge plus to consume less products and minimize carbon footprint.

It lathers well with hard water in Chicago.

I NEVER rate products. This time it’s worth it. This was my first shot at giving a shampoo bar a try, in lieu of my usual big-name drugstore liquid shampoos. I bought the peppermint bar, and the first thing I noticed was that it wasn’t an overpowering fake scent.

Very light and clean. The lather is creamy and rich (imagine the froth on a coconut milk cappuccino) Rinses squeaky clean, but not stripped. I let my hair air dry, and the amount of SHINE is unreal. Flyaways that frame my face are tamed.

Soft but not stringy. They have a customer for life.

OMG! This was the first shampoo bar I ever tried. The fragrance is phenomenal. Lemon and Thyme. Trying not to waste too much time in the shower sniffing my shampoo bar. I was skeptical, but my hair came out just as good as the liquid-in-a-plastic-bottle stuff.

I have 4b hair and often cowash my hair. However I have struggled with finding a good shampoo that will remove product build up when I use various stylers. Prior to this the only product I was using to effectively cleanse without stripping my hair, was the Deva Curl Build Up Buster, which is very expensive.

I have found that this product works just as well, for much cheaper. It is a much thinner consistency but if you focus on squeezing it with the applicator on the top of the scalp the rest runs down the strands and gives a pretty decent lather.

I still haven’t managed a way to not waste some of the product given the consistency though.

I have been looking for a shampoo that will help me to retain moisture in my hair. Since I had my daughter my hair has been brittle, weak and dry. I tried other shampoo and conditioner and I was still experiencing break and I decided to once again invest i this shampoo.

So far I love how soft my hair feels after washing it and I even use it on my youngest daughter’s hair as well.

I was so excited to try this. I used it and my hair felt gross. As others Mentioned it leaves a residue on the hair. It is very hard to describe, but very noticeable. My hair did not look good at all.

Matter of fact, I came online to Google this product solely because of this feeling and came across all the reviews that confirmed what I felt. It was a waste of money, so if you haven’t already bought it, I highly recommend you pass this one by.

I am Asian, and I have thick, stick-straight, color-treated hair that I would say overall is in decent condition. I initially purchased this shampoo bar to pack on coming travels overseas – I was very excited at the prospect of being able to pack one less liquid! Thank goodness I gave this shampoo bar a try before leaving on my trip, as I found that it was not effective for my hair at all.

Overall, I found that this product was difficult to use, did not rinse out well, and ultimately left a significant, greasy residue in my hair that I just could not sit through and “wait” out. I understand that with SLS-free products there is an adjustment period for the scalp and hair to re-configure its oil production, but I had tried this product for a week (with a total of three washes) before I could not take it any longer and had to call it quits.

Perhaps I chose the “wrong” first SLS-free shampoo for my hair type, but. after a week of use, the grimyness and greasyness of my hair was too much to bear, and I had to use a clarifying shampoo to remove as much of the buildup that it had left in my hair as possible.

I found the shampoo bar difficult to lather: I tried lathering it directly in my hands with warm water; I tried applying the bar directly to my wet scalp, both methods meeting minimal success. As a result, it was also difficult to distribute the product throughout my hair, due to 1) lack of lather, and 2) the stickiness of the product making my hair feel rougher.

It was also very difficult to rinse the product out thoroughly, or know if I had done a complete rinse: as soon as my hair dried after washing, it felt even greasier than before washing, as if I had just attempted to rinse my hair with water only.

My hair texture was changed from soft and silky to rough and matted. I understand that if I was willing to sit through the gritty adjustment period, I would probably be met with better success, but at this time, this product sadly did not meet my needs!.

I’ve decided to wait about a month after receiving this soap in my voxbox to write a review for accuracy. I have used shea moisture products before and many of them. I absolutely love the smell of this soap and the ingredients in it, as well! Within two days I noticed a huge change in my skin already and a positive one at that.

My skin felt and looked very smooth, had reduced redness and absolutely cleared of any pimple or even any sign of an approaching pimple. However; after a couple weeks of using it, I noticed that my skin was becoming dry.

This is very unusual for me because I’ve NEVER had dry patches of skin on my face. I have also recently switched my foundation, but I really do not think it’s the foundation. Plus; I moisturize with almond oil in the morning and almond oil/castor oil at night.

Now, I am still using it because I love it, but if it is the cause for my dry skin then I won’t continue use on my face and instead only use it for my body parts. Lol I also should add that I’m in my third trimester pregnant and moved to Texas from Hawaii, so either of those factors could be playing a role.

I do recommend this soap because it doesn’t have yucky ingredients, smells wonderful, is affordable and makes your skin glow!.

