20 Best Soap For Baby Bottles (2023 Updated)

I have usually use the regular Dapple dish soap (no fragrance), but I picked up a bottle of the foaming one to try out because I liked the convenience of not having to build up a lather. I use glass bottles for the baby (mason jars, the 4 oz and 8 oz jelly jars; look up Mason Bottle for accessories) and it works well enough on glass and any plastic items, like pump parts, nipple rings, and bottle caps.

However, even though they seem to be the same product and one just foams, the foaming one doesn’t get the milk film off silicone items (my Haakaa silicone pump or baby bottle nipples) as well as the regular dish soap.

I do use it on silicone items that don’t come into contact with breast milk, like a teething toothbrush (also by Haakaa) and a silicone straw that my baby also likes to use as a teether, but that’s it.

I’ve tried using it to clean the Haakaa multiple times. I’d scrub and rinse to look for any difference in cleanliness, but it only makes a little dent. Once I switch back to the regular soap, it gets way more off.

It’s still not perfect, it takes some time to get it completely off, but it works much better than the foaming soap. I don’t know why it isn’t as effective. Maybe it’s because the regular soap is more concentrated or something.

While I like it for the other things mentioned above, I don’t know if I’d purchase it again. I find it curious that Dapple doesn’t sell it on their Amazon store and, in fact, I can’t find anyone carrying it on Amazon.

I wonder if it’s not very popular.

I have been using this soap since my daughter was born. I was very happy with the way it was cleaning her bottles. The moment I really realized just how amazing it is was though was this summer when we were in vacation for 2 weeks and I was using different dish soap.

The bottles began looking mush less clean. I was using the same bottle brush I use at home. The only difference was the soap and it was night and day. This brand has my trust. The high chair cleaner is also a really nice product.

I do quite a bit of research on products with clean, less toxic ingredients and these products are safe which gives me one less thing to worry about! 100% recommend!.

I got a bottle of this at my baby shower. Thinking it was kind of silly to have a soap for baby bottles and parts. Was I wrong!!! I used the bottle of Dapple and when I ran out I used my regular dish soap.

The regular dish soap made my bottles and parts have such a STRONG scent of the dish soap I gagged. I felt like my baby was drinking dish soap formula!! I sterilized, sanitized, and switched back to the Dapple immediately! I won’t use any other soap to clean the bottles and parts.

It’s great with residue and the scent doesn’t stay on the bottle.

It doesn’t foam which is good especially when washing bottles but the smell is a bit too stringent for me.

Overall, I thought the product was good. At first use and feel of the product, I initially thought that it was a bit thin for my taste, but that was ok. I liked the idea that it had no smell, odor or detectable perfumes in it.

I liked that it represents the Dreft name and I felt comfortable using it on the items my children eat and drink with as well as being able to remove that milk odor from their bottles and/or sippy cups.

I think the design of the bottle is cute and easy to handle/use (the pump action instead squeeze and squirt. ) The clear bottle makes sense considering the claims of being a certified USDA Biobased product, having no dyes or fragrance and being “dermatologist tested”.

“Dermatologist tested” is nice, but there could be more info on the testing that was done and the results of said tests. Assuming that it’s a reasonable price in stores; it would be a good bottle and dish soap to use.

It is easy on the hands for those who wash dishes and hands regularly.

I received the Dreft Bottle and Dish Soap as part of a product test. I was pleasantly surprised by the packaging. The bottle was shrink-wrapped to prevent unwanted leaking. This was easy to remove in order to begin using immediately.

The pump on the bottle is extremely convenient to use while in the middle of washing bottles and pumping supplies. The soap is unscented, it has the scent of unscented baby lotion, very mild and unnoticeable.

The soap suds up nicely. I soaked my pumping supplies and bottle. With my normal “all natural” dish soap, I find I still have to scrub the bottles/pumping supplies and there seems to be a fog left on the items.

With Dreft, I did not need to scrub the items and no film was left on the bottles or flanges. I will definitely be using this in the future for all my baby’s items.

I’ve only tried one other brand for baby bottle and dish soap, but Dreft held up pretty well. I was surprised that the consistency was more liquidy than the other brand I use. A little squirt doesn’t go a long way as I’d hoped.

The bottle size is great for the price, and is recyclable. I like the pump – works well and makes washing easier. I like that it’s made without dyes or fragrances, and has plant-based ingredients. It does remove milk film and cleans everything well enough.

