18 Best Snowmobile For Trail Riding (2023 Updated)

I purchased this sled middle of March and used it several times. Great product, the only reason for not 5 stars is because there is a metal ring that holds the straps together and it started coming apart.

Easy fix but I would think it would have been put together a lot better coming from Titan.

Very poor construction. One tiny weld holding the the upright cylinder in place.

Okay I received the power sled in the mail. The package was fairly new but the product was wrapped professionally I use the powersled to train my bully, so I cannot complain with the equipment it has not broken or bent on me my advise, if ur looking for a durable sled this is not it, this sled will last 6 months tops for serious high school athletes and 18 months if your willing to hit it with a hammer, you get what you pay for not a bad product for the price.

The best feature with this jacket is the fit. I did go up 1 size compared to my normal to give room for extra layers. I like the neck as it’s not so high & stiff that it bothers me with my helmet. I normally buy FXR jackets but couldn’t stand the colors or the necks on the 2021 styles.

I do wish all the manufacturer’s would give women a better color selection. I wanted a red/black/white/high vis combo. I like the turquoise on this one compared to some other girly pink or purple. I wore it riding on a -23 degree day.

It kept me warm when riding and the wind didn’t seem to go right through it but I do wish it were a bit heavier. Great jacket for those days above 0 degrees for sure.

I ordered this on December 14 (mid afternoon) with an expected delivery on the18th. It came on the 16th. That’s service! The Jacket itself is even better. I got it partly for aesthetics, but the details of the jacket (which do a lot to sell it) don’t live up to actually handling and wearing it.

I first came across this jacket out of town a couple months back, and had been thinking about it. It’s even better than I remember. I can’t think of a single bad thing I could possibly say. It’s all high quality material and comfortable to wear.

Seems like I bought it at the right time too, because as I write this it’s currently out-of-stock (it had a sale price).

I love this jacket and it keeps me very warm. I probably could have a better fit with an X L. I am not overweight but large size is typically fit me best but to get the extra room for sweaters and all an XL would’ve been better.

Over all love love love this jacket.

These skis made a world of difference on how my sled handles, both on the trail and in deep powder. They are definitely high quality skis. As soon as you unbox them you can tell they are a well made product.

They are quite stiff at first but as you walk in them, they break in nicely. They are very comfortable and definitely warm! I had zero issues with warmth riding in 0 degree weather. The quality is great and they seem like they’ll hold up to abuse! They are also quite protective, a buddy decided to run over my foot and I didn’t really feel it.

I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase these boots!.

Had the boots a few months now, was out again yesterday plowing snow after our fourth storm in a row. Also assisted a neighbor who had gotten his side by side stuck in deep snow, was up to my waist in snow getting him towed out and the boots functioned perfectly.

Feet were never cold, wet or tired or sore. Highly recommend these boots.

Don’t buy these boots. They don’t last. Used 6 times snowmobiles and already falling apart. I had my klim boots for 9 years and still look like new. Don’t waste your money. Will be sending back for warranty.

I first come across these sleds years ago while hunting in Canada. They used it to carry a deer by pulling behind a snowmobile. I live in Kansas where we have little snow, especially in deer season. I purchased my first one 15 years ago.

Now replacing with looks to be even a better quality product. It does well on grass, fields, across creeks, etc. We even use it around the home while doing yard work. The thing I like best, one person can load a deer.

Simply turn sled on side and roll the deer over into the sled. The deer rides home in the sled. I skin the deer over the sled. After the deer is skinned and quartered, simply hose it out. Fantastic product.

Use your imagination and it has many uses.

This sled is lightweight but tough; thick material that stands up to bumps and scrapes. I bought the smaller one to use for dragging a deer out of the woods. For ice fishing, I’d get the larger size so you’ll have room for all your “stuff”.

Even though it is not directly marketed as “fun” snow sled it is the best snow sled I have found. I purchased for my grandkids but I’m considering one for me! It’s very sturdy & the higher sides keep the young ones secure.

These boots are surprisingly good. As a rule I avoid retailer brand products because almost without exception they turn out to be poor quality cheap imitations of the good name brand product I end up buying afterwards anyways.

