Best Soap For Dry Skin Men (2023 Updated)

I discovered this soap about a year ago and have used it since. The scent is very positive but in no way overwhelming. a fresh outdoors kind of scent. It helps moisterize my skin and reduces the dry skin itch during the low humidity of the winter.

I also use it for shaving my head and face because it works very well. I don’t waste my money on bodywash which was introduced by the soap companies to sell more soap and make more $$. This is a good product for men!.

First off I have to say my husband was very excited surprised he received a VoxBox from Influenster. He’s already a fan of Dove so I figured it would be perfect for him. Here is what he said about each: Extra Fresh Body Face Wash: ✅ for someone who is used to the bar of soap he actually liked this a lot.

He said all you need is a drop it goes a long way. The smell is great and he liked that you can get a body and face wash all in one. So far so good. no breakouts or irritation. Extra Fresh Antiperspirant: ❎ it was decent, had a great smell but he didn’t feel like it lasted him as long as the brand he currently wears.

He works outdoors and right now it’s summer, hot and sticky so he didn’t feel like this would be something he’d purchase again. But again, like everything else. great smell! Extra Fresh Fortifying Shampoo + Conditioner: ✅❎ He was mixed on this because normally he just uses shampoo because he has really short hair.

He couldn’t really say much about the all in one other than the smell being great and his hair feeling super clean. Extra Fresh Body Face Bar: ✅✅✅ His favorite, like the original he said it nourished his skin but unlike the sensitive bars we usually get this one made him feel manly HeHe (it did smell really good) All in all he said he would definitely purchase most of these products again when he runs out, just the antiperspirant wasn’t too great in his book.

Everything did smell really good I am extremely jealous that he got such an awesome VoxBox !!!.

Great soap! It’s good for my skin and it leaves it feeling clean, not oily or dry. I had a rah on my leg, and it went away after I began using this soap. I’m not sure if it was the soap, or something else, but all I know is that it went away.

The smell of the soap doesn’t linger on the skin, so it’s not a problem using a deodorant or cologne that would possibly clash with it. I’m not the most active person, but some soaps leave me smelling like I have been working out after a half a day, Dr.

Squatch does not. The bar lasts almost two weeks with the wooden soap dish included with my purchase. This soap costs a little more up from than the big name branded soaps, but I believe it comes out even or better in the wash (pun intended).

I believe this soap is a good value. I have tried the pine tar soap also. It’s good too. I look forward to trying other scents.

My now 16 year old son came across a Dr. Squatch ad on YouTube almost 2 years ago and begged me to buy it for him. I did without hesitation because I was so happy that my teenage son cared about how he smelled (LOL).

I was immediately impressed when I could smell the bars of soap through the packaging. I was in awe when I could smell the soap in the hallway that lead to the bathroom as he showered. My son was so amazed at how the scent lingered on him after he showered.

We both fell in love with this product and he is the only one that uses it (LOL). Since my first purchase 2 years ago for my son, he has only used Dr. Squatch soap. Makes me happy that he wants to not only be fresh and clean but smell fresh and clean as well.

I wasn’t going to leave a review, because I had email communication with members of your team about how terrible these soaps smell. They keep sending me emails asking me to fill this out, so that’s what I’m doing.

I ordered this Cedar Citrus and the Star Wars set of soaps. I wished I would have not ordered the Star Wars set because I cannot stand the smell of the Cedar Citrus, but I tried it in the shower. Definitely not my thing.

My wife did not like the smell of it either, and turned her nose up to every one of the Star Wars ones. I did not open the Star Wars soaps out of their individual boxes, and I understand that you don’t accept returns, so I will just pass them along to someone else.

I plan on making a post on FaceBook to ask if any of my friends are Star Wars collectors and will gift them to them if they want. Also, the soap saver (wooden block thingy) I ordered, looks very different from the one on the website.

After one use of using that single bar I ordered, I did shake off the excess water before putting it on there, but that bar was almost glued to that soap saver. I was going to use the bar up because I figured I paid for it, I might as well, but it was so hard to pry off, I just threw both the bar of soap and the soap saver into the trash.

Pros: It definitely moisturizes my skin better than the bar soap I currently use. It lathers well and makes for a quick, clean wash. The smell is great and long-lasting, and I prefer this natural scent to the already good original body wash.

Cons: I haven’t used triple milled soaps before, and the smoothness takes getting used to. One of those plastic soap grippers would do well here. My only real gripe is the price. It costs close to double of what I usually pay for bar soap.

It’s definitely better than what I’ve use currently, but a smaller $ difference would make me switch more easily.

Literally the best soap I’ve ever used hands down. Citrus eucalyptus is my fav but that sandlewood reminds me of the smell of the resort I went to for my honeymoon. Very pleasant and relaxing as you exhale the aroma.