The only thing I’m concerned about is that other Dreft products have such a low rating on EWG, and I’m not sure yet where this products falls on their standards. I’d purchase this if I was in pinch.

I used to have to stock up on bandages for my hands and fingers before winter furnace air stared to destroy my skin. It took years to find the few shampoos, soaps, lotions and cleaning products that my body could tolerate.

Now, the only problem with the Pear Nectar Scent Dishwashing Liquid and Laundry dtergent are that there is seldom enough. Like with cooking: if it isn’t a hit, you’ve made too much. But if it is well received, you can’t seem to make enough!! That’s a great compliment.

I have found this dish soap to be excellent and makes washing my dishes a lot easier, especially since I don’t currently have a dishwasher. One downside is I feel like I go through it really quickly, since the liquid comes out quite fast.

Perhaps if they changed the cap to be more similar to mainstream dish soaps (e. g. Dawn), not as much liquid would come out each time I use it, and it would last longer. Otherwise fantastic product!.

I am pleased with this dish soap – it suds up nicely, cleans well and it received an A rating from the EWG. However, I do not love the bottle. In my opinion, way too much product flows out of the top when using, so you have to be careful not to overpour soap.

A different bottle top that helped control the pour would be my suggestion. Otherwise, this is a great environmentally-friendly choice for handwashing dishes.

I think that this soap works well. This is a plant based bottle soap. It contains no sulfates , parabens, dyes, or fragrance. It is hypo allergenic and non toxic so also pet friendly. It has been pediatric and dermatologist tested.

It gets the bottles and the dishes really clean. There is no milk film left behind and they smell fresh. The dishes rinse easily and there is no type of soap residue left behind. I definitely recommend this.

We’ve been using this for our bottles and bottle parts for months now. When our baby was born, the first couple months we were using regular dish soap and it always left a strong smell behind. He hated it and would gag, who knows if it left a soap taste as well.

I realized regular dish soap might be to much for washing baby bottles so we started getting this instead. 100% better! Leaves NO smell, rinses easily and definitely feels clean. We buy this refill bottle and pour it into a random foaming container we already had that I rinsed really well.

It works great. Our baby is almost 11 months now and this size refill lasts us a solid 2 months- that’s with washing about 4-5 bottles and their parts (dr. Brown) a day. Great product, definitely a staple.

Originally thought this was shampoo or lotion at first but still bought it once I seen its just dish soap, I usually just use gain dish soap to clean my toddler and my baby’s bottles as it smells good and I believe it’s safe but since I had a registry coupon I got this for only $1.

99 which is worth a try. At first I did hate it as it smelled like plastic and I didn’t think a foam would clean bottles but I only used it for a day and it surprisingly cleans even better than my gain dish soap.

Yes, BETTER! Totally worth every penny now. Although this is “fragrance free”, it leave my baby’s bottles CLEAN, as in no foul or spoiled odor what so ever. Would consider paying retail price as this product does work.

I also feel better having a seperate special soap for my baby’s item as a sanitary precaution.

The only soap I trust to wash my baby dishes with! I’m super conscious of the ingredients and scents that I use around my baby, especially for bottles. This, though fragrance free, leaves no scent of stale milk or formula behind.

No greasy residue or water spots, and my bottles nipples have not gotten discolored! I like that I can purchase jumbo refill bottles to use with the foaming dispenser. As an added bonus, I was surprised with how long a bottle lasts! I just emptied my first bottle after nearly 2 months of hand washing dishes for an exclusively bottle fed baby.

I feel reassured by using this bottle cleanser that I am getting rid of all the nasty germs properly. My baby is breastfed, but we use bottles on occasion and before using this cleaner, I was finding it really hard to get the fatty milk residue off bottles and teats.

This cleaner does a wonderful job to give a proper clean. I still sterilise afterwards, but am now confident that there is no residue left behind.

Found this bottle cleaner to do a pretty good job. Kept all my bottles clean and without the milky buildup. The bottle of solution lasted a really long time. I found it to be quite reasonably priced and was pretty happy that it was fragrance free and I knew it was safe for my baby’s bottles.

We used bottle cleaner for our first baby but this time around, I have just rinsed thoroughly before putting them into the steriliser. To be honest, I am not sure bottle cleaner is completely necessary but if you want to be extra vigilant it is a good idea.

I have brought this before my baby was due and since I have been using it throughout the day, daily, to wash my breast pump accessories, baby bottles, teethers dummy’s and the whole lot. This cleans so well and does not leave no smell like other detergents.