I got a pair of these on sale and was so impressed I ended up buying two more at the regular price. I used them for one winter season so far shoveling and walking through the snow. They don’t leak, they keep my feet warm, they are comfortable, sized accurately, and are very easy to slip into due to the wide opening on top.

I have nothing to complain about which is praise in and of itself. They do what they are supposed to do at a much better price than the competition. I’m not going to tell you these are better than the expensive name brand products or that they will keep your feet warm during a trek across Antarctica but for your average Joe doing normal stuff they are great.

We got about 3 inches of snow, then about an inch of rain right after. This left heavy, slushy snow with pools of water everywhere. These boots were great. They kept my feet dry and warm as it took about two hours to clear the snow.

Very happy with this purchase. I did order a size larger than I normally wear to account for heavy socks. A little loose near the heel, but other than that, a nice fit.

Same boots I have purchased twice over the last couple of years. Paid $34 and change on both other pairs. Prices have doubled. Same quality boots, just cost twice as much now. Time to cancel this membership.

No more value to me.

Not overly impressed with a jacket that cost me $600. I was really excited about this jacket. Klim changed their sizing so although I am a small according to their sizing and all my base layers, the small was huge on me.

I also felt that the zippers under the armpits were so bunchy. I decided to return an order an xs to see. It is still quite large on me, the armpits are a bit bunchy but not as bad. I am 5’6″ and 120lbs.

I can barely get my gloves on because the sleeves are so long. It’s a bummer that they changed their sizing. I would like something a little less baggy and I feel for any ladies smaller than myself. Still unsure if it’s worth keeping or not.

I have this same jacket in a different color, wanted another one because i loved my first. I have tried the rest. North Face, Arc’terx, LL Bean and Patagonia. none even come close to the Gore Windstopper.

By far this jacket is the best for colder weather climates like MN and ND. You will not be disappointed unless you’re looking for something light.

Overall, great size, great material, lots of versatility. It’s not super heavy. Lots of points for attaching ropes and tethers, pulk poles, and so on. I used this in the BWCA last January and had an excellent time — after working out the kinks.

We had warmer weather on the hike out (high 20s, low 30s; roughly 6 miles with two or three portages), which made the snow soft and sloppy. The weight distribution wasn’t quite right, close but not quite perfect.

The sled tipped a lot until I over indexed weight in the back (which you should do anyway, I know), and after that, we were smooth sailing. Some of the portages were tricky, as they are, which made for more delicate maneuvering to avoid tipping and so on.

But the narrower build is worth it when blazing trail. Overall, it’s great sled.

IT IS LARGE- SO CAPACITY IS GOOD. REI IM SURE YOU CAN FIND A BETTER SLED FOR THE SAME COST OR LESS. THE DESCRIPTION IS DEFINITELY MISLEADING THIS IS NOT WHAT I WOULD CALL A PRO EXPEDITION SLED.

YouTube videos and older reviews are almost always positive. Newer reviews, not so much. The sled I received had sharp flanges on the bottom of the rope holes where the injected plastic had leaked out of the mold.

If not trimmed, a rope could be worn through. Worse, not enough plastic was used to fill the mold leaving the bottom of one side rim rippled and demonstrably thinner. There was no confidence that it could withstand the stress of securing a load.

Returned it. Noticed another identical sled in the ‘used’ section with a split down the middle.

This is a great coat made by an outstanding company that stands behind thier products. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the fit of the inner liner jacket. I feel like it fits like it is one size to small or like it is a slim fit jacket.

I only tried the jacket on once so far because I ordered it post season but when I did the inner liner fit almost like a compression jacket. I don’t know if this is by design to keep you warmer or if it is just not the perfect fit for me.

I guess this is not a deal breaker though as I can use other mid layers if I need too. The main outer shell part of the jacket fits wonderfully. Overall I am happy with the jacket I do not think I will be using the inner part of it though.

Absolutely awesome. We were in International Falls Thursday morning 41below zero and the jacket and bibs preformed flawlessly. What a delight!

Great quality as usual. Insulation is not too much and allows for fewer layers underneath. Great venting.

Great bibs. I love the built in gators and the thigh ventilation. Adjustable waist band with Velcro straps make them a great customizable fit. The zippers are all shielded so no cold drafts.