Have been using the brand Davines for years and was buzzing to see they released hard soap versions of their shampoos. The Momo line is great for my hair needs, leaves my hair feeling clean and hydrated! Love the sustainability of the soap versions too, one bar lasts me half a year of hair washing, not only good for the environment, but it’s great value for money for good quality product.

Very easy to use shampoo bar which is great for my hair. I’ve bought it over and over again.

So I had previously read through the reviews before buying this product and a lot of them mentioned that it left the washer with a sort of heavy, gunky feeling after washing. I think the problem here was a bit of user error and a bit of not enough experience to identify moisturized, but clean, hair.

By experience, I mean that I think users had previously been using shampoos that had SLS or other stripping ingredients and were used to that very “squeaky clean” feeling. The directions on the box say to section the hair and use the thin edge of the bar to rub the shampoo on your scalp.

I did so but didn’t notice a lather, so I rubbed the bar with my hands under the water, and the bar produced a VERY generous lather. I then went back in and massaged my scalp with my fingers that had the lather on them.

I think the most important thing to note is that a little goes a LONG way. if you try and rub the bar directly on the hair, it probably won’t work as well as applying directly to the roots and scalp.

The next morning after washing, my hair feels healthy and moisturized but not oily or greasy at all. The only thing I wasn’t too pleased with is that the box has some plastic packaging on the front to give the buyer a view of the bar itself.

The whole reason i had switched from a traditional liquid to a shampoo bar was to eliminate waste, but I still will try to recycle and make the most of it. I might even try to contact Shea Moisture directly to address this issue.

I have an oily scalp with short cropped hair. I have tried several shampoo bars to get away from plastic bottles. Most have been to ok, but I never felt any of the others kept my scalp clean all day.

This one is different. I have been using it two weeks and am pleased so far. I found it on a list of best shampoo bars for oily hair. It works. It has a gentle odor of play-doh. But that is not repulsive.

Its not particularly attractive either. Mostly neutral. It doesnt make your hair smell that way, just how the bar smells when you hold it close. Over all Im pleased and will buy it again.

Long, medium-to-light thickness hair haver here, + some seborrheic dermatitis issues. I had been flirting with the idea of going for a bar shampoo and/or conditioner bar for a while, but never felt convinced enough to make the leap.

After trying and being pretty disappointed with products from a different high-end hair care company (let’s just say it rhymes with pact and pacer) for the past year, I made the leap and tried Kitsh’s Clarifying Shampoo and Deep-moisturizing Conditioner – YEE WOW am I smitten.

They are both scented delightfully (even better than the other brand) and my hair looks and feels better than it has in maybe a decade? I don’t know if I’ll ever find anything that completely resolves my seborrheic dermatitis (hormones, weather being unchangeable issues) but 2 months in and overall my scalp is pretty dang happy.

I hesitate to go full ham in this review (I actually just ordered the conditioner and shampoo bags + brush/exfoliator from the site, got the bars irl from a local shop) but I am really, really pleased with the quality of product, outcome, minimal impact of packaging etc, and overall experience.

I hate buying things on the internet and am super skeptical of online reviews, but appreciated those reviewers before me that helped me make the leap, so I’m throwing mine out there, too. PS – I wasn’t sure the exfoliator would be neat or not, but it is definitely worth its chi-moving powers alone.

Not necessary by any means, like the bags, but certainly augments the experience.

I was suffering itchy scalp for several years, tried different shampoos. First, I was thinking that this is one more “super natural useless stuff, which can’t wash your hair well and do nothing special”.

After 2 weeks using this shampoo I can say – that is what I was looking for my almost whole life! Nobody pays me for this review or gives a discount. I am just very happy to figure out – “my” shampoo is exist.

It washes and foaming well (from second time, need to mention I have soft water), it doesn’t dry my hair, make them light and soft, and it doesn’t irritate scalp and cause dandruff (like all other shampoos do).

I also wash my face with it sometimes. Definitely buy again and again … dear owner! Please do not change formula/stop producing!! (Or give me an alert, I will buy some pieces for future use).

I purchased this shampoo bar entirely based on the “mint and tea tree” aspect. I’m pretty confused because it doesn’t smell like either of those things, and I’m not a chemist, but neither of those ingredients are listed on the box.

It lathered fine. I guess my hair seemed clean. But it smelled so subtle I felt like I was washing my hair with a bar of hotel soap. I’m new to the bar soap shampoo world, and maybe it’s not for me, but even if it is, this one ain’t it.

If you like your shampoo to smell like basically nothing then I suppose this is a good option for you. Side note: I also do find it very weird that all of their positive reviews seemed to come in on the same date.