It really is very gentle yet effective in ensuring all milk residue it cleaned thoroughly. My baby is now 5 months and I am on my possibly 8-9th bottle? I love it so much. Well worth the money for what it is.

It’s just annoying that it’s quite difficult to find.

We’ve been using this washing cleaner for nearly 2 years since i gave birth my lil one. This is clinically tested and dermatologically tested and suitable to wash all baby and family items. I feel all the bottles so much cleaner after washing with this cleaner.

This is not for sterilising as the previous reviewers seem to think. its simply a washing up liquid thats gentle with no scent or colour to taint the baby bottles. Its great for washing them by hand prior to sterilising in the steam steriliser.

I love Dapple and buy this stuff by the load because it really does clean well. I actually use it as my main dishwashing detergent so go through it frequently. My complaint is with this supposed 34 oz package that is marketed as filling 2 16.

9 oz bottles and is supposed to be less plastic and a better bang for your buck. WELL, IT IS NOT. The last 4, yes 4 of these refills that I have used only refilled my dapple pump bottle 1. 25ish times.

1 and a quarter times is NOT what I’m paying for. I’m going to now be a jerk to the environment and just purchase the bottles.

We’ve been using the Dreft Bottle and Dish Soap for the past week to wash and clean our babies bottle and bottle parts. It’s nice that it doesn’t have a heavy scent to it. Some soaps we’ve used leave a strong odor after the parts are cleaned and this Dreft soap doesn’t.

We use formula which can leave quite a bit of residue in the bottles and parts. Dreft Bottle and Dish Soap did a pretty good job of getting the filmy formula residue off. It did require us to use the bottle brush in the smaller parts where as some other soaps didn’t require much scrubbing.

Overall, we would continue to use this product on our babies bottles and bottle parts. We feel it is a safe product to use with out baby.

I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised! Coming from only using Dapple to wash my baby products (cups, bottles, pacifiers, spoons) I didn’t think Dreft would top it due to its initial appearance. I observed the Dreft soap to be more liquified than Dapple, however, it actually cut through the milk film better than Dapple.

We use a German formula and noticed we had to sometimes wash the bottles twice with dapple or else there would be an oily film left behind. Knowing what I do about how the bottles tend to have an oily film after one wash, I was pleasantly surprised to see no oily residue left after just once of washing with the Dreft bottle wash! The Dreft soap does have more of a chemical smell than Dapple does though, but I guess that’s to be expected since it cuts through the oily film a little better.

It is fragrance free as advertised. However the product came “separated” meaning there is a harder jelly-like part on the bottom and very liquid part on top. I was able to mix them together but only by opening the bottle and using the straw part to stir.

After a few hours the two parts have separated again. kind of weird.

The ONLY dish soap I will use on my little ones bottles, pacifiers and feeding accessories. With natural ingredients and no fragrance I can be sure it will not cause any reactions but still clean my babie`s products perfectly.

Always a repeat purchase for our household.

I love this product! I use it to clean all of the removal parts from my breast pump and on all of my bottles as well. I can feel good knowing that I am using something that will clean thoroughly but is still free of all toxins and baby safe! Would definitely recommend this product.

The soap is great. The refill leaks less in shipping than the original bottle. My only complaint is this plastic bag has no structure and requires both hands the empty, especially the second half which takes some work to balance while folding and squeezing and I usually just don’t get the last of it because it’s not worth the work.

You can’t leave it to drain it falls also. Aka- you do have to put your baby down to refill this bottle. Using a recycled cardboard container with form and easy to pour would be both more functional, and more eco friendly.

Caused bottle regression in my infant. She is primarily breast fed but would take bottles. I started using this soap and (it took me too long to realize it) she started hating bottles. Even after thorough rinsing there was still enough soap residue that she could taste it.

This stuff is amazing! I never had stinky bottles or cups because of this. It’s an amazing value for the product you get. I used it for baby bottles and then thought I wouldn’t need it when my son moved on to sippycups and regular milk.

I was wrong! I went straight to the store and bought 2 refill pouches. I will continue to use it.

I have been using Dawn original for years, but just recently I purchased a different scent of Dawn and it instantly gave me a headache. I knew that if it is going to affect me that quick, it definitely isn’t safe to wash my babies bottles/dishes with! After seeing/hearing all the great reviews, o decided to give this soap a try and I’m so glad I did! It’s amazing stuff! Soaps up great, cleans great, and even though it’s “fragrance free” I like the faint scent it does have.

It smells very green and clean. Definitely recommend!.