Wonderful job guys and don’t even get me started on the deodorant it’s my new favorite and I will not be using anything else but this. All I need now is for you guys to make a lotion or body cream for men.

Then I’ll have every bit of my shower routine I would need. Again all your products are amazing I’m so glad I found your website.

It’s gone from 16 simpler ingredients to 22 and it doesn’t moisturize any where near as well as it used to. Why the major formula change from what it’s been for years without honestly disclosing it on the bottles? Companies advertise “new formula!” all the time.

This was my favorite body wash- zero dry skin quality clean scents. Now my skin is dry again and I would have never known why had I not had an older bottle on hand to check.

So sad that the scent changed on these bars. We compared a bar from the last pack to one from the new pack and it is like 2 different products with the new bar smelling like a cheap green apple/chemical smell.

It’s cloyingly sweet and overwhelmingly strong. We are likely going to donate the remaining bars to a shelter and look for something that smells better. This used to have a very pleasant masculine type of fresh scent.

I actually got this to fulfill a “free shipping order ” and wow! I’m actually gonna get like 10 more boxes! Perfect for my face and body as I’m switching from the “new style of liquid body wash” back to classic and old style of “bar soap.

” This does have a rough like texture as you scrub your body. Not sure why it’s like that. I guess the mini crystals or something to make it “cleaner ” gotta look into it but ya it’s better then your average “Mans” soap.

(Liquid body wash with the “loofah” lol always made me itch as i now know it irritated my skin and left me dry after showers. Switched to bad soap and no more itching or dry skin.

Her son recommended to her and she smells good, it has like a spice scent to it but agrees with her chemistry so I gave it a shot. Most soaps that work dry out my skin but this is the first soap I have used that cleans well and does not dry me out.

Even if this soap was unscented I would still get it. It’s now my go to soap. Bed Bath and Beyond has the best price as well. Love it.

My husband definitely like this soap, he used Dove soap before, but exfoliating one first time. He can wash he’s face too and he’s face is always soft. Smells fresh and controlling body odor. I didn’t see dryness or break outs on his face and his body skin feels smooth and soft always.

Looks hydrated and glowing.

I like Mountain Ocean Coconut Skin Trip Lotion better than the soap; very coconut-y. I have used it for years. The soap smells more flowery/powdery than I remember it; but it is dense & lasts a good, long time.

This soap really makes you feel as if you’re on a trip to the islands !! Or a rain forest shower! It’s light and sensitive on the skin. Keeps skin feeling smooth and clean. I’ve been using since I’m 14 years old.

This is a great product, feels and smells great but does not compare to the lotion that smells and feels incredible. Nevertheless, this is still a great addition to your hygiene regimen and highly recommended.

Especially combined with the lotion after your shower or bath!.

Finally a moisturising, deodorant soap for men that note overpowering and not feminine either. Works great for sensitive skin and hard water/heavily chlorinated Coty water too. Nice rich lather and a smaller bar that fits easily into a washcloth or hand.

Doesn’t seem to get soft on the shower either or dries out. My partner was using the “gold” soap and thought it was fine until he used this. He even uses it on his face to shave now instead of shaving cream as I bought him some disposable razors from Sams Club that he says are the ULTIMATE razors he’s ever used that gives him a close, nick free shave! He’s really happy now with Thai combination amd thinks I’m spoiling him.

Wish life was this easy!! I’m really happy to have read other positive reviews and some negative but more importantly is he’s really pleased. Definitely a win for our house!.

It’s new so I tried it as they were out of Irish Spring. It costs more than Irish Spring with fewer bars of soap and the bar is smaller. The reason is (they say) that the bar contains moisturizing cream which means nothing to me but it might to some others.

The soap smells good and does a good job but its cost due to its amenities would probably keep me from purchasing it again.

Dove makes a great product here, just like almost every thing they make. Dr. suggested that I use Dove Men + Care products on my body. That act solved numerous problems with my 77 year old skin. I haven’t had a rash, or any other skin problem since that day.

I do have a lot of other problems. Sometimes I think that it’s the same product that, my soon to be ex-wife uses, in a different box. But that is ok with me. It could be less expensive, but we are talking nickel’s not dollars.

I’m very sad to admit, I don’t know what you guys have done, I’m not sure if it was a bad batch, or you’re cheaping out on materials, but I’ve ordered 2 competing brands pine tar soap because whatever you’ve been selling the past few months is GARBAGE compared to what it was.

James ‘and mikes commercials brought me in, pine tar kept me happy. until you changed the recipe and now my girlfriend and I can’t even walk into our bathroom with that soap being in there. It’s smells so synthetic and fake now.