They were super warm but too form fitting. The chest was way too tight and the pant legs were too short. Overall, they came fast but didn’t like the fit.

I had a pair of Castle X snow pants before these that didn’t have the higher back. Whenever I went snowmobiling or skiing I would get snow down the back of them. These work very well when snowmobiling.

They have adjustable velcro on the side to tighten/loosen depending on how many layers you have. So far I’m very happy with this purchase.

Well after receiving these in a timely manner i have had some time to put them through there paces. Pros: Warm, Great fit, Good Materials Cons: I don’t think that these were assembled very well. The cord end locks fell off after an hours use.

The rest of the glove performance seems great although I question the waterproof of the glove. Riding in slightly wet condition they seemed a bit wet inside. Not to bad and that may have been just sweat building up and i will have to further test that.

Overall it’s a great glove for the price. Shipping and customer service was good.

Light duty very warm gloves. They are not made for working like a leather palm provides and would ware out quickly if that is what one wants to do with them. Very bulky which is why they work so well in the cold yet compress to give good feel of small things like flash light buttons.

The draw strings can get caught yet work well. I recommend drawing them tight where you want them then cut and tie the strings shorter.

Sportsman guide has a couple of Gauntlet style Snowmobile gloves. This pair has the lesser amount of insulation of the two gauntlet Snomobile gloves. However these are water proof and with gauntlet gathers, you can seal your arm and hand against snow and wind invasion.

I would caution against sub zero temperatures. On a recent night here in Northern New England at -12 F I did feel the cold through these gloves. I have a pair of glove liners I put on, then pulled on these gloves over them and I was better insulated and my hands stayed warm.

If somone were to play or operate a snowblower, or a snowmobile, in sub zero temps one would be better suited in the Sportsman Guide CRX Cross Snowmobile Gloves with more available insulation. However as in all things Winter, one must use caution and monitor temperatures, as well as monitoring themselves in the cold.

These Guide Gear 100s are a good all around work and play winter glove.

I have been riding 11 years with 11,000 miles experience in northern Maine. After 100 miles riding the lakes and trails with Klim?s Rift Jacket I can say it is warm, dry and wind free down to -3*F with the wind chill at -14 all day long.

I rode that entire day. Nothing got through the jacket. NO snow melt from the track and no body perspiration either. I need both jacket vents open above 25*F on a sunny day. No drafts with the vents open at 60 mph.

Just good riding.

Very warm. Rode in -15 temps. Very comfy. Got hot in temps near zero, unzipped the vents located under arms. Worked great. Took liner out on trail once the temps were above 20. Was very warm without liner.

My first suspension. At 75 yrs old, I had moved away from a road bike to a Salsa Fargo adventure bike in 2015. The imperfections & bumps have been eliminated! I did lose some efficiency on pavement & hills that I had with my steel fork, but that is a small tradeoff compared to a comfortable ride plus riding much faster over the rough stuff.

This fork is only about 1lb heavier than my steel Salsa Firestarter. In addition to the Fargo being great for touring & commuting, I now can enjoy an expanded capability of true mountain biking as well; 100 mm of travel was the limit for my Fargo & is plenty for me.

Fox has apparently made another quality product at a somewhat lower price point. I decided to spend the extra money instead of choosing another lower priced brand.

This fork works incredibly well and has all of the features expected of a top tier product. It is the performance elite version of the Fox 36 which means the materials, damper, and everything else are identical to the Fox 36 Factory, the only difference being the black coating on the stanchions instead of the Kashima coating on the Factory forks.

The Grip2 damper is supple on the beginning stroke yet has plenty of mid stroke support and a natural progressive feel when you reach the limits of the travel. The adjustability possible with this damper makes it capable of performing equally well in all conditions as long as the rider knows how to adjust the settings appropriately.

I found the Fox website helpful in determining good starting points for air pressure, compression, and rebound values. However, the air pressure necessary to achieve the sag differed significantly from the recommended settings.

As a 165lb rider, I found myself at roughly 48 PSI rather than the suggested 65 PSI so it is important to experiment with the air pressure to find each individual’s own ideal amount. Overall it is a great fork as other review magazines and channels have said, I am very satisfied with the performance and tuning options.
