I have used this soap in combo with the body lotion every day for three weeks and my dry skin (especially on elbows and legs) has disappeared. So, it is very effective. It leaves a cooling sensation on your body after washing and a squeaky clean feel.
The reason I deduct a star is for the mess. The charcoal in the soap creates a grey black residue on the walls/curtain of the shower (wherever it slings off with lathering/rubbing) that I must clean up via removable shower head after every wash.
If you have a fixed shower head, I would not recommend this soap; go with the mint scrub bar. If you don’t mind the mess, it’s a great soap. As for longevity, I still have part of the bar left after three weeks of daily use.
I expect it to last another week, which is very reasonable given the high cost.

If you are buying this because you like the original Irish Spring soap products, then you will find this to be quite a different product. It smelled great after I removed the clear wrapper holding the 3 huge bars of soap together.

It is nice to see “soap” listed as the first and main ingredient compared to Triclocarban which is the first in another line of very popular soap. If you are buying this for its’ exfoliation, then again you may not be totally happy.
There are noticeable chunks of something that I assume to be oatmeal, but no other sandy type scrub is apparent. I’m guessing that the last ingredient of Titanium Dioxide is ground very finely into the soap and is not that apparent.
All in all, it is a good soap if you don’t mind the missing fragrance.
I really do like this soap! It has a great smell and I leave the shower feeling fully cleansed, which is doubly important on these hot and humid days we have been experiencing. I also like that the exfoliation factor gets the job done without making it feel as if you are rubbing off the top layer of your skin, as I have felt with previous exfoliation bars.
It also lasts a considerably long time which is a major bonus for me, as I hate purchasing specialty type soaps which tend to be expensive, only to have them melt away in a matter of days. So all in all, it is a great bar of soap and is highly recommended.
The only downfall I would associate with it is the fact that it is initially a gargantuan piece of soap which can make it difficult to get a hold of. The angles are a bit sharp and it almost takes two hands to keep it from falling on the floor.
However, this does not last long as it eventually gets to a more manageable size after a shower or two so for me it is not a deal breaker.

I have used dove invisible solid powder scent for over 15 years. It was the only deodorant I could wear and feel confident all day. Recently I noticed a night and day change in your product. If its a new formula, it truly is terrible.
I use to be able to wear your product all day without reapplying, now I can’t make it past noon without having to reapply and even then I am very self conscious throughout the day. I truly am sad that this product doesn’t work effectively anymore.

Changed the formula for the Invisible Solid Powder Fresh. Will you stop changing things Dove? I cannot use the new formula. It breaks me out and it is not invisible anymore. You changed the Dove Moisturizing Body Wash and I used the new body wash one time and was dry and itchy.

I have acne prone combination skin that hates just about every daytime product I use. Decided to give this a go since I love the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, and WOW! Finally, a product that keeps me from getting flaky while keeping the worst of the shine at bay.
I stay hydrated and lightly glowy without irritation/whiteheads at the end of the day. Application wise, it does best on clean but not damp skin. I layer it on top of a toner (Calendula Toner, same brand) and under a thick cream moisturizer (Dr.