I don’t know what to think. I used to LOVE the original pine tar, bought it for all brother in laws for Christmas. now I wouldn’t give it away for free. I have 2 bars downstairs you sent me “free” that I’m actually trying to return, I genuinely don’t want FREE soap, it’s that bad.

I sincerely hope you fix it soon, because you’ve lost a 200$-500$ a year customer for good. I’ll let you know how 360Feel and the Black Stuff Companies soap compares because that’s who I’m going with until you fix this.

Make it right! go back to your original recipie, take this garbage you sent me back, and send me a few bars of original to replace this, and we’re square. Google “Dr Squatch Pine Tar new formula” and you’ll see there’s lots of others who’ve noticed and are extremely disappointed.

Fix it.

Oh man what can I say about this awful product. 1) leaves your skin feeling all sticky and gross. Like a cheap bar of soap from Motel 6. 2) the color from the soap will stain your bath tub so be aware of this.

3) it doesn’t last long for the price you pay. I was able to finish my bar in about a week and a half. Thats pretty bad when I paid $16 for the soap and beard oil together. 4) once the bar gets smaller, it will break into multiple pieces which is super annoying.

5) the smell is so average. They market their soap as if women won’t be able to get enough of the smell but it doesn’t smell any different than any other soap you can find in the store. Final verdict: stick to body wash especially considering the price of dr Squatch products.

No wonder they advertise so much. They are desperately trying to make sales.

Good afternoon, I purchased several items on December 27. Order number 9622328. I’ve purchased The pine tar soap a few times and I loved it so I was excited to try the deodorant. I also ordered the Star Wars collection for my son.

Unfortunately the deodorant smelled nothing like the pine tar soap it smelled more like Vicks VapoRub, yuck. And the two bars of pine tar soap from this recent order smelled nothing like the original pine tar.

I still had a little bit left over to compare. Is it possible there was an off batch or this was mixed up with another smell? I’m hesitant to order any more. Do I return these in exchange for new bars? I’ll keep the Star Wars collection as he will probably not use them.

My husband uses this in the winter time because his skin likes to dry out and flake without it. It smells like cocoa butter, almost chocolatey smell, really helps moisturize and repair skin in no time.

It’s not greasy and cleans his face really well. His breakouts will be greatly improved upon the first use but especially after a few days of continual usage.

I’ve tried many of the bars from Baxter of California. They do lather well, but the green striped, orange striped and the charcoal do not compare to the original green exfoliating bar. They are pricey to use daily but do last a while.

I really like this bar! I’ve only ever tried one other Baxter bar before (theBaxter Exfoliating Body Bar), but this one did not disappoint either. While it doesn’t have the scrub that the exfoliating bar had, it still felt very cleansing and moisturizing.

I’ll definitely be buying more from this brand in the future.

Bro let me tell you about this soap. Absolutely LOVED this soap, it smells good, it cleans well, it makes my skin feel soft without drying it out, and the money goes to good causes. I hate bars of soap but these are amazing, the only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I wish it had more grit in it which is really just a personal preference there’s nothing wrong with the soap (I bought another soap with more grit in it from you guys).

This may be my favorite scent. I don’t care for over bearing scents, this is very mild and clean. I swipe the bar over myself a few times and it builds a thick lather quick!! Makes my skin feel really clean and happy.

Great suds in a nice package. This scent is not gonna be it for guys who want the teen overpowering scent. It’s mild and clean. Just buy it, you won’t regret it.

I will admit it, I am a soap snob. Its one of the few luxuries I indulge in, having a drawer full of triple-milled French soaps in wonderful fragrances, etc. I wanted a soap that my college age son would enjoy, something fragrant but not flowery, nor excessively masculine.

I also wanted it to lather well and leave skin moisturized. This soap smells absolutely wonderful! I mean, really, really good. It also lathers very well and my son says he really likes it. Personally, I dont find the fragrance too masculine for a woman to use; it is a crisp, astringent citrus with earthy undertones.

In other words, a true vetiver with hints of neroli orange. Do note, The description says 8 ounces, 2 bars. I thought this was a steal because to me, that meant two 8-oz bars. In fact, what you get our two 4-oz bars, which total 8 ounces.

SheaMoisture is an awesome brand, I have used and tried a lot of their products. When it comes to soap, I usually stick to my light/no scented dermatologist-approved soap, so I was very worried about SheaMoisture Men Raw Shea Butter Mufura Oil – Moisturizing Bar Soap because you can smell it right away while still in the package.

After using it for about a week you can start to see how your skin looks and feel very moisturized. I like this product but wished it was non or light-scented. Overall this is a nice and good bar of soap.