Okay so let me preface this review by saying that I am not a curly haired girl. I have naturally pretty straight hair. I wanted to try this because I have a really dry scalp and one of the issues this hair cleanser says to help is dry scalp.

This definitely does smell like fruit loops, however the scent is a little too strong for me. I’ve never used a shampoo like this before but it surprisingly didn’t bother me that it wasn’t lathering like I’m used to shampoos doing.

My scalp doesn’t feel as dry as it normally does. One of the main things I noticed after using this is how unbelievably soft my hair feels. I was worried that since my hair is straight it may make it look a little more oily and weighed down, but my hair looks great.

Even my husband made a comment about how good it looked. All in all I’m very impressed by how this performed.

I have short type 4a/4b hair. I bought this because I thought it was a co-wash. it is not. it is a very, very gentle shampoo. (that’s on me for not reading carefully enough. ) but I gave it a try anyway, and it was just okay.

it was difficult to get through my hair, whether I used a comb or my fingers, and I used more of the product than I thought I would need for my short hair. it left my hair feeling dry after I rinsed it out, but that was fine once I followed up with conditioner.

my curls did look nice when I came out of the shower, and my hair and scalp felt clean. I’ll keep this for when I want to deep clean my curls, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again.

i think this is generally a good product. it smells AMAZING (like froot loops) and i always get compliments on how good i smell on wash days (i don’t even have to wear perfume if i wash my hair bc it just makes me smell so good).

i will say, if you have oily hair or use a lot of product, definitely have a detoxifying shampoo on hand because i find this one. i have a pretty oily scalp and find that if i just use this shampoo i normally can’t get out all of the buildup very easily so i typically rotate out a clarifying shampoo once every week or so.

however, if you have normal-dry hair this would absolutely be perfect for you for regular use and even with oily hair it’s great for days where i don’t have a lot of buildup, but just want to freshen up my hair a bit.

I finally decided to use my shampoo and conditioner back in the latter part of April. Not sure if it was the shampoo or me scratching my scalp a couple of days prior to shampooing but, 2 or 3 days later my scalp felt like it burning.

Also, I ended up with brown spots on my scalp. Also, I’ve never experienced what happened to my new RevAir comb. Right after using the products I noticed flakes in my hair. It was from the comb which I used for the 1st time; the coating was peeling off.

Initially I thought it was the quality of the comb. I contacted the company and they sent out a new comb. Several days later when it arrived I used it with completely different products when I washed my hair.

The coating didn’t peel off the replacement. Of course that left me baffled, wondering if the products caused the comb to peel. I decided to open the bottle again, and it smells very strong, unlike any minty hair products I’ve used.

Besides thinking maybe too much mint ingredients were put in it, I didn’t and still don’t know what too think. I was thinking about trying the shampoo again in a couple of months to see what happens but, watering some down in a separate bottle since it’s consistency is rich.

I’ll do a patch test on my skin somewhere 1st the next time. I hope it’s a better experience. I’ll update after the second try.

I have been watching Whitney on her Naptural85 channel for so many years and was really excited when she released her haircare line. I was relieved to finally purchase a product with African black soap and other natural ingredients in the product.

I really, truly wanted to like this shampoo but it just does not work for my hair. I prepooed my hair and I used a small amount of shampoo (just like the directions says to use) on all 4 sections of my parted hair.

After rinsing it out, my hair felt extremely dry and straw like. I even deep conditioned my hair and my hair was still very dry and unmanageable. I even mixed a bit of oil with the shampoo since black soap can be a bit harsh but it still left my hair with the same dry spell feeling.

I ended up just throwing it away because it was past the return date. I won’t buy this again.

This shampoo is a NO for me. After 2 washes, I have residue buildup on my hair that has not washed out. The first time I used this shampoo, I clarified my hair and scalp with a baking soda/water mixture so my scalp and hair were free of residue before using this shampoo.

When I washed my hair, it felt like there was a film on my hair after the first wash. I used the complete Melanin hair care line along with this. I washed my hair a second time (the next week), and my hair feels like it has a film on it (after 2 washes and multiple plain water rinses).

My hair looks dull, feels very heavy, and my curls are limp. I am going to have to clarify my hair and go back to my other holy grail shampoos. I had high hopes for this shampoo because I have been following Naptural85 for years on YouTube and social media and love her hair tips.

However, this shampoo is a miss and I will be returning it for a refund.

Na een spoeling appelazijn is het duidelijk minder maar wil dit niet vaak gebruiken. Ik kijk het nog even aan maar dit is duidelijk niet mijn favoriet.
